OLD DRAFT CONCEPT : " GUARD DOG "
Tumblr media
—- not my gif, credit to original poster! -—
Wanda Maximoff x Werewolf! GN/Female/Male Reader (x slight Natasha Romanoff)
A/N — Here's a little bedtime story for ya'll. Old draft concept for an upcoming and looong oneshot for Wanda in a mafia au setting. Bits and pieces may be recognised in the published column plot wise but overall, we're taking an alternate route, my babbies.
WORD COUNT — 2.2k
READER DISCRETION — Alcohol consumption — mafia business and semi dark themes — profanity — mention of death and murder — mention of black market and auction — reader and Nat have some history — player reader Tony is so proud — Alexander Pierce is of course an arsehole, what else is new? — Rumlow is a bad guy (duh) — I think that's it?
An expensive investment. A broad term to use for a werewolf broken in by the system at a young age. But it’s true.
Alexander Pierce, the finance manager and ringleader as a whole, did all he could to break you in, and to say he did is an understatement. He exceeded the limits you once believed you had and once you were ready, he put you out in the field to garner your reputation.
You had no limits. Ruthless in your endeavour to complete whatever task was required of you, prepared to do whatever it took, your peers could only look at you with both fear and admiration.
When all was said and done, you were given your collar, then sold through the underground hub for criminals: the black market.
That’s when you learnt in the span of the few minutes that the auction lasted for, that you were either a trophy to those of the higher class of crime, or a very wanted source of security and war. From black funding operators that had their hand in the military’s pit on the hunt for a war hound, to the gangster overlords who controlled territories in the differing states and countries, requiring some form of high end security, there was a very rapid increase in the price they were each willing to pay.
At a total of twenty-five million, your collar and services were sold to Mr. Tony Stark. From the sleek fit of a light grey, three piece suit and bright pink tie, Stark had a brighter outlook on the window of his underhand activities. He was the type that lounged back in the severity of his criminal dealings.
Unlike his fellow company who each wore darker palette suits of either navy blue or jet black. He stood out for sure as his auburn tinted glasses did little to hide the one question on his mind: Was his money well spent?
Well, to say at the very least, you wouldn’t be here tonight if you weren’t every single cent he spent on you three years ago.
Thinking about the memory now, this is a different tone entirely. Dark and neon is how you remember the black market scene, stalls and cube stores with an assortment of supplies anyone in the business would need, whether that be for the amateurs - which were the usual target customers - or the smaller businesses which belonged to small cluster gangs.
The big time runners had designated storehouses to spare where they obtained their supplies, and ran other dealings and hand-offs in and out of private rooms in the clubs.
Here, the scene is warm, lavish and made for those who seek the comfort in living in marble halls and pristine white pillars, short cut grass and elaborate parties such as this one.
“Shit, this party is awfully chipper for someone who died last week,” you huff, eyes scanning the crowd from the smooth, darkly polished bar, which you incidentally found very comfortable to lean back on when told for the hundredth time, “Just sit tight, just a little bit longer.”
You didn’t have the time nor patience to sit around getting older by the damn minute. Thankfully, Tony put his card behind the bar so that meant an endless river of drinks. Because you needed the alcohol. A lot.
Not a moment too late is your glass refilled with your refreshment.
“Please, Y/N,” sighs Steve from your right side, arms folded over his chest, navy blue suit straining just a bit too tightly against his body, “have some respect for the Maximoff family. They lost their only male heir to a deal gone wrong. They need our support.”
Your shoulders rise with a particular deep inhale before falling lax, you swirl the sliver of whiskey left in your glass and with a jerk of your wrist you finish it. Ice rattles in your glass as you shimmy it, indicating you need a refill and pronto.
“People live, people die. You cross someone and you get shot in the back. It happens.”
“He was gunned down in the streets with a fucking machine gun, Y/N. You consider that a mere oopsie?”
You shrug in response to Sam’s question with a pout of your bottom lip. “Pietro thought he was the shit. That’s what got him killed by Rumlow.”
Sam runs a hand over his face, now distressed by the lack of sincerity you show for the grieving family. “For fuck sake…”
In the three years of your loyal work to the Stark family and those of his brotherhood - his allies - your colours shone through immensely to reveal a shining personality. Excluding the fact you’d become something of a playful rogue with the women.
You simply chalk it up to your animal magnetism. Something that leaves them wanting more whenever in the presence of your company.
In fact, that was how Tony came to own unclaimed establishments and clubs in the boroughs, ones he wasn’t able to get his hands on before, but after he had you as a playable card in his fold, you provided club goers the relief of being harassed and drinks being spiked. Territorial take over schemes from rival gangs were second guessed when they saw you watching over the joint.
The after hour visits for your libido were just the perks. But you left a lot of lustful and broken little hearts in the wake of your work.
For a werewolf, you were always assumed to be a means of security, and that much was true. Didn’t mean it excluded you from taking on other odd jobs for the families from time to time. Debt collection, assassinations, tailing and blackmail ops, the list is endless.
When Steve casts a hardened stare your way and you mockingly raise your hands up in surrender. “Alright, I’ll offer my condolences to the heiress, but I ain’t weeping at her feet for her brother who got himself into that mess because he thought he was too big for his own shoes.”
“Just behave yourself, alright? The last thing we need is the entirety of Europe at war with us.” You roll your eyes and salute the captain. “Yessir.”
You bring the glass rim to your lips and draw a small gulpful of your refurbished liquor, the fiery taste rolls over your tongue, you savour it to keep your sanity intact lest you go insane from the waiting. Where was the heiress?
“Well, well, I thought I wouldn’t see any of you again. Especially you.” Your head, as well as those of your group, direct their gaze to the new voice. The corners of your lips twitch up and you flash her a wolfish grin, chin tilting up slightly in your relaxed position against the bar. You looked like a cat happily laying in the sun.
“Miss Romanoff,” each of the men greeted with a nod of their heads. You, however, pat your thigh as an invitation for her to sit. “I had work to do the next morning.”
“Mm, that’s what you tell the other girls, I’m sure.” You clap a hand to your chest with a wince. “You wound me, Sweetheart. If I had the chance, I would have stayed.”
She hums but it’s obvious she doesn’t believe you by the rise in her brow.
Natasha Romamoff is a hard fish to catch. One of the more established families that control practically the entirety of Europe, alongside the Maximoff family, the two were partners and crafting an empire strong enough to stand on their own without any dire need for support.
Yes, her family had prior dealings with the brotherhood. The Starks, Wilsons, Barnes and Rogers and more, whether to collaborate on a bigger criminal project to the smaller portioned deals. Smuggled goods and weapons, blackmail intel deliverance, international bribery to keep the feds off your backs. But she never committed to joining forces.
You suppose it’s a good power move on her part. She doesn’t have to abide by any of the family creeds, in the end, you’re all loose ends that may potentially be severed if need be. She had the ball in her court and the mysterious Maximoff heiress.
Even your animal magnetism wasn’t enough to charm her into joining forces with Stark and his powerhouse of families, but they were surely enough to charm her into a wild one night stand.
But as you told her. You had work to do. And now she appears to spurn you with her eyes and cruel words, but still entertains your flirtatious advances and indulges the empty space of your thigh.
For a well respected mob boss such as herself, she definitely liked to play it risky; dressing included.
Last you saw her, she was dressed in a more professional manner. But here at this funeral party, whatever the fuck it was, she chose to wear a black, spaghetti strap cocktail dress that’s short enough to be skimming the mid of her thigh. The slit riding the dress up higher is just plain dangerous.
She’s facing you, back arched and ass resting on the cliff of your knee. Your clawed hand supports her at the small of her back. Her perfume is strong and complimenting, the sweet bouquet of lavender rolls over the exposed tops of her breasts from her even more exposed neck. Her plump, red lips move in a way that’s hypnotic. “So I hear you’re going to be a bargaining chip for Wanda Maximoff.”
“Where’d you hear that?” you scoff with a flick of your chin.
“I have spies who whisper to me,” she answers with a swift quirk of her brow.
Of course she overheard the news. She then chuckles softly, and all eyes watch her with a level of suspicion. “She won’t take any deal you offer her. She’s determined to steer clear of your little gang wars over in the states.”
“Rumlow killed her brother and he has bases around our territories. Wouldn’t she appreciate the extra hands in catching the rat?” Bucky poses the question with a dark brow angled high and clenched jaw, the muscles in his cheeks flex harder when Natasha offers no affirmative response; a mark to hopefully land you in the door and good graces with the heiress.
“You really think she wants a guard dog?”
“Hey,” you growl with a wrinkle of your nose, fangs on the precipice of baring at her. How she used the term in a condescending manner made the fur beneath your skin bristle. Sam claps a hand to your shoulder, somehow able to sense the seething anger within you.
“We just want to help. Offer support for her loss and bring Rumlow down.”
“No. You want a foothold in Europe. And I’m sorry but…” She looks you up and down, drinking in the sight of you and you know she can see you without your clothes on. “You’re not going to cut it, babe.”
She turns her body to make her getaway but you don’t let her slip away just like that. She gasps and looks to you with a furrowed glare when your arm circles her waist and tugs her back until she’s flush against you, the men in your company watch with trepidation of your next course of action.
“I will cut it because whether she wants to admit it or not, she needs us.”
Natasha’s eyes, true to her fashion, darken with a challenge. “You’re wasting your time. She’ll get Rumlow herself.”
“And if Rumlow plans to get her first?” For a moment you see the doubt cross her face. “That’s where she needs me.”
“Tony Stark.” Each of the men turn to the voice behind them and their once cool and collected selves turn rigid, nervous under the power one woman can hold so absolute, her green eyes scan each of their faces before they land on you.
You finally look and meet her stare, still holding Natasha against you even as she tries to push away from you.
“Unhand her,” the woman commands with an accented tongue.
At first, you wanted nothing more than to play this out a little, see what makes this woman tick. But both Tony and Steve look at you, silent in their order, you sigh heavily and release Natasha. Once you do, she wastes no time in joining Wanda’s side with a bow of her head.
“I hear that you wished to have an audience with me.”
Wanda is the sole survivor of this ordeal. Her parents were assassinated two years ago and now her brother was killed. This is the stressed matter at hand, her empire could crumble to the ground, all that hard work put into the grave, because she’s being so fucking stubborn with this deal.
“I will not sign my family, nor any of my shares, to Stark Industries. Enough have I done to keep you out of the hands of law enforcement. I will handle Rumlow myself.”
This isn’t how any of you hoped this would go. The grief has made her stronger than before. It wasn’t exactly you were waiting for the chance for her to have a weak spot and try your luck, but you all had thought she might even be at least a little desperate for extra help.
Natasha’s face says it all: I told you so. You can only roll your eyes and resume with what you’re doing.
“Miss Maximoff, we only wish to help you. All we ask in return is that you grant us some territory to work with for our trade deals as payment for support lent to you to catch Rumlow.”
Thank you for Reading! (◕ ᴥ x)

18+ MINORS DNI
As soon as the babies were cleared to leave the med bay, Nat had set up two cribs in her room. She even went out and bought a lot of clothes and other things the babies will need.
"I think we should move with your family." Nat stated as she watched Y/N rock Ivory to sleep.
"What?" She questioned as Nat gave her a gentle smile.
"They are like you, Y/N, they need to be with your kind." Nat told her.
"You would move with us?" She asked as Nat smiled at her. "Because I don't think I can deal with being away from you again. My heart won't take it."
"Of course I will be coming with you." Nat smiled at her as she placed Aaron Jr down. "This, what we have is forever."
"But what about the team here?" Y/N questioned, she had already become accustomed to everyone here.
"I will still help with missions and work but my home will be with you and our babies." Nat told her as she caressed her cheek. "You are my home Y/N." She whispered before she pecked her lips. She watched as Y/N carefully placed Ivory down.
"I've been training too." Y/N told her. "Vision and Steve have been helping me."
"When do you find the time?" Nat questioned.
"Some nights I can't sleep." Y/N told her. "Since the last fight, and Ricard. He was a well respected Elder when I was growing up. He had a lot of pull when it came to the pack and I guess he was like a second father to me and I killed him." She confided in her. "And I was ready to die at that moment. I was ready because I stopped the one threat that remained to my family and I knew that you and everyone here would be safe, Steve saw to that."
"He also saved you." Nat reminded her.
