Ten Things: Obi-Wan
Dude this is actually so long.
Anakin noticed a lot about his master but never had the heart to say it out loud.
─── ❖ ── ✦ ── ❖ ───
1. My Master doesn't sleep as much as he tells me to. Totally hypocritical!
"Now Anakin, come, it will be beneficial to both of us, I promise." Obi-Wan assured as he dragged Anakin along, his right hand holding Anakin's, his other holding his probably third cup of caffeinated tea.
"Or is it his fourth?" Anakin thought to himself, making a face as they walked. He looked up to Obi-Wan before shifting his attention to the classroom Obi-Wan promised they'd have 'fun' in. Obi-Wan let Anakin choose their seat while he went to go get more tea. "Number five." Anakin mumbled as he chose a table by a window. Anakin himself actually sat towards the aisle, the window wasn't for him, it was for his master.
2. Obi-Wan loves to lecture me about 'paying attention' and 'being focused' but he's a total space cadet. You like staring off, so let me do the same!
Obi-Wan sat down, sliding a cup over to Anakin, "It's caf, fixed the way you like it. Don't tell anyone." Obi-Wan whispered, winking as Anakin did back before taking a huge drink of it. Anakin watched his master, trying to place the uncertainty he sensed, should they have sat closer? Don't old people lose their hearing? What if Obi-Wan's too old to hear now? Anakin looked down, how old was Obi-Wan anyway? That question would have to wait, for the voice of their teacher silenced the room.
"Good morning, everyone, I'm glad all of you have chosen to come to this." Master Plo Koon smiled, "Over the next few weeks, we will do several excercises to strengthen the bond between master and apprentice..."
"That's what this is." Anakin thought as he looked around to see what other Jedi had trouble-some padawans too. Maybe he could make a few friends, he hoped he would for the only face he recognized was that of Barriss Offee and Master Unduli. Glancing up to Obi-Wan, he saw Obi-Wan scanning as well. Anakin looked again, trying to figure out who his master knew.
"...Our first assignment is to make a list, these will not be shared with the class, only with each other and me." Plo Koon had been talking this entire time, Obi-Wan nor Anakin had paid attention. They both wore the same expression of panic as they realized they were both first class space cadets. "... The list will be composed of ten things you know, like, or dislike about your master or your padawan. The point of this exercise is to be completely open and honest, for good communication. If/when you hear something you're not fond of-"
3. Obi-Wan sucks at communication. Like, sucks. I think it's 'cause you're so shaky from too many cups of tea but you're actually really charismatic and charming until you're not. That's something you could work on!
Obi-Wan was itchy. Not actually, but something was crawling around in his mind. Anakin knew it. He also knew Obi-Wan was not paying attention.
4. I know when you're doing something you constantly tell me not to do. If you do it, I will too!
Anakin looked over to Obi-Wan and smiled, taking a drink of his caf. He hadn't wanted to come to this seminar thingy, especially since it was gonna be four whole weeks of 'bonding excercises' but as Anakin listened to Plo Koon about being honest, he got excited. Anakin always wanted to tell Obi-Wan everything but he was always too scared to say all he wanted. Maybe he was scared of disappointing his master.
5. If I've ever disappointed you, I'd have no idea. You're really good at forgiveness and Master Yoda says you're really understanding and you always give people the benefit of your doubt.
"But is that always a good thing?" Anakin frowned, looking at his list. Was he even doing this right? That's the one thing that bugged Anakin, they never actually told him how to do things, everyone only ever talked about feelings and light. It's supposed to be a metaphorical light but Anakin didn't know that until at most a week ago. How was he supposed to learn when everyone spoke in riddles?!
Looking over to Obi-Wan's paper, he tried to figure out was his master was writing. Probably that I'm really awesome and he wishes he had as much swag as I did! Anakin smiled at such an amusing thought. But looking up to his master's face, seeing his frown of concentration, Anakin let that idea slither away. He was definitely not writing about that. Whatever he was writing was probably thoughtful.
