“Fuck!” You shout slamming the hood of your car down. On your way through the countryside on a road trip, your car decided to break down. You’re in a foreign country, the sun is setting, and having no one to help leaves you feeling overwhelmed and defeated. You sit back in your car and begin to cry. In your mind driving solo across Europe was going to be a piece of cake, yet here you are because you tried to save money and got a piece of shit car.
The sound of a semi-truck braking gets your attention as you look into your rear-view mirror to see a blue truck had pulled off and stopped behind you. In a hurry you pull down your visor to check yourself as you wipe tears away and try to relax your face. You close it just in time to see a massive man jump out of the cab of the semi and walk in your direction. A wave of fear rushed over you as you realized you have no items for self-defense on you.
A knock on the driver’s side window, and the tall trucker steps back and stares at you with piercing blue eyes. Taking a deep breath, you open the car door and step out. His eyes look you up and down.
“Are you stranded?” His voice is smooth with a thick Austrian accent.
“Yes, I am.” Your voice cracks from the nervousness you’re feeling. He is built like a tank and like, really fucking tall.
He gives you a small nod before extending his hand to you, “I’m König.”
“Y/n,” you grab his hand and shake it. His hand is massive and swallows yours.
“You’re not from here, are you?” He gives you a warm smile trying to be nice.
“I’m not…”
“Do you have anyone here you can call?” The question seems innocent enough.
“No, I don’t. My phone has no signal either.”
“Hm,” König looks at your car and then to you once more. “Well, I can’t possibly leave you here alone, especially with it getting dark... where were you heading?”
“I was heading to the German border.”
“Hm, that’s a six-hour drive Maus.”
“It’s okay if you can’t-”
“I can, I’m heading that way. I’ll drive you as close as I can get and help you get set up with a ride in.” He gives you such a genuinely warm smile that you feel your guard beginning to drop.
“I- I really appreciate that, König.” You turn to go to your car and open the back seat to grab two small suitcases out.
“I’ll grab those for you Fräulein.” König walks behind you and gently reaches past you to grab your bags. The sweet vanilla body lotion you’re wearing catches his attention and he tries to take a deep breath as discreetly as he possibly can.
You back away, slightly bumping him. “Oh, sorry. Thank you so much König. You’re like a God send.”
He smiles back at you while holding your bags and closing the car door, “Is this all there is?”
“Yes, that’s it.” You two begin to walk towards the semi-truck as you look around the farm land.
Once to the truck König opens the door for you and helps you climb into the cab, his hand grazing your butt seemed innocent enough so you brush it off. It was most definitely not innocent. He is simply testing your boundaries and seeing how you’d react.
You set you bag down on the floor as König walked around to the driver’s side. He walks to the back of the cab and puts your bags on his small bed back there. He finally sits in the driver seat and looks over at you.
“Are you ready to go?” He asks in a gentle voice.
“Yeah,” you look out at the car that broke down on you feeling slightly sad.
“Don’t worry about that car,” König says, noticing your sad gaze. “I will help you out, I promise. I can’t leave a young woman stranded.” His smile is so warm and genuine, but the look in his eyes shows he has different motives with you.
As he pulled back onto the road König found himself checking you out. His eyes are drawn to the curve of your breast in your tight shirt and the way your thighs look as you sit down in the seat. He was going to have fun with you.
“So, where are you originally from?” He asks, keeping his eyes straight ahead.
You answer and explain how you have always wanted to visit Europe so on impulse you decided to come.
“A bit far from home aren’t you Maus?” He asks with a sly smile on his lips. “Do you even have any friends or contacts in any of these countries?”
“No, I don’t.” You shake your head not realizing these are questions you shouldn’t be answering truthfully.
“That’s a shame, you could get hurt out here. Good thing I came across you and not some… pervert.” He turns his gaze from the road to you and looks at how your breasts bounce with every bump he hits. He couldn’t wait to see what they actually look like, but in his head, he is running through every possibility.
“Yeah…thank you so much for all of your help. Really. I was about to give up and go back home.” You giggle softly.
Your giggle was so genuine and soft. Your lips look tender and kissable. He wanted to see how your lips look wrapped around his cock or sucking on his full nut sack.
“That would have been a shame, it’s good to explore. See the world and expand your horizon.” He says it so casually as if he isn’t thinking of shoving your head down on his dick and making you give him road head. I wonder if she does anal…
You both drive while having small talk. Innocent topics like your hobbies, home life, any little question he can drop to get more information out of you. The sun was now completely set and König noticed your eyes becoming tired as the drive went on.
“If you need to rest, there’s a small bed in the back. It’s not much, but if I can sleep on it, you’ll do just fine.” There’s a friendly chuckle in his tone as his eyes look over at you. Watching as you turn in the seat and look into the dark tiny cab with the bed. His eyes trailing up and down your legs before going back up to your eyes.
“Oh,” you couldn’t explain this feeling in your gut. It was as if it were screaming at you, telling you no and that you should stay awake. You really shouldn’t even be in this truck. Shoving those feelings to the side and excusing them as anxiety, you look back at König.
“Don’t worry, y/n, I don’t bite.” König says with a big smile revealing his sharp K9s. “You’ll be safe with me.”
You nod your head as you begin to stand and walk to the back, it was dark so you used your hands to guide you back there. It was simple since it’s a small space. Taking your bags off the bed and setting them on the floor, you lay down and rest your head on the pillow. Grabbing the thin blue blanket on the bed to cover yourself, you feel so happy to be in a bed, even if its this tiny.
König turns his head slightly to look back at you. It has been ten minutes so he wanted to know if you were asleep or not.
“You settled in alright back there?” He waits to see if he hears your voice.
“No…” Your voice meek as if you feel bad you can’t fall asleep.
“Would you like a sleeping pill Maus?” Please say yes, please say yes, please say yes… “My doctor gave them to me to help with the uncomfortable sleeping situation.” He chuckles softly. That was a bold face lie, he got them from his handy dandy street dealer for a moment like this.
You know it isn’t smart to take medication from others, especially prescribed and from a stranger. You hesitate for a moment trying to think of your answer.
“Here,” he opens up a small pill organizer with one hand and holds them out for you to grab. His eyes are straight ahead still on the road.
You slowly get up and grab one, “Thank you.”
“You can take a sip of my water. I promise I have no gross germs.” He laughs, his laughs so warm and welcoming.
You take the sleeping pill and thank him again. Returning to the tiny bed in the back of the cab you try to get as comfortable as you can. You keep your eyes open for a while, looking at the little bits of König and the road you can see from the angle. By the time I wake up we should be close to the German border, and I’ll be able to continue on my way. This is just for a few hours…just…a few…more…
Twenty minutes pass as König continues to drive. There is a truck stop coming up where he can refill and where he’d usually rest. He looks over his shoulder at you again, “You still awake?” He asks rather loudly.
No response.
“Are you asleep?” He asks again at the same loudness, no response. “Perfect.”
König pulls into the truck stop as usual. He pulls up to the gas station and gets out of the semi to refill the tank and make sure all his wheels are in good condition. He buys you a drink and something to eat when you wake up from the concession area inside before you pay. He grabbed himself another water and a snack as well. Casually he got back to the truck and drove it around back to the parking lot where truckers can park and sleep for the night. He took his time setting up the window covers and making sure the doors were locked and safe. Standing in the now total darkness of the cab, he looks in your direction.
