Like Idiots.
Tumblr media
includes— hawks x reader. fluff. minors dni.
warnings— gn!reader. pining like idiots. keigo is a pain in the ass. the reader is worse. i had fun with this. <3
Tumblr media
There is zero need for Keigo to make a confession when it comes to his crush. It would be entirely redundant to confess.
Your sigh at the thought is palpable. It really is quite a shame.
Part of you yearns for that passionate drama of an ending, where in some novela-inspired twist of fate, your adoring knight is forced to spill his love at your feet. In your daydreams— the ones dreadfully reminiscent of some lovelorn teenager's— a faceless villain from fuck-all-nowhere nearly ends the life of his beloved hero partner.
And the words spill from his throat like his lovesick sobs, clutching you close to his chest while you do your best to pretend you're not biting back a smile at the attention.
"I love you! I've always loved you," he'd cry.
Or something like that.
And you'd kiss, and sparks would fly, or whatever.
End scene.
You're not getting that confession, though.
It figures your love life would turn out to be a comedy. Par for the course of your life, you suppose.
Instead of a scrawled letter sealed with wax or a poem whispered under the imposing moonlight, your confession is written all over Keigo's face— well, not all over, exactly. Every centimeter of his face conceals his emotions meticulously, flawlessly.
Every portion of his face is perfectly practiced and impeccably controlled; except for two measly little points.
You prod at your food again with your fork in hand, all frowns as you sit across from your work partner in a booth at the diner he likes to drag you to on your lunch breaks.
And you stare uncomfortably into the most cartoonishly blown pupils you've ever seen.
"Um. Hawks?"
"Yeah? What's up, chickadee," he asks sincerely before chomping down messily on a battered chicken drum, moaning and letting his eyes fall shut as he does with every meal— typically an obstacle for your focus, this accidentally whorish display is actually a welcome reprieve from your racing thoughts.
When his eyes flutter open once more, you're faced once again with black saucers and the sound of reckless chewing. His pupils are still dilated like a cat tripping balls on the dealer's finest catnip.
"Hawks, I really think I should tell you that—"
Your intervention is rudely interrupted by a waitress in a 50's style apron and folded paper hat combo, likely rushing over notepad in hand to get first dibs on serving a celebrity.
You would prefer to be unfair. It'd be easier to displace your frustration for your lot in life onto this poor woman, to tell her that her hat looks stupid and pink isn't her color, that she should really just stop trying.
You decide to be an adult.
Keigo, on the other hand, does not. Like a child given free reign to order for himself at a restaurant for the first time, he explains that she should really heap on the sugar for his coffee.
"No, no, no. More than that. Like syrup. I want it to taste like it's gonna put me in an early grave and— wait, where are you going?"
The debacle brings to attention another phenomenon that you've grown accustomed to seeing:
The second his gaze meets her's, Keigo's pupils shrink to points once more, constricting to tight dots before bouncing back to their natural size. And predictably, once again, they expand like blown glass when you catch his attention.
"Hawks!"
"Yeah, what?"
His chewing ceases obnoxiously, chicken drum in his right hand and half-chewed remains in his left cheek.
You might as well rip it off like a bandaid. You let out a puff of air.
"Your eyes," you attempt to gently point out.
"Mm?" Keigo's head tilts to the side, pondering your observation for a moment.
"My eyes? Ohh," he drags his words as if in realization, treating himself to another chomp into the drumstick. "You gettin' lost in them, huh? Happens, dove. You can stare, I don't mind."
"No!" You squeak out your denial before smoothing down your shirt and tipping your chin high.
You have the upper hand here. Remember that.
"I mean," you correct your course, staring down and poking at your plate while a smile creeps up your lips. "It's kinda hard not to when your pupils look like they're gonna swallow your goddamn irises."
The silence that follows is deafening.
"Kei'?" You flick your gaze up toward him, worried now.
Under normal circumstances, it's an established habit for Keigo to slot one palm over his mouth when called out.
But this time, that hand bypasses his lips, crawling upward to reach his visor and wordlessly drag it down over the source of his shame.
A stronger person than you would hold back their laughter. They would take pity on the flush rising over his cheeks and neck like sunsets. Perhaps they would coo praises to soothe him, or even take it all back to ease the shame and discomfort that makes him feel utterly naked.
They would take pity on the man who, under the fluorescent high beams bolted to the diner's ceiling, looks just like a clown tripping on stage with the spotlight shined on his face.
You are not a strong person.
In your hysterics, you reach over to pry the barrier off his eyes, climbing into his lap and over him like tussling teenagers.
"Keigo, I didn't say it was a bad thing—"
"You're laughing," he laments like a kicked puppy, prying your face an arm's length from his with a single palm.
It's over. This is it for him. His life is over, he's going to have to change his identity.
He can start fresh with a new hero name, one not centered around red-tailed hawks— he'll need to rebrand as another bird, most likely. Preferably one with the same signature red feathers so as not to make a fuss for the merch department.
Maybe a parrot.
Winged-Hero Parrots.
"You're laughing at me!"
"I'm not laughing at—" another uncontrollable wheeze. His wings flap in indignance once, slamming against the cushions of the pink diner seat before drooping down like a dog's tail between its legs. You pluck the visor and raise it above your head out of arm's reach, one hand planted against his chest for stability.
"Not laughing at you! Baby, I promise—"
"Baby?" He repeats.
The silence is worse the second time around— but luckily for you, Keigo is a stronger person than you are. No laughter erupts from his chest, no smirk settles on his face.
If anything, your slip up seems to elevate his heart rate more than yours.
"We really should—"
"I think we need to—"
Both sentences collide in the small space between you, his lips completely still and mere inches away from yours.
You're reminded of the feeling of your fingertips about to touch metal after being charged with static, the skin crackling with the air's tension as you contemplate whether to just get it over with and touch.
And slowly, as if suddenly cognizant of your bodies and environment, you both crawl off each other and scoot toward the furthest edges of the booth seat.
Your knees make their way toward your chest for comfort, while Keigo's wings drape over his shoulders like a cocoon.
"We should talk."

Hi, I really like making little personalized references for characters I like when I get into things! I do this to figure out how I wanna draw them, and is a recent-ish development that I haven’t done a lot, but I really like character design and thinking about them! So I made some for Siffrin. How fun!
DO NOTE THAT THIS WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR LATER PARTS OF THE GAME. I did obviously tag it as such for the sake of others and it will be further down, but I figured I’d still warn you just in case. <:3
Now, without further ado, here’s “reference one!”
Tumblr media
I’m personally gonna be using this in conjunction with Siffrin’s actual reference sheet (which I refer to as “notes” in mine!!) to make sure he look his best! I also wanted to make sure they’re “in line with canon,” yet still in my style and in a way I can be proud of.
Which isn’t that hard, since I’m usually always proud of my own work. I just like my own stuff. <:3
Due to the brim of his hat allegedly being bean-shaped (teehee), I thought it’d be fun if I carried that over to his torso/body. It’s not noticeable with a cloak in the way, nor when Siffrin’s standing straight up. Basically, the bean shape would only be revealed in certain poses.
(Coming up with that also made me say “Whoops! All beans!” out loud about Siffrin, btw.)
Additionally, I like giving characters is their own set of fangs. One character I draw has a gap between them and the rest of their teeth, one has prominent ones to make them more cat like on purpose — and for Siffrin, I decided to give them rounded ones.
I usually make fangs razor sharp, because I really like big ol chompers like that, so them being round is definitely a very unique thing for Siffrin to have. Well, at least at first.
I’m also a really big fan of certain design elements sticking around after something wild happens to characters… which brings us to “reference two.”
Tumblr media
Well, if you’re not gonna be able to find any good references for this version of Siffrin, you might as well make your own, right??
The major thing I wanted to do with this Siffrin was to have him still feel like himself, but also give him somewhat of a unique design in comparison — by playing up elements I noticed during this scene.
Making this Siffrin feel as giant as they are was important to me. I went ahead and made their hat, face, hair and cloak longer. Made their shoulders broader, had them hunch over so they’d practically loom over everyone. Trying to appear smaller while still being an obstacle. Wanting everyone to stay here. Wanting their family.
I noticed that a lot of Siffrin’s hair seemed a lot more angular here, so I felt it crucial to use those shapes, but going a couple steps further and using them for his face as well… primarily his mouth and chin, of course. Which meant replacing those rounded fangs I gave him with a full set of sharper ones.
(I also wanted them to look like they’re too big for Siffrin’s mouth, so two of them — well, four? — will always peek out/fall past their lower lip. It’s like their teeth are not a comfortable fit whatsoever and it makes talking feel weird, but they manage.)
(They stick around after Siffrin “reverts back” or whatever we’re calling it. He never gets his round fangs back, but at least the ones he has now serve as a reminder that he got to the end. Might take some getting used to, though.)
(I also tried making their brows look a bit more angular? Can’t tell if they really come across that way.)
ANYWAY, I THINK I SHOULD STOP HAHAHA. I could go on and on all day, but I got other things to do and I think I’ve already explained enough! Just know that I get a kick out of putting love and care into character thoughts and designs. <:3

