yahhh!! alright, ordering these based on how well i like them (or how well i like them so far)!

first: the unfinished fish hat. i dont really know where i was going with this? i think it was practice for a magicarp hat that i didn't end up starting (didn't have the right yarn colors)

this one was going to be a pineapple hat (there was gonna be leaves on top) but there are soooo many ends that i need to weave in on the inside and it DIDNT EVEN FIT ME

my applin hat!! unfinished but im really excited about it (i dont have the right color of yarn for the eye thingies yet tho)

these are just basic ones i made for my family but im putting them here anyway :)

Krobus!! he may look simple, but the curl was sooo difficult for me for some reason!!

my first more complicated hat: Mimikyu! i have some issues with it (SO hard to wear) and it was before i learned how to hide the seam from where i started the row, but its very precious to me :3 (someone offered me like 70/80 bucks for it and i declined)

i got away with making this one for an english assignment (honestly no idea how) so its the only one that i wrote down the pattern i made for it! im thinking of fixing up the pattern (its written really badly) and putting it out into the world…

and saving my favorite for last, my dragon hat! she is the least photogenic of all my hats, but looks the coolest in real life. based on dragon boats from China or Taiwan!!

15/Something that your character’s different sized friends do that annoys them.

Barret often mocks Chandra based on her tiny stature and she has to protest that she does have her own strengths. he’ll always find the opportunity to taunt her, even when she proves herself to be of some help. like healing his wounds, having valuable knowledge on wildlife and nature, or the small amount of magic she can utilize to aid in fights.

Barret finds it annoying how Chandra will stay up all night and sleep all day. he had to help train herself to become less nocturnal. Barret used to tell her “don’t come in my bed or you’ll be sleeping on the ground.” at some point, Barret noticed Chandra shivering, and decided to let her sleep with him. after that it became normal for them to fall asleep in the same bed, since Barret realized since she was so small he barely noticed he was sharing the bed with somebody. he still acts like it’s an inconvenience even though he’s the usually the one who bothers the other when they’re sleeping, like snoring, throwing his limbs over her in his sleep, or sleep talking.

16/After meeting someone of a different size, how has your character's opinion on giants/tinies changed?

Chandra always thought of humans as barbaric. she was taught to avoid them at all costs, and for good reason. there exists a market for fairy dust, since it has magical properties. and the wings sell for even more, as long as they’re still intact/beautful enough.

when Barret finds Chandra for the first time, his first thought is how beautiful her wings are. he makes a deal with her, either he’d take her wings and sell them, or she’d join him so he could keep the magic all to himself.

of course, she chose to join him, because without her wings she’d lose her magic and die. she planned to just make her escape once the time was right, but she got to know him by staying at his side. by adventuring together, they opened up to each other, and learned things about each other’s respective species. Barret learned that fairies can think and feel and are more than just objects to buy and sell. Chandra learned that humans aren’t all terrible, and it is their own battle for survival that drives them to so bad things. she learns, deep down, Barrett doesn’t want to hurt her, and that he wants a friend he can depend on.

20/Random fun fact about your character

i can’t think of any little facts i haven’t already shared so i’ll give you some worldbuilding.

i’ve expressed that fairies are the product of the gods of the sun and moon. the children of the sun and the children of the moon used to live together in harmony. over time, fights started between the two groups, and in turn they segregated. in appearance, they have some differences. sun fairies are the more traditional idea of a fairy, with more dragonfly or butterfly-like wings and short thin antennae. while moon fairies have moth-like wings and feathery antennae. fairies of esther god will get offended if another species doesn’t understand the difference between them. Chandra never understood why they were seperated, but she followed the rules to not enter territory of the sun fairies. but after adventuring, she grew used to the not caring of what species your companions are.

1. her design is inspired by ball jointed dolls yeah!!! i'm generally interested in the layering of actual clothes and armor in different levels and thought it would be interesting to make her late stage design's armor almost more like an exoskeleton or shell than anything else, something she keeps on at all times, unadorned, in a desperate attempt to feel safe and appear authoritative and unscratched 2. VALID QUESTION!! meta answer is that i was listening to old video game creepypasta stuff while drawing her but the in-lore answer is that sometime post ln-finale she just stopped taking off her mask entirely and scratched a hole out over his mouth to eat and drink. her mental state wasn't. great. 3. Gotham has always been weird, so when the groundskeeper at the cemetery noticed the Wayne kid’s plot was disturbed, he just chalked it up to more of the same ol’. Alright, so ‘disturbed’ may be a tad too light of a word, but what’s an empty grave in the grand scheme of Gotham? God knows in a city like this one, they could use all the burial room they could get. He figured he’d just jot it down on the website and hope nobody noticed for a while.

