🎧 Bones and All 🦴🦴 The main themes of Bones and All are horror, romance, and cannibalism – all set in the 80s. Considering one of these themes, this movie may not be of your…taste. Let’s start with the plus points. The movie had a strong atmosphere, beautiful cinematography, and intense acting by the lead. Taylor Russell, as Maren, gave us a great performance, portraying the complexities of her identity, self-awareness, and even her guilt regarding the type of “monster” she has been born as. After her father abandons her, Maren sets out on her own journey across the country to learn more about her past and herself. Along the way she meets a couple of others like her, and a romance develops between her and Lee (Timothée Chalamet), who is an “Eater” like she is, but more embracing and accepting about the whole natural-born-cannibal situation than she is. The first part of the movie made me feel like it was off to a great start. The movie is 2 hours long, which was enough time to flesh out a lot of elements. I did not feel like they really worked or developed on the opposing moral views that Maren and Lee had, and I would’ve liked to see how this clash got to the certain point it did, in the movie. The romance felt very random and rushed, and I did not feel like there was much chemistry between Taylor and Timothee. It felt very bland and damp. Mark Rylance’s terrifying and freaky performance was probably one of the best things about this movie, and I found it disappointing that his motivations were not remotely hinted or explained. While I liked the consistent eerie vibe the movie had, the intensity of the film had started to fizzle out and felt like it was dragging. The pacing of the movie felt off to me. The script and the story could have been crafted a lot better, given the controversial premise it had. Bones and All is a visually appealing film with good performances but lacks in almost every other aspect. The story of the movie has made me curious enough to try out the book to see if it lacked as much substance as its movie counterpart did. #timotheechalamet #taylorrussell #markrylance #bonesandall #movie #movies #horror #thriller #haunting #drama https://www.instagram.com/p/CnXrhagNiY2/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

🔍 Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery 🌰 From the first part of the movie, I completely expected Glass Onion to be about the killed or soon-to-be killed tech billionaire inviting his "friends", and Benoit Blanc, to his island to find the culprit of his literal murder. I assumed that would be the murder mystery here. Of course, later, we find out that the murder to solve was of someone else. While characters and the dialogues were fun, this movie was not as intriguing or compelling as the first movie. It seemed more drama-centric than mystery. We had a stellar cast, but somehow, despite the 2+ hours runtime, I feel like this movie did not allow all of them to portray their roles as well as I know they could have. Daniel Craig and Janelle Monae shone in their respective roles. Edward Norton did very well, too. The movie picks up after the first hour and then slightly falls short at the ending, which felt very anti-climactic for me. Glass Onion was entertaining but not as amazing as the first movie. It's a fun watch overall. #glassonion #glassonionaknivesoutmystery #knivesout #netflixoriginal #netflixmovies #netflix #mystery #crime #movie #danielcraig #madelyncline #katehudson #edwardnorton #kathrynhahn #janellemonae #davebautista #leslieodomjr #angelalansbury #hughgrant #serenawilliams #pandemic #amongus #murdermystery #clue https://www.instagram.com/p/CnNTX1TNgKt/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

🥡 The Patient 🕎 When I heard of The Patient: a psychotherapist (Steve Carell) is kidnapped and trapped in the basement of one of his patients, who reveals himself as a serial killer and needs help – I saved this show by PATIENTLY waiting for all the episodes to be released so I could watch them in one go, and I am seriously glad I did. Every episode ends in a crazy cliffhanger, and had I been watching this on a weekly basis, I’m pretty sure I would not have been PATIENT enough (I’ll stop with the patient jokes now). Steve Carell is widely known for his comedic roles – but he has portrayed darker, serious characters in movies such as Little Miss Sunshine and Beautiful Boy. I had no doubt that Steve would be able to pull off the complex, complicated role of Dr. Alan Strauss. After finishing The Patient, I can easily say that this has been Carell’s best dramatic performance yet – I expect him to get nominated for the awards. Domhnall Gleeson’s portrayal of Sam the killer was nothing short of extraordinary, either. The acting, performances, writing, and screenplay of The Patient were top-tier. One wonderful aspect of the show is that none of the supporting characters felt like they were added for effect – each character had something important to contribute to the story. The Patient is an emotional miniseries with themes of trauma, family, religion, and forgiveness. This next part may be a spoiler to you, even if I keep it vague. I suggest that if you’re considering watching the show, please don’t read this next bit. The ending broke my heart. Initially, I expected the series to end this way, but I guess I started feeling otherwise throughout the other episodes. While the ending was not conventionally satisfying, it was realistic. There is a moment at the end where the viewer thinks the ending would be "otherwise," but the startling twist in that sequence leading to the actual ending was gut-wrenching and well-displayed. Please give this a show a try and let me know what you think. #thepatient #fx #hulu #stevecarell #domhnallgleeson #fxonhulu #series #thriller #thrillerseries #tv #tvshow #serial #serialkiller #psychologicalthriller @thepatientfx @hulu https://www.instagram.com/p/CnFju01t6kO/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