You lay next to Bakugou as he slept. Your body nestled comfortably under the warm blankets, he was almost naked, as he only had on boxers as he laid on top of the covers to feel the coolness of the fan that was in the corner of his room. His body was hot; every time you touched his back, you were stunned at how warm he was.
He was a peaceful sleeper to your surprise. Despite knowing it for a while, it still shocked you just how less intimidating he looked. His snores were faint, and his chest would rise up and down slowly as he took in deep breaths. All you did was smile.
It was late at night, well past midnight. The room was shrouded in darkness, except for the faint glow of the moon that seeped through the curtains. You had decided to stay over for the night since you didn’t think it would be safe to drive home in the dark. Bakugou suggested the idea of course.
“I don’t want you driving at night,” he said sternly. “It’s dangerous I don’t want anything to happen to you.”
Well, that’s how you liked to recall it. Really, it was: “You’re not leaving.” When you opened your mouth to insist, he just glared at you. His scarlet-colored eyes made you shut up instantly.
You didn't even realize that he'd only kept you there to fuck. But even if you did know, you wouldn't deny him. You would always give in to his touch, responding to his touch in a way that nobody would ever be able to make happen besides him. It was like love.
You were awake, in your undergarments, running your fingers through his soft hair. Everything was comfortable until intense thirst crept up on you. You shifted in bed, careful not to disturb Bakugou, until you realized that you couldn't ignore your thirst any longer. You gently untangled yourself from the sheets, being as quiet as a mouse, and slowly slid out of the bed.
Every movement was calculated, as you tiptoed toward the bedroom door. You'd spent enough time at his house to know your way around in the dark. You navigated through the room with ease, being careful to avoid any potential obstacles that could out your presence. You'd made up your mind to get a glass of water from the kitchen, but the main operation on your mind was to not wake Bakugou by accident.
Taking slow, deliberate steps, you glided through the hallway, your ears perking up for any sound that might indicate Bakugou stirring. The house was quiet, except for the faint hum of the fridge and your footsteps. You reached the kitchen unscathed and let out a sigh of relief as you switched on the softest light.
Your gaze fell on the cupboard where the glasses were kept. You gently pulled it open, wincing slightly at the faint creaking sound. Your fingers brushed against the cool glass as you selected a cup, being careful not to clatter it against anything.
You recognized that cup. It was a cute one, with children's stickers on it. It was Bakugou's from when he was a kid. A gift his mother gave to him, you remembered Kirishima showed it to you when you were trying to get intel on Bakugou. With the cup in hand, you turned toward to fridge to grab the filtered water dispenser.
The soft sound of the water being poured filled the silence. You watched as the water flowed into the cup, your mind momentarily drifting to the peacefulness of the night. The thirst that had gnawed at you earlier had seemed to fade away.
With your thirst quenched, you silently placed the glass on the counter. You paused for a moment, considering whether to grab a snack as well, but ultimately decided against it.
You suddenly heard a rustling noise and froze. You turned slowly and saw that it was just Kirishima. His looked awfully tired. His hair was messy, and his basketball shorts were loose around his hips as you were able to see his v-line. He opened the cupboard as you just did and grabbed himself a bigger cup than what you had grabbed.
"Hey, Kiri," you said. "You scared me!"
"Sorry." He said flatly.
"Didn't expect to run into you. It's really late," you pressed on.
No response.
"How are you?"
He only hummed, not meeting your gaze. You felt the tension between the two of you yet again, and it made you uneasy. He wasn't interested in a conversation.
He poured water into his cup as well before putting the dispenser back in the fridge and began to walk out. You frowned. He didn't even say 'goodnight.' He said nothing at all.
You couldn't stop yourself from reacting.
"I'm sorry!"
He turned. Finally, his slow-blinking eyes met yours. Those familiar red eyes that once gave you comfort now were filled with what you would only describe as distaste. You stammered over your words, trying to find the right thing to say.
"I know I haven't been the best of friend to you lately. But it's not because I don't care about you, it's just... things are complicated."
"How?" He asked, his voice groggy.
"Well," you said, hesitantly. It was embarrassing. "Katsuki..."
"Of course it is." He scratched his head. "He's always been that way."
You sighed. The guilt was getting to you at that moment. "It's not like that. He just wants to protect me. He told me to stay away from you, Kiri, and to not talk to you. That's why I've been a little silent."
He shook his head. "Whatever sick game you and your boyfriend have going on, keep it between you two. I don't care for it."
You raised an eyebrow. "Boyfriend? Katsuki and I aren't dating."
Kirishima's eyes widened for a moment. Then he laughed. He laughed at you. Your face got hot. He was taunting you. He laughed at you.
"That's rich," he teased. "Katsuki doesn't even want you, but he can control who you talk to? That's low, even for you."
Your eyebrows furrowed, and your lips parted slightly in surprise. You searched Kirishima's face for any signs of deception but found none. A wave of uncertainty washed over you. "Don't say that."
He chuckled, enjoying the reaction he had provoked. "Well, that's what it sounds like. And you just let it happen, why? You're... weak."
You shifted uncomfortably. You looked down at your hands, fidgeting with your fingers. "You shouldn't say things you don't mean."
Your mind spun with conflicting thoughts and emotions. While you and Katsuki never had openly discussed your guys' relationship, you believed there was a mutual understanding between you both. The idea that Katsuki didn't want you shattered your heart.
Kirishima's grin widened as he poked more at your vulnerable state. "Oh, come on. Don't be so naive."
Your heart sank. The room fell into an awkward silence, your emotions welled up inside you. The weight of his words became unbearable. Tears welled up in your eyes.
You wanted to believe that he was just hurt. He had every right to be. When people are upset they say things they don't mean. That's happening now.
"I'm sorry, okay?" you mumbled. "I don't know what else to say."
Kirishima stepped forward, no sign of regret on his face. "Don't cry, Baby. It's not your fault you're so trusting."
You wiped away the tears that fell and turned away from him. You needed to stay composed.
"You know what? Let's have some fun. If you really wanna make it up to me for being such a shit friend, why don't you spend some time with me? Let's just... enjoy each other's company."
Your heart began to beat faster as you felt his bigger chest rub against your backside. You shook your head. "I don't think that's a good idea, Kiri. I don't want to go behind Katsuki's back."
"Come on," he whined. "It'll be our little secret. Just for tonight. Don't you miss having fun with me?"
You felt a flutter in your stomach. It was true, you did miss the way things used to be between you and Kirishima. You missed the inside jokes and the way you both would talk for hours without running out of things to talk about. You missed never having to look over your shoulder.
But you also knew that what he was suggesting was wrong. It would be going against Katsuki, and you'd never want to disobey him.
"I don't, I mean, Katsuki wouldn't approve-"
"Katsuki doesn't need to fucking know."
He was persistent. He turned you around, your chest brushing against his. He leaned in close, you could smell the faint scent of his cologne.
"Come on, babe," he whispered. "Just this once. For old times' sake."
You just wanted everything to go back to normal.
Tumblr media
You didn't mean for things to escalate.
Your entire body was on fire, but the opening between your legs burned like hell. Kirishima's fingers were entangled in your hair and he deepened the kiss in an attempt to make you more quiet.
"K-Kiri, i-it hurts!" you tried to turn away from his kisses, but his hand held your chin toward him, your sentence getting caught up in between his lips.
He was much bigger and girthier than Bakugou. Legitimately, you were afraid he would split you open. He entered you slowly, being sure to make you cum twice from his mouth first. But even after all of that work, the pain of just his tip was enough to make you want to tap out.
But he insisted it would feel better. That the pain would go away in no time. So he kept going, slowly. He had your legs pushed up by your head, making sure to get every inch of himself inside of you.
"Does that feel good, baby?" He asked, his fingers digging into the flesh of your hips, pushing your body into his mattress.
All you could do was cry out. The sensation was too much to bear. Your fingers gripped the sheets, your nails almost splitting through the thin sheets. Tears streamed down your face each time he thrusted into you. He wasn't being rough at all, he was just so hard to take.
His hands softly slid up and down your stomach, feeling your skin thoroughly. His long, fluid strokes only made you gasp. Kirishima huffs out every once in a while, a wide smile plastered on his face as he watched you take him in.
You were so tight.
"You're clenching so much around me- oh, fuck, baby, look at me," he slapped your face lightly when he noticed that your eyes were closing.
He leaned forward and took your arms in his hands before wrapping them around his neck to make you hold onto him closer. You never thought you'd be here. Never thought you'd be doing something so intimate with him. You weren't this sensual with Katsuki either, your heart ached at the fact.
Maybe Kirishima was right.
He pressed a thumb to your swollen clit and you screamed. His eyes went wide, taken aback at how you reacted. Quickly, he grabbed your panties from beside him and forced them into your mouth. Your garbled noises went muffled as they continued to spill from your throat.
"I didn't know you were so sensitive," he panted. "I need you to stay quiet, hun. Understand?"
You couldn't answer him. You felt so full, so stuffed. You felt his cock hit your cervix with every roll of his hips. You had yet to notice the bulge he had made in your stomach.
His head tilted. "Awe, you're so stupid. You've gone all dumb on my cock, can't even fucking talk. Shit, but you're gonna. Does he make you feel as good as I do?"
Your eyes traveled to him. You were nearing your third release, your thighs started twitching in pain. What?
"Don't look at me like that. Answer the question, baby."
He purposely began grinding his hips deeper into you. His sharp-toothed smile turned you on even more. He was only teasing you, he knew you were barely able to comprehend what he was saying to you.
You felt yourself coming closer, your cream making a mess all over his cock. You trembled and squirmed.
"T-Too m-much, aah!" you cried out, the panties slipping to the side of your mouth.
He chuckled. You're so fucking cute.
"Wanna cum, pretty baby? Wanna come undone all over my cock? Be a good girl for me, yeah?"
All you could do was babble. Babble about how good he made you feel, about how much you wanted to cum, about how much better he was compared to Bakugou.
You gave him everything he wanted to hear.
He took that as a sign and he drove into you faster, harder. The sounds of skin slapping filled the room. Your back was arched and your eyes were crossed before you knew it.
Your cunt squeezed around his cock involuntarily and you couldn't stop your moans from coming out as you finally gave in to your release. Your moans were like music to his ears. They made him want to fuck you relentlessly, but he needed to hold back. He slapped his hand over your mouth, grunting as he reached his end.
It wasn't long before he came. Inside you, that is.
He collapsed onto your chest, you both breathing heavily. His skin was slippery as both of you were sweaty. Your cunt was incredibly sore. You winced at every breath he took as his cock was still inside you. He didn't plan on taking it out anytime soon, either.
You didn't mean for things to escalate. You just wanted things to go back to normal. You knew Kirishima long enough to know he'd always kept a promise.
You only feared that things wouldn't go back to normal as quickly as you'd hoped.

cubscarian cuddling? maybaps? or maybe a tango of the tek variety…… hotguy in general would be fun :3 or cuteguy’s outfit!
Tumblr media
There was a careful balance to strike here at the edge of Cub’s bed. Cub and Scar were sound asleep, reasonable given the time, and Grian was eager to join them in his own deliriously tired state, but these things required tact. Strategy. Scar did not wake easily, but if Grian did happen to rouse him by accident, he would surely be smothered in those godforsaken arms for the foreseeable future. Grian was quite cold from the night chill, but he’d rather not be flattened in his pursuit of warmth. Despite this, Scar was Grian’s favorite furnace, and if he could manage to finagle himself into the curve of Scar’s chest without the carelessness of those wing-crushing arms..
Even in the dead of night, half asleep, Grian was nothing if not a betting man.
So Grian hopped up onto the backboard settling into the marks his talons had left from hundreds of instances of this exact movement. Hm. Cub might be a problem. He and Scar were cuddled just a little closer than Grian had initially thought, but it wasn’t like they were locked together or anything, there was room.
Hands and feet curled inwards so he didn’t poke holes in the blankets, Grian crept forward on his knuckles. The path was clear; Scar didn’t wear his legs to bed, obviously, so the free space was Grian’s way in, though the major obstacle of Scar’s arm draped over Cub’s side was still a present threat. Grian could just move it of course; it definitely wouldn’t wake Scar up and would be much easier to slot himself between the two of them, but something in Grian wanted it there, over him, keeping him securely buried on all sides. Grian squinted, giving the narrow space between Scar and Cub another scrutinizing look. It would be a tight squeeze. Tighter with Scar’s arm in the way..
He could make it. Just get his shoulders through. The rest would come easy.
Getting his shoulders through was more difficult than anticipated. Grian found himself pushing at an opening that just wouldn’t budge, Scar keeping a firmer hold now that Grian was trying to rift himself between him and Cub while the latter groaned. Had Grian mentioned Cub was a considerably lighter sleeper? This was fine. Asleep Scar was just stubborn, and with a little more force Grian would surely slide right through. Just a little more force. A little more oomph. In his single minded focus on this goal, Grian failed to realize he was flapping his wings until he hit both of his partners in the face at least twice.
Well! At least that got Cub to move!
“Grian.” Cub hissed, just about unhappy sounding as it gets, but Grian was too pleased with getting right where he wanted to care, only to feel Cub’s absence with great sadness moments later. He was still so cold.
“Come back,” Grian whispered, failing just a little at the being quiet part.
“No.”
“Please?”
“Bad man. Greedy. Sharp. Bad.”
“I am not-“ Even when Grian sensed the first shifting of Scar’s body behind him, it was too late. Scar’s arms punched the life right out of him as they latched around his stomach, leaving Grian flailing and wheezing for air. His wingbeats were hard enough to properly wake Scar up, the other yelping and falling out of bed, though, not without taking the entire top blanket with him. Grian just managed to hold on to the bed frame, wiggling from Scar’s grasp not a moment too soon, but didn’t get to balance before Cub’s foot connected with his chest, pushing him right over the edge.
“Banished. Both of you. Be gone. Goodnight.”
“Why am I banished!” Scar wailed, voice hoarse from sleep. “This was all Grian! I’m innocent!”
“You are innocent.” Cub conceded, muffled as he spoke into the pillow, “But I’m really hot and you can not control yourself.”
“What I do in my sleep is not my fault! You should consider being less holdable if you don’t want me attached at the hip!”
“Perhaps,” Cub mused, “But it is my bed. And my crimes are excused because I don’t care. Both of your future crimes will be met with violence, as will the crime of speaking, so choose wisely. Court dismissed. Goodnight.”
Grian and Scar exchanged a guilty look. There was plenty to fight over here, Scar having far more to complain about (not that this would stop Grian), but they’d been down that road, and it ended with both of them being locked out of Cub’s room.
Well. With Cub settled on the opposite edge of the bed, there was space. If they played their cards right..
Grian took his place on the backboard, keeping a careful eye on Cub as Scar tested the waters, not unlike a cat the way he pushed one hand, then two into the mattress. The dip did not seem to disturb Cub, who probably would have given the two of them a sharp glare by now if he was actually pissed off. Nope. He was probably just hot like he’d said, and this was the easiest way to communicate it. Grian didn’t really mind, and even if Scar hadn’t been asleep before, Grian doubted he minded either. If it hadn’t gone this way, Cub probably would have just kicked Scar until he woke up or rolled off anyway.
Grian took Scar’s hands, pulling him up with great care, like any disturbance of the bed would end with both of them back on the floor. Listen, it had already been established by now this wasn’t a danger, but sue a guy for imagining a little forbidden fun! Grian saw the glint of Scar’s smirk through the darkness, mirroring his internal sentiment. After Scar was settled in the most gentle of fashions, Grian hopped off the bed to crack the window, then retreated back to Scar’s arms, safer from the incoming chill.
“You’re cold,” he mumbled, just loud enough for Grian to hear.
“S’alright,” Grian replied, though the words might not have left his lips coherent enough to be heard. No worries. He wouldn’t be very cold for long.
(I was actually going to do more or all of what you requested and then this turned out to be. Bigger. Because I can’t help myself. Anyway!)

