Chapter 8
Danny looked up as Tim Drake-Wayne strode into the lab and closed the door quietly behind him. “Tim?” “Mm-hum?” Tim hummed as he sat down his thermos and then shed his messenger bag, coat, and school jacket onto an open part of a desk. Danny watched on with bemusement. The kid looked half asleep. “Not that it isn’t great to see you again, but what are you doing here, honey?”

DP x DC Prompt, Danny/Bruce
A grown up Danny moves to Gotham. Maybe its for work, maybe its for the ecto-rich environment, maybe its cause all his friends have ended up there and he decided to follow. They've taken care of the GIW and his parents have accepted him so Danny has no issues with being openly meta. Bruce catches wind of a meta in Gotham and pays Danny a visit as Batman. He give Danny the "No metas in Gotham" speech to which he is promptly told to fuck off. Danny's response is essentially: "Fuck you, I live here and I'm not just gonna pack up my life and leave because a man in a fursuit with no actual authority told me to".
Bruce can't exactly force Danny to leave so he decides that if Danny is gonna be here then he'll keep an eye on him to give him some extra protection. While watching over Danny, Bruce starts to notice little things about him. The endless kindness he seems to possess. The subtle Midwestern accent. The way his eyes literally light up when he indulges in his passions. The way his hair perfectly frames his face when it's still damp from his morning shower. Bruce finds himself absolutely smitten. The only problem? Danny can't stand him.
Danny has held a grudge against Batman after the whole 'you aren't welcome in my city' thing. Any time he sees the Bat he'll flip him off or just glare if he has the young one of his sidekicks with him. Which, Bruce can admit, is fair. Bruce wouldn't take very kindly to being told to leave like that either. No problem though, he'll just get to know him as a civilian right? Wrong. Danny doesn't like billionaires on principle so thats a non-starter.
Now Bruce is left to figure out how to win over this man who seems to get along with everyone except him.

Alfred: I'm afraid I don't have any open positions right now available
Danny: There isn't? But what about the ad on Gotham Job Connects saying a nanny was needed at Wayne Manor?
Alfred: I am unsure how that go on there but I can assure you, no one here put up that-
Damian: Excuse me, are you Daniel Fenton?
Danny: *Blinks down at child* Oh um yes I am.
Damian: Excellent. You're right on time for your interview. Please follow me.
Alfred: Master Damian? You put up a ad for a nanny?
Damian: That's right.
Alfred: You....want someone to care for you?
Damian: Heavens no. I'm searching for a nanny for the real child of the house. I know you're overwhelmed with the day to day duties running the household and didn't want you to have a heart attack from the stress. A professional nanny would lift the load off your shoulders.
Danny: That's so sweet that you care so much for your staff. Who's the child you want someone to help take care of? You're baby brother or sister?
Damian: My father.
Danny: .....
Alfred embarrassed: Master Damian....why would you-?
Damian: Richard says Father acts like a child, and children need minding if they make idiotic decisions too often.
Danny: .....
Alfred: I'm terrible sorry about this young man. I'll reimburse any millage you wasted driving out here.
Danny: No, it's okay. I-
Damian: The pay is fifty dollars a hour. Eighty hours every two weeks. We cover all benefits such as medical, dental, vision and auto insurance, and lodging can be provided if needed. Depending on how long we need your services I'll set up a retirement fund for you matching your bi-weekly pay.
Danny: So I would be like a in home caregiver? Most of my experience is with children but I'm sure I could handle your father.
Alfred: Master Damian!
Damian: *Hands Alfred a piece of paper*
Alfred after reading it: How soon can you start sir?

A Thing with Wings aka Birdritch
Update Subscription Post
Status: Active
Ship: Danny Fenton/Bruce Wayne
CW: eldritch!Danny, mild body horror, canon typical violence, chronic pain, health issues
Life is going pretty well for Danny Fenton. He's a top engineer at Wayne Enterprises, has an apartment full of plants, and is resolutely ignoring his ghostly side. Or at least he was until a run in with Poison Ivy's plants resulted in a night spent cuddling some Bats as a giant, otherwordly bird. (Or birdritch, if one would rather.) Danny is more than a little embarrassed in the morning and more than a little confused when his life starts filling up with Waynes over the next few weeks. Why did Bruce Wayne have to be so charming? And why did his family have to feel like home?

