Robin absolutely loves reading stories to the child. Specifically ones that she herself had heard as a kid. She loves seeing the child’s face light up with delight when she pulls out a story.

Robin is also very good at dealing with any nightmares that the child has. After the Buster call that destroyed her island, Robin has had her fair share of nightmares. So when her kid has any nightmares, she’s the first to come and help soothe them.

Living with Robin means living with the Straw Hats, and Robin assures the child that the crew won’t let anything bad happen to them as long as they’re here, being sure to tell them the tale of her own rescue from Enies Lobby and getting a firsthand account of Luffy punching the Celestial Dragon.

When things get rough and they feel overwhelmed or scared, Robin teaches a very special trick from an old friend. “When times are tough, just laugh like Jaguar D. Saul.” And when they start crying, or they’re scared, she tries to do the laugh to cheer them up.

Pet names I think Strawhat's would call an SO (Gender neutral):

This is all very fluffy but also in general not something I usually do, I was just having a bad day and started thinking about this to cheer me up and thought why not post.

Luffy: You are his treasure. This comes from his song 'Wanted' and while he himself didn't sing that part as it was backing singers, I still think it's cute. I can also see him calling you his anchor and I have no actual base for that save for I think it's something he'd do. Lastly for him, he would call you something based on physical appearance that, upon meeting him for the first time probably pissed you off but now cos it felt rude, you find it endearing in a way.

Zoro: He's not big on pet names so you don't hear them a lot now. That being said, he would call you blossom in more romantic situations or Saya in more casual day to day talks or if he's teasing you. A Saya is the Japanese term specifically refering to the scabbard for a sword or knife but can also be used as a name, means 'swift arrow'. That parts not important here, I just think it's neat.

Nami: I feel like she'd call you cloud or bubble, something soft like that but also something silly like berry for both fruit and you are important to her thus can all be placed under one group name. Berry is also both 4Kids, Viz, and Funimation translations for the money system in op so that also helps it

Usopp: His took the longest for he to think of and I think that's because he's not really good at romances in my eyes. It either gose over his head or he freezes up. I think he'd go for goofy ones like love bug or he would also used royal titles for you and hype you up a lot instead of names.

Sanji: Along side the near endless list of typical names like baby, sweetheart, dearest, my love ect that will surely be said at least once a day, Sanji will call you his blackcurrant, chocolate, biscuit and possibly even little rouge if you blush easily like I do. These comes from his character song 'Moulin Rouge!', my favourite song of his that I play when cooking to calm my pyrophobia 😅

Vivi: She's gonna call you her duckling and her sandcastle. I don't need to say more because she would.

Robin: Okay so she'll call you flower petal but she will also say things like 'you are going to kill me' and 'i would die to keep you safe' with no emotion behind it just to freak people out. Luffy, Sanji and Usopp hate it a lot but it makes you laugh so she won't stop.

Franky: This man is gonna start out by calling you his super freak or something very very strange to test the waters on what his boundaries are with silly names and it's just gonna get worse from here. If you date Franky, you will both end up with pet names that end up making no sense at all like 'seagull' or 'pocketknife' because of something that happened once that you both found funny. I think I'm a more romantic sense he's gonna call you his star or the first letter of your name.

Brook: You're his songbird, his sunshine and his heart / Kokoro as he doesn't have one in a literal sense. A long side these, I also feel like he would use some more traditional names and will definitely write you songs a lot.

I skipped Chopper because he 100% would never call you a pet name anyway. Max you get is called a bitch whiles he's blushing and shy wiggleing plus he's very child-coded so I don't feel comfortable with that anyway.

Okay I know that first thoughts might be “Gift Giving” And I think that she would probably enjoy that BUT I think her really TRUE love language is acts of service.

Literally like just doing something small for her like picking up on one of her chores when she’s feeling under the weather (no pun intended….)

Like she finds out you pruned the tangerine trees for her and weeded around their bases and she would be elated that you care enough to take care of something she cares about so much.

Quality time is also really important for her. She just wants to be around you but doing her own thing sometimes.

I don’t think shes the touchy-ist person so you’d have to be okay with that. She wouldn’t be physically clingy at all.

VIVI

Not to make them match but hers is also acts of service.

She tries to be independent bc she’s a Princess but doesn’t want to be pampered or waited on hand and foot.

BUT surprise her with a thoughtful homecooked meal or give her a hand with hanging up the laundry and do it together. Those little things can mean a lot to her coming from who she loves.

She also is a bit of a crybaby so physical touch in the aspect of giving her a shoulder to cry on and some attention with it would be important to making her feel loved.

She’s not afraid to do these things back for you by any means. She would probably do lots of little things that you might not notice but would add up to giving you a better quality of life.

ROBIN

A woman of few words, she both needs to hear words of affirmation, and any that come from her would mean a lot because she thinks carefully before she speaks.

She would take a lot to open up fully to someone and learn to love and trust them, and kind words and encouragement would do her a world of good in that respect. She needs to be loved so much and reminded of it.

Touch is a big one for her too. I think she would love to hold hands, and even if her hands were full, she could always sprout a new one so that she could still touch you.

She might sometimes be impatient about receiving physical touch back, but not everyone can just grow extra arms, Robin. She would settle for touching you, a hand rubbing your back or knee. Touching helps her feel grounded.

BOA

Words of affirmation.

She’s literally got a power that makes people fall for her, but a real true compliment or loving thought and she would melt.