“Hey,” he said, lightly shaking your leg to see if you would wake up. You didn’t. Good.
He pulls his cell phone out of his pocket and pulls the blanket off of you. His hand caresses the curve of your waist, hip, and ass slowly taking his time to enjoy the way the curves feel. His hand wrapping around your ass and squeezing.
He turns on the light from his phone and illuminates the small cabin. He crouches down beside you and gently pushes your body back so you’re lying on your back now. His hand gently runs under your shirt and caresses the soft skin of your abdomen. His hand reaching up and cupping your breast over your bra. He lets out a soft sigh as he withdraws his hand.
“You’re so beautiful Maus, so beautiful…” He says as he slowly begins to pull your pants down. He opens the photo app on his phone and begins to take photos of your exposed body, only your panties and bra to cover you.
As he continues to shine a light on you, he pulls your bra down and records himself gently shaking your breast and caressing your nipples until they harden. He leans in and begins to suck on each nipple, making sure it’s all on camera. With his free hand he rubs the erection that is growing in his pants.
Pausing the recording he stands and undoes his belt buckle and then his pants, pulling them down to around his ankles. He releases his aching cock, a bead of precum dripping from the pinkish red tip. He picks back up the phone and points the camera back at you as he jerks off over your body.
His loud pants being picked up on the camera as he stops occasionally to rub your pussy through the fabric of your underwear, feeling a wet spot begin to form, or play with your breast before continuing to pump his fist on his cock.
You remain asleep, completely unaware of what was going on as König kneeled into the bed a little and scooped your drool up with the head of his cock, gently rubbing his tip over your soft lips. He spread your drool around the tip of his cock and used it as a lube for himself. He slapped your lips with his cock twice before gently trying to push it inside of your mouth. He moved his hand from around his cock to your jaw to hold it open as he slid himself in. His breathing shakes as he feels the wet heat of your mouth.
He slowly bucks his hips forward into you as he inches his cock in your mouth little by little. “Ja, that’s my good little Hure.” He moans out, his free hand traveling to your breast and squeezing your breast.
“Oh fuck,” König quickly moves his hand back to his cock as he begins to cum. He pulls out slightly so he can cum on your lips and in your mouth. His breathing heavy and he moans your name. Releasing his full balls completely on to you he smiles at his artwork. He slaps his cock on your lips a few more times before scooping it up with his cock and shoveling it into your mouth, making you eat all of his cum.
König stops recording once he is done and puts the phone down on the bed and he picks his pants back up. He would usually have his fun and drop the girl off somewhere safe, but you… you’re so beautiful. Your tits are perfection and he didn’t even get to try that pussy yet. You’re the type of woman that would never even give him the time of day outside of these circumstances. He’s keeping you. You’re his now.

Kiss City Pt. 3
Tumblr media
Pairing: Frankie Morales x f!Reader Word Count: 1.6k Chapter Summary: Sweet baby fluffy Frankie watches over you as you get to know each other. Series Summary: The thing you expected least on what you swore was a day set out to be cursed by the universe, was Frankie. A/N: I'm so sorry it took so long for me to get another part up, and didn't really intend for this to be such a slow burn lol. Life has been, well.. life. Absolutely slammed at work and fighting some dumb health stuff, but I plan to carve more time out for these two more regularly. Cathartic for me tbh <3 Also a bonus that people have been enjoying this - thank you so much for sharing/liking/following! Series Masterlist | Part 2
*I'M ALSO STARTING A TAG LIST!* I haven't kept track of anyone that's already asked, but will going forward! Respond to a post or shoot me a message if you'd like to be added :) xx
---------------------------------------
After a short walk back to Frankie's truck (where he somehow managed to hold every door open for you without dropping your hand), you've agreed on tacos for dinner. Finding yourself in his passenger seat again, you glance at the clock to notice it's not even 1pm - hours until a suitable dinner time you think to yourself.
After he closes the drivers side door and starts the truck, he once again hands you his phone for you to enter your home address this time and you're off (Fleetwood Mac now playing over the stereo).
You fall into a comfortable silence the first few minutes, and Frankie thinks he's subtle as he steals glances at you each time he looks to take a turn or check his mirror. Not subtle at all, but cute nonetheless.
"Can I ask you a question?" he finally breaks the silence first. "Of course" you offer. "How did you know I'm not a creep? Back in the lobby, I said I'm not a creep and you said, 'I know,'"
Your laugh is the hardest he's heard yet, and though he's smiling next to you, he asks again.
"I'm serious!" he half jokingly exclaims. "I'm sorry, that's just not the question I was expecting. I don't know, you..." your voice trails off as you've looked up at him and your gazes lock again, now stopped at a red light. A soft sigh escapes your lips and you offer him a sweet, slight smile.
"You just seem like a good person," you continue and he almost scoffs. "Now I'M serious!" you insist, "I have to admit I was pretty pissed before I met you earlier, but you've gone out of your way to make up for it and make sure I'm okay - you've taken care of me."
He shrugs and turns back to focus on the road as the light turns green and tries to play it off. "Can't have you dyin' on me is all, wouldn't look good on my record you know?"
"Of course," you agree. "Can't have me dyin' on you."
The remainder of the drive is pretty quiet, and when you pull into your driveway and unbuckle your seat belt, Frankie is somehow already out of the truck and rushing to open your door for you. You try to protest and insist that you're not entirely useless, and he tells you the same thing he told you as he carried you inside your office building.
"Maybe I want to."
You can't argue with that, so instead take his hand as he helps you out of the truck. You only let go to dig in your cluttered tote bag for your keys. After unlocking the door and letting him follow behind you, you drop your bag and keys to immediately take your shoes off and let out a long sigh.
"How ya doing over there, champ?" Frankie asks as he closes your front door behind him.
"Honestly, exhausted. I don't really know what the plan for the afternoon is but I could use some serious couch time. We could put on a movie?"
"That sounds great, and probably exactly what you need right now."
You point him in the direction of your living room and explain you're going to throw on some sweats and grab you both something to drink, telling him to "Make yourself comfortable."
... which he definitely hasn't done when you walk into your living room, setting two glasses of water on the coffee table. His back is to you as he studies your walls intently. Photos of you as a kid (with people he imagines would be sisters or cousins), posters from concerts, bizarre art prints, all adorn your walls. But your bookcase is what he zeroes in on, as he's completely oblivious to the fact that you're making yourself comfortable on your couch behind him.
There's a range from classics like Dracula or Pride & Prejudice, to biographies of people he's never even heard of, then histories of music genres, and more - all sorted alphabetically in an almost overflowing book shelf.
A meow breaks his focus and he turns to see you sitting cross legged on your couch in lounge shorts and a comfy crop top as your cat, Beans, hops up to join you.
"Having fun?" you ask, after introducing your pet. "Yeah, sorry, you .. you uh, can tell a lot about a person by their books, is all." "Yeah?" you prod, "what did you learn about me?"
You'd propped an elbow on your bare knee, resting your chin on your fist looking up at him, wide eyed and almost sultry. This time, its your gaze that almost melts him, and he has to force his jaw shut before continuing the conversation.
"Well, you obviously read a lot," in a few steps he's sitting down next to you, Beans on your opposite side.