Hi guys, fantastic Idea!
(Bruce Wayne × Danny Fenton | Spirit Halloween Ship btw)
(Also Din Djarin × Luke Skywalker | DinLuke)
Anyway, through some quirk of the multiverse, call it reincarnation or transmigration or whatever, Danny is Luke and Bruce is Din.
I think you can already see the vision but anyway imagine it!
Creepy, eldritch, Wrong Danny Fenton, powered by unfathomable, inconceivable, otherworldly powers becomes Luke Skywalker, who is equally unsettling and similarly controlled by the Entity that is the Force.
They're smiley! Friendly! Powerful beyond mortal comprehension! And they don't even realize that they're also Incredibly Unsettling! Extremely Unnatural in their movements! It's Terrifying!
And then Bruce Wayne and Din Djarin, Batman and the Mandalorian. Equally Unnaturally Competent, Lethally Efficient Hunters, that are concerningly self-sacrificial. Equally soft and nurturing anxiety-ridden overthinkers that stumbled their way into single fatherhood and then immediately grasped hold of their new bundles of joy with overprotective hands and a tendency to bring them into active battlefields!
Tell me they're not the same people!
Anyway whether they knew each other before or not, Danny and Bruce (Luke and Din) find each other in this strange new world and get together, Yay!
And as they are both prone to do, adopt a lot of children. There is a reason Bruce becomes a Mandalorian and he better make the most of it! Also Skywalker, space pilot Danny.

Sleepy King
The Justice League Dark caught wind of a cult trying to summon the Ghost King. A being with power so terrible and great, that all of the chaotic Infinite Realms feared him. A true tyrant. Long ago it took the effort of ghosts equal to gods to seal him away into a permeant slumber.
And now this cult wishes to wake him and bring him to the living realm. It was a race against the clock to find the ritual site and all members were called on board, magic or not. Even Constantine looked stressed.
They did find the site.
But it was too late, the ritual was completed. The entire inner circle of runes glowed before being swallowed in a column of green light. The air filled with static and a ringing that made Supergirl crumble to the ground.
The light dissipated, but there was no great figure or being of pure evil. Instead there was a boy, a teenager. He laid on the ground curled up in his sleep. He was a ghost no doubt, dressed in regal clothing.
Despite this when he stirred, everyone froze. It seemed the cold hard ground woke him up. He got up slowly and yawned, revealing his sharp fangs. Once sat up he opened his bleary eyes to look around. He looked confused and tired, really tired.
"Where am I?" He mumbled. "I was trying to get some sleep." Constantine internally screaming, latches onto that last sentence. He glances over to Batman. He caught that last part too. Batman approaches calmly and crouches down in front of the boy king. Hardening his resolve, Batman takes on a gentle tone.
"Hey kiddo, sorry we woke you. Lets get you back to bed yeah?" The boy nodded in agreement. He pulled himself to his feet before looking around in a circle. "Where did my blanket go?" He asked rather sadly. Batman is quick to shed his own cape and drape it over him. "You can borrow my cape until we get you a new one." He nodded again, pulling the black fabric around himself.
John quickly summoned a portal door, while Batman led the King through it. John threw looks around at everyone. Everyone could tell he was mouthing the words. 'Find me a fucking blanket now'
Running on the logic of getting the king away from Earth, away from graves and the undead, that could give him power. The portal led to the Watch Tower.
Batman took advantage of the King's bleary state to send a base wide alert for all noncritical members to evacuate immediately. With a priority that death adjacent members leave first. "The stars are pretty." Bruce looked at the boy staring out the window in wonder. He almost looked like a normal kid, almost.
"Yeah they are, it's pretty late so we should get you back to bed." He nodded, going along with Batman's gentle coaxing.
He takes the boy to an unused bedroom. Making sure the room isn't dusty and that lights are dimmed. He glances back to see about a dozen different leaguers all holding blankets, one thought to bring extra pillows. The bed was pretty barren with only a single pillow and a thin bedsheet. So Bruce took a thick duvet, one of the fluffier blankets and a second pillow from his team before shooing them away.
The boy ended up keeping his cape, mumbling how it was warm. He tucked the boy in, before quietly exiting the room and turning off the light. He was pretty sure the King fell back to sleep before he even reached the light switch.
After the door shut, he made direct eye contact with John. "Constantine." They needed to figure out what the hell was going on.