6. Whatever he does, he does it gracefully.
Anakin puffed his cheeks before slowing exhaling the air, angry that he couldn't write as much as Obi-Wan clearly was. That was something that drove Anakin crazy.
7. You're so good and you don't even know it! Like you're amazing I'll literally never be as good as you! I hate that! I hate that I'll never be like you!
Anakin was quick to erase, embarrassed by his lack of control. That was another Anakin wished he had. Obi-Wan was patient, thoughtful, quiet and very aware of himself. He was not loud, impulsive, insecure or anything. He was everything Anakin wished he was. So what is he not? Anakin looked over again, Obi-Wan's hair seeming to glow gold as the sun shown upon him. Making Anakin frown in his master's shadow.
7. You spend a lot of time on your hair.... You're always doing something, meditating, doing your hair, reading, making and drinking tea, when have you just done nothing for a while? You always have to be doing something.
"Class-" Plo Koon called for everyone's attention. But instead of Anakin's eyes going to Master Koon, they went to Obi-Wan. He watched as Obi-Wan's hand stopped writing, how he reread what he wrote, how his left hand gripped at the tunic covering his stomach; Anakin sensed that same uneasiness Obi-Wan had when they first came in but Obi-Wan tuned into Master Koon and that feeling faded away so much that Anakin could barely sense it. But it was still there, lingering under the surface
"We're almost out of here-" Obi-Wan leaned over and whispered, a small smile of excitement on his face. They were gonna do something. Anakin smiled back, excitement flooding through him. He really liked when Obi-Wan was rebellious.
8. I constantly imagine you to be a picture-perfect padawan, like the poster-padawan of what every youngling should strive to be like, but then you'll sneak me out of the temple to go on a speeder ride through the city. I like it when you have fun.
"Come on!" Obi-Wan spoke as soon as Plo Koon dismissed them. As all the Jedi left in the same composed manner they arrived in, Obi-Wan picked up Anakin and they practically ran out of there. Their laughter echoing as Obi-Wan did break out into a run down the cooridors, "As long as Master Windu doesn't catch us, we have a chance!" Obi-Wan laughed.
Anakin laughed, gripping their papers and Obi-Wan for dear life as he ran. "Where are we going?!" Anakin asked, not caring about all the faces of Jedi watching them probably break at least 15 rules.
"It's going to rain." Was all Obi-Wan said before setting Anakin down in a supply closet. "Come now." Obi-Wan continued as he started up a ladder that seemingly led up into blackness. But Anakin was with Obi-Wan, so he wasn't afraid.
9. Ever since I met you, I knew you were gonna keep me safe. You've always picked my side, always had my back. Even when I know I'm driving you crazy, you'll still bring me caf or quickly get me not muddy robes to change into. You're always there for me, with you, I always feel safe.
Obi-Wan opened a hatch and climbed out, turning around to help Anakin up. "Look!" Obi-Wan pointed, a childlike smile on his face. Anakin crawled out and looked in awe. Coruscant. The city was going to soon meet a dark storm, that same storm would then meet the temple, but at least not for some time. "How did you like the seminar?"
"I guess it's not as lame as I thought it would." Anakin admitted, crossing his arms and laying down, staring at the sky. "I'm kinda excited to share my list with you? But I'm also kinda scared." Anakin admitted.
Obi-Wan looked over and gave his padawan a soft smile, "Why are you afraid?" Why would he possibly be afraid?
