"ah, kids can be brutal." ling said with a dramatic sigh. "i swear i'm bruised all over." it wasn't the worst he'd ever had by far. some kids getting scrappy in a class was far better than the genuine fights ling had been in, but he never turned down a chance to be a little annoying. "i don't know how i'll go on with this job. right now they're small and if they miss a target i get kicked in the arm, but what happens when they get bigger and i get kicked in my face? i don't know if i can cope."

Hello Rainbowsky,
Is it true that someone really booked 26 screenings of One and Only. Or is it a rumour?
And if it’s true, 26 screenings mean it is dedicated to WYB’s 26th birthday.
So, WYB, Chongqing, very rich and anonymous identity does not it points to one person? => XZ
What do you think?
Hi Anon! 😊
Tumblr media
Fake, fan fiction, CPN.
It's true that there were such bookings made in Chongqing (GG's hometown, and where his family lives).
It's not proved who is behind the bookings, but the number is an interesting coincidence given that DD is turning 26 soon. We know that GG and DD often signal their birthdays this way.
And whoever it was bought all the expensive high end theaters where tickets are difficult to sell, and left the affordable ones for passersby, which was thoughtful - like a rabbit we all know.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(source)
The same thing was done for Born to Fly. 30 screenings were bought out. A friend told me that a box office analyst even took note of it, saying that the film was doing better in Chongqing than anywhere else in the country. 😅
Other celebrities have been buying screenings - a long list of them, some of them including (source):
Kara Wai - Hu Jun - Wang Chuanjun - Victoria Song Qian - Yin Zheng - Wu Lei - Yu Shi - Ni Hongjie - Qiao Shan - Wang Shengnan - Meng Hetang - director Su Liang - Wang Yitai - Dong Sicheng - Jia Ling - Jia Bing - Liu Xiaoshi - Huang Yi
And there are likely more who've booked screenings, but they're all open about it, and post openly about their support for DD and their best wishes for the success of the film. And no one is booking a large number of screenings like this.
30 screenings, 26 screenings - this is an extravagant expense, and done anonymously. That points to GG AFAIAC. He doesn't do half measures. He drops bombs, as we all know. He's not subtle.
Yes, it's a gift but I think it's also a flex. He's showing that he supports DD in a big way, and will spare no expense.
Those who know, know.
DD said Leos love to be praised. This is definite praise. It's sweet to picture DD's smug spoiled smile when he finds out about things like this. He knows he's loved, and he knows that others know it too. That's something that would definitely please him.
Of course, this is total CPN. We have no way of verifying.

do you have any recs for scifi/fantasy? they are also my preferred genres, but i'm not fond of the type of scifi and fantasy that often gets recommended :') nothing inherently wrong with booktok, but we do not have the same taste...
yes absolutely SUCH a fun question 4 me ok let me. go thru my storygraph + pick some out...this list may get long...
sci-fi:
infect your friends and loved ones by torrey peters - novella abt a disease that stops humans from naturally producing hormones so that everyone basically becomes "trans." deals heavily w topics of transmisogyny
how to live safely in a science fictional universe by charles yu - time machine repair guy gets stuck in a time loop
the feverwake duology by victoria lee - a post-apocalyptic u.s. has split into various smaller countries. noam, living in carolinia, is the child of refugees who harbors deep resentment towards the government for its treatment of immigrants. a magic disease that kills 95% of the people who get it but grants the survivors super powers leaves noam as the only survivor in his community, and because his power is incredibly rare and potent he's recruited into an elite military school and suddenly forced to work for the government he hates
this is how you lose the time war by max gladstone and amal el-mohtar - this one blew up in the online sphere recently + so has had tons of people talking abt how they love it or hate it but! i really loved it. soldiers on opposite sides of a time war falling in love
severance by ling ma - story about a woman traveling with a group through a post-apocalyptic u.s. in search of a new place to live
the illuminae files trilogy by jay kristoff and amie kaufman - SUCH a fun series!! it has everything zombies parasitic aliens corporate conspiracy...the books are written in the format of files of collected evidence which is fun + funky; the plot essentially follows various characters who get caught in the crossfire when two corporations go to war over a planet. the first book centers on refugees from the planet trying to escape in a spaceship
villains duology by ve schwab - two college roommates crack the secret to getting super powers and team up to give each other powers; they subsequently become lifelong enemies
fantasy:
a history of glitter and blood by hannah moskowitz - in ferrum, fairies live aboveground and gnomes live underground performing the bulk of the city's manual + menial labor, with the tradeoff that every so often the gnomes will eat the fairies. the city has been functioning peacefully this way for years until the tightropers (a species who spin webs from their mouths) arrive under the guise of "fairy liberation." war between the gnomes and the tightropers breaks out and all but 4 teenage fairies flee the city--the story follows those 4 teenage fairies as they navigate the war. one of my absolute favorite books of all time!!