Danny and Damian are related, with a twist.
Danny is the son of Talia Al Ghul, however he is NOT the son of Bruce Wayne. Ra’s has had his eyes on various people across the world that have either impressed him or show a unique skill set that he’d like to have. One such person was under the both categories and he got Talia to collect a DNA sample and as a result Danny was born.
This was before Bruce’s time with the League by a few years, but very quickly Danny was not meeting expectations. And by the time Bruce did show up Ra’s had lost all interest in Danny, moving on to better things.
Talia always hated Danny because she was forced to have him with a man who she never liked in the first place. Furthermore, because his skillset was lacking she found that even more reason for her distain. In her eyes, he wasn’t worth even considering her blood.
Danny, knowing that he was doomed if he didn’t make an escape, left the league sometime around when Bruce was moving up the ranks and was making waves within the organization. Perfect timing honestly, any attention he might have had was quickly gone when this prodigy showed up.
Danny escaped the League and went into hiding quickly after, settling on a rural area of the United States after bouncing around countries for a few months. This was mainly because Jasmine Fenton saw a young boy pick pocketing strangers while her family was visiting Chicago and scolded him. Her mother and father saw the boy and also lectured him to which Danny responded it was his only option (he was trying to get this loud family off his back so he could sneak away). Eventually the Fentons decide that if he has nowhere to go he might as well go with us, and Danny decides blending in with a Nuclear Family is the best way to ensure that his peaceful life away from the League stays that way. Oh how little did he know.
Flash forward a few years, Talia, who was visiting Gotham to check on Damian, sees a glimpse of a boy (now man) she thought she had forgotten. Her blood runs cold, if this abomination is in Gotham then her son is likely in danger and she would never let anything happen to Damian.

Danny has been having issues trying to find a job that allows him to use his powers. He’s no longer in the superhero scene anymore but why not still put his powers to use?
After successfully gaining a job as a Stuntman, he didn’t know what he signed himself up to do but he took multiple classes to prepare and fell in love with the profession. His powers letting him further excel in his career as things like flight, intangibility, and duplication all were things that studio heads were delighted of as it lessened the cost of production.
Stuntman don’t get a lot of recognition by average film goers which is fine for Danny. Staying under the radar and living a normal life is all he could ever ask for.
Sadly for Danny, that anonymity didn’t last forever. Danny was hired as a stunt performer in a 90s satire esque autobiography movie written and starring the Gotham Billionaire Bruce Wayne.
During an on set interview midway though Bruce explaining to the interviewer that Hot Shots was his biggest inspiration for this film, Danny casually walked behind the set, just trying to get to the costume department and thinking nothing of being temporarily on camera behind the Billionaire.
The day the interview was uploaded onto YouTube, Danny’s phone was blowing up from messages from his friends and family telling him he had become an internet sensation overnight. It turns out his casual walk behind Bruce Wayne led to the internet losing their minds trying to find the Bruce Wayne look-alike. I mean, Danny DID become Bruce’s primary stunt double because he looked so similar, that’s the whole point of stunt doubles, but Danny didn’t think it was THAT similar.

DC x DP prompt - sex growl
Phantom, new Rogue in Gotham: I know that's you, Bruce. We hooked up too many times in college for me to not recognize your sex growl.
Batman, panicking that his college crush is a rogue and also here: Hm.
Nightwing, practiced the Batman Voice for months to fill in when needed, traumatized all over again: YOUR *WHAT*