"He did." She nodded with a smile as she wrapped her arms around her. "He made sure that I came home to you." She kissed Nat's lips tenderly before Nat buried her head in Y/N's neck. Just enjoying the simplicity of the moment.
"Auntie Wanda is here." Wanda let herself in and made her way over to the babies.
"What if we were naked?" Nat questioned with a raised brow.
"Then I would be saving these two, wouldn't I, babies." She spoke in a childish voice making the two smile at her. "Besides, it's not like you two are even making that move on each other again."
"Wanda, darling." Vision phased through the wall, a smile on his face as he saw her holding Ivory.
"I want one." She pouted as she looked at the sleeping baby.
"Well, get all of the baby time in now." Nat told her as she packed a bag for the two. "We will be moving to live with the pack."
"Why?" She whined as Y/N chuckled at her.
"They will need to be free to be themselves Wanda." Nat told her firmly. "They can't do that here. Besides, they will only be just outside of the city."
"And you can come and visit anytime you want to." Y/N added as Wanda looked between the two.
"You're leaving too." She spoke as she looked at Nat, who only nodded.
"After the wedding." Nat informed her.
"But that's so soon." Wanda whispered as she placed the baby down to hug the two of them. "I'm going to miss having you both here."
The wedding soon came by fast, it was only a small ceremony, just family. Both Y/N and Nat wore matching suits as they listened to Bruce speak. The two couldn't tear their eyes from each other, loving smiles on their faces.
"Now for the vows." Bruce gestured to the two.
"Right." Y/N smiled. "I have never really been good with words. Well, I was away from civilization for the most part." She tried to joke. "But the moment we met, it seemed like something had awakened within me, something called to me and my heart listened. I wasn't the brightest when it comes to relationships, this is my first one and well, I found my better half, my soulmate on the first go." She smiled as Nat listened to her every word. "What I am trying to say is that, I love you so much and my love for you only grows deeper with every passing moment."
"And you're not good with words." Nat teased as everyone chuckled. "Wow, well I guess I used to think that love was for children, that was how I was raised, but you came into my life and it seemed like my whole world shifted. Something changed within me and I was drawn to you. Like a moth to a flame. I never understood my feelings at first, I had never been in love before, but you came crashing into my life and turned it the right way up. It was already upside down and I just didn't know it." She squeezed Y/N's hand as she took a deep breath. "I love you so much Y/N and I will spend every day loving you."
"I now pronounce you wife and wife." Bruce smiled, watching as Nat kissed Y/N passionately as everyone applauded the newly wedded couple.
"I'm so happy right now." Y/N whispered as she gazed lovingly into Nat's green eyes. "You are my happiness, my love and my heart."
"Stop." Nat whispered shakily. "You're going to make me a blubbering mess." Y/N kissed her forehead before the two walked down the aisle, arms linked as everyone smiled endearingly at the couple.
The move was challenging, Y/N and Nat had everything packed but Nat wasn't entirely ready to say goodbye to the family she had grown to love.
"This isn't goodbye." Y/N whispered as they sat side by side in the new car that Tony had gifted them, telling them that Nat's car wasn't suitable for the car seats for babies.
"I know." Nat turned to Y/N. "It's just the end of a chapter."
"And the start of the next." Y/N told her with a smile. Nat started the drive away from the compound to their new home, ready for the future that awaits them.
As the years went by, the two would help the Avengers on missions, but never going at the same time. The children had changed for the first time and Y/N and her father were the ones to take them on their first run. Aaron watched Y/N with a proud smile on his face as she taught the children what he had taught her.
"You have grown into an extraordinary mother." He told her as she put them to bed, reading them a story to keep them from worrying about their mama.
"I had the best parents to learn from." Y/N told him as they both sat on the porch, watching as the stars twinkled in the sky and the moon shone brightly above. "I only want what is the best for them."
"And you have given them so much more." He told her. "When is Nat coming home?" He asked her.
"She was supposed to be home today." She told him.
"You're worried about her." He pointed out.
"I can sense something is wrong." She told him. "I just don't know what." She told him.
"Go to her." He told her.
"But the kids?" She questioned as he smiled.
"They have their grandparents, aunts and uncles." He told her. "We will keep them both safe." He told her as she nodded, not wasting any time in phasing and racing to Natasha, following her scent only to run right into a battle, tearing enemies apart before she changed back.
"What are you doing here?" Nat asked as she held her side, leaning against the wall.
"I figured you needed me." She told her as she helped her up.
"But the kids?" She questioned as she limped, Y/N taking her pistol and shooting any enemies in their way.
"Are safe." She told her. "I just needed to make sure you were safe." Nat just watched as Y/N guided her out to the team, soon placing her on the gurney for Bruce to start working.
"How did you know I needed you?" Nat questioned.
"I could feel it." She admitted as she held her hand. "We are tied together Nat. I feel everything you feel, when you're in pain, I can feel it. I just can't really explain it. I just know that our hearts beat together as one."
"Kiss me." She whispered that Y/N wasted no time in pressing a tender loving kiss to her lips. A smile on both of their faces when they pulled away. The two saw forever in the eyes of the other and Nat felt safe knowing that Y/N would run to the ends of the earth to make sure that she was safe.

Title: Once Bitten, Twice the Idiot [5/?]
Summary: After reader is attacked by a strange animal in the woods, her world is flipped upside down. Now she must navigate a new life filled with strangers and myths.
Trigger warnings: Talk about werewolf transformations, crying, group interventions [?], and definate spelling/grammar mistakes
[Part One | Part Two | Part Three | Part Four | Part Five]
Main Masterlist | Ao3 | Request Prompts
The compound seemed impersonal upon your second visit. It was nothing compared to the shitty apartment you had left earlier in the day. There were leaky ceilings and college students that would blast their music until dawn- but it had been home. It had been home, and this was anything but. This was an overwhelming smattering of scents that aggravated your already tepid nerves.
Without Kate close by panic began to bubble up in your stomach. Then anger. That anger that she had mentioned outside of your building was there too and though you didn’t want to admit it, you had to. Kate Bishop had ruined your life and the fact that you sought her out so heavily filled you with white hot rage. So why did you need her so badly?
In an attempt to ease your nerves, they had separated the two of you two seconds after you’d walked back through the doors. Word seemed to travel fast around here, and you took a mental note to keep your mouth shut in all situations. It had been over an hour since Kate was dragged away by Clint and that ache in your chest grew malicious.
“There’s an electrically charged fence around the bulk of the property but it’s 165 acres of pure natural land. There’s a lot of space to run, but there’s not much way to escape.” Wanda Maximoff explained things to you like a recipe.
She had taken you on the grand tour, though the house was mostly cleared out. It was clear that they were trying not to scare you. There was an array of smells, and each was distinct, though it was behind closed doors. There was an in-house gym and a myriad of offices and bedrooms on the second floor. There was a library too, one that had more books than the location on campus.
Wanda seemed like the best choice to give you the grand tour. Though, you had yet to meet more than Clint and Natasha, and a few others distantly. There had to be a reason that she was the one easing you into this. She smelled of cinnamon and that sharp metal scent that seemed to accompany them all.
You now.
You had stopped walking in the middle of the lush green yard. In turn, so had she. Her gaze was on you and sympathetic. There was a buzz to the fence, one that you could hear from the spot that you were rooted in. Leaves rustled and small critters made noises that you were not supposed to hear, but you could.
“Not much?” You let out a burning breath that you had been holding in. “Pardon me for being rude, but if it’s so secure how did Kate… get out?”
Wanda swallowed hard and closed the distance between you. She had a pitying look in her stare that somehow didn’t enrage you. Instead, it reminded you of your mother. Of course, she’d been the right choice. You could see that a mile away.
“Kate is an extremely powerful and reckless individual. She has an incredible amount of heart but sometimes that gets her in trouble. When you change, and you will change, you’ll understand the yearning a bit more. Usually, your wolf will be satiated with just feeling free- hence all the land. But sometimes there is an emotion so strong that there is no option other than to obey.”
“There’s an emotion strong enough to make her break through an electric fence and attack me?”
She snorted out a laugh, glancing up at the fading blue of the sky. There was a stronger chill to the air as the sun dipped behind the horizon. A fishbone moon was hanging in the air. It was never something that you paid much attention to before. But you were quite thankful that it wasn’t full. That wasn’t something you could handle anytime soon.
“Y/n, did Natasha mention that the two of us are together?”
“No, she didn’t.” You frowned, testing the waters “You’re so… and she’s so…”
“Oh, she’s an absolute hard ass. I’m well aware. She’d dumped her coffee all over the front of my shirt when we first met and apologized by paying for a new one. Natasha wrote her number on the side and wee dated for nearly a year before she told me her secret.”
The two of you started walking again, this time along a carved path that rested at the mouth of the backyard. Soon the grass devolved into underbrush and large stretching oak trees. Gravel crunched under the soles of your shoes. The rage shifted it’s way back into the small of your mind.
“I was taken aback, understandably. The woman I had fallen in love with sat me down and when I thought she was going to break up with me she told me she was a mythical creature instead. And I was mad. I thought she was lying and making excuses instead of being honest.”
Wanda let out a shaky sigh, one that was wracked with memories of what seemed to be a simpler time. There was a fondness in her stare that you craved in a selfish way. Because you wanted to feel that fondness for Kate, but it hadn’t quite bubbled to the surface yet.
“For almost a month, I didn’t speak to her. But on the night of the full moon, my curiosity got the better of me and I showed up at her house unprompted. It took some convincing. Natasha isn’t one for vulnerability, especially when that vulnerability is something that could cause me physical harm but I’m persistent.”
“You uh, I don’t know the terminology” there was a pause “you watched her become…”
“I did. And I’m not going to sugar coat this for you because it is not a pretty sight, and it is far from painless. But I believed her. Finally, I believed her and though I wanted to run there was a moment between the bones breaking and the screaming, where that honesty seeped out of Natasha like blood. I was her one. I was her person.”
Wanda laughed and shook her head. You’d made it a good way through the path and the sun had fully set behind the horizon, but it didn’t impair your vision one bit. You could see just the same, everything having a gray fuzzy tinge to it.
“Subconsciously, there is a pull in what we are. Natasha told me she knew I was her destiny when she spilled a caramel macchiato on me. And I love her, but I didn’t know just how strong that feeling was until I made the decision to change. To let her change me.”
“You willingly chose this?”
The question had slipped past your lips before you could stop it and you immediately felt guilty about the phrasing. Wanda reached and squeezed your palm with the coolness of her fingers. Comfort shot up your elbow and your shoulder until you felt all the warmth in the world.
“I did. It took a lot of conversation, a lot of planning but I was sure that Natasha was the only one and she was equally sure about me. So yes, I chose. And I am truly sorry that that liberty was stripped from you.” She gave your hand another squeeze. “The wolf that’s inside of you, that primal side is what took Kate over. It’s no excuse, her young naivety isn’t an excuse. But I know you feel it, and what you’re feeling right now is only a fraction of what she felt that night.”
That burning sensation in the pit of your stomach was utterly unbearable. It hadn’t gone away since Kate had bitten you. Not when you shoved cold lasagna into your mouth or swallowed three glasses of water. Nothing dulled the pain except your proximity to Kate.
“You’re saying that we’re destined to be together?” You scoffed, breath forming in a cloud.
“That’s for the two of you to decide.”
Wanda stopped in the middle of the path. She grasped your other hand and her solemn energy crept through her touch almost as if she transferred it directly to you. That burning ache in your stomach threatened to calm.
“This is a lot to take in, leaving everything behind and being thrown into the deep end of a world you don’t understand. But I am here for you and Clint is here for you, and so is Bruce and Peter. All four of us… all four of us were ushered into this life instead of born into it. Some by choice and some by chance. And regardless of how we got here, we know the struggle that it carries. We’re here, y/n.”
The room that was given to you was set up in the same beige colors as the rest of the house. Wanda had the same kindness that she seemed to always exude as she explained that you could paint and decorate however you wanted. It was yours, and despite this being a fancy prison, you could always make it feel a little less like a prison.
It was when you were left with your thoughts, did you become wracked with discomfort. The house was mostly silent. Wanda had explained to you the purposeful thickness of the walls. They were meant to dull sounds and form privacy. That- you were thankful for.