I love a lot of those ideas...and actually now got ideas for a part 2:
Imagine if the ancients visit y/n after a while of y/n just staying mostly in bed...and it's so they can dote on y/n too and make sure they are relaxed and happy and can imagine a little add on if you want...based off the "freshly baked cookie" part...
Like at one point dark enchantress shows up and ancients prepare to fight buuuut turns out she isn't here to cause stress for y/n by causing a war...she is here to help y/n learn to walk! Like she is holding y/n up and letting go so y/n slowly learns to stand and when they get the hang of it...they make a fun game to make sure y/n is having fun and happy while learning to walk (and so various cookies can have a chance to hug y/n...you'll understand why when I say game. Also it's so cookies can show their love for y/n and vent out a little of their competition through a fun game...aaaand remind themselves to keep their fight for y/n on the down low because...again want y/n to feel safe and happy.)
The game? A play obstacle course where each cookie is a 'check point' where y/n simply has to walk up to them and give them a hug before going onto the next cookie...and like the cookies are cheering them on "come on y/n! You can do it!" Ofcourse having some cookies nearby so if y/n starts to stumble, they can rush up to y/n like "hey hey its ok its ok...you're ok, we are here for you!"
And can imagine at the end, the cookies are all super proud of y/n lol!
Oooor maybe you can make up you're own 'y/n learns to walk' game where cookies can be more...competitive...buuut ofcourse maybe they mask it behind playful banter and so on so y/n doesn't feel the stress of having cookies fight over them lol!
Sorry if I'm being too descriptive or if I Sounded weird or anything lol! Just got thoughts flowing lmao!
Enjoy the milkshake! Don’t worry about sounding too descriptive, it’s actually more helpful for me since I don’t have to think of a plot- also dark enchantress might be ooc
How do you walk?
Part 1, part 3
Self aware AU
-platonic-
“ … and that’s when Blackberry Cookie came over to calm down Onion Cookie! After that everything was fine!”
You rested in the bed as Gingerbrave talked about recent events, this was a weekly occurrence, you didn’t hate it! But you wished you could walk around and talk to more cookie besides Gingerbrave, Strawberry, Wizard Or Custard lll…
Gingerbrave got up to leave before saying one last thing “Oh and one last thing before I leave! The ancient Cookies are going to be visiting! They might come see you to try and help you with your problem”
Huh… that was new… some cookies who might be able to help you out… only issue was that these cookies are some of the strongest in this game, or well this world you should say. So you were nervous about that.
A week went by the ancient cookie finally arrived in the cookie kingdom
You were nervous, an even a little scared
I mean these cookies could kill you if desired.
And you couldn’t even walk! So you couldn’t do anything against them!
When the ancients arrived, Pure Vanilla was the first to come into the room, along with Gingerbrave.
Dark Cacao and Golden Cheese came in next, followed by White Lily and Hollyberry.
Gingerbrave introduced you since you couldn’t talk
Now the vibe was meant to be nice and friendly, but it just wasn’t
It was VERY awkward
Now all the ancients had different opinions on you
Pure Vanilla wanted to help you get better since you literally couldn’t do anything but you couldn’t talk so he didn’t want to overstep any boundaries
Hollyberry wanted to lighten up you mood, so she told jokes and it worked for a little bit
Dark Cacao was very unsure of what to think about you. He’s not good with stuff like this
Golden Cheese was a bit like Hollyberry in a way but her jokes didn’t land that much
White Lily was very fascinated by your predicament. She has studied cookies for a while and has never seen something like this happen before
And Gingerbrave was there to have things to a bit more smoothly.
But in the end you guys didn’t get anything done. You couldn’t talk so it was to be expected.
The ancients bid you a farewell and left along with Gingerbrave
You were now alone…
It was the dead of night and you were reading since you were so used to staying up late and not sleeping, it was something you were working on.
But unlike all the other nights, everything felt off. Like there was a lurking darkness around you, it kinda give you anxiety.
No… not kinda…
It did give you anxiety.
You were reading when you heard your door open, and you saw a figure that resembled White Lily
You greeted her…. At least you thought you greeted White Lily…
When the figure responded, if definitely didn’t sound like White Lily
The figure stepped into the light and you froze in fear
Dark Enchantress was right in front of you
Now you were used to stressful situations but this was different
You were actively in danger.
You were going to scream before the sorceress shushed you
“Don’t scream. Im not going to hurt someone as pathetic as you.”
Ouch… but you weren’t in danger so that was good..?
Dark Enchantress told you that you needed to get up and walk. And without warning she pulled you up and got you to balance yourself
“Your not going to survive if you keep being babied by cookies. Now I’m going to leave you. Next time I see you, you better be able to walk”
And just like that she left.
You were left confused and started
And needless to say the next day Strawberry Cookie came into the room she had a heart attack since you were standing.

Avenger Lane Chapter 8: Finish Him!
“Your soul is mine!” You mimicked Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat.
“FINISH HIM!” the game announcer bellowed.
“Nooooo!” Beth shouted as Sub-Zero performed their fatality.
“Beth, your room is a mess!” You hear Quinn shouting from upstairs causing Ollie to sit up from his nap.
“Young lady, did you not clean it earlier when she asked you the first time?” You raised your brow pausing the video game you both were playing.
“Beth!” Quinn shouted from upstairs.
“Uh oh.” Fin giggled looking up from her drawing. “Mommy’s mad.”
“Well, go on.” You said taking her controller hearing her groan.
“Don’t play without me!” Beth shouted as she marched up stairs.
“I help Bethy.” Fin said racing after her, leaving her drawing behind.
You stood making your way to the garage grabbing your sheers you needed to tend to the gardens anyway. Right as you kneeled in front of your flower bed a certain redhead walked by.
“They’re beautiful.” Natasha smiled stopping next to you before crouching down.
“Beautiful flowers-” You cut a small bouquet. “For a beautiful lady.”
“Thank you.” She chuckled bashfully taking them from you.
“You're welcome.” you grinned before asking. “Off to Wanda’s? Or did you just wanna see me?”
“Well always happy to see you, but I am about to have a drink with Wanda.” She smiled. “Do you wanna join us?”
“No, I'm just messing with you. I'm waiting for Beth to finish her chores so we can go back to our video game marathon.”
“Oooh fun, I've never really played anything before besides what is at an arcade. Sometimes Pietro would convince us to skip school and join him at the arcade.”
“Woooow, bad student.” you both chuckled.
“I was a great student! How are you by the way?”
“Good; we took Beth to get registered at school earlier today. I can’t believe she’s starting the 6th grade already.”
“I bet, did she join any clubs?”
“Her mother really wants her to be a cheerleader.”
“You don’t?” She raised her brow.
“Not really.” You sighed setting your sheers down. “I just can’t see her doing that.”
“Does she want too?”
“Well it looks like her new friends are playing soccer. So now she’s on the fence.” You shrugged.
“Lyla’s pretty excited she’s played since she was a little girl.” Natasha added with a smile.
“Secretly, I want her in anything but cheer. I know how cheerleaders are, and I do not want my daughter to be like them.” You grumbled.
“Well they’re only in middle school.” Natasha smirked.
“Still.”
“Of course.” Natasha nodded standing up with a grin.
“Tell Wanda I said hi.” You grinned.
“I will. When are you going to tell Quinn about the job offer?” She raised her brow at you.
“I’m working up to it.” You mumbled.
“Hmhm.” She smirked walking off to the Maximoff residence smelling her flowers. “Thanks for the flowers.”
“Welcome!” You say back as you watch her smile at you before walking inside the Maximoff home.
“Look at that love sick look on your face.” Wanda laughed as she set two wine glasses down.
“Shut up.” She grumbled setting them down softly before taking the glass in her hand.
Natasha was too busy looking at her flowers to notice Wanda yelling at the boys to go outside.