Too bad he didn’t account for the 13 year old boy in Bristol who periodically checks the cemetery’s website when he’s feeling particularly lonely.

Plot Removed.

Tim Drake stared at the two words under the heading for Jason Todd’s plot number. Removed? What do they mean ‘removed’? They can’t just remove a plot? That’s a person down there! That’s Robin down there! You can’t Remove Robin!

Calm down. Deep breaths. Assess the situation.

Robin has been dead for 5 months and 14 days. There is no reason for a grave to be removed that early, especially one of a member of such an affluential family. Chances are likely it’s a simple clerical issue. He can call first thing in the morning and make them aware of the mistake. He can have it all fixed in 5 hours.

Just a phone call.

In 5 hours.

Tim hates talking on the phone almost as much as he hates waiting.

Well it won’t be the first time he’s snuck out to head to Gotham proper at 1am. It can’t even really be considered sneaking out if there’s no one home to catch you.

Buses stop running at 2, so he layers a couple sweaters under his coat and grabs his best running sneakers so he can comfortably make the trek back.

Just a quick trip to settle his nerves. Maybe get a few shots in if he spots Batman, but really he just wants to see with his own two eyes that things are okay and Jason can rest.

It’s 1:37 by the time he gets to the headstone reading ‘Here Lies Jason Todd’ and the gaping, muddy pit in front of it.

This- This doesn’t make any sense. This is not removal. This is destruction. Desecration. Somebody did this. Somebody-

Assess the situation.

A hole in the ground, approximately 1.5 feet in diameter.

Mud and grass flung outward but with little force.

Large chunks of earth turned over and shoved away.

No signs of tool marks or clean lines of entry into the dirt.

Dragging claw marks.

Staggering, shuffled pairs of foot prints in the mud.

A trail of dirt.

Something… Something large clawed its way out of the ground here. Something large and bipedal and- and humanoid.

Tim refuses to jump to any conclusions he can see all the facts laid in front of him. He’s going to cautiously follow the trail and simply hope to any god listening that he isn’t the world’s first line of defense against the zombie apocalypse.

He’s been walking for 23 minutes and there’s good news and undecided news. Good news: he’s closing in on the target and the trail isn’t taking him out of the way so his trip home won’t be prolonged. Undecided news: The potential Zombie Robin is heading directly for Wayne Manor.

As zombie apocalypse news, this is very bad. From Tim’s collected observational evidence, his not-so-professional opinion is that Batman, faced with a horror movie level zombie of his dead son, would not respond well, and would likely not fight back.

In Batman and Robin news? Tim’s unsure. If Jason is simply back? What could that mean for them? Batman can have his Robin. He wouldn’t have to continue nearly killing others and himself every night in his grief. Jason could-

No. Stop. Do not jump to conclusions.

Hope only brings heartbreak.

What would Batman do? Get close and see if the target is a threat.

Target is male. Mid-teens. Dark hair. Pale skin. Leaning against surfaces as he walks. Appears injured and disoriented.

Minimal risk assessed. Approaching and attempting contact.

Target identity confirmed: Jason Todd.

“J-Jason?” It comes out as a croaked whisper. Jason shows no sign of acknowledgment.

Tim clears his throat, steps right in front of his path, and tries again.

“Jason. Jason, stop I want to help you.” Still nothing.

“Please, Jason. I can help, I promise I can help!”

Why isn’t this working?! Why can’t he just do something right for once?! He wants this to work, he wants to help Bruce, he wants to fix Batman, he wants to not be alone, he wants-

“Robin!”

Robin jerks to a stop.

Tim reached out his hand.

“Robin. Robin please, I’m sorry you’re going through this, it’s really scary, I’m really scared. But I just want to help you. Help you find Batman. Help you get home.”

Jason just stares at him. Of course he does. Of course it’s not going to work. Why did he even bother hoping he could help?

Hope only brings heartbreak.

His sight blurs as his eyes fill with tears and he starts to lower his outstretched hand.

His arm is slowed as a cold hand weakly grasps his own.

“Don’t… scared… Bat… help… Dad… help.”