There were minimal scents in here and if you tried hard enough, you knew that you could relax. As long as you didn’t think about the fact that you had given up your scholarship, and your life with your friends and your family and your heart was pounding unforgivably in your chest until you were forced to sit up on the wrinkled comforter.
It took a few moments before you realized that someone was knocking on the door. You stood, opening it despite your better judgement. Maybe it would be Wanda with her soothing nature again, or even Natasha to slap some sense into you.
Instead, it was Kate Bishop. She looked like a kicked puppy, her stormy gray stare boring into yours with enough apologies to last a lifetime. But you didn’t want to hear it. Not at the moment and probably not for the foreseeable future.
Though, you had to admit, everything seemed to simmer down with her familiar clove scent. Her hands were in the pockets of her pajama pants, and she held up a brown bag filled with fast food. The grease had soaked through the paper in dark splotches.
You hadn’t eaten since yesterday and embarrassingly, your stomach growled in response. It gave you away. Whatever was in that bag smelled absolutely divine. Kate tried to stifle the smirk on her lips in a comical expression. She had won.
The door opened wider as you stepped aside. “I know we talked about Italian on the bus ride over here, but the only place within sixty miles is a burger joint and I’m helpless in the kitchen.”
“This is perfect. Thank you, Kate.”
The two of you sat on the floor close to the double windows that led to a small balcony. At first, you were tempted to pull the curtains in front of them. It was easier to ignore the eyes that stared back in the reflection. Your own eyes but something different and carnal about them that you weren’t ready to confront.
Kate had supplied you with one of the messiest cheeseburgers that you had ever eaten and a basket of equally as damp fries. It was the best thing you had ever tasted. You were admittedly starving and had been since the moment you woke up.
“God, this is,” you used your thumb to wipe a bit of ketchup “This is good. Not enough to forgive you yet good, but fucking delicious.”
She cleared her throat “I didn’t expect one burger to get me in your good graces. But I figured you were hungry. It’s been a big couple of days.”
“If the next words out of your mouth are ‘I’m sorry’, don’t you dare ruin the bliss this burger brings me.”
She laughed, a beautiful sound. Kate moved from her spot on the floor to one that was next to you. She still gave you distance, a good couple of inches. Her back was against the side of the bed and the two of you sat in a comfortable silence for a few moments.
Your reflections were distorted. Between you rested the moon. The real moon that you had noticed outside with Wanda. It was brighter than it had been, or maybe you were just closer. It’s pale light vibrated against your skin and filled you with a tingling sensation.
It wasn’t fondness exactly. It was like pulling a cozy blanket around you and basking in it’s effects. Like the room around you is cold, frost creeping up the windows, and the only solace is that small piece of fabric. The moon warmed you. You wanted to swim in it.
“How long do I have?” You whispered; Kate scrunched up her face into a half-frown. She looked at you. “Wanda told me about the first time she saw Natasha change. She wouldn’t go into details, and I don’t blame her. But it sounded… painful.”
Kate crossed her legs and picked at the fuzz on her socks. She successfully plucked two balls of lint off the pattern before she spoke. “My family is rich. It’s uh, it’s generational. They’ve always had the best in everything. The biggest homes, the fanciest clothes, the best cars. The strongest cellars.”
You weren’t quite sure where she was going with this. Part of you stifled your anger. You had worked your ass off through high school to just get the vague chance of a college education. All of that was shattered because of the girl next to you. All of that was something that you were starting to understand. That dull ache was thrumming in the pit of your stomach, ever eased by Kate’s presence.
“I’m sticking my foot in my mouth. None of that matters. Growing up with generations of lycanthropy and having it treated like a prize. It’s disjointing. My father believed that that pain made you stronger, and that embracing that rage instead of commuting it was the way to go. And I thought the same until I met Clint.”
Kate let out a wavering breath. She played with the rings on her fingers, twirling them around until there was a little red mark on her skin. It seemed to dissipate just as soon as it had appeared.
“I was thirteen the first time that I turned. And I begged, pleaded with everyone around me to do something, anything, that would ease the agony of that first transformation. I was met with the silent treatment. And… I was a child. I was a scared child that wanted comfort.”
You reached forward and placed a hand on her knee. There was an electricity that flowed through the both of you, a specific energy that buzzed in the same way it had with Wanda, but different somehow. Stronger and all-consuming. She placed her hand on top of yours.
“The night of the full moon, my father locked me in one of those strong cellars. There was no light, no comfort. Nothing but a musty prison that had a small window out of reach. It was just big enough to let in the moonlight. The walls, they were torn up and bloody. It was all I could smell and think about.”
Kate paused to pull in another breath. “For years, I was convinced that was the only way to do things. Embrace the pain and let it harden you. But things are done differently here, y/n. It’s not going to be easy, but you’re not going to be alone. You won’t be locked in a cellar to feel that pain. And I have no quarrels if you don’t want me there-“
“Kate,” you interrupted her, “I want you there. Because despite everything, your presence is reassuring and I think that’s what I’m going to need.”
She gave you a sad smile, yet somehow it was still endearing. There was an exhaustion that settled over you in the same moment. Your stomach was full, and your eyes were feeling heavy. Tentatively, you rested your head against her shoulder, embracing her scent and her comfort.
For a half a second, she tensed but melted just as you had. The silence was far from uncomfortable and you drifted into her protection, dropping into sleep with the sound of her heartbeat in tandem with your own.
The living room, despite it’s size, was filled to the brink with people that all turned their eyes to you upon arrival. You knew that this was coming, the introduction phase. It reminded you of college orientation without the stifling June heat that made it impossible to pull in a proper breath.
You still couldn’t draw in one correctly, not with this many eyes and this many smells. It was like ripping a band aid off and you were incredibly thankful that they had let you get a full nights sleep before springing this on you.
At some point, you had crashed on Kate’s shoulder on the plush carpet of your room. She’d moved you to the bed and you woke up there alone but well rested. It took you a few moments to gather yourself and shove the sadness of leaving your life to the back of your mind. There were things to do, people to meet.
Kate was next to you. She leaned on the edge of the closest sofa and let you take in everything- everyone- that lingered. One man stood at the forefront of it all. He was massive, well built in a way that his strength commanded the attention of the room. There was a kindness in his stare too, one that you admittedly admired right off the bat.
“Hello,” he said it so simply, reaching his massive hand out “I’m Steve.”
“Y/n” You took his hand and shook it timidly.
Steve glanced at the waiting faces around the room. Each one watched with bated breath for him to speak. You even found yourself entrapped by his mere stance. “Everyone, y/n is going to be staying with us for the foreseeable future. This is a situation that we have yet to encounter, and I expect each and every one of you to treat it with the respect and care it deserves.”
There were a few faces that you didn’t recognize, but they seemed to accept the decree. Kate’s hand found its way to the small of your back out of view of the others. It steadied you, though you didn’t know you were unsteady in the first place.
It was explained to you that you were quite the exception to the house. Wanda was clear about how this group had formed and nowhere was it stated that someone who had never turned before was here. Each and every person had a solid grip on who they were- what they were.
“Should we play an ice breaker?” A man that was spread across most of the middle seat on the section asked. He had darkened eyes, black hair that was spiked with an obscene amount of gel. “Two truths and a lie?”
Natasha smirked wolfishly “I like this game; Tony Stark is a humungous ass, Tony Stark is so full of himself he has six mirrors in his room, and Tony Stark wears sunglasses inside like a douche.”
“Second one is the lie; I have eight mirrors in my room and each and every one of them is necessary.”
You pursed your lips to stop the smile from spreading across your face. Natasha tossed a throw pillow and nailed him in the face. He shifted it into his lap, settling there with an eyeroll. Your view was blocked by a man that towered over you.
Steve was big. Tony was big. Clint was big. But this man was an absolute giant. He radiated a warmth that was unmatched and crunched you into a hug. Your cheek was pressed against his chest, and you gave it a pat.
“Don’t suffocate her,” Kate urged gently.
“My apologies Katie” He pulled back, keeping his massive hands on both of your shoulders “I’m Thor, you know, like the God of Thunder.”
“It fits,” You said with a smile.
There was a level of trust about him. Maybe it was his sheer size, or maybe it was his beaming smile that was nothing but genuine. He eased you more than most in the room. When he stepped aside, you were met with the last stranger in the room.
A man that seemed to draw within himself but still shook your hand with a practiced confidence. His button-down was wrinkled, his hair messy. He wore these thick rimmed glasses that enhanced his stare. There was a gentleness about him, a timidness.
“Bruce Banner, it’s great to meet you, y/n.”
They fit together like a family. All of these strangers that each had their individual quirks but were more than comfortable longing around, just existing in the same area. They’d all come from different backgrounds and chose to linger in this large house. They chose to be a group. A unit. A pack.
For a long time, America was the only one that was in your life, the only constant. Your parents were in the background; one worked too much and the other drank too much and neither cared all that much. Watching the way these strangers interacted, the community they created for themselves, made you feel like maybe it would be okay. Maybe all of this would be okay.
Steve cleared his throat and the room stilled, all eyes leading back to him. He scratched the back of his neck, uncomfortable with the attention for only a millisecond before he smoothed back into himself. “The full moon is in two weeks’ time. We know the drill, but y/n doesn’t. It’s going to be difficult and different, and we’re going to have to prepare.”
“I have drugs,” Yelena said. There was a silence that shrouded the room as everyone blinked dumbly at the woman. “What? Not anything heavy. But enough to sedate her!”
“We are not sedating her, we’ve been through this” Clint responded.
They’d spoken about this? Truthfully, from the accounts you had gotten from Kate and Wanda, you would be more than happy to take something to knock you out. Though it seemed important to feel the pain too. Almost like a right of passage.
“That is y/n’s decision to make.” Bruce said. He addressed you, making you feel less like an observer to your own fate. “One that you don’t have to make right now, might I add.”
Steve held his hand up, quieting everyone once more. “There are natural ways of doing things too. And trust us, y/n, we will break down every single option you have until you find a comfortable solution to the predicament. Don’t be afraid to ask questions.”
Your tongue was tied at the prospect, and soon the meeting was dismissed. They were weekly, you learned, and part of you didn’t mind. A house this size with that many people could get messy quickly without some sort of pecking order.
The library on the second floor was home to bound leather books that recounted the history of lycanthropy. It was warm up there, large windows letting in enough sunlight to show the particles of dust as they float in the air.
Not many people use this place. It was kept tidy but the scent that hung in the air was mainly aged paper and wood polish. You’d pulled one of the leather books from the shelf and curled up in the window seat. The pages were yellowed and brittle but filled with invaluable information.
This was the first moment in the last few days where your mind felt quiet. Your world was quiet.
Hours passed as you worked your way through literature, through Norse mythology of a curse, and pelts that would let men roam the countryside as wolves until they gained their lucidity again. There were diary entries from families that were descended from lunacy; the Bishops and Rodgers and Odinson’s and many more that you could not recognize.
You’d made it through two and half books before the light bouncing off the pages shifted to a vibrant orange of the sunset. You’d been left to your own devices for the day, and you rubbed your eyes, tired from the constant strain.
There was a quiet knock at the door and the scent of turkey filled your lungs. You blinked a few times. Steve leaned against the doorframe, holding a plate filled with a pile of potato chips and a sandwich. You’d again, forgotten to eat.
“I come in peace,” He said, entering the room and setting the plate of food on the table in the center of the room. He gestured to the other end of the window seat. “May I?”
You nodded, pulling your feet back and tucking them under yourself. “This is the second time in the last twenty-four hours that I’ve been bribed with food.”
“It’s a love language around here. Learn anything interesting?”
“That a lot of werewolves are French and it’s much easier to be a one in the twenty first century.”
He chuckled and the sound was nice. It made sense that he was in charge. Being around him made things feel like they were solvable. The many answers floating around in your mind, the fears, could center into one concrete thing.
“The French gave us a bad name, I’m afraid. But you’re right about the second part. I wasn’t lying when I said that there are multiple ways to go about this.”
“Like drugs?”
“That’s one option, yes. Clint told me that one of the first things you were concerned about was keeping everyone around you safe.”
You nodded, pulling your legs up to your chest and resting your chin against them. The only reason you had gone along with all of this was to keep the people you love safe. That combined with the deep seeded feeling that all of this was real had lured you here, had kept you here.
