#zygarde method

I was having a conversation with a friend, who started their own DID journey around the same time as me. Our recovery goals are different (they call their goal "the Zygarde method" which, if you've seen mention of the Wishiwashi method on this blog, has a lot of similarities to that), and we're in different places of recovery right now (they've very much reached functional multiplicity at this time and we have not), but it's been really nice to have someone grow with me side by side as we figure out our DID together.
We all know what integration and fusion is, right? Integration is the breaking down of dissociation between parts, fusion is when two parts become one part. But I've realized more and more that the nuances behind what "fusion" is may look different from system to system. For one system, fused parts think and act as one identity with no distinct parts. For another, fused parts are aware of the individual composite pieces of themselves and may even be aware of when a specific piece is the "most prominent" piece at that time. Still another system experiences fusion as being a conglomerate of pieces who, while still distinct, are all sharing thoughts and feelings and memories and opinions with each other and are so in sync they effectively seem to be one identity. And these are just a few examples of what "fusion" may look like.
I think it's beautiful how our experiences can be so different from each other yet there's still a sort of common thread tying all of this together into the same concept that we call "fusion". But I also think that how fusion has been talked about in DID spaces has been so limiting and seems to paint it as only one thing. No wonder some people are hesitant to pursue fusion if they believe it to be akin to losing the multiple parts into one larger part. I encourage people to try to expand their understanding of "fusion" and "identity" and "self", and try to understand what all of that means for you and your system.

Pokemon Horizons Episode 88 Review - A Tricky Battle
I feel like this episode is just a testament to how far Liko, Roy and Dot have come since the start of their journey. They’ve come a long way. I feel like a proud parent just seeing them face off against Zygarde and not be jobbed. Overall, this was a battle-heavy episode.
It was nice to see that it was just the kids battling with their strategies and then Amethio going in alone at first, before he decided to blend in with the others. It shows how the kids are used to battling with each other while Amethio was always a bit of a lone wolf before his turn. I do like how strategic they were with wanting to prioritize Crocalor’s Disarming Voice since he’s the only one who can do super-effective damage on the Dragon/Ground type. Despite their tactics, Zygarde is on another level, so the fact that it overwhelms them and destroys the Tera makes absolute sense.
I love the twist that Zygarde wasn’t actually hostile and that it was only testing them. Though, I felt as if it was testing Gibeon more than the kids. Seeing Liko and her bond with her newly evolved Meowscarada was a sight that probably moved its heart and what it lacked from Gibeon. Gibeon was too obsessed with Laqua and Laquirium that it failed to lose sight of what’s important and that’s the bond between people and Pokemon. That’s why it decided to leave him.
Gibeon was a pretty good villain to me. He’s very ruthless but in a misguided way. He’s not persuaded by anyone and that his actions were all his alone. His breakdown was satisfying to watch in a way. His selfishness lead to his downfall. Hopefully, he’ll start a path to redemption so that Zygarde will return to him one day. Though, now that his partner is gone and his plans have been foiled, is he going to die?
I feel like the end of an arc always leaves with some surprises and Floragato evolving into Meowscarada was one of them. I really liked how the evolution played out. It was clever that the writers made it so that Floragato remained standing due to her Grass-type being resistant towards Ground. I really liked how the evolution animation went too! It felt like a sort of magical girl transformation. The way Flower Trick was animated was really nice too! It gives that sense of surprise like it does in-game.
Since this is the penultimate episode, it makes me wonder what other surprises there will be as the new arc’s teaser does tease that something will happen with Friede. People are assuming he’s dead or injured, but I theorize that he might return to Exceed to research Laquirium and find a way for it to not harm Pokemon unlike Spinel’s methods; Cap having his googles probably means that he’s retiring from sky faring to return to life as a researcher. I mean, there has to be a reason why Exceed is always showing up occasionally, right? And that Sodayo’s appearance means that there used to be previous members of the Rising Volt Tacklers, symbolizing that some can leave. Maybe all of this is to hint Friede’s return to his job as he did get a burnout before and that the events of this journey helped him get that spark back…
I want to know your thoughts on this episode and also your opinion on the upcoming arc as it is an unusual one where the protagonists actually age—a first for the Pokemon anime series. What do you anticipate for the finale and for the events of the future arc?

