"Gods damn it! Don't you fuck this up!"
Grandpa Baul no! He's facing off against 15 enemies ALONE, because he wants to make sure that both Eggleus and Lilia are safe omfg
"I am Baul Zigvolt!! This royal guard of the proud Kingdom of Thorns shall face you alone! Those who wish to be annihilated by my axe, step forward!"
"Hu-- Humans?! Why are they on the fae's side?!"
"Human or fae, it doesn't matter! We simply do not like you louts! Therefore we fight!!"
Grim: "What he said! We ain't care no matter who it is, we just beat up who we don't like! That's the Night Raven College way!"

imagine how aegon felt when he realized how he’d out aged the brothers he’d worshipped all his life. when he turned 13, then 14, then 16. the realization that he would go on to become a glimpse of what those boys hoped to be, of what he wished they would have become.
how he kept aging and they forever stayed 12, 13, and 15. stone figures lost to time. how he probably blamed himself for rhaenyra and jace’s deaths. if he’d been strong enough to save viserys, if he’d just noticed the trap sooner (he was only a child). how he wore black for the rest of his life. how he turned 33, then 34, and knew now that he had lived longer than his own mother (how he would never go on to live longer than his father).

Leo literally heard Splinter's saying of:
"The first rule of being a ninja is 'Do not harm.' Unless you mean to do harm, then do lots of harm."
At least once, and he's been living by this saying ever since.

has there been a time where spinners shown actually killing anyone on-panel/screen? i feel like we havent really seen his “violent” or “evil” side much at all
Nope! iirc, we've never seen Spinner outright kill someone on-panel/onscreen. The closest we get is in My Villain Academia, where he's just one more League member massacring the CRC, though we don't actually see him performing the act:
In the beginning of Chapter 220, Twice, Toga, Compress, and Shigaraki are all messily killing/injuring the CRC people, but in Spinner's panel, we don't see a victim, or even blood.
On the next page, we see him standing among bodies, but we can't be sure that he actually killed anyone. It's at most implied.
Later during the Deika battle, in Chapter 233, he does slice at one attacker in what appears to be the neck area:
No idea if that man survived.
But even in the Deika battle, he doesn't seem to have actually killed anyone, or even "taken a single one out," as pointed out by Dabi in Chapter 227.
When Chapter 372 of the heteromorph mini-arc occurred, people accused Spinner of running over and killing the human chain of doctors and nurses, but as I point out in this post, he was heading in the exact opposite direction of where the medical workers were standing, so no one died there either. Wasn't even injured! Proven correct in Chapter 424, where Bakugou's doctors is one of those in the human chain and is okay:
The most violent Spinner has been is during the Training Camp Raid, where he shows up stepping on an injured Pixie-Bob (who was attacked by Magne), attacks Mandalay with his Super Knife-Knife Sword, and threatens Heroes and Iida with purging.
There is of course him having never protested Shigaraki's destruction or the PLF's plots or done more than given a grimace at Machia's rampage, where surely died/would've died in those events.
Other than that... Yeah, compared to the League, Spinner doesn't have much of a violent/evil side, and actions are consistent with someone who had no criminal record in his 20 years of life until joining the League.
Thanks for the ask!

Sorry for the long winded question, but I think in a long time ask you said nikke falls flat on his face for reverse psychology, so if a commander is telling him to stab/kill them and egging him on to do it—would that make him not want to?
Nikke is like a bug I want to study under a microscope with his wacky lil brain-sorry again for the weird ask!
That is the only case where Nikke would, in fact, only be spurred to do it more. MC would be like "Do it, you coward," and Nikke would just be like, "okay <3"

and i know the earthmovers were largely dependent on solar power but they were blood fueled too and what i wanna knowis how the FUCK do you get enough blood to power even a FRACTION of that thing
NO BUT FOR REAL.....it's terrifying that those things were even a LITTLE powered by blood at their size. i have to think it's largely to power its core rather than the large machinations of it, but i think it stands as a testament to the absolute meat grinder the world had become. they likely had some way of recouping the blood loss that occurred when they leveled entire cities and that's what it would take to power them...and it's just. insane to think of the captive populations that hitched a ride on them. they keep moving forward, smashing anything left to pieces without really any direction. as long as there is sun and blood, they will keep moving - and no one can stop them, since others are out there. no one even knows who they're killing anymore, if it's their "enemies" or their own neighbors, yet they must have been so numb to violence by then that all they cared about was the earthmover always being fed enough to keep its lucky passengers alive.