"Which I like in a person," he continues. "But most of your books are about things I know nothing about. I mean, an auto biography of J.M. Barrie? Who the fuck is J.M. Barrie?"
Your laugh startles Beans, who hops off the couch and saunters off in search of his food dish. Frankie makes a mental note that he wants to do that more often - make you laugh.
"He wrote Peter Pan, Frankie! You've never heard of him?" "Okay, don't hate me, I fully would have guessed that Walt Disney wrote Peter Pan."
You tsk and playfully shake your head, "Maybe you need to borrow the book then," giving him a side eye that nearly knocks him out.
"Gladly," he agrees, and you reach for the remote to put on a movie.
"What are you in the mood for?" you ask as you mindlessly start scrolling through streaming apps.
"Whatever you want, I'm just here to keep you company. What's your go-to comfort movie?" he suggests, and a near devious grin spreads across your face.
Knowing already exactly which app to find it on, you pull up the first, original Nightmare on Elm Street.
"THIS is your comfort movie?" He shifts his legs and body toward you in disbelief, pointing at the screen.
"Yup." you smack your lips as you say it, smiling up at him with pride. "Fall asleep to it most nights."
"You fall asleep to Nightmare on Elm Street?"
"Sure do! Hey, you're the one that told me to put it on."
A chuckle escapes him as he settles into the couch, draping his arm to rest loosely on the top of the couch behind you.
"I'm not complaining, you're just full of surprises, hermosa." You blush at the term, pressing play on the movie. "I like it though," he admits, now focusing on the TV in front of him.
"Yeah, yeah, just watch the movie, Morales." You kid, as you drape the blanket that had followed you to the couch over both of your legs.
Frankie decides a few minutes in, he'd rather watch you watch the movie. You're animated, talking along with the lines as characters say them, having clearly seen it countless times.
Stealing gazes at you periodically, he brings his arm resting on the couch down into his lap. He doesn't trust himself to not fully wrap his arm around you, and though he doesn't think he's misreading you, doesn't want to make you uncomfortable.
After letting out a long yawn though, you sleepily lean over and rest your head on his shoulder, eyes heavy.
He doesn't turn his head to look down, but you feel his eyes on your sleepy face.
"Is this okay?" you ask, lazily turning your head and looking up at him from beneath your lashes.
"Of course," he promises, face now only inches from yours.
You might have been nervous if you weren't so exhausted, but you quickly drift to sleep.
If you knew he was sitting next to trying not to freak out, biting his knuckles, you definitely would have been nervous. You began leaning more of your weight onto him as you fell into a deeper sleep and before he knew it, you were curled up at his side with your head in his lap and his arm draped over your waist.
Time passed quickly and it was safe to say, Frankie was focusing on anything but the movie. The credits began to roll and he hadn't even noticed until you started to slowly blink your eyes open.
"Is it over already?" your sleep stained voice asked, shifting on the couch to look up, your head still in his lap.
"Yeah, I guess it is." Frankie reached down to brush a stray hair out of your face and the look in his eyes made your heart jump.
He'd softened quite a bit over the short time you'd known him, but this look was different. Endearing, like he was in awe of you.
You had leaned your head into his hand as he brushed the hair out of your face and made eye contact with him.
The look you shared was telling - like you had an entire conversation in a glance. Both of you had agreed with this look, "you fascinate me, I can't believe I met you today," and "there's no where else I'd rather be than on this couch with you, and it scares me shitless how attracted I am to you already." All unspoken, but mutually understood, somehow.
You laid for a moment, head in his lap, cradled by his hand, not breaking eye contact.
"You wanna watch the second one?" you ask, gaze and tone still serious.
He really laughs this time, and you're grinning when he looks back down.
"Sure I do, sweetheart." Knowing goddamn well he'll still be watching you instead, he grabs the remote.

something i've been thinking about, essentially non-stop, every time i think of tma is how mag5: thrown away is, to me, an almost perfect representation of & unintentional foreshadowing for the eyepocalypse. i know, i know, jonny's said himself that it was during when he was still playing around with themes for the entities, and it was initially meant to be... i think the flesh? but hear me out on this.
the eye rules the eyepocalypse, and all other fears are therefore feeding it while also feeding themselves; the eye's servants are also the catalyst for the eyepocalypse. with this (albeit common) knowledge laid out, let me explain what i mean by the claim i made:
the episode follows a bunch of garbage truck drivers, and their visits to 93 lancaster road where they find... incredibly odd garbage. it also features several themes of several entities.
the large collections of specific types of waste could be categorized with the extinction, and it being, in general, garbage could tie into the corruption (since... filth).
the bag of doll's heads easily fits under the stranger.
the bag of singed strips of the our father (also called the lord's prayer) can be a hint to the desolation, this isn't even just due to the papers being singed, to me it also feels as if the prayer's “potential” is being destroyed as it now cannot be finished, if this makes sense; the dark, mostly in relation to the people's church of the divine host and the religious themes the cult brought into the dark; and of course the flesh which has some of the strongest religious themes, particularly in relation to christianity (albeit this most often being when cannibalism is at play).
the bag of teeth may also tie in with the flesh, it manifesting in bones and all; the stranger, think “bone apple teeth” (mag34: anatomy class); the corruption, unsanitary/filth, decay (if any of the teeth are decaying/decayed, that is); the end, also manifests in bones; and potentially the extinction due to human remains, which i know the extinction is specifically “destruction of human skin/tissue,” i do think over 1000 teeth could end up falling under it.
and then there's the eye; alan parfitt became so intensely focused on 93 lancaster road, to the point where it started to be a detriment to his health and relationships. the intense desire and morbid curiousity to learn who is leaving these bags at 93 lancaster road, and potentially why they're doing it, not only lead them to keep checking what's in these bags but it also ultimately lead to his death.
and, of course, alan's heart, plated in metal, ties back to the flesh. one could also argue that keiran woodward (the statement giver) sending alan's heart to a medical incinerator could be another small manifestation of the extinction (and this time it's actually destruction of human tissue).
i think i previously said (to friends, not really here) that i've seen a connection to every entity in this episode though i'm not sure whether i was hyperbolizing or if i simply don't remember the potential ties to the hunt, slaughter, spiral, lonely, vast, buried, and web.
i guess what i'm saying, and what my thoughts are, is that mag5: thrown away is a mixed bag (badum-tssss) of entities and the eye, mostly through alan parfitt though also keiran and the others, is kind of like a catalyst to the spiral into their constantly checking what's in those bags, showing manifestions of all the entities, feeding them with their fears. it just a very unintentional amalgamation of entity manifestions that blend in a very eyepocalypse-y way? or, at least, i like interpreting it that way.

job headcanons for marble hornets
was thinking about how troy and joseph were saying that tim was likely working as a contractor or garbage man of some kind during the events of marble hornets, and it got me thinking about what jobs he and the others might have had. gonna say maybe just in a college setting, because i think tim was the only one out of the main four that actually kept a job while marble hornets was going down.
