Ever wondered why a well-crafted twist is crucial in a story? It's like the element of surprise that keeps you engaged, challenges your expectations, and ultimately makes the narrative memorable. A great twist is the heart of intrigue in storytelling. Here are some you can use!

The Sentient Object: Twist: An ordinary object, like a book, a mirror, or a piece of jewelry, is revealed to be sentient and possesses its own consciousness. It becomes a key player in the story, guiding or manipulating the characters.

The Collective Memory: Twist: A group of characters, seemingly unrelated, share a mysterious collective memory or dream that connects them in unexpected ways. They must work together to decipher the meaning behind these shared experiences.

The Language of Magic: Twist: Magic in your world is governed by a unique language or code. As the story unfolds, characters discover that the language itself is sentient and can influence events and outcomes.

The Eldritch Revelation: Twist: Characters stumble upon ancient texts or artifacts that contain forbidden knowledge about cosmic horrors or eldritch beings. The revelation of this knowledge threatens their sanity and forces them to confront incomprehensible entities.

The Mythical Betrayal: Twist: A character believed to be a mythical hero or savior turns out to be the story's true villain, deceiving everyone around them. The actual hero must rise from obscurity to confront this unexpected antagonist.

The Reverse Time Travel: Twist: Instead of traveling to the past or future, characters unwittingly bring historical or future figures into their present. They must adapt to the challenges and paradoxes this brings, all while trying to return these displaced individuals.

ahh thank you!! it means a lot <:)

as for the tipss, im gonna say what i said innn maybe the 2-3 other asks about advice on art and stuff and tell you that im not good at all at giving tips lol. but! i do know a bit on my own process of making my stuff at least.

for both i say to follow an archetype or a personality type and follow that up with aspects and pieces of the character that fit into said archetype but making them distinct. like how rose was brooding, john was nerdy, and so on and so on. stylewise i always simplify things a lot though, trying to keep things that can be seem as memorable. (this is the part where im runnining out of things to say, bear with me)

one way i do make distinctions between the two was that trolls are a LOT more exaggerated than humans. you can see on how vriska is supposed to be a stereotypical mean girl, but taken to the level where shes HURTING hurting people, and even killing trolls to feed off her lusus, and how terezi is a literal embodiment of blind justice. so from personality to design theres always something you could try to make stand out a bit more (say, a cowardly troll turned into a complete paranoid shut-in) while still keeping those first points from the first paragraph about sticking to a theme and prioritizing key aspects about your character

and one more thing that i might be able to add is to just, experiment a lot? there are boundaries to stuff of course, and its great to be reminded of those and on how you can work your magic within them to make something really good that, without them, would kind of fall flat. but i moreso mean in the sense of like, a lot of "weird" stuff people like to stick to a lot, at least when making trolls in specific. your goldblood doesnt need psiionics, your purpleblood doesnt need to be a juggalo. but other characters can! or even have something completely different. and its fun to think of stuff like that and how you can work it out.

actually, last thing, receiving critiques on stuff is also really, really good, specially when you talk to people that know their stuff. on the MSPFA server there is a channel for getting the hussie style (that includes designing fankids and fantrolls) just right and i comment on that area from time to time, giving personal advice that can maybe work a bit better than just general stuff like this. if youre not in there (or theres someone else reading this who isnt there) youre always free to join and ask for critique on your stuff there!

I NEED to reach my ugw. I'm doing SO good so far, tho! I haven't been eating at all except for when I'm forced to eat dinner. But if I don't lose more weight soon, I'm afraid I will lose my progress :( My HW was 156 lbs. I am now 140 lbs, and my ugw is 105 lbs. But I'm finding it difficult to lose more weight. Does anyone ever think of a Youtuber/modern AU ??? Because I do ?? The Party having a shared youtube channel for their DnD that went into a hiatus for a long time for varius raison. They all have their own account were they talk about different things.

Nancy do tipss for studying efficiently with relaxing song and then randomly there's some shooting video popping up.

Jonathan has an instagram but otherwise no youtube channel. He appears in video of others peoples sometimes.

Steve and Robbin didn't have any channel on either Twitch or Youtube but started doing live and posting best of of their live. I see them a bit like Wankil. They also have a second channel were they post video and shorts of The Party shenanigans that went viral.

Joyce also has a channel, she's a Mama Tuber, like those channel of Dads teaching things to people or that one grandma on twitch who does Minecraft ?But Joyce does idk DIY and hardware.

Same things with Hellfire but they have a bigger following and other active social media account. And of course The Corroded Coffin official account. Also Eddie is feral on Twitter etc

All of them doing random video like Amixem does (or Mr. Beast ? Idk I watch french youtube because its the superior shit)

Did I tell you the Upside Down is still happening ? yeah.

They started recording things the day after Will disapeared (it reassured their parents in a way) and somehow the videos got out on an account called Stranger Things and it went VIRAL, everyone thinks it's CGI. Some elements never got out like how Barbara died, the whole Lab things, names etc ;people thinks they just got inspired of doing this to cope or something with the disapearance of their friends and so called-death. The government didn't do anything because yk hiden in plain sight is better than hiding. If people thinks it's CGI ... Why bother? They still gave NDA left and right. They don't know who started the account but they all share it. It's not really thrilling to have the whole world watching their trauma thinking it's fake but it's help to cope to share it.

Internet debating on their lovelife because it's funny ? Them reacting to fanfic. Steve and Eddie interacting with video with so much tension that their viewers eat up like starving animal. Idk

get some toys or other things to practice hunting

try learning to mimic or understand the yautja language

learn about the practices of the yautja that you can safely recreate in some way