“I’m trying not to be angry.” You admitted in a small, weak voice. “There is this deep rage that I could blame on whatever emotional distress these books outline. But nothing will change the fact that one minute I had a chemistry quiz due at midnight and the next I was waking up in a filth of rotted leaves and my own blood. And the only thing I can think about is that I have every right to hate her but I… I can’t.”
Steve was patient, silent in his ministrations. He turned a gold band on his ring finger around and around, much like Kate had. It was a nervous habit, something that soothed him, you supposed.
“I have always been able to handle anything that’s thrown at me. Always. Life has a mass of problems and those problems can be solved but this doesn’t feel real. It won’t feel real until I’m there but I’m- I’m scared. I’m so scared.”
You tried to smother the bloom of emotions in your chest, but it wasn’t working. There was an immense shame in cracking in front of Steve that you couldn’t quite explain but he seemed to have no quarrels about your tears or wiping them away with a calloused hand.
“This shouldn’t have happened.” He said with a shaky breath “And you have every right to be angry. I would be angry. No one expects you to forgive and we certainly don’t expect you to forget. What’s happened is unfair. But we can ease that fear.”
You swallowed hard, throat dry “how?”
“Well, drugs” He gave you a weak smile, and you snorted out a laugh. “But if we want to do things old school, that’s possible. It’s recommended, really. This place is built for people like us, and even though right now it feels like a curse, like a burden, maybe fate intervened.”
Your head thud softly against the bookcase behind you, “Fate carries the last name Bishop.”

Hi, could you write something with Wanda and reader, both of them being werewolf. Yn doesn't trust the avengers too much but Wanda does, so they joined them.
Wanda is the same person when she transformed but Yn doesn't. Yn is quieter but wanted to play a lot and trust them when they transformed and very protective, always around Nat and Wanda, Thor, Yelena and Kate. They liked when she is a werewolf because she doesn't care too much about anything. She bites a bit, but always playfully and gives them something to play.

Y/N: 22 years old Wanda: 22 years old ——————————————————
NO ONE'S POV "Wands, I don't know" Y/N sighs, flopping down on the couch next to her girlfriend.
Wanda and Y/N have known each other since childhood. The two have been through everything together… Y/N's parents death, Wanda's parents death, then Pietro's death and even their first ever transformation into wolves.
Yes, Wanda and Y/N are werewolves. The girls were scared at first and had no idea what to do. After all, they were only 16 when it happened for the first time.
They learned how to control it over the years though and now their favorite thing to do is running around the forest in the middle of the night.
"I know it's scary. We've always had only each other and I really enjoy being only with you… But having some friends can't harm us. And we can help to save other people" Wanda says, holding her girlfriend's hands and hoping Y/N would agree. "We can always leave if we won't like it"
"… Fine" Y/N sighs, giving in. "But if we don't like it, promise me we'll just leave and live together in a little house in the forest like we've always wanted" Y/N says, looking Wanda in the eyes.
"I promise" Wanda smiles and leans in to peck her girlfriend's lips with a kiss. "Thank you"
———————————
And that's how the two ended up joining the Avengers. Y/N still isn't exactly happy about it, but Wanda is. And when Wanda's happy, Y/N feels happy too.
Y/N found her small group in the Avengers where she feels comfortable. Of course Wanda takes number one place, she's her loving girlfriend and Y/N loves her more than anything.
Then there are Yelena and Kate. Both absolutely love playing around with Y/N when she's in her wolf form. Plus the three are really good friends and somehow always get in some kind of trouble which drives Wanda and Natasha crazy.
That brings us to Natasha who would be another person Y/N feels comfortable with. The redhead still has nightmares from the Red Room and Y/N helps her with it just by being with her. The Black Widow seems tough, but there's nothing she loves more than when Y/N's in her wolf form, resting her head on the assassin's lap while she's running her fingers through the wolf's soft fur.
This group wouldn't be complete without Thor. He never resists the cute puppy eyes Y/N gives him and always shares some of his food with the wolf underneath the table. Wanda's always quite annoyed by it, but she knows damn well that she can't resists Y/N's cute puppy eyes either.
"Wandaaa, I'm booored. Come play with meee" Y/N whines, pulling her girlfriend out of their bed. She's been feeling super playful today, but Wanda's in the exact opposite mood.
"Y/N, I'm tired. You kept me up until like 4 am. I want to sleep" Wanda sighs. The girls spent the night in the forest again and went to bed really late.
Y/N groans, leaving the room and transforming into her wolf form. She feels more comfortable like that whenever she's upset.
The upset wolf makes her way over to Natasha who's currently filling up some mission reports in the living room.
Y/N walks over to the couch Natasha's sitting on, putting her head on the redhead's lap.
"Hi there, Y/N/N" Natasha smiles, running her fingers through Y/N fluffy fur. "What got you so upset?" She pouts, looking at how quiet her wolf friend currently is.
Y/N runs for the ball that she spotted in the living room before running back and placing it on the ground, nudging Natasha's leg with her head.
"Oh. You want to play" Natasha chuckles, Y/N waving her tail in response. Natasha picks up her phone, leaving Yelena a quick text. Natasha loves playing around with Y/N, but she really has a lot of mission reports to fill up. Knowing her sister, Yelena doesn't care about some papers, so she'll definitely have time to take Y/N on the garden.
"Y/N/N, come here! I heard someone wants to play!" Yelena calls from the door frame, squishing Y/N's favorite toy on which Y/N immediately runs up to the blonde, happy that someone will play with her.
Yelena takes Y/N out on the garden and runs around with her, throwing her branches they found on the garden and just playing. The pair is soon joined by Kate who saw them from the window and decided to join her two friends.
About two hours later, the three girls are laying on the grass, Y/N back in her human form and they just laugh about some silly things that come into their minds.
"I don't know how about you, but I'm pretty hungry and something's telling me Thor's just making himself some snack, so I'll go to check that up" Y/N says, standing up, Kate and Yelena following.
They walk back to the kitchen and as Y/N thought, Thor's sitting at a table, eating his big snack. She sneaks behind him, stealing one of his pop tarts and running away, ignoring Thor's calls. She knows he'd end up giving her some anyway as they're really good friends.
"Oh. Wow. Slow down" Wanda chuckles, spotting her girlfriend running towards her.
"Oh. Hi, Wands. Did you have a nice nap?" Y/N asks with a smile, hiding her pop tart behind her back.
"Yeah. What do you have there?" Wanda asks with a raised eyebrow, trying to look behind her girlfriend's back.
"Nothing" Y/N responds, moving around, so Wanda couldn't see anything.
"If it's nothing then why don't you just show me? Are you afraid you'd have to share food with me?" Wanda asks teasingly, raising her eyebrow again.
"Hm. No?"
"Yeah. Sure" Wanda smirks, slowly walking behind Y/N which makes the girl think she's free of this conversation.
Y/N isn't the only one in a playful mood now though. Wanda sneaks behind, ripping the pop tart out of Y/N's hand and running away. "Thanks, babe!"
"Hey! Get back here! That was mine!"
----------------------
I wasn't exactly sure about how to write the werewolf stuff, but hopefully it's not that bad...
I hope you enjoyed reading it!!

"No Wanda I'm not going!" Natasha growled out as Wanda briefed her on a mission coming up in two days. You were curled up in your shared room already fast asleep while Nat worked on overdue mission reports. "Tasha, we really need you on this mission. Yelena will be at the compound and you know how protective she is of her. Trust me, Y/n will be okay" Wanda spoke up quietly. She knew under all this anger was fear. She could quite literally feel the hormone battle between fight of flight going on in her teammate’s body.
"How do you know that Wanda! Her heat is supposed to hit when I’m the furthest out on the mission!" the spy snarled and Wanda bared her own teeth. "Don't get snappy at me, just because you're a mated Alpha doesn't mean my status to you changes, I'm an Alpha too, mated or not" Wanda warned and Nat grumbled before harnessing he emotions and simmering down a little.
"I can't do it, I can't leave her" she sighed and hunched down in her office chair, finally letting her guard down. "I promise on Pietro that she'll be okay, you trust your sister more than anyone and if Yelena was on this mission I'd let you sit it out" Wanda reassured her as best as she could but she understood. She had seen enough Alphas go on missions without their mate and it made her somewhat relieved to not have found hers yet.
"Can we train, I wanna get my mind off it until I have to say goodbye" Nat mumbled and Wanda nodded, dragging her best friend out of her office and towards the training rooms. The pair went on for hours, practicing both strengths and weaknesses to the point of exhaustion. It was only when Natasha took a right hook to the face did they stop and take a breath, realising just how high the tension was and how much Alpha hormones were floating around in the room.
><><><><
The glimmer of sunrise filtered through the opening in the curtains and Natasha groaned as you smushed your face closer into her neck, smelling her sweet scent and kissing her gently just under her ear. "Baby hey, none of that" she sighed back tears as she pulled you out slightly and moved you to lay on top of her instead.
“Don’ leave” you whispered sleepily and tightened your grip on her. She closed her eyes and just took in the moment. Her mission was two weeks long and knowing she was leaving you just as your heat was supposed to start was killing her. “I have to milaya, they really need me on this one” she kissed your temple and you let out a whine.
“More than I need you?” you looked up at her and pouted, pursing your lips further when she pouted back and nodded. “Unfortunately yes, I’m so sorry shchenok, I really am” she unwillingly peeled your ever so slightly heating body off hers and stretched her limbs out. Arms going overhead and shirt rising above her midsection, you couldn’t help but stare a little. God she was perfect.
"I can feel you staring moya lyubov" she snickered when she caught your eyes as they darted down. "I'm gonna miss you. It's gonna be hell Natty" you tried to plead again but she wasn't having any of it. "I know you are but I'm leaving you with my best girl and she's gonna make sure you'll take care of yourself okay?" your mate gave you a pointed look as she grabbed your chin gently, ensuring eye contact was made as she did so.
With a huff, you shrugged your face out of her hold and pouted. "Don't be away too long" were your final words as she kissed your lips gently and slipped out of bed, preparing her bags for the mission. As cold as the morning was, you followed her around the room like a shadow, needing to feel as much of her warmth and heartbeat before she was gone. "Not that one" you growled slightly and ripped the jumper out of Natasha's hands just as she was about to put it in the grey sports bag.
It was your favourite jumper of hers, it smelled just like her and was a little oversized. "But that's my good luck jumper it makes me think of you" she frowned but the rejected look on your face made her reconsider her next few words. "Can I uhm- can I take one of your jumpers instead? I still need you with me" she whispered out the last sentence and you scrambled to get one of your favourites that she got for you one time.
And so the early hours were spent packing and reassuring until Wanda knocked and called for the Widow. With final goodbyes and reassuring scent markings, a mere few minutes later and your mate was well and truly commencing her mission. It was barely 7am and there was no way you could fall back asleep, not without her lulling you into a peaceful slumber. Natasha had told Yelena to make sure you were still functioning during her time away and while you were grateful for the blonde, you needed your mate.
><><><><
It was the third day of your heat and you had been insufferable. You had come out twice to eat and Yelena had to drag you out of your nest both times. In a heaped pile of Natasha's clothes, stuffed bears and her playlist, you were under it all. Surrounded. Today was supposed to be the peak of your heat and you had locked yourself in your room. You didn't want to hear, see or smell anyone other than Nat.
A low pitiful whine left your throat as you burrowed your face deeper into the Build-a-Bear she got you and it was painful for everyone else to hear. Every single bone in your body was calling out for your mate. Your mind was in a stuck loop of wanting to be as close to her as possible to not wanting to be reminded of her absence and it was torture.
"Y/n, hey malen'kiy, can I come in?" it was Yelena. Her voice was soft and warm; and a sense of security lingered slightly in the room. She was releasing calming hormones to at least try and settle your extremely high emotions, it almost felt like you were grieving for Nat. "I want my mate" you whimpered dejectedly and Yelena's heart ached for you. "I know I'm sorry" the assassin sighed as she stood by the door contemplating on what to do next.
"Do you want to face time her? I can try and sort an arrangement out with her so she's free on her downtime to call you?" she offered a little unsure on how you were going to react but all you did was let out a guttural low cry. “Okay okay no mentions of her you’re okay I’m so sorry” she tried to comfort you as best as she could from her position by the door.