Alex- i think in his senior year of high school, he probably got his first job at some kind of gas station or maybe mowing lawns. in college, he would definitely have a movie theatre job, and i think when his hipster phase starts up, he becomes a barista
Jay- he worked at blockbuster until it went out of business. also i know some people joke about jay being a trust fund baby, but i could not disagree less however i have found a middle ground. he lives with his single mom but gets child support checks once a month from his uber rich dad that did not mean to get Jay’s college student mom pregnant. so they have some money but he is not a trust fund by any means. but anyway i think he also works at a grocery store and maybe also the same movie theatre alex works at
Tim- i think they have the right idea, because of tim’s mental health he probably struggles to keep jobs sadly. i feel like for this reason, he tries to keep several at a time so if he gets fired from one he doesnt end up completely unemployed. probably ends up being like labor and customer service stuff, though he’s not great at customer service. I have an image of truck driver tim in my mind now too tho he could totally do that and slay
Brian- he’s got major bar tender vibes. he’s socially awkward but still extroverted, so talking with people that are drinking alcohol makes is less stressful LOLOL. he’s also got barista or waiter vibes

Optimus meeting with the Warriors and reuniting with Gabi in the Dark Timeline: Part 15: Magath and the Warriors
"Sir?!" Pieck was flabbergasted by the sight of the metal titan, Optimus Prime, driving up towards them. The door had opened, and Magath had stepped out of the driver's seat while the Prime had manifested it's human form.
"What's going on?" Pieck asked him.
"He wanted to check on Gabi and see if she was alright," Magath explained.
"If you would be willing to permit me," Optimus insisted.
"I'm sure that Gabi would be excited to see you, but-!" All three jolted when they heard something clatter on the ground. They turned their attention to the sight of Reiner and Annie. There were broken plates by Reiner's feet, no doubt indicating that he was the one who dropped them. Reiner looked ready to burst into tears while Annie's mouth dropped.
"It's you," Reiner spoke in disbelief, "You're alive."
"I apologize for my unannounced visit," Optimus began as Reiner walked up to him, "But I was hoping to see-!"
Reiner got down on his knees and bowed before Optimus. "Thank you! Thank you so much!"
"R-reiner!" Pieck stuttered while Magath blinked in surprise.
"Gabi's still alive because of you!" Reiner sobbed, "You saved my family when I couldn't! Thank you!"
"Reiner, please raise your head," Optimus requested, but the titan shifter was stunned when Annie bows her head in gratitude.
"You bought us time to escape and flee to Paradis. You protected us, and we're extremely grateful to you," Annie declared, "Thank you."
"Please, this is unnecessary," Optimus insisted, "Raise your heads."
"No way!" Optimus snapped his head to the sound of four of the five Warrior Cadets peering out of the tent they were in, but no sign of Gabi.
"It's you!" Udo pointed to him, causing the other Warrior Cadets to run up to him.
"Wait, hold on!" Annie insisted.
Optimus could see all four of them asking questions, asking about his health, how he escaped Shockwave, and why he hadn't come sooner, and that Gabi was worried. He was flustered by the attention, and tried to get them to calm down so he could answer these new faces, but stopped when he heard the sound of a quiet gasp. He looked ahead, and saw Gabi staring at him with awe and relief written all over her face. She looked better. She no longer looked like she was starving. She had a clean change of clothes and looked like she got proper sleep.
"You're...you're alright." Optimus' shoulders sagged in relief as he stepped forward and out of the crowd surrounding him.
Gabi didn't recognize the new face, but she did recognize that voice and the color scheme, and the truck behind everyone. It was him. It was Optimus! She bolted towards him as fast as she could with her recovering body, and Optimus kneeled down, allowing Gabi to hug him tight and bury her face in his shoulder. The girl continued to sob while Optimus held her tight.
"You're alive!" Gabi's sobs were muffled by the fabric of the holoform jacket, "You're alive!"
"I'm sorry I worried you," Optimus apologized to her, "I'm glad you are well."
The others couldn't help but be both moved at the sight of their reunion, but also feel pity. What in the hell had those two gone through while captured under Shockwave? Meanwhile, both of them were just relieved to see the other alive. To see that they had survived their injuries and survived Shockwave.
Optimus remembered the crowd behind him, and the questions that he needed to address to Magath. "Gabi, I have some matters I need to attend to."
He tried to let her go, but Gabi refused to. She still clung to him so tight and hid her head in his shoulder, doing everything she could to hide her tears. Optimus relented and picked Gabi up. The girl had been through enough, and she needed a moment of peace.
Optimus turned his attention to Magath while still holding the crying girl. "Do we have a place where we could talk in private?"
(So 32 had already been asked and I had missed it, Lol. But the rest is free game.)

🔪 and 🐠 (tarlos) for the ls ask game <3
🔪 What character are you defending with your life?
Honestly, both TK and Carlos as individuals.
I relate to Carlos the most, mainly because I have had really bad anxiety and have had it since the ripe age of 5 years old when I'd throw up before school every day because I was so anxious. So- I really really feel like I understand his avoidance tactics.
And TK- my boy. He's such an sunshiny person for someone who has had so much loss and been through a lot of awful things. He loves love and he loves people.
Both of them do dumbass things- like all humans- but they learn and grow from it.
🐠 (tarlos)
I HAVE SO MANY so thank you for indulging me!
Babies freak them both out. They like kids- but mainly when they're potty trained and can talk. Carlos is annoyingly good with babies, but still prefers being around older kids.
When they broke up, both of them still slept on their respective sides of the bed. They would wake up hugging a pillow and it was actually really sad and both felt kind of pathetic about it and vowed to sleep in the middle the next night, but they never followed through because they'd subconsciously move to their side in their sleep.
TK grew up really independent because he was the upper Manhattan version of a latchkey kid since Gwyn and Owen worked a whole lot. He always had a bunch of sitters and a nanny every once in a while, but he did a lot of his own cooking and cleaning once he turned about 11 and stayed by himself more often. However, he lets Carlos take care of him more often than not now because Carlos has always yearned to be able to take care of someone like his mother did his family and TK really got tired of having to do all the adult things at a really young age. They really balance each other out.
Carlos has such a broad range of reading materials. Woodworking, DIY, health books, but also- bodice rippers/regency romances. He grew up in a household with three older women so he would steal their romance novels and read them late at night. He's a big Bridgerton fan and watches the series when TK is usually in bed after a long shift. He woke up one morning when Carlos was watching an episode in the living room and all he heard was moaning and ran out to see if Carlos was in the mood but ended up getting sucked into the show.
TK's big into QVC and infomercials. His elderly neighbor in Owen's apartment building that checked on him a lot growing up got him hooked into it so every few months, TK's got a new shipment of LocknLock containers or a bulk order of shampoo coming in with some new infomercial gadget that he ordered late at night when Carlos was on an overnight shift.
Carlos cleans the most because clutter makes his eyes twitch, but TK is the better deep cleaner. He spent years polishing fire trucks and rigs so when he cleans- he CLEANS. He also does their laundry because he's very particular about the way things are folded since he always pitched in at the 252 when he was a kid- he would make the people at Macy's cry over how organized their drawers are.
Carlos prefers to drive them around more often because TK's a very aggressive driver and often pulls out in front of people and stops at the very last second and it scares the shit out of him while TK just hums along to a song.

Chapter 1
The mission on Corto Maltese starts off as normal as any of these missions can get
The open palmed hand that smacked into the polished top of the desk did nothing to scare Waller. Rick knew this. Nothing scared her. He wasn’t trying to, anyway, “What the fuck, Waller? Why ain’t she comin’ along?”