"I'm just being honest and I'm worried that when I read it to you you're going to be mad, or you're not gonna like what I wrote about you." Anakin sat up, fiddling with his thumbs. Obi-Wan sat up too, but he had yet to say something. Anakin knew he would though, he was just thinking of the right thing to say. That was another thing-
10. I wish you wouldn't think so much. Just say it! Don't worry about making people upset or saying the wrong thing or saying too much, I do it all the time and you or anyone else haven't gotten mad at me for it, so you don't gotta be afraid-
"You don't gotta be afraid-" Anakin blurted, looking over at his master, "I know you don't wanna upset me or say something stupid, but you never say anything stupid, so just, say what you wanna-" Anakin shrugged, then looking down, almost ashamed at himself for speaking his mind. But he didn't have to be afraid.
Obi-Wan frowned, his mind tried desperately to think of something to say, anything he could say, he looked over to the city, "... When I was younger, Master Qui-Gon took me up here, we danced in the rain and spent the entire time laughing until we were soaked." Obi-Wan smiled at the memory, but his smiles never last, quickly it faded, "...I wasn't always afraid, Anakin, often I see myself in you, but," He clenched his tunic. That unsettling feeling caught Anakin's attention, who then turned and grabbed Obi-Wan's hand.
"You don't have to be afraid-" Anakin whispered, "What happened?" Anakin asked before looking up, feeling that first droplet of rain. Looking back to his master, he saw that deep sorrow his master carried, Anakin felt himself wanting to do anything to make Obi-Wan happy again.
"I don't know.." Obi-Wan whispered, feeling his eyes water, ".. I can't seem to place it, I-" Obi-Wan ran out of things to say, for he never knew what to say in the first place. All he did was sniffle, holding Anakin's hand tightly, afraid to let go. Anakin frowned, wishing he could do anything to make Obi-Wan happy again. That was another thing Anakin realized. Obi-Wan was brave, kindhearted, patient, charismatic and graceful. But he was also sad. He was always so sad. Anakin didn't want him to be, his master deserved to be happy like Anakin had become again, Obi-Wan deserved to smile and laugh without some stupid thing taking it away from him. "I'm terribly sorry, for all of this.." Obi-Wan hung his head in shame.
"Come on, Obi..." Anakin felt himself tear up at the sight of Obi-Wan doing the same, "You didn't do anything wrong, you're not doing anything wrong." Anakin spoke softly, most times, when Obi-Wan was upset, he never let Anakin know it. When Obi-Wan cried, he only did it when Anakin wasn't there, but Anakin knew, he always knew. He knew of all his master's sorrow and how hard he tried to not let anyone see. But right now, all Anakin thought about was how sad Obi-Wan was, and all Anakin could do was wait and hope Obi-Wan would say something, wait and hope Obi-Wan would feel better some day, but Anakin didn't want to wait for Obi-Wan to be happy, he wanted Obi-Wan to be happy right now, he wished he could make Obi-Wan happy, or at the very least,
11. "I wish you weren't so sad..."

I know it's a comedy manga, but the ww manga probably has one of my favorite manga interpretations of Link. Mainly because he feels accurate to his games. He's quiet, he can talk, but he mostly just communicates his thoughts through his actions and body language. He's also just a silly little guy.

what i like especially about the pronouns in the goblin emperor is that this language doesn't just have the T-V distinction (aka informal vs. formal second-person pronouns, in this case 'thou' vs. 'you'), it also has informal and formal first-person pronouns. having BOTH of these distinctions in the same language lets you fine-tune your tone by mixing and matching. with only one axis of formality, when you use informal pronouns, are you being familiar in an intimate way, or in an insolent or dismissive way? when you use formal pronouns, are you being polite or standoffish? you can't tell just from the pronouns; there's ambiguity. but a language where you can use a formal first-person pronoun in the same sentence as an informal second-person pronoun allows you to distance yourself (via the formal first) while also being familiar (via the informal second), thereby achieving the conversational tenor known to linguists as Fuck Thee Specifically.
