Looped Life sounds really cool and I'd love to hear more! Though I do have to remind you Martyn and Jimmy teamed in Secret Life lol! Someone like Etho or Bigb could be cool for the story!

Yeah, I realized after I posted it that I had forgotten they teamed in Secret Life. I'm happy to share more of my thoughts about the AU.

The Watchers don't want Jimmy to know about the time loop. If MC(Main Character) tells Jimmy about the loops they make the current loop much harder for them.

They won't punish MC for telling others though. One loop, they try getting everyone else in on it so they can help. Some people believe them, some don't. I think players like Grian, Martyn, Pearl, and BigB, those who were on Evo and are familiar with The Watchers, would be likely to believe them(dependant on them not being MC). I see players like Joel, Ren, and Etho being more likely to not believe or think MC is lying to try to get further in the game.

I think in one of the earliest loops they try just not teaming with Jimmy. Let the looping and the keeping him alive be somebody else's problem. It doesn't work.

Its a similar line of thinking that leads to them finding out they need to survive until the end too. They purposely let themself go out of the series before Jimmy thinking that they can't be held accountable for him if they're dead. They barely get one second in the afterlife before they're waking up in a new loop.

They try a loop avoiding interaction with other players as much as possible. They build a secret bunker and only leave for the essentials. They don't even stick around for the beginning of series circle pow-wow and explaining of rules. They just turn and leave while Grian is still talking.

They try a loop where they ally with almost everyone so they won't be attacked.

They try a loop where they go on the offensive. High aggression, kill or be killed, trust no one.

In one of the later loops, they lose it. They isolate themself. They scream and cry and bang their head against a wall. They destroy things and burn builds. They're careless with their safety and get hurt a lot because they didn't try to get away from a fire or explosion or wayward arrow. They start to think the loops are less about Jimmy winning and more about watching them break.

The Watchers don't want it to be too easy for them so the loops don't stay consistent. Some loops are exactly the same as a previous loop, maybe one or two differences. Other loops are completely unlike any other from the players to the teams and even down to the terrain.

I like the idea of it being Scott because I still have flower husbands brain rot but I can easily see it being Grian or Joel or Tango. Though if you wanted to do someone who he hasn't teamed with before I think it would work really well with Martyn.

So anyways, [Character] finds out that they're stuck in a time loop, and the only way to break it is for Jimmy to win but [Character] needs to escort him to the end so if either of them go out of the series the loop restarts.

And maybe they think they just need to get the two of them to the end and then find out that for the loop to end Jimmy needs to kill them and take the win like in the hunger games when they said that if the last two tributes are from the same district there will be two winners but then said 'lol nvm' when Katniss and Peeta actually made it to the final two.

Danny's home dimension becomes unsafe for him so he leaves. After some training from Wulf he learns how to make portals of his own and uses them to travel the multiverse, occasionally doing errands for Clockwork if he's in the right dimension for it. He discovers cool places and makes friends across many universes, spending time in some universes more than others. His other dimension friends have grown used to him coming and going at the most random times.

DPxDC Let Danny Be an Astronaut Dammit!

Every dpxdc fic and their mother has Danny not be able to be an astronaut because of his accident. Well I say NO!

LET THE BOY LIVE HIS DREAMS!!

We're talking DC, where meta humans are just a thing that exists. People have extraordinary powers and that's normal. NASA would totally have a specialized space program for metas who's abilities make them particularly desirable for outer atmospheric conditions!

Oh? What's that? You're a meta and your ability make you impervious to extreme temperatures? That would be super helpful in the freezing vacuum of space! Your ability makes you less sensitive to negative effects from g-forces and changes in gravitational pull? You can spend so much more time out of atmosphere without negative consequences!

NASA would love the opportunities opened up by these individuals and their specialized abilities. Give them Danny? They would be frothing at the goddamn mouth.

Doesn't need to breath, impervious to cold temperatures, can fly, so much more, and, if we go space core Danny, doesn’t need rations because he can get sustenance straight from the stars? He's everything they've ever wanted! Who cares if his vitals are fucky? They're normal for him! And once they have record of what his normal values are? No issue! In my vet classes we learn that you wouldn't treat a cat the same way as a bird because they have different needs and normal values. Well it's the same for humans and metas! I don't think Danny's different biology would be as big of an issue as a lot of fics make it out to be.