Adam's bond with Zygarde is closer to that of a protagonist with their respective cover legendary than one of the villians in Rainbow Rocket. There was no subjugation or cruel methods here. Zygarde is not a slave - not that Adam could keep a being of such power in metaphorical chains even if he wanted to.
My ultimate idea behind this is that the shock to the biosphere of Adam's timeline was not done to destroy it. It wasn't done for power, or greed. It was done to end the exact sorts of imbalances that Zygarde fights against, and it was done genuinely. It was absolutely and utterly pure in motives, however horrific in actions.
Adam is not trying to control Zygarde because of its power - frankly, he would do what he does without it. But working with it, to ensure the planet continues to thrive and rebuilds better than before?
That he can do.

Saw someone recategorizing Legendary Pokémon and thought I might give it a try myself. Obviously this is long-ish, there are a lot of Pokémon to cover, but I’ve already committed to this bit where I care deeply about Legendary classification so what the hell.
Arceus: It’s fucking Arceus what more do I need to say -Arceus
Mythologically Significant: They have specific legends associated with them and are usually thought of as gods. -Kyogre -Groudon -Rayquaza -Uxie -Mesprit -Azelf -Dialga -Palkia -Giratina -Tornadus: I’m not entirely sure with the Forces of Nature, but PLA really reinforces them as incarnations of the seasons so I’ll put them here. -Thundurus -Landorus -Enamorus -Xerneas: Debatable? It controls life energy but probably isn’t the source of all life energy…still, my gut says it goes here. -Yveltal: Also debatable, don’t think it’s in charge of all death, but this placement feels right. -Zygarde: Governs the balance of the ecosystem, role-wise it has more in common with the Weather Trio than Xerneas and Yveltal.
Mew: So like. I wouldn’t say Mew is exactly tied to mythology? It’s definitely significant, but I don’t know if I’d directly link it to culture either; it’s, like, ecologically or genetically significant, I guess. Also it has a fixed encounter in BDSP so I’m not going to count it as Mythical. -Mew
Culturally Significant: Specific legends, considered a big deal in certain regions and/or have had a direct impact on human culture. -Raikou -Entei -Suicune -Lugia -Ho-Oh -Celebi: Fixed encounter in Virtual Console Crystal…buuut that’s no longer available for purchase, so this could also still be considered Mythical. I’m going to put it here since the method does exist, and it’s honored as the guardian of Ilex Forest. -Regigigas: Ancient civilization sealed away the Regis after worshipping them, apparently, and Regigigas is said to have moved continents. Still, none of these feel as important to the world as a whole when compared to the Weather Trio or the Creation Trio. Also there seem to be several specimens of the original three Regis so they might belong in Super Rare Pokémon? For simplicity’s sake, I’ve split the difference and the whole family is placed here. -Regirock -Registeel -Regice -Regieleki -Regidrago -Jirachi: Fixed encounter in BDSP, so that rules out Mythical. Hard to say for sure, the lore is limited and doesn’t really tie into much. Honestly I’m mainly counting this as culturally significant due to its real world association with Tanabata. -Cobalion: I don’t know that I’d say the Swords of Justice have much cultural significance, but there are specific legends about them so I think this is the best fit. -Terrakion -Virizion -Keldeo: Fixed encounter in Crown Tundra, no longer Mythical. -Reshiram: While the Unova dragons represent Truth and Ideals and…emptiness? They don’t embody those concepts in quite the same way as other trios. So I think their significance is more cultural than mythological. -Zekrom -Kyurem -Meloetta: Fixed encounter in Indigo Disk so no longer qualifies as Mythical. While a bit obscure, its association with the arts makes me feel like it should be considered culturally significant. -Tapu Koko: The Tapu are regarded as deities so could be moved to Mythologically Significant, but they’re linked more to Alola and its people than anything else; their cultural significance is what’s most important. -Tapu Lele -Tapu Bulu -Tapu Fini -Zacian -Zamazenta -Eternatus -Glastrier -Spectrier -Calyrex -Wo-Chien: The Treasures of Ruin…might not have quite as much significance, per se, but they seem to be unique and have a very specific legend passed down in Paldea, so I think this is the best spot for them. -Chien-Pao -Ting-Lu -Chi-Yu -Okidogi -Munkidori -Fezandipiti -Pecharunt: I struggle with this one. Officially, it’s a Mythical. But it has a fixed encounter in the DLC. There is an event item you need to trigger it. But I think the item’s available indefinitely? Meh, I’m just going to say it’s non-Mythical, and while we did get that cool video explaining its legend, I don’t know there’s anyone who would be telling that legend in-universe? Still, it’s the reason why the Loyal Three came to Kitakami in the first place, so I’ll consider it culturally significant for now. -Ogerpon -Terapagos: Meeeeehh…I mean it’s only rare because it was thought to be extinct, and the only “legend” about it was in Heath’s book and was so heavily obscured no one even knew its name. The Terastal Phenomenon derived from it has made a huge impact on Paldean culture, though. It’ll go here for now.