Venting
The GIW had gotten on his last nerve. Danny wasn’t at all worried about them actually managing to catch a ghost they were just that bad. But when their pure incompetence managed to mildly injure 12 people and seriously injure another 5, with one in the ICU and no confirmation on them ever coming out of the coma, Danny felt his patience fraying.
After getting the cryptic okay from Clockwork, he enacted his plan to get rid of the jerks. Death by debt. As in, their funding wouldn’t be enough to keep them afloat and they would be disbanded. He started by getting Tucker to locate all their bases, and had Sam work on creating a sedative (using plant products, because she would kill him if he used chemicals).
Once the bases were located and gas canisters were prepared, he was off. All the agents were knocked out, removed from the building, and all weapons taken. After that was Tucker getting into their systems and taking all the data, then wiping it. Then was setting all paperwork on fire and destruction of the building completely.
Watching it crumble gave him so much satisfaction. He stuck around invisible to watch the agents wake up and have a meltdown about their clothing before even noticing the destroyed building. He only barely made it away before nearly dying of laughter.
Luckily this all happened during the summer, his parents had decided to go on a convention road trip, so he was free to leave the state and destroy more bases. He ended up in Gotham and was shocked the Agents had managed to even step foot in the place. It felt like the air itself would stain their white suits.
Shaking off the feeling and sending out a ‘I’m a guest here to remove some pests’ to Lady Gotham, Danny moved towards the base in what was a well oiled system by now. He had managed to knock all the agents out and was moving them outside when he heard a cough behind him. Turning he saw one of the Bats, Red Robin.
“What exactly are you doing?” RR asked with mild curiosity.
Danny glanced down at the agents then back up to RR. “Teenage venting through destruction of government property?”
They stared at each other silently for a minute before RR broke out in a grin. “Can I help?”
Danny smirked. “Sure! You go inside and bring the rest of them out. I’ll search them for weapons and stuff.”
RR was about to walk away to do as asked when he saw Danny taking off the shoes. “Are the shoes weapons too?”
Danny snickered. “Nah. They have this thing about getting their white suits dirty and it fills me with glee to make their white socks dirty too.”
Danny swore he could hear someone howling in laughter through RR’s coms.

An abundance of birbs part 33
Masterpost Please no editing or concrit, I know I have missing or swapped words, but I am super fuzzy from this headache. It will get a good edit before ao3. <3
“I’m hiding in here from your children,” Danny said as he came into Bruce’s study. He had a tray of tea and snacks in hand, so he must have been sent up by Alfred.
“That’s more than fair, considering,” Bruce said with a little smile.
Danny just sighed as he set the tray down. “You have video, don’t you.”
Bruce nodded. “Jason sent one and Tim the other. They’re very moving.”
“Yes, Jerry’s love for me is eternal, clearly,” Danny drolled.
“If only Jerry’s father would approve of the union,” Bruce said.
Danny gave a little hum as he poured the tea. “Alas, Damian does seem very resistant to the idea, if the lecture he gave Jerry is any indication. Cream, sugar?”
“A little cream, thank you,” Bruce said and got up from his desk. “And Jerry was being very forward so the lecture may be a little deserved, but who can blame him with those wings.”
“Mister Wayne,” Danny said with an exaggerated gasp, “are you you saying that you’re enamored with my wings?”
Bruce reached out and brushed his fingertips through Danny’s wings. He could play it all off, of course. It could just be part of the rest of their banter. But did he want to? He’s enjoyed having Danny around. The man seemed to just fit with the family. Overall, the children certainly seemed to like him. And, well, Bruce found that he quite liked Danny too. Maybe it was time to take a little risk.
“Yes,” Bruce said. “Though the wings are hardly the only thing about you that I’m enamored with.”
Danny blushed so quickly that Bruce was honestly a little concerned bout Danny’s blood pressure. “I—um, oh?”
“Is it that surprising? You’re kind, intelligent, considerate. You protected my children and even before that were gentle and understanding with them. You have a sense of humor and seem able to handle just about anything,” Bruce said, which was almost an understatement with what Danny has been through lately. “And, more shallowly, you’re very attractive, with or without the wings.”
“That—I—oh come on, you of all people can say someone else is attractive!” Danny sputtered.
“Oh?”
“Have you not looked in a mirror recently? You’re the type of person that ‘devastatingly handsome’ was coined for,” Danny said with a gesture at Bruce. “Which is something that I just said out loud. I don’t suppose you want to fire me so that I can run away to a remote island somewhere?”
Bruce chuckled. “Fortunately, I don’t have that sort of power over your job. All that would fall to Lucius.”
“Fortunately?” Danny repeated.
“Umhum. It means that there’s no company policy we’re breaking if we were to date. And there’s no pressure for you to say yes if you’re opposed to the idea,” Bruce said. He very much wanted to make that clear. “And between the press, my reputation, the large family, and the recent rogue attack I know there are a number of reasons to be opposed to the idea.”
“Bruce,” Danny said before Bruce could continue, “are you trying to talk me into dating you or out of it?”
“I well…” Bruce cleared his throat. “I don’t want to assume anything or imply that I am some sort of catch because I hardly am. I am a stubborn man. I have… a rather deep seated anxiety that verges on paranoia at times. It has and can make me overbearing when I try to protect the people I care about. I come with six children, almost as many pseudo children, and a frankly terrifyingly competent butler who is like a father to me. Every relationship I’m in and not actually in ends up in the paper—”
The spiral of words—of reasons he wasn’t good enough for someone like Danny was cut short as Danny pushed himself up on his tiptoes and across the coffee table to press his lips to Bruce’s. Bruce sighed softly into the kiss as it put sudden stop to the unwanted thoughts. Danny left his hand on Bruce’s cheek as he pulled back a little.
“Too forward?” Danny asked. His words and eyes alike were filled with nerves.
“Not at all,” Bruce said quickly. He followed his words up with a quick kiss as proof. “I am sorry about rambling like that. As I said, deeply anxious.”
“Anxious is okay. You’re aware of it. I’m not exactly a paragon of mental health either. I’ve been going to therapy since I was eighteen,” Danny said. His thumb gently stroked Bruce’s cheek. “First off, fuck the press. I can deal with it. Second off, your family is huge and wonderful and not at all something that would stop me, not unless they hated me.”
“They certainly do not hate you,” Bruce assured him.
“Third off,” Danny continued with a little smile, “I guess the anxiety, which we’ve covered. And fourth off, I am also very stubborn and have no problem telling someone to budge off if they’re being too much. So, yeah, we might have lines to find out and some of those we’d find out be crossing them and fucking up, but that’s just part of dating, isn’t it? If any of them become lines that we can’t deal with, well, we’re old enough that I would hope that we could end things maturely.”
“I have a very good track record of remaining friends with my exes, for better or worse,” Bruce said.
“Better or worse?”
“Harvey Dent, as one example.”
“Ah,” Danny said with a little nod. “I’ve heard that he’s been doing better at least?”
“That or he’s planning something big,” Bruce said with a sigh. “But I even I know I should stop talking about an ex with someone that just kissed me.”
“Generally a good rule,” Danny agreed with a little smile. “Does this mean that we’re going to try dating?”
“If I didn’t talk you out of it,” Bruce joked.
“Like I said, I’m stubborn,” Danny pointed out. “But as much as I adore them, I expect at least one dinner out with no children once my wings are gone.”
“Deal,” Bruce agreed easily and leaned down to give Danny a proper kiss.

