Umbra Witch Yuu (Bayonetta x Twisted Wonderland)

will anything stop me from crossing twisted wonderland over with anything? no. do i plan on stopping? no. with that in mind, i was inspired by this post by @twisted-dreamscape! i love bayonetta and seeing an idea for an umbra witch yuu was really cool, so i went and wrote down some stuff on if yuu was an umbra witch! here is what i got!

Umbra Witch Yuu

training under bayonetta with jeanne sometimes coming in and helping

not an umbra witch from bayo’s time, but a modern umbra witch

has not contracted with a demon yet, will be oc inferno demon maybe named madama abyss? i am unsure on this one

will eventually have contracted with the usual bayonetta demons

became an umbra witch due to strong spirit energy that bayo and jeanne took notice of, also she kinda got involved accidentally in a battle with paradiso maybe? because of her strong spirit energy, the angels took notice of her

bayo often takes her to the gates of hell, rodin is fond of her

enzo eventually starts taking orders from her thanks to bayo

probably joins between bayo 1 and bayo 2? or maybe after bayo 2

very shy about the more…mature parts of witch training

she can be confident like bayo but after the moment passes she gets very embarrassed at what she just did

unsure about putting her soul on the line due to a demon’s contract, but ultimately accepts that it’s part of being an umbra witch. seeing how confident and sure of themselves bayo and jeanne are gives her the confidence to search for a contract. plus, she feels that the angels of paradiso ARE a bit full of themselves. just a little

does get into some sort of crisis after realizing that she’s gonna be sent to hell while her parents are in heaven because “oh my gosh my parents are going to flip when they see the moment their daughter’s soul gets flung into hell”. bayo just pats her on the back (note: her parents are already gone)

will probably get her contract during malleus’ overblot

her guns are blue, but not the same color as love is blue. they’re a more lighter blue. maybe the same color as grim’s flames or idia’s hair?

the gun heels take a lot of getting used to as she isn’t used to wearing heels at all. she wonders how bayo and jeanne do it

as the newest and youngest umbra witch, bayo and jeanne teach her everything about their history, not wanting it to be forgotten

is fascinated that her hair can be used to make clothes

is embarrassed that her umbra witch clothes are very form fitting

is even more embarrassed at what happens when an umbra witch summons a demon

she’s deemed magicless because the magic in twisted wonderland is different from umbra witch magic

as the title says, voice lines when they're in battle xD it won't be for everything of course because theres A LOT of them just for battles. i had to go looking to see if anyone documented every line and luckily someone did! this is just me having a little fun figuring out what our twst cast would say say xD though i must say that this is actually a lot now that i finished it...

Octopath Traveler Yuu and Dorm Leader Stories

by stories, i mean what has each of them go on their respective journeys. im replaying octopath traveler 2 again, and i figured i might as well get some sort of solid base for each of the twst traveler's stories xD

riddle's story would most likely be about him chasing down a criminal. as the hunter, he brings order to both the forest and the town. i'll probably have his starting town either be in the leaflands or toto'haha. the criminal could be disturbing the ecosystem wherever they go, and riddle will have none of that. it's the duty of a hunter to keep the ecosystem balanced, to take only what you need

leona's story will be about taking his kingdom back, like hikari. farena has been usurped by a scheming court official and cheka's whereabouts are unknown after the coup. his starting town will be in hinouema. he lost everything and became a thief, planning to one day take back his home

azul's story is about him expanding his business. he's a successful merchant, but on his journey, he'll learn what it means to be a true merchant. kinda going the opposite direction of partitio's story in which a successful merchant will see just how important it is to share and share alike. his starting town will probably be in the brightlands or harborlands

kalim's story is basically the same as agnea's only he's doing it undercover because he's the son of a very wealthy noble family that's comparable to the rondwell family and roque brilliante. his story will differ in the fact that people are looking to take him down both in the world of dancing and in the world of nobles by any means necessary. if azul's starting town is in the brightlands then kalim will be in the harborlands

vil's story will be about finding the source of a poison. he's a traveling apothecary who happened to stumble upon a case of mysterious poisonings. this story might change, but this is what i got for now. his starting town will most definitely be in the winterlands because snow white xD