You were tending to your garden with your phone playing an old Journey song in the back ground. You were jamming along when you heard Wanda’s boys run outside.
“What’s up boys!” You waved seeing the Maximoffs holding a football.
“Hi!” They waved excitedly.
“Can Beth come out and play?” Billy asks.
You sighed looking back at the house. “Well Beth is finishing up her chores but she can when she’s done.”
“Oh okay. Beth said you used to play football.” Tommy says looking at the flowers you were repotting.
“Four time state champ.” You smirked.
“That’s awesome! Mom, just signed us up today, but we don't really know how to play.” Billy says sadly.
“Will you teach us?” Tommy asked sweetly. “Please? When we asked our dad he thought it meant soccer.”
“Well soccer is great too!”
“But we wanna play football.” Billy sighed sadly.
“Please teach us.” Tommy pleaded.
“No…” the boy's looked down in disappointment. “but I’ll coach ya.” You teased with a wink.
The boys jumped up and down cheering.
 ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗
Wanda and Natasha were in the middle of a conversation when they heard the boys yelling. They ran outside only to see you teaching them how to tackle.
“Y/N, is so great with kids.” Wanda said, before taking a sip of her wine. “Ya know if Vis wasn’t such a great husband.” she shrugged jokingly.
Natasha glares playfully.
“I'm kidding!... Sort of.” Wanda laughed.
“Another thing that makes her undeniably attractive.” Natasha murmured watching you laugh wholeheartedly with the boys.
“Vis is going to be jealous if he sees this.” the taller woman murmured.
“What? That you’re ogling Y/N?” the shorter woman chuckled.
“No.” Wanda laughed, slapping her arm. “More so that Y/N is coaching our sons on how to play football. Vis tried but he grabbed a soccer ball, and the boys didn’t have the heart to tell him.” She sighed before looking over at you. “What is Y/N doing?”
You were lugging a large tractor tire towards the lawn.
“Okay you were right Y/N is really strong.” Wanda smirked watching your muscles flex as you flipped the tire.
“Can I try?!” She heard Tommy ask and you laughed.
“Be my guest.” You stepped aside as Tommy growled trying to move the tire but only nudged it.
“Oh this is adorable.” Wanda chuckled, taking out her phone once more to record the boys. “Come on Billy, you can do it!”
“Dad, what are you doing?” Beth asked suddenly next to you.
“Oh hey sweetheart!” You laying your hand on her tiny shoulder. “I'm just teaching the boys about football. They wanted to try and lift the tire before I hang it up.”
“Can I try?” Beth asked looking up at you.
“Of course.”
“Beth!” The boys waved her over explaining how heavy the tire is.
Beth remembered you throwing the tire and squatted down before using her legs to support the toss.
“That’s my daughter!” You cheered.
Beth blushed hearing everyone cheer for her.
You finally moved the tire where you wanted it using rope to tie it to the tree branch out on your lawn. You jumped from the tree taking the ball Billy handed you,
“The key to a perfect spiral is hand placement and foot work.” You showed them with one hand how you were holding it. You slowly showed each step in movement before throwing it right through the tire.
“Wow!” The boys gasped.
“I know right.” Beth grinned.
“Who wants to go first?” You grinned, taking the ball from Billy who ran to get it. “Thanks bud.”
“Hey Y/L/N!” Steve shouted from his driveway holding up his arms.
You stepped back angling yourself before grunting as you threw it straight in his arms.
“Yeah!” He chuckled before throwing it right back.
You jumped up catching it before landing back on the grass.
“That was so cool!” The boys gushed.
“Woooo! That’s a running back right there!” He clapped his hands cheering before he walked into his home.
“My turn!” Beth shouted.
Soon Cassie and Morgan, and Monica joined in with the kids throwing perfect spirals.
“Okay but this is such a dad thing!” Carol giggled as she watched you coaching the kids. She and Val walked over to watch you and the kids with Wanda and Natasha. “She’s literally teaching the kids on the block.”
“It’s called Coaching.” Val smirked, taking a sip of her beer they brought over, nudging her wife. “That’s it sweetheart that’s the hustle!” Val clapped seeing Monica throw the ball through the tire.
Soon a car drove up it was Vis.
“Uh oh.” Wanda sighed.
Vis got out watching his boys being coached by you. He sighed sadly before trudging up the steps. “I see the boys asked Y/N to coach them.” He sighed.
“Oh Vis-“
“It’s quite alright darling. Y/N is a 4 time state champion. They seem to be learning a great deal. I’ll just go get washed up for dinner.” He made a mental note to return the book he purchased earlier that same day.
“Oof, he is definitely upset.” Val nodded.
“I’d give my vibrator to see Y/N in her old football uniform.” Carol fanned herself, ignoring the depressed Englishman to watch you run around with the kids.
“Oh my God, Carol!” Natasha chuckled before looking at Val.
“What? Y/N is hot. I wouldn’t mind them in our bed. Devils threesome and all.” Val shrugged. “Her wife is just as sexy, I can only imagine what goes on in that bedroom.” She laughed causing the women to giggle.
Natasha stayed silent clenching her legs knowing exactly what you were like as she recalled a memory.
“I’ve seen it.” Wanda blushed smiling as she bit her lip, breaking the comfortable silence.
“Shut up! You have not.” Carol scoffed.
“I did and let me just say Y/N, is very, very well endowed.” Wanda smirked while finishing her drink.
“I can confirm. Hung as a fucking horse” Val chuckled.
“How did you both even-“ Natasha began she was upset. How dare they oogle you… even though she used to do the same thing.
“Gym I saw the outline.”
“Quinn did this sexy strip tease for Y/N in the living room. It was like watching one of those nature shows I couldn’t look away. Y/N definitely knows how to work a woman, and Quinn knows how to work Y/N. All of Y/N.” She giggled.
“Damn Wands you watched them fuck?” Val furrowed her brows. “Have you ever seen Carol and I?”
“Once.” She giggled.
“Oh my God.” Val muttered.
“We’re getting black out curtains.” Carol murmured. “How did you see Y/N and not tell me though?”
“Are you kidding she made me feel…slightly emasculated. Why would I ever openly say that she’s bigger than-” Val scoffed.
“Oh baby, you shouldn’t ever feel that way.” Carol smirked sitting on Val’s lap giving her a kiss.
“Alright you two; reel it in.” Nat muttered, sipping her drink as they began to feel eachother up.
“Speak of the devil.” Wanda said, diverting her attention to the girls to Quinn who stepped out on her own porch.
“Dinner is ready.” Quinn smiled. “Beth, come wash up.”
“Aww but mom! Pop is coaching us!” Beth whined.
“Papa me too! Papa me too!” Fin ran out the door with your old football helmet.
You laughed watching her tumble down the steps the helmet breaking her fall.
“Fin, I told you to leave your papa’s things alone.”
“It’s ok Q.” You wink.
“Papa my turn!” Fin whined, holding out her tiny hands.
“Oh my gosh fine!” Beth huffed, throwing a spiral at her little sister.
“Beth.” You and Quinn said sternly after it bounced off of the helmet.
“Sorry.” Beth said meekly after her mother glared at her.
“You did great kiddo.” You say pushing the helmet up so she could see.
“Okay enough football for tonight let’s eat dinner. Beth take Fin and go wash up please.”
“Aww mom, one more round!”
“It’s alright Sweetheart I’m pretty hungry. You all were awesome today! It’s getting a little late so everyone go home, and wash up.” You turned waving towards the ladies watching.
The kids cheered before each one ran to their respective houses.
“Fin!” Beth huffed as Finley ran right behind the other kids to the Maximoff residence.
The kids cheered before each one ran to their respective houses.
“Natty!” Finley beamed from beneath the helmet.
“Hi Finny!”
“I’m like papa now!”
“I see that you did great!” Natasha smiles lifting your youngest on her lap.
Meanwhile the other neighborhood kids were gushing about their new fondness for football.
“Mom, did you see me?!” Billy gasped holding the football.
“Mom, that was so much fun!” Monica said, looking up at Carol and Val.
“Yeah it was! You did fantastic out there lieutenant trouble!” Carol grinned.
“How’s pizza sound for our little football player?” Val smirked.
“Yayyy!” Monica cheered.
“Mom did you see?!” Tommy panted, his hair crazy and sweaty..
“I did sweetie you and your brother are naturals.” Wanda smiled sweetly, pushing his wet sweaty hair back. “Did you thank coach Y/L/N?”
“Yes momma.” They nodded.
“Billy and I are gonna make coach Y/L/N a tshirt tomorrow in art class!” Tommy grinned.
“That’s really thoughtful. Boys, go on and take showers, dinner will be ready soon.”
“Bye neighbors!” The boys shouted to the women drinking on their porch before racing one another to the shower.
“Hi Miss Nat, Fin, come on, we have to go back home for dinner.” Beth
“Hi Beth.” Natasha smiled at Quinn’s mini clone.
“Neh, I stay with Natty.”
“Oh you’ll stay with me?” Natasha chuckled looking down at her little eyes beneath the helmet.
“Fin.” Beth huffed.
“How about next time Fin? Your mommy made you dinner, it's time to go eat now.”
“Aww.” Finley bowed her head making Natasha lift it back up before she tumbled over by the weight of the helmet.
“We’ll go swimming tomorrow, how about that?” Natasha smiled.
“Okay Natty.” Finley made grabby hands at her older sister. Beth rolled her eyes before lifting her up.
“Bye Natty.” “Bye Miss Nat.” The kids said in unison.
“Bye, see you again soon.” She looked over at you who winked in response.
Natasha looked away when Quinn started acting like a lovesick teenager by pulling you in a kiss.
“You gonna be my coach tonight?” Quinn husked.
“I can think of some drills.” You smirked.
“Hey Y/L/N!” Steve shouted as you held your wife by her hips pecking her lips softly. He ran over from across the street.
“Hmm?” You hummed, turning your head before turning away from your wife.
“Let’s all get together this weekend to have a friendly game of touch football? I can bring out the grill and cooler.”
“Yeah man sounds like a plan!” You grinned.
“Nice! I’ll get the guys together.”
“Oi what are we? Chopped liver?” Val shouted.
You chuckled leaning back against Quinn who stood a step higher. Her arms wrapped loosely around your neck. She was whispering sweet nothings near your ear. It drove her absolutely insane when you did anything sports related.
“The more the merrier!” Steve laughed.
“Yeah sounds good just more ass I get to smack.” You smirked over at them as Quinn bit her lip.
“Wow Y/L/N I had no idea you were such a jock.” Carol smirked.
“Four time state champ baby!” You grinned.
“My mom won the cheer championship 4 times in a row too!” Beth smiled looking up at her mother.
“The jock and the cheerleader. Lots of locker room meetups?” Val smirked.
“How do you think we got Beth?” You chuckled as Quinn elbowed you and Beth made a ew sound before running inside.
“Nice.” Val chuckled high fiving you.
⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗
The following morning you had been walking Ollie with the girls when you all came across Peter and Gamora Quill walking their animals.
“Oh my gosh!” Beth gasped.
“Can I pet?” Fin pointed.
“Yes.” Gamora giggled. “Yes you can pet.” She crouched down letting your daughters pet their mini zoo of animals.
“Sorry.” You chuckled.
“Oh don’t be neighbor, this happens all the time we don’t mind and neither do they.” Quill laughed. “We were just about to put them in the backyard. Why don’t you guys just follow us and you can keep playing them.”
⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗
“That’s such a sad story but at least they found the their happy ever after. Rocket and the others really went through the ringer.” You say as the raccoon settles on your lap letting you gently pet him as you listen to Peter Quill and Gamora explain how they found him in the first place, and how Gamora made a sort of career change from being a bounty hunter to a rescue hunter. She went from hunting Nazi’s to hunting animal abusers and sometimes even child abusers
“Yeah they really did.” Gamora whispers softly just before Rocket lept from your lap to hers giving her a snuggle before darting off towards up a tree that Peter made a treehouse in. “After finding him and Lylla I couldn’t let them be apart.”
You smile seeing the otter they rescued in their salt water pool. You sniffled and wiped a tear away looking around at the recuses they have found together. “Well Rocket, is welcomed to our trash anytime.”
“I love Flor!” Beth giggled as she played with the handicapped bunny.
“I can’t believe animal cruelty is even a thing. What kind of monster of a human would hurt defenseless animals.” You sigh. “They’re all so sweet and beautiful. Makes me love and appreciate Ollie even more. I’ve only known Rocket, Lylla, Cosmo, and Flor a short while and I would absolutely lay my life down for them just like I would for Ollie.” You smiled seeing Ollie and Cosmo playing around with one another.
“Maybe we can take all of you to visit Teefs.” Gamora smiled. “He’s living at the Aquarium now in New York. We hated separating them but Teefs needed a lot of special care and the Aquarium provides that. We take them out to visit him at least 3 times a month.”
“I’d love to meet the big guy, and I’m sure the girls would too as well.” You chuckle as Cosmo, their rescue dog, gives you kisses. “Thank you Cosmo, you're a good girl.” She barked in excitement she whisked Fin up and on her back. Zooming all of the yard chasing Ollie.
“Cosmo zoomies!” Fin giggled on her back.
“The girls are in love with this place.” You chuckled seeing Beth’s face light up when floor hopped on her chest as they laid in the grass.
“They are always welcome here.” Gamora smiled.
“Yeah maybe next time I can grill us some burgers, and you can actually meet our team.” Peter grinned.
“Yeah I’d like that!” After a beat you asked; “Have you thought about opening up a rescue center?”
“We have but we just felt like if we did then it would need to basically be a zoo so they can free roam and not be tied down in a cage.”
“Well when you guys find the right place let me know. I’d love to help out in anyway that I can.”
“Thank you Y/N.” Gamora smiled.
“Beer?” Peter grins, handing you a bottle.
⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗
“Hey.” You say knocking on her office door.
“Hi baby, you and the girls have a nice walk?” Quinn smiles, taking her glasses off looking from her computer to you.
“It was great we met some more neighbors down the block, but we can talk about that later. I wanna talk with you about something important to me.”
“Okay.” She said standing up taking your hand leading you to her loveseat. “What’s going on?”
“Well a few days ago I was speaking with Tony, and he basically offered me a job on his team.”
“With Stark Industries?” Quinn’s eyes widened.
“Yeah, he heard I was supposed to go to MIT, and since I actually know what I’m doing he offered me a job.”
“Wow.” She smiled, patting your hands.
“You don’t want me to take it.” You mutter softly with a sigh.
“It’s just Fin is still not in school, and I-“
“Natasha said she’d be her babysitter, and Beth will be in school.” You say.
Quinn bit her lip looking away.
“Hey.” You say gaining her attention back. “This is important to me. I can actually bring something home. I can actually have my own career. It’s time Quinn.”
“Let’s wait a couple years for Fin to go to school then we can-“
“If you don’t want Natasha to take care of Fin. Then why don’t you just work from home fulltime and take care of our daughters yourself?”
“I can’t do that.”
“Quinn why can’t you just meet me half way-“
“Because I may be pregnant.” She interrupts you.
“Wait what?” You furrow your brows.
“I didn’t wanna tell you yet, I wanted to be sure.” She sighed standing up.
“Oh.” You raise your brows.
She swiftly turned around glaring at you. “You said you wanted-“
“No, no, I do, I do.” You say quickly rushing to her side, taking her hands. “Have you taken a test yet?”
“No…I’m still waiting a few more days to see if I start.” She muttered.
“Okay.” You nodded. “So we really aren’t sure yet.”
“No… but I know my body, and it feels just like the first time. I’ll make a doctor's appointment.”
You took her hand and sat down in thought. You did want another baby, but you knew she didn’t want another. You can’t help but feel a little blind sided. You internally roll your eyes at yourself Beth and Finley were both surprises, and you did tell her you wanted another baby. Maybe you won't have to turn down your dream job. You take in a deep breath and slowly release before saying something more so for yourself.
“One day at a time.”