Okay so, we love the trope of 'Ghost King Danny gets summoned when cult was trying to get Pariah Dark' in this fandom but like... how does it actually work?

Hear me out.

So the summonings only become Danny's problem after he becomes Ghost King by right of conquest, but why are people summoning Pariah Dark? Or trying to, I should say. Because judging by how he was never an issue before Vlad opened the Sarcophagus of Forever Sleep, we can probably assume that the sarcophagus blocked any summoning attempts. And he's been locked up for centuries. So wouldn't word eventually get around in the magic community that the summoning ritual doesn't work? Are these cults just going for it and hoping that they'll be lucky and it'll work for them even though it hasn't worked for anyone for thousands of years? Are the cults just trying different stuff all the time cause they think that it's just that nobody has gotten the ritual right?

And how can we fit this idea into fics? You can have a really funny scenario of the first cult to attempt summoning after Danny takes the title. The summoning circle starts glowing and the cult goes 'Omg it's actually working?!'. But then they finish the ritual and it's just... some teen? Or if we go dpxdc(or some other crossover with heroes) and a hero is dealing with said cult? They consult their local magic knowledgeable person and are told 'Oh yeah, go ahead and stop them so they don't blood sacrifice anyone but don't worry too much, that ritual doesn't work'. So they're rounding up these cultists and maybe they interrupted a summoning attempt or a cultist makes a shoddy attempt as a last ditch effort and suddenly Danny is there. The hero is just like 'I thought this ritual was supposed to not work!!!'.

I kinda love fics where Danny and Vlad actually have a good relationship. Like, Vlad needs a TON of therapy first but they actually end up having a healthy Uncle & Nephew and/or Mentor & Apprentice relationship. Especially with AGIT having opened up the beginning of a pathway for it to happen canonically? Like...

God I just love AUs where Danny's ghost form is perpetually crying. It's just such a good trope.

When he's just feeling neutral and going about his day but he keeps getting stopped and asked what's wrong and if he's okay because he looks like someone just told him his childhood pet died.

When you can tell he's happy because his eyes are so bright and his smile is wide and uninhibited. He can't keep himself in one place because he's got the zoomies from how excited he is. He'll ramble on and on about stars and constellations, talking a mile a minute and using his hands to gesture out every word. But it all feels so strikingly wrong. Because despite his clear joy, the tears fall freely. It gives this distinct and overwhelming feeling of otherness that makes it so uncomfortable for anyone around him.

And when he's sad? Oh when he's actually sad? It's not just tears. It's full on sobs. This heaving, screaming, unable to catch your breath kind of bawling. It's a woman who just learned her only child died in a freak and tragic accident. It's the family grieving a family member who lost to cancer. It's the teen at the grave of their best friend who took their own life. It's the combined sorrow and despair of anyone who's ever felt it.

Danny never wanted to be a hero. He only took up the title of 'Protector of Amity' out of a sense of responsibility of having opened the portal. It did, however, let him discover that he loves helping people. So when he gets adopted by the Waynes and they come clean about being vigilantes, he refuses the offer to suit up and join then but does want to find some way to help. This leads to him becoming Oracle's assistant/mentee.

excited for hermitcraft season 10 this weekend. i only ended up getting into hermitcraft in season 9 with the empiressmp crossover so this will be the first season i get to watch from the start.

so there was this one post that I started reading and then my tumblr crashed and I wasn't able to finish reading it. it had Sam being at a Wayne gala and recognizing Damian as Danny's 5 year younger brother and Danny also calls Damian "starlight". that's all the identifying info that I have from how far I got in the post but if anyone recognizes it can they let me know?

My mind with this is focused on what happens when Damian joins the family. We are assuming that Tim-Danny got adopted already. Well Damian, due to his constant exposure to the pits growing up, registers to Danny as a fledgling liminal/halfa. So when Damian attacks Tim? He reciprocates, he sees it for the attempt at socializing that it is. I also think that once Damian's loyalty has shifted from the league to his family Danny would let him in on his secret if the others haven't figured it out yet.

Danny Fenton is so damn sick of rich fruit loops. It’s worse now, since he’s one of them.

It’s not Vlad that he’s with, thank the Ancients, but Danny isn’t sure that this is better.