🤚 Wednesday 🎻 I felt very excited when they announced the release of Wednesay: as kids my brother and I used to watch the Addams Family cartoon on a regular basis (the theme with the snaps has lived in my head rent-free all these years). I considered the early 90s movies a classic, too. While the Addams family was a passive and somewhat forgotten part of my childhood – the nostalgia hit hard once Wednesday was announced – and Burton directing it was the cherry on top. Watching the show, it is fairly obvious that it does not try to be the OG movies/show. It's meant to be a standalone. Thanks to Burton, the show had a subtle gothic horror atmosphere going consistently. Jenna Ortega encapsulated Wednesday so well – she single-handedly carried the show with her delivery and performance. If the Wednesday lead was not as excellent as Jenna was, the slight plot and character related flaws would have been a lot more obvious. The plot was alright, and it's painfully obvious that most of the characters were not fully fleshed out at all. I loved that the OG Wednesday, Christina Ricci (Ricci’s Wednesday still has the best lines) played a role in the show, loved Gwendoline Christie (always) as Principal Weems. Catherine Zeta-Jones’ interpretation of Morticia was illustrious and perfect. I expected Pugsley to be different from what we got, but maybe we will get to see more development in future seasons. I was okay with Luis Guzman as Gomez, and I am unsure of what to think about Uncle Fester at the moment – I think I need to see more of him. I try not to compare Wednesday with the other AF adaptations but the family dynamic and chemistry between all of the members (not just Wednesday with her family) is a lot stronger than what I witnessed in Wednesday. The dark humour was also not as strong as the other adaptations. Overall, I liked the show and enjoyed it. I hope we get to see Cousin It next season! 🍅🥪 The Bear 🐻 In my opinion, The Bear is one of the best shows of 2022. I solely picked up this show for Jeremy Allen White (his performance in Shameless is outstanding), and I stayed for the brilliant story and the rest of the cast and their well-knit, strong dynamic and acting. I did not expect to witness a masterpiece when I started this show. The casting, direction, writing, and especially the camera-angle work are just brilliant. Thanks to the direction, pacing, and camerawork, the viewer is easily made to feel the tension and suffocation that the characters are feeling in the kitchen (and in their personal lives). The chemistry between each member of the cast is commendable and one of the strongest points of the show. The characters dealing with issues such as loss, grief, addiction, trauma, depression – paired with elements of dark humor in a turbulent kitchen workplace setting, while maintaining the tense, serious atmosphere of the show – is as unique as it gets for me. As mentioned before, the incredible and fast pacing of the show with high-tension drama will definitely make you a little anxious and uncomfortable. There’s virtually nothing to fault with this phenomenal show. I expect The Bear to butt heads with other top drama shows in next year’s Emmys. This show is pure emotional chaos. That’s how I can conclude this review. #thebearfx @thebearfx @fxnetworks #thebear #jeremyallenwhite #ayoedebiri #ebonmossbachrach #jonbernthal @jeremyallenwhitefinally @ayoedebiri #mollyringwald #joelmchale #letitrip #series #bestshowever #kitchen #chef #yeschef https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm7PjthNhGz/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Happy New Year!! ✨️ I am a little late to the party, I know. I hope that the new year brings us all inner peace, healing, strength, and joy. Not exactly a very classy firework pic, but I liked how the moon looked last night (quite full of itself - you see what I mean). More than the picture, I also tried to capture and save the feelings I was having at this point. Hope, and how I was bracing myself at that moment and wondering how on Earth this year managed to pass by the way it did. Yumicasts also recently hit 100 followers, and I thank each of you for following, discussing, and sharing my stuff. I will always remember immense support I received when I started this out. I look forward to what 2023 has in store for all of us. May it truly be a good year for everyone and a much better year for those who need it. #happynewyear #thanksS,R,H,CGO #2023 https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm3y-XJNMNv/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