Mythical Pokémon: It’s a sub-group and you can’t tell me otherwise. I’m being a little strict here and only including Pokémon that are entirely exclusive to events, so a lot of Pokémon introduced as Mythicals aren’t listed here because there are now fixed, repeatable ways of obtaining them. I don’t really have a good in-universe metric for this category, you see. -Victini -Diancie: I guess? Lore-wise she’s a mutant Carbink so I want to say this is just an evolution we haven’t fully figured out yet, but at the moment you can only get her through events so I kinda have to put her here. -Hoopa -Volcanion -Marshadow -Zeraora -Zarude
The Folly of Man: Artificial Pokémon that yeah I guess can still be counted as Legendary, y’all would crucify me if I said Mewtwo wasn’t actually a Legendary. -Mewtwo -Genesect: Also qualifies as a Mythical but I think this category is the better thematic fit. -Type: Null/Silvally -Magearna: Fixed encounter through the QR scanner in Sun and Moon, so not Mythical. Artificially constructed, though it doesn’t quite have the same “crime against nature” vibe as the above three.
Ultra Beasts: Pokémon who access our world exclusively through Ultra Space/Wormholes. These ARE Legendary Pokémon, I don’t care what anyone says, they’re strong and weird and are involved in legends; also including the Cosmog family and Necrozma here for simplicity’s sake. -Cosmog/Cosmoem/Solgaleo/Lunala -Necrozma -Nihilego -Buzzwole -Pheromosa -Xurkitree -Celesteela -Kartana -Guzzlord -Poipole/Naganadel -Stakataka -Blacephalon
Paradox Pokémon: Pokémon brought to our present time (world?) by Sada/Turo’s time machine. Whether or not these are Legendaries is a debate worth having, but I’d personally count them as such. -Great Tusk -Scream Tail -Brute Bonnet -Flutter Mane -Slither Wing -Sandy Shocks -Roaring Moon -Koraidon -Walking Wake -Gouging Fire -Raging Bolt -Iron Treads -Iron Bundle -Iron Hands -Iron Jugulis -Iron Moth -Iron Thorns -Iron Valiant -Miraidon -Iron Leaves -Iron Boulder -Iron Crown
Super Rare Species: Rare? Yes. Powerful? Yes. But there are a comparatively large number of these buggers running around, and I don’t think they even have any specific legends associated with them aside from just being rare. So I don’t think I’d call these Legendary after all. -Articuno -Zapdos -Moltres -Latias -Latios -Deoxys: Fixed encounter in ORAS, no longer Mythical. -Heatran -Cresselia -Darkrai: Fixed encounter in PLA, so no longer Mythical. I can’t justify it as mythologically significant, and the lore surrounding it feels on par with standard Pokédex lore. Sorry buddy. -Manaphy/Phione: Fixed encounter(s) in PLA. These two have always been in a weird spot, I’m just gonna leave them here. -Shaymin: Fixed encounter in PLA. The most specific legend I can think of is it creating a field of flowers, which is extremely tame when it comes to Pokémon. -Meltan/Melmetal: Repeatable so long as you have Go and Let’s Go, non-Mythical. -Kubfu/Urshifu
Borderline: You could probably make a case either way for these? For now I’m going to categorize them as non-Legendary. -Unown: Rare, mysterious, featured in a movie, shown to have some kind of connection with Arceus, can’t breed. But probably not Legendaries themselves? My own personal theory is that the Unown are part of Arceus in a similar vein to how Zygarde works, but take that as you will. -Larvesta/Volcarona: I feel like we mainly accepted Volcarona wasn’t a Legendary was because it evolves and breeds, but all conditions are out the window at this point so I think we need to re-evaluate. Volcarona definitely felt Legendary when it was introduced, but now it’s much easier to find Larvesta, so…maybe not. -Gimmighoul/Gholdengo: All over the hecking place…but, can’t breed, have a ridiculous evolution method and a busted Ability, and their Shinies are event-locked for some reason. Also special due to Gholdengo being Pokémon #1000. How we feeling about this one?