With the mere existence of your blog I already adore you, I loved all your writings and I wanted to make a small request, how about DK with an s/o who loves mechanics (the kars scene drove me crazy with emotion) and speed? (extra points if she is a little sister of mario and luigi)
forgive my bad english! <3
Donkey Kong x Reader who likes cars
Tumblr media
You were the younger sister of Mario and Luigi, but you weren’t in their little plumbing business.
Unlike your brothers you had taken a little more interest in cars.
Your parents also weren’t to happy about your choice, but they knew you wouldn’t change your mind so they just let you do your own thing.
But with the three of you being seen as the “disappointments” of the family, you were always together.
You even tagged along for their plumber appointments just in case their van had any issues.
On the day Brooklyn was flooding and your brothers took it upon themselves to fix it, you decided to come along since you had nothing better to do.
But you really wished you stayed home because getting sucked into a sketchy green pipe was not on the bucket list.
You and Mario had the fortune of staying together but sadly, Luigi did not.
You were pretty freaked out upon landing in the Mushroom kingdom, you were in an unfamiliar place with talking mushrooms.
It was hard not to freak out.
But the little mushroom you met by the name of Toad agreed to help you find your brother by taking you to the princess.
When you entered the actual kingdom part you realized they didn’t seem to use cars around here, instead they used the kind of pipes that got you here in the first place.
Pretty cool.
Toad crawled inside the clear pipe and you watched him flow through at high speeds.
You were curious on how the pipe worked, was some kind of machinery operating it? or was it magic?
Well there was only one way to find out.
You followed behind Toad in the pipe, flying through it smoothly with intense speed.
“Isn’t this fun Mario?!” You giggled having the time of your life with this new way of transportation.
Things weren’t going as well for Mario as every turn he would roughly smash against the side of the pipe.
Eventually the three of you made it to the top of the hill, approaching the castle.
Toad had to distract the guards for you and Mario since the guards were trying to play with your mind and redirect you somewhere else.
But even inside the castle the guards caught onto you guys pretty quickly and began chasing you through the maze of hallways.
Running into the princess was…interesting.
She threw Mario to the ground and turned her attention to you, but before she could get you the guards had tackled you to the ground as well.
“Wait wait! Let them speak” The princess demanded and the guards let you and Mario free.
“Princess we need your help. I need your help to find our brother.” Mario explained.
After a little bit of talking with the princess you guys sorted out a deal.
If you and Mario helped her take down Bowser, Then your brother would be found.
But first, you had to train.
You and Mario were taken to a course with lots or crazy jumps and obstacles, but you were pretty confident in your skills so you decided to go first.
You finished first try, But poor Mario worked himself until the sun went down.
Next morning The princess along with Toad traveled with you and Mario to the Jungle kingdom.
You enjoyed the travel part. This place was so much than Brooklyn, you wished you could stay here forever.
The arrival to the Jungle Kingdom came up fast.
And you were excited.
You wondered what they were like in this kingdom. Was it more mushroom people? Humans? And did they drive fast cars?!
The residents of the Jungle Kingdom turned out to be gorillas, but much to your happiness they did in fact drive fast cars.
You pestered the gorilla who let you guys inside the kingdom to let you drive his cool car but he grumbled every time you opened your mouth.
You sat in the middle seat, between Mario and Peach.
What’s the point of a younger sibling if you can’t third wheel the two love birds?
The ride was unlike anything you’d felt before, no rollercoaster could compare to all the fun you had riding on the twisty roads at high speeds.
You were sad when it was over, cause after that you had to have a serious talk with the king of the apes.
Peach talked about forming an alliance with the army but the king wasn’t gonna let her have it just that easily.
Instead we would have to do it by winning some stupid fight.
“I’ll do it.” Mario offered
Long story short Mario ended up kicking Dk’s ass.
And Dk was not happy about it.
You honestly felt a little bit sorry for him as he felt his whole reputation was destroyed by a plumber.
So you decided to take some personal time with the gorilla to assure him that it’s okay to loose every once and a while, you used the plenty of street races you had lost in the past as an example.
“Wait you race?” He asks, interrupting your story.
“Uh yeah? I love cars!” You gushed.
He smiled at you and pulled off the ground, now seeming very eager to show you something.
He brought you to the huge workshop where all the karts around the Jungle Kingdom were made.
You looked around as you saw all the other gorillas working on karts and vehicles of all kinds.
“This way.” Dk said placing his large hand on your back to guide you around the place since it was easy to get lost in.
He brought you over to a wheel with different options for a car, wheels, and a parachute of some sort.
“Go ahead, take your pick.”
You looked at him with wide eyes and looked back at all the options for your car.
“This doesn’t cost anything right?” You asked wanting to make sure before designing your dream car.
“You’re with the almighty Dk, of course it’s free.” He smirked.
You nodded and looked through all the options, making sure to pick all the fastest things on the wheel.
After about 10 minutes of looking you finally decided on your karts final design.
It was pretty sick, It was your favorite color and It was supposed to be the fastest kart combo here in the Jungle Kingdom
You squealed excitedly as you watched your kart being made from behind the glass
“Pretty cool huh?”
“Its amazing! We don’t have this stuff where I’m from.” You said, sounding slightly disappointed at the end of your sentence.
Dk thought you were pretty cute, never had he seen someone so interested in cars.
You and Dk didn’t notice but while you two were caught up in your own conversation you didn’t notice Mario and the others enter the workshop.
When Mario laid his eyes on you and Dk laughing together he was pretty mad about it.
“Are you kidding me?! You’ve been with him this whole time?!” Mario exclaimed angrily at you.
“Yeah and he helped me get my kart ready!” You smiled at your brother and pointed to the now finished kart in the window behind you.
Dk and your brother scowled at each other while you were off in your own world, staring longingly at your kart.
“Make any moves on her and I wont hesitate to beat you again.” Mario threatened.
“I’d like to see you try plumber boy.”
“Oh oh! It’s finished c’mon let’s go!” You interrupted their little banter by pulling Dk with you to come pick up your Kart.
When everyone was done with their karts, they made their way to line up in front of the door that would lead them to the path of rainbow road.
You and Dk were next to each other while you waited for the doors to open.
“Is Rainbow road an actual rainbow?” You asked.
Dk chuckled at your question but answered nonetheless.
“Yes its an actual rainbow.”
“Awesome!”
When the doors opened you sped off in your kart, the wind violently whipping through your hair.
You enjoyed the scenery around you, the beautiful floating islands off in the distance and the waterfalls that seemed to go on for miles.
Dk pulled up next to you and matched your speed so he could watch you experience driving with your new custom kart for the first time.
He saw how happy you were and couldn’t help but smile.
“You know…I know a lot of roads with cool views like this.” Dk said still keeping his eyes on the road.
“Really?! I would love to see it!”
“How about after all this is over, we’ll go drive through them together?” He asked you.
He was asking you on a date.
You smiled at him and accepted his offer.
“Yeah I would like that a lot.”
A/N: Sorry it came out kind of late I was busy today!!

I’m A Ghost Of You, You’re A Ghost Of Me Pt. 4
Pairing: Roronoa Zoro x reader
Content: strawhat reader, gender neutral reader, drinking in a bar, one mention of virginity (in a jokey way), mainly just reader and zoro talking, brief mention of fighting/canon typical violence, a tiny bit angsty, hurt/comfort
Word Count: 1.3k
A/N: this part is kind of like reader and zoro’s first date! just a lot of talking and some angsty feelings about failure :/ but with comfort! also i’ve never been to a bar or drank a ton (im 19) so im sorry if the descriptions of alcohol are inaccurate (but also zoro canonically drinks an insane amount without actually getting drunk so idk.) also im not really sure where i want the series to go from here so… leave suggestions? anyway, enjoy! <3
Part 3
Reverse Mountain and the encounter with Laboon served to bring you closer to your new crew in a matter of hours. Though you were the last to join in the East Blue, it felt like you’d already known them all a lifetime. Your place on the crew comes naturally to you as you work in tandem with the others to overcome these obstacles.
After the long day and several brushes with death, the Straw Hats arrive to an island called Whiskey Peak. The inhabitants, surprisingly, seem enthralled with your arrival. They welcome you all with open arms and invite the crew to free drinks and a night of fun at one of their bars. It’s a little suspicious to some, but you (being on the more naive and fresh side) see nothing wrong with it. And so, you all happily go along with their invitation.
Which is how you found yourself here: sitting on a barstool with a line of shot glasses before you.
“Gonna drink all that yourself?”
You look up and smile at the voice- Roronoa Zoro. “Nope, it’s for you.”
He sits besides you, “2… 8… You got me 10 shots?”
“I wasn’t sure what you drink. Besides, I said I’d treat you.”
You tell him what each drink is, he picks out 5, then slides the rest toward you. “Drink up, y/n.”
“Oh.. I, uh… I don’t really drink.” Especially not 5 shots at once, at that.
Zoro shrugs, “‘s your tab.”
You watch as he downs all 5 of the drinks he’s chosen, eyes wide in surprise that he was able to do so by the end. Then, he looks at you expectantly. Steeling yourself for what’s to come, you nod with a sense of duty and face your 5 shots. “Here goes nothing.”
The first burns a little, but it’s nothing you can’t handle (despite the look of disgust on your face.) The second has you coughing- only because you took it right after the first, of course. Zoro barks out a laugh and pats your back. You wave him off, “I’m fine, I’m fine…” and pick up the third. Still chuckling, he grabs your wrist (with the hand that isn’t rubbing your back in circles) and lowers it down to the table.
“I was kidding, don’t drink more than you can handle. Takes out all the fun.” He proceeds to down the 3 remaining shots, completely disregarding his previous statement.
“Well, you sure make it look easy.” The annoyance in your voice is evident.
“I’ve got a high tolerance. But you,” His arm is now resting on the back of your seat, and you feel a finger poke you square in the back. “are a lightweight.”
“I- hey! I am not a lightweight. Taking 8 shots just like that isn’t normal, you know.”
“Yeah, I’m better than normal.”
A soft smile spreads across your features. “You sure about that, Zoro?”
“Wh- Of course I’m sure. Why, you don’t think I am?”
You shrug, feigning nonchalance in order to mess with him. “I don’t know… that guy over there just finished his 12th drink of the night, sooo…”
“What guy? You’re kidding, I swear-“
Laughter erupts from your chest, similar to his own fit when you struggled to down the 2nd of your 2 drinks.
“Oh. Ha-ha, real funny y/n.”
“God, you’re so easy to mess with! What happened to the stoic swordsman I met on the beach last year?”
He shrugs, “Same guy.”
“Hm…” You’ve noticed that he seems to get a little defensive when you bring up that night. “Why don’t you want to talk about that night?”
“There’s nothing to talk about.”
“Zoro. C’mon, you can talk to me… We’re crew mates, right?”
He doesn’t say anything for a few moments; just looks down at the bar. “I failed. Plain and simple.”
“Oh…. because you didn’t bring me back to my island?”
“Yep.”
“I don’t think that’s the same as failure, you chose to-“
“You don’t get it, y/n. I couldn’t force you to go back. I wanted to, I was going to, but I couldn’t.”
“…Not to toot your horn, Zoro, but you’re plenty strong. I would’ve put up a good fight, but I’m not sure I would’ve won-“ You pat your arrow quiver, “especially not at such a close distance.”
“No. I really couldn’t.” Frustration begins to seep into his tone. “I couldn't find the- the strength or resolve. And I still don’t know why, but if things hadn’t just worked out in the end like they did…”
“But, they did, Zoro. And, I still don’t really understand what you mean, but just because you go against orders doesn’t mean you’re a failure or anything like that. You’re your own person.”
“I’m my own person who wants to fulfill my duties.”
“Even if it meant doing the wrong thing?”
“… I have my limits.”
“So then why are you beating yourself up over one task you didn’t carry out, especially one that wasn’t morally right? I’m biased, of course, but still…”
“’Cause I didn’t see anything wrong with it. But I just couldn't do it. I couldn’t have done anything that night if I’d wanted to- it’s like I was…” he trails off, shaking his head instead of finishing his sentence.
“Like you were what?”
Zoro shrugs. “Stunned.” If he were more of a romantic in his manner of speaking, he would’ve added something along the lines of “by you; by your smile and the way you move.”
“Hm. Well, for what it’s worth, I’m glad that you were. Or else I’d still be kicking it in a boring old house with boring people.”
He exhales sharply in a dry laugh. “Hmph. My pleasure.”
The rest of the night, which both of you seem to have forgotten is technically your first date, goes by in a flash. Zoro has another bottle and a half of sake, which you pay for while wondering how one person can drink so much and not seem inebriated. Soon enough, most everyone in the bar is knocked out- save for you, Zoro, the bartender, and a few stragglers.
“You haven’t had anything to drink all night.” He observes.
“Those shots were more than enough.”
Zoro shakes his head and waves over the bartender. “What’s your drink?”
You smile bashfully. “A shirley temple, please.”
He pays for your drink and the bartender whips it up in no time. “I thought I was supposed to be buying your drinks tonight.”
“You bought me 10 shots, then 2 bottles of sake; I won’t take offense. And, this non alcoholic garbage is cheap.”
“It is not garbage.”
“Fine, it’s just a kid’s drink.”
“It’s not for kids! It’s virgin.”
“Oh yeah?” He chuckles, then mumbles under his breath. “Bet you’d know a lot about that.”
You shove his shoulder with a scandalized gasp. “Zoro!”
He laughs once more, loud and bright and so full of joy that you can’t help but giggle along with him.