the last unicorn by peter s beagle - a story about a unicorn who inadvertently overhears a conversation about how there are no more unicorns in the world, so she travels out of her forest to find out what happened to all the other unicorns. another one of my favorite books of all time
the shades of magic trilogy by ve schwab - read this back in 2021 so it's no longer super fresh in my mind but i remember thinking it was really fun especially the 2nd book! somewhat standard fantasy series about a second secret london where magic exists and a girl teaming up with a magician to stop an evil threat, etc etc
the gormenghast trilogy by mervyn peake - (you only need to read the first two books tho tbh) very slow paced but gorgeous writing and such a vivid world!! the books follow an earl and his family living in the crumbling castle gormenghast after the birth of his son and heir, titus groan. titus is supposed to grow up and take over as earl, and various forces conspire to either assist or prevent him from doing so
teeth by hannah moskowitz - a teen boy moves with his family to an island purported to have magic fish that can cure any illness. the fish work and his terminally ill younger brother begins to get healthier, but things get complicated when the boy meets a mermaid who's trying to save the fish
howl's moving castle by dianna wynne jones - such a lovely book <3 quite different from the movie so even if you've seen it the story still feels fresh!
gonna cut myself off here but! hopefully there is something in here that u will enjoy :•)

Maybe u could talk about the Byngs? Not necessarily as a family unit, I just never see people talk about them in depth despite their importance in the game and lore.
You know what I noticed the other day? When Victoria meets with General Byng after her jailbreak, he offers her a place in his safehouse. This would have to be after Sally's escape from it or else he'd be planning for her to stay there instead (and also because by this point, Victoria's begun her assault on the Joy supply in the water so the town is going properly insane about it). And yet, Byng's not got his face all slashed up as he should. I think Victoria would have noticed that.
Tumblr media
You could write that off as unintentional oversight, but they do have a texture of slashed-face Byng they could have used. On the other hand, that texture is only seen for a split-second in Sally's act.
Tumblr media
It happens so fast one might even wonder if it actually happened at all.
The foundation for questioning Sally's perception of things is a whole other post (which this fandom desperately needs), but let's just say that everyone is the hero of their own story and wants to remember themselves as more than they probably were in a moment.
A lot of what we know about Byng is through the lens of him as a burdensome necessity to Sally's survival. Sally certainly spends a lot of her time soliloquizing to herself about how much of a chore entertaining him (and men like him) is. But she also fondly calls him "Byng-a-ling" on her clientele list that no one but her will ever see. She likes Byng, but she has to complain to herself to maintain her self-perception as the put-upon pretty girl.
I would argue Byng is actually the best suitor she's had, exactly what she's spent her entire adult life looking for. She can lie to herself about wanting Arthur, but if an Arthur was what she wanted, she could have found one. You can't throw a dead rat in Wellington Wells without hitting an Arthur. But she doesn't actually go for Arthurs, does she?
What she seeks out are men who can do something for her. But those men want things in exchange, they make demands on her time and attention. She has to give to get. Men like Stewart Adams are happy to give her practically anything for a smile, but they hardly have anything to give. She complains constantly about how Verloc required all of her attention, but she got status, education, access to chemicals and equipment, the list goes on.