idia's story will start when ortho forces him to go out and see the world. im not entirely sure what his journey will be though. maybe something like cyrus's story where he'll have to find a missing something. or maybe he gets caught up in something and now he has to go find the mastermind. if riddle is in toto'haha, then idia will be in the leaflands which is ironic because he has not touched grass lol

malleus's story will also be about him seeing the world. im also not too sure what he will do, but i think it would be like a journey to understand people and how to be a good ruler. his starting town will be in the wildlands

finally, yuu's story will probably be similar to temenos's or maybe it'll be more like ophilia's in that its a pilgrimage. maybe going around and teaching about the sacred flame? like a traveling cleric or something. she could encounter people from the moonshade order which would be the beginning of her journey. her starting town is, of course, in the crestlands

and the big question with probably the most obvious answer: who's the protagonist? it's yuu, of course. and the order in which she finds her fellow travelers will be the same order you encounter each dorm in twisted wonderland. so we start off with riddle, then leona, then azul, and so on and so forth.

Congratulations! Your Vulpix evolved into Ninetales!

Moves: Blizzard, Icy Wind, Aurora Beam, Payback

Vulpix evolved into Ninetales during Riddle's Overblot. She is refined, elegant, and graceful, but her feisty nature has not faded in the slightest. Yuu keeps her fur nicely brushed, and Ninetales will not forgive anyone if they ruin her fur. Ninetales is a little sad that she can no longer be carried around by Yuu.

Kenji Trivia

kenji and subaru weren't going to be entirely fleshed out since they were mainly just mentions in "from one wonderland to another" but now that kenji has his own fic now, i decided to come up with some trivia/headcanons for him! xD i might add more but right now, these are the ones i got

we're starting off with him working at the battle subway. ever since he started working there, he's picked up some train lingo. he has to, considering it's needed not just for his position on the battle subway, but in gear station as a whole. however, the train terms sneak in even when he's not at work. subaru is appalled that his big brother might be turning into a train nerd (he's really only appalled on the principle of the thing. kenji can like whatever he wants but oh my arceus my big brother is turning into a train nerd. it's a little sibling thing you know?)

kenji can speak in the ecruteak dialect, as can his other siblings. they picked it up from their mother, who, as i stated in yuu's trivia, is a former kimono girl. however, it usually only comes out when he's angry. ingo, emmet, and the other depot agents had the daylight scared out of them the first time kenji got angry. he was having a rough day thanks to unruly passengers and him spilling his coffee was the last straw. they just suddenly hear this unfamiliar dialect coming from inside the break room and when they peeked in it was kenji sitting at the table, hands on his head and a coffee cup and its spilled contents on the floor. they did their best to cheer him up that day. also, just in case anyone doesn't know, ecruteak city is based off kyoto, so the ecruteak dialect would be kansai-ben!

kenji's the newest and youngest depot agent in gear station but he's integrated with the others very well. his senpai are so glad to have someone well-mannered in their eclectic group

it was actually at the unova league where ingo and emmet first saw kenji. they managed to get some time off to watch the league in person. kenji was a finalist but lost, so he was the runner up, just like in the lily of the valley conference. when they were watching his battle it was like sparks flew. they knew that the had to get him to work at the battle subway. he would be perfect! emmet was practically bouncing in his seat at the prospect and ingo watched the finals with sparkling eyes

including the unova league, kenji has competed in 3 leagues: the lily of the valley conference, the kalos league, and the unova league. of the 3, he won the kalos league. in the lily of the valley conference, he and subaru battled in the semifinals with kenji coming out the winner

after the unova league, kenji was actually starting to wonder if there was more he could do aside from competing in leagues. he loved being a traveling trainer, going to different regions and battling anywhere, but he felt like that there was something else he could do. something that really spoke to him. in come the submas twins with a job offer for the battle subway. at first, kenji was unsure if he should take it. he was honored of course, but it also meant living in an entirely different region from sinnoh. of course, a battle helps blow all uncertainties away, so the twins challenged him to a 2v1 that he actually won, but not without difficulty. it was then that he realized that he wanted to be a challenge to be overcome, and being part of the battle subway was the perfect way to be such a challenge. meanwhile, at the sinnoh battle frontier in the battle castle, darach has a strange, sudden feeling that he missed a big opportunity

hello all! im writing another fic, this time its for legends arceus xD it stars yuu's oldest brother, kenji as the protag instead of the legends arceus protag.