“I told you,” came the toneless voice, as cold as the black eyes that bore into his, “She still needs more healing time. I also have other projects lined up for Miss Cadell--”
“Bullshit,” Rick spat, “You said it yourself, we work best as a team--”
Amanda Waller’s voice snapped, the newfound point slicing through Rick’s objection, “And this is a relatively easy group of criminals!” she finished, “You are more than capable of handling them yourself without the help of Miss Cadell. And in case you need reminding, Flag, she's only been on leave for a month."
Rick flinched inwardly, remembering vividly the incident that got Cadell set on bed rest to begin with, "I haven't forgotten--"
Waller's dark eyes zeroed in on him as if she'd read his mind. "Unless you would rather I send her in lieu of you, Flag, regardless of her health status, I suggest you head out and get ready to ship.”
His nostrils flared as he stared out the open door of the helicarrier. It looked like it was about to rain. He hoped it would. A glance back inside at the group he was wrangling showed there was one still missing. He sighed and leaned on the wall. Other projects, my ass. He squinted, staring across the landing strip at the rapidly approaching shadow.
Harley. He amended with a small nod to himself. Tricolor maniac of endless blacks and blood reds and bright whites. Rick thought the new colours suited her better than that cotton candy themed bullshit she’d been on a few years back. However, he really didn’t quite like how she always had to give him a shoulder pat whenever they met. It was patronizing, and being patronized by a criminal was almost dehumanizing. He pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. I hope this mission goes fast.
As fast as it could without his usual second along, anyway.
“What are you doin’ back in prison, Harls?” Boomerang’s metal teeth glinted harsh in the red lights.
“I got road rage,” was the chirpy reply as she strapped herself in, “In a bank.” The words road rage stuck to the inside of Rick’s head like chewed gum to a shoe.
She glanced up from her fingernails, through the smudged windshield to check for traffic or obstacles. Making sure she was still in between the correct lines of the empty-ish street. The wipers squeaked, “I always drive like this. Calm down.”
Still, his large hand hovered over the wheel, “You’re picking at your nails--”
“And steering with my knee." she interrupted lightly, dropping the leg as her long fingers wrapped back around the base of the wheel, “Where I'm from, everyone drives like that. There? Happy?” before he could reply, she suddenly wailed on the horn, “Fuckin’ bastard child! Fuckin’ cut me off, why don’t’chya? Gonna slash your fuckin’ tires, ya’ fuckin’ cunt!”
Rick slowly unfurled his grip from the accurately nicknamed Oh Shit Handle above his head, “You need to calm down.” He mentally cursed the flat tire his truck had. He cursed it, and cursed the fact Nyx was the only other one left at Belle Reve this late at night.
Except Waller.
And Rick had decided he’d rather walk than even think about asking Waller for a ride home.
“I’ll have you know, sir, I am calm," was the happy reply, grit through teeth that were clenched around a persistent hangnail. She pulled her finger out of her mouth with a barely-there snap and spit loosely off to the side, “And I’m an excellent driver. Plus, it’s dark and storming--” thunder rolled overhead almost for emphasis, “My favourite time to drive. You’re probably lyin’ about a flat just to get inside my truck.”
Indeed, the manual transmission, copper coloured truck did pique his interests the first time he saw it, however, the front left tire on his own was in fact flat, “It’s a nice little truck. Like a toy.”
“That’s the point, Flag. But you should see my Cavalier back home. Looks like an RC car got jumped by a drug dealer. Wouldn’t even guess it belonged to me.” She pressed her foot almost flat to the floor, swerving intentionally to spray through a giant puddle in the gutter of a busy intersection.
Below him in the water, Weasel was thrashing, gasping for breath as he– it? – struggled to stay afloat. His already bugged eyes seemed to bug out more. Rick set his jaw, growling into his comm, “Did anyone check on whether Weasel could swim?”
He looked below, again, watching the Weasel sink below the choppy surface. With a sigh, and one last glance over the hull, he took the leap himself. Rick sliced through the water and resurfaced relatively quickly, making his way towards shore with the rest of his team. Even though he should’ve been concentrating on the now, he let his mind wander as he swam.
“Where exactly is home?” she gave him a sidelong glance and began avoiding his gaze. He continued. His voice soft against the dark halls of her condominium building. “Your cav, you said, it's back home.”
Eris Cadell’s face fell as she rested her head against the side of the open door she was standing in, “Long gone, it feels like,” she lifted her eyes to meet his. “I’ll find a new one eventually.”
He always kind of wondered what that meant. And she never did elaborate. He thinks he knows, now, but– I make it through this stupid fuckin’ mission, and she’s clearing some shit up for me, he decided, pressing his back against a rock, “Waller, we’re on the beach and dry.” Harley’s laugh pulled him out of whatever Waller said in response, and Rick did a double take, “Blackguard, get down you…” he trailed off when Blackguard began waving his arms.
“Hey, guys! Hey!”
“There’s fuckin’ soldiers everywhere!” Rick snapped, suddenly, peeking over his hiding position. The beach was lit up with row upon row of flashlights and headlights that made Rick’s heart almost stop. “Blackguard sold us out! He contacted the fucking Corto Maltese Army! Waller, we need to retreat!”
Her usually bored voice came back with more bite than usual, but still solid with authority, “Negative, Flag. The mission is too important. This is a tough group. You can make it.”
There was a soft Okey-Doke from beside Rick that he ignored, “Waller, with all due respect, we’re in the middle of a goddamn-- Harley, wait!”
Who the fuck gave her a goddamn rocket launcher?
Rick ripped the suddenly quiet comm out of his ear and threw it into the water.
He wasn’t sure what the fuck was happening after that. Almost the entire fucking beach was on fire. Bodies piling up, gunfire as loud in his ears as his heartbeat was. Fuck fuck fuck-- he pulled out his pistol and charged forward, shooting two or three soldiers before stumbling and sliding next to Harley into an alcove between two larger rocks.
Not before he got shot, though, a bullet slicing hot through his left side. In his safe spot, Rick groaned and smacked his head back into the rock he was leaned against.

Luck
Tumblr media
"Not only are you completely fine, there's barely a scratch on you." The paramedic finished his checks, and stood up in the cramped space between her stretcher and the shelves that covered the other side of the ambulance. "Do you realise how lucky you are?"
"I don't feel lucky," Esther said, not moving from her prone position. She might not have been injured, but this latest defeat had still been a blow.
"Really? You just stepped out in front of an eighteen-wheeler and lived to tell the tale. You don't think that's some pretty good fortune?"
"No, because I meant for it to hit me."
"I see." He didn't seem unduly surprised, and nodded to the stress blanket they'd given her. "Well, we wondered if that might be the case. I can refer you on to some mental health professionals, if that would help. In the meantime, I would strongly suggest that you don't try a stunt like this again."
"I'll be fine."
"Perhaps you will," the paramedic said. "But not everybody was as lucky as you. That truck swerved out of your way, and into a hatchback in the opposite lane. There were three people inside."
"Oh god. Did they...?"
"The mother and the little girl. The father is hanging on, although perhaps he'll wish that he wasn't." He sighed. "I probably shouldn't be telling you all of that, for your mental health and all of that, but you can't get any lower than this, right? Perhaps this will shock some sense into you. I'm sick of seeing innocent people hurt because of someone's else selfishness."