🌊 Avatar: The Way of Water 🌌 Like its predecessor, Avatar: The Way of Water is made for a magical, cinematic experience. The visuals were simply fantastic, stunning, and breathtaking. I was initially very skeptical about the 3+ hours runtime, but the pacing was very well done. The action sequences hit where and when they’re meant to, and some of the sequences were reminiscent to Cameron’s Titanic. I did not feel like the runtime was too long, nor did I feel bored during any scene while watching it. There was enough time to flesh out the characters and the story properly. Solid attention is given to character development as well as towards the new characters’ formation and development. While the storyline/plot may seem too basic to some, which is something that could be said for the first part too - it is carried out beautifully and consistently, in my opinion. The world-building - just like the visuals – is insane. If you take the movie for its simple plot with its heavy themes of love and family, you will definitely enjoy it. Experiencing this movie was a visual treat; and it was a wonderful, emotional, action-packed ride that had me gasping at a couple of scenes and obviously, had me making lots of ‘blue’ puns (green puns too; you’ll get what I mean if you’ve watched this film). Avatar: The way of Water is a worthy sequel, and I look forward to the next Avatar film. Hopefully, this one won’t take over a decade to release. #avatar #avatarthewayofwater #jamescameron #samworthington #zoesaldana #sigourneyweaver #pandora #jake #neytiri #avataredit #scifi #movie #movies #trending #avatarmovie #avatar2 #film #explore #explorepage #follow https://www.instagram.com/p/CmZoMdTtIEp/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

💜💜 Purple Hearts 💜💜 I was in the mood for a cheesy romantic film so I picked up Netflix's Purple Hearts (finally). It wasn't that bad but it wasn't amazing either, imo. There was the whole enemy-to-lovers element going on along with a couple of other tropes. I'm completely okay with clichés/tropes if they're used well. One of my complaints is that the overall character development between the two leads felt muted and rushed. It was clearly evident that the two leads clashed and had very opposing, different values and perspectives - I would've liked to have seen how they managed to work through that and fall in love rather than just the whole sudden and unexplained change-of-heart thing that occurred. The acting was decent, and while the chemistry between the two seemed natural at times, other times it felt very forced and uncomfortable to watch. xD There were some emotional scenes sprinkled in between, some ongoing issues were discussed, and I genuinely really did not care for the whole drug dealer element thrown in. That was the most annoying bit for me. All in all, Purple Hearts is a random film you can pick for a light watch and it's alright overall (if you don't look into the political aspects of it). It definitely fits the brief as a Romance film. I'd love to hear your thoughts - what did you think and what rating would you give Purple Hearts? #purplehearts #netflix #netflixmovies #romance #romantic #sofiacarson #nicholasgalitzine #cassiesalazar #lukemorrow #romanticmovie #netflixoriginal https://www.instagram.com/p/CkeGvICNsNn/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