for those who don't know, yuu is the protag for my fic "from one wonderland to another", a twst x pokemon fic. kenji is her oldest brother and he's mentioned throughout the fic. i got this idea that yuu, subaru (the middle brother), and kenji would become what i've been calling them the "isekai siblings" xD all three will get yeeted to different places

In A Twisted Galaxy Far, Far Away...

so when star wars yuu gets isekai'd into twisted wonderland, it happens after order 66. she'll be 16, the same age as the first years so when the clone wars end, she's about 14? so yeah. this is all just disjointed thoughts i've had about this au xD

yuu arrives in twisted wonderland after order 66

i'm thinking she's like cal in that her connection to the force is broken or she's just so scared to use the force that she hides everything about it. she has to, if she doesn't want to be found by the empire

that way, as the story progresses, she'll regain her power step by step. like in fallen order

and i mentioned it in the first twst x star wars post, but yuu's droid, r3-d8, also gets isekai'd so she's not alone. she has a piece of home

when all the blot stuff happens with riddle, yuu gets flashbacks to the dark side and o66. it almost renders her frozen, but she manages to push through it enough with the help of her friends and gets through the battle

she has a lot of explaining to do when it's all over, but she only explains a little bit of it. it's a lot and very traumatizing, so the boys understand when she says she can't share all of it right now

out of all the boys, lilia is the only one who can understand her experiences since he was a soldier himself and fought in a war

having lived through the war and order 66, it takes a while for yuu to get used to school life. ace, deuce, and grim do their best to make her feel at home. this eventually spreads to the rest of the boys and the teachers

it makes her feel like she's back at the jedi temple again, but with troublemaking, mischievous, "i care only about myself" boys who can also be nice instead of jedi. it's bittersweet, but it feels nice to be in such an environment again

the boys have a twinge of darkness in them, but they are also very light. it reminds yuu of mace windu since he also used power from the dark side

the boys do get very surprised as yuu shows them her powers with the force. she doesn't need a magestone? what the hell?? fairies are probably the closest thing they can compare her to, since i think they have a more innate talent for magic

AND SHE CAN HEAL??? THAT'S LIKE SUPER ADVANCED MAGIC AND HER HEALING IS PROBABLY EVEN MORE ADVANCED THAN THAT???? WHAT THE KRIFFIN' KARK

she and silver get along so well because jedi are good with animals and silver is basically a disney princess. the animals love them

also holy shit she has a laser sword (it's called a lightsaber, you uncivilized fools!). sebek and silver are amazed that there's someone else in nrc who's trained in swordplay. they ask her to train with them, but she's afraid she'll cut through their magical pen batons since lightsabers can cut through almost everything. they are disappointed but also "holy shiz she can cut through basically anything with that?"

i also think about the twst boys getting isekai'd instead! in this scenario, they get isekai'd to the beginning of the clone wars and meet a younger yuu and shockingly enough, crowley's counterpart

Twisted Wonderland Star Wars AU

i've recently fallen into star wars and now its my new hyperfixation, and i love crossing over my various fandoms with each other so here's a twst x star wars au. but it's mainly a clone wars one with just crowley and yuu! its not a full blown au, just stuff i've been throwing around in my head

Dire Crowley: Jedi Master

crowley is crowley, the same as ever but he's a jedi master now

he's still the same personality-wise but here he's more of the "this guy does stupid shit and cares a lot about money and saving face, but also he's actually? kind of wise??" you know, the kind of guy who likes money but also actually gives out good life lessons and is also insufferable but loveable in that insufferable way

in the clone wars, he's given the 227th battalion (because you know. there's 22 guys in twst and 7 dorms) to lead, making him general crowley