But Byng! Byng shows up, what, once every week or so? A spritz in the mouth and a little manic-pixie-dream-girl dance and he's good. Very low maintenance comparatively.
And he gives her equally as much as Verloc did with the added bonus of protecting her from Verloc. Really, his only overt demand is still a passive one: keep the Bobbies supplied with Blackberry, thus maintaining the power balance in the town to Byng's favor. She'd have to do that anyway.
And the difference is Byng sees this relationship the way Sally would like the relationship to be. They meet periodically, she gets everything she wants from him and barely has to do anything for it. The promise of being the prettiest girl in the world, finally fulfilled! Even that once-a-week encounter can't be that much of a chore. Imagine being a girl as insecure as Sally, thinking your only power in the world is your looks, you just had a baby when everyone around you is a waif and the local tabloid said you could stand to lose some weight, and the most powerful man in town is content to get high, watch you do a little dance, and fuck on off when he wakes up without even demanding a goodbye. That's quite ideal, if you didn't have a baby upstairs.
But she has to think of it as a hassle because otherwise, she'd have to admit that it's what she always thought she was entitled to.
She only really starts to turn on Byng when he suggests that she should let him take Gwen across the bridge. And that sounds just monstrous if you're Sally but... is that really so unreasonable? If you are looking at this objectively, that's whole-ass a plan. Wellington Wells is incredibly unsafe for a baby!
I'm not saying Sally's wrong for being like, "Uh, no?" about that because she does not know what's on the other side of the bridge. We know there are children out there, as evidenced by Shitty Day Kid. You don't learn about him until after Ollie's act, so you don't know when Byng is making this offer to Sally, but there is conceivably a place for Gwen to go. Therefore, there's no reason why we should assume any nefarious intent behind his offer to get her out.
Yes, Byng does have his ulterior motives for wanting to send Gwen across but not Sally. He needs Sally; the entire town does. Her departure would have meant the end of order in Wellington Wells, even outside of Arthur's, Ollie's, and Victoria's actions. And, if you are Byng, even if (as Indira says in a cut line) "an Englishman’s duty has an uncanny knack of being whatever it is he wants to do anyway", well, it is in this case. His duty to Wellington Wells would very explicitly be to not allow - let alone enable - one of its most valuable assets to leave.
I think my favorite thing about Byng, though, is that he often has to be the adult in the room to a populace that has elected to remain children. And as such, because you are as a player made to empathize with these adult children (and indeed because most of the people who played this game were children themselves), this more than anything is why Byng comes off as the game's ultimate villain.
Unfortunately, he's also very often right.
"Sally. Do you love her? Or do you just love having someone who needs you?"
"Really? Would the good townsfolk of Wellington Wells have followed me into the machine guns? Or would they all have hidden in their basements?"
"[The Executive Committee]'d tear me apart like starved jackals. And then they'd pop a Joy."
"Nothing is exactly what we must do. If our people realize they're running out of food, they'll kill each other for the last box of V-Meat!"
Like, none of these statements are untrue. In the context that you hear all of them, you're in the position to read them as self-serving excuses and rationalizations. But Byng is perhaps the person best equipped to see the big picture. He does not take Joy like Victoria, he's not under the same pressure and emotional distress as Verloc, he has been awake and aware the entire time. "Excruciatingly well informed," as a certain memory of an ex-wife once put it.
He's also a skilled tactician and knows the limits of his own powers (which he makes a point of multiple times: "there's only so many strings I can pull" to Victoria, "even I won't be able to save you then" to Sally, "you don't think I'm the one who decides these things, do you?" to Ollie). He can predict what outcomes will occur based on what he can do with the resources available to him and frankly, Wellington Wells is not the best hand to be dealt. Like I said in the Haworth and Verloc post, it's a city of cowards and savages.