With a heavy heart and teary eyes, she closed the door and let you be. Clearly anything remotely attached to Natasha was only giving you more grief. Your every so slightly rising and falling slumped body in a mess of clothes, smells and sounds was about the only thing indicating you were still alive.
Days passed and you still had not moved. Yelena came by every few hours to give you water but she was soon running out of glasses. Tomorrow was supposed to be the day your mate came home but Yelena wouldn’t be surprised if it had completely bypassed you. Night fall was probably the worst time you longed for your mate. The most you slept in the two weeks Natasha was away would only have to be a mere 40 hours.
Yelena once again, came to see if you were still alive and well but the whimpering made her physically cower from your closed door. She could only hope Nat was here for when you woke up.
><><><><
The second Natasha stepped off the quinjet she made a beeline to your shared room. Her heart was sore and her bones were aching. All she wanted was to wrap herself around you til the sun stopped rising. Yelena had kept her updated as best as she could but there was barely any signal where she had been hiding out. The last text she got was “she’s completely broken sestra” three days ago and she was panicking.
She padded lightly down the halls turning every corner with ease until she was finally at the door. Her senses going crazy as she heard your desperate howls for her. She creaked the door open and whined softly when she caught your scent, your body going rigid for a second before completely relaxing. She was here. Your mate was home.
Eager to be close to you, yet afraid to startle you, she made quick work of slipping out of her mission clothes and into your hoodie and a pair of your sweatpants. It was like she was on auto pilot. The minute she was close enough to hear your heartbeat, she was whining and slipping under your nest. Your small frame involuntarily reaching out for her when she was buried beneath the heaped mess of your relationship. Your two heartbeats matching pace and her smell finally surrounding you in person. Two hearts were made whole again.

TWICE IN A BLUE MOON [WANDANAT SOULMATES / ALPHA-OMEGA UNIVERSE]
ALPHA NATASHA X OMEGA WANDA
enemies - friends to lovers
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wanda likes to see her soul mark tattooed on her left wrist. She could spend hours tracing with her finger the name "Natasha" that marks her skin.
Wanda has been looking forward to finding her soul mate just as she has read it would happen in those fairy tales when she was a little girl.
It seems her wish comes true when Wanda starts having visions and vivid dreams about her Alpha Natasha.
One day she finally meets the woman of her dreams by a mere accident of fate, however Wanda realizes that her possible alpha and soul mate is far from being that perfect and gentle woman she had imagined.
Natasha "I don't need an Omega! I've never needed an Omega!" Romanoff is a lonely alpha who hides the traumas of war under her facade of an emotionless tough woman
Wanda takes that fact as a personal challenge. Slowly 'with a lot of patience and love' she begins to break down the walls of the redheaded alpha and get into her cold marble heart.
And Natasha well... Natasha begins to believe that having an Omega can't be all that bad..

Part Two
The steel walls that lined the hallway were all too familiar to Natasha. They had the familiar residue of doctors, scientists, and soldiers that patrolled up and down the winding halls. It reeked of scents from all different types of colognes and sweats. A true detestable aroma Natasha hated encountering every time she came to this part of the base.
But she did it for you.
Coming to that all too familiar door, red and yellow stripes lining the door. Precautions for what lay awake just on the other side of this small chamber. Looking up at the camera above the door, Natasha stared at the lens for a moment before the door unlocked. It slid open, revealing blackness with the heavy aroma that she missed more than her mortality.
Natasha’s eyes adjusted to the darkness and immediately spotted the small figure curled in the corner of her cage. Body trembling with the scent of salt in the air; tears. Stepping inside, the door slid behind her, plunging her into the black before a single light inside the cage turned on. Revealing her little pup.
You were shaking, trembling from the things the doctors had done to your body. Scars from old and new traumas touching your silk skin. Tears of anguish run down your cheeks, silently praying to a higher power to let you free. But that was Natasha’s guess considering there were whimpered words falling from your lips as you. The space around you was torn to shred with your small mattress no longer resembling a piece of comfort with all its fluff scattered across the cage floor.
It hurt her seeing you like this. You were so, broken. She never wanted you to get caught up in her troubles. If she’d known what would come from ever meeting you, maybe she would’ve left you to die in those woods.
For 10 minutes, Natasha had been inhaling that scent of rare blood. She knew it to be from a Werewolf, but finding where it was had been quite some trouble. None of her other troops had stopped the dog yet, but she believes that from her tracking, she was starting to catch up to the disgusting creature. Its scent only grew stronger the closer she got.
Breaking through the edge of a clearing, she heard the whimpering of a dog. Even with the heavy winds, the scent and sound didn’t get carried with it. She walked through the knee-high grass. A path already being laid out from the Werewolf that had come through with specks of blood weighing down on the blades.
As she got further she finally saw the whimpering dog. Chest rising and falling with quiet cries falling from its lips. She could see the large wound on the Werewolf's stomach. It was from teeth marks and had ripped the flesh at a gruesome depth that barely revealed your organs. One ear was bitten off and the Werewolf’s arms were scratched and bitten to shreds. Even half of its face was torn off, revealing the bone.
She clicked her tongue as she stepped forward, alerting the Werewolf to turn its head towards her with a whimper. Eyes shut with its breaths beginning to become shallow each second. “You dogs never could follow the peace treaty, could you?” She crouched beside the Werewolf, nose scrunching up in disgust of the hairy beast. “Steve never could stay in his kennel, could he?
Laughing, Natasha glanced around and looked back down at you with a grin. “So, now he has you guys hunting in our lands, right? Steal our food?” She asked aloud, beginning to shake her head as she stood up and began to pace. “No. No, no, no. That just won’t work. I don’t know what the hell happened to you, but you just broke our peace treaty. Now, I know you can’t tell Steve with you all fucked up as you are, so I’ll take your head and put it on a post just at the border. That sound all right, Mut?”
When she looked down, she felt her chest tighten at the sight of a bright set of your eyes staring up at her. They have dilated adorably - if she was being honest - they were tired. No fight could be seen in those beautiful eyes and instead of you, the Werewolf reaching out to attack, you curled up. Tail tucked between its legs - everything. It was surrendering in fear.
Natasha didn’t know what to say or do. She was used to Werewolves putting up a little fight in the decades before. They fought valiantly, but at the end of the day, they were merely dogs that she put down. But there was something about this one that made her stop for a moment and just stare curiously at you. She knew there to be someone just beyond this form and she wished to know and see who it may be.
“Well, aren’t you a pretty little thing?” She muttered, crouching down and running a hand through the lush black fur. Natasha’s smiled faintly when she saw your curious bright eyes staring up at her. Body somewhat relaxing under the soft palm of the vampire.
But she saw your eyes constrict and flicker behind her. It’d been too late for her to react, but you roared. Quickly shoving Natasha out of the way and attacking the Werewolf that had been sneaking up on her. Your mouth wrapped around the Werewolf’s throat with your teeth beginning to sink into the flesh.
With you wounded badly, it didn’t take much for the other to use that to their advantage. Claws stab into your stomach and cause you to cry out, letting go and stumbling back onto the ground. Whimpering and crying when you felt the large foot press against your chest. Those all too familiar red eyes staring down at you with amusement.
By some slight chance of savoury, the vampire grabbed the Werewolf by the throat and slammed the creature to the ground. Grabbing its arm and beginning to pull ruthlessly. When the wolf cried and attempted to scratch at Natasha, its arm was restricted by another vampire, Yelena, who wore a grin.
It only took a few seconds later before Natasha tore the Werewolf’s arm off and slapped them with it. She growled, tossing the limb to the side as she pressed her foot to the wolf’s throat. “Pete, nice to see you, kid.”
The painful sound of bones cracking filled the air as Peter’s Werewolf form reanimated to his human. His groans and cries of pain filled the air as he choked on open air. “You are breaking the law, Nat,” the boy spat. “This could start a war.”
Yelena laughed in amusement. “And I am sure you hunting onto our land isn’t, right?”
Natasha hummed, glancing back at you. Finding your form to have reverted to your human with your bare flesh exposed to the night air. Your silk skin was showcased to her in so many places for her to get a taste. But she blinked, clearing her mind of the thoughts and looked to her sister. “Give her your jacket.”
The other seemed reluctant, clearly not used to seeing her sister show care for their opposition, but listed nonetheless. Allowing her sister to keep the boy pinned as she went to your unconscious form and covered it with her jacket.
“Why were you hunting her?” Natasha asked, jutting her head towards you.
Peter huffed and puffed, groaning from the venomous pain from his missing arm. “Our business doesn’t concern you, Nat,” he hissed. “Tribe affairs. Leave her with me and we’ll be off your land.”
Natasha clicked her tongue. “As far as I am concerned, you were practically hunting a pup. Was she putting up any fight, Mut?” She asked as the boy continued to glare up at her. “I think you’ll take her place on that pike quite nicely, don’t you?”
Before the boy could ask what she meant, her hands wrapped around his head and began to pull. Screams of pain filled the air until suddenly the flesh and bone gave way with Natasha dismembering the boy. Blood shooting from the open wound and splashing her face with his disgusting foul blood.
She stood to her feet, holding the head tight in her hands as she turned back to Yelena, who didn’t at all seem bothered by her sister’s actions. “Take her back to the halfway house. Leave her in my room.”
Yelena clenched her jaw, lifting your weightless body in her arms. “You know, Tony isn’t going to like this very much. He already has it out for you from last year.”
Natasha scoffed. “This isn’t a debate he gets to have. Just take her and I’ll take care of her when I get back.”
The blonde nodded before sprinting in the direction of their base. Natasha marched in the direction of Steve’s compound.
Steve’s tired figure was relaxed in his chair by the campfire. The night air brushed past him with small brushes with his eyes closed, still wishing to feel Peggy’s warm touch. A year had passed since he lost her. It’d been a long and unforgiving year for him without her by his side. And there would be many more to come.
But his eyes shot open when he heard the front gates swing open rapidly. Turning his head to find Sam and Bucky running in his direction. Their scents were intermingled with something familiar. Blood.
“Steve, you need to come see this,” Bucky told his best friend, who didn’t wait to ask questions and followed them.
“What is it?” Steve asked curiously.
Neither answered, but stopped good 10 feet outside of the gates and pointed to the hill in the distance. A pike stabbed into the ground with an object on top. Steve’s eyes narrowed and he felt his chest tighten up. Peter Parker. Below it was a piece of paper tied to it and Steve’s anger and resentment mounted to a new level.
‘Stay in your kennel, Muts.’
“Puppy?” The soft voice had you lifting your head slowly. Your glassy vision obscured what was in front of you, but you quickly were able to make out that red hair.
Your face scrunched up as you crawled to the glass and pressed your hand to it. Tears streamed down your cut and bruised face as you stared at your girlfriend pleadingly. “Nat, please, I can’t stay in here. I need to be with you.”
Natasha felt her heart crack with each syllable that fell from your lips. Her eyes beginning to welt up as she sat just opposite of you. Carefully placing her cold hand over yours. So close, but still so far.
It must’ve been 3 months since she was captured and you were locked in this cage. For too long has she been deprived of your blood, specifically. And for far longer, you have been deprived of her touch. The only moments she got with you were these. Which was a sorry excuse of making up for the lost time.
“You’ll be out soon, I promise,” Natasha reassured. “I just need to pay off my debt with Fury, and then I-”
“Stop lying to me!” You screamed, shocking the woman as you sobbed. Hand sliding down from the glass as you curled up in a ball. “I can’t take it anymore, Nat. They’re killing me! I feel her being ripped from inside of me Natasha and I can’t stop them!”
“Feel who, Y/n?” Natasha sat up, leaning closer to the glass. “What do you mean, baby?”
“Luna!” You cried. “They’re sucking me dry and taking her from me! I can’t lose her, please! Oh God, please, help me!”
Her heart was shattering into a million pieces hearing you. Not only because she was seeing her little puppy suffering, but your voice was mixed with Luna’s. Both of you crying out for her, begging for her assistance.
But she didn’t know what to do. She couldn’t break you out because it would just result in you being killed. And if that happened, she wouldn’t have any reason to live. Truthfully, she wouldn’t be able to live without you. After you marked her, it extended to her and made the idea of space unbearable for both of you.
But it would only have to be for a little longer. Natasha had a plan beginning to be formulated in her head as she had made her way here. She could only hope that Maria knew where she came from and would follow through on her end.

