XSEED Games will release Trinity Trigger for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch in North America and Europe in early 2023, the publisher announced.

Published by FuRyu and developed by Three Rings, the action RPG is due out first in Japan on September 15, 2022.

Trinity Trigger is an all-new action role-playing game combining the look and feel of iconic RPGs of the ‘90s with an emphasis on fast-paced, customizable combat. Players take control of three young heroes as they attempt to defy fate and save the continent of Trinitia. Accompanying them are the Triggers, strange creatures with the unique ability to transform into eight types of weapons that players must master if they hope to be successful on their quest. In a forgotten age, the Gods of Order and Gods of Chaos challenged one another for dominance in epic clashes that spilled out from the heavens to the continent of Trinitia. Curtwen Week Day 4: Haunted

I like the thought that Celebrimbor puts a Fëanorian star on the Doors of Durin because it means he's made peace with his past; it's a sign he's let go of any bitterness and resentment he might - however justifiably! - hold towards his father and the rest of his family, and he's moving on.

But at the same time, I really like the idea that it's also a statement. That star is the device of the House of Fëanor, and he is the last member of that house still living in Middle-earth. And by putting the star on the West-gate, what he's saying, effectively, is: "I am the House of Fëanor now, I decide what our legacy in Middle-earth is to be, and I say this is what that house now stands for: friendship, inclusivity, co-operation, trust, peace."

And I don't think those two ideas are mutually exclusive. Often laying old ghosts is the necessary prelude to making that kind of positive change. And I do love the idea of Celebrimbor as someone who is constantly, consciously trying to do better.

Ngl, obsessed with the idea that the questers know that legolas is, if not thousands of years, then centuries old, but it not regestering until he mentions having met their ancestor or a historical figure to them. It doesn’t help that legolas looks like a teenager.

Just like that scene with eowyn realizing aragorn is a legit grandpa but with legolas and the rest of the walkers instead.

Legolas: i never had the pleasure of having a conversation with the man, but from the brief glimpses of (insert boromir’s ancestor from 1000 years ago here) that i saw, he was an honorable man.

Boromir, bluescreening: yes, he was known as quite the chivalrous man. But for you to have met him you must be at least a thousand years old!

Legolas: *clicks tongue and doesn’t say anything with an amused smile*

Aragorn, who has gone through all these emotions already: older.

Gimli: Older?? Are you telling me that this beardless, pointy elf with a face of a teenager is, what? 2000?

Aragorn: more.

Gimli: MORE???

Merry: if he is close to 3000 years than he was probably born around the last war for the ring!

Legolas, enjoying this all immensely: i was old enough to fight in it actually.

Pippin: alright, so legolas is 3000 and a few centuries. That’s a lot older than i thought to be honest. He looked like the youngest elf in rivendale.

Legolas: i’m 4000, actually.

Gimli: GODDAMN IT! I knew we shouldn’t trust these babyfaced point ears! You can’t even tell their age!

Legolas: if it makes you feel better, other elves also have a hard time discerning the age of silvans. They’ve routinely thought of mine to be millenia younger that we actually are.

Literally going insane over how

“I would have gone with you to the end, into the very fires of Mordor.”

Is a perfect summary of all the main relationships in lotr.

The hobbits planning out Frodo’s escape before he’s even told them he’s leaving the shire. Following him every step of the way, no matter how treacherous the road becomes.

Boromir traveling across the country in search of an elf king he’s not even certain exists, just because his brother is having visions. To put his brothers mind at ease, and keep their kingdom safe.

The three hunters travel a nearly impossible distance, running days on end with next to no sleep, for two hobbits. For two dear friends.

Arwen gives up immortality to be with Aragorn. For the chance to end up in the mortal afterlife, she leaves all her people behind for her love.

Gimli leaves his home, his family, all of middle earth, to sail to the edge of the world with Legolas. With no idea of what lies in store for him there, he sails anyway.

Sam leaves the shire to sail across the sea to Frodo. Following him to the end, one last time. Unsure what awaits him besides seeing his friend once more- no matter what lies across those shores, being at Frodo’s side once more makes anything worth it.

The idea that love is going to the end, no matter what that may be or how certain it is, but journeying nonetheless. Holding tight to hope, and following those you love through it all. To the very fires of Mordor.