#just kidding i don't know what linguists call that tenor. or any tenors. i'm not totally positive what a tenor even is#but i can't let that stop me from writing a jokey post on tumblr dot com#register is a very interesting area of linguistics that i know very little about#so i'm probably revealing the depths of my vast ignorance here to all the sociolinguists who surely hang on my every word#but i've always thought of the formal/informal pronoun thing as being about two things: intimacy-distance & rudeness-politeness#and of course you can usually tell from context whether a formal pronoun is meant to indicate distance or politeness#(plus distance and politeness are related to each other (to various degrees depending on culture))#but it seems like it would be cool to have a built-in alignment chart of sorts just for pronoun combos#instead of prep jock nerd goth...why not try intimate self-effacing polite superior?#the goblin emperor#pronouns#register#sociolinguistics#my posts#f#anyway i know i said i wasn't going to reread the goblin emperor...but guess what. lol#and i edited my tags on that earlier post but fyi the language DOES distinguish between plural and formal singular pronouns#i had said i thought it used the same pronouns for plural and formal but i just wasn't paying close enough attention#so anyway i just reread the part where maia is talking to setheris in formal first and informal second#and you can see setheris going ohhh shit. oh shit oh shit oh shit#i'm in biiiiiig trouble#you sure are dude. that's the Time to Grovel signal#it's interesting because at the very beginning of the book when i first saw the formal first used i just thought it was the royal we#because i knew the main character was supposed to be royalty#but then EVERYONE was doing it. so it's not the royal we it's just the formal we#however. this does make me realize that the way the royal we would function in a language that retains the t-v distinction#is the same way i'm describing here. it's just reserving that particular tone (i'm better than you and am displeased with you)#for royalty only. which makes sense given royalty's whole deal

Have you taken any pottery classes or were you entirely self taught? I REALLY want to get into it but classes are quite expensive
I took some sculpting in undergrad, but it was in the context of casting and mold-making, not ceramics. So I'm fairly comfortable with clay as a medium but not so much with clay as an end product--not being able to do armatures and having to think about firing is weird. (If I had the opportunity to do bronze casting again, though, I would, no hesitation.) That puts me in the minority of my current pottery peers, who are largely self-taught or only learned in our studio.
I do pottery now at a co-op studio space, and technically that means that I'm taking classes there--but the classes are more like guided lab time? There's not really assignments or anything, and there's only a couple other people who sculpt, none of whom are in my class. Mostly the class just means that the person in charge demonstrates a technique or two once a week and then lets us do our thing.
Personally I think that shared studio space is the absolute best way to go. You spend less in startup costs (kilns are EXPENSIVE, running kilns is expensive, glaze is expensive) and it plugs you directly in to a group of fellow artists who can help and support you at whatever skill level you're at. Yes, classes are expensive--my class is $250 per season. But for me that includes lab space, 50 lbs of clay per season, almost all of the glaze I use, kiln time, and other people doing all the maintenance and kiln loading/unloading etc. Very much money well spent.
Artist-run shared spaces are often not turning a profit on anything with studio fees, just covering operations costs, so while it's pricey, it generally is just...what it costs to do that hobby. And it is sooooo much easier to be motivated when you're going to what is, basically, Grown-Up Art Club.
Tumblr media
But if costs are prohibitive for you to do pottery via classes, and you want to learn to sculpt, then get some polymer clay and see what you can do. It's a different game than actual clay, but form is form, and the medium is secondary to figuring out how to translate an idea into reality.
Polymer clay is relatively affordable and doesn't require nearly the infrastructure of ceramics. If you can't spend the money on classes or a shared studio, then polymer clay is a great way to develop technique and an eye so that when you're in a position to spend the money, you already have the skills to make it worth what you're spending.