(@wingsofachampion) Hiya! What did Lysandre do? -Tropius
Hi Tropius! Thank you for your ask.
Although this was quite a while back, Lysandre was the leader of Team Flare, a group that sought out to 'bring peace to the world' using extreme methods.
Team Flare has done many malicious things that threatened both the people and Pokémon of Kalos, but none of them were as devastating as the big battle between Team Flare and big Kalos League trainers such as Champion Alain, runner-up Ash. Ketchum, Elite Four member Malva and many others.
Team Flare wanted control over Zygarde, one of the three legendaries in Kalos's aura legendary trio. Zygarde oversees Order, which makes this Pokémon play a pivotal part in keeping the world's ecosystem in order. Team Flare almost succeeded in controlling both of Zygarde's cores, but thanks to our noble heroes and Pokémon, Team flare was defeated and Lysandre is MIA.
Despite Lysandre's good intentions for the world and his wonderful inventions, his methods were less than humane and to say that his ending was deserved is not a stretch. Unsurprisingly, he's a businessman, so who knows whether his intentions for the world were truly good?
(He still has GREAT fashion sense though. If he made a clothing line I'd totally buy that jacket he wore.)

everyday i thank chespie for helping squishy escape (and have a life-changing experience with a bunch of children /affectionate) because i'd be scared for how things would've turned out if neither of the cores escaped
We should always thank Chespie for his brave sacrifice in service of the Legendary Blob o7 Your countless days lost under a neverending sleep will not be forgotten and I hope you get to make them up by having the most fun ever (off-screen and without worries for the rest of your days) <33
It really was a meaningful interaction, no matter how short it was, and I'm sure Squishy still remembers the little fella. I love how Chespie, even after experiencing So Much in the specials alone, after being sent away by Mairin after having a argument with Alain, still went to help someone. Even if he couldn't help his friends, he could still help Squishy, right? Even in such terrifying circumstances his moral compass was pointed straight to the exit, even after getting hit by the energy, even after being left behind by Squishy themselves (by his own urging, of course). We barely get to see much of Chespie, but it's such a shining trait that leads him in every situation and it's so beautiful. Even though Mairin got fridged by association (:/), I've got to hand it to the Chespin - he reached my heart all the same <33 (in literally 4 eps lol).
But also ahhh you're putting some evil thought in my head, anon >:0 /nm. Tbf Team Flare only got Z2 after Squish talking to them, so if Squish was still with the bad guys it would be hard for them to track the other one down. But also damn, did you see how they were forcing the blob to merge with the cells against it's own will? The way those scientists barely blinked as they watched the scenes? There would absolutely be atrocities commited if they got both on hand for sure: now that they have the set (and no one else wiser to stop them, because this is a Legendary that is largely unknown and unseen), Team Flare have carte blanche to do whatever they want, and their methods are not pretty or soft. And Alain wouldn't know because he is focused on strength, and Mairin wouldn't have known because she was too busy trying to get Alain to see her stick around be safe and Chespie is usually never away from her. But one small fight got the small Pokemon seeing a different path and setting a weaker being (to his mind at least) free, even at the cost of his own freedom, and that set up the domino effect for the rest of Kalos at large.
And in a way, Chespie is protected in a way that Squishy wasn't, even in his sleeping state. Because he's with Mairin, and Mairin is with Alain, and Lysandre needs Alain for his plans. And so, even if Lysandre knows that Chespie set one of the Zygarde Cores free (I think he does know??), he can't really do anything to them. There really are a lot of layers to the TSME that I can peel away, but yeah, Chespie really was the instigator for the good change. After all, it was he who showed kindness to Squishy first, and softened him enough to maybe, just maybe, trust Bonnie afterwards. And so the snowball effect rolls on.
