Do u think reversel time exist or the ability to travel back in time exist? If so, what if someone with the ability to rewind time in acotar reverses it all the way back to acotar? Undoing all of feyre's and then yeah etc

Honestly nothing is really out of the realm of possibility. This is a fantasy series after all. If there was someone capable of going back in time and changing events it could definitely make for an interesting storyline.

So far within the SJMverse we know that travel through SPACE is possible with Bryce's use of the Horn.

I personally do not subscribe to the fan theory that she had traveled thorough time as well. I think that she only traveled through space within their known universe. For those that haven't read the third installment of Cresent City: House of Flame and Shadow, this fan theory was more or less put to rest when it was revealed that Bryce and Rhysand share the same ancestor, High Queen Theia. (Cliff Notes for ACOTAR/CC ancestry-> Queen Theia was the first and only High Queen of Prythian prior to Amarantha. She ruled ~ 15,000 years ago. She had two daughters, Silene and Helena. Queen Theia and her daughters traveled to Midgard. During a war with the Asteri (who had previously ruled and lived in Prythian as the Daglan), Silene escaped and returned to Prythian. Silene had the Harp from the Dread Trove. Queen Theia and Helena remained in Midgard with the Starsword and the Horn. Theia lost her life, and Helena was forced to kneel to Pelias (Queen Theia's general). Pelias betrayed them, siding with the Asteri, so that he would be named as the ruler of the Fae in Midgard (aka. the first Starborn). After Silene returned to Prythian she married into the Night Court.) Additionally, the time frame of when Bryce arrives in Prythian is confirmed when Amren tells everyone she hadn't heard the language of the Old Fae (which Bryce uses to speak to her and Rhysand) in 15,000 years. Also, I think in ACOSF it was mentioned that the Horn-one of the Dread Trove items- had been lost for the same amount of time (15,000 years). The Horn was on Midgard for 15,000 years until Bryce returned with it on her back.

TL;DR- Bryce did NOT travel through TIME. The Horn is only capable of traveling through SPACE.

I would imagine that any character with the capability of traveling through time and/or manipulating time would have to be VERY powerful. Even more so than any of the characters we have met within various SJMverse worlds thus far. I think that the only beings capable of time travel/manipulation would have to be God-tier powerful. I see the ability to travel back in time, change key events and have the results of those key events stick long term as a version of time manipulation.

If all events that have occurred in ACOTAR were pre-determined by The Mother, who is believed to be the decider of fate, then it only makes sense that anyone with the ability to change past events and make them stick would be as equally powerful. It would be really interesting to see how that could play out...I may have a new WIP now...

A Few Little Updates

Here's a little wip update for paid patrons.

I just ordered a new computer! Mine's currently 10 years old, and is soooo slow! I love her, she's been great, but it's time to move on. lol XD It's a mini pc, I'm a little nervous about that, but the specs seem great! Ryzen 9, AMD radeon 680m, 1TB ssd storage, 32 gb ram.....mine only has 12 gb of ram now lol ah. Yeah it'll be an upgrade for sure. Mine won't even upgrade from windows 10.

Anyways, I'm kind of rambling. I used to come on here and update like this all the time; I miss tumblr. I need to do corgi posts again! My Axel is as crazy as ever; him and his brother Sebastian are 3 now! I can't believe how fast time flies. :')

Of course, with my computer upgrade, I'm gonna be getting more games lol I'm super excited for Echoes of the Plum Grove; it's graphics are like, Paper Mario-esque, which is so cute. I really like Fields of Mistria, and Grimshire too.

So. Hi. It's been eight whole years, man.

A lot's changed! I go by Blue, now, and primarily use they/them pronouns. I've graduated from university twice over. I've moved out of my parents' house to live in the city I studied in with my best friend. My mom died, and so did my first cat. I've been diagnosed with hypermobility and fibromyalgia. I still haven't finished that damn book I was working on, lmao.

And now I've reinstalled the sims 3 because a whim to re-read my old sims stories hit me like a nostalgia brick to the face. Bit of a different process in this the year of 2024 of course, but so far it seems to be working alright. Even with the ungodly amount of CC I downloaded, but we'll see if that holds up during gameplay or if I have to trim... (said as if I'm not already thinking 'wow do I really only have this many hairs?)