a quick guide to dog lords, telling your arls from your teyrns, and generally how ferelden works
Tumblr media
okay, this isn't quite what anon asked for, by which i mean not at all, but unfortunately they activated my interest in some of my favourite lore. it should hopefully contain a lot of the relevant stuff and i’ll try to branch out to less fereldan specific information in other posts!
okay, let’s start with the hierarchy. there’s four kinds of noble in ferelden
royalty: you know who these guys are. except for during the orlesian occupation, ever since ferelden became one kingdom, it’s been ruled by the theirin family. which i think is for 388 years, i really hope that’s right, i got out a calculator
teyrns: these are super powerful lords, basically banns so powerful that other banns swear fealty to them. they’re second only to the king, who is essentially just the most powerful one of them. there used to be a lot of them, but with one dynasty in power for so long, that kind of opposition has been eroded away. there are only two remaining: the couslands of highever in the north, and the mac tirs of gwaren in the south
arls: these are extra special banns. they answer to a teyrn or king and hold a strategic fortress for them. we know of six—amaranthine, south reach, denerim, redcliffe, west hills, and edgehall—but i’m unsure if that’s because they are only six or because there are unnamed others
banns: these are your common or garden noble, the lowest ranking and most common. this is your local lord type. they seem to vary the most in power, though, with some banns having big speaking roles in the landsmeet
but i kind of should have written that list in the opposite direction. what do i mean by that? well, in your standard medieval hierarchy, and in a lot of the rest of thedas, power comes down from the king, who lets you hold the land. but in ferelden, most of the land is owned by freeholders: commoners, well-off enough to own their land but still not by any means nobles.
how does that work? well, let’s say i’m a freeholder.
i own my land, but thedas is a rough place. if i want to keep my land, i’d better swear fealty to a bann. i’ll pay him a portion of the goods produced on my land, and in return, he’ll protect my land from anyone wanting to beat me up and take all my goods... and also, you know, not beat me up himself, as he probably would if i didn’t have any bann looking after me. it kind of sounds like he has all the power, right? like a medieval protection racket? it’s certainly how he gets his power and wealth
so i, freeholder harker, have signed up with bann jeff. it makes sense, because he’s the closest to my freehold, and i want soldiers to actually get here in time if i’m in trouble. that’s why my family has been swearing fealty to his family for generations. it’s just how things are done
but the thing is: i hate bann jeff. maybe he takes too much of my harvests, maybe he sides with a different freeholder when we go to him with a dispute, maybe his men don’t mind their pleases and thank yous when they come for my goods. i’m well within my rights to say fuck bann jeff and leave him. especially if there’s another bann nearby who would be perfectly happy to take my goods instead and treat me right. and the less freeholders bann jeff has, the less resources and men he has to make a fuss about it with. if bann jeff pisses off enough people, he might not have any freeholders left at all. and where will his wealth and power come from then? maybe soon he won’t be a bann at all
of course, bann jeff’s family might feud with the family of the bann that stole me away for a few hundred years. but that’s hardly my problem, is it? “courting” someone else’s vassals is apparently the biggest cause of conflict within the bannorn
anyway, this isn’t just how banns work; it’s how all power theoretically works in ferelden. there are no serfs/“unfree” men. every peasant has a right to go where he will and choose which freeholder he works for, just as every freeholder has the right to choose their bann, and banns who swear to teyrns can break away. (the latter is probably less common because a teyrn could fuck you up. i’m guessing you’d have to get the king’s backing about it to survive that.) and even the king answers to his lessers in the landsmeet, the super ancient gathering of nobles where law is made, which can override the king on any matter of law. (but they’re not going to do it if the king is really popular or powerful, because. you know. there’s a limit to all things called common sense and they would prefer not to get squashed about it.) but generally, everyone who holds power in ferelden has to curry favours with their so-called lessers in order to keep their goodwill.
everywhere else in thedas thinks this is weird as hell, by the way. having to court the approval of those beneath you? even the king having to do that? wtf? but the level of freedom means everything to fereldans. it’s their highest ideal and they’re really proud of it.