A relieved sob tears out from Tim’s chest and he gathers himself together. He yanks his extra sweater off and gently pulls it over Jason’s cold shoulders. Jason lets Tim drag his arm over his shoulders to try and carry some of his weight.

“Okay, Robin. Yeah. Your dad will help us.”

Batman will solve everything once Tim gets Robin home.

Please tell me everything about your OCs!!! I see you post about them but can't find the proper intros (if they have them)

(Specifically thinking about lev, pon, dandelion, and hecate, but whoever's on your brain is great!)

AAAAHH I'm so excited you asked me this!! YAYYYYY!!! ok--this is going to be pretty long so I'm going to put it under a cut :3

I have two main settings for my characters: a kind of magical-realism type thing with magicians and dragons and whatnot, and a more classic fantasy setting that I've done a lot of really specific world building for. (don't get me wrong I have really specific worldbuilding for both of the settings ahaha) I'll put a bit of info about the world before the characters that go in it, but I'm gonna try to keep it brief! (I could go on for forever I heart worldbuilding)

These guys are fairly new, so their worldbuilding isn't set in stone yet. That being said, there is a few types of magic: magicians---humans who have magic genetically and can perform it with a familiar or a powerful magical object, magical creatures (like dragons, elves (more like gnomes or goblins than your typical pointy fantasy elf tho), werewolves, vampires, etc.) who don't need to use something else to do magic, and normal humans with no magic in them---they are immune to magic that could turn them into something else. Most people don't know about magic, because the magicians don't want modern-day witch trials. The characters are set in Generic High School in Generic Town Or City. There is a Generic Fantasy Cult that wants to figure out how to change werewolves, vampires, and dragons into normal humans.

Korbin Knight-

Korbin was originally my protagonist, so he is the character that a lot of plot events would follow (if I had any lmao). He is pretty quiet and reserved, preferring to fly under the radar and just finish high school. In his free time he likes to go to the library, and he reads so many books it's actually crazy. I think he would like the fantasy-romance genre a lot, and he would read pretty much any fiction. I want to say he would love Twilight, but I haven't read any of the books and only watched two of the movies. He isn't ambitious and doesn't have a plan for what to do after he graduates besides getting a job and moving out of his relatives house as soon as possible (I was trying to make him very cliche so he has dead parents-being cliche is the reason for the wacky name as well). Korbin doesn't know he is a magician until he meets his familiar (a raven named peanut) and is befriended by Erin, but it is basically a dream come true for him: he gets to be like the people in the books he reads, and he gets to be friends with someone who's really awesome. He ends up with big bird wings sometime because of reasons that I don't know yet (characters with wings are so cool, also for the cliche factor ehehe).

Erin Hunter-

Erin is a changeling---she was swapped with a human baby by her original dragon parents so they could be able to turn into accurate humans for species survival reasons. Her parents figured this out when she was in early elementary school, and decided to keep her and not look for their original kid. Since she is a changeling, she has a more powerful type of magic and can turn into an awesome dragon. Erin has pretty much always been the popular girl in her class, because she is really nice to people and likes having a lot of friends. Her best friend had always been her older brother Rowan, but when he suddenly went missing one day four-ish years before the main story, she became a bit more reserved and stopped being able to really connect with her friends at school (none of them knew about her magic and therefore couldn't be told the whole story). She stayed very kind and friendly, but now with a really intense anger and hatred for the cult that she (rightfully) thinks had something to do with her brother's disappearance. She is a high school senior, and she plans on going to school for fashion design after she takes a gap year to try to find out what really happened to her brother.

Hecate Smith-

Hecate would describe herself as very determined and too smart to be "burdened" by her peers. She is an only child of parents who are both magicians and also both work in the medical field, and she has been encouraged to go to medical school and become some sort of doctor as well. Hecate really likes this idea, but she is also really interested in magic. She somehow got her hands on some VERY ILLEGAL guides for necromancy and blood magic when she was in middle school, and has been experimenting on dead animals her familiar (a snake who I have not named yet) brings to her in an old graveyard near her house. She has yet to try anything on a person (and is mostly doing this stuff in a graveyard for the vibe and to make sure her parents don't catch her), but she has had some results on small animals. Hecate overall has good intentions, only doing sketchy illegal magic with the intent to help people eventually, but her lack of meaningful social connection and stuff makes her really easy to manipulate. This becomes a plot point later in the story, specifically with the cult, but I don't really know much other than that, since these OCs are my newest ones! She eventually becomes really good friends with Viktor.