#when you think about it squish's arc started by getting out of the facility thanks to a pokemon#vs clems (and bonnies) starting because they are kicked out by an invention#something something leaving a place that made you stagnate something#ngl now that i think about it is it just a chespin trait to be brave??#checking eps and pointing at them: see! they're always this busted in the anime (don't look at what happens to them later)#the snowball (almost wrote snowbelle) (yes that's a fic name now) effect is interesting bc not only squish is affected#where he goes on to have the best journey ever with a bunch of kids /aff#but also pushes alain to appreciate the world more and find ash as well#and in the au also gets mairin to do [spoilers] which is also cool#now that i think about it mairin's with steven too and yeah maybe don't Do That lys :)#speaking of the champ what do you think he's doing after the specials?? he just dips until the crisis#where he knew what was going to happen? or at least had an inkling to come to lys labs so quickly#also what do you think chespie experienced through the coma? ngl that always used to confuse me#as in how does getting blasted by squish energy make you go to sleep??#but i have my own crazy theories for them because i can lol#when you think about it chespie sacrificed his own journey for squishy (so they can have their own journey heh)#still made me sad though. how mairin's light dimmed because of chespie going through it#and having no context or knowledge except that fight and telling chespie to leave her alone#and then alain leaves her too. 'so he can help them' but she's alone now!#in probably hostile environment considering what chespie did#that she doesn't even know. and she doesn't know how long anything is going to last anymore#yeah now i'm sad in real time too :(#anyways do you think that squish meets chespie again and thanks him and stuff??#maybe even meets mairin?? or alain lol#ngl chespie should get some sick powers as payment for that stuff. or at least the best health ever (tm)#diancie delivers

Hopes/pipe dreams for Pokemon Legends Z-A that I'm making up as I go along:
More Mega Evolutions obviously.
More Regional forms obviously.
New Xerneas/Yveltal forms. Maybe a new Zygarde form somehow? I don't know how it would work with the percentage system unless they decided to make a 200% form or something dumb like that, but it could merge with Xerneas or Yveltal ala Necrozma.
Random idea: A Carbink evolution. It looks like something that should evolve, and it could help expand it's backstory on how it's tied to Diancie. Or just a way for Carbink to evolve into Diancie.
Furfrou's various haircuts changing its type instead of all forms being Normal - gameplay-wise, it sorely needs something to stand out from all the other fully-evolved Normal types. The Rotom forms give a precedent for this. What I'd change each haircut type to: Heart = Fairy, Star = Ice, Diamond = Ground, Debutante = Electric, Matron = Poison, Dandy = Grass, La Reine = Water, Kabuki = Fire, Pharaoh = Psychic.
Expanded lore for Volcanion, given how it's the only Legendary/Mythic that has both little lore and no extra form. Given how it's steam-based it could easily be a sought after by many characters for its ability to provide power/energy, or just be the main source of power for the city/region.
Since Mewtwo won't exist yet, maybe a Mega Mew as a counterpart? I mean, if Legends Arceus is anything to go by Mewtwo will probably appear in a time distortion equivalent given its own Mega forms.
Full-on pipe dream territory:
A third, genderless/non-binary Meowstic form. It would probably require a genderless Espurr though, but that's not impossible - Lycanroc-Dusk requires a special Rockruff for example. Maybe Pyroar and Indeedee can join in on the fun as well.
Given how close Galar is to Kalos, the Galar fossils appearing how they were supposed to be and not the mangled things they were revived as in Sword/Shield.
An alternate evolution for Doublade that's a full-on offense version with 2 or more swords. It could have higher Speed at the expense of Sp. Atk compared to Aegislash's Blade Forme.
Maybe regional forms or evolutions for Simisage/Simisear/Simipour to try and help them make up for their lack of popularity (I personally like Simisage and Simipour though).
An alternate evolution method for Malamar that doesn't require the system to be held upside-down.

don’t have much for aus as pokemon right now but i do know that fresh has to be something that evolves in a method similar to gimmighoul, or is obtained in a manner similar to spiritomb. also he looks goofy but is stupidly broken in the right context.
So true, Anon. So true.
Sticking to his parasitic nature, he's very... bizarre. Like Deoxys, he could originate from outer space and came to the world via a meteor or something. So maybe he's more like Venom. Ever since the meteor shower, Pokemon Centers have started keeping record of Pokemon that are brought in with strange ailments. At a first glance, the affliction seems similar to Pokerus, but is more harmful than beneficial. More importantly, each Pokemon's strain seems to be a bit different... almost like different pieces of a bigger puzzle.
