Day 83
I need bigger underwear.
The bean has been visibly growing for a while now. Over the last few weeks or so, it got incredibly sensitive. Nothing compares to the feeling of fabric being pulled over it, when it's a bit far out of it's little house.
I would like to say "No-one prepared me for this!" but it's just an impossible thing to actually explain how it feels.
You know when your leg falls asleep and it get all tingly? Imagine that but downsized. Same amount of tingles, smaller space. And make it faster. All this on a surface area of a few millimetres.
I don't know if anyone will read this in their preparation for their transition. But if they are, they should know that it's nothing like you expected. It's your expectations made into a smoothie with a bit of chaos in there. It's amazing but you're not quite sure if your even able to taste any of the original ingredients.
It's also not a constant change. Sometimes you notice three different things in one day, then nothing exciting for a month. And sometimes people around you will notice things before you do. It's weird. But not in a bad way.
btw my body is still shivering because I accidentally touched the bean with my panties as I was putting them on 🥲 Feeling how different my body is nice, but not like that... I could do without brutal overstimulation.
an appropriate meme:

No one warns trans boys about anything fr. Voice dropping? Hurts like hell and you sound dorky (affectionate and passes quickly dw). Leg hair in skinny jeans makes your legs feel numb after a while. Bottom growth too big so you have to choose which side of the seam it goes on, but so small itll break rank and shoot pain so bad youll see god into your stomach everytime you step wrong (also passes and is not permanent. And funny.)
Trans men and transmascs please share the things no one warned you about transitioning is so sexy and fun

Introducing: The Guide to Bottom Growth
Quick warning as I will be using anatomical terms, and I will include anatomical diagrams.
What is bottom growth and what does it look like?
Bottom growth is a common term for the enlarged clitoris, after taking T.
When you take testosterone, it induces growth in the clitoris. The growth can be pretty significant. When it grows, it comes to resemble a cis penis, on a smaller scale. It has a shaft, retractable foreskin, and head.
The clitoris and the penis- how are they related?
So, when a fetus is growing, they all start out female. The clitoris is the same bit as the glans or "head" of a cis man's penis. The growth into a penis is influenced by testosterone.
Can I prevent bottom growth?
No. Whether it grows a lot or a little is dependant on genes and your dosage, but it will happen.
It is also irreversible. While some have claimed that it has shrunken after stopping T, this is unusual and may be dependant on your genes.
What are some other names for bottom growth?
This is all up to you, based on your personal preference. Some people stick to calling it their clit or clitoris, some call it a T-Dick, some call it their bottom growth and some refer to it as a cis man would, using terms like dick, cock, penis, etc.
How big does it get?
It varies, just like with penis size. On average, most people end up with around 1-2 inches. Some people can end up with more than 3 inches! Like cis penises, they get bigger when aroused.
Can I stand and pee from it?
No. Your bottom growth is located above the urethra. While some people have enough growth to guide the flow of urine along the bottom of the shaft, this is highly dependant on your personal anatomy and can be really messy!
A surgery like *metoidioplasty can be preformed in conjunction with a urethral lengthening, which would then allow you to stand to pee using your bottom growth.
*Metoidioplasty, or meta, is a type of bottom surgery that releases the bottom growth from the labia minora. It is typically preformed with urethral lengthening, scrotoplasty and a vaginectomy. However, not everyone chooses to have each of these surgeries.

Tumblr media
Can I use it for sex?
Yes. You can preform oral sex on bottom growth, just like with a cis penis. You can use toys on it- vibrators, fleshlights, strokers, etc. Whatever works for you.
Can I use it for penatrative sex?
Short answer: yes. If you have enough growth, you may be able to penetrate a vagina. However, to my knowledge, anal penetration is not possible with just bottom growth.
Do I need to clean it?
Yes. This can be done easily by pulling the foreskin back and cleaning any buildup out with a wet q-tip. This area may be sensitive- clean at your own pace.

As always please feel free to ask questions, I will answer to the best of my ability.

The other day, my husband pleasured me for the first time in ages since I've started T. (Serious health issues on his part; no hating, please!)
My bottom growth is a lot bigger now, and it was awesome having him touch me after that change! And he told me it was hot that I was kind of growing a dick now lol
It was just a really big dose of euphoria and affirmation that I wasn't expecting.