Viktor Hawthorne-

Viktor got turned into a vampire when he was around 10 or 11, and his parents---full believers in the cult (I should really name it...)---gave the ok to move him into the manor where the cult people do generic cult things. Their goal is to eventually un-vampire him (he wants this too---he hates feeling like a monster), but so far nothing is working. His familiar is a white cat, and while he cant do normal human magic (magic done with a familiar) anymore and is discouraged from using the more powerful magic he got from getting vamped. He LOVES his cat. Viktor is sick of being unsuccessfully experimented on, so he has been trying to get in contact with his older sister, who had moved states a few years previously, and run away to go live with her. The graveyard where Hecate hangs out is near the manor where he lives, so they kept running into each other and became friends. He often finds himself with a lot of free time (at least before he meets the other three characters) and so he got really into knitting. He made a sweater for himself, and likes making people things---he also makes little hats and jackets for his cat. He has crazy low self esteem, but is actually the kind of person everyone seems to like immediately.

these two are a lot less developed but i still like them:

Andre-

Andre is Erin's human counterpart. He was raised by dragons so that they would be able to accurately turn into humans. He is kind of shy and quiet, but loves his dragon community and would do a lot for them if they were threatened.

Rook Penny-

Rook is a little elf-creature that lives with others of her species in some caves in the same mountain as Andre and the dragons. Despite being like 3 or 4 feet tall, she is a big presence in a room, very bold and loud, and goes and does quest things with Andre. The two of them are like that "excuse me he wanted no pickles" meme!

The next three are my oldest characters (I've been drawing them for at least 5 years, and thinking about them for longer). There are a lot less people in the world because of wizards: very rare people who learn how to use magic from the world/nature. When they die, the magic gets released back to where it came from, but that can only happen with really big global natural disasters (that end up killing a lot of people)(I'm calling them Big Catastrophes for this). People across the world aren't able to connect pretty much at all, but big boats are becoming more of a thing and people are starting to go other places and start maybe doing trade with other groups of people. magical creatures started appearing after wizards, but they don't have the same negative impacts as the wizards. These creatures range from "regular animal but with some magic or something" to "oh that's just a person with cool powers". If anything here doesn't make sense I WILL explain better, but this is basically it!

Dandelion-

Dandelion is VERY loyal to the people she cares about, and she tends to care easily. She was taken in by the few knights and guards of the castle when she was young to be trained in the king's effort to get more soldiers, but she quickly got out of it (she didn't like how structured it was and just physically left) and now just mostly does favors for a few of the townspeople, hunts for prey in the woods, and follows Lev around. She is a magical creature---a shapeshifter---and can be either a human or a mountain lion at any given time. This helps her get her way---you don't want to argue with a big cat with sharp teeth and claws. Dandelion used to live in the forest surrounding the small kingdom with her mother and three siblings, but they were attacked by a mysterious hunter one day and she doesn't know if any of her family made it out alive, and she also doesn't quite remember what happened as she was so young (but she knows that the arrow the hunter shot at her is the reason she has the scar/notch on her ear). the only reason she hasn't gone back to live in the forest or try to find out what happened to her family is Lev: they have been attached at the hip since she came to their community (he was the first one to find her) and they consider each other family. he and Pon (when they eventually meet) are the ones she would most readily go to the ends of the earth for.

Lev-

Lev is pretty bad at most physical activities and gets sick easily, but he has perfected the art of being really likeable. While Dandelion starts liking people easily, she doesn't seem too approachable and is a bit too intense and/or scary for a lot of people. Lev is really good at conversation (despite not talking much when he was younger due to not being able to hear well) and he is kind of "just a guy" and thus very approachable. He's scared of a lot of things (like horses) but is trying really hard to get over his fears. He is the son of the rulers of their small kingdom, but he isn't the first in line for the throne: that would be his older sister. Lev is happy about this, because he would much rather become some sort of adventurer than do government. He has been wanting to leave his home and learn what's out there for pretty much all of his life, and used to run away a lot. This actually led to him meeting Dandelion and them becoming friends. Lev and Dandelion do plan on venturing out into the forests when they are both old enough to not die, which is where I would start if I was writing this into a story! Them leaving doesn't end up going well: Lev gets trapped in some sort of magical underground realm that is the start of the next Big Catastrophe, and Dandelion doesn't know where he is or how to get him back. It all ends up ok though (but not after i make them suffer a bit hehe)