🌲🌲🏚 The Cabin in the Woods 🏚 🌲🌲 Spooktober comes to end with a great movie! The Cabin in the Woods is easily one of my top horror movies released in the last decade. The funny thing is, I had not remotely entertained the thought of watching the trailer or even the movie for quite a long time because I assumed it was one of those clichéd, typical horror movies about people in a spooky cabin in the woods getting attacked one by one. After a lot recommendations and insistence, I started watching it. I immediately regretted not watching it sooner and it was an even better experience for me since I went into the movie completely blind. This movie is a close to perfect definition of horror-comedy. There's a lot of satire, great comedic timing and excellent scenes. The cliché I mentioned earlier? This movie actually parodied that trope (and other horror movie tropes!) and I enjoyed this thoroughly. I don't want to give a lot more away - but it ends up becoming unpredictable later on and I did not see the plot twist coming AT ALL. TCITW is unique, and the production, acting and overall quality of the film were outstanding to me. A horror-comedy masterpiece. You can't miss out on this movie if you are a fan of this genre. Movies like TCITW are rare to come across. 🐉 House of the Dragon 🐉 Do I really need to even say anything about HoTD, given the immense hype surrounding it? The show is off a strong start. HoTD has a roster of strong, powerful actors who each gave an amazing performance. Special shout-out to Milly Alcock, Matt Smith, Emma D'arcy, and Paddy Considine. Pairing exceptional performances with top-tier cinematography and production (except for the one DARK episode that we all know of), breath-taking visuals and decent story-telling, HoTD has made for an interesting watch every week. While the pacing of sequences seems intense, the story is somehow slow and sped up at the same time - we have constant time jumps that kept changing things up. I personally wished for a lot more interactive scenes between certain characters before the major time-jump (and two female leads switch) happened, or even right after. The character developments were solid for the main cast but I am hoping that we get to see the secondary characters and their motivations in more depth in the next season. I especially loved the motherhood/birthing representation through different characters in Season 1. While the finale was exciting, I personally wished for a more climactic finale. Now we wait two years for the next season, I guess. Memorable scenes for me (spoiler-alert): -Laena's final scene with Vhagar. -King Viserys' walk to the Throne, we all know which one I am referring to. -Alicent and Rhaenyra's face off after Aemond claims Vhagar. -When Rhaenys had the chance to Dracarys the whole Green lot but didn't. -Rhaenyra's expression of 'This means war' at the very end. P.S. Huge shout-out to @chatonscosplays for sending me SOLID memes of this show every week and making my days. This made the show hella more fun to watch! 🤣💯 #houseofthedragon #hotd #millyalcock #emmadarcy #mattsmith #paddyconsidine #oliviacooke #emilycarey #fabienfrankel #daemon #rhaenyratargaryen #viserystargaryen #cristoncole #crispin #aemondtargaryen #dragon #hbo #hbomax #trending #show #series #gameofthrones #got #fireandblood #asongoficeandfire #ramindjawadi https://www.instagram.com/p/CkOrn7UNNIY/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

🟨 Black Adam (Spoiler-free review) ⚡️⚡️ I'm going to be honest, ever since Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and Whedon's Justice League and a couple of other films - I have had serious trust issues with DCEU films. I walked in to Black Adam expecting a complete disaster - but it ended up being way better than I expected. Pierce Brosnan was phenomenal as Dr. Fate! I need a solo Dr. Fate movie ASAP. Pierce stole every scene he was in, and I was basically fan-girling throughout the movie - the effects, his suit, the fight sequences were perfect. Aldis Hodge shone as Hawkman as well. I wasn't underwhelmed or disappointed with any of the major characters portrayals - I will withhold the minor reservations I had with Atom Smasher and Cyclone until I hopefully see more of them in future projects. I loved that Henry Winkler (from Barry and Parks & Rec.) was the Uncle Atom Smasher - it was a pleasant surprise. Black Adam was an explosive (literally) action-packed film with some comedy thrown in (which did not feel forced or overdone, in my opinion). Dwayne Johnson's stoic portrayal of the anti-hero was consistent and decent. The movie has paved the way to hopefully solidifying that DC movies are finally going towards an upwards streak now. The mid-credits scene had me screaming despite The Rock spoiling it for me literally one week before the movie release. I am excited and looking forward to even better DC films now. The Batman was the best superhero film release this year so far, and Black Adam was better than a lot of the other hero films I've seen this year. P.S. If I look at this movie as more than the action-packed ride it was meant to be and focus on its flaws, I'd still not go any lower than a 7.5. Its not a masterpiece but it was an enjoyable experience. The disparity between the RT critic score and audience score is seriously appalling. #blackadam #therock #dwaynejohnson #piercebrosnan #drfate #kentnelson #noahcentineo #atomsmasher #dc #dceu #dccomics #superman #henrycavill #justiceleague #jsa #amandawaller #aldishodge #hawkwman #henrywinkler @therock @piercebrosnanofficial @ncentineo @violadavis https://www.instagram.com/p/CkHDsw1tRai/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