Yuu Sena (pending last name): Padawan, Commander of the 227th

yuu is going to be crowley's padawan of course

exasperated with her master, but cares for him deeply ("if only your attention for credits extended to doing the flimsiwork, master...)

she loves the 227th very much, and does everything she can to protect and care for them. the clones insist that it should be the other way around, she's their commander after all

she may or may not have a crush on the clone captain

yuu is still in training, but she is quite good at soresu, which she prefers as her main lightsaber form. her goal in protecting her loved ones drive her to having something more defensive

she also has talent in force healing, making the 227th one of the battalions with low casualty rates

R3-D8: Yuu's Astromech Droid

i know theres already been an r3 unit in the clone wars but ssshh

r3 takes the place of grim here, but he doesn't have grim's personality

loyal and resourceful, yuu can count on him to help her pilot her ship. she's ok at flying, but struggles at times

the name and numbers are actually a nod to ramshackle having 3 students and being the 8th dorm. 3 students being that if yuu were to get isekai'ed, r3 would be isekai'd with her. including grim, you would get 3 students for ramshackle

A Cleric in a Twisted Wonderland (Octopath Traveler AU) - Everything the Light Touches

Leona scowled. He came to the botanical gardens to skip class and take his usual nap, but as soon as he reached his spot, he saw that it had an intruder.

An intruder in the form of his Solistian counterpart, Leo.

In order to distinguish them, nicknames had been given to the Solistian dorm leader counterparts. Needless to say, there was an argument over which side got the nicknames: the NRC Dorm Leaders or the Solistian counterparts. Both sides wanted to be called by their own names, but Yuu had put a stop to their arguing, stating that she would give the nicknames in order to appease them.

Which is how her Leona Kingscholar got the nickname of Leo.

Leo's ear twitched and he opened one eye. Upon seeing that it was his Twisted Wonderland counterpart, he yawned and rolled over to his side, propping his head up with his hand.

"Oh, it's just you. Sorry, but this spot is taken. Better find somewhere else to take a nap," he said.

Leona's scowl deepened, and he crossed his arms, tail swishing in annoyance.

"This is my spot, in case you didn't know," he growled. "You go find somewhere else to sleep."

Leo rolled over again to face him. "Oh? No one was here, and I don't see your name anywhere here. Isn't this garden for all the students? I say that it's fair game where I choose to take a nap."

He smirked a familiar smirk, irking Leona even more. That was his smirk, and seeing it in his counterpart was irritating.

"Tch, dealing with you is just as annoying as dealing with Ruggie, or even my brother," he complained, a hand on his forehead.

The smirk on Leo's face suddenly disappeared at the mention of Farena.

"....Your brother?" he asked quietly.

"Ah? Yeah, my brother. What, do you not have an older brother like I do?"

Leo laid back down, putting his hands behind his head.

"....Yeah, I don't have one," he answered.

It was Leona's turn to have a smirk on his face.

"Heeh? How lucky you are."

".......Not anymore, at least," Leo whispered.

And then like Leo, the smirk on Leona's face disappeared.

"...What?"

Leo glanced up at him before gesturing for him to lie down next to him. Leona stared before complying, mirroring the way Leo was laying down.

There was silence between them for a moment, and Leona was contemplating on just going to sleep when Leo spoke.

"You should probably go and see his face at least," he said.

Leona glanced at him. Leo didn't return it. It was out of character for him to be saying that he should see Farena. Leo was just like him in every way, and if he has Farena as an older brother, then he should dislike going to see him like he did.

"You never know when it'll be the last time you see it."

".....What happened?"

Leo sat up and Leona followed suit. The former's face twisted slightly in anger, his hand curling up into a fist. The memory of what happened to his Farena brought up unpleasant thoughts.

"He was usurped."

"What...?!"

Leona turned to him in shock, unable to believe what he just heard. His counterpart looked at him, this time a weak smirk on his face.

"Heh, and not by me, mind you. By someone else. A lowly court official who had been planning this for years."

Hesitantly, Leona asked the question. "What happened to Farena?"

Leo turned away and looked down at the grass. "Dead."