Recreating them took forever even with genetics to go off but. The boys live!

More rambling under the cut, but TL;DR: I'm in the process of re-creating the most important Pierces and keeping the core family tree as intact as possible, and may get back to posting about my families on a more casual basis than I once did. I also have a sims 4 legacy that might pop up, and a sims 4 version of Elanya and Calypso that might appear. Plus I might need some new actually active blogs to follow.

I'm genuinely kicking past me for deleting my old sims 3 files for reasons I no longer remember, and I'm also kicking them for not having uploaded any of gen 4 for download. BUT, I have access to the the throuple and a chunk of the family from early on, plus the original downloads of all but three of the werewolves. So I think I can recreate part of the family, even if I have to re-make at least those three sims (little Calypso included) by referencing screencaps. Which is going to be easier said than done, as my adventures with the boys have proved, but it'll have to do.

Setting up Cottonwood Hills is proving an adventure 8 years later when finding builds for the residental areas is harder and also half the CC is dead, but I'm getting there.

All those WIP poses I was working on are, unfortunately, gone for good, and I doubt I'm going to get back into making them. I don't even have access to any of the poses I finished and used for the story but didn't upload. I think if I start playing the Pierces again, it's going to start off much more gameplay heavy and only start pulling in more story once I'm sure I'm actually committed. So, even re-downloading other people's poses is going to be a lower priority than other content for a while.

I've been playing sims 4 in the years between, on and off. I have a legacy called the Higas that's on gen 3/4 that maybe I'll post about if I do get back into posting. If it had all the right occults I might have just recreated the Pierces in sims 4 wholesale, despite the things I miss about sims 3 but no fairies = no chance. I might play that AU of Elanya and Calypso without occult traits, though. They are very cute!

I'm going to have to find some new blogs to follow, probably? I think a lot of people dipped around the time I did, or not long after/sometime in the time since, and my dash seems rather slow, but it's hard to really say since I haven't been around in a long time and have no idea what the current vibe is like.

We'll see how it goes. I'm still looking for a job IRL, and I have a lot of other creative commitments, but I really do miss sims 3. I'm sure there'll be features from s4 that I'll miss when actively in 3 (I already forgot there weren't separate friendship/romance bars, for one example, and my god the build mode struggles...) but I saw so many little features when re-reading that I miss.

So. Who knows! We'll see!

OGL 1.2 thoughts

WotC released their (actually a draft this time!!) OGL 1.2 today and I have some thoughts.

tl;dr I think it’s really good; releasing core mechanics under CC-BY is a massive (if hand-forced) olive branch, and I’m cautiously optimistic that if they’re willing to change course this hard, they’ll listen to feedback about the remaining points of contention as well.

SRD Intro

CREATIVE!! COMMONS!! This is literally what tons of people were screaming for (including myself) and I can’t go moving my goal posts too much. And to emphasize, this is all D&D core game mechanics released under CC-BY which is the most permissive CC license. Literally the only obligation/restriction is that you have to give attribution/credit.

OGL 1.0a Deauthorization - Still not great, but I think taken in context of the CC stuff plus what the new OGL looks like, it’s much less of a concern by itself. This is one area where WotC really shot themselves in the foot with the leak; without the context of the last two (three?) weeks this bit would be wayyy less contentious.

OGL 1.2

One thing that’s curiously missing/different here is the removal of the “Open Game Content” concept; the license doesn’t (seem to?) provide a straightforward way for 3PP to tack their own content on to the license and thus pass it on under the same terms.

IRREVOCABLE! Take a drink. This plus the (almost) No Modifications bit (below) is another big safety net.

No license back provision - They promised this and I think they delivered on it as best they can. The “only monetary no injunctive” bit is interesting and I think a clever compromise; If you think WotC stole your content you have to prove they did it intentionally, and you can only sue for money (you can’t stop them/hold their work hostage in the meantime). Given how much “worrying about users suing us for seemingly stealing their ideas” is a concern for literally every game/creative company out there (see: why companies automatically trash every copyright-able suggestion you send them), this is and understandable provision and actually a pretty a decent compromise that I have a hard time reading malice into.