📚 The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides 📚 The Silent Patient is a worthy read as a psychological thriller. Its about a criminal psychologist who is assigned to a patient who was institutionalized for shooting her husband five times and has refused to say a single word since. Alex's writing style, pacing, layering, connections and plot complexity had me hooked. I could not figure out what the actual truth was or who to rely on, and every time I made a theory - it was disproved constantly. The author kept adding other "hints" or reveals that kept altering my thought process. I've read and watched a fair amount of mystery thrillers but I could not even come close to the final twist - I did not see that coming at all! Reading the book was an entirely gripping experience and it almost had me clutching my heart in the last couple of chapters. What is it about engaging psychological thrillers and me? To be fair books of any genre that end up being page-turners will make me disrupt my already messy sleep schedule. 😌 The Silent Patient had me hanging on to read within the hours of the same night I started reading it. Did I need extra coffee the next morning? Yes, plus, extra caffeine isn't a bad thing. At this point of my life where there's comparatively less energy and time now (thanks, adulting) - I really crave these rare, quiet late nights of binge-reading magnetic books. #thesilentpatient #alexmichaelides #horror #thriller #scary #spookyseason #halloween #bookreview #bookrecommendation #books #horrorbooks #books #bookrecommendations #bookreview #bookobsessed #bookworm #bookaddict #bookblogger #bookgram #bookholic #bookcommunity #booklovers #psychologicalthriller #thrillerbooks #goodreads https://www.instagram.com/p/Cj_LTT3tUuo/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

🧠 Mindhunter 🔍 From the man who has worked on the Zodiac movie, Seven, Fight Club, Gone Girl, House of Cards, Love Death & Robots and many more excellent titles - here's Mindhunter. If you like David Fincher's work and are a true crime, psychological thriller enthusiast, this is the show for you. The first couple of episodes are slow, but that slow burn element pays off extremely well in the following episodes. The show's main theme is to analyze and have discussions with serial killers to obtain an idea on the criminal psyche. The casting for the criminals is eerily similar to their real-life counterparts, all of the chosen actors played their roles superbly and channelled their respective counterpart's exact expressions and mannerisms. Jonathan Groff's Holden and Holt McCallany's Bill had a great dynamic between themselves and the other characters, and Cameron's Ed Kemper will stay in my mind for a while - he was that good. I especially applaud this show for keeping up intensity on the given subject matter by not being outright gory, but by focusing on excellent scene direction, performance, dialogues, and the back and forth between the criminals and the agents. The way this show manages to stay dark, unsettling and chilling while using those aforementioned aspects is a prime example for why we don't really need any grotesque display of graphic violent scenes to portray how horrific or gruesome the killers and their acts were. I am NEVER in favour of any graphic crime acts for television when those acts are based on real events and actual people. This was a major reason why I couldn't bring myself to review or rate the new Dahmer show - there's a limit and the Dahmer show exceeds it horribly, in my opinion. Mindhunter was a quality show, and I will always be appalled at Netflix and Fincher for not renewing it, of all shows. This is a top-tier investigative crime thriller show on their roster - and I will hope that they do renew it. I'd rather a fresh season of Mindhunter than more shows on constantly repeated criminals like Dahmer.  #mindhunter #jonathangroff #netflix #netflixseries #series #crime #thriller #manson #dahmer #edkemper https://www.instagram.com/p/Cj8jkr3SIUM/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

