dorcas and zoya always have the best gossip, alecto and aurora always have the best rumors

all of them are slytherins and they share a dorm together. there's makeup, clothes, wigs and magazines everywhere

they're one of the popular groups in the school, and by that i mean thag everyone knows them and a lot of the students are intimidated by them because they're cool when they're separated, but when they're together they're a force to be reckoned with

their meet-up place is the astronomy tower because aurora loves looking at the stars. the astronomy tower is where most of the gossiping starts because that's where people go to snog and sometimes they (the girls) are left unnoticed

all of them are chronic procrastinators and always do their homework either the night before having to hand it in or the actual day of the deadline

they're also friends with sybill trelawney (mostly aurora and dorcas), and sometimes she's also included in their conversations, but she prefers spending time with the people in her house

zoya ane alecto tried convincing dorcas and aurora to show up at one of the pureblood formal events disguised as distinguished women, but they failed miserably

dorcas lives in islington and the rest of the girls (alecto and zoya live in london, aurora is welsh) always make sure to stop by and have lunch at the greasy restaurant on the street dorcas lives on

their favorite time of the week is friday evening because that's when they get time to do makeup on each other and dress up and have fun in their dorm

alecto and zoya fill them in on all the pureblood drama happening at the events during the holidays and they laugh about how dramatic the black family is being when something doesn't go their way

alecto fills them in on all her boy drama and on all the stuff the boys she goes on dates with do

dorcas and aurora briefly dated in fourth year and that was actually what made them become friends; dorcas and alecto had been friends ever since their third year, and zoya befriended them in their fifth year

always go to hogsmeade together, it's a tradition at this point

they look really judgemental because they always sit around the castle and whisper things to each other while looking around them. they do judge the students passing by, but most of the time they just laugh about whatever couple might have appeared during the last week

because i feel like the entire cast couldn't've been all the same age. c'mon guys. (yes, i do know that some of these have canon different ages. i don't care tho)

gryffindors:

frank longbottom and alice fortescue are about 3 years older than the marauders/valkyries (james, sirius, remus, peter/lily, marlene, and mary) and act as sort of mentors to james and mary.

kingsley (can we please change his last name) is also the same year as frank and alice.

emmeline vance is about a year younger than the marauders/valkyries. she has a combination of admiration and jealousy for being older and cooler.

slytherins:

the pantheon (dorcas, evan, regulus, barty, pandora) are a year younger than the marauders/valkyries.

davey gudgeon is a the marauder's age, but due to low slytherin birthrates and uneven dorm numbers, was lumped in with evan and regulus as dorm-mates. they ignore each other.

the ophidians: alecto carrow, zoya zabini, and aurora sinatra are the same age as frank and alice. look up to bella a LOT.

bellatrix is in her 6th year when the marauders arrive, and in her 7th when the pantheon arrive.

narcissa and lucius are 3 years older than the marauders (same age as frank and alice)

Marauders era band AU headcanon requested by the little man in my brain

⚠️tw: mentions of abuse and implied mental health issues, also light swearing⚠️

• Bellatrix, Andromeda, Narcissa, and Regulus had a band called “The Death Eaters”

• Rita Skeeter was a reporter, in fact one of the only ones the band agreed to have interviews with

• after Regulus, transitioned (everyone was supportive) he decided to leave the band and stepped out of the spotlight for several months, before returning with another band “Snakes and Skittles” (like the Slytherin skittles but not bc it’s modern/muggle AU)

• Bellatrix was in a Relationship with the band manager, Tom Riddle, for a while

• he severely manipulated abused her and basically blackmailed her into silence

• no one knew, not even Andromeda, and when Bellatrix became more stressed and bitchy, for what seemed like no reason, that among other things led her to leave the band and join their rival band “the Order of the Phoenix”

• Now only down to two band members, the girls decided to get some recruits for a new band of Death Eaters

• the new members included Zoya Zabini, Lucius Malfoy, and Rodolphus and Rabastan Lestrange

• Narcissa didn’t like these changes, her only family anymore was Bella, and she was different than the sister she knew

• then, when she developed a crush on the guitar player for The Order, Alice Fortescue, and even considered leaving the band

• but she knew she couldn’t leave Bellatrix

•but she had no one she could talk to about anything, so she wrote her feelings down

• which progressed to her releasing an album independently

• Bellatrix was pissed when she found out, it was less about the album itself, and more the fact that Cissa had kept it a secret from her

the ophidians headcanons because brainrot <3

all of them have a middle name; dorcas' is adraina, alecto's is raine (they often make fun on their similar middle names), zoya's is carmen, and aurora's is cassandra

alecto randomly picks them up and spins them around whenever she feels like it, which is usually at least once a day. dorcas tickles her, aurora finds it funny, and zoya (lightly) kicks her in the shin

zoya, alecto and dorcas play on the quidditch team (seeker, beater and chaser/captain, in this order), and aurora always goes out of her way to cheer on them at every match

every summer, aurora invites them over to her cottage in wales to spend a few weeks with her. her parents love her friends, and they often go to the market to sell the fruits from the sinistra's garden together. dorcas really loves it, alecto does most of the picking, so she's now relaxing on a chair, and zoya hates nature, but she loves her friends so it cancels out

alecto finds it very funny how one of aurora's favorite musicians is frank sinatra, and her name is so similar to his

on that topic, love listening to music together, despite having very different music tastes; dorcas likes r&b, soul and jazz, alecto is a big fan of blondie, zoya likes édith piaf and very specific songs of queen, and aurora likes bowie and frank sinatra

alecto, despite having really short hair, is good at braiding hair, and always braids aurora's. the other two like watching

dorcas and zoya are always bickering, and people often think they're genuinely fighting. usually, only aurora and alecto can tell that there are no hard feelings between them

used to follow narcissa around all the time. narcissa, being older, a prefect, and mysterious, was the object of study of all of them (back then, they weren't friends, though). narcissa only liked dorcas and aurora, though, and even in their later years, they took pride in it

dorcas and alecto love play wrestling each other all the time. zoya doesn't join in because she thinks it's "childish", aurora because she easily bruises and the other two can land pretty heavy hits, so she'd rather not risk it

zoya is really good at sketching people, and that is what she does in class, sketch her friends, when she's bored. sometimes, aurora, who loves painting, fills them in with color at the end

absolutely a suit girl, through and through, but she also rocks those long, evening dresses

110% queer, only her friends and her partners know that, though

despite how much she likes to deny it, she's friends with mary macdonald, and they bond over their love for their (very different) friends and fashion

she's also friends with alecto carrow, but their friendship is more of a thing that started about because it was needed to (both are from influential pure-blooded families) but eventually they really did become friends. they were never as close as zoya and mary, despite the fact that alecto and zoya were proudly displaying their relationship

had a complicated, sort of enemies-to-lovers relationship with dorcas. what they did couldn't be called dating, and zoya loved to see marlene mckinnon jealous over them

speaking of marlene, it was well known that marlene and zoya resented each other, and they didn't even try to deny it

she crushes everyone on the quidditch pitch, hands down. james is a very good player, not a huge fan of slytherins, and he admits to her being an excellent player

always wears a gold necklace that she had been give years ago by her mother. later, she would give it to her son, blaise

she never killed her lovers; there was a curse cast on her, that when she falls in love deeply and there is no way of coming back, her lover dies. she wished to the stars that she could get rid of it, but she never did

is a late owl, and only a morning person when she wants to be (say, when she has to get ready for an event)