Even the point at which Victoria loses all faith in him, when he says that "Our duty now… is to rescue what we can. Salvage something from this whole rotten mess. Even if it's only two or three people," is not an unreasonable position to take from his perspective. The citizens of Wellington Wells are behaving exactly as predicted. To narrow the scope of his interest to just the few people he can save, and narrowing it again as those people reject his offers? It's a tactical reallocation of resources. Every day is a fuckin' battle when you're the General.
I'm not saying he's a good person. He's not. Even his own biography - which presumably would tell you how he himself would like to be perceived - paints him as a self-serving tattletale. He's as much a shitheel as everyone else in this game. But I do think anything you hear about him (and this is true of everyone in this game, all the time) needs to be viewed in the context of the person who's stating that opinion.
And always remember what they tell you right at the beginning of Sally's act:

Alucard (hellsing) X GN!reader. Who refuses to be turned into a vampire.
Warnings : non
Tumblr media
I've been thinking about it for a time now, so I'll write it down, this is one shot but like a short one with no Specific ending.
So you are one of the special assassin's in hellsing, you have a set off abilities like, fighting, using different kinds of weapons, being smart, you were mesmerising for everyone, cuz how could just a human be that strong?
So you are usually sent for normal missions, like k**ling someone, blackmailing people, nothing happened to do with the ghouls or vampires, but one day you and bunch of other assassin's were sent to a mission no one knows anything about,
And what happened is all the others met thair faith, you were the only one that's left there when alucard arrived to the place.
A/n : just like what happened to Victoria
Alucard asks you if you were a virgin, you looked at him and said "what's that supposed to mean?" you stopped for a moment then your eyes widened as you realised that he might turn you into a vampire "hey, don't you dare even thinking about turning me into one of these" you point at the evil vampire who's holding you as a captive, alucard smirk as he says "you might die" so you simply answered "I'd rather die than being one of those"
With that you actually caught alucards attention, so what he did is shoting your shoulder, that actually reached the vampires shoulder too, but the vampire shot alucard but.....like....this is alucard so he actually ki**ed the vampire.
He comes up to you as you hold the wound so you say sarcastically "great planning" so he just smirks and replys "at least you're still alive" then lifts you up bridal style, than takes you to the hellsings building.

Empires Arknights AU - Scott fWhip
Is it an excuse to ramble about one of my favourite games? Maybeeeee… {: <3<3<3
Slightly lore-dumpy explanation of stuff (can probably be skipped):
Arknights - tower defence gatcha
Lungmen - mobile, modern Chinese/Japanesee style city
Liberi - bird people {reference}
Lung - asian style dragon {reference} people as oposed to draco {reference}
Ægir - fish people {reference}
Leithanien - Arknights Germany
Victoria - Arknights UK
Wei - leader of Lungmen
Lin's - old Lin, or Rat King is kinda the godfather of Lungmen underworld, his {granddaughter} is to take over after him
Penguin Logistics - a logistics company with an actual penguin for a boss
Siracusa - Arknights Italy, full of wolf-people, minus Vatican, that's Laterano, totally separate place with Sankta - angels with guns
L.G.D. - Lungmen Guard Departmen, kind of Lungmen police
Hoshiguma - member of the Special Service of Lungmen Guard Department {reference}
Ch'en - Special Inspection Unit Chief, L.G.D. {reference}
Scott was having a great day. Yes, he spent most of it in his high-rise office. Taking in appointments, and making phone calls. But at least today no one pulled out a gun on him. Just the thought of the few rude 'customers' was enough to have the Liberi's feathers ruffled. With a sigh, he calmed down and glanced at the clock. Nicely made, imported from Leithanien. He had some fond memories of a brief stay there in his youth. Not that it was that long ago.
He was starting to wonder how long he should stay, waiting for his last guest when his door swung open. An angry Lung, dressed in rather traditional Lungmen garb. Ginger hair tied in a long braid. Scott kind of hated it. Blue eyes narrowed in a glare that the Liberi met with a polite smile.
"Punctual as always, Mr fWhip," he greeted with his best 'Victorian', as fWhip called it, smile.
"Don't give me that, why did you send assassins after me this time?" he asked, taking most of the couch opposite of Scot's desk.
