Director: we know you’re good at making props, we could do with a spell book for the ‘double double’ scene.
Me: I got you fam.

Witchy Reminder:
While it is nice to have a fancy leatherbound, beautifully inked and decorated grimoire...
It is not a necessity. Before I could afford to have and had the time to make one that is as pretty as mine is now...
My grimoire was a damned plastic folder stuffed with notes on notebook paper. Which turned into a plastic binder just the same.
It is not the tools that make the witch.

my super sweet fiancé got me this handcrafted journal for christmas, and i've held off writing in it until now. i've been disconnected from my craft for so long, so i've decided to just start from scratch. this is my new grimoire! i'm adding just the basics for now, and i'll add my experience and my spells as i go. i'm absolutely obsessed with it!

Introduction
Hello, friends from cyberspace.
My name is Levi and I'm a witch. I want to take a moment to welcome you all to this space that we are creating here. A safe space, without judgement, where all are asked to come with an open mind. A place where I can share in my journey with you, whoever you may be. If you are actively working against others beliefs in the name of your own, this is not a place for you.
My journey into witchcraft, believe it or not, started in an Anglican church. My father is a priest. I was a strong believer in what I had been taught, how I had been raised. But things change.
I began exploring witchcraft six years ago, reading up on Wicca, then jumping to the satanic bible, exploring the opposites of all that had been preached to me throughout my life. I mellowed out with kitchen witchery, plant magic, tarot.
But what really started it for me was the altar that my dad would set every Sunday morning. The ritual to it. The magic. I love setting my own altar up. Deciding what goes where and how they interact, the theater of it all, really. My practice truly began at the altar. My first purchases were altar cloths, candles and a small cauldron that I still use to this day.
My journey now is mixed, always ebbing and flowing with the seasons of my life. I am going to share my search for knowledge with all of you as often as it seems fit. There will be times where I ask for guidance from those more experienced than me, and I am excited to see what you all have to say and share.
Feel free to come and go as you please, those whose intentions are good. As we go I will dive deeper into myself and my spirituality. For now, blessed be.

Since it’s Nov 5th, I would just like to say that Diana Wynne Jones wrote a whole book about a world that had fucked up its projected path and had become a hellscape of modern witch trials and when they finally find out what went wrong it’s because Guy Fawkes actually blew up the Parliament instead of failing and it was such a big explosion that it introduced magic to the world and made everyone deathly afraid of it. Anyway