"I'm sorry," Esther said, and she really meant it. She might not have a bruise to show for the encounter, but this would still wound her for the rest of her life. For the first time since she'd left her job, there was blood on her hands. "You're right, it's all my fault. I wish that family hadn't been hurt. I wish I hadn't survived them either. If the father wants to kill me, you can give him my details. I deserve it."
The paramedic shook his head. "Still thinking about yourself? If you really wanted to end things, you could do the decent thing and take it into your own hands, rather than conspiring to cover someone else's in your blood. Nobody else should have to do that for you."
"I know," she said, staring upwards at the roof in resignation. "I've tried. Believe me. The noose never holds. I bought a gun, but the bullet missed and almost hit my neighbour. I tried jumping, but somebody stepped out and broke my fall. They're in the hospital too. I ran away from that unscathed, as well. I can't go to prison. They even take away your shoelaces. I have to find a way."
"By causing a traffic pile-up?"
"I thought perhaps my actions were cursed. That's why I've been trying to put it in somebody else's hands: they might be able to do what I couldn't." She thought about it. "But I guess the truck driver didn't want it to happen, right? It was still just my initiative, my idea. Maybe I need a motive, like the husband, the father. If they want me to die, they might be able to get it done."
"You're still going to try?" The paramedic couldn't understand. "Why are you so determined to die - especially if you're convinced the universe wants you alive? That seems like it should be a positive sign."
"Oh, it definitely won't let me die, but you don't know the half of it. Being spared tonight might look like a miracle to you, but imagine that same force acting in the rest of my life, except focused on making it constantly worse. Everything I do ends up in failure. Everything I love turns to ash." Esther slowly shook her head. "No, I'm definitely cursed, and now you're seeing the extent of it. I'm not even allowed to die, you see - because that would be a release. It proves that my continued existence is officially worse than death. Do you still think I'm lucky?"
"I do wonder if you're seeing it from the wrong perspective. Have you tried using that fact for good?" the paramedic asked. "I mean, you're immortal, right? That's like some kind of superpower."
"Something good? Like what?" Esther had dedicated her life to doing good, once upon a time. Then the curse had decided to twist all her actions into causing harm. "What would you do if you couldn't be killed?"
"I don't know... stand up to bullies, I guess. Take down some dictator or something."
"No way.," she said. "I think being captured and tortured for the rest of my unnatural life is exactly what the curse would want. It's like with these deaths - it seems to get worse every time, like the more I struggle the tighter it binds. Plus there's the risk that they'd learn about it, and try to take a sample of my blood for themselves. That would just make the whole world worse."
"It's in your blood?"
"Yeah."
"Do you mind if I take a sample? For research?"
A strange look passed across her face, but perhaps no stranger than anyone else's when asked for their blood. "Sure. But research only, mind. Nobody is to inject any into themselves."
"Uh huh." He rummaged in the ambulance behind her whilst she lay under the stress blanket. "Maybe you're going about this all wrong. Trying to end yourself, rather than the curse itself. I mean, if it's actually a curse, there must have been a reason, right? Can you try to undo what you did?"
"That's the problem, I didn't do anything." Esther offered her arm when prompted, and winched briefly at the sting of the needle. "It's not my curse."
"Oh, right. You said it was in your blood." He inspected it briefly, but it looked much like any other blood in the syringe. He headed back towards the front of the van, where shelves of supplies were stacked behind her head. Esther couldn't be sure, but she thought she might have heard a wince before he continued. "Was this a wayward ancestor?
"No, nothing like that," she said.
"Then how else did it find its way to you?"
"I used to be a paramedic."

welp, since you're seeking out asks. i'm finding it really impossible to move on after getting hit by a car a few months ago.
i was walking, i had the complete right of way, and it was broad daylight, so there are no excuses for the driver. the cop who spoke to me while i was waiting for results on a head scan told me there was nothing they could do and that they almost cited me, based on the driver and passenger both lying that I didn't have the right of way. the asshole had cheapo insurance and i had no health insurance, so the entirety of the claim check is going to my legal team, my ambulance bill, and the unbelieve $20k+ ER bill (obviously, i am in America). i was getting into dance classes before this. i am already recovering from and dealing with so many other illnesses.
i just can't move on. i get the check soon and my mind keeps circling back to ways that i can ruin this man's life. not in any irreversible ways, but god i want to make online life miserable for him. something. every time i think i'm moving on from this bitterness, I have another close call as a pedestrian. just last weekend in one day, I almost got hit by a driver who was slowly pulling into a crosswalk without looking ahead, my best friend who i had just parted ways with came inches away from getting hit by a delivery truck that was running a light, and then that same night I saw a bicyclist get run over by another person running a red. the bicyclist died.
all these triggers are so uncontrollable and they just make me so fucking angry. i always end up reverting to thinking about the dude who could have killed me and thinking about how he is suffering no repercussions other than more expensive insurance in the future. i hope he can't sleep at night. i can't even cross a street without having a flashback anymore.
Well, you were hurt and traumatized and then you were punished for it. No fucking wonder that you're angry and upset! How you can be expected to pay 20k because SOMEONE ELSE hit you with their car is beyond me. This world is a mess and I'm so fucking sorry that you've had to go through this crap when it was not even your fault that you got hurt

I WAS A MILLENIAL ON A SPIRITUAL QUEST
How would you like to get started on learning Human Design?
????? what the heck is that ??????
My Story
In December 2017, I was on a call with one of my teachers from the group Trillium Awakening. They asked me for my birthday, time and place of birth, and sent me my Human Design body graph. They talked about how I was a projector, and they were too, how it was a rare type, and that I had a lot of open centers, meaning, I was really open to conditioning from the outside world.
They suggested I check it out and some of its free resources. A small tool too accelerate my spiritual process. Which, by the way, could take up to 7 years.
I *WAS* A 20?Something ON A SPIRITUAL QUEST:
THE VICTIM STORY
Tumblr media
Yikes! This is cool, but heck if I had the time or money for more of that!
I hardly had enough money to pay for our weekly group calls in a women’s circle - that put a price beyond compare - but stretched me, even at the discounted rate they offered.
No one in my family had put money into spiritual or personal development work, while I was knee-deep in the stuff. To be honest, I didn’t really feel like I had a choice.
Doing work on spiritual development was a choice between “This stuff is so expensive. If I do this I won’t have any money and I will die” and “This stuff is absolutely what I need at this point in my life and that the world needs to evolve so if I don’t do this…I will also die.”
So? It was, as one of my teacher’s Marc Gafni would call, an erotic double-bind.
I made the choice to go knee-deep in work towards spiritual evolution.
I left the teaching world and I worked in the “gig economy.”
My resume had 5 different education companies.
I worked between 1-40 hours a week, and spent half of it driving.
For months at a time I did what I loved - working with kids - and had no “boss” to call me to the office.
Sounds good, right?
Finally free from educational institutions, I saw how life really worked in people’s homes. I saw the truth of District public and charter schools, and, no matter where I went, I taught kids in the way that felt good to me.
Of course, not everything ended well, and some parents and classroom teachers asked me to *get out* on the first day! But…the recognition of my abilities as a teacher *direct* and *instantaneous.* The progress of the children showed in their creativity.
Let’s get real though about this so-called “gig economy” that promised millennials freedom. No boss meant no W-2. No health insurance. No retirement plan. No coffee breaks. No co-workers.