"I simply didn't want you to ignore my invitation, unlike the last time I sent one," Scott's smile faltered slightly. fWhip could be damn annoying. Unfortunately, he was Lungmen's best when it came to explosives and Scott's... business often needed them. "Would you like some tea? I recently received a shipment of Victoria's finest," he offered, the legal part of his business was all about trade. Less legal... also imports but of things Mr Wei would approve. Lin's certainly did like him.
"Sure, why not," the Lung huffed. He did keep his eye on Scott as he made the two cups. "You still insist on dressing like a Victorian," he huffed. For some reason, he was really against Scott's suits.
"Well, that's where I'm from after all," Scott shrugged. And Victorian clothes were comfier for him. He did not mention that.
"What did you get me to come here for? And be glad I didn't report you to Madam Ch'en. She's not let you go no matter how much Lin's like you," he huffed. Ever loyal to Wei. How boring.
"Right to the business," Scott shook his head. "Maybe I just wanted to share a cup of tea with a friend?"
fWhip laughed at that. "Yeah right. What do you want?"
Scott sighed. How Lung of fWhip. "I need help locating a certain box for an acquaintance. Miss Ling brought him here so it's kind of important. But relics are not quite my cup of tea, but then I remembered a friend who has a nice collection," he said, giving up on playing with fWhip.
"Acquaintance? Lin Yühsia? Now that's interesting," fWhip mused.
"Mhm. I have no idea where she found an Ægir here," not that it was all that interesting to him.
"Why didn't she just go to Penguin Logistics? I'm sure they could find it easily."
"Maybe she needed some more... finesse?" Scott offered with a giggle. "They are certainly fun but I think the Ægir she dragged here would drop dead after just seeing them," he giggled setting a teacup in front of fWhip. Victorian make, of course, just to annoy him further.
"Maybe, but really... Did it have to be damn Siracusans you send? They're a pain to deal with," fWhip huffed, taking a sip. He said nothing so it had to be good.
"You're still here so not that bad," Scott did not regret sending assassins after fWhip. It always got him to his office. "So how about we leave the box for tomorrow, and spend the rest of today on..." he said as he settled next to fWhip, "...me apologising to you?" he finished, one hand resting on fWhip's thigh.
"Fine, but you have a lot to apologise for, I had to talk to L.G.D.'s  Madam Hoshiguma, I don't want to repeat that anytime soon..." fWhip sighed as he finished his tea. It was always fun to hear him indirectly complain about his height.

"put the icing DOWN." for Rulie plz and thank you
One thing that was widely known about Reggie was his voracious appetite. Alongside that was his pretty big sweet tooth-a sweet tooth that was currently craving something sugary.
But unfortunately it was also the day before they usually got groceries, so there was precious little to satisfy him. No cookies, no chocolate aside from the baking stuff that was not tasty in the slightest-Reggie had figured out that the wrong way.
He rummaged through the fridge-there was fruit, but that was the wrong kind of sweet. Frozen yogurt was a possibility, but it tended to give him brain freeze, and that outweighed it giving a sugar high.
Then he spied a bowl stuck in the back, and lifting the plastic wrap, he beamed. Bingo! A whole bowl of icing, cream cheese if his nose wasn't mistaken-his favourite.
He took it out, and debated getting a spoon, but he figured his fingers were good enough. He was about to stick one in but then he heard a cough from the doorway, and turning around he saw Julie glaring at him.
"Put the icing DOWN," she stated firmly.
"I wasn't gonna eat it all," he whined.
"That is for tia's birthday cake," Julie said. "So if you want to explain to her why her cake doesn't have icing, go right ahead."
Reggie shivered and quickly put the bowl back in the fridge. He loved Julie's aunt, don't get him wrong, but she was not to be trifled with, and no one got between Victoria Alvarez and her cake.
"Why were you going to eat the icing anyways?" Julie asked as she got a glass of juice to drink.
"Wanted something sweet, that was all I could find," Reggie admitted.
Julie hummed, her look still a little judgemental. "Well at least you didn't try to eat the cake."
