A Mental Health client wanted calming scenes for the home page of their app. The images had to be able to loop continuously and change based on if the user was in light mode or dark mode. These are some of the options I came up with. In the end the client preferred the African savannah option the most, but stripped it back to work for both light and dark mode. It was really fun to work on these, while trying to figure out what the animations would be like.

Here's a closer look at some of the planning I did for the Vidora's Silence key art. 1. Started with the logo design. I knew I wanted to design something that would stretch the composition, like the trains in the game stretch across the surface of the planet. I really liked the outcome, but finished it off with a blur and chromatic aberration. 2. Did 4 quick thumbnails for the client as ideas and they really liked the idea of the reflected explosion. 3. The train design was an interesting challenge, as the real vehicles hadn't been designed fully. You only see the train in reflection so I could get away with just a simple design. I planned out simple side and front views of the train and designed the explosion accordingly 4. In the end I had to create a bunch of capsule images for steam

I had the opportunity to work on key art for an upcoming game called Vidora's Silence. The game is available to Wishlist on Steam

I recently took another swing at this illustration I did of Lamentis-1 from Loki Season 1. I wanted to focus on adding a lot more detail with line art and refining everything with a more graphic style. Here's the old one for reference :)

I'm a huge fan of the Alien movies, and Alien: Covenant has some truly breathtaking scenes. One of my favourites is when the crew lands on Planet 4, and the clouds in the atmosphere add so much depth and dimension to the planet. I was inspired to capture that moment in this drawing. ✨🖤

A drawing inspired by one of my favourite films (and book series), Annihilation. The atmosphere and creep factor was really well-done in the pool scene. I had a lot of fun faffing over the details and working on different ways to convey the textures. I've been pretty bad at keeping up with my drawing and, let's be real, posting about it too. It’s been literal years since I last posted on Tumblr, but I’ve been busy working on a lot of stuff behind the scenes. I’m finally feeling ready to share some of it 🙌

Chloe's Book-Pack Prop Design 📚🔎

A couple months ago I signed up for @caiorfmartins 'Character Design for Animation' course on Domestika • This is the final prop design for Chloe’s book-pack. It’s a compendium of all her findings on her adventures. It has convenient little holders for her notebook, tweezers and her trusty magnifying glass.

Chloe - A Character Design Project 📝

A couple months ago I signed up for @caiorfmartins 'Character Design for Animation' course on Domestika.

The brief was to create a character for a fictional cartoon series that takes place in a fantasy world full of creatures, where magic and technology meet.

Chloe is a 12 y/o human girl who wants to be a scientist like her dad. She is fascinated by the creatures that inhabit the world. As she adventures around the outskirts of the city, she records interesting things that she finds in her book-pack.

LAMENTIS-1 🪐

Marvel is pulling out all the stops with Loki and I'm loving it 🤩 This is a color study I made after watching last week’s episode. I thought the whole concept of a breaking planet, and the sense of urgency that created, was just pure genius.