Hi!! I don't know if you remember me, but I'm the person you explained the Castalia thing to a few days ago. I've been following you for a while now, but I just managed to go through your blog well and proper, and I'm here to express both my gratitude for the amount of info and links you've shared (I did NOT know about the hepatoscopy and haruspicy, and I'm about to go down a lengthy rabbit hole) and my horror at once again being given a new hyperfixation (I didn't imagine wanting to read about liver-divination help).
Also, also, are you the author of Exeunt Phoebus Apollo on AO3 because that was the fic that sent me on this greek mythology spree, and it's so good I got obsessed with Apollo, and he's everywhere around me now. Thank you for writing it!
AAAAAA THIS IS SO SWEET?? THANK YOU!! I do remember you and hey man, I'm always happy to help <33
I'm so glad to recruit someone else to my hepatoscopy group because it is a long and storied tradition with many many different types of study and schools of thought dating all the way back to the Sumerians! It's an extremely underrated bit of study when it comes to sketching portraits of divination and prophecy when it comes to adaptations of imaginings of greek myth works - similar to bird augury (which was such a widespread skill that most people had some level of understanding of the basics of what the omens of common birds meant the way people now can look at the clouds over head and know if it'll rain and when approximately that rain'll happen).
It's a great and common misunderstanding that things like prophecy and magic were these fantastic elements that had no tangible features to their practices and while there's nothing wrong with interpreting things as more fantastical for the sake of coolness or aesthetic, I personally think these elements are interesting enough to be worth looking into and portraying!
Also yes, I did write Exeunt 😳I'm very very honoured that you enjoyed my work so much and I'm even more grateful that it could let you see the Apollo in everything 💖 Thank you for reading it!!

James, my love, I am permanently of the mindset that my favs are verse/switch unless explicitly stated otherwise. So tell me, for the violence asks, why your fav wouldn’t top/bottom 😘
I'm also of the verse mindset, but I'll do my best to argue why Eddie would never top.
I think Eddie would initially try topping - maybe because he's a little intimidated? idk - and it would feel good, but then his partner(s) would suggest bottoming and he'd tentatively agree. And it would probably be a little scary to begin with, especially if Eddie feels as though he's relinquishing control (which I think is something he definitely struggles with) but then he realises how fucking good it feels. Plus once he figures out that he can still bottom and be in control (get 'em cowboy) it would be all over for him again. He'd love trying to get himself to tip over the edge without something touching his cock, he'd love the look on his partners face as he flips them onto their back and slowly sink down on them, he'd love the feeling of being worked open and fucked so hard that the next time they could just slip in with ease, and do not even get him started on the magic that is one's prostate. I think he'd just love it and take to it like a duck to water.
Choose violence asks!

i can't take the posts about "this is only gonna energize the right wing!" seriously bc like, you're talking about the same right wingers who broke into nancy pelosi's house and attacked her husband, tried to kidnap and assassinate gretchen whitmer, stalked and physically threatened poll workers in georgia, and stormed the actual capitol in attempt to kill people in congress (among other acts of domestic terrorism)? bc they were soooo chill before

Something about this interaction between Harry & Janeway - specifically Janeway but it's notable that Harry's the one listening because I think, say, Chakotay or B'Elanna might push back against the idolization of this 'it was different back in those days' way of thinking.

I can't believe I went to sleep and missed whatever the fuck that was in the cooldown room XD
RBR must be putting something in the water...
Between Max's embarrassing rival crush, Checo's third wheel PTSD, and Helmut Marko's Charlie nightmares, I think Red Bull might just implode if Charles winks their way at this point.