Ice filled Leona's entire body at the word. Farena? Dead? That couldn't be. That stupid older brother of his was strong, as much as he hated to admit it. Strong, charismatic, and kind. He couldn't imagine such a person disappearing from his life like that. Sure he had thoughts about taking the throne for himself, but in the end, he never went through with them.

Usurping and killing Farena just wasn't something he could do.

"....And Cheka?"

"Alive, thank Aeber." Leo put a hand on his face, relief visible on his body.

Relief replaced the ice, and Leona relaxed a little. Again, as much as he hated to admit it, he loved the little brat.

"That's why you should go and see his face every once in a while," Leo said, looking him straight in the eye. "If you're like me, I know how you feel about him. If he's killed like my Farena was, I know that you'll be feeling every regret I have. Don't be like me."

Leona stared back before nodding slowly. He knew he was speaking the truth. Leo smiled a small smile and pat him on the shoulder before lying back down.

"Are you going to get your revenge?" Leona asked expectantly.

Reunited Siblings

i mentioned a while back that i was writing a little scene about what if yuu's brothers fell into twisted wonderland. here it is, but it's really short and there isn't much to it aside from just her brother wondering where the heck he is xD i didn't want it to be too long so here we are

“Ouch! Ah, ow…what just happened…?”

A bespectacled man picked himself off the ground he suddenly found himself faceplanted in. He looked around and found that he was in an unfamiliar forest.

“What…I was just in Gear Station a moment ago! Am I dreaming? No…landing on my face definitely hurt. Then how…is it a Psychic-type Pokemon’s doing…?”

He pat himself down, noting that he was still in his uniform and that all six of his pokeballs were on his belt. He had everything he had on him when he was still at work. Taking one ball off his belt, he pressed the button to let it grow to full size before throwing it in the air.

“Corviknight, please come out!”

The ball released a beam of light that quickly formed into the Raven Pokemon. He gave a cry before landing in front of his trainer, looking around curiously. The man pet his beak.

“Can you do me a favor? Can you fly above this area and see if we’re somewhere on Route 5 or 16? Those are the only places nearby that have forested areas. I think a Psychic-type Pokemon is playing a prank on me and teleported me from Gear Station to wherever this is.”

“Cor!”

Corviknight nodded and flew up into the air, scanning the area around them. However, he soon found that the surrounding area looked nothing like Route 5 or 16, rather, they seemed to be in an entirely new place. There was what looked to be a big castle nearby with several smaller buildings surrounding it. He flew back down to his trainer.

“How does it look?” the man asked. “Are we anywhere on Route 5 or 16?”

Corviknight shook his head and let out an unsure caw. The man furrowed his brow in concern.

“No, huh? How troubling…are there any buildings nearby?”

The Raven Pokemon nodded and pointed with his wing the direction of the big castle. His trainer hummed before nodding to himself.

“Alright then, lead the way. I’ll ask whoever we come across where this is and hopefully get back home or maybe even to Gear Station.”

Corviknight took flight, leading his trainer out of the woods and towards the castle. A few moments later, the man emerged from the woods, finding the castle that Corviknight had seen as well as a rather shabby building.

“W-Wha? A castle? Am I in Kalos?!” he exclaimed as Corviknight landed next to him.

Just then, the door to the shabby building opened and the man couldn’t believe who came out.

Yuu opened the door to Ramshackle’s backyard to let out her Pokemon so they could play.

However, when she saw who was outside, she froze, eyes wide. She rubbed her eyes, wondering if they were playing tricks on her, but what she was seeing was real. Her hands flew to her mouth and the man’s name spilled out from behind them.

“Kenji…?”

y'know, i'm really digging these little scenes that pop into my head. i usually kept my little scenarios in my head because i didn't feel confident in my writing, but this is fun xD

Azul stared hard at the man who had his arm wrapped around Yuu's shoulders. He had his face, his hair, and even the same beauty mark as him. It was like staring into a mirror with the only difference being that the other was wearing different clothes, and even then the style was the same.

A nice suit, a coat over his shoulders, a hat on his head, silver-rimmed glasses.

Azul stared at his counterpart, gritting is teeth as he pulled Yuu closer to him.