Y/N looked up at the night sky, her father stood beside her with his hand resting on her shoulder. Explaining her whole existence and the clan.
"Once you turn, it will hurt at first but the more you do it, the easier it gets." He told her as he knelt down before her. "Now close your eyes and breathe." He told her, smiling as she followed his every word. "Deep breaths and feel the change." He stepped back as soon as he heard bones starting to crack and crunch. He smiled as he watched her turn for the first time.
Soon he stood before a white wolf before he turned himself. Gesturing for her to follow him into the woods. Y/N had felt free for the first time, the wind running through her fur as she ran at a high speed. The feeling of the earth beneath the pads of her paws. The way her claws would dig in the soft dirt with every step. Soon the two stood on a ledge, looking out at the horizon as the moon shone brightly.
Nat had remained in her seat, reading more information on what they had retrieved from Hydra. Seeing that the girl who lay unconscious was indeed a part of an experiment. Just as she started to read over Y/N's blood work from Hydra, Y/N had started to wake. Jumping up as she never recognised the room.
"Hey." Nat spoke softly as Y/N looked at her. "It's ok. You're safe now." She told her as she approached with her hands in front of her. "I'm Natasha Romanoff."
"Y/N Selene." She muttered as she was backed into a corner. "Please don't hurt me." She whimpered as Nat knelt before her with a tender smile on her face.
"I'm not going to hurt you." Nat told her tenderly. "I just want to help you."
"I don't want to go back there." Y/N whispered as Nat shook her head.
"You won't ever go back there. Never again." She told her firmly. "Let me help you back on the bed." Nat held out a hand which Y/N hesitantly took, sitting on the bed before Wanda came bursting inside.
"Hi, I'm Wanda." She greeted as she placed the folded clothes down. "Nat gave me these when I first arrived here before she took me shopping. Her taste isn't really for me but maybe you can use them until then."
"Thank you." Y/N smiled at her gratefully before she turned to Nat.
"Wanda is another member of the team here, whenever you're ready you can meet the rest." Nat told her softly as Wanda observed the two.
"I think maybe leave it for now." Y/N told her. "I just, I don't know how much you guys know about me."
"We know that you are a werewolf." Nat told her as she took a seat. Wanda made sure to lock the door to stop any unexpected guests from entering the room. "And your family has been looking for you, going back over a decade."
"I was 12 when they took me." Y/N informed her. "I have been with them for years and they wanted to learn about us, my clan and what we can do."
"It's ok, no one is going to expect anything of you here." Wanda told her. "We understand how awful Hydra can be, I was an experiment at the Sokovia base." Wanda leaned on the wall. "Well, I volunteered thinking that they would help our country, stop the war that was going on at the time."
"Bottom line is that Hydra is the enemy." Nat stated as she cut off Wanda, seeing how Y/N looked at her curiously. "But here, the Avengers will help you, we can help you train and get adjusted to the real world and maybe find your family."
"You can't be serious?!" Tony yelled. "She needs to be locked up!"
"She doesn't." Steve started.
"She is a werewolf. What do we even know about them? Are they unpredictable? Dangerous? Deadly?" Tony cut him off.
"Hey! Just cut her some slack." Bucky told him. "I was Hydra's weapon for decades. Wanda too. Nat was with the Red Room and a double agent. We all proved trustworthy and weren't thrown in a cell. Let's just give her a chance."
"Maybe the girls can start with her?" Clint suggested. "She might be more comfortable opening up to Nat and Wanda."
"Where are the girls?" Steve questioned.
"They are both with the patient." Vision informed them.
"That's good." Steve nodded.
"Nat stayed with her all night." Bruce stated as Tony scoffed as he walked away.
"Then it is settled, we will leave her in the hands of Nat and Wanda. Besides, they're scary enough that none of us will even question it." Steve stated as everyone agreed. Only Tony went straight to Bruce's lab to steal the blood work to do some research of his own, even using the intel he had retrieved from the base.
Wanda was showing Y/N her powers, lifting some objects up and making them float around the room.
"That's so cool." Y/N smiled as she watched the red magic dance around Wanda's fingertips.
"I've not long learned how to control it." Wanda told her. "Nat and Steve helped me a lot."
"I don't want to change." Y/N confessed as the two girls gazed at her. "They made me change every day, multiple times a day." She started to play with her fingers. "They drugged me, aconitine."
"Wolfsbane." Nat stated as Y/N nodded.
"I used to love changing before they captured me. It was freeing back then but then they wanted me to do it all the time." Y/N told them. "But now, I hate it. You would think it would be easier, less painful but it just, the aconitine was making everything hurt worse than it should."
"What happens when you change?" Nat questioned softly as Y/N wiped her eyes.
"My bones break and morph into a canine skeleton." Y/N told her. "It can be painful but with aconitine, it makes it so much worse."
"I'm sorry you had to go through that." Nat spoke tenderly. "But we wouldn't force you to do anything you don't want to." Nat noticed that Steve was standing outside, gesturing for her to talk. "I'll be back in a moment." Both Wanda and Y/N watched as she left the room, closing the door behind her. "What is it Steve?"
"Tony is stating that she needs to be put in a cell." Steve told her.
"Y/N is not going in a cell." She snarled as Steve raised his hands before him.
"We all went against him, but he won't give her a room." Steve told her.
"She can bunk with me." She shrugged as Steve smiled at her.
"You really have taken to her haven't you?" He questioned.
"She is just like the rest of us." Nat told him. "She has been through a lot and we need to help her like we helped each other."
"We will help her." Steve told her. "Tony is the only one we need to worry about."
"She won't turn." Nat told him. "Something they forced her to do everyday in Hydra."
"Well, she is safe here." He told her.
"What if we help her find her family?" Nat asked him as he folded his arms.
"I don't think Tony would allow us." He told her.
"We can maybe ask Fury or Maria for help." She suggested. "We don't always have to go through Stark."
"You're right." He nodded. "I'll arrange a meeting with Fury." He started to walk away. "What's her name?"
"Y/N Selene." She told him before turning back and re-entering the room.
"That was about me wasn't it?" Y/N asked as both she and Wanda watched her approach.
"It was." Nat nodded. "You're going to be bunking with me for the time being, and we are going to try and help find your family."
"Thank you." Y/N whispered as Nat gave her a small smile before she picked up the files.
"Well, I think we should have a movie night." Wanda clapped excitedly before she went on to talk about possible options.
"Don't worry, it's just that you are the closest to her in age and I think it's something that she needs." Nat whispered as the two watched Wanda with amused smiles.
"Well, I could do with a friend here too." Y/N replied as Nat smiled wider as she nodded.
The night went as expected, the three girls had moved into Nat's room as Wanda brought all of the snacks. Y/N just looked at the bed and the floor.
"You can sleep in the bed with me." Nat told her softly. "I don't mind sharing, hell I had Wanda come in here in the middle of the night when she first moved here."
"I don't want to make you uncomfortable." Y/N whispered in a small voice.
"You won't make me uncomfortable." Nat told her. "Now get comfy." She watched as Y/N hesitantly sat on the edge of the bed. Reluctant to move further up the bed as though it would hurt her.
"I haven't slept in a bed in over a decade." Y/N told her. "Well, that's how long I think it is." Y/N turned to her. "I guess when you're strung up like a rabid animal, your perception of time becomes non-existent."
"You won't ever have to go through that again Y/N." Nat told her as she sat beside her. "I promise you." Nat opened her arms slightly. "Can I hug you?" Y/N only nodded as she melted into Nat's embrace. Little did they know that in that moment, they had become tethored. Destined to be one.
"So you want to use SHIELD resources to look for these people?" Fury questioned. "Why not just use what you have at the tower?"
"I can't trust that Tony jeopardizes our search." Steve told him before explaining the whole situation.
"I can understand how he feels." Fury told him.
"We didn't lock Wanda up when she joined, or Bucky." Steve reminded him. "And the two of them actually tried to kill a majority of us when they worked with Hydra."
"That isn't the point, Y/N is a werewolf." Fury stated.
"Wanda is a witch and Bucky is a super soldier." Steve countered.
"Ok." Fury sighed as he rubbed his brow. "Make sure she isn't a danger to herself or any of you."
"Nat and Wanda are with her, helping her settle in." Steve informed him. "I figured it would be easier on Y/N."
"Good, I'll have Maria do the search and she will contact either you or Romanoff directly." Fury told him. "Until then, try and get her on a training schedule too, just in case we don't find her family, she could be an asset to the team." He waved Steve out the door which Steve thanked him before leaving the base.

[A/n: I was really fucking sad when I wrote this, and for that, I apoloigize. This isn't a gentle chapter, so please read with caution. And as always, I did not proof read].
Main Masterlist | Ao3 | Request Prompts
A rot of leaves coated the forest floor, filling your lungs with an unsettling pungent scent. The world had blurred edges, somehow caving in on itself with each passing second. The trees whizzed past you, an ache that once covered your entire being had ebbed away the faster you ran.
There was such an intoxicating scent that led you blindly. It was floral and sweet and screamed above all the deteriorating vegetation. You’d run so far, so fast and without hesitation. What was that? You needed to sink your teeth into it, to taste it. You would simply die if you didn’t.
It was a girl. Yes. A girl.
She was running too, but not nearly with enough speed as you. She stumbled over fallen logs and branches dug into her skin. They created gashes of dripping red that made you salivate. She was cornered against a fence, fingers curling around the chain link.
You regarded her, taking a moment to register the hot pain in your chest. How far had you followed her? It was ways from home, you knew that much, but none of that seemed to matter. No- because she was right in front of you, and she was captivating.
In your excitement, you took a careful step forward and a small noise escaped her throat. Her eyes were frantic as she took in your hulking and animalistic stature. She was afraid, and part of you was too. Something had led you to her, to this sadistic chase that had cornered you both.
Her blood tasted sweet just like her scent. Your teeth crushed bone, tore through tendons with such a simple ease.
She was yours.
Sweat had soaked through your sheets and clung to your bare legs, even as you shot up and pulled in a helping of air. Your skin buzzed as if it were set ablaze with fever.  The waning moon cast a sickly pale light against the room. Your heart pounded ruthlessly against your chest.
That dream had left you antsy, and horrified. You never remembered your dreams but this one was vivid, almost like it was a memory. The coppery taste made your mouth dry. You were restless, wide awake despite the red numbers on the clock indicating that it was just past 3:00am.
You couldn’t hear anything through the walls that had been doubled down in strength despite your enhanced senses. The house was as good as silent, though you figured it statistically impossible for everyone to be asleep.
The hallway was dark compared to your room, filled with moonlight. You padded a few steps before you stopped in front of Kate’s door. It pained you to be here, begging for some type of comfort. The dream had left you rattled. Afraid.
It was getting closer to the full moon and your thoughts had been plagued with the pain that you’d read about so diligently. Scanning the inked words on a yellowing page was nothing compared to the experience of it all.
Swallowing your pride, you knocked twice, knowing that she could hear you. It took Kate a few moments to untangle herself from her blankets. You could pick up on her stumbling her way across her room until she swung the door open.
The girl tried to be suave, giving you a tired smile as she leaned against her doorframe. Her hair was sleep-worn and springing in various directions. She wore a pair of boxers with little purple arrows against the fabric and a tank top that was riding up enough to expose the smooth expanse of her stomach.
“Hi,” You swallowed the dryness in your throat, pulling your eyes from her muscular frame. Her cheeks were blooming with a fond pinkness. “I couldn’t sleep.”
You didn’t want to admit that you were freezing, that the sweat you’d produced during the odd dream had dried taught against your skin. A shiver worked its way through you, and you crossed your arms over your midsection, trying to preserve what warmth you had left.
Kate lilted her head and stepped to the side without a second thought. She beaconed you into her room. The curtains were drawn, blocking out the light of the moon. Her comforter was drawn back, pillows scattered against her bed. She must have been engulfed in a deep and comfortable sleep, one that you had broken.
It helped, not being able to see the looming structure of the moon. It made you squirm, but the scent that engulfed you, the pure warmth of Kate’s mere presence, calmed your nerves. When she shut the door softly you knew that you were safe with her.
The wolf, that’s what Wanda had called it, knew what it wanted. She said that there was a blind trust that would flow through you with the girl that you’d crawled to and that feeling was only multiplying as the full moon got closer and closer.
