I just watched season two of extraordinary and (spoiler!!!!!) the kash kissing clark storyline was the sweetest thing I’ve seen in a while omg!!

coming out as asexual is way harder than it should be - because the majority people still have no idea what asexuality is. plus it is very different for each person.

I always struggled with coming out - I still do! - and I thought it was because I’m too protective of my inner peace. which in a way is true, only when I used to think I was bi, or gay, I thought “when the time is right I’ll just tell people and be done with it”. guess what! every time I have considered coming out as ace I freak out because I will have to ✨explain✨.

my point is, I wish people knew about asexuality, and I’m not just talking about cishet people but also the lgbtq+ community. it would just be so much easier.

and of course, it would take the fucking shame away, because it’s time. (but that’s a whole other discussion).

once again thinking about adrianne lenker and buck meek and how they’re closer than ever now, after getting divorced, and they seem to be growing together in a way and make more beautiful music. and also patti smith and robert mapplethorpe and how they were each others muse even after they stopped being lovers. and just in general the fact that relationships change all the time and probably for the better and also art never stops being part of the equation I guess

you know what’s unrealistic about all the young dudes (and harry potter too)? the fact that the protagonists met their best friends from the moment they stepped at hogwarts express. in reality they’d probably be stuck with a random kid with whom they’d hang out for a while while not really liking each other

this!! I got so caught in the izzy thing that I forgot how much I loved gentlebeard in the finale! (also how crazy of the writers to not give them one, but TWO reunions!!!!! I love love love it)

OFMD Spoilers for 2x08

So I just finished OFMD 2x08 and I have lots of feelings. I will probably post a longer breakdown once I've had a few days to marinate on it, but overall:

The season felt a bit rushed overall, but I'm still satisfied by the finale

Stede and Ed are everything and I squealed like a child when they found each other again

Izzy's speech about piracy is perfect

I love that Zheng and Auntie got some more development

I am sad about Izzy's death, but narratively I did find it satisfying