🕸 🕷 Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White 🐖 “Why did you do all this for me?' he asked. 'I don't deserve it. I've never done anything for you.' 'You have been my friend,' replied Charlotte. 'That in itself is a tremendous thing.” Salutations! I read Charlotte’s Web back when I was a child. I still have the same book from 2003, and it’s one of the books that I have saved for my nieces and nephew to read with one day, hoping that it adds to their childhood the same way it did for me. I still remember walking into the bookstore, hand in hand with my Abbu, who picked this book out and bought it for me. I’ve re-read this book a fair number of times since then – and it holds the same warm, sweet, nostalgic magic every single time. The book is a beautifully written, unforgettable story about friendship and love - the purest, sweetest form of love Wilbur and Charlotte have for each other as friends. The story mainly centers on Wilbur (a pig) and Charlotte (a spider) who live in a barn and their interactions and relationships with the other barn animals and people. The story is a powerful one, with lessons of kindness, friendship, loyalty, and generosity. It also has its fair share of humorous parts that I enjoyed as a child and still do, as an adult. The ending was heartbreaking, but also teaches us another important lesson – I won’t spoil that here. This is the perfect children’s book and even if an adult were to read this – they would not be able to find any fault with it. Charlotte’s Web is truly a book for all ages and is a must-read for anyone. The overall experience, imagination, and profound impact of this book when I was a kid was one of the main reasons why I ended up reading more books and is a major reason why I am a bookworm today. Forever grateful to E.B. 🌕 Werewolf by Night 🗡🪓 Werewolf by Night is the perfect watch for this season - this short special had all the vintage horror themes going on, through the music, sound effects and the black and white color scheme. Jack and Elsa were both unique and intriguing characters - their on-screen interaction and eventual chemistry was pleasant to watch. I didn't know that Man-Thing was going to make an appearance, so that was nice surprise for me - and the visual effects were very good. Everything about WBN just felt nostalgic, with the plot, spooky themes and action sequences. I wasn't aware until I finished watching WBN that this is The Music Composer: Michael Giacchino's directorial debut, the direction of this film was excellent. The score, as per most of Giacchino's work, was great, fitting and on-theme. WBN consistently felt like a love letter to the classic horror genre, and was a very fun watch. I wish this had been at least a 90-minute film instead, I was left wanting a lot more. I would love to see more of Jack, Elsa and Ted in future Marvel projects! #werewolfbynight #marvel #mcu #disneyplus #disney #halloweenspecial #halloween #spookyseason #horror #classichorror #vintagehorror #werewolf #manthing #lauradonelly #gaelgarciabernal #elsabloodstone #jackrussell #monster https://www.instagram.com/p/Cj00GBxNscl/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

👧🏼 Rosemary's Baby 👶 - Book and Movie I still remember the exact moment and time I read Rosemary's Baby. It was my very first gig into the ✨️ Corporate World TM ✨️ on a summer break from Uni. I was an intern and my main roles were scanning records for digitization, making excel files, and lying through my teeth when telling other people that my job as an intern was an immersive, lifechanging experience with exposure that was well beyond the scanner/photocopier machines. 😁 I would roll into the office at 9 am and usually had a couple of hours to myself in the morning with a laptop before the actual work started. I started using those free hours to read e-books. It was a quiet morning, in the summer of 2015, and I was just getting started on my Ira Levin phase. Rosemary's Baby was the second book of Ira Levin's that I read (first was The Stepford Wives). I remember thinking that this was the first book I had ever read with a slow burn - which ended up hitting intensely hard. I loved it. It was suspenseful, chilling, and sinister. You can't help but want Rosemary and her baby to be safe. There was so much foreshadowing and gloom going on, and I feeling dreadful that it will not end well. This book, (and most of Ira Levin's other work) is vintage, unique, and timeless horror. The movie was released in 1968, roughly a year after the book was published, and irrespective of whether one has read the book or not, it easily fits in the category of one of the best horror films ever produced. I rewatched the movie earlier this year with my brother (along with the film, I also enjoyed watching my brother’s reactions or comments to the events that were transpiring in the movie). The movie was a faithful visual representation of the book and was equally creepy and scary. I will possibly never get over that ending. P.S. Ira Levin wrote a second part titled "Son of Rosemary's Baby”, but I refuse to talk about it. It was terrible and I wish I hadn't read it. #rosemarysbaby #iralevin #horror #thriller #scary #spookyseason #halloween #bookreview #bookrecommendation #books #movies #horrorbooks #horrormovies https://www.instagram.com/p/CjlVSydNdc7/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

💀 Deadman Wonderland 💉 - Anime and Manga I think I watched the anime back in 2015? The anime pulled me in, especially the first few episodes, but they only made one 13-ep season, so it ended up feeling abrupt and incomplete. The story was engaging enough for me to read the manga from start to finish (better to read it from the beginning, the anime misses a lot of key details). Its only after I read the manga that I rated the anime from an 8 to a 7. The pacing and the story are so much better in the manga. The anime has a great opening theme - definitely one of the best anime openings I've heard. DMW had a very strong premise, and great characters. Most of the series was very interesting and thrilling, but the clearly the same creativity wasn't used to construct the ending, at all. My friends and I had a huge disagreement on the whether the ending was good or not - right before a final exam. Good times. If you're a fan of dark psychological thrillers, you can definitely give this a shot. I quite liked it back in my 2015 era. #anime #thrilleranime #horroranime #manga #horrormanga #deadmanwonderland #onereason #thrillermanga #horror #thriller #psychologicalthriller #shounen https://www.instagram.com/p/CjinwWaNXnK/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