“Don’t… say a word.” You turned to her, crossing your arms over your chest.
Despite your warning, she smiled wolfishly at you, lifting both of her hands with an innocent shrug. She looked adorably miffed by exhaustion, and that thought annoyed you more than anything. God, you really should hate her. But she looked so warm, so accepting and every inch of your body was howling for her skin against yours.
Kate settled back into bed and peeled back the duvet with an expectant look on her face. Why were you fighting her so hard? Clearly, you were tired. You’d knocked on her door and you hadn’t done that without reason. If you wanted conversation, you would have found Peter and interrupted his late night gaming.
Or maybe even Natasha who couldn’t sleep, just like you. But you did value your life, just a little bit. So Kate it was, a magnet that drew you in. The more exhausted you got, the harder it was to pull away. And really- she had been trying. Right?
Almost as if on instinct, you took her up on her offer and slid into the encompassing warmth of the duvet. There was the scent of lavender, of freshly washed sheets and the metallic breath that she drew in, almost as if she was just as shocked as you were at the action.
Kate cautiously lowered the blanket and the two of you stared at the little glowing stars on her ceiling. You hadn’t seen them since the fifth grade. America didn’t’ have the deep green celestial patterns, but instead a garden of pulsing orange and purple, and yellow flowers.
You could feel the heat of Kate’s shoulder close to yours. You were so cold, even under the blankets and she seemed like the only source of comfort from the dream that lingered so heavily on your mind.
“Do you think…”
The words died in your throat. She turned her head to face you, and after a few moments of building up the courage you turned your cheek against the pillow too, staring into a cloudy grey stare that was marred with sleep, pockmarked with questions.
“Will I ever be able to see them again?” your voice was pinched with emotion. It was fear, the both of you recognized it. Her eyes glossed over, her bottom lip pulled between her teeth to stop it from trembling. You felt emotion well up in your own chest. “I know things will never be normal again, but do you think there’s a chance?”
Kate swallowed the thickness in her throat, voice barely a whisper. “I do.”
You nodded and dislodged the tears that were fighting for dominance. Kate didn’t’ hesitate to reach up and wipe them away with her gentle touch. Her thumb was calloused, but soft. A whimper escaped you as you leaned into her touch. Kate shivered at the contact herself.
“I get why I’m here and I’m grateful for it. The last thing I want to do…” you trained off, listening to the shuttered sound of her breathing. “I don’t want to hurt anyone, ever.”
“You won’t, y/n.”
The immediacy of her statement brought you comfort. It wasn’t necessarily a reflex, but a belief that she felt deep in her core. You clenched your eyes shut and scooted closer until you felt the full effect of Kate’s presence.
The movements were gentle as you slotted yourself against her, hand laying on her stomach and moving over the softness of her shirt. She held her breath for a moment, instinctively wrapping her arm around you. You pressed your nose against the naïve of her neck, slick with tears of her own.
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” She quivered with guilt.
You were starting to understand, against your better judgement, why this had happened. Kate found you for a reason, and that tension, that discomfort, that was your wolf fighting for a way to get to her. And you had.
The tears that wet her shirt, the ones that coated your cheeks, they were those of relief. You curled into Kate, taking in her scent, the two of you gripping onto each other like a vice, eventually drifting towards a fitful sleep, shadowed by stars.
There was no such thing as privacy in a house with eleven people. Not when so many of them had a strict regimen of exercise, and healthy eating. There was a stark difference from life at the dorm where people rarely arose before twelve in the afternoon unless they had class, and even that was a gamble.
Instead, you stirred to the sound of a blender and the hushed voices of an indiscernible conversation. That was followed by a very discernible sound of a cell phone camera. Even without advanced hearing, you clocked it in moments.
A small groan escaped you. It was much too early to wake up. You had never been more comfortable in your life, your nose pressed flush against the crook of Kate’s neck. She shifted in her sleep, pulling you closer with an adorably tiny breath.
“Go away,” she grumbled, the words vibrating against your palm.
You tightened your grip on the fabric of her shirt. God, it was so bright. They’d pulled the curtains back and the sun was in full force. Despite the comfort, there was no way you’d drift back into sleep. That fact alone was solidified when you bolted up at the clearing of someone’s throat.
An odd hurriedness shot through your spine, forehead knocking against Kate’s chin and leaving a throbbing spot in its wake. The girl that was under you let out another small noise at the back of her throat, rubbing her jaw while depriving the world of her stormy stare.
Natasha Romanoff leaned against the doorframe of Kate’s bedroom. Wanda had been very clear about the rank in the house, and it was of no shock to you that Natasha was pretty high up there. It was why her simple sound of alert had made your entire body tingle. You knew- your wolf knew- that she was in charge, and that she was there for you.
“I checked your room first,” She stated matter-of-factly. “Obviously, you weren’t there.”
Your cheeks reddened at the predicament you’d found yourself in, and the fact that you were sure you’d heard the click of a cell phone camera. It was almost like your parents walking in on a sleepover that got a little too cozy.
Kate sat up groggily, testing her jaw a few times, “Good morning, Nat. To what do we owe the pleasure?”
“You can go back to sleep. I’m here for y/n. We’re going on a run.”
The wary look you got from the girl in bed next to you wasn’t exactly easing your nerves. She must have gone through this before, and she would truly object if she thought it was something you couldn’t handle. Instead, her hand found yours under the safety of the duvet and gave your fingers an encouraging squeeze.
You knew better than to object to Natasha, so you followed her orders and changed into the closest thing to workout clothes that you’d packed; a pair of royal blue gym shorts and a t-shirt that was from your last trip to the west coast. Sun, fun, and Sand.
She waited by the edge of the front yard, lifting a perfectly sculpted brow at the shirt, but didn’t say anything in acknowledgment. “We’ll do six miles up, and six miles back.”
“Up?” You squeaked out, finally earning a genuine grin from her. She started to jog ahead of you, and it took you a few moments to register that you were meant to follow her. “Back?”
The two of you kept a steady pace under the heavy hand of the sun. You felt sweat slick the back of your neck, legs screaming out in protest. You weren’t much of a runner, and had admittedly eaten one too many boxes of instant mac and cheese. But your body seemed to mold to the pace with no problem. Your muscles strained for just a moment before relaxing into he burn.
“I’m sure you’ve heard from everyone in the house how they handle a full moon.”
“No, actually,” You panted out, “everyone seems to be keeping their distance.”
“We haven’t had anyone new join our pack for years. Certainly, never this violently. Can you blame them?”
No, you really couldn’t’. They had all been so welcoming and understanding. Even Kate to a certain degree. None of that eased the fear and you figured it wouldn’t’ until you actually lived it, until every single bone in your body rebroke and reshaped until you were this insatiable creature that would seek nothing but blood and carnage. It was inside of you now, you felt it just below the surface, and that terrified you.
Your chest was beginning to burn viciously, but Natasha was showing no intention of slowing down. There was an odd need within you to please her, to make sure that you kept up with her pace despite how hard it was getting as the slight incline became a little less slight.
The woods had thickened around you both and you let out a relieved breath when she trotted to a stop on the dirt trail. The collar of your shirt was damp, and you pulled your arms behind your head to fill your lungs with more sticky air. Natasha smiled fondly at you.
“Kate tapped out about three miles back.”
“This some sort of test?” You asked, working your hand through your hair.
“A test, a tactic. Whatever you want to call it. Some of us believe that if you wear yourself out before a transition, it’ll be less excruciating on the day.”
“I read about that the other day, though, they didn’t use the word excruciating.”
“That’s what it is. Don’t let anyone sugar coat it for you, kid. It’s going to hurt and you’re going to feel every second of it.”
You plopped down on a fallen log, pressing your fingertips to your temples. You clenched your eyes shut and felt your heartbeat pulse through your entire body. Never in a million years would you figure you’d be here. Natasha’s scent strengthened when she gave your shoulder a squeeze, prompting your eyes to open.
She was rimmed in the early morning sun, ringlets of russet hair fell over her shoulders. “Come on, I didn’t make you run all the way out here for the hell of it. I want to show you something.”
Before you could object, she started down the path again, this time in a brisk walk. You let out a groan and hauled yourself off the log. When you got to where she had been, you saw nothing but a thick wall of greenery and wood. Natasha was nowhere in sight.
You closed your eyes and tried to pick up the scent of her, the detergent and the lavender and the sandalwood. Upon your second inhale, you picked up in a general direction and frowned. This was all too surreal, you were physically sniffing out a near-stranger that had led you deep into the woods.
Still, you felt a blind trust as you went off the path and continued to track her down. She was about thirty feet into the woods, standing over a pile of leaves, arms crossed over her chest. You felt yourself warm at the proud half-smile she gave you.
When you reached her, Natasha knelt and pushed back the mix of muck and leaves. It revealed two metal doors that reminded you of a summer you spent with your aunt in Alabama. It was unbelievably hot and muggy, and they had a storm shelter that was carved from the earth, the walls damp and stocked with different canned food, though you had never seen a can opener. You didn’t think to bring it up as the two of you huddled close and listened to the howling wind and rain.
“This was a long-game murder plot all along, wasn’t it?”
“I’m not into the long-game.”
Her words weren’t exactly encouraging. The hinges of the doors screamed loudly from disuse and a musty scent washed cruelly over the both of you. Your nose scrunched and Natasha grimaced but didn’t say a word. An automatic light buzzed on, allowing you to see the opened space below.
It was exactly like the storm cellar, and it’s cool interior was a brief solace from the heat of the day. There was a divide a few steps into the space, a steel wall with a door in the center, sloppily welded but with enough strength to stop a beast the size of a mid-sized Sudan.
This door creaked too, and Natasha let it linger open for a moment, staring softly at you, and then back at the room. There was safety in her stance. You knew that she had the full ability to slam it shut and lock you in, but had a deep realization that she wouldn’t.
Another light was on the ceiling, casting a circle of deep yellow. There was a deep smell of dust and dirt, but there was something hard and metallic under that. Your eyes darted to the chains that were attached to the wall, large iron things that were screwed into extra support.
More than that, were the stretching claw marks that pockmarked the walls. They went deep, past the dirt and into the cement. The pads of your fingers ran over the one closest to you. Each mark stretched further than your touch. Chills shot up to your elbow, a breath lodging itself into your throat.
Your other hand clenched your stomach, digging into your ribs. Something significant had happened here. Several significant things. Tears started to form against your eyes and the worst part was, you had no idea why.
“Those are Steves,” she said quietly, joining you within the confines of the cell, lifting her chin to another set of marks. “And Tonys.”
There were dozens of markings, all different shapes and sizes. Some were digging into the clay walls, and the floors. There were distinct scent markings on each one and you found yourself able to identify ones that belonged to Yelena, and Peter, and even Bruce. They’d all changed here at least once.
Natasha crossed the room and shifted the door until it was only slightly ajar. You straightened up, heart pulling against your throat. The door was minced with deep slashes. You shoved your hands into your pockets to keep them from trembling. They almost ached.
“You feel something, don’t you?”
Words didn’t form, couldn’t. You couldn’t pinpoint the emotion that tore through you. It was akin to longing, but it was more than that. It was like the creature that was so restless within you wanted nothing more than to claw its way out and find the person who had made those marks. They were desperate and sad, and horrifying.
You closed the distance between them and pressed your touch against the deep gashes and fought back a pained cry. You dug your teeth into the back of your free hand to quell it, but a pathetic sound still escaped you.
“Kate knew that something was wrong a few months before she escaped. She was experienced, knew as much as one could know about their wolf. But there was an unrest”
“She doesn’t like places like this.”
Your words were small. You remembered what she had told you, about how she had turned the first time alone and, in a room very similar to this one. You got the stark impression that she would never want to do something like that again. So, it begs the question of why these marks were so fresh. So fearful.
“No, she doesn’t. They scare her, make her panic before the moon has any effect. But she was conscious enough to know that if she wasn’t here, then she would end up hurting someone. It just proved not to be strong enough of a failsafe.”
Kate had felt an unrest weeks, maybe months, before she had escaped and sunk her teeth into your flesh. A wash of guilt pulled at you. You’d been giving her such a hard time, pestering her and fighting her every step of the way. She’d been in immense pain.
When the pads of your fingers touched the scratches, you felt only a fraction of the longing she must have. Grimacing, you turned away, crossing your arms over your stomach to shield you from the reality of your harshness.