Because he’s Timothy Drake, a baby, and he’s been reincarnated after the Ancient of Reincarnation accidentally drank too much wine.

He’s going to kick their ass so hard when he gets back.

Danny huffs. He rolls over, ignoring the silent manor. Sure, he’s read the comics. Sure, he laughed and imagined being adopted by Batman- come on, Danny had black hair and blue eyes even back then, he was totally adoption bait- when his parents gave him reason to lose trust in their love. But that’s it, that’s all he thought it was. A day dream, a wish for a universe that didn’t exist.

Danny hadn’t understood the reality of the whole Infinite Realms thing, a place he was now the King of. Batman? Real. Danny? Reincarnated. Hotel? Trivago.

Like, this wasn’t what he meant, dammit.

And now he’s stuck as Timothy Drake, and Ancients, he was starting to see parallels.

Danny tried photography. He really did. He wanted to at least stick to the source material. But that’s not who he is. Even with the shiny new brain that memorized, catalogued, and put together clues at the snap of his fingers, but Danny’s never been one to take photos. It’s a respectable art, for sure, but Danny preferred to live in the moment instead of capturing it to remember forever. It’s just-

He watched the Graysons fall. He watched Dick Grayson turn into Robin. And Danny can’t and won’t ever betray his Obsession like that, ever again. He can’t let Jason die for his “story” to begin. That’s not how Danny works.

He’s there to protect.

Danny hasn’t ever been just Tim. Danny was also Tim and the Ghost King without a haunt. But now? Gotham is his haunt. He, in lieu of an actual city spirit, is Gotham. He’s also a Drake. And Drakes were meant to hoard.

Batman and Robin? They are his.

He claimed them, as a Drake. But that claim is weak. So he claimed them as their city, and that is a claim that will never be able to be challenged.

Danny’ll be damned before he allows some lanky starved clown beat the life out of one of his Robins. So, for the first time in his nine years on this planet, Tim-Danny goes ghost and flies.

“Who- who. Are you?” Robin slurred from his place in Danny’s hold. He is broken, yes. But not dead. Danny infuses some of his vitality, his ecto, into Jason’s injuries to help them heal.

“Gotham.” Danny replied, layering his ghostly voice with those of the city.

“Goth’m?”

“Gotham. Sleep, little bird. Your city has got you.”

When Robin, Jason, settled with a sense of trust that tugs at Danny’s core, Danny carried him to Batman, whose eyes were wild and manic. He glared menacingly at the green and white ghost in front of him, who was holding his broken and beaten son-

Well, it’d be menacing if Danny hadn’t watched him eat bricks and mortar, crashing into a building while using his grappling gun.

“You-”

“I am Gotham.” Danny cut him off. Despite his wary nature and natural paranoia, Batman settled at his city’s gaze rested on him. Danny knew that Batman recognized his city. Batman’s head bowed, but his eyes stayed on Robin. “You were supposed to take care of Robin.”

“I- I know.” And that voice was all Bruce Wayne the Dad instead of Batman the Vigilante. Danny gently placed Robin in Batman’s arms, taking in the tremors as he held his son close.

“Go back, Bruce. And make sure Jason knows how much you love him.”

He laughed as Bruce whipped his head upwards. “I am your city. You are mine as much as I am yours. I’ve known of you before you were born.”

Technically? Not untrue. But Bruce will chalk it up to weird magic shit. It’s not like it’s a secret that Gotham’s kind of curse. Besides, this way, Danny will be able to help out more often. And Bruce won’t be able to connect Tim Drake to the “Spirit of Gotham.”

“Return, my knight. This is not your city. I can not protect you as well as I can in Gotham.”

“Thank you… Gotham.”

Danny sighed. He wondered when he’ll have to field questions from a John Constantine. He’s pretty sure Bruce will call in magical help, even if it was his own city he was investigating.

Batman’s lucky Danny liked him enough to allow it.

lil benign pet peeve of mine in this fandom is how often I see people call Vlad's company Vlad.Co like it's not hurting anyone and I am in now way trying to call out or embarrass those who have done this but it always gets to me when I see it because the company is Dalv.Co and the whole reason it was called that was so Danny wouldn't make the connection when they got invited one the fake trip in the episode Maternal Instincts
