random (soft) bad batch headcannons

a/n: a lot of these are based on the batch being neurodivergent!

• from oldest to youngest is 99, hunter, wrecker, crosshair, tech

• tech was bullied the most as a cadet since he was the smallest (and mouthiest)

• plus w/o his goggles he can't see well enough to fight back

• his brothers wouldn't let him go anywhere alone

• tech and crosshair have the same dry, sarcastic sense of humor and find each other the funniest batcher

• hunter and wrecker disagree

• if they're in a situation where they have separate rooms hunter always shares w/ crosshair (aka the quietest)

• wrecker and tech share since they don't mind each other's mess

• crosshair or wrecker is always the 1st to notice when hunter is overstimulated

• wrecker is the most emotionally intelligent

• the batch have a rule to never call wrecker dumb or stupid because he's actually really insecure about his intelligence (which is ridiculous, do u know how smart a demolitions expert is?? he's a himbo but he's not an idiot)

• tech prefers info dumping to crosshair cuz he's the best listener

• crosshair loves all his brothers the same but he has a soft spot for tech

• crosshair gets really mad at wrecker for interrupting/ignoring tech cuz it makes tech feel annoying

• then wrecker explains he doesn't cut him off cuz he finds tech annoying, he just has a short attention span

• wrecker likes to see the best in people and can be quite trusting, something that stresses out his protective brothers

• wrecker will physically carry tech away from his work bench if he's not sleeping

• crosshair is the only one who can lie to hunter and get away w/ it bc his heart rate doesn't change

• most of the boys can ignore shit talk but wrecker is somewhat sensitive, making his brothers very protective

• maker help you if you hurt wrecker's feelings

• crosshair and tech would always get hunter to comfort him so they could plot revenge

• losing eyesight is crosshairs worst fear, watching it happen to wrecker broke his heart (he definitely cried on his big brother's chest when they were alone)

• even if they try to hide it hunter can always hear when someone's crying

• hunter tries to stay strong for his batch 24/7 but if he needs comfort, he goes to wrecker

• big guy gives the BEST hugs

• since they were raised very isolated from regs they missed out on a lot of clone culture, they don't speak mando'a

• wrecker loves cuddles!

• hunter and tech have sensory issues so they don't always want to be touched but they usually don't mind it

• as long as it doesn't get in the way of tech's work he'll chill in pretty much any position so wrecker will just use him as a teddy bear

• tech: *reading in bed*

wrecker: *climbs into tech's bunk wordlessly, puts his head against his stomach and wraps around him*

tech: *doesn't stop reading as he pats wrecker's shoulder*

• crosshair is always cold so he doesn't actually mind cuddling but he pretends to hate it

• wrecker hates sparring with crosshair cuz he bites

• crosshair has an oral fixation and used to chew on his shirts w/o realizing it

• would get very embarassed/defensive if anyone brought it up

• tech made lula from scrap fabrics courtesy of 99 when wrecker kept having nightmares

• anytime hunter hears crosshair audibly laughing his stomach drops cuz that usually means someone got hurt (he's a physical comedy guy, what can i say?)

• the hardest crosshair has ever laughed is when wrecker, wearing rocket boots made by tech, flew into a wall

• cross and wrecker are the most playful but in different ways

OPENING REQUESTS FOR SOAP AND GHOST FEEL FEEE TO HMU Y'ALL

Hear me out, but imagine living in polygamous relationship with Ghost and Soap – having two military men by your side, guarding you almost like dogs, hellhounds. 

You would be their beloved sweetheart, usually sleeping in the middle, so both of them could feel your warmth and presence. Soap would be a big spoon, his bulky arm wrapping around your waist and pulling you closely. Meanwhile Ghost prefers to sleep “unbothered” most of the time, but if you or Johnny cling to him during the night he doesn’t mind at all. 

Because if you and Soap get needy for Ghost’s affection and tenderness at the same time, he would roll in the middle and cradle both of you to his chest. ❤️

Can you imagine how mind blowing the intimacy would be with them? Everyone’s needs are satisfied: bodies covered in sweat, splayed between the sheets. The heavy breaths filling the room when the bliss of pleasure begins to fade away.

love the idea of taking soldiers to an arcade/carnival. they confidently roll up to every shooting game like "you want the big prize babe?" bonus points if they get a low score and start raving it's inaccurate.

• a classic romantic. he's learnt the art of flirting by watching obi-wan. he's not as shy as many of his siblings when you call him a pet name, instead he becomes satisfied, a confident smirk tugging on his lips. he doesn't like a lot of pda but he'll be giving you heart eyes a lot. like whenever you're talking. he finds wit and intelligence super hot.

fives

• "i'm so proud of you, sugar!"

• fives is confident man who loves being doted on. he doesn't even know the meaning of toxic masculinity. he's the embodiment of that tweet 'my girl's mad at me. i hope i die.' you can call him the most over the top, sugary sweet pet names, and he'll just smile like a doof. if any vode tries to tease him he just responds with "you're just jealous i have a hot partner."

rex

• "your hair is so pretty, treasure."

• since rex means king you wanted to give your man a ~dignified~ pet name. the only affection he's used to comes from older siblings calling him rex'ika and giving him noogies, not this flirting. he definitely runs into a door or trips over himself at one point because of you. fives laughs so hard he winds up doing the same thing. echo records it all and sends it to fox (the king of blackmail.)

wolffe

• "no, sweets, you can't shoot your brother─"

• the vode think you're joking at first. they know wolffe is a good man, deeply loyal and loving, but he's not what one would call sweet. they're even more shocked when his usual scowl is replaced by a soft smile. if you're someone who uses pet names with friends/family, don't use this one for anybody else. wolffe will get huffy and he will not admit why.

why my otp is anakin x therapy 😍

i still can't get over how in the blue shadow virus arc of the clone wars, after a bunch of people were exposed to a dangerous virus, anakin arrived on the planet and ignored both his men (who he is legally responsible for as their commanding officer) and, even worse, ahsoka (his padawan who he is legally responsible for because she is a minor), so that he could run straight to padme's side....

never mind the fact that padme had a hazmat suit for a long while to protect her against the virus, while his men and ahsoka had been exposed for virtually the entire time and were significantly worse off than padme. like padme was still conscious at the time of the rescue, while ahsoka was completely down for the count long before that. never mind the fact that anakin was in contact with them both the entire time and absolutely knew that his padawan was out here struggling ten times more than his wife:

anakin's so absorbed in checking on padme that he doesn't even think to ask about his padawan or his men. it's padme who has to bring up ahsoka, who's being brought in on a different stretcher! only then does he even remember she exists, because even his own padawan is a mere afterthought compared to padme for him!

once she does, anakin does go to ahsoka's side, and he does a good job of reassuring and praising her. when he tries, he can be a pretty good mentor. but that's the key phrase: when he tries. and this episode makes it abundantly clear that if padme is in any amount of danger, even if it's a fraction of the danger that ahsoka is in, he will not try until someone else reminds him.

oh and and all while that's happening, obi-wan is the only one actually sitting with the troops!!!! even though they're anakin's troops!!

anyways prioritizing your wife, an actual adult, over the child in your care who was in significantly more danger, to the point that you have to be reminded of said child's existence, is.... not a great look. it certainly reflects how anakin's fixation on padme has become this all-encompassing thing.

these scenes are all around minute 20 of season 1 episode 18 by the way. check it out yourself, because it's absolutely bonkers.