You needed Kate.
“Is this where I’ll be tonight?” You asked, so softly Natasha almost didn’t’ hear it.
She nodded in response, the silence mulling between you both. A small breath escaped you, pained and held within your lungs for an abnormal amount of time. You crossed the room, picked up one of the leaden chains and weighed it against your own strength.
“I can be here with you, if you’d like.” Natasha said, filling the quiet “Or if you’d rather Steve… Wanda.”
You turned to face her, grip tightening on the chain. “Kate?”
“Kate.”
Her eyes were no longer shrouded in their silver, sullen beauty. As the sun began its descent, there was a strange tangerine glow that overtook them. It started at the center of her pupil, small whisps of neon color, and then started to ebb into the confines of her iris.
You focused on them. If you thought too much about the days leading up to this transformation, then you would work yourself into a panic. You were taking things one at a time today, and that included jogging back to the compound and shyly admitting to Kate that she was the only one you wished to have in your vicinity tonight.
Though, you hadn’t thought much about the logistics. The two of you trapped in a single cell. Yelena had walked all the way out here, keeping a silent eye on the tension that lingered against both of your frames. It wore your stance down, mind racing with the ‘what if’s’.
“Once I close this door, neither of you will be released until daybreak.” Her thick accent carried a sharp edge to it that made this finite. “There is an emergency radio, Kate knows where it is.”
They’d thought of everything, really. Yelena had handed over a sheathe of needles and a small vile that you knew had to be tranquilizer. It smelled acidic and nitrate in nature. Even your rational, human side, cringed away from it.
With a final nod that conveyed good luck, and a strong, ‘I’m rooting for you,’ Yelena exited the cell and slammed the metal door behind her. From there, she retreated, and another lock was put into place after she’d slithered a coil of chain around the outside doors. Your heart picked-up it’s pace, never one for confined spaces.
Kate seemed to hear the uptake and closed the distance between the both of you. One hand found your waist and you allowed her to give it a reassuring squeeze. The other cupped your cheek, guiding your stare. “Hey, listen to me. I know this is scary, but I’m not going to let anything happen to you.”
You believed her partially because you had no other choice. Her eyes were mostly orange now, glowing enough to cast a strange shadow against her face. You wondered dumbly if yours would do the same. Something was boiling inside of you, making your entire body sweat. It felt like you were in a sauna, breathing in the hot steam after water was poured listlessly over black coals.
“I’ll talk you through everything, until neither of us can talk. Then we won’t have to.”
“Okay, alright. That sounds good.”
She nodded at you and began to unzip her sweatshirt until the teeth of the zipper released their hold. She was wearing a black sports bra and matching bike shorts, stretchy material that hadn’t set her back too much financially. They would be torn to shreds by the end of the night, regardless.
Kate’s stomach was toned. It was tanned and showed all the stamina of a beast. You tried not to let your eyes linger for too long, tried to ignore the small trail of hair that dipped below her waistband. Despite herself, Kate smiled at you cockily, but moved her hands to your own jacket.
“Is this okay?”
“Yeah.” You swallowed the dry metal taste in your mouth. “I don’t think my fingers will cooperate right now.”
She let out a small noise in response and pulled your jacket from your shoulders, leaving you in much of the same. She’d promised earlier that the two of you would go out and get clothes that you were more comfortable in, but this suited you just fine. Her pupils dilated, rushing them in more sherbet color. A stuttered breath escaping her and fanning against your bare collarbone.
“What? Oh my god, is it starting?”
You didn’t feel any different, still extremely hot to the touch and a little riled up after getting a look at Kate’s mostly-bare form. Color petaled her cheeks. She was actually blushing. Even in the dim lighting of the cell, that much was clear.
“No, no. You’re just…” She shook her head, trying to clear it “really beautiful, is all.”
“Oh,”
More blush, her eyes slipping down to the floor. “Yeah. I should probably get you secured, though. It’ll be more comfortable to sit.”
You understood exactly what she meant. Your heart was thrumming through your entire body at the compliment, though you both welcomed the distraction of a task. This task was securing locks around your wrists, and your ankles. Large iron things that could stop a lion. They were bolted into cement, digging into the foundation.
You kept your back against the damp wall, allowing Kate to fiddle with the mass of restraints. She fastened the first cuff on your wrist and looked at you expectantly. “Is this too tight? We want it to be a little loose. You’ll fill out when the transformation is done.”
“It’s alright,”
Kate diligently fastened the other three; one more around your opposite wrist, and two around your ankles. The only thing left was a chain that was intended to click smugly around your throat. She stared at it warily, eyes meeting yours.
“This one isn’t comfortable, and after tonight, you won’t need it.” She stated, using her hand to brush a stray hair from your eyes. Something was coiling in your stomach now, an unrest. A parasite that seemed to want to bubble out of your chest. “Your body will be in fight or flight mode. All of your senses will be heightened more than they are now and you’ll want to get out of these.”
“And if I do?”
“If you do, you’ll have to go through me.”
She fastened the chain around your neck, listening for the heady click. Just like the others, she adjusted and pulled on it until she was satisfied with your capture. A slight noise pushed past your lips. It felt like you had a stomachache, a cramping that would send you straight to a heating pad on any other day.
“I know, baby.” She soothed, the pet name slipping past her. She frowned, then lightened her stare. “I know it hurts. I’m right here. I’m with you.”
Her words soothed you. She backed up and sat cross-legged in front of you. There was an admiration of her control. Sweat prickled against her upper lip and at her hairline. It was an indication that you weren’t alone in this. Though, Kate Bishop had more practice, pain was eternal.
“You said I’d have to go through you,” your words were trembling. It took a few moments to force them into existence, but Kate was patient. Your legs and arms were starting to ache, just a dull thrum that reminded you of destroying your muscles to wick them back together again. “What… did you mean?”
Kate smiled and you swore her teeth were pointed at the end. Your vison was starting to blur, and you blinked away tears that dripped from your chin. “We’re not going to fight, or anything, if that’s what you’re thinking. I think our wolves- well, I think they’ll get along just fine.”
“Kate Bishop, are you insinuating something?”
“Me? No. Never.”
She let out a grunt, her hand going to her ribcage. There was a dull pop that jolted through her body and you clenched your eyes shut for a moment. Not wanting to see her in pain. Not wanting to see what was next for you.
You didn’t have to wait long. The pressure started to build in your forearm first, a tight pain that shot from your fingers all the way to your elbow. Almost as if your bone was straining against itself, and it was. The crack and splinter of it threw you off your balance with a dizzying amount of discomfort.
A scream tore through your throat, toes digging into the soft, damp floor. Kate let out another grunt of discomfort, dropping her elbow to the ground. Her chest was heaving, pulling air in greedily before releasing as if she never wanted it in the first place. Her efforts were punctuated by a deep and primal growl that took you back to the night in the forest.
All of your limbs were tightening now, two pops from your ribs and an extra one in your ankle. You were doubled over in a blind torment. Your cheek was pressed to the ground, the scent of dirt filling your senses. There was blood here too, so thick and potent that it was if it gurgled against your own tongue.
“I’m sorry,” you thought you heard her through your own strangled cries of pain. Her voice deep and words miffed by the growing teeth pressing against her gums. “I’m so sorry.”
“Fuck!” You cried out, the last bit of human semblance you could form. Your own words were minced with agonizing cries and a rumble from the center of your chest that sounded anything but human. It was feral. It was hungry.
Your vison pulsed around the edges, darkness creeping in. You shakily lifted your hand, watched as your flesh became shrouded with gore. It was shredded, dark gray fur sprouting over your knuckles as your skin fell away entirely. Once human nails had been replaced by claws, dripping with your own blood and muscle tissue.
They shined as if you had been baptized once more. Teeth- your own teeth, filled your mouth as they were pushed out to welcome new ones. You’d spit them to the ground, relished in the sweet taste of the blood that filled your mouth, only for you to spit again.
There was a howl, one distant that made your entire body stiffen under its command. You weren’t wailing anymore, and neither was Kate. The two of you had silenced, breathed hard and tried to find your bearings. Your collarbone widened, seemed to stretch like the rest of you. The restraints were tightening as you grew. As you changed.
Another howl cut through the air, this time you had the urge to answer with one of your own. At least, that was the last humane thought you had, before everything went black.

🎃halloween with the avengers and co!🎃
summary: um. you can read so
warnings: this is literally me rambling, haunted places, animated bucky having like double d’s wtf, the most unorganized thing i’ve ever made don’t judge me
a/n: this is so messy but i had so much fun just writing whatever came to mind, apologies for jumping all over the place lol but hope you get a laugh out of it anyways 🤍🤍
Tumblr media
OH MY GOD ITS BEEN A WHILE SINCE IVE DONE THIS
BUT YALL SHOULD KNOW THAT THE HOLIDAYS ARE MY FAVORITE THING
I MAY BE AN ATHEIST BUT CHRISTMAS IS THE BEST SHIT EVER
and i honestly spent halloween in my dorm bingeing movies and i’m rewatching werewolf by night and just realized i need to write for halloween so oops
halloween with the team is the best shit ever.
you want to wear a costume? no party like a stark party.
sure, some people are lazy and show up in their suits and call it a day (cough sam cough)
but it’s well made up for by peter and harley both going as tony (and arguing over who did it better) and kamala dressing as carol
yelena and nat would dress up as each other and make fun of the other
“i’m natasha and i’m an avenger and i love tight suits with no pockets so my ass looks good when i pose”
“i’m yelena and i have an addiction to sriracha and versace”
tony was going to show up as himself, but morgan wrangled the stark family into dressing as food. she’s a cheeseburger, obvi
steven convinced marc to go as an archaeologist, but when the latter fronts he instantly yanks off the funny hat and passes it to layla, who’s honestly just there to watch the chaos
wanda goes with her usual sokovian fortune teller costume, but the twins are more than excited to prance around the tower in search of candy
america brings a share of multiversal candy, some of which isn’t… exactly… edible
speaking of which, if you hand out candy instead, you end up setting up a trick-or-treating path in the tower for the younger team members, with each of the rooms serving as a stop
the eternals are split on halloween. ikaris, being the stoic dramatic hoe he is, thinks it’s overhyped. sersei’s happy to see little kids, sprite likes scaring people, you know
but with all of your experiences combined, none of you scare easily
the world’s greatest heroes can tank any horror movie with ease, barely startling at jumpscares or violent scenes
but they DO NOT handle haunted areas well
this is entirely based on my experience at the ohio state reformatory AKA the most haunted prison in the us. i went up for fall break since i used to live near mansfield before we moved, and HOLY FUCK YALL
Tumblr media
THAT SHITS HAUNTED HAUNTED
i sat in the chair room :)
and it felt like someone punched the right side of my face :(
my right eye teared up and got super red :(((
but i got a piece of brick from the chapel :D
probably have an attachment now :((((
anyway, say you convince the team to visit. even better, you rope tony into paying for the ghost tour
every single noise will send the group jumping
bucky pulls a knife out of his pocket the moment you enter the west attic
steve starts out a skeptic but ends up refusing to even enter the chapel
peter freaking out bc “omg sam and colby and shane and ryan were here”
things are just made worse when wanda starts to mumble about “restless energy”
fuck that if the scarlet witch is nervous then you can be too
just finished werewolf by night moving on to the zombie episode of what if?
goddamn animated bucky has bigger tits than me
Tumblr media
are y’all seein this shit
ok back on track
if jack and elsa are somehow involved there’ll be too many werewolf jokes made
but he’s too much of a sweetheart to really protest them
i love them so much and we only have like an hour of them 🥺
scott would dress up as an ant. i’m not taking criticism. he would try to make hope dress up as a wasp but when she refuses cassie does it.
bingeing halloween movies
arguing whether or not nightmare before christmas is a halloween or christmas movie
deciding the only right decision aka it’s a halloween movie stfu
shuri would come up with a slay costume i just know she would 😭
thor and jane would have a cringey couples costume cmon guys it’s literally canon
katy would show up as a hot dog
like the worst discount hot dog costume you’ve ever seen
shang and xialing would be forced to be ketchup and mustard respectively
once again argue with the wall
overall, you’ll have fun. it’ll be chaotic as fuck, but when it comes to the avengers, what isn’t?
hope everyone had a fun halloween! now go buy that discount candy bitches!
