Oh the joy of being in a position to say “only” 16k when referring to my long run! It still wasn’t easy, but I plodded on regardless, and despite the first 7k being hard, I knew I would keep going. I sort of found my grove about then, and get to parkrun a few minutes early. I was stopped for a few minutes and my old bones started to seize up! It took a few minutes to work the kinks out once we got going again. But once we did! I was well chuffed. I found the comfortably uncomfortable pace that I’ve been looking for and stuck with it. I managed my first sub 30 parkrun in absolutely YONKS! Happy happy me!

Started working on the requirements for the AKC Fit Dog Bronze title! Gotta keep a record for 8 weeks of walking at least 75mins per week. This plus doing structured fitness exercises and sprint work is Kávé’s workout plan to get some faster times in FastCAT. Our next trial is March and I’d LOVE to get him doing solid 7s but we’ll see. His fastest is 7.8 but when I watch the videos I swear he’s slowing up in places. I’m hoping actually focusing on fitness and just more experience with FastCAT will put him in at least top 5 Mudis. Of course top 3 and getting invited to the invitational is ultimate goals but as few trials as we have every year, I’d be pleased with top 5!

I said yesterday I'd done this before, got used to running long distances. And I have. I've also done this before and been much heavier than I am now. I was about 220lb when I ran my first marathon. That's about sixty pounds heavier than I am now. Something to keep in mind when I'm thinking about how tough this is. It's all relative.
Coach's plan had me down for ten or twelve kilometres this morning. I was nervous of the distance. I haven't run as much as 10k since a race I did in September. I really wanted to do the 12k, especially as I ran 6k last week instead of ten. I figured that if I'd run the ten, Coach would have had me on twelve this week, no question. I really don't want to fall befind.

There was a 9am run planned with some club mates, the Sunday social, after which we go for a coffee. I decided that I'd go out at 8.20am, run 6k, then go to the meeting point to do our twenty minutes out and back, which would make it up to twelve. It worked like a charm.
I was okay for a k or two, then tired around the 4k mark, when I was wondering how I'd cope with meeting the others and pretty much starting from scratch, when they were all fresh. It was fine! I couldn't believe it. I was fully warmed up so it felt, well, I hesitate to say great, but it fely okay. I chatted the whole time with one of the other girls and before I knew it, we'd done twenty minutes out, and it was time to turn back.
I sent Coach my run report for the week. I feel as if my pacing is a mess, really all over the place, but on the whole it's been a great running week for me. Nearly 37k covered. The most in quite a while. That's about twenty-three miles for the imperial nightmares out there 😆
Food's been okay too, even with a meal out on Friday night. Weigh in will be interesting in the morning. Will my body do it's usual, and flip my the bird on a Monday morning? We shall see. Whatever it does, I KNOW my running is getting better because I'm eating more healthily and getting a little lighter each week.

The officer leans close, jabbing a finger into Steve’s chest. “You’re damn lucky it ain’t ten years ago or one state over,” he growls. “You could be looking at a felony charge, serving 15 to life. We didn’t stand for this kind of thing in Hawkins when I joined the force.”
Steve just folds his arms and gives the officer a bored look. “Okay,” he says. “Good talk. Can I see my boyfriend now?”
The officer sneers, but he steps aside to let Steve through. They’ve got Eddie cuffed to the hospital bed with another gun-toting guard in the corner. 
“Jesus christ,” snaps Steve. “He’s not gonna escape, he can’t even walk right now. Why don’t you clear out and give us a little privacy, huh?”
“Sorry,” says the guard, not sounding all that sorry. “It’s for his own protection.”
Fuck. He’s gonna have to hope Eddie can follow his lead. All that practice pretending to be a wizard or whatever has to be good for something, right?
He perches on the side of Eddie’s bed and takes his hand. He can do this. “Hey, gorgeous. How’re you feeling?” 
“Uh,” says Eddie, eyebrows doing something hilarious. “Steve?”

“Sorry to break the bad news, then. Hop’s alive, and he—uh, he knows everything.” Steve tries to communicate the scope of everything by kind of tilting his head back and forth. “He’s been…helping.”
“Huh. No shit,” says Eddie. Steve can’t tell whether or not he’s getting it. To be fair, there’s a lot to get. “Okay, gallant knight errant of mine, any news on whether or not I’m getting sprung from this charmingly appointed dungeon?”
“We’re…Hopper’s working on it. That’s why I’m. Y’know. Here. To tell you that they know about us.” 
“Cool, right, understood.” Eddie closes his eyes, leaning back on his pillow. It’s so strange to see him in nothing but a hospital gown against white sheets. He looks like a wrung-out dishtowel. 
There’s a commotion from outside, raised voices saying something like you let him what and haven’t even interrogated the Munson kid yet and not a legal status you fuckin—
“Time’s up, sweetheart,” says Eddie, mouth quirking up into the ghost of a smile. “Anything else you wanna say before they decide to upgrade my security?”
“Uh,” says Steve. He’d mostly been focusing on getting the basics of Eddie’s alibi across in a convincing way, and he can’t remember if there were any other details Eddie should know. 
He hears the door slam open behind him, and panics. “Love you, bye,” he says, and ducks in to brush a quick kiss across Eddie’s chapped lips. The last thing he sees as he’s hauled bodily out of the room by a pissed-off detective is Eddie with his eyes gone enormous and shocked, lifting his uncuffed hand to his mouth, looking and looking at Steve like something is always going to be different from now on, forever.

I’m coming back from a pretty big-for-me injury. I injured my lower back in February 2021. The pain first started with swimming. Then it went away after a few weeks. I thought I’d just thrown my back out from too much stress. Happy Leap Year + Happy Year of The Dragon + Happy Birthday Hiccup!!! 🎉✨
I know this is not confirmed on the movies or anything, but I guess it's the closest I can get to Hiccup's birthday so I'll take it.
I'll also take the chance to talk a lil about my feelings below, pardon meee
I've been liking httyd since it first came out, I remember being a kid and not understanding half what what's going on with the movie but there where dragons so I couldn't give a shit. I don't remeber my first time watching httyd2 but I fucking wish I did, the only one I remember watching for the first time is httyd3 cuz I went to the cinema and cried a fucking toooon, also got the only official merch I had and it's a pop corn bowl hell yeah.
Anyways, even when I have loved it my whole life, there have only been few times I've got hyperfixated on it, I think this is like the fourth/fifth time or smth, but it's the first time making content and posting :) and I didn't imagine there would be people out there who could care about it. I'm here to thank all that people, all of you thank you for liking my stuff and for reblogging with all that funny and caring tags, I read all of them, sometimes take some pictures of them bc of how much of an impact they made me feel, I wish there were a easy way to answer to them :') Httyd means a lot to me and I genuinely think it has formed some of me as a person through the years.