Thanks for the tip 🌹
Picture 1
This will be a key month for you. Perhaps initially you won't feel much is going on externally but your internal world creates a majority of your external world and you'll be realizing that. So once you completely grasp this concept you'll also start feeling more in control of your life without having to actively do something to go your way which includes anything apart from self discipline and inspired action. I.e you don't have to force anything to go your way, it will ultimately drain you.
You'll be establishing stronger boundaries and learning to control your anger, resentment and unhealthy impulses.
There's a theme of karmic justice as well.
Opting for peace of your mind rather than reacting.
You can look forward to establishing something for yourself whether it be a routine or a business. You will also have more confidence in your abilities instead of letting imposter syndrome take over.
The mindset or whatever it is that you set foundation for this month will eventually lead to your long term goals or set the course of events for the months to come.
Picture 2
Learn to trust your intuition / hunches / gut instincts / higher self / guides a little more instead of going for escapist tendencies.
Use your mind to your advantage without letting other people in on it, by that I mean genuinely make moves in silence because your future self is rooting for you.
I see you breaking away from certain traditions or mindsets that have kept you in a bubble for so long that you don't feel as happy anymore.
Likely you'll receive a lot of signs or symbolisms in your dreams or in the form of auditory messages (songs, frequencies, a friend saying something to you, you hearing something out of the blue or the voice inside your head guiding you.)
You'll get a chance to revisit something you had abandoned out of fear of not being good enough or from the fear of failure or being judged in the past.
You'll be suddenly called to do something or have an opportunity drop for you out of sheer curiosity or simple because you catered to your inner child more instead of constantly judging yourself for not having structure or routine.
You'll realize the more fun you have the easier you manifest especially when it comes to money.
I also see quick movement, communication and traveling.
Picture 3
Something left a deep wound in you for so long but this month you will finally heal from it. I see that you've grown extremely protective of your heart and yourself, almost like you'd rather have people go through an entire obstacle course in order to break down your walls.
I do see you healing from trauma and pain.
Your soul is preparing itself to seek what it always wanted and although you're conflicted, you know this is the way.
Your unsteady foundations will be breaking down and things will almost abruptly clear out for you. Manifestions will be instant, words will be spells.
This month is intensely transformative but instead of telling you "oh it's so heavy" etc I want to tell you to look forward to it and have fun.
Connect with your emotions a lot more, express them, do what makes you smile, nurture yourself and those you care for. Allow yourself to bloom and yet be a mystery and muse to others.
You have one foot in this reality and other in several other realities, perhaps dreams will feel extremely vivid and you may feel drained. Some of you could be readers or healers too, please look after yourself and rest.
I see a secret admirer or perhaps more than one wanting to be near you. I just see you being admired in general as you continue to heal and do your own little things honestly.
I also see you more fixated towards your goals. Remember you don't have to hold on too tightly to anything (esp materialistic things) when you know they'll already come to you with ease eitherway.

The Stardust Conspiracy (Part 4)
Read on Ao3 here!
(Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3)
Rated: G | Words: 2139 | Summary: The truth finally comes out about Stardust
“Is this it?” Hunter asks, holding up a metal latch.
Echo barely glances at it before resuming his search through his own crate of miscellaneous parts. “No.”
Hunter drops the latch back into the crate with a heavy clang. “What did Tech say he needed these parts for?”
“He didn’t say specifically. Just that it was for a critical upgrade.”
“Well, it’s turning into a critical headache,” Hunter grumbles, halfheartedly rummaging. They’d been at this for hours, scouring the market for a list of parts Tech had given them. The list maker himself had conveniently needed to make some repairs to the main console and enlisted Omega’s help, leaving Echo, Hunter, and Wrecker to do the supply run. Wrecker had disappeared about half an hour ago, claiming a vital errand but Hunter knew his brother was circling back to the vendor selling sweets they had passed earlier in the day.
Echo holds up a part. “This is what we’re looking for. I thought you said you checked in here.”
“That’s not at all what you described.”
“It’s exactly what I described!”
Hunter rolls his eyes, conceding the argument. “Well, at least we found it. Now we can find Wrecker and get back to the ship.”
After haggling over the price with the shopkeeper, Hunter comms Wrecker to get his location. Based on the hem and hawing, he knows that the giant clone probably spent more credits on whatever snack food he’d discovered than they probably paid for all of Tech’s random parts.
“I’ll meet ya back at the ship,” Wrecker decides, booming voice tinny through the comm. He signs out quickly.
“I wonder how much his little errand is gonna set us back,” Echo muses as they pick their way through the crowded sidewalks.
Hunter huffs, sounding vaguely amused. “We can afford to let the kids have their fun once in a while.”
<<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>>
Omega watches Tech work on the Marauder’s main console, adjusting a lever that has been sticking. He is hoping to have the repair done before their brothers get back from their supply run in town. While Omega doesn’t want to distract him, she gauges by his unhurried movements, that the task is nearly completed. He is simply taking his time.
Leaning forward, Omega poses the question that has been forming all afternoon. “You know, don’t you?”
Tech doesn’t even look away from his project. “I know many things. You’ll have to be more specific.”
Omega rolls her eyes and grins. “About Stardust,” she clarifies.
This earns Tech’s full attention, and Omega catches the mischievous glint in his eye as he turns to meet her gaze. “Ah. About the criceto housed next to the nav computer. Yes. I am aware of her presence.”
“Have you known all along?” Omega asks.
Tech puts his tools aside, arranging them by size, as a rare and wry smile appears. “Not all along. But since late the first night, yes. She and I are well acquainted.”
“You also found her the day she escaped,” Omega says.
Tech chuckles. “Yes, I did. What gave me away? Besides the fact that a creature of her size would find it nearly impossible to return to her enclosure given its location.”
“When I was cleaning her cage, I found more seeds than I’ve ever given her,” Omega says. She giggles. “You spoil her, Tech!”
Tech scoffs, but the accusation sticks. “I retrieved her, didn’t I? She was just being fairly compensated for her cooperation.”
Omega smiles widely. “I knew you’d love her!”
“I am fond of her,” Tech allows, demurring the use of the word love. “She has proven to be an engaging companion during late watch shifts. I have been training her to sit on my shoulder. She seems to be enraptured by the glow of hyperspace.”
“You can train her?” Omega is in absolute awe.
“Of course,” Tech says, “I have been researching the behaviors and habits of cricetos. They are incredibly intelligent. They’ve even been known to complete complex obstacle courses with the proper incentives.”
Omega gasps. “Can we build Stardust an obstacle course?”
Tech is practically glowing in the brilliance of his sister’s enthusiasm. “Absolutely. I’ve already drawn up a few plans if you’d like to look over them. I’d value your input.” He brandishes a data pad, taps through some files, then hands it over to Omega.
She is pouring over the first schematic when realization strikes. “If you’ve known about Stardust all this time, why wouldn't you tell us? Hunter, Echo and Wrecker think you haven’t noticed her yet.”
“I’m conducting an experiment,” Tech replies easily. “How long before they realize there is no keeping stowaways on my ship without my knowledge…it has proven to be an amusing study.”
“What if they never figure it out?” Omega asks.
Tech turns back to his project. “Oh, I’m sure they will figure it out soon enough.”
<<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>>
Omega smells something wonderfully sweet alongside the sound of Wrecker bounding up the ramp. “I’m home!” he bellows, “And I brought a surprise!”
Omega looks to Tech to make sure he doesn’t need any more help, and he tips his head slightly to indicate that she’s free to go. She runs out into the main area to meet her biggest brother. Wrecker is holding a box overflowing with pastries. They are warm and fresh and beautiful, curls of steam floating off of them.
Omega bounces on her toes. “I can’t believe Hunter and Echo let you get all that!” she says excitedly, eyeing a specific baked good dripping in icing.
Wrecker makes a face. “They might not know about it yet. It was kind of a surprise for all of you.”
“You forget they know you, Wrecker,” Tech says, coming in to replace the tool kit to its shelf. “The moment you disappeared from their sight, they knew you were going to get a treat of some kind.”
“That’s not true!” Wrecker balks while Omega laughs.
As if summoned, Hunter and Echo appear, Hunter holding the crate of supplies on his shoulder. “At least tell me you got something that’s actually good this time,” Hunter says, dropping the box by the door.
“Mantel Mix is good!” Wrecker argues, “But this is even better!”
“Well, put them away in the warmer for now,” Echo says, “Healthy food first.”
“Aw,” Wrecker and Omega protest in unison.
“None of that,” Hunter says. “Echo’s right. Late meal first.”
While Wrecker and Omega continue to wheedle with Hunter, Tech approaches the box of supplies with a critical eye. “You found everything on my list?” he asks Echo.
“Took us most of the day,” Echo says, waving his scomp at the offending items, “but yes, we found everything on your list.”
Tech brightens. “Excellent! I will be able to start on that critical upgrade later tonight.”
“What exactly is this upgrade again?” Echo asks.
“Oh, I didn’t tell you?” Tech looks vaguely surprised, although Echo gets the impression it is not genuine.
The cyborg frowns. “No. You didn’t.”
“Must’ve slipped my mind,” Tech says elusively, but he doesn’t elaborate. Instead, he turns to intervene in the argument that Hunter is on the verge of losing.
What are you up to? Echo wonders.
<<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>>
Late meal is a compromise of nutritional rations and incredibly unhealthy pastries, much to Wrecker and Omega’s delight. Tech had unexpectedly changed sides during the debate, saying that if Wrecker had already spent all those credits on fresh pastries, they might as well consume them while they were at optimal temperature. He had been awarded a huge smile and brief hug from Omega for his contribution to the cause. Hunter didn’t miss the trace of an indulgent grin on Tech’s face as he gave their little sister a single pat on top of her feathery blond head in response.
Hunter knows he really should just come clean about the criceto. Tech might resist the idea for a while, but he’d come around when he saw how good having a pet is for Omega. They’d had Stardust for nearly a standard month now...Hunter isn’t sure how he is going to explain that.
Late meal finishes, and Hunter begins to work on how he is going to break the news to Tech. He has come up with a few subtle openers when Tech enters the main room with the crate of supplies they’d bought that day. He starts laying the pieces out on the table, muttering to himself as he inspects each one.
“Yes,” he says out loud after everything is in whatever order he has deemed useful, “these will do quite nicely. Hunter, I wonder if you’d be so kind as to retrieve Stardust’s cage for me?”
The silence that follows the offhanded request is so dense, even Hunter’s vibroknife couldn’t cut through it.
Tech tilts his head, looking puzzled. “Is something wrong?” he asks Hunter when the silence has stretched to a painfully awkward length.
Hunter isn’t sure when his mouth dropped open, but he snaps it shut, teeth audibly clacking together. “The parts...” Hunter begins, pauses, restarts, “You said you needed parts for a critical upgrade?”
Tech nods slowly, as though he is dealing with a particularly stupid life form. “I believe altering Stardust’s cage so that she is not escaping into the interior of the ship at odd hours would be considered a critical upgrade.”
“Kriff, Tech!” Echo bursts out, “How long have you known?”
Tech gives his cyborg brother a wounded look, but there is a glimmer of mirth behind the tinted glass of his goggles. “I understand that I am the one with enhanced cerebral processing, but did any of you actually think I wouldn’t notice a criceto in a cage next to the nav computer on my ship?”
Omega is the first one to laugh outright, her melodic giggling breaking through the building tension. Wrecker and Echo immediately follow her example, laughter explosive.
“So, wait,” Hunter says, “You’ve known since...”
Tech rolls his eyes. “I’ve known since the very first night, Hunter.”
Hunter feels the warmth of embarrassment burn across his face.
Tech gives him a lopsided grin, obviously relishing the situation. “I also know that our little friend was able to evade your enhancement after her escape, which is why I employed my own tactics and found her myself.”
“You found her?” Echo gasps between hysterics.
“Of course, I found her,” Tech says, “Did you really think a creature of her size could climb back into her cage of her own power?”
Hunter rubs a hand down his face. “I’m an idiot.”
“You’re all idiots,” Tech corrects him wryly, “The exception being Omega who figured out I’d known about Stardust for an extensive period of time.”
“Tech’s even trained Stardust to sit on his shoulder, and we are going to build her an obstacle course!” Omega pipes up excitedly.
While Omega continues to explain the specifics of the theorized obstacle course in great detail, Hunter meets Tech’s eye. His brother offers him a subtle grin and a wink. Hunter shakes his head and smiles. He should’ve known Tech would love having a little creature to study in the comforts of their wayfaring home.
<<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>>
Stardust is perched in the hollow of Tech’s neck and shoulder, contentedly nibbling at seeds Tech offers her when Hunter enters the cockpit. Hunter drops into the copilot’s seat with a smile. “Looks like you’re Stardust’s best friend.”
Tech is looking at his data pad. “Bribery is an excellent resource when it comes to earning the affection of animals.”
“So, you spoil her,” Hunter deadpans.
Tech chuckles. “Perhaps, but I doubt you have tried to resist her request for more seeds when she puts out her paws. She can be very persuasive.”
“Is that your way of saying she’s cute?”
“If that is how you interpret it, I wouldn’t disagree,” Tech says. He sets aside his data pad and turns to face Hunter fully. “Have you had much opportunity to interact with the creature?”
Hunter shakes his head.
Tech promptly puts his hand up to Stardust, and the criceto climbs into his hand. Tech offers the fluff ball to Hunter. “Here, I think you will better understand my plight if you have first-hand experience.”
Hunter hesitates a moment but puts out his hand. Stardust sniffs at him skeptically. Tech drops several seeds into Hunter’s palm. Stardust perks up immediately, whiskers twitching and feet carefully climbing out of Tech’s hand and into Hunter’s.
“Omega was right. I can barely even feel her in my hand,” Hunter marvels under his breath.
“She only weighs approximately one hundred grams,” Tech informs him.
Stardust is busily tucking the seeds into her cheek pouches, and once they are gone, she gazes up at Hunter expectantly, paws reaching, minuscule fingers splayed.
Tech was right. How can Hunter possibly say no to that?