"I didn't even see the cake," Reggie said quietly.
Julie opened the fridge and pulled out a big round thing covered in foil. "It needs to warm up just a little anyways. How about I frost it and you can lick the icing bowl when I'm done?"
"Got anything I can nibble on until then?" Reggie asked, then leered at Julie. "Or I can nibble on you."
"Maybe later sweetie," Julie replied. "But if you look all the way in the back of the cupboard, behind the spaghetti noodles, there might just be a package of Milanos hidden there."
"You have hidden cookies?" Reggie asked, hand to his heart, a mock gasp in his voice.
"With how often you get the munchies and snacky, do you blame me?" Julie asked him. "Be thankful I'm ling to share."
"You got any other hiding place?" Reggie asked as he took down the box, offering Julie a cookie before munching on his own.
"None I'm willing to tell you about," Julie replied before taking a bite of her cookie. "Now do you wanna help me ice the cake or start supper?"
"Supper, I took some chicken out this morning for a stir fry," Reggie replied. "Save me the bowl though."
"You know it," Julie replied, taking the icing out once more, and when Reggie turned away to wash his hands, swiped a finger full of the stuff, smiling at the sweet flavour.
Hey, what Reggie didn't know wouldn't hurt him. Plus maybe if she managed to save enough icing, they could have fun with the rest.
Though she wasn't able to look her tia in the eye when she proclaimed the icing the best part of the cake the next day. But the smile and small blush on Reggie's face was totally worth it.

Integrated Strategies 2: Crimson Solitaire Basics
Integrated Strategies 2 was the first permanent Integrated Strategies mode, and in a lot of ways it's a carryover/reskin of Integrated Strategies 1 (aka Ceobe's Fungimist). The theme of the mode is centered around Phantom and Shalem's history with the theater/assassination group the Crimson Troupe.
Difficulty
IS2 only has three difficulty settings:
Castle Sightseeing: This difficulty does not allow you to unlock different relics or ending, and halves the score you get at the end of a run. However, it starts you off with the Silent Squad relic, which increases your HP by 45% and your ATK/DEF by 35%. This is good if you want to get your feet wet a little bit, but it's not good overall.
Formal Investigation: This difficulty has no modifications at all, but allows you to unlock relics and gives you all of your score at the end of a run.
Calamity Faceoff: This difficulty gives you two different relics to start. The first relic will be a positive relic, but the second one will be a cursed relic that makes the run harder. This gives you a 20% bonus to your score, however. The cursed relic will be chosen from the following:
Ursus Chachek: Enemy HP/ATK/DEF are increased by 40%. Victoria Crown: Enemy HP/ATK/DEF are increased by 30%. Dreadful Foe Bosses have their HP increased by an additional 30%, and their ATK/DEF increased by an additional 15%. Leithenian Scepter: Enemy HP/ATK/DEF are increased by 30%. You will lose 1 HP whenever entering a node. Gaul Mantle: Enemy HP/ATK/DEF are increased by 25%. 4-star and higher operators cost 1 more Hope to recruit. Half-Refined Diamond: Enemy HP/ATK/DEF are increased by 25%. Command EXP gained is halved. Sigil of Tragodia: Enemy HP/ATK/DEF are increased by 30%. Unit Limit reduced by 2.
This does mean that higher difficulty runs in IS2 are essentially random in how buffs enemies and bosses are, as well as what secondary effects are present. You also are going to need to do a lot of hard mode runs if you want to get 100% of the collectible completion. I personally find this to suck and be a boring way of doing difficulty. But you might enjoy it!
Squads
It's time to discuss each squad in detail and how good I think it is in IS2.
Leader Squad: Gives you 4 bonus Life Points. These are temporary Life Points that you can't refill once they're gone, but you can stack more and more of them. This squad honestly isn't particularly good. There's no real penalty for losing Life Points in IS2 and you can't leverage Bonus Life Points in the nodes that want Life Points.