DPxDC Prompt: Meet Cute Fail
Just a Spirit Halloween (Danny/Bruce) fic where Danny and Bruce keep running into each other and having every textbook meet cute there is and Bruce continually fumbling the bag. It's like the moment he sees Danny all his ability to act like a normal person goes out the window. His children are increasingly frustrated with his inability to play it cool. Lucky for Bruce, Danny finds it endearing.

All Seeing
DpxDc
Bruce Wayne had been many things in his life: billionaire, businessman, vigilante, father. But a long-lost uncle? That was a new one.
The SOS from a small town in Illinois had sent him racing against time, but he had been too late. An accident had taken the lives of an unknown distant cousin and their entire family—except for one. The sole survivor was a boy named Danny, left blind from the incident. When Bruce had arrived, he saw no other option but to take him in, to give him the support he needed.
Months passed, and Danny quickly found a place within the Wayne family. He was kind, gentle, and an overall bright presence in the manor. But grief had its way of clinging to people, and Danny was no exception. He had his sad days, times when he retreated into himself and let silence be his shield. Even so, the Batfamily took to him, each in their own way.
There was just one thing about him that none of them could ignore: he gives out cryptic warnings.
It had started small. He would mention the weather, and it would turn exactly as he said. He would casually hand someone an item—a band aid, an extra set of gloves, a lucky charm—and say, "Be careful." And without fail, later that day, they would end up needing it. It might have been coincidences at first, but the pattern grew undeniable.
Danny could see the future. Or, at least, something close to it.
The family, skeptics that they were, had tried to prove otherwise. They set up small tests, all of which Danny passed without even realizing he was being tested. Eventually, they stopped trying to disprove it and started trying to understand it instead. Bruce, being Bruce, documented everything. Tim, ever the investigator, compiled data. Damian remained skeptical but watched his cousin with a hawk’s eye.
Then Danny was kidnapped.
It had been a random act—a desperate group of criminals seeking to ransom Bruce Wayne’s newest ward. They had no idea what they had walked into. The moment Danny went missing, the Batfamily mobilized. It was Red Robin who found him first.
Tim had worked swiftly, dismantling the criminals with precision, tying them up before they even had a chance to process what was happening. He had moved quietly, intent on assessing Danny’s condition before alerting the others. But before he could even speak, Danny, bound and blindfolded, tilted his head slightly and murmured, "...Tim?"
Tim froze.
It wasn’t a confident statement; it was uncertain, questioning. But Danny, who should have had no way of knowing, knows.