(the people who really don’t have a voice are what the ttrpg calls “low freemen”, which according to its handbook, consists of criminals, prostitutes, and elves. they still have the right to freedom of movement and to be paid for their work, but they’re not going to have freeholders and banns seeking their favour and speaking for them, and they typically have to resort to bribery for entrance to cities, their homes are bought and sold by others on a whim, things like that. ultimately it makes their position incredibly vulnerable to abuse, as we see in the games. i’m sure we’ve all played the tabris origin. there’s a reason the potential boon to get a bann for the alienage is so wild.)
so, let’s say you made it, everyone loves and/or tolerates you, and you’re a noble. what good does that do you and what can you do? firstly, you have a voice in the landsmeet, which is super important and means the king wants your goodwill and advice. more generally, you have three basic functions of a noble: raising taxes/tribute, commanding soldiers, and dispensing justice. nobles are expected to live off the wealth provided by their land and it would be hugely looked down on if they did work instead, with exceptions for, like, military careers and the chantry, which are respectable for their status. they raise militia from the commoners when necessary, and they also have trained soldiers or possibly knights (see postscript) in their service. that means you can protect your land and you can win glory and spoils when the kingdom goes to war, it also means you’ll be expected to provide those men when your liegelord calls for them. and lastly the law is their responsibility. remember how in the awakening dlc you had to make judgements as the arl of amaranthine? like that! the smaller scale you are, the smaller scale it’s going to be. in turn, if you want a dispute sorted by a higher power, you have to go up to your liegelord, maybe a teyrn or the king, or if you can’t get one of them, a more powerful bann or arl in the area. possibly the chantry would be an alternate option? if it’s just about finding someone you will both listen to, which is usually the main issue
some privileges other than the standard “power over those beneath you” that you can typically expect to belong to the noble class, even if it’s not specific to dragon age: the right to carry a sword, the right to have a coat of arms, the right to precedence on formal occasions and a special seat up front in your local chantry... sometimes niche ones, like fabrics and clothing that are only permissible to wear for people of a certain rank, so it distinguishes them. you can expect favours from/common class interests with your king, you would expect to be given a trial or treated chivalrously if things did not go your way, depending on era you might be captured for ransom in battle rather than killed outright, you probably have exemptions from certain royal taxation... etc. etc.
that’s what i have! i hope these are some helpful fundamentals and that anyone who has more knowledge than me on any aspect feels welcome to contribute it
P.S. as an aside, i’m a little confused about the fereldan use of knights. they definitely exist as lesser nobility, but i don’t understand how they fit into the hierarchy. a real knight was typically a vassal who held land from his liegelord and fought for him in exchange. i... don’t know how that works in the context of land ownership mostly going upwards. they’re definitely around, anyone addressed as ser is a knight, you have the knights of redcliffe and people like ser jory and ser cauthrien. (someone in an order like the templars has the rank of knight and gets ser and everything, but is not a noble.) as a rule of thumb i think generally they’re probably just members of noble families with that dedicated military training and no greater title to lay claim to? i’m basing that on stuff like nathaniel howe being sent as a squire to his mother’s cousin, a chevalier; if he’d completed that he probably would have been a knight unless/until he inherited his father’s place? i don’t know. i’m making this up. and on the other hand, there’s very little distinction in fereldan between your regular noble and a some kind of warrior class, which is why i struggle to see the purpose. (there are also inexplicable career soldiers who are not knights. what the hell is funding that upkeep and armour, buddy. you and whose land ownership? this is why you were fighting the darkspawn with your whole arms out, aveline. stop trying to imply ferelden has a standing army you can go off and join. yes i see you carver lore. i will not buy it.) ANYWAY, because knights are more prevalent in certain areas, i do wonder if it’s an import from the long orlesian occuption, based on the knightly order of chevaliers? i don’t fucking know. worth chewing on

i seriously hate when someone is like “well xyx could be related to this mental illness or neurodivergence” and someone feels the need to come in like “well *I* have depression/adhd/am autistic/etc. and i shower consistently, am not messy, understand social cues, am great in school and work, and am overall a functional and ‘normal’ person so it’s no excuse uwu” literally shut the fuck up lmao
like what do you get by shitting on other neurodivergent ppl who struggle more than you do? of course having something like autism isn’t an excuse to do whatever you want with no regards to others, but it can explain why you struggle with other things more so than neurotypicals do. give us a little patience and understanding. don’t act like just because YOU can “overcome” your conditions it means the rest of us are not trying hard enough or are being lazy or whatever.