It's so wild to me that like. t e r f s position themselves as being the ones to support detransitioners while also talking about them and their bodies in the most vile way. And while I understand that transition regret is real and very very hard to deal with and maybe seeking out people who validate the way you feel about your body feels good in the moment, I truely truely do not think it is a healthy way to cope with it. And obviously blaming the trans community is not a great way to go about it either lol.
I also think, we as a community are honestly also doing detransitioners a disservice by not acknowledging the ways that, doctors do pressure and expect trans people to conform to a certain transition path and even intentionally misinform you to get you to make your choices differently. This is how and why they are still performing unnecessary surgeries on intersex children. They want our bodies to conform as closely to one binary sex as possible and that means you have to do a lot of research about every single transition decision you make and can't rely on only doctor's information. It sucks and it's disgusting that they don't care about actually helping people be comfortable, only about making them conform but it's something you really have to keep in mind. No one is pressured into a transition, I'm starting to feel they'd rather we die than transition. But yes, once you are transitioning there are pressures to do it a certain way.
I'm sorry to everyone who regrets a decision they were misinformed about, that they were pressured into or otherwise didn't have full agency over. That just makes it so much harder to deal with the regret and i really can't give advice on it, except that, if you ever felt pressured into any decisions about your body, you should not be fighting against the availability of transition care but also join our fight for informed consent in medical care.
Informed consent is not yet a standard in any treatment but it really really needs to be. And there need to be consequences for doctors who intentionally misinform or don't inform patients. The insurance should not be allowed to demand one kind of treatment to cover another, especially when it's not a necessary treatment. The stories of medical malpractice you hear when talking to people are absolutely unhinged and abhorrent and put lives at risk.
The solution to absolutely none of them is less autonomy and less agency.
Originally I was gonna make this a body neutrality post, validating the right of all people to feel however they do about their bodies and their decisions about their bodies but arguing against this disgusting narrative of brokenness and being "ruined" that is spread to trans and detrans people but i guess I got side tracked. Anyways. You can find happiness in your body again no matter what you've been through, even when it's hard. I hope you find ways to enjoy yourself and your body in the time you have here. Other people can make it harder but it's still possible and you can still do it.

Day 108
I kinda missed the 100, but whatever. The stuff happens whenever it wants to anyways. Like how my skin got way worse over night around day 96. That wasn't the only thing where I felt the hormones hitting... My brain seems to get less blood, because my nether regions need it to have a party. The body of teenage boy I guess.
For anyone who's planning to do testo: there will be a point at which you're going to search forums on how to clean your bottom growth. Don't worry, there's enough people who already asked and also enough answers. Still, it's weird. It's not really painfull just an intense weird feeling. But you also have to be thorough because the stuff is growing and has a little hat. It's just way weirder than I expected.
I'm still waiting for the day when I can finally show of my little mustache hairs. Right now there's not much, but I know it's more!
I also got a very good present: a plushie!!! It's the plushie dreadfuls dysphoria plushie and I love it! It's now my transition mascot. Well, the second one. The more, the merrier!

If Lucy goes on T do you think Maggie and Alex would accept all of the changes that would come with it, or only certain aspects of it? Like for example they would be ok with their voice deepening but not with facial hair/musky body odour/bottom growth etc., or vice versa? And would one of them be more accepting of certain things than the other? And which changes would Lucy look most forward to?
I don’t think they have issues with Lucy’s changes on T, and they certainly accept all of them (especially because what does not accepting them even look like? Alex and Maggie won’t try to control Leon’s decisions—those are 100% his to make, especially when it comes to his body. They could break up or change the nature of their relationships if he goes on T, but I don’t headcanon that).
(An aside: sex is a related topic but any boundaries around that are about gender and sexuality, not physical changes on T.)
There are things that they found attractive in Lucy that change with T, like her voice. But for them, they find that the new change is also attractive (and some things that they don't expect to find attractive end up being so on Lucy/Leon bc it's her/him), or that even if a certain change isn’t particularly attractive, there are other changes that are. Leon being more comfortable/happy and them getting to be a part of that is what’s most important to them, and their love doesn’t go away. (Also, some changes revert or somewhat revert for a Leon that goes off of T eventually.) Their attraction is more about who Lucy/Leon is as a person.
I think with Maggie’s experience dating within the queer community and dating aliens, it's easier for her to adapt and feel confident that she'll stay attracted to Lucy. Alex is a little more worried about how she'll feel, but she reads about the experiences of other people in relationships with genderfluid people and talks about it with Lucy and Maggie. And kinda like I alluded to in the previous ask, she realizes that an amazing part of loving people is loving and supporting them while they change and grow into themselves, which makes this seem less scary. And they've all been uncertain about relationship things at some point—entering a polyamorous relationship and not knowing how they'd handle dating and their feelings was kinda scary! But they talked about things and were intentional with their actions and things ended up fine for them. And tbh as far as their specific feelings about specific changes on T, I don't really have many headcanons? It's mostly just the broad thoughts I outlined above, since I'm flexible with headcanons.
Voice is a big change Leon looks forward to. I know fat redistribution is often a big one, but it's actually height and build that bother Leon more, which doesn't change much for him on T. I don't think Leon necessarily stays on T long enough to develop a lot of facial or body hair, but he likes what he gets, and likes the ritual of shaving.

someone on reddit was getting sooo mad about the term bottom growth the other day and was acting like we are committing this great offense because apparently bottom can only mean ass and growth can only mean tumor and no word has multiple meanings in different contexts ever. it was actually so funny like of all things to be pissy about

So I want to take testosterone and have all of the side effects aside from bottom growth. It’s not like I’m disgusted by it, I’m simply just fine with what I have down there. Is there any sort of way that this would be possible?