The road was lonely.
Between driving to tutor or babysit kids at their home, substitute teach at a random school in Maryland, or attend a retreat in New Jersey, I started to feel less like a teacher and more like a truck driver. I took up bad habits that I never imagined as a yogi. I ate protein bars with more sugar than a Snickers and smoked the more the occasional American Spirit that even listening to Adi Da podcasts could not save me from.
I felt sad - but who else could see me but myself?
Some of my friends from my “previous life” no longer spoke to me. I felt ashamed I had left the active lifestyle I once had of biking, walking and yoga, but I knew I could not afford it. I paid for retreats by offering to cook batch meals for the sangha.
I lived in a basement apartment in a house owned by an electronic musician that hosted bands from all over the country. My next door neighbor was an indie musician as well with a great wardrobe and occasional clothing swaps with her New Zealand friends. My closest friend made her own jewelry and tye-die. Two blocks away from the thrift store! So… Major perk - getting to listen to and play music on the reg. and get free, cute clothes. Major downside - working all the time with hardly enough cash to pay the rent to show for my good deeds, and sometimes looking “woke up like this” and other time looking like I hadn’t changed out of my pajamas.
OKAY…SO WHAT IS THIS HUMAN DESIGN STUFF AND HOW DID YOU LEARN IT
Okay, cool. So back to the start of the story. My teacher gave me a tool and I don’t think I looked at it for two years.
But then …. the covid, the lockdowns, the confinement , and suddenly we all had no where to go, everywhere to be (on Zoom) and time, too much of it.
How was I ever going to ‘be’ someBODY?
I won’t go into the depth of “the lockdown” story because at this point, we all have one.
But lockdown story did not produce the kind of “free time” that one might really hope for, unless, of course, you enjoy “free time” like a character from a Albert Camus novel.
Coincidantalment**, I spent the entire time of “confinement” in two foreign
No exit. Like - am I ever going to get out of this? Am I ever going to escape this like square box my form is trapped inside of, speaking to people in a language no one understands?
Okay. I am going to revisit this Human Design stuff. I am going to learn a language that describes the programming of the human body.
No, this isn’t some weird genetic altering stuff. Au, the contrarie!
A system of empowerment that came along at the right time.
When we are, as David A Temple puts it posed between utopia and dystopia. We are getting the call to know ourselves - NOW - in a progressively globalizing and demanding world. And not just globalizing in terms of “oh maybe this bag of chips I’m eating right now came from a Uyghur death camp and perhaps its made of sawdust.” Okay…maybe that too…but really…Globalizing in terms of the planet - the “PLAN-(N)ET” - has a plan to catch us and we best follow her word…or…else.
TO POPPY-SEED QUEEN CURING HER ADDICTIONS: A HEROINE’S JOURNEY
So I spent…every day of French class, every morning, looking at the transits (both astro and HD), recording my dreams, reading my graph, reading the Cross of the day, the Gate, drawing the iChing…taking a university-levelcourse on iChing…ok…maybe there was some magic involved…and many sleepless nights…and…yes…going down to the depths of the bottom of the bottom…the rabbit hole…the worm hole…the brain hole…you name it…its the the “dark night of the soul “ and there ain’t no batman to help you sidekick robin so you better be the hero of your own story and save the day.
I can tell you. I’ve been there. There’s no going back.
…..*di di di di*** the song of “why do I like Human Design so much” ***do do do do**….
1- TRANSPARENT AND EASY AS F**** TO LEARN
I like Human Design because it is a very transparent system. If you’ve gotten a reading in astrology or tarot, the “method” or “magic” is usually a little hidden from the person receiving the reading. This is more “Teach yourself your Self” and a reader is more like a guide.
Like a contractor explaining the blueprint of a house from the day it was built. You might not of had the tools to build the house - but you get it. The plan is clear.
It’s not like Enneagram or Myers-Briggs where you take a quiz and find out a type, only to have it change again half-way through your life. Those tools of human development are well and good (but are subjective), and you should use those too. But that’s not what this is.
This system starts with the objective.
And then you have to test it out.
2 - the 100% USE FOR 100%…KIDS
Tumblr media
This system, for as weird as the origin story may appear, was built by a teacher. It was built for children and the generations to come.
Anyone who has ever been a teacher (*and hopefully left the profession because they KNOW how the conditioning is happening) for kids under 7 can SEE how easily children and manipulated and cohereced into a “not-Self” program.
They are literally “programmed” to not-love themselves! The sh*t people are paying beaucoup bucks for to *fix* them later in life!
So let’s cut that s-t out before it beings. Let’s raise a generation of kids who don’t need to go to therapy when they grow up to un-do all the trauma that came from their conditioning.
And for you - “grown up” let’s help you re-parent your inner child.
(People always told me I needed to do that. I had no idea how, or the privilege, I felt, to do it.)
Let’s help you learn to “be alone” with your “Self” as you already are - whole.
3 - IS THIS A RELIgION?
Okay, let’s talk religion - if you grew up Christian (like “me” yay****) confirmed in the Christian church…yadda yadda…you probably have SOME trauma from that stuff. Don’t really care if you go to church every Sunday, are a flat-out atheist or extreme right..some body has GOT to say it…
Everything you have been brought up believe is not the meaning of the Christ.
With a little toe-dipping into esoteric Christianity…
The current image of “Jesus on the Cross” is no more than a sacrificial lamb that has you totally tricked into thinking you need to “die” (to the empire) in order to be “saved.”
No. You are a unique balance of light and dark. Although these do move in the 4 directions, they do not always look like a perfect “cross.” More on that later.
BUT The beauty of it …is also that THERE IS a cross. And you can understand it. And you can be and become your own Christ.
Your own Savior. And take back the power into your own life.
I don’t care if you can name me every book of gospel or if you tell me that Jesus was a historical figure or in fact never lived and is a myth in our imagination. Or if Jesus is coming back down from the heavens tomorrow so repent your sinners or oh shit maybe the world really *IS* on fire and maybe the highest court in the land (the UN) and now has “Inner Development Goals” and realizing that maybe infrastructure is not just made of things. It’s made of people. Who hurt. Who feel. Who laugh. Who cry. And is telling people that maybe they should consider working on themselves.
In other words: It’s not just the third world world that needs supported.
I’m not even sure if this has everything or nothing to do with a guy named Zeus with a big white beard who lives in the sky (although, I have had a couple teachers with big white beards that could compete quite fairly with Grandaddy Marx see “The Stoa” for reference)…but I do know this has everything to do with YOU and your unfolding FATE and DESTINY to live a radical life among the stars.
 Yeah…there. I said it.
I’m prothetlytizing on the sidewalk sweeties and its time to convert.
Burn me for it. It’s okay.
Joan was a 5/1. She dressed up as a boy.
They canonized her has a saint.
Tumblr media
Let’s see what the rest of us can do.
OKAY….NOW I’M THE BAD GUY BECAUSE…
This knowledge is not free. So I do charge.
It’s an Interior Science. No one will do it for you.
It takes time. You have to test it out for yourself.
Let me ask you this: If you didn’t have a story before…do you have one now?
Try Human Design.
My Design - A Poem
I’m a Savior, but not a Saint.
But the crisis is urgent. And the task is real.
