Earth is in space and is really only remarkable, thus far, for having sentient life and being a rocky world close to its star. To say that Earth is the opposite/foil of space would be to say that a grain of sand is the opposite of all the different soils/dirts on the whole planet.
It's more like Danny's abilities are potentially endless in both application and number, while Vlad's are finite. Vlad figures out every possible use for his powers (depth) while Danny is doing well to know what his powers are (breadth). In that way, I suppose "Earth" core Vlad works, but that's getting pretty abstract for the hard magic system of ghost cores.
I've been trying to figure out a way to justify Danny having an ice core cause I have no idea what the writers were getting at with that whole plotline and I thought, maybe a ghost's core reflects how they felt when they died? Danny died extremely young and probably with a bunch of regret for letting Sam convince him to go into the portal right? So he died feeling pretty sad and regretful and to me, that feels like emotions that can reasonably connect with ice. Another thing is the popular headcanon that Vlad has some type of heat core. He died with what I assume is anger and some jealousy (not as much as he has in the show but I'd be pretty jealous if my crush was really close to my best friend) and anger and jealousy are usually associated with fire and heat. Idk this is the closest I've ever gotten to a logical explanation for the reason Danny has an ice core 😭

But have you ever considered hiding Dash in the background of your fanart and just making his shoulders slightly wider in every piece just to see how long it takes for people to notice?
I’ve been loving your art style of the characters but pls don’t erase Valerie’s body size
And it's tactless comments like this that almost made me stop drawing Valerie altogether. First it was a problem with the skin tone I used to play it safe to avoid offending someone, which I literally copied exactly from screenshots of the show:
Tumblr media
Then it was how I draw Valerie's body shape, which mind you changes CONSTANTLY in the show. So at the end of the day, you draw her how you want to and I'll draw her how I want to. And if you don't like it, don't look at it anymore. Because if this starts happening again where I'm getting rude backhanded comments like this one I WILL stop posting my Valerie fanart in public-

The show never says that he has an ice core, it says "Your core radiates an intense cool," and then Frostbite proceeds to help him get his powers under control. Frostbite also says he can help Danny with his ice powers, but doesn't say that's all Danny has.
That's why I like Space Core Danny: space is very cold (almost absolute zero), it has gas clouds (nebulae), it has heat (stars), it has ice (comets), etc. In fact, you can take a great many of Danny's more advanced powers and correlate them to astrophysical phenomena. There's even a moment in the show where he's getting swarmed, and he proceeds to create a ball of ectoplasm in his arms and then let it go supernova to knock back his foes.
I'm telling you, Space Core Danny makes way more sense than Ice Core Danny.
Vlad's just a foil for Danny. Danny is young, Vlad's old; Danny trusts and loves his friends, Vlad hates his; Danny constantly manifests new powers, Vlad has essentially the same power set the whole show; Danny is middle class, Vlad is rich; Danny is a hero, Vlad's a villain; selfless, selfish; dog, cat; etc.

I mean, that is likely to happen. It's also just as likely for her to figure out a workaround or a way to essentially become a warlock and use Danny's power to perform magic.
I operate on the belief that a sufficiently powerful ghost isn't distinguishable from minor/major deity, which means a magic user could, if Danny doesn't stop them, find a way to use the power (in his essence/ectoplasm) for their own gain essentially leading a major crisis where Danny has to go reclaim all his blood before the entire legion of newly minted warlocks drain him dry (or, for humor, he never realizes it's happening because he's absurdly powerful leading to a completely different set of issues).
DC x DP, but it's just Tucker and Danny on a get rich quick scheme.
Tucker, having realized that Danny can basically spontaneously manifest powers and that Ectoplasm and magic interfere with each other, convinces Danny to let Tucker be his "agent" and they set off around the country to disprove magicians like John Constantine, Zatara, Zatana, and Doctor Fate (Tucker gets to pull out the Ghostly Egyptian Scepter to cancel Fate's Ankhly powers).
First, they storm Zatana's shows to have her prove it's not all an illusion. Danny, clearly a perfectly normal human, asks Zatana to pick him up with her magic if she's so powerful. She can't. She tries to do other tricks, but with Danny actively blocking her, she can't.
How does this get Tucker and Danny rich? After "disproving" magic, Tucker unveils his 100% not ghostly magic repelling amulets ("Psych! Magic is real, we just brought our handy-dandy Foley Magic Blockers on stage!"), which are just regular necklaces that Danny bled on. That won't come back to bite them at all.