She needs the positive love about her past and the care and thought that you could give her without being under the spell of her devil fruit.

She would also be so keen on giving out compliments or cheering you on if she loved you. She would shower you with compliments and soft words.

Physical Touch as well, She would love to be close to you. Especially nonsexual intimacy. Skin on skin and the intimacy of it would mean a lot to her, especially if you weren’t trying to have sex with her.

Like in the same vein-- washing her back in the bath. Brushing her hair.

PERONA

Gift giving!! She would collect so many things to bring you if you had been apart for a while. Imagine not seeing her for a month and she shows up with a chest full of plush toys, cute outfits, packaged snacks, and little trinkets.

during a battle, nami will always protect you; although it’s from a distance. having a strong S/O like you is perfect for match for her, she needs someone to keep the enemies at bay while she runs & hides.

nami only cooks for people she loves, so when she pops up and hands you a plate of food, you’ll know how much she loves being with you.

Vivi honestly loves the simple things, especially when exchanging gifts. However, when she finds out how much you spent on her gift; she makes it a small competition to top off your gift.

I'm opening this edition with my older queer-related requests before I will move to the newest batch (with exception of two scenarios that will be published at the very end). So - sorry for the super long wait, but it finally is here!

Introducing her girlfriend to her father

Character: Vivi Reader: female (trans inclusive) CW: vague mention of pregnancy & parenthood

To keep the long story short, Vivi is… stressed.

Not because of a potential bigotry - oh no, she is sure she’s not going to have this kind of reaction. She grew up in a very liberal -for a monarchy- environment and as the only heir she was always allowed more than other aristocrats. Besides, she already did a test, mentioning here and there she’s currently interested in someone of the same gender and her father reacted with nothing else than enthusiastic curiosity.

But on the other hand - introducing her girlfriend to her father means she’s going to make an official statement in front of the whole country, if not in front of the World Government as well. The older she gets, the hotter becomes the topic of her marriage. Of course, everyone will have their eyes on her partner, as soon as she officially appears at the Nefertari court.

Which means, Vivi is going to kick the nest of very hyperactive hornets. Because even if her girlfriend is trans and still capable of making her pregnant, even if there always is a possibility to adopt, it would nonetheless leave the door open for controverting the right for the crown for any kid whom Vivi would raise as her heir.

And as a royal, Vivi is well aware that leaving a sure, not questionable heir is her biggest duty. For the country's safety.

As always when she’s overthinking and stressing herself out, Vivi misses the most easy solution - so it’s her girlfriend who has to suggest they can simply sneak to the palace in secret and let king Kobra meet her in private. Official statements can be left for later and consulted with more experienced politicians. First they should meet as a family.

Even though, Vivi needs a lot of coaxing and reassurance from her girlfriend to soothe her dutiful anxiety. She doesn’t feel it’s right to sneak her partner to her house as if she was helping a pirate to get away with their loot. Her girlfriend deserves recognition, a proper introduction ceremony. They shouldn’t hide just because they are in a same gender relationship. On the other hand, the backlash of such a decision… Vivi is sure she can handle the commotions, but hates the thought of her girlfriend having to bear the same stress. Whichever turn her mind takes, she sees problems and difficulties piling in front of them. Her girlfriend needs to be patient with her. Vivi is strong, just needs time to make up her mind and settle on one goal. Time she would gladly spend in her partner’s arms, cuddling the anxiety away.

Eventually Vivi agrees with her plan and decides to introduce her in secret from anyone but the king and a few chosen and trusted advisers. The girlfriend arrives at the palace as a servant and is led to private chambers, where the royal family finds their rest from the world and their duties. There Vivi’s trusted servants change her clothes for a more suitable outfit before she can meet with Vivi herself.

Despite being rather passive and anxious in the beginning of the whole operation, Vivi -once she’s in a familiar environment and knows what she should do- takes the initiative. She leads her girlfriend arm in arm to the king's chamber, holding her as close as modesty allows, so she can soothe her nerves with her soft touch. She’s doing most of the speaking, more used to the oficial tone of the court - but always makes sure to not talk over her partner. After all, she’s here to meet Vivi’s family.

After the first tense moments, the meeting turns out more domestic and cozy than anyone could suspect. Kobra, despite similar worries he has since the day he learnt his daughter is dating a woman, quickly warms up to Vivi’s girlfriend and switches the role of the king for the role of the father. Even with the tension easing, Vivi holds her partner’s hand in hers all the time, sometimes rubbing soothing circles on her palm. She’s proud and happy of how the things turn out, how her partner is making good on expectations, how her father shows her acceptance and approval. If she still has some anxiety in the back of her head, she quickly pushes it out of her mind. Problems can be considered later, now it’s time to celebrate as a family.

As soon as they are left alone, Vivi simply jumps into her girlfriend’s arms and steals a happy and passionate kiss from her. She’s so excited because of a successful trick she’s shaking and crying a little bit, because she can’t handle so many positive emotions. There’s also a lot of relief in her touch and words - she can’t hide it, of course she’s relieved the love of her life was accepted into the family, despite the great risks. She gets so absorbed with showing her affection that Igaram has to gently remind her about the secret behind the whole operation.

Vivi’s girlfriend is not allowed to leave the palace before the night ends. Vivi is having none of that, she wants to sleep in her arms as she’s still not over the happiness. Still, no sleep takes place as Vivi is just bursting with excitement and acts her age probably for the first time since she left the Strawhats. She can’t help it. She is now sure she can show her love to the whole world with her family’s support.