Sorry I'm just gonna ramble about the Nailmasters and Sly for a moment. I recently read some fics which has reignited my love for this game.
These are mostly unorganized thoughts.
It's been so long since I've played this game, but I remembered really liking them, and would sometimes visit them for fun. They were really nice to see in this dying world despite the strain in their relationship, it's funny too in a sad way because they're the only family that is left alive yet they're separated. Really hope that they make amends at somepoint after when the game ends. The only other few bugs who are left are the ones who reside in Dirtmouth and in Kingdom's Edge but those guys are in their own world.
How did the Nailsmith traverse that obstacle course near Sheo's home?? Asuming that the shortcut isn't a thing, even so how did he fit through that tiny gap jump that required a specific move??? Dude and Cornifer have secrets they're not sharing. (I died 100 times when I first did it)
Sheo/Nailsmith and Cornifer/Iselda makes me happy, I love finding the little bit of happiness in hopeless scenarios.
I like imagining Sly being a father to 3 children who grew practically four times the size he is. He needs a personal stool or jump on them if he needs to scold them. Nobody likes it when the fly pulls out the stool.
Thinking how his furniture was most likely him sized before meeting the kids and they either had to get new furniture or the brothers just grew used to using tiny tables and stuff.
Still never fought Sly though.
Mato was a surprise to see when I first met him, for a place that is supposedly secret without knowing, you think that he would be a boss and there's even a bench. But no he's there meditating. I go to him when Gorb gave me a tuff time.
Mato is great. :)
I don't go to Oro often since there's not much for me in that area, but I think he thinks lowly of the colosseum. Also seeing raining corpses is not a nice view, though I guess he grew desensitized to it.
Ghost makes the whole family feel a little bit of pain after showing off the nail arts and charm and they've learned from each of them. Glad to know that they're alive somewhere but it's been so long since they've seen each other. (but also there's still that tension between Mato and Oro)
Wondered what Sheo and Sly felt when that fight happened between the other brothers. Was Sheo already thinking about giving up the Nail, was the argument partly the reason? Or was it something he decided later on? I like to think Sly tried to reason with them (as well as Sheo) but whatever it was, it's clear that they should not be involved.
Uh I'm done now, but I want to share the fics I've read.
Tales of a Nailsage
Tales of a Sage
Ticky Wicky
Funeral Plinth
Mind's Creation
Oro and Mato are Dumbasses (I like a nice silly fic once in a while)

Heyy.. since you liked the previous Ramattra request so much I might have another one..? :D I've had this idea where somebody keeps leaving Ramattra anonymous small gifts during his time in the monastery. How does he react when the secret admirer turns out to be a super secret human admirer with a not so secret crush on him? Obviously Ramattra is the only one who doesn't realize that somebody has feelings for him. Such a classic situation xD Maybe headcanons or a short story? Up to you! Thanks!
notes: OMG I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO WRITE THIS ONE FRRR. You have the coolest ideas and I just love writing requests for you! this one is so creative and just super fun to write, so thank you <333 thanks for all of your support! have an amazing day and stay super duper hydrated <3
Secret Admirer - Ramattra
word count: 674
warnings: probably typos, but nothing other than that
Tumblr media
It was snowing. Nearly a blizzard. It's not like Ramattra could feel the cold, but he knew he would have to head inside. The monastery had warm light and was always quiet. Full of other omnics who needed a place of refuge, somewhere to call home for a little while. There were some humans, which was a hard obstacle for Ramattra to cross, but seeing as most of them wanted to help the omnics and rebuild their lives made Ramattra hopeful. Just a bit.
He greeted omnics as he walked in and headed over to the room where he spends most of his time praying, his staff hitting the ground with every step he took.
The room was empty, as it usually was, and snow was falling into the room diluting all sound around him.
Then, he saw it again. Another present.
For the past two weeks, there have been small presents left behind in the room. At first, he had believed that these gifts were for the monastery or for the sake of prayer, but he began to notice that they were really for him. There would be notes attached or simply just a gift with his name on it, but never theirs.
He never figured out who it was. He never saw anyone come into the room, so it confused him, but at the same time, it brought him a bit of joy.
---
"Why don't you just tell him, y/n?" An omnic had asked you as you were fixing her up. "I think it's pretty dang obvious that you like him."
"I don't even think he knows my name," you giggled. "Plus, I think it's fun having this little secret. He'll never know." You put your finger in front of your mouth to signal that you wanted this secret to keep going.
If the omnic could roll her eyes, she would've. "When you have the rare chance of talking to him, you have goo goo eyes. I think he knows."
"Do I make it that obvious?!" You buried your bright red face in the palms of your hands.
The omnic gave you a supportive pat on the back. "Look, y/n, why does that have to be a bad thing necessarily?"
You looked at her in shock. "I'm a human!"
"So?"
"It's kind of known by the whole world that Ramattra hates humans."
"But you've been so kind to us and to him, I don't see the problem."
You jokingly rolled your eyes and stood up, collecting your things. "Well, I think it's fun being anonymous."
"Are you dropping off another present today?"
"Did Ramattra go home already?"
"I'm pretty sure he did."
"Well, I guess I'll be off then. To drop of the gift. I hope your recovery goes well."
You waved to the omnic and headed over to Ramattra's part of the monastery. You decided to get him a new candle. Something new to light up the dark halls.
As you walked into his room, you froze. His giant figure was standing in the room, as if he was waiting for you.
"Ah, y/n. How are you?" He asked.
You quickly hid the candle behind your back and smiled. "Hey Ramattra. I-I'm good! How are you?"
He chuckled and walked towards you, tilting your chin up with his staff to look at him. "I'm good. Thank you for all of the gifts these past couple of weeks."
Your face flushed a bright red. "Y-Yeah, of course. S-Sorry."
He took the candle from behind your back. "Don't apologize. Why were they for me?"
Oh god. He didn't know.
"I... uh.... they uh..."
Ramattra tilted his head and you took a breath. "Did you read any of the notes?" You asked, a little embarrassed.
"Secret admirer." He said faintly before coming to a realization. "Ah, I see now." He looked down at you a little shocked.
"Sorry." You said, looking down at your hands.
He kneeled down to your level and lifted your chin with his index finger. "Don't apologize."

Going on a adventure
Tumblr media
━━━━━━━⊱✿⊰━━━━━━━
Well if you want to prove that you are capable of going on this adventure with me. Your going to have to go throw this obstacle course first.
He said as he leaned on the tail of the floating balcony. Looking up at the sky before looking down at you with a smug face.
Or you don’t do it and can stay here a chicken out.
You then returned the smug face and lean a bit forward to him.
What? Think I can’t do it your highness?
Leo then pushed himself off the railing as he got in the middle of the floating balcony. He then becan to stretch out his arms and legs.
Well if your so confident in thinking that you can do it. Watch and then show me that you can do it.
Leo told you with a even bigger smug grin on his face than before running off the balcony on to a few blocks. Then over a few with spikes on top of then.
Next jumped to the left side to a few yellow blocks on to a higher blocks. Then he jumped on top of a few of the robotic piranha plants.
Elevating him to the highest of the blocks. He then docked down sliding on the blocks under him to dodge the mechanical fire row.
He then got on a few metal plat form bricks that then turned red when he ran on them and started to fall after tuning red.
Through out his run in the obstacles course he had a smile the whole time. Showing he wasn’t scared at all and was actually having fun doing the course.
Finally he jumped on top off some mechanic bullet bills that aimed at he as he was so close to getting back to the balcony.
He then jumped on the last bullet bill giving him a final push to get to the flag in the middle of the balcony. Twirling around the pole for a few before ending up back we’re he was at the beginning.
The whole time you watched him you realized that this was exactly like the Mario games just in real life.
Whoa! Now I got the blood pumping!
He said as he jumped around a bit and throwing a few punches like a child hyping himself up.
You think you can do something like that?
Leo said as he stoped and looked over at you. Waiting for a response to come out of you and a bit of curiosity of wanting to know what you can do.
He then saw you staring at him with a shocked face and mouth open.
Wow…what..ho-how did you do that?!
Leo then started to to get a bit of a ego bust from how you complemented and was so amazed by him.
Well I have a lot of talent plus I trained a lot. Well enough about me and my amazing talent. Time for you to show me what you can do human?
He then walked over to you and he gave you a small teasing smut as if he was challenging you.
We’ll just give me a moment to see how I’m going to do this.
You then walked around the balcony looking at the placement of everything. Thinking of how you were going to do it and the timing of things.
As you did Leo then walked over to the end of the balcony leaning back on it. As he got in a position to see all of the obstacle course.
Ok we have all afternoon to do this. Well until sundown then we have to go to inside for dinner and bed for the night. Other than that take your time.
Oh that’s good to hear I thought I needed to do this quickly to not waist your time.
You then got to the center of the balcony and started to run. Jumping of the last seconds as you then landed on a few lower pathway of bricks.
You then kept run then jumped to the side on small wall. You pushed your self of it as you get on a higher platform that had the spinning fake fire balls. You then slide down on your legs like a baseball player avoiding them.
Quickly getting up after as you keep running until you stoped at a green pip. You ducked down under it as the mechanic piranhas plant popped out of the pip for a bit before going back in.
After it got back into the pipe you then jumped over it and jumped on top of the next one. Before it could fully get out there pipe giving you a little jump to get to a higher ground. You got on a spring that pushed you up to a golden plat form.
As you got on one of the gold tiles you stared to run since the tiles turned red and stared to fall down after being stepped on.
You quicker got the end to the tiles as you saw the fake bullet bills getting ready to launch. You jumped off the last time as the bullet bills were shoot out in your direction.
You jumped on top of three bullet bills as you got closer to there you stated. You then gave your self one final push of a last bullet bill.
You then looked at the flag pole and saw the completely shocked face that Leo was making.
Tumblr media
Wow never thought I’ll see a human do something like that!
Leo then go off the edge of the balcony and went up to you. Putting his hands on your shoulders.
Well it’s decided. You will be coming with me to the Boom Kingdom on the way to to Boo Kingdom. So we can find a way to get you home.
You then smiled at the fact that your going to find a way home.
Grate! When can we go!
Oh well be heading there starting tomorrow morning after breakfast!
Leo told you as he then pressed a block that made the balcony to go back to the castle.
Well it’s almost dark so it’s better to wait until tomorrow. So we can get everything ready to go.
Oh ok then.
You then went into the castle as the two of you walked for a bit in the hallway.
Well In the mean time we’ll have dinner.
He said as you both entered into a lavish dinner room with a big table in the middle of the room.
As the two of you ate you both had questions for each other.
I don’t want to be rude, but what exactly…are you?
You asked a bit nervous as you looked down at you food.
Oh I’m a turtle. Isn’t it obvious what I am?
Well, no sense since turtles in my world, don’t look the same as you.
Wow really! That’s a shocker!
After dinner you went back to the room that you were earlier that was now you room. As Leo called it.