Honestly, Superman would stink less because it's hard for anything to actually kill him, so the amount of brushes with death would be smaller than Batman who has a brush with death every time he rolls out of the way of gun fire. Superman would stink like Brainiac, but Batman would be the big smelly man in Gotham. "STINKING FURRIES!"
Wonder Woman is an interesting thought experiment because she lived on Paradise Island for most of her life, and is it a brush with death if you shoot at somebody who can block bullets or is it only a brush with death if they come close to dying? By the former definition, sure, every hero is super stinky. By the latter definition, Batman or one of his brood are the big stink.
Oddly enough, Darkseid would probably be the only DC character that wouldn't stink because he's basically never in danger of dying. Maybe The Question because he tends to stay in the shadows, but even then, he'd still stink.
YOU GUYS STINK!

(Danny 0.3 seconds away before smelling the Heroes he just met.)
So I've been pondering about how ghost have the ability to sense one another out when close enough, but now I've been thinking of something for the living. Fanon has something like this in a few fics, making it how Danny can tell who the Leaguers are in/out of costume by calling it Death Touched.
I offer: The Stench of Death.
When a person comes close to a deadly encounter, the event becomes a smell is akin to the near experience. Say if someone survived a fire? The smell would be close to burning the materials being burnt and the smoke for example.
Think like food and how you can smell all the things that go into the dish.
The more you get into deadly situations, the more smells you can pick up on as well as getting stronger. Ghosts can sense the Touch of Death on the living, but not the Stench. Danny, who is a Half alive, can. If he focuses hard enough, he can pick up the scent and sniff people out like a bloodhound.
Now take the Justice League and all their branches/allies, organizations who fight to stop bag guys and world-ending events every couple of months...their smell is prominent enough for Danny to easily pick it up.
Now enter one Daniel Nightingale who has left Amity for [reason] and in [Hero's City], trying to keep a low profile because heroes exist now, he's retired now after sorting out the business between the ghostly and living worlds, and wants to have as close to a normal life as he possibly can before taking the throne.
But one day, he stops a known rouge that would've caused some serious harm to the populace if someone didn't stop them, gaining their attention. They try to get information on Danny, but there's nothing out of the ordinary on his file, so they decided to do the next best thing; watch him.
The young man is very guarded and observing his surroundings often, so the idea of him being a new meta struggling to handle his newly awakened powers or a new alien on Earth are possible theories.
The only problem is that, when they get they close, he tends to leave the area and head home. It's like this for a while until they realize they haven't seen him in some time now and find out he packed up his things and moved to another town...a different city a Leaguer call their hometurf, so they notify that hero of Danny's presence and the cycle repeats itself a few times before Danny is getting tracked by multiple Leauge members.
The latest Leaguer is trying to keep an eye on Danny without spooking him until Danny gets the jump on them and calls them by their civilian name while peltong them with hygiene products.

