Oleander 🌿

Oleander was born with a caressing soul, which made him compassionate and sensitive. His caring and reliable nature compelled him to put others before himself and always help those in need.

These traits were not wasted on him, for he was the only son of a folk healer who had taught him about herbal medicine and botany from a young age. As he grew into adulthood, he slowly began taking over the profession of his aging mother, curing ailments and wounds of anyone who turned up at their door.

One faithful day, his mother fell ill with a mysterious disease.

Oleander tried everything he had learned, but it was all in vain. Helplessly, he watched as her condition ceaselessly deteriorated.

He toiled during the day to put food on the table and searched books by night, until he found an old, cryptic Florilegium filled with faded illustrations, which supposedly belonged to his mother, although he had never seen it before. 

Tediously wading through its dusty pages led him to discover a precious herb said to grow only in places where the influence of the old gods still remained strong.  

As the cult of Alll-mer dominated his community, he knew very little about the old gods. However, from the whispers of the townsfolk, he learned about the forsaken dungeons of Fear and Hunger. A place so horrifying that many dared not even utter its wretched name, which the old gods were rumored to control to that day.  

Oleander could not bear the thought of leaving his mother’s side, but each painful glance at her withered, dying form further persuaded him he had no choice but to say his farewells.

In exchange for tending to his mother in their infirmary, he gave all his meager savings to the church, which was supposed to care for the sick as their teachings promised, and with a strange dagger she had given to him strapped to his side, Oleander set off for the dungeons.

Merfolk Welcome!

STATICMOTH 2025 - VINTAGE I uploaded this once with all inspiration/reference links (literally had a folder for them) but some people may not jive with that or it goes against some guidelines for groups. I just want to be sure credit goes where it should, so just hunt for this on my page to find the link swarm? Or give me advice how to best do this going forward if you have ideas! StaticMoth 2025 I sort of stretched the 'vintage' of Day 1 (on top of being late, shh), stealing a scene from Hercules when he gives Megara a flower and sneaks in a wholesome little smooch. It's a little more difficult with Valentino being so tall, but it was worth it, I love drawing his arms and fluffiness. (not the patterns on his wings though but I like detail). Daddy's Little Princesses 7.10.2024 It's my personal headcanon that: after Niffty and Angel dust meet Valentino at the club, she rips a tuft of his fluff out. For this, Angel just loves this little freak and wants to keep protecting her. They go on shopping trips, play with Fat Nuggets, wear matching crap like bracelets and tanktops! You cannot convince me otherwise. Forgot to upload this on tumblr when I finished this, but here it is now!

I don't think i ever posted this concept i have of Vox's full demonic form. He's an amalgamate of tangled wires protecting his electrical heart. The wires take possession of any screen or camera lying around so he can use those as his eyes.

He's the most powerful when in the Vee tower because of the amount of technology there. Technology he created and made sure he was compatible with. I also kinda picture that a big part of the city's electricity runs under the tower.