Modification - 7a is basically saying they can’t change anything meaningful except a) how they can be attributed and b) how they can contact you, which they clearly explain is to leave room for future technological changes. Nothing else changes, so the license is well and properly permanent/irrevocable.

Termination - My main beef with the 1.2 license is here in the bit “We may immediately terminate your license if you... violate Section 6(f)” and 6f reads “You will not t include content... or engage in conduct that is harmful, discriminatory, [etc etc]. We... decide what conduct or content is hateful, and you... will not contest any such determination.” Even a layman can see this has a loophole big enough to drive a truck through. WotC can point to anything you do or say as hateful and revoke your OGL privileges with zero notice and you can’t even contest their judgement. This part really needs to be changed, but I also think it probably will be refined/improved somehow because a lot of people are going to have the same feedback.

VTT Policy

First off, this is very very clearly marked as like “extra double wip draft feedback requested” so I’m reserving judgement for the most part (Imagine if they’d done that with the first leak!)

Mostly it seems to be aimed in the right direction. “Using VTTs to replicate the experience of sitting around the table playing D&D with your friends.” seems like a decent baseline, although it leaves a lot of ambiguity about how different content can interact. Calling out animations as not permitted is a miss I think; there’s a couple very popular existing modules that explicitly add animation for 5e spells and actions.

The VTT policy leaves a lot of open questions and ambiguity but this whole page is better thought of as a statement of intent and a draft of a draft than real rules atm.

Conclusion

Overall I think this is a massive step in the right direction with only a few more much smaller steps to go, and I’m cautiously optimistic that they can take it to the finish line. Open-sourcing the core mechanics of the SRD is a huge win by itself, even if nothing else changes. (Yes the argument can be made that the core D&D mechanics were never copyrightable in the first place but go post some youtube videos that make Fair Use of Paramount movie clips and tell me how useful a theoretical legal defense is when a billion dollar company wants you to shut up. CC-BY means creators can sleep peacefully at night). VTT policy has the most room to screw things up but given their approach so far I’m not worrying yet.

Since I just reblogged something about it, I guess this is the best time to talk about my current thoughts and plans for my DSMP fics.

In short: I don't know.

I don't use Twitter or any social media other than tumblr, so most of what I've seen about the Dream situation are summaries shared here and people's discussion on it. I believe the victims, and I've needed the past few days to process my feelings toward Dream and how to move forward. My heart goes out to both the victims and the people in this community who feel betrayed by Dream. I may be a lorehead rather than someone super focused on the CCs, but this was devastating news regardless of your place in the fandom. I hope everyone is staying safe, and for the people whose best way to stay safe is to leave, I hope you know we support and love you.

Now, in terms of what'll happen with Gone Away, A Warden's Secrets, Pandora, and other unreleased projects, I haven't figured that out yet. c!Dream is such an important character in every single one of my projects as the main antagonist, and yet they're never truly about him. They're about clingyduo, or hotelduo, or c!Tubbo and c!Sam, and c!Dream's purpose is to hinder and/or indirectly facilitate the growth of those dynamics (by being the person the others have to deal with).

I've never intended to give c!Dream a happy ending in any of my WIPs, or even end with his victory. Hell, the main reason why all my current fics start the way they do is to give him that victory early so that the rest of the story can focus on the other characters overcoming it and eventually be victorious themselves. All my WIPs are planned out and give the main characters (c!Sam, c!Tubbo, and c!Tommy) the happy ending they deserve, and because of that, part of me still wants to keep writing them to give those characters their endings.

However, I don't want to be insensitive to the current situation. It doesn't feel right to jump right back into posting DSMP content that involves c!Dream only a few short days after this news came out, and it feels callous to not post about the situation for a couple days and then jump right back into posting writing like it never happened. I tend to be the type of person to not post a lot publicly when it comes to situations like this because I like being a space where people can come to if they need a break from doomscrolling, and so that's why I haven't reblogged a majority of the stuff I've seen, but in this case, there isn't a way to keep going without at least addressing it.

I had three more Whumptober stories planned for the DSMP and a fourth for @/aimandfire21's Bad Things Happen Bingo Event, but I don't know if I'll be able to write and post them. If I do, it won't be until the last few days of the month, just to give the situation a little time to breathe as people come to terms with what Dream did and decide how they want to proceed themselves. I may even decide to scrap my original ideas for them and fill those prompts using another fandom's characters and OCs. I just don't know yet.