Maybe, if someone were to bring enough of these afflicted Pokemon to their specialized research center, they could finally piece this mystery together...
Or, in other words, gather enough disease particles to reconstruct Fresh or something lol. Maybe he has different percentage forms, like Zygarde

(ackkkkk i was gonna rb this but then i lost the post and had to find it again ×_×
so im trying again!!! )
EEEP SOMETHING ABOUT MY HYPERFIXATION TO RANT ABOUT!!! SO EXCITED DONT EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START
so yea obviously the lame anwer is "pokemon is for kids" and they cant show like death and stuff but that didnt stop them from showing lysandre getting absolutely DESTROYED by zygarde's core enforcer and either dying or maiming him. So like they done it before!!! and i get that more bad stuff happens to bad guys than good guys in fiction but there's clearly precedent for legendary pokemon killing/ maiming people.
Also side tangent i know the manga is different but in the manga his death is even more brutal, being impaled from the back by landing on sharp rocks and either bleeding to death (like literally blood is shown in the picture) or having his spinal cord shattered and making him paraplegic.
So there's TOTALLY precedent for severe injury/ death in pokemon, ESPECIALLY at the hands of legendarys. and infact another thing about the lysandre example is that he has am excuse for just not outright dying, leon doesn't. In X version when the ultimate weapon fires, lysandre is still trapped in the flare hideout and basically hit directly by the ultimate weapon. Because in X the weapon is powered Xerneas, instead of outright killing him you could argue it would make him immortal instead (much like it did with floette & az) so thats a reason he wouldnt outright die.
leon has no excuse like that. hes just a guy. and like yea i love him dont get me wrong but no amount of muscles shouldve made him practically unscathed. Unless he is quite literally built different and made out of like fucking titanium theres its weird that was fine.
I feel like theres a few ways they couldve handled it, and i dont personally think this was even the worst one, but they couldve had a better one for sure. To me at least the game's approach is a little better, where he at least has to take a *little* time to recover (but still not long enough considering the magnitude of the blast) and also i think it's sort of implied (at least if you read into it a little), that he may have been hospitalized for those 3 days and it was just offscreen.
I feel like that method couldve been improved if they maybe extended how long the time skip was, maybe to 3 weeks at least, and if they wanted to be more dramatic like 3 months, because even 3 days seems like far too little time to recover from something like that. 3 months might be a little long and i get why they might not wanted to push it back THAT far, but i definitely feel like 3 weeks is at least a nice middle ground between being a reasonable recovery time and not being TOO long of a time skip.
also i think another theory ive seen especially in fanworks like fics ive read is that the blast acts/should act more like radiation where it doesnt exactly cause a ton of visible injury immediately but can still be really destructive. I think this wouldve been a good thing too, seeing as eternatus' energy seems similar to some kind of radiation (like how power can be generated from it and how things can 'mutate'/ change size from it). It could be a good balance of not showing too much gore/violence on screen but still making it that he's not just completely fine. One way ive even seen this implemented in a fic is that when he's struck with the beam he becomes like possessed/afflicted by eternatus as almost a parasite/alien type thing where it becomes a psysichal (i just struggled for like 2 minutes to spell psyical sorry lol my dsylexic ass cant spell that word for the life of me) part of him.
If im being honest i dont really like the idea of killing him off entirely, but i think the best way to do it if they were to is to do that cliche anime fiction thing where when someone dies they get revived by something shortly after and while i do think its sort of cheesy, it couldve worked with the dogs like having the power to revive him or something like that? And they've done that before too with ash, so theyre not completely opposed to it it seems.
I dont like the idea of him dying (or, dying and staying dead) not only because i like him as a character and that would make me very sad but also because i feel like he's too important to overall story to just kill him off completely. Unless the story events were shuffled around or changed in some way him dying in that moment would be really anticlimatic for the championship battle and the other things around him. Also it raises questions about what would happen, do you just get handed the championship because you're the favorite to win? Does someone like raihan get the championship because he's the closest in power to him? does a previous champion come back? What about the rose/battle tower? What happens to that?
so yes, i agree that he definitely got off way too easy for the sheer force he endured, i personally think killing him off completely is a worse way of solving the problem. I think they shouldve either increased his recovery time/ longterm impact a lot more (like ive seen many fanfics do) or have him temporarily die/ go into a dead-like state but not stay dead, either through eventually recovering or possibly through pokemon magic.
thank you for coming to my pokemon ted talk
(follow me for more unhinged stuff)
Champion Frolic Fleece's Pokémon Theories Season1 Episode1: Waiter, There's A Dead Leon In My Soup!!!
