Not Wizards of Waverly Place getting a sequel series????

I miss Alex Russo soooo much omg. Was getting a kick of nostalgia and wanted to look into my favourite couples from that show.

First of all though, Alex Russo is such an Ashwini m'kay.

And secondly, I was kinda surprised that her first (and best) love interest is Dean who's played by a Jupiter nakshatra. I so wished he was Rahuvian but the Ketu x Jupiter pairing strikes again cause he's actually Purva Bhadrapada Sun, Punarvasu Moon and I think it'll make more sense if I just rewatched the show (very fitting for a Punarvasu to like a Ketuvian though). But I remember they had the most outstanding chemistry idgaf what anyone says.

THEY DID THEM SOOO DIRTY. Literally so much chemistry and cute banters gone to waste!!

Another one is not particularly a love interest but in Season 2, there was a whole WizTech storyline in which this evil kid falls for her. He's Ronald, a wizard like her, and he's a Hasta Moon -- which makes sense as he used trickery disguising himself as Dean to break up with her as him so that she could go to his school. Hasta men using deceit, trickery and disguises to get what they want... LMAO.

And her third love interest (endgame) is Ketuvian himself, being Ashwini Moon just like her. Also, a Rohini Sun (Ketu x Moon pair again). Visually they looked cute together and had amazing chemistry. And this was Disney's most beloved couple for a reason.

Loved them. All the angst and drama and shit.

BUT Dean was too much of a solid boyfriend and he was soo sweet and had no drama; I WAS ROBBED!!!!!!!!!

Okay but the BEST relationship she's had? Overall? Her and Stevie, IMO. Yup, Stevie who is Revati. Both effortlessly embodying the mischievous troublemaker trope so well. Them literally being partners in crime. Stevie is also Anuradha Moon. And Anuradha natives can often be misunderstood delinquents. But their dynamic was mostly Ashwini x Revati; both being gandanta nakshatras and both being extremely mischievous "evil geniuses" for their little pranks and schemes.

And they had a deep understanding towards each other and I'm pretty sure they were gay for each other too.

Yeah but I miss Alex and Dean's banter fr :(

also the real explanation i was going to draw was either that the security guy is just wearing a cloaking broach or that he is just so stupid so silly so stupid he's just like wow huh this is some costume party! these costumes are all so good!

and why did big mama hire some humans? its because her yokai employees unionized and so she has to pay them a lot more than she wants to but the humans are a mess so she hires them when she can to save money aka to hoard money

One of Disney’s signature comedies, Wizards of Waverly Place, is getting a sequel. Disney Branded Television has ordered a pilot for the follow-up, which is executive produced by original stars Selena Gomez and her small screen sibling David Henrie.

Gomez will guest star in the pilot for Disney Channel as the character that helped launch her career, Alex Russo, with David Henrie reprising the role of Justin Russo as a series regular. He is joined by new cast members Janice LeAnn Brown (Disney’s Just Roll with It), Alkaio Thiele (Call Me Kat) and Mimi Gianopulos (American Princess). It picks up after a mysterious incident at WizTech, where an adult Justin Russo has left his wizard powers behind, opting for a normal, human life with his wife and two sons. But he gets a surprise when a powerful young wizard in need of training shows up at his door… and Justin must embrace his past to ensure the future of the Wizard World.

Hybrid Wizards Sequel stuff

Justin is headmaster of WizTech like at the end of the original Wizards, Max has taken over the Waverly Sub Station from his parents, and Alex is a famous artist. Harper is a famous fashion designer with plans to write her Future Harper books after the Magic Reveal occurs later (might be tied into the FWC plot after the kids have grown up).

Juliet has taken over the Late Night Bite from her parents, and it's a running joke among the extended family that she's competing with Max. Not sure what Mason is doing, if he's a famous artist like Alex or something else. Zeke is a teacher at Tribeca Prep who directs the Alien Language League he and Justin were part of, and the position allows him to keep an eye on the kids at school so he can cover for any hybrid-wizard stuff.

Mason is the house spouse.

Willow and Gus are seemingly normal (though kinda quirky) kids who attend Luz's school. She either befriended them before she got enrolled in the wizard competition or shortly after.

During the early "episodes" where Luz and Hunter are still getting used to each other, Hunter has tunnel vision. He's in the human world to study magic and become the most talented powerless wizard out there, not to make nice with other humans. So, he has zero interest in mingling with Luz OR Luz's weird friends.

(This changes as time goes on obviously. Because COME ON. Justin and Zeke's alien language club is so Hunter and Gus coded.)

It's eventually revealed that neither Gus or Willow are human.