Pon-

Pon hasn't been around many people in their life so far. They were created by the most recent wizard out of his shadow for the purpose of fighting death when it comes for him and thus making him immortal and skipping the Big Catastrophe that would be caused by his magic re-entering the world. this did not work, but Pon was somehow left alive. They lived with the dead wizard's wife in their cabin, and she taught them about botany and medicinal plants (which started their love of tea), and helped them learn how to read. She eventually died as well, and Pon lived on their own until Dandelion stumbled across their house while looking for Lev and got them to help. Pon is not good at making conversation (they don't have much practice) but they love to learn and understand things and have knowledge that they weren't allowed to have when the wizard was alive. the thing that this doesn't fully apply to is themself. Pon doesn't actually know what they can do/what powers they have from being a magical shadow person, but they still feel immense guilt in not being good enough and "letting" the wizard and the lady die, and they feel like finding out they can do more things now would be undeserved. Pon has always been able to become intangible though which is cool. Pon eventually becomes a doctor after traveling to a (slightly) larger country with Lev and Dandelion and getting through the Big Catastrophe.

-Tubbo is partially blind in both eyes after his execution. His vision is heavily reduced and very blurry in any part he can actually see. He's also partially deaf. He uses glasses and a walking stick to get about. During his presidency he tries to obscure the fact that he's blind by wearing a partial mask and having Tommy and later Ranboo or Quackity by his side to help prevent him from tripping. Tommy generally lingers very close to him and talks quite loudly, which Tubbo appreciates because it means that he can see/hear Tommy much better than anyone else

-Hannah is a transfem human who is sensitive to the health of the nature around her. She dresses up as a fairy partially as a gender euphoria thing, which is why she fought so hard for the elytra. She's also a lesbian and one of the more confident people in their sexuality on the server, though she doesn't verbalize it often.

-Tommy is transfeminine and nonbinary. They used their very overblown comedic persona and idolize people like Jschlatt because they never felt any connection to her own masculinity and felt wrong for it. They start figuring out their gender after Manberg and fully accept themselves after Bedrock Bros. She's also platoniromantic, meaning her platonic and romantic feelings are kind of twisted together, and asexual. She wants to marry Tubbo. They have bad joint pain and stiffness as well as audio processing issues. They have delusions that can make talking to certain people difficult

-Eret is blind

-Puffy is kind of a woman but really likes fucking with her gender. She tends to create new personas when she does this. She also enjoys being contradictory it gives her gender euphoria. Most of the time she uses she/her and masculine titles (dad, papa, sir, mr, etc) and will dress in a range from masculine to feminine, but sometimes she'll do full drag in a variety of combinations of gender traits because she needs a change. Her feelings for Badboyhalo are gay but so are her feelings for Niki. She's also fat btw that's not a queer hc but it is important to me

-Schlatt has chronic pain and fatigue caused by a heart condition. He usually uses a cane and frequently has to lie down for periods of time between physical activities. He does neither in Manberg and exacerbates his illness with smoking, drinking, and forcing himself to walk around and stand for all hours of the day.

-Nihachu has persisting pain in her shoulder from when she was attacked leaving Manberg. Trauma and intense isolation exacerbated some mental stuff she already had. She experiences auditory hallucinations sometimes, can experience delusions, and has difficulty speaking in a way people around her can fully understand. She's probably bisexual but considers herself a lesbian

-Kind of a mental health headcanon but Technoblade does not hear voices in the sense of a mental health issue. He's sworn himself to service of the God of death (blood) and she just whispers at him sometimes.

“Grandmother is visiting,” Damian suddenly said with no warning and with his usual not-quite demanding tone. 

“Who?” Tim wasn’t the only one to startle, seeing as Bruce had practically froze, a downturn to his lips in a silent show of confusion. 

Damian scowled. “Are you deaf Drake? Grandmother is coming to Gotham to, quote, make sure I am being properly cared for.” None of them had known that Ras was with anyone actually. At least Tim was pretty sure that would have been in the files. 

“Oh?” Dick didn’t quite crouch to Damian’s height but it was a near thing. “She-” “He,” Damian corrected, interrupting him. They all exchanged a glance before Dick continued. 

“Is he coming to the Manor or…” 

Damian scoffed again, a tiny bit of a flush against his face. “No, Grandmother will most likely be staying with Akhi-”
