Just finished watching Victim/Suspect, a Netflix documentary. It's appalling what happens to SA survivors, why do so many make it so much worse.
The doc is about US police officers, instead of properly investigating an SA case, get the victim to recant and then charge *them* for making a false report.
#abearwouldnever tell a victim they were lying.

The Dance Academy isn't a gang- DC X DP Prompt
Inspired by this prompt
Clockwork suggests to Danny, who's been the king of the infinite realms for 6 years now, that he should take sometime off in a mortal realm. He doesn't feel like going back to his own dimension (you choose the reason), so Clockwork suggest another dimension where he thinks Danny might have fun.
Danny investigates the dimension, and finds it is a dimension where some humans, who are called meta-humans, develop powers, mostly during their childhood. Danny knows how tiring and alienating it is to grow with powers that one have to hide. He wishes to give this kids a safe space to experiment with their powers, but not as a weapon, just as part of themself.
He chooses to create a dance academy, because dancing is something in which you use your body and express yourself. It would be an excellent way to encourage this kids to use their powers while enjoying themself. He decides to open the dance academy in Gotham, were it seems metas may feel more pressure to keep themself hidden. With his ability to see and feel the differences in soul it's easy to identify metas, so he starts scouting kids for the academy.
Of course convincing the kids that it's just a a dance academy that wants to create a save space for metas, instead is of a trafficking ring, is difficult. But once he gets the first couple kids in, slowly more come too.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Bruce is worried about the new possible meta gang that it's forming on Gotham, and sends Duke undercover.
It's hasn't been long since Duke joined the bats, and this is his first official undercover mission. He's excited at the start, feeling proud that he's been trusted with an independent job, but then he finds out that the "gang" it's just a dance academy. He's a little disappointed, thinking that this job is more of a probation thing than anything, since there isn't anything suspicious.
The bats tell him to stay in the dance academy, because maybe the dance thing is just a cover up and they'll reveal their real motives when he's actually accepted in the group. And Duke takes it as them wanting him to have a meta support system. See? He's learning to understand how the bats show love to each other!
Duke finds himself enjoying being in a dance group. It's a lot of fun. Danny it's fantastic, he has a lot of powers and isn't scare to show them. Which makes everyone in the group feel so much safer to use their own.
Danny encourages them to integrate their powers in their dance. It's freeing. Their powers are treated as a normal part of them, and not as this exotic ability that has to be controlled. It's such a safe space that all of them have gotten used to using their powers for day to day stuff when in the dance studio. It all feels so casual because no one bats an eye to it. There's no talk about how they should try to do things "normally," or limit their use of their power.
Danny: "Why would you? That's your normal, and this place is safe for you to just be you."
Duke realizes a bit late that the bats were actually suspicious of the group, and that his placement there wasn't really a probation. He's glad to know he was actually trusted with a job, but, he had really thought that every time they had asked about his day with the group was because they were interested in how he was doing. That they were showing love and interest in him in that evasive ways the bats did, and it kinda suck to know it wasn't the case. It also meant that he had to confront their family in their clear meta-discrimination.
"Would you have been so suspicious if it wasn't a meta group? No. Other than them all being metas there wasn't anything off. No proof of fights, no proof of robberies, no proof of trafficking, nothing.
There's no proof of anything other than a group of teens dancing, and you know that because you checked it out before sending me.
Like, I don't blame you for checking it, I'm not naive, but you were so sure it was a gang, just because they were metas. That's fucked up guys."

I did like three Tetro “Whero decides their fates”(s) in like two weeks for some reason.
MAJOR SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 5 (and those wheels I guess. I’ll do proper posts on each later)
Mai was always a victim. She got killed by three different people somehow
With that in mind…
Hasegawa was the only person who survived every single simulation
Ojima kept murdering people, somehow.
Anyone else with a constant type of role lined up with canon

Malec AU
Magnus can see ghosts. Always has been. It has made his life both better and much harder. He has tried talking about it, learning more about it, been in therapy because of it, tried getting rid of it, ignoring it,… now it's just simply a part of him. And he is done trying to hide it. He may not yell about it, but if anyone asks… His closest friends know he speaks the truth, others think him eccentric at best and crazy at worst. Magnus has stopped caring. Doesn't make it easier when he has to tip off the police about any murder cases attached to ghosts that somehow always find and annoy him into helping them find peace. At least Detective Pretty Boy has stopped treating him as suspect number 1 in all the murder cases Magnus has been helping with.