Gathering Squad: Gives you 2 Squad Limit and 2 Deployment Limit. This squad is okay, but nothing great. It's a good squad to choose if you want an early headstart on your deployment limit for an operator like Ling who appreciates the extra Deployment Limit, but the squad doesn't offer a ton of upside.
Support Squad: Gives you +20 Originium Ingots and +2 Hope. This squad is quite nice for having a cushion so you can donate money to the shop, and the extra 2 Hope can be quite advantageous early on, but this squad's benefits are very finite.
Spearhead Squad: Sets your Life Points to 1, but gives you +15% HP and ATK. This one I actually think it's quite good. It's a bit risky since you are immediately set to leak an enemy and die, but the statistical improvement is quite nice and it can be pretty easy to get extra Life Points in a run.
Tactical Squads: Each Tactical Squad has the same effect in IS2, where 4-star and higher operators of the squads two classes are recruited instantly promoted. (Guard and Vanguard for Assault; Defender and Supporter for Fortification; Medic and Sniper for Ranged; Caster and Specialist for Destruction). All of these squads are amazing, and are generally considered the most powerful squads. You save on a lot of hope overall by not needing to promote, but it also reduces the RNG needed to get access to powerful operators. Starting with an instantly promoted Thorns feels great.
Research Squad: Starts with +2 Life Points and gives +30% Command EXP. This squad isn't bad. The extra Command EXP allows you to grab earlier Command levels and get more Hope sooner. I'd rate this one about the same as the Spearhead Squad in all honestly.
First-Class Squad: Start off with an additional Elite Recruitment Voucher. This will be a voucher that gives you a guaranteed 4-star temporary recruit and personally I think this squad is the weakest of the bunch. The additional Temporary Recruitment is not a big benefit really since it can only be 4-stars. It ultimately won't amount to much.
Plays
Plays are one of the unique mechanics to IS2. Every so often a play will drop from one of the combat nodes. These will give you a one-time boon at a corresponding node. Some of these are quite powerful, while others are rather weak. Their primary purpose is to add an additional factor into deciding how to plan your route out. Since these are completely random and somewhat uncommon, you'll usually weigh them up as you please rather than worrying about getting any specific one.
Something to note briefly is that plays aren't sanity-tested. This means that it is entirely possible to get a play for a node you cannot access on that floor. This sucks, but there is nothing you can do about it.
Hallucinations
These are randomly occurring modifiers to the floor you are on. The effects range from overall positive to quite bad, and I'll list them here since they're relative simple in nature.
Bewildered: The floor is two nodes longer, and each node can have more branches, up to four. This one is almost always entirely positive, causing a floor to reap more rewards, and since more nodes will spawn, the chances of any particular node showing up on a floor is increased.
Blind: Nodes are not visible on the map until you are able to reach them. This one is annoying but can be mostly circumnavigated by simply choosing the node with the most branches.
Enraged: Combat operations spawn more often. This one is mostly positive but can be frustrating for those looking to go to the alternate endings, as the extra combat operations can take the place of encounters you need.
Solitary: Hope required to recruit operators is increased by 1, but the Hope required to promote operations is reduced by 1. This one is actually quite frustrating, as getting to benefit from the promotion hope discount is a generally rarer occurrence than needing to recruit more ops. It does make promoting 4-star operators free though.
Obsessed: Entering a node will generate one additional Originium Ingot, but all extra ingots gained this way are removed at the end of the floor. This hallucination is mostly irrelevant, since you can't guarantee you will have a way to actually use the ingots when you get them. There's no downside though.
Sensitive: Life Point loss and Life Point gain are doubled. This one is actually, in my opinion, pretty not great. It's not super consistent in IS2 that you actually gain life, and this makes leaking really rough. This can go in your favor and put you way ahead, but it also has the possibility of killing the run. Knowing where you can easily gain Life Points is vital here.
Imagined: Enemy HP/ATK/DEF are increased by 10%. This one isn't super important, and it mainly exists to make some bosses a little bit more annoying. This is at its roughest early on.