There’s a Devil in command, and I’ve trained him to be quiet.
Wearing masks, playing charades, yet we know it’s all a game.
Yes, it’s all an illusion of MAIA. She’s the goddess. The veil of illusion.
She’s written these words and she’s ended my confusion.
Her values will break you apart and make you whole again.
Come home, and be your Self. No one else will do it for you.

Essential Tips for Safe Truck Driving During Summer Storms
Tumblr media
Summer storms can turn a routine drive into a challenging and potentially hazardous situation for truck drivers. Heavy rain, high winds, and lightning can create dangerous conditions that require extra caution and preparation. In this guide, we’ll provide you with key tips to ensure your safety on the road and introduce you to essential services like Truck Repair and Fast Mobile Truck Tire Repair in Annapolis, MD.
Preparing for Summer Storms on the Road
Stay Updated on Weather Conditions
Before you set out on your journey, it’s important to check the weather forecast for your entire route. Being aware of potential storms ahead of time allows you to plan your trip accordingly, whether that means adjusting your route or preparing for delays. Real-time weather apps can be invaluable, offering alerts and updates that keep you informed while on the move.
Adapt Your Driving Style to the Conditions
Driving in stormy weather requires more than just cautious driving—it demands specific adjustments to ensure safety:
Slow Down: Wet and slippery roads can drastically reduce your vehicle's traction. Lowering your speed helps maintain control and reduces the risk of skidding.
Increase Following Distance: Allow more space between your truck and the vehicle ahead. This extra distance gives you more time to react if the situation changes suddenly.
Gentle Steering and Braking: Avoid abrupt maneuvers. Smooth, gradual adjustments help prevent your truck from losing stability on wet surfaces.
Keep Your Truck in Optimal Condition
Routine maintenance is critical, especially when you’re facing unpredictable weather conditions. Here’s what you should focus on:
Tire Health: Regularly check that your tires are properly inflated and have sufficient tread depth. Good tires are essential for maintaining traction on wet roads.
Wipers and Lights: Ensure your windshield wipers are in good condition and that all lights are functioning properly. Visibility is key during a storm.
Regular Maintenance Checks: Consistent maintenance can help you avoid unexpected breakdowns. A well-maintained truck is less likely to fail during challenging weather.
Know When to Pull Over
In some cases, the safest decision is to pull over and wait until the storm passes:
Find a Safe Place: If the weather becomes too severe, look for a safe location such as a rest area or truck stop to pull over. Avoid stopping on the side of the road unless there’s no other option.

DOT Physical Medical Exam
Tumblr media
Commercial motor vehicle drivers must have a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam before they are authorized to operate a commercial vehicle. These exams are mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). They can help a medical professional decide if a driver is physically, emotionally, and mentally stable enough to safely operate a commercial vehicle, such as a big rig truck or a bus used for public transportation.
A DOT physical exam will not only keep others safe but may also find underlying health conditions that you are unaware of. If you are considering a career as a commercial driver, here is more information about the DOT Physical Medical Exam.
Why Is a DOT Medical Exam Important?
The DOT physical is a necessary exam for anyone applying for a job as a commercial motor vehicle driver. The doctor giving the exam ensures the driver is up-to-date on all their health examinations and is at peak health for driving a truck or public vehicle. The exam ensures that all CMV drivers can physically and mentally handle the long hours on the road and all the stress that comes with operating various commercial vehicles.
What Should I Know Before My Appointment?
There are several things you will need to know before your DOT exam appointment. First, make sure your insurance company will cover your exam. If your insurer does not cover DOT exams, you will need to pay upfront for the service.
You should bring along any required forms, such as your DOT Medical Exam Report, with you to the exam. This report includes Driver Information and your Health History, as well as other essential details that can be useful to the doctor.
If you have a medical disability that does not hinder your ability to operate a commercial vehicle safely, you will need to bring a medical release form that shows your physician’s approval for you to work with this condition.
Remember, while a DOT physical is similar to your annual check-up with your doctor, this exam should not take the place of any wellness physical or other visit that you have each year.
What Takes Place During a DOT Exam?
During a DOT exam, a doctor will check several things to ensure you have no health conditions that would put you in danger while on the road for many hours. The exam will consist of various tests to help the doctor determine if you can safely operate a commercial vehicle.
The tests are similar to those you would receive if you were going for your annual wellness checkups, such as a vision test, hearing test, and urinalysis. The doctor or a nurse will check your blood pressure and pulse rate to ensure you are healthy enough to sit behind the wheel for long periods and check for any abnormalities.
The DOT exam also includes a physical exam that tests for various issues with breathing, weakness or damage to the limbs, good balance and reflexes, and limitations or tenderness with your skeletal system.
Vaccinations may also be required during the exam. Some of the vaccines commonly administered at this time include those for Hepatitis A and B, Influenza, and the vaccine for Polio/Tetanus/Typhoid.

Understanding the Risk Factors for Developing Bladder Cancer Bladder cancer is a significant health concern that can affect anyone, though certain factors can increase the risk of developing this disease. Understanding these risk factors is crucial for early detection and prevention. In this blog, we will explore the various risk factors associated with bladder cancer and offer insights into how you can mitigate these risks.
Major Risk Factors for Bladder Cancer
Smoking Smoking is the most significant risk factor for bladder cancer. Smokers are at least three times more likely to develop bladder cancer than non-smokers. The harmful chemicals in tobacco can accumulate in the bladder and damage its lining, leading to cancerous changes over time.
Chemical Exposure Exposure to certain industrial chemicals can increase the risk of bladder cancer. Workers in industries such as rubber, leather, textiles, and paint manufacturing, as well as hairdressers and truck drivers, may be exposed to carcinogenic substances like aromatic amines, which are known to contribute to bladder cancer.
Chronic Bladder Infections and Irritation Recurrent bladder infections, chronic urinary tract infections (UTIs), and long-term use of urinary catheters can increase the risk of bladder cancer. These conditions cause prolonged inflammation of the bladder, which may lead to cellular changes and cancer.
Age and Gender The risk of bladder cancer increases with age, particularly after the age of 55. Additionally, men are more likely to develop bladder cancer than women. However, it's important for both genders to be aware of the risk factors and symptoms.
Family History and Genetics A family history of bladder cancer can increase your risk, as certain genetic mutations can be inherited. People with a personal or family history of Lynch syndrome, also known as hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC), have a higher risk of bladder cancer.
Personal Medical History Individuals who have had bladder cancer before are at a higher risk of developing it again. Moreover, those who have undergone radiation therapy, especially for cancers in the pelvic region, have an increased risk of bladder cancer.
Arsenic in Drinking Water Exposure to high levels of arsenic in drinking water has been linked to an increased risk of bladder cancer. This is more prevalent in certain regions where arsenic levels in water are naturally higher.
Preventing Bladder Cancer Understanding these risk factors can help you take steps to reduce your risk of developing bladder cancer. Here are some preventive measures:
Quit Smoking: This is the most effective way to reduce your risk. Seek help if needed to stop smoking. Avoid Chemical Exposure: Use protective gear if you work in industries with chemical exposure, and follow safety protocols to minimize risk. Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle: A balanced diet, regular exercise, and staying hydrated can support overall bladder health. Regular Check-ups: Regular medical check-ups, especially if you have risk factors, can help with early detection and treatment.
