i love how my first introduction to jasper william cartwright, ttrpg player extraordinaire, was not d20 or even three black halflings but the oxventure one-shot video where he's a guest to play You Awaken In a Strange Place, a one-shot game developed by jacob andrews from drawfee, a youtube channel i love dearly alongside oxventure.
that video includes the whispers of revolution in the nondescript regency kingdom, everyone having the power to explode people with their minds (the whole body, i mean (not just the head (the WHOLE body, all of it gone, this is very crucial you see))), and jasper playing a naked duke who's allergic to bricks, which is less relevant than you'd think considering the whole thing takes place in a nightclub in a building presumably made of bricks.

dudebros like mine cuz to them he’s like the sigma paterick bateman “he’s just like me” dude and get mad when u try to tell them he has feelings for daigo but they hate daigo cuz they think he’s useless. i do think the hate for daigo has died down from a few years ago thank god people are more understanding abt his character now
i do remember years ago people either being dismissive of daigo or just not liking him and thats fine you're allowed to do with that a character so w/e. it is cute though that i also do think people are starting to come around to. acknowledging what daigo's had to deal with at least LOL
the bit that did irk me when i saw it back then though WAS just blatantly misinterpreting mine's character to fit the 'patrick bateman' archetype without looking into him beyond that. that was bonkers

Are there particular let’s plays of the Zero Escape games (or other games) that you recommend?
im probably not a great person to ask about this cuz I'm not big on letsplays for games im invested in and when i am watching them im always going for no commentary
BUT if you can find any lets play of 999 that sticks to the Novel Mode (basically the text is overlayed on top of the characters rather than being relegated to a text box at the bottom) I would highly recommend watching that version since it has a lot of prose that gets lost with the ADV mode

this is so random but every time i see you in my notifs i read your username as quinnmorgoffengender or something and it took me MONTHS to realize it is in fact somebody’s name
Lmaoooo that's fantastic! but, just because today the show turned 26...
let me just say I think everyone should watch it. It truly has some of the best character development of all time, particularly Quinn, but you see the changes in everyone over time and it's the most accurate depiction of high school imo - I'm aware things are different for gen zers, but I think it still rings true. I love it so much I have two copies of it on DVD (one that was uhhhh not so legal but therefore has the original soundtrack), I have two versions of it on my computer, I basically have every episode memorized, I've dressed as Quinn for Halloween (though very few people recognize it), I can tell you the plot of each episode by just the title, I have a page on my blog where you can rank the episodes, and I even wrote fic combining that world with one of my other all time favorite shows, Arrested Development called You're Standing on My Neck (a line from the theme song, which goes tf off!) and it even has a sequel mostly written around one dumb, stupid, ridiculous joke I had combined with one specific episode, My Night at Tony's. ...And in the very first chapter of that one I all but paused the action for four characters to watch Clueless and Top Gun, because of course I did lol.
And while there are obviously many ways to watch it, if you want the most legal way, it's streaming on Paramount+, but it doesn't have the two TV movies (one between s4 and 5 and one that served as the finale after s5, though the first one is more important because it literally resolves cliffhanger relationship stuff from s4 but WHATEVER, PARAMOUNT)
And now I will just drop one of my all time fave quotes from one Quinn Morgendorffer
(P.S. Quinn's a lesbian)

You know A7X the shitty band that does the shitty COD songs Avenged Sevenfold is probably a really good example of why doing a couple songs about how war fucks up our boys here at home doesnt mean that somethings leftist or even really anti-war. Like saying that our poor American Soldiers got PTSD from all the innocent people they murdered really doesnt mean anything. Theres a live recording of one of their songs that starts with the front man saying "Whether you agree with the war or not our soldiers will fight it because thats what good soldiers do!". I think they are scumbags.

Currently going through Chapter 3 and I get the feeling that this chapter is Project Moon getting their revenge for all the people who abused Bleed decks and Yesod's floor to cheese at the fights back in Library of Ruina.
Just a hunch, y'know.