For now, I won't post anything on tumblr regarding my DSMP WIPs, at least until I come to a proper decision. I will continue to talk about them privately in DMs or on Discord, but new chapters won't come out for a while, if I continue them at all. I won't be leaving the fandom entirely, but a little break feels necessary in the wake of all that's happened. I will be posting a lot of content regarding Jacksepticeye, his egos, and the projects/OCs I've created while in that community, so if any DSMP mutuals are interested in learning more, I'd be happy to introduce you. Maybe you'll find something to comfort and engage you in the meantime. 💚

TL;DR: My current DSMP projects are on halt, and while I won't be speaking about them publicly for a bit, DMs and Discord are okay. Instead, I'll be posting more about Jacksepticeye, his egos, and the projects/OCs I've made while in that community. It's time to come home.

So... I did a thing. Truth be told, I’ve had in the works since summer, but I’ve decided to just go for it. It’s almost spring, and I’m starting a new leaf in my creator journey. 

TL;DR: Any custom objects/sets I make will still be posted here, but I’m moving my pose making skills up a notch.

Something that I've always loved about The Sims has been the ability to create stories and share stories. In the last two years, I've dabbled in pose making for my own stories, and I've decided to continue to share my creations with the community.

I took a break from posing for a while, but it’s something that I still enjoy and something I want to continue to grow in doing. However, everything that goes into making poses (the pose itself, the pose pack, icons, editing, accessories, etc.), can take up a good bit of time. 

I also know that Patreon and the use of Patreon is highly contested in the simblr community, and so I’m going to be keeping CC early release times limited (1-2 weeks). CC will NEVER be exclusive to patrons.  Other CC I make will still be posted here on Tumblr and will always be free.

Patreon will allow me to do a few things that I think would be better to keep separate from my blog, so this can be a place for storytelling and other creations. I plan on using Patreon for the following:

My goal is to release a pose pack a week. There may be times where there are more if I am inspired or a time where there is a much bigger pack instead of smaller ones.

My pose creation style is really aimed at more “Slice of LIfe”. I like to make things that enhance what the game gives us, or even gives us the things the games missed (aka. pool tables in TS4).

tl;dr: I'm on TSR, Early Access Patreon Thoughts, & Life Bullshit

So, it's been a while since I've made a post like this; how are you guys? I've been alright I suppose. Life has been stressful, to say the least. But Axel, my corgi, is doing well! He's a little over 6 months old now, and omg is he full of energy! He's the cutest thing. His favorite snack is banana and he loves this giant stuffed monkey toy my mom bought him (and by love I mean he ripped all of the arms off lol).

I'm on The Sims Resource now; I've mentioned this, but I thought I'd go ahead and say it again. I debated it forever, mostly because of the back and forth I read all of the time on here about TSR, early access, and paywalled cc. The most I've ever done is one early access a month, and as a person without a job, it's hard to spend a lengthy amount of time on something and not ask for a little bit of money for it, so from that standpoint, I get it. Of course it's against EA's terms of use and in my personal opinion, I just wouldn't put any cc permanently behind a paywall. It just seems unfair (and it's pixels). I paint irl (watercolor/gouache) and I'm currently trying to sell that. There's no way I'm giving that away for free; I work my ass off on those pieces. My soul goes into my paintings, you know what I mean? But sims 4 custom content? I love making it, of course; I ask $1 if a person can give, sure, but I'd never permapaywall it because it's just not my life's work. It's not my art and part of my soul I'm putting out there. However, I totally can't judge a person for paywalling cc in the world we're in today. It's fuckin hard to make money; I get it. I'm sure some are just greedy; of course. But, I don't know their heart or what they're thinking. I honestly just pass over it. I can't afford to pay for cc.