That's how Stephen King ended up writing The Dark Tower. It was his "I have writer's block, so I will dabble over here" story.
I need a word to describe having writers block, but also having adhd brain and continuing to write but, y’know, THE WRONG STORIES 😭

"Have fun on your murder trip, sweetie!" Maddie called after Slade's departing back.
Slade froze, how did she know? "Uh..."
"Yeah!" Jack cheered, "Make sure you get 'em good! We don't want their ghost coming back to getcha!"
Slade turned to stare at his weird, pseudo parents... who weren't old enough to be his parents, "How do you suggest I kill a *ghost*?"
Jack's pupils dilated, Maddie's legs coiled, and before Slade could make a break for the door, he found himself being excitedly, forcefully escorted into a room filled with the equipment the Fenton parents had been hoarding. Before he had time to process the incredible mess that was the lab, Jack manifested a bazooka the size of his wife from seemingly nowhere, "Now, you're gonna want to nail 'em riiight between the eyes..."
Respawn had no idea who this guy was. He had woken up on the forest floor somewhere after a fight with Robin that had admittedly ended poorly for both of them.
All his wounds were bandaged and looked after. He wasn't even in pain! A rare luxury indeed. Looking over he saw a guy around his own age cooking some fish over an open flame. The other teen, as if feeling eyes on him, turned toward Respawn and smiled.
"I hope you like green onions." He said, motioning towards the plate stacked high with the vegetable, "They're the only edible thing I could find."
The day dragged on with the guy-Danny- playing nursemaid and insisting to take care of Respawn as he recovered, even going so far as to cut his food for him. Hes pretty sure Danny would have fed him himself if he had struggled anymore with handling the stick the fish was on.
Blessedly his enhanced healing factor ensured that he wasn't down for too long and he could take care of himself. He couldn't bring himself to be annoyed with Danny though. He was actually rather grateful.
When Respawn asked why Danny was out here in the wilderness he sheepishly told him about how his mad scientist parents had made a portal to another dimension and had tried to create a portal gun for portable access to said dimension. They were showing it to him, his sister and his two friends when something went wrong and the gun went off, sucking them all into the new portal. He woke up in the forest alone.
Looking back on thier past conversations, Repawn decided that it made sense. It would explain why Danny didn't know what a meta human was or that they had rights protecting them. Danny had been so excited when he had told him and immediately began using his unholy number of powers to help them survive in the wild.
Aka Danny, Jazz, Maddie, Jack, Sam, and Tucker are all thrown into the DC universe and all of them have been separated and are worried sick about the others and trying to find them

I head canon that Danny was at least a little depressed from constantly being a disappointment to his parents (according to episode summaries, his grades were average before they started slipping) and being bullied by Dash and the A-Listers, so he went into an invention he *knew* wouldn't work because he couldn't bring himself to care about the .01% chance of it working.
His best friend was a comic book nerd, Danny was a space nerd, so there's no way he didn't enjoy having super powers and think it was awesome despite the pain he went through to get it. He could have chosen to stay in class instead of fighting ghosts. At the very least, we know Maddie was a competent ghost hunter, so it really was an option for him. He chose to do something he enjoyed more and helped him feel fulfilled.
Arguably, by becoming a ghost, he gave his parents their ideal child. They already obsessed over ghosts, and they wanted their kids to be ghost hunters like them; technically, Danny finally became everything he needed to be to get his parents' attention (any attention is better than no attention). *And they supported it by accepting him every time they found out.*
If anything, I suspect Danny was excited to get the chance to die again once he thought it would work. Imagine reading comic books with your best friend after school every day and dreaming of a world where you're not just some loser at school, and then somebody comes up to you and tells you that you can have it; you can be Superman, but you have to die--temporarily--first. Would you take the offer? I think a fourteen year old getting beaten viciously at school, who feels like a disappointment to his family, and has just one friend in the world would take the offer. To his mind, what does he have left to lose?
Do you think Danny ever resents Sam for basically giving him a second chance at a normal life and then ripping it away when she tricked him into half-killing himself again to undo her mistake?