"So let me get this right," his counterpart started. "We're in a different world and these guys are us in this world?"

The other six men with him glanced at each other, sharing both unsure and contemplative looks. Those six men also looked exactly like the Night Raven College Dorm Leaders who were also with Azul.

Riddle looked shocked at seeing another one of himself, wondering if Cater's Unique Magic somehow activated on him.

The two Leonas stared at each other, sizing the other up.

Azul continued to stare hard at his counterpart, who currently had a small, smug smirk on his face.

Off to the side, the two Kalims circled each other excitedly, probably the only ones super excited about the situation.

Like the two Leonas, the two Vils sized each other up, letting out a small huff.

Idia, who surprisingly showed up, nervously stared at his counterpart, who was currently hiding behind Yuu.

Malleus and his counterpart stared at each other in amusement, intrigued by the other's appearance.

"T-This is a strange turn of events," the Solistian Riddle spoke.

"Haha, considering that Yuu didn't go missing while we were camping, it's probably safe to assume that no time has passed at all from when she was first taken to this world," Solistian Malleus surmised.

"H-Hiiiee...I don't think I can handle another one of you guys..." Solistian Idia said, trembling behind Yuu.

Solistian Vil sighed. "Honestly, we've been traveling together for how long? Get used to it already."

Kalim turned to the others excitedly. "Let's throw a welcome party for them! It's probably going to take a while to find a way back to their world, right? Let's make them feel welcome!"

Solistian Kalim laughed. "Oooh, nice idea, me! I'll put on a show for the party! I guarantee my dancing will get you dancing, too!"

Leona sighed, putting a hand on his forehead. His ear twitched in irritation. "How about no?"

Solistian Leona's tail swished in irritation. "Great. Another thing to add to my plate. Haaah, I just want to take a nap."

In the middle of it all, Yuu stood there half in shock and half in nervousness. With the appearance of her friends in Twisted Wonderland, she had a feeling that things were about to get much, much, more chaotic.

"Azul..." she started.

"Yes, Yuu?" Both Azuls turned to her in response, and she giggled nervously.

"Haha, I-I mean my Azul," she corrected herself.

Solistian Azul's smug smirk grew, and Azul grit his teeth harder. Frustration continued to build up in him when his counterpart drew her closer, eliciting a squeak from her as she put a hand on his chest to balance herself.

"Yes, Yuu? Your Azul is listening," he said happily.

"A-Azul! P-Please let go!" she squeaked. "W-We need to go tell the headmaster about this!"

"Ah, the headmaster of this school, yes? Let us be off then!"

Without listening to her protests, he slid his arm from her shoulders to her waist and proceed to walk past the dorm leaders. Like Azul, they were glaring holes into the arm wrapped around Yuu's waist. Likewise, the Solistian boys looked annoyed, but followed him.

Yuu looked back at the boys worriedly. She just knew something was going to happen and that she was going to be in the middle of it all.

"O Aelfric....please lend me your strength..."

A Cleric in a Twisted Wonderland (Octopath Traveler AU) - Let's Make a Deal

i thought it'd be fun to write the scene where yuu signs azul's contract in book 3 for my cleric yuu. i might write more of these little scenes if im in the mood for it uwu

Yuu looked around the VIP room in wonder. There were a lot of things that were new to her in this world and the entirety of the Octavinelle Dorm and the Mostro Lounge were among them. She had no idea that an entire building could be underwater or that you could bring the sea indoors with such a large aquarium. Not to mention that this VIP room looks like it would have no problem looking like it belonged to the famous tycoon, Roque Brilliante. It didn't help that Azul would definitely get along with him.

It seemed that no matter what world she was in, Azul was still the same as ever. The same went for Jade and Floyd, and even Jack, who was sitting next to her.

She focused her gaze back to the man sitting in front of her. He looked the same as her Azul with the exception of the clothes he wore, and even then the style was similar. Both Azuls wore a nice suit with a coat hanging off their shoulders and a hat. Even the business smile he wore was the same.

"So, what would you like to discuss with me?" he asked.

"I wanted to ask you if you'd be willing to take those anemones off everybody's heads," she replied.