Survivalist: Enemies and allies get +50 ASPD and +50% ATK, but take True damage while deployed (50 for allies, 150 for enemies). Dreadful Foe Bosses are immune. This one has some ups and downs. Many operations early on can actually be cleared by this hallucination's True damage alone, especially if you get Civilight Eterna, but if you missed getting a Medic this can make stages extremely hard. I would say this is usually positive for you though.
Cautious: Deployment Limit -1, Squad Size +1. Overall not really impactful. Deployment limit is the less impactful of the two stats so it ends up being slightly positive usually.
Nodes
IS2 does not have any unique node types to it, having the standard set and nothing more. The one major difference in IS2 that is going to be immediately comparable to other themes though is the Boons node. This serves the same function as the Wish Fulfilled nodes in later themes, but Boons nodes are strictly worse.
There are two versions of the Boons node. The first only has one option to get a random Collectible, while the second gives you two options. The second Boon node is the better, since the first option will guarantee a Rare or Super Rare Collectible. It doesn't tell you that's how it works, but always choose the top choice.
Endings
There are four endings to IS2, and there is an order to unlocking them. To get to Ending 2, you must complete a run having seen Ending 1, and to get to Ending 3, you must complete a run having seen Ending 2. This is NOT true of Ending 4, while only requires you to have completed one run period.
Ending 1 requires you to fight Lucian, "Blood Diamond" as the final boss, and is the default ending type of IS2. There is no requirements to see this ending.
Ending 2 requires you to come across the Reprieve? encounter, and choosing to get closer to the painting at the cost of 1 Hope. This will give you the Worn-Out Puppet Collectible, and require you to fight Big Sad Lock as your final boss.
Ending 3 has multiple requirements. You must first discover the Attending a Banquet encounter, and choose to get a free outfit. This will give you the Mantle of the Wrongly Condemned Collectible, which makes your operators cost 2 more DP to deploy, but unlocks the next requirement. After beating the Floor 3 midboss, you must take the Stand-In Actor Collectible that appears over the other. It gives you a 3% HP/ATK/DEF buff and unlocks the final requirement. You must find the A Gathering of Followers encounter that will give you the Abrupt Realization relic, which reduces the DP cost of your operators by 3 and increases their Max HP/ATK/DEF by 5%.
This is one of the hardest endings in all of IS to actually get to and accomplish. You have to find two random encounters which are not guaranteed to spawn, and you have to give up a Super Rare Collectible on the midboss. Until you get Abrupt Realization, your operators will also cost more DP, and if you miss the final relic, that can impact your entire run. But doing so will allow you to fight the Troupe Mouthpiece and complete the third ending.
Ending 4 has two requirements to it. You must first come across the Don't disturb them encounter, and go into the fight it causes, Bound by Self. Winning this fight rewards you with the Dance of the Condemned Collectible, which reduces your Redeployment Time by 10%. Then, you need to find the Revenge Story encounter, beat the Observation battle that encounter causes, and get the Act I Collectible, which gives you 3 Hope.
This is another random ending and the two combat nodes can be fairly difficult if encountered too early. Doing this will allow you to fight against the Playwright as your final boss and see the final ending.
Next we're going to go into more detail on all of the nodes you can face in IS2, and I'll provide my tips on the various operations you can find.

Last Ling Tag/Heads Up 7 Up
Thanks to the @theunboundwriter for tagging me.
I will gently tag @cljordan-imperium @clairelsonao3 @gummybugg (for the Heads Up 7 Up one) and an open tag for anyone!
“Oh! Okay, I love this character of yours. Tegan Raines,” Chloe glanced up from the notebook. “Strong but there is weakness. Super relatable along with a bit mysterious, if that makes sense. Among many other things.” She scrunched up her face. “Perhaps a bit too descriptive as a whole? More of a personal taste thing in my opinion. I love it, though.” “Your prose flows like a beautiful river. An unceasing rhythm and pace,” Victoria did her best to not sound like an adoring fan. “The whole story is just great. Hard to find fault. Maybe it's a bit too short? Maybe expand upon it just a bit?”