Impossible Task? Not when you hire a ghost!
Bruce and Damian have a deal that if Damian can keep an animal hidden from everyone in manor—meaning he can't ask anyone else in the family to help him—for 1 month he'll be allowed to keep it. There are a bunch of other rules and amendments that apply, but by the end a contract is signed by the two of them.
Damian starts to pretty quickly regret agreeing to the deal when it becomes clear that he won't be getting anything past Alfred. It also doesn't help that the rest of his siblings have made it a game to see who can catch him the most. Because of this no animal has ever lasted more than a week.
This leads to Damian planning the ultimate animal hide-a-way plan for the next time he comes across an animal he must have. The problem is that no plans he comes up with works; until now!
It happened completely at random, he had been walking down the street when he noticed a boy around his age laying down in the alley, his arm outstretched under a dumpster. The boy clearly doesn’t notice Damian’s approach because when he starts to question what the other is doing he simply vanishes from view for a second before reappearing.
The boy just as quickly is pulling his arm out from under the dumpster and in his hand is now a small, fluffy gray kitten. Damian knows the little kitten would be the perfect friend for Alfred the cat.
After a bit of discussion Damian learns that the boy’s name is Danny, and is currently living alone in a run down building in Crime Alley.
Now Bruce said that he wasn’t allowed help from anyone in the family. Danny is NOT family and can turn himself and an object he’s holding invisible. Damian hires Danny to live in the manor for 1 month and to make sure no one sees either Danny and the kitten.
He’d normally be more invested in finding out more about this unknown meta, but he has a kitten to take care of now.

“Dad!”
Bruce didn’t recognize the voice, but it was young and close, so he turns. It turns out to be a teen, maybe thirteen or fourteen, and he’s jogging right up to him and Damian.
They had come to the festival as a father and son outing (encouraged by Dick) pretty far from Gotham as a bonding experience. He didn’t think anything crazy would happen in Pennsylvania, but he’s found he can be wrong about a lot of things.
When he turns, the boy doesn’t look confused at all. The teen stops in front of the two of them, Damian not bothering to hide his scowl at the boy.
“Geez, I turn around for a second and you disappear. Now who’s the ghost, huh?” The teen snarks.
Bruce blinks, but before he can say anything the boy’s attention is on Damian.
“You okay? Got separated from your people?”
“My father is right here, you idiot.”
“Damian,” he scolds.
The boy blinks in confusion before looking back up at Bruce with searching eyes. It takes him a lot longer than is normal before the teen blinks in surprise.
“Oh, yeah, you’re not my dad.”
Bruce gives an awkward smile while keeping an eye out for a man looking for a child.
“Sorry about that. You look just like my dad, like you could be twins.”
“Is that right?”
“Except he would never wear a turtleneck and he might be a little taller.”
Bruce blinks down in surprise.
“What’s wrong with turtlenecks?”
All the teen does is raise an eyebrow in silent judgement.
“Since you know this is my father and not yours, should you not be looking for him?” Damian asks in an annoyed tone.
“Oh, that’s easy,” he shrugs off with a cheeky grin that clearly says ‘watch this’. He turns toward the crowd and sucks in a deep breath before shouting at the top of his lungs, “GHOST!!”
Several people around them back away with appalled expressions that the boy doesn’t pay any attention to. A commotion is heard just to their left and suddenly there is a large man breaking through the crowd.
“Where?!”
“Dad!”
The man goes from ready to brawl to delight in two seconds flat like a golden retriever.
“Dann-o!”
The teen points to Bruce.
“I found your doppelgänger!”