Have a Pokémon Theory by yours truly, Champion Frolic. This episode: I ask the hard and real question on "How the heck is Leon not dead."
youtube
I seriously have no idea how Leon survived the events with Eternatus in either the anime or the game! HOW DID LEON SURVIVE?! EXPLAIN POKEMON COMPANY AND NINTENDO, EXPLAIN!
Please reblog this, so it gains traction! I am a struggling disabled autistic who is trying to make my way in life, and being able to do Youtube for a living would be a dream come true!
Also, I call Leon a himbo in this video affectionally, not in a bad way. I think he's smart in some areas but dumb in others. You can be smart in some ways but dumb in other ways. I'm not trying to insult him, it's just a term of endearment to me. I know Leon is very intelligent in many ways, but sometimes he does reckless and dumb things, like taking on Eternatus by himself, or jumping onto the back of a Corviknight in the anime, or driving like a maniac, etc.

Considering making a guide to Dynamax Adventure Hunts, specifically for legendaries since those are not just luck of the draw for encountering.
Any hunters who have sage advice for less talked about legendaries? I’m already aware of how piss easy Kartana can be and how Wide Guard is mandatory for Zygarde. I’m looking for interesting strats you’ve found that work.
For example: “Two of Rayquaza’s regular moves are multi-target (Brutal Swing and Twister) and so Wide Guard may be employed to alleviate unnecessary deaths. That point is compounded by Rayquaza’s high speed stat will mean that it gets the first jump on you and make quick work of your team, so packing heat with Talonflame’s Tailwind or staying cool and collected with a Trick Room from Jellicent may prove beneficial for your Ice Types to get the hits they need without crumbling.”
This document is something I hope to submit as a resource so if you wanna reblog this with constructive feedback and some tips that work, that world do wonders for research. I intend on including contributors to the best of my ability, and the resource will be available publicly when finished.
I’d like some help on the legends that do not have quad weaknesses. The Single-types and the dual types who are especially tough to crack like Kyuurem.
Currently the format for the document is:
Intro and FAQ
Single Types (Dex Order)
Dual Types (Dex Order)
Difficulty Tier List
Credits (Contributors, Writers, etc)
Please don’t give me cynical comments about how “DA is an awful method because of how high the chances are” or how “it’s so long, why would you hunt that way?!”
There are some Pokémon that were never caught by players because they didn’t have the game that holds them. It’s especially frustrating for those who avoided BDSP but loved the originals, or never got the chance to get 3DS virtual console games like GSC, or those who can’t migrate their Gen 4 mons to current day because of BW/B2W2’s silly transporter nonsense. Gen 5 games are surprisingly hard to come by as a result of that demand.
I know there are plenty of people who are more than willing to handle the long reset times, the difficulty with harder Legendaries, and the randomized items and Pokémon. That’s why I wanna make it— there’s a niche market for DA adventures and I want to figure out the best strats for everything and put it all together!

So, I did a fairly small retcon for Adam, related to my last post! He no longer has Moltres, and instead has his world's Zygarde.
The reason for this is simple; I really liked the idea of it being a way of displaying that as fucked up as Adam and his beliefs are, he genuinely believes them. He genuinely wants to maintain the ecosystem and build a better world - and so, despite abhoring his methods, his world's Zygarde allied with him.
This doesn't mean Adam was right to do what he did! Actually I think this adds a new layer of horror about just how genuine he is in his desire to make a better world.

So, a bit of discourse and discussion is occurring around Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in regards to the manner in which you catch Pokemon.
Some people want the Traditional "Battlr and Catch" Method and other want the "Throw a Pokeball" method from Legends: Arceus. It's gaining some traction and sparking some debates/arguments.
Now, I'm sure nobody cares about my opinion and I don't expect you to. But I will give my two cents.
I personally DO NOT want the Legends catching Mechanic to appear in Gen 9 or really, any other Gen Debut game.
Now before you start coming after me, let me explain:
I have no issue with it showing up in a later Legends game, cause something tells me there will be more.
You're still sharpening the pitchforks, aren't you?