#spinda#AAAHHHH YES!!! our belovèd spinda. from their café!!! probably one of my favorite minor characters from pmd sky#whom i don't even think was in the original explorers games. i think spinda's café was exclusive to sky. if i'm remembering correct#ly. or maybe that was shaymin village. i know shaymin village was for sure but maybe it was just that and not both of them. either way#have a delicious drink and allow the flower of conversation to bloom! i could quote spinda all day. he had “hopes and dreams” before toby#ever did. THAT'S ALSO like i had no idea what spinda's pronouns were. i kept trying to figure it out because i talked about him quite a lot‚#but no one in game ever talked about him. to mention his pronouns? turns out. there's ONE line of dialogue where the post office fucker in#shaymin village mentions him and calls him a he. i think that's the only time spinda is referred to in the third person with a pronoun#i believe it's when they're talking about like. how you can send gifts or whatever and pick up the characters' responses at spinda's café#which is still a really fucking good feature. of any video game. SEE WHAT I MEAN spinda and their café is just an incredibly good      Thing#it's to the point where my home wifi network is named “Spinda's Café Wi-Fi” because i love it so much. so if you're ever runnin around#and you see a wifi network by that name… it might be me! you never know! or… it could be the real deal. the real spinda's café is somewhere#nearby…! ugh. i wish. i would go there immediately#not even to mention all the other shit about this pokémon that's really good. like that they never walk in straight lines or whatever#their little dance. it's just.  huUGHKLJKAHJVDHJHDAJSVGD i love spinda. a nice pick-me-up after the underwhelmingness that was grumpig#shake it this way… shake it that way… and stir it all around… and it's done!

Don’t think I ever quite said what my LGBTQ+ headcanons are for the boys, so these are my current thoughts! Always changing of course but this is what I feel most strongly right now.
#rottmnt#rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles#rottmnt headcanons#rise donnie#rise leo#rise mikey#rise raph#donnie and leo’s sexualities being practically swapped was unintentional but it works way too well#same with mikey and raph tbh it was a happy accident#anyway I kinda hc raph as the type who doesn’t care about physical appearance just if you fight lol#Mikey’s more than happy with friends and family#Donnie is a BIG romantic but he needs time to sus a person out fully before he gets the hots for them#leo meanwhile isn’t keen on romance unless it’s with someone he grows to really really REALLY trust#I could go on and probably will later (knowing me) but it is late and I am tired haha#turtle art tag#curious as to what everyone else headcanons#the only one of these I’ll defend forever is Bi (female-leaning) donnie and trans leo#all the others can change over time but I really like where they’re sitting right now#I hope these are the right flags too because it was kinda hard to find them#went looking for transmasc flag in particular but I couldn’t find a solid agreed upon version 😭#ngl a big part of why I hc mikey as aro is because of a pun#my phone often misspells aromantic as aromatic and- and you get it- because aromatic herbs and- and Mikey is a chef do YOU GET IT#note that while I hc leo as bisexual (male-leaning) I still think he’s prob closer to demi in that as well just not as far into the spectrum#if that makes sense#headcanons are fun and hard to narrow down at the same time alas#I made this in like an hour can you tell djjdjd#I drew them all from memory so if there’s anything wrong…shhh#and if you’re wondering for April and Splinter#Both are Bisexual (female-leaning) but April is also Panromantic#I almost wanna make Splinter demiromantic too so Big Mama’s betrayal hits just a bit harder