Azul chuckled, that smile of his never leaving his face.

"Hahaha! Goodness me. That's quite the demand to make right out of the gate," he said. "You would ask me to release all 225 students from their contracts with me?"

Jack jumped in his seat, shocked. "You bamboozled that many people?! That's nuts!"

Yuu sighed. As expected of Azul. He could rope anyone into a contract with his silver tongue.

"Yes, well, Jade and Floyd did a bit of proactive market outreach this year." His smile grew wider. "Thanks to that, I've had no shortage of clients ready to strike up deals with me."

He looked her in the eyes.

"Now, Yuu -- as for your request to free those students..."

He went on to explain that the students went into his contracts willingly and that the terms were fair, but Yuu knew better. And even better than that, she knew how to deal with him. Journeying with his Solistia counterpart made her wise to all his tricks.

She did wish she could see the kind side of him in this world, though. He's so sweet when he wasn't looking to rope people into contracts.

"Then what kind of deal do you want to make with me?" she asked, as he finished talking.

Jack whipped around to her. "Wait, what?! Have you lost it?!"

A familiar sparkle appeared in Azul's eyes, and Yuu knew she had him interested.

"Oho. You want to make a deal with me?" He leaned forward, elbows on his knees as he laced his fingers together. "Now there's an interesting proposal."

Behind him, Floyd laughed. "Ahaha! Little Shrimpy's got some guts!"

"I do have to say that I have been interested in talking to you," Azul continued. "I've heard tales of your rather wondrous healing abilities from other students."

Yuu furrowed her brows. As she understood it, Azul's contracts in this world were unique. If both parties agreed to the terms, then he could actually take people's magic away. If he was bringing up her healing magic then...

"'And the gods did give their messengers flame to light the way forward,'" she recited, cutting him off.

Azul blinked, looking bewildered at being cut off. A rare sight. The other boys in the room looked just as confused. What was she talking about?

"As a cleric of the Order of the Sacred Flame, I cannot, in good conscience, give away the flame that was given to me by the gods," she explained. "We are to use that to light the way forward for others. If you are interested in using my healing magic as part of the contract, then you'll have to consider something else."

The bewilderment lingered on the Octavinelle boys' faces, and she smiled gently at them.

"I'm used to this kind of thing," she said. "Is there anything else I have that interests you?"

Azul pursed his lips behind his hands. She was a clever one it seemed. He would have to be careful around her, but something bothered him.

The way Yuu looks at him...it was like she was seeing an old friend again. It felt like she could see right through him.

Why was that?

"Well, I can't possibly impose on your beliefs then," he said carefully. "Let's see what else you have that interested me."

A Cleric in a Twisted Wonderland (Octopath Traveler AU)

octopath hyperfixation go brrr i needed to write something and here it is xDDDD

Yuu stood there, frozen in place as she watched a fire cait set the room she was in ablaze. Her hands tightened around her staff. Suddenly waking up in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people had her head spinning.

Where was this Twisted Wonderland? It wasn't marked on any map of Solistia she's seen.

A familiar voice spoke up amongst the chaos.

"Leave it to me, Headmaster Crowley!"

One of the hooded boys in the crowd stood up, heeding Crowley's order to get the fire cait under control. He may have been wearing a hood, but Yuu knew that charismatic voice anywhere.

"A-Azul...?"

What was he doing here, wearing that strange robe in this strange place? The last time she saw him, he and the rest of the travelers had all just settled in for the night in their camp. Did he know what was going on?

One by one, she could hear familiar voices within the crowd.

Riddle, Leona, Kalim, Vil, Idia.

Idia's voice seemed to be coming from some strange, flat metal tablet. She couldn't make out Malleus' voice, unfortunately. Was he not here along with the others?

Riddle and Azul had taken care of the fire cait and it was soon kicked out. She felt a little sorry for it, but was too focused on trying to get to her friends.

"You guys--"

"Now, young lady, while that raccoon wasn't your familiar, you can't bring your own magical weapons to the campus! Not only is it not allowed on campus, but I am very sure it isn't legal! Students of Night Raven College are only allowed to wield magical pens."