Insanely basic tips for writing fights:
So... You wanna throw some characters at other characters and tell them to kill each other, huh? Well, in order to make all that interesting, ya gotta consider these tips first.
1. I've been in martial arts for over six years and animation for just as long. So of course I'm going to suggest you plebs do a little research first. Wanna know how it feels to punch someone? Punch someone. Wanna know how it feels to get punched? Come over to my place.
Even learning simple stuff like rolls, stretches, differing exercises, and the most basic of techniques can help out a ton. At the very least, it'll keep people from making this face at you: ಠ_ಠ
You don't have to go all out like me, but at least learning the fundamentals of physics and how certain injuries will affect the fight can help. Take these fun little tip for example: there's a vein on the neck that, when hit properly, will make you instantly pass out. It only takes eight seconds to choke someone out to the point of fainting as long as you're holding them right..and if you keep it up, then just wait five minutes and they'll be dead. Anywhere in-between can give them serious head injuries they'll likely never recover from. There are a thousand more, but I'll stop there. Trust me. I've learned more about biology from karate than from actual Biology class.
2. I feel like this is also a given, but at the very least, know what your surroundings are. Find ways to implement the setting into the fight creatively.
Example: two people are fighting in the desert and one tosses sand into the other's eyes. Or, two people are fighting in that same desert, but the one currently losing is being shoved into the sand, choked alive by all the granules.
Also please remember that when your characters are in extreme heat or freezing settings, they will fight differently. Maybe it's even the setting itself that is slowly killing the fighters, and the battle is really all about who can last the longest.
At the very least, I'd suggest you do two things in case you have a hard time with this one. (1) gather images of the setting, or at least settings like it. Then, take note of all the elements, obstacles, and even ambiance involved. (2) pick out objects to scatter about the setting that your characters can later pick up and use in the fight. Just make sure they have to do with the setting.
3. The destination of the fight can greatly impact the "vibe."
In the sky: superman level fights, typically very grandiose, larger than life, and impressive (even if written realistically). These are great locations for if/when you're trying to make your character look cool in some way.
On top of buildings/canyons: similarly grand but with more emphasis on stakes. You typically want that sense of uneasiness every time the main character sways or is knocked a little too far away. These scenes are often used around a climax thanks to the perfect level of grandiose tension and realism. It's a great way to get your character on edge and reveal their true feelings, mainly fear.
On the ground, outside: these fights are often much more grounded than most. Often deals with a lot of running/trying out other options beyond fighting. Typically, you're trying to establish what kind of a fighter your character is in these fights + what their morals may be.
On the ground, inside: oddly enough, this is where it gets personal. Mostly because I usually think of someone's home or a grocery store where every action means something. This is typically where the most drama takes place. I'd definitely suggest you lean into the importance of the setting they are fighting in much more than the setting of other fights. (This is also where every word counts.)
Underground: by far one of my personal favorites. The claustrophobia one can draw from these settings is truly something else. The most grounded of any other fight setting. This is where I like to strip the flashy powers and magic from my characters and let them brawl the old fashioned way, getting dirty and going all out. Down here, every punch matters.
There are of course more, but these are the basics!
4. Similar to the first step, please know how the weapons your characters are using work!
5. And of course no fight is complete without (A) build up, (B) understandable reasons for the characters to fight, and (C) clear stakes/what would be lost or gained if either were to lose. Remember, a fight is just an argument acted out. Keeping that in mind will make the whole process so much easier.
Anyways, that's just about it. I could ramble some more, but these are supposed to be the basics!
Anyways, I hope to see you guys again. Thanks for your time. And, seeya!

wip wednesday saturday
one of those "I can't tag anyone else because I don;t know who to tag" situations, but thank you @r6shippingdelivery for tagging me in the first place <3
it's been a hot minute, so I'm gonna post a couple WIPs - the first being a muze wip from the early days of Rainbow, the second being a wip chapter from my Gentle Progress rewrite, Set in Motion, and the third being from a Fallen Hero wip because I am fucking rotted by this game-
ANYWAY, IT'S ALL UNDER THE CUT
first is from Early Days, which is the mute/fuze thing that just... bites at my heels
The party was loud. Too loud, really, but Mark had grown somewhat accustomed to the way the team liked to celebrate. With new arrivals from Japan to liven the party further, Mark had ducked out to get a breath of fresh air and hopefully escape the party altogether. He had never been one for parties in the first place, having never been quite old enough to be invited to any among his peers, and had little interest in learning to enjoy them. With a flimsy excuse about needing to finish his latest prototype improvement for MONI, he’d escaped a lecture from Mike – a well-intentioned lecture about needing to learn how to socialize, but a lecture nonetheless – and slipped out of the mess hall. A walk to clear his head and ground himself would do him some good, and then he’d go back to his ideal holiday activity; six hours spent coding something for fun rather than for a deadline. It’d be quiet until the operators came back from the holiday party disappointingly sober yet still all too happy to carry on their chatter, but by that time he hoped to be well and truly too tired to care. As he tugged his hood up and prepared to take the short walk around the obstacle course that he had come to well and truly despise, he heard the steady pace of another set of boots on another late-night jog. He raised his head to look down the track with furrowed brows, only to be met with the now-familiar figure of Kessikbayev. The smell of fresh cigarettes overpowered the smell of the rain and Mark was suddenly glad for the mask that covered his face and hid the way he cringed at the smell. “You weren’t at the party,” Mark commented as the older man slowed to a stop under the overhang. Shuhrat raised a brow as he shook his head to get rid of the excess water. “No.” The answer was simple and curt, and Mark felt a twinge of relief. “You have left it.” “Too loud.” It was as much an excuse as it was a reasonable explanation. “You done jogging?” “Yes.” The older man paused and gave a sidelong nod toward the barracks. He was done for the night, Mark assumed, but they were heading the same way. “Mind company?” “No.”
This second part is for Set in Motion, but it's a ways away
"I brought a peace offering." Jayce's boots were heavy on the old steel floors but just controlled enough that Viktor could tell the man was being conscious about his approach. He stared at the wall as the Piltovan approached and placed something glass on the dusty old bedside table,  immediately followed by a retreat and the sound of his colleague circling around to the other side of the bed. The silence was so thick that he wondered if a bullet could kill it. "Can we talk?"  The bed creaked as Jayce sat on the other side, the dip in the old mattress just enough for the Zaunite to notice. He refused to turn over and look at the man, something bitter built up in his heart.  "Or maybe I can just… talk. I… I know I fucked up. I should have listened to you but instead, I paraded myself down an alley because I heard something. Even after you warned me that it's dangerous down here." Viktor listened as the Piltovan continued, aching hand slowly relaxing. "I was an idiot. And an asshole. And if your friend Vi wasn't there I probably would have ended up dead in a back alley instead of alive with a few new scars." Viktor looked at the pattern on the pillowcase. He wanted to be something mad, to be angry enough to yell at Jayce again, and found himself empty of it. The hollow cavity in his chest felt only slightly cracked, but enough to keep his attention on what his colleague was saying.  "I don't know what I'm doing. Obviously. I nearly - I did hurt people down there. And I… I'm… I didn't realize how upset it would make you or how dangerous it was or… or anything like that and now I feel like I've crushed your good will for me into the ground and I hate that more because you… you. You. You're smart. You're leagues beyond anyone else I've ever met, like the Lady of Progress herself made you to force me to change. You've never once been hesitant to tell me when I'm wrong or a jackass or just not being the best I could be." The Zaunite shifted his bad leg to stretch it slightly. "Such as your misconception about Shuriman naming conventions. You insisted upon yourself so loudly." "Yeah, exactly," Jayce replied, his voice tinged with an emotion Viktor couldn't place. "You damn near threw the history book at me. My point is, I don't want to lose you because you're one of my only friends. I just… I don't know how to be a good friend. I've never had many. Most people think I'm an asshole on purpose but half the time I can't even tell if they're mad at me or happy with me and the other half I can't tell their facial expressions apart."  The bed shifted again, the dip shifting into a full, familiar, comfortable weight behind him that made him ashamed and relieved at the same time. He wanted to turn around and look at his roommate, his friend, to encourage him and reward him with the end goal. Viktor knew better.  "I don't know how to be a good friend. I'm barely a good person. I know this because most of why I haven't built a city-leveling bomb is the morals of those around me. But I want… I want to be good for you. And I don't know where to start because I feel like every time I start to do something I'm inevitably gonna fuck up. Maybe not as bad as this excursion, but I still think about how angry you were when you left the play. I never want to do that to you again and here I am,  somehow doing something even worse. I think I'm asking for forgiveness, maybe? Or guidance. Just… I want to know how to..." "Fix it?" "You know me. There's nothing I can't fix, right?"
and the last bit is fallen hero, also very rusty, but also vaguely??? nsfw?? it's meant to be intimate but not necessarily sexual idk
The dreams had a strange mercy for once in that he could see nothing, but in exchange, his mind had conjured something far worse; a fantasy he could touch, smell, and hear. He didn’t need to see to feel Chen knelt in front of him, broad form settled between his thighs as a solid anchor among uncertainty. He needed a reason – and his mind provided, familiar hands pulling a blindfold tight over his eyes and the tickle of an all too familiar beard along the edge of one shoulder. Chen knew his strength. He kept one rough, weathered hand flat against Cole's lower spine to keep him still as he pressed quiet kisses against the warm, soft skin. Teeth grazed the edge of the ink that lined the smaller man's collarbone in fractal patterns too tightly interwoven to discern with the naked human eye; bruises bloomed over his neck and chest like flowers carefully embroidered into cloth too fragile to hold them. Held still as if he’d fall apart if Chen dared let go. Ortega had learned to be careful. His hands were softer than the Marshal’s, but just as grounding as they rested on his waist. Warm lips pressed to the nape of his neck, the scrape of a well-trimmed beard along the dip of his shoulder just as ticklish as it was when they kissed. He held the telepath as if he could save Cole from falling again, as if he could hold him close and somehow save him without knowing what he was saving him from. Like a hero should, if they could. It was too much to bear, not enough to fill the aching hole in his chest. Like filling an ocean one rainstorm at a time, bringing life from extinction. Washing away the barren empty with nothing more than a rag and their tears, they had no intention of letting him slip from their hands a second time. Monsters and all. Don’t touch me, his mind whispered in an instinctive flinch, I don’t know how not to bite.