Okay, hear me out.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus is getting good reviews, okay? People are saying lots of good things and they're already excited for the prospect of a "Pokemon Legends: Zygarde" and etc.
But...that's kind of my point.
Legends is proving itself as a Pokemon game for people who want something harder and more challenging. People have asked for something like this for a long time.
And I doubt Pokemon won't cash in on it.
But...if the games have the same mechanic from here on out...exactly what makes them special?
They won't be different or unique. They'll just be the same as the other Pokemon games.
So, I believe that Snipe Shots should stay in Legends and come back with those games instead.
Just my two cents.

i wonder if i count into this category of crazy. i breed a lot of eevee, but not for looks, and zygarde forbid not for sale.
//headcanon incoming, and oh dear i go crazy here (also sorry for a few contradicting statements. i usually try to avoid that but i thought it makes sense here?)
regardless, did you know that the butterfly sylveon as commonly defined is not actually color coded? this more purple color you're speaking of is only related to the same gene that is also responsible for the split bow. it's widely known that eevee have very unstable genes that is easily molded by element-infused infinity energy. when evolving into sylveon, the genes that are responsible for the eevee's fur and fur patterns get enriched with fairy type infinity energy, which causes the dna to practically fuse together in strange ways. this process is actually one of the least understood aspects of eevee evolution, but i try to make sense here.
this fusion is sometimes more extreme and sometimes less. a good indicator is the resemblance to usual eevee fur pattern in the sylveon. a sylveon with a large mane around its neck and dull coloration has more stable dna than one with vibrant colors and shorter fur. we can also notice a tendency in long and thin ribbons and the aforementioned split bows in sylveon with a "high fusion count" as we call it. a purple color is not uncommon but is somewhat random.
as fairy type energy is associated with emotions, particularly with those of connection and bonding, emotional manipulation can influence the outcome of the evolution more than the eevee's genes in some cases. so while these, i think "millers" is the common term, probably use this method you are describing to advance evolution at a faster speed, it is actually also a way to achieve the result they are looking for. provided they are doing it right.
the genes are not insignificant though. breeding sylveon with high fusion count with each other clearly impacts the offspring. an eevee where both parents lack certain genes due to fusion already exhibits certain traits the desired sylveon is supposed to show like shorter fur and sometimes a less distinguished mane. these eevee can even have trouble evolving into other forms than sylveon, particularly flareon and jolteon.
in short: sylveon patterns can be influenced by breeding but by the nature of the evolution, it is less impactful than the environment and relationships an eevee is experiencing. and in case someone has a butterfly-sylveon at home and is now worrying to having mistreated it: you are likely alright. this pattern can emerge without emotional manipulation as well. sometimes it can be very extreme.
[a picture is attached. A Sylveon is happily smiling at the camera and holding a paw up as if to greet. It's sitting on a blue carpet with star-pattern. It is peculiar looking though. The bow on its neck is split not just once, it is more looking like a six pointed star. it also has a bow on both ears, each split as well, looking not unlike the wings of a butterfly. it's ribbons are also quite unusual. It has three times the amount of a normal sylveon and they are incredibly thing, looking more like strings than actual ribbons. in addition, it's fur is a hot pink almost all over its body with just a few cream-white spots on its back and the tips of the ribbons.]
this cute specimen is asami. she was born from a pair of sylveon i had at the shelter some years back, and the vicinity to motu mana has amplified her fusion count. she was not mistreated.
🌳
There's no one on earth crazier than people who breed specific lines with eeveelutions.
For example: the Butterfly Sylveon line. They're more purple than the breed standard, and their bows look like butterfly wings.
A common sylveon "defect" is when their bow is split into two shapes rather than being whole.
So, the Butterfly line started with that defect and was ONLY bred with more purple hued sylveon and split-bow sylveon until they finally got the "perfect" one 😭
And to ENSURE to the best of their ability to get these traits, they can't breed them with other eeveelutions, ONLY other sylveon.
Any "special" line of eevee is an absolutely ludicrous process.

(Ask-TeamLightbringers) Gabriel @ Quill/Zygarde: A lot of life force being stolen? That sounds concerning. Does Zygarde have any leads on who or what stole all that life force?
The Zygarde's eyes narrow, and they huff. Seems like they do.
"Uh.... they know that we're after some grass type user, because of the, um... methods used. I'm... not sure how much I can say..? Just be careful around any shady grass types, I guess!!"