Gus is a wizard and the star student of Hexside (which gets a downgrade to be more similar to Wiztech in this au.) and is so far ahead in his studies that he's taken a "gap year." So, he's living out his dream of attending a real human school and experiencing the culture and he's having a BLAST. (Tbf Luz probably should have realized earlier that Gus wasn't human since he frequently loses his shit with excitement over EVERYTHING. She just assumed he was the world's most relentless optimist.)

Willow isn't a wizard, but a forest nymph. So she can't do all kinds of magic the way Gus can but she has a dangerous amount of power over nature. She can control it fine as long as she stays calm. So it's very important that Willow Park NOT get angry or she'll turn the whole school into a jungle and blow their cover to the human world. She's a bit of a ticking time bomb.

Since we're already fucking around with wizard shit and don't have to play by the rules, I want Amity to be Juliet. Vampire!Amity supremecy. She's got the vibes down. Very pale. Feral energy. She's actually half wizard on Alador's side so she attends Hexside.

When the Noceda siblings attended Hexside for a short time, Luz and Amity met and they immediately got off on the wrong foot, and Luz eventually got banned.

They reunite like a season later when Amity's parents relocate their business to the human world for some nefarious reason and she and Luz continue their rivals to friends to lovers arc. It's not revealed she's half vampire until later on but once the truth comes out, many twilight jokes are made.

Vee's role in this story as the only Noceda sibling who wants nothing to do with all this magic shit, and is constantly embarrassed by her family's antics. She wants to go to school and hang out with her friends and have the normal human teen experience. Unfortunately the universe just won't allow this. Vee loves her family too much and Luz, Hunter and King are constantly flinging themselves ass first into mortal peril and Vee frequently has to tag along to keep their asses alive. Hunter likes to believe he is the most mature and rational of the siblings and Vee just lets him believe because it makes him feel big and she loves him.

King is simply eight years old and has been unleashed on a brand new world and now he gets to cause all the chaos he wants. This ranges anywhere from pranks to scams to attempts at world domination. The suspension of disbelief also applies here. He just throws on a hoodie and everybody who sees him is like "yeah that's a regular human child. Carry on." It's very funny.

I've been thinking about it since last night and I still can't believe Wizards of Waverly Place is getting it's own sequel series, starring David Henrie. He didn't return for that special reunion movie that took place a few years after the series ended and this new series comes a big surprise. What's more shocking though is the plot reveals, Justin gave up his powers, settled down and is now married with two sons!

The last time Justin was seen was when he along with Alex got to keep their powers after the Wizard Family Competition and he ended up becoming the new Headmaster of WizTech. Not to mention, he also got back together with his beautiful vampire girlfriend, Juliet! So these details about the new series is VERY Shocking to say the least.

I wonder what the hell could've happened to Justin that would make him leave the Wizard World behind and more importantly, I CAN'T BELIEVE Disney Channel would destroy yet another great romance aka Justin and Juliet!!! They were the Perfect Couple! Hell they were honestly my favourite romance on the show so WHY!!!! Not to mention after everything they went through after being sadly torn apart only to be reunited, they go and do this!!!! Why, Just Why!!!

S2 ep6-7

WizTech is forced to close, and the Russo’s must take in Professor Crumbs and fellow student Ronald, who quickly develops a connection with Alex.

In the second part of the two-part Wizards of Waverly Place special, "Saving WizTech", after her enrolling in WizTech, Alex realizes her new crush, Ronald, has kidnapped her former boyfriend, Dean and put him into jelly. Before she knew this, Ronald invites her to a game of tetherball on the Tower of Evil, which causes her to turn evil. Before it is too late, Alex realizes that Dean was the one she truly loved which turned her back to normal. Now, Alex, Max, and Justin must team up to save WizTech from falling into the hands of evil Ronald and his not-so-evil father. Meanwhile, Justin is concerned with all the Wiz World advertisements (which the Wiz World executives tricked him into putting all over the school in exchange for removing the plastic balls) that have been corrupting his school work.

Also Alex will turn evil but no one will realize, well maybe accept Justin, cause as far as everyone knows, she realized that dean was who she “truly” loved and she turned good again, but Justin is really worried and tries to say something but is ignored

This also gives way to how her arc ends, when she realizes she truly loves Harper

YEAH so.

I think when Ronald fakes the Dean breakup, Alex finds herself relieved rather than upset. She confesses this, and Ronald takes it as 'oh you're relived because it frees you up to date me!"

I might up the stakes on what he's doing and the overall danger to match the tone.

Which yeah when she realizes that Ronald is the danger, she goes feral on him. Freaks everyone out. They manage to talk her down from doing something she'll regret, but barely.

Afterward Alex does break up with Dean for real and she talks about it with Justin this time of she did it because she felt relieved when she thought he broke up with her but why is that?

He eventually gets her to realize that she felt wrong about it because she wasn't really into him, was trying to force it because he's an ideal guy, and miiiight be in love with someone else.