Death note au where L transfers to daikoku academy in undercover to catch kira, and light yagami is not one of his suspects. The reason being this kira is too reckless and relentless, there is no rhyme or reason why they kill, they just do. This also means they leave more trail to where they are, but also puts more pressure to the police since so many people are dying randomly, and the broadcast confrontation L did just solidified the theory this kira is in Japan. Since this kira doesn't really have any connections with the Japanese police they never knew that they've already narrowed it down to kira being a student. With this, they then narrowed it down to daikoku private academy in which L coincidentally becomes classmates with Light. And Light hates him.
Tumblr media
(Don't mind this, I just need to draw it first to put it into words, but yeah, this is the idea?)
Light's first impression of him was that he was certainly unique (read: weird). This guy suddenly transfers to the academy when it's the last term of their third year. Sits crouching in his seat and his legs tucked to his chest and starts eating sweets in his table. He doesn't even talk to anyone unless it was to creep or interrogate them, and just looks at other people. He once saw him standing and observing an entirely different section. It was annoying, and he could barely suppress his annoyance to the whole situation. So he ignores the transfer and waits for the teachers to reprimand the transfer themselves. It doesn't take while for the teachers to notice the transfer doing these.
"RYUGA!" the teacher shouts. The transfer pauses with what he was doing. "Can you answer the question from the board?" The transfer barely glances to the board before saying the answer. This doesn't satisfy the teacher however, and asked him random mathematical questions, some which light knows haven't been taught, and the transfer, once again, answers them perfectly.
Light is surprised. And only caught himself staring when he saw ryuga is staring at him back. The teacher moves on and asks light to answer, which he answers correctly. The teacher started complimenting him, and how that's how a student should be. Light just sits down again, and sees ryuga's attention somewhere else. (He doesn't know why, but slightly pissed him off. But he ignores him, better not associate himself with him)..
Is what he would say, if the teachers didn't just unanimously agreed that the transfer needed to be seated near light so that ryuga could learn from him. (Read: let light deal with the transfer, and any to no improvement of his behaviour would be blamed to him instead). So he tries to talk to ryuga, only to be met with short or cut out answers and sarcasm.
But then the open debate happened. With the news about kira, a mass murderer with no morals or reason, the philosophy teacher decided it would be a great topic to debate on. Which L was on the side of kira and light against kira. (Idk, maybe they argue the world is too overpopulated and lacking resources to provide for basic needs, and something about programs and also murder shouldn't be the solution and the fact that lives are being killed for no reason) and after the debate (which lasted the whole time for the subject, the debate ended in a draw and none of the teams are happy) light became intrigued with ryuga. He made points he could barely argue with, without directing it to another topic, and how he manages to sometimes take over the conversation by twisting his words to something else. Light is annoyed. And intrigued. But before he could even congratulate him, he just ignores him and walks over to the other section!
(Lmao, I just imagine light fascinated but also hates L, but gets jealous because he seems more fascinated with the other people in other sections. While L ignores light because, although he is also as fascinated with him, he's not a priority considering he needs to catch kira).

RA how have you guessed both Tetro culprits right so far plz teach me your ways
It’s called taking in every detail and monitoring everyone’s behaviour.
And hyper focus on that. If the story is good and the writer isn’t looking to do a gotcha to the audience, then you will get the culprit right most of the time.
Sasaki wasn’t good at hiding her emotions and that got my sus meter going on, to the point I felt even the creator themselves was alarmed how fast I caught on.
With Harada, the lack of Sawa noises got me suspicious as she’s normally making some noise, the fact I felt Harada was crying a little too hard to just be grief of losing a friend but genuine remorse over what he done and then once the blood was found…I managed to figure out that you don’t shove a tiger into a Killing Game for a good reason.
I still remember before V3 came out I did some predictions on who I believed the victim order is and this is what I came up with;
Chapter 1:
Victim: Kiibo
Killer: Tsumugi
Chapter 2:
Victim: Ryoma
Killer: Himiko
Chapter 3:
Victim 1: Angie
Victim 2: Kirumi
Culprit: Korekiyo
Chapter 4:
Victim: Kokichi
Culprit: Gonta
Chapter 5
Victim: Rantaro (But he lives in good ending)
Culprit/Traitor: Shuichi (This when I thought Shuichi was gonna be the rival)
Mastermind: Maki
Survivors: Kaede, Rantaro, Miu, Tenko and Kaito
It’s honestly frightening how much I got right from mere guesswork before the game came out and some weren’t even that far off.
And that’s not even getting into how I drew up scenarios for some of this and how I crafted V3’s Chapter 4 was almost a mirror copy for how a certain SDRA2 character would behave, almost as if they stole my ideas.

Why is it that pretty much every ya thriller is like “random teenage girl decides to investigate year(s) old murder/disappearance of perfect sweet angel of the community and continuously puts herself in situations where she is alone on purpose with people she suspects might have had a hand in the murder but also along the way finds out that literal victim might not have been so perfect all along and also some things should just stay hidden oooooh spooooky”