Sorry for the rambly mess; basically I'm just tired of seeing the community arguments over this shit. Really the only way to "get rid" of people permapaywalling is just to not pay for it. You can't control where other people put their money though. But if someone has a kid to feed, a mortgage to pay, and people are willing to pay for their cc....I get it. (Just saying I don't know of anyone specific I'm just saying hypothetically ya know don't yell at me I'm sensitive lol)

This brings me to my Patreon. A few months ago I decided to go 100% free; no more one early access per month. I am probably the most indecisive person on planet Earth because I'm now trying to decide whether or not to go all Early Access. I've never went into detail about my personal life (what I have to pay for, etc) because I never want anyone to feel guilted into becoming a Patron but making all of my cc EA for 2 weeks would help a lot. Idk I'm just thinking out loud honestly.

I still have a whole folder full of wips lol. What kind of cc would y'all like to see? I'm still kind of obsessed with making jewelry. What cc do you feel the community is still lacking? I feel like there's not a lot of male cc around still. Maybe still disability related cc. I'm in the process of figuring out how to make missing limbs so stay tuned for that!

Hi, guys! I’ve been posting a lot of pictures lately, but I feel like they’re getting a bit stale and I also want to share more CC. I have so many projects in my WIP folder, so many ideas, so many new things to learn and try, so many new things to get inspired by, so many new ways to contribute to the community...

So I’d like to ask for some input on what kinds of content you’d like to see, within the range of things that are still enjoyable for me, of course.

Clothing? Accessories? Hair? Eyes? Skins? Makeup? Sims?

Buy mode? Build mode? Poseboxes? 

Conversions? Edits/fixes? New meshes? 

Tutorials?

Want to collab?

Of course, my skills are limited, but I’m all ears! It seems my motivation and inspiration are at odds and I also think I’ve started using my blog more as a creative outlet and less as a social tool and I don’t feel I’ve made as much effort to connect to the community as I used to. So basically, chat with me! Hit me up! LOL I’m not up for formal requests and I can’t say what, if anything, will get the creative juices flowing, but I don’t want to be a stranger and you shouldn’t either. ヽ(　･∀･)ﾉ

I AM BACK!

I don’t know, the past two(ish?) years have been real crappy/amazing.

TL;DR: Back from riding trains, Expecting a baby (12/2018), Got House, Lost Computer + All Sims 4, Got new computer + ALL SIMS 4 expansions!, Going to fix dead links on @devoidcreations, and get back to simming :]

I used to post everyday, and make CC and I was super involved and then my life fell apart and I didn’t really have time to just veg out on my computer for hours and hours, which is what it takes for me to be active and play the sims.

Basically life fell apart, said screw everything and went to ride fright trains around the country with cool new boy I met. We came back to Maine winter 2017, and in April 2018 I found out I am expecting a baby! (winter is boring)

We got a 13 acre property and a tiny house (I still don’t know where I’m going to put a baby in here let alone my two dogs??) I have been very sick this pregnancy, if any of you know me back in 2015 I was in the hospital a lot for acute vomiting, well whatever it is translates over to hypermesis gravidarum, which is like morning sickness, except on crack and all the time. I am 21 weeks now, the sickness has been a lot better since 14 weeks when I had to go to the hospital a lot again, even if I get sick all day now it’s usually managed in the same day or by the next one so not terribly dehydrated.

Oh cool new boy, how I love you, and I love our baby, but why did you have to spill water on my laptop ;_;

My laptop from before I’ve had since 2014 is frieeeeed, I can probably get the stuff off if I take it to bestbuy? I have NO CC, all my WIP and original CC--gone, all my gameplay photo----(oh my god I just thought of this) All my gameplay photos are GONE! Not only just the sims stuff though, all my art and the photos ive been dumping off my phones for the past four years are on there too.

I’m excited to start a new sims game having all the expansions and stuff packs, excited to get back into the community, excited someone finally separated overalls (train kid CC woooo)

One of the Shadowhunters/TMI lots I’m working on is The Shadow Market, where Downworlders can shop for all things curious and curioser. It’s one huge lot with 4 shops inspired by RL novelty shops.

This one's a Relic shop based off of expensive af jewellery store The Gold Bug.

Tessa Gray is one of Magnus Banes’ friends. She’s 1/2 warlock and 1/2 nephilim, and is one of the ancestors of Jace Jonathan Christopher Wayland Lightwood Morgenstern Herondale.

Tessa’s got no problem with ducks, fortunately, but like me she is baffled by the abundance of beavers everywhere. :P