Eh, terrorism charges require intent to intimidate or coerce the public or government, and the Fentons don't appear to set out to intimidate people into doing anything. I'd love to say they're menacing, but it also requires intent.
Now, if you take into account the fact that the US Constitution doesn't ever specify that people cease being citizens of the United States after death, and interpret the 14th Amendment to extend equal protection under the law to ghosts, then you could make a case for terrorism against American ghosts.
Ya know, Danny’s death could well be considered Manslaughter on the part of his parents. Manslaughter in Illinois is defined as either:
-The defendant knew or should have reasonably known that his actions could have lead to the death of the other party;
-The defendant's actions showed an apparent disregard for human life or were intrinsically dangerous; and
-The defendant's actions or failure of duty were the direct cause of the other party's death
The Fentons asked their 14-year-old to clean a lab full of hazardous and dangerous material without the proper equipment or training. The average person would therefore expect that Danny would somehow be harmed or even killed. They failed their duty as his legal guardians AND operated in a way that was intrinsically dangerous. By any definition, this was Manslaughter. Unfortunately, the maximum sentence for the crime of manslaughter is about 3-5 years. That said, because Danny is a minor and this is therefore also child endangerment, the charge could be upgraded to a class two felony with a maximum sentence of 7 years or 14 for an extended term. This would also invove a legal fee, a period of supervision for up to two years, and an investigation by CPS (who would ABSOLUTELY take Jazz and Danny away)

I mean, in Bitter Reunions, their unsecured weapons built into the GAV (also illegal, btw) burn the top off a tree, burn a dude, and blast a hole in the ground. That's criminal negligence, reckless endangerment, assault, and probably destruction of public property.
Disturbing the peace is an obvious one. Speeding, reckless endangerment, operating a large vehicle without a class 2 license (GAV is a modified RV), manufacture of a weapon of mass destruction (ghost evaporating satellite from livin' large, which also violates international treaties that ban weapons in space), probably unlicensed possession of firearms (although they might be licensed since they're manufacturers), destruction of public property, hit and run accidents, breaking and entering (Sam's house in Forever Phantom), trespassing, etc.

Danny Fenton got burned in the Fenton Portal, but the portal also stopped him from having any visible injuries by reanimating his dead cells. He still hates toast, though. After seeing burnt toast and not being able to think of anything but being stuck, frying in the portal, Danny can't eat toast.
Sam Manson heard her friend screaming in pain inside the portal, she smelled his skin as it melted, and after that, she couldn't look at cooked meat anymore. Sam became the most radical version of "Non-meat eater" she could find.
Tucker Foley smelled his best friend burning; he smelled the human meat cooking, and it made him *hungry*. Tucker won't--can't--stop eating meat, but it's getting to not be enough. Every time he sees Danny, all he can think about is how good he smelled when he died. It's not cannibalism if he's a ghost, right?

They were all, for whatever reason, at an amusement park with a mine themed ride, and Danny loudly complained that the ride wasn't even that freaky, Billy agreed, and Bernard wished he could see a ride that would freak them out. Desiree heard him and granted his wish. Billy and Danny do have their powers, but as per "keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times" they can't leave the ride, nor can they stop it.
A portal opens in the Wayne manor and Danny Fenton, Billy Batson and Bernard Dowd are launched across the mansions foyer in a mine cart, screaming for a few seconds before another portal opens up across the room and they zoom in. Destruction is left in thier wake.
The batkids are left trying to convince Bruce it really wasn't them this time.
Dont ask me how those three got stuck together or whats going on. I do not know. Appearently none of them have powers right now and can't escape thier wild portal based rollercoster ride. Where all are they launched through? Who all tries to stop the runaway minecart from hell? How did they meet in the first place?!

I've got a crossover for you nuts to try.
Y'all keep wanting to address the Anti-Ecto Control Act and the GiW via the Justice League or the Avengers or some other group. I challenge somebody to write a good DP x The West Wing fic dealing with the AECA. It can be DP X DC X TWW for all I care. Jed Bartlett vs. former President Lex Luthor is a showdown I'd pay to see.
I know you're supposed to write the content you want to see in the world, but I'm not arrogant enough to think I can mimic Aaron Sorkin's writing at all. I'm sure somebody else would love to give it a shot, though.