Crowley held out a hand, indicating for her to give her staff to him. She hugged it closer to her.

"S-Sir, this staff was given to me by the pontiff of the church. Besides, I think there is a big misunderstanding here! I am not enrolled in any school, I'm a cleric of the Order of the Sacred Flame!" she cried.

"Order of the...Yuu, this is no time for games," Crowley reprimanded her.

"Whoa, is this girl roleplaying a cleric irl?" Idia wondered. "Heeh, not only is she one of the rare girl students, but she roleplays irl, too."

"Hmph, whatever she's doing, she has already broken the rules," Riddle huffed.

"Hm...it's strange though," Azul said. "You did hear what the Dark Mirror said, right? That she had no magic and yet there was some strange power in her."

Leona crossed his arms. "....."

Vil tapped a finger on his chin. "I wonder what the headmaster will do."

Crowley sighed and shook his head. "Students, please head to your dorms."

Yuu furrowed her brows in concern as she saw her friends give her a curious look before heading out of the room. Did they not know it was her? She knows her hood is down, so they should've known it was her standing in front of them.

With the students gone, Crowley put his hands on his hips.

"Now, young lady, you are to hand over that staff. I will hand it over to the proper authorities after I get you sent back home," he said.

"Proper authorities...? Sir, I am an authorized cleric from the church. Staves are vital for us to help heal the people and for combat defense," Yuu argued.

"Heal...? You know healing spells?" Crowley asked, surprised.

"Of course," she replied. "As a cleric, I must train my healing magic in order to look after people."

Crowley put a hand on his chin. "You know healing magic at such a young age? Incredible...!"

Despite the situation, Yuu puffed up her chest proudly. All her training was worth it if she could help ease people's pain.

"In any case, please don't take my staff from me. Instead, please tell me where I am. I still don't understand how I came to be here. I have never heard of this Twisted Wonderland anywhere in Solistia," she said.

"Solistia? Now that's a place I haven't heard of before," Crowley said.

Both of them looked at the other in confusion, with Crowley suddenly having a bad feeling about this. He turned to the Dark Mirror.

"Dark Mirror, please send Yuu back to Solistia!" he chanted.

The mask in the mirror remained unresponsive. Crowley opened his mouth to repeat himself when the mask spoke.

"It does not exist."

Suddenly, Yuu felt a sinking feeling in her stomach.

"What? How can that be?!" Crowley cried.

"H-How...but I was just there with my friends! They were also brought here!"

Crowley whipped around to her. "What?"

"I saw them! I saw Riddle, Leona, Azul, Kalim, and Vil, but I don't know where Idia and Malleus are. I did hear Idia's voice from some strange device, but I didn't see Malleus anywhere."

Crowley's eyes nearly bugged out behind his mask.

Did she just say Malleus' name so casually?! Not only that, she knew every dorm leader's name! What was going on here?

Yuu felt faint, putting a hand on her forehead as she used her staff to support herself.

"Oh, Aelfric, please have mercy."

"....Yuu, exactly who are you?" Crowley asked.

She looked up at him.

"I am Yuu Ishikawa. As I said, I'm a cleric of the Order of the Sacred Flame, who worships Aelfric the Flamebringer. I'm on an important journey with seven friends of mine."

Octopath Dorm Leader Themes + Yuu

i am not a composer and i dont play any instruments so this is all just headcanons. and also i'm not an expert on music x'D you know how each traveler has their own theme? well, the dorm leaders would also have their own themes

yuu's theme would be the ramshackle theme but more like the guest room version. like, it's lighter. it'll probably have melodies from various disney princess songs. main instrument is the flute and sounds like ophilia's theme

riddle's theme would be the heartsabyul theme with melodies from "painting the roses red". main instrument would maybe be the flute too? not sure. but his theme sounds like a fantasy alice in wonderland song

leona's would be the savanaclaw theme with melodies from "be prepared". main instrument would be cello? i was listening to osvald's them and thought that the cello would be good to fit leona's story here. would sound vengeful like osvald's theme but also hopeful like hikari's theme

azul's theme would be the octavinelle theme with melodies from "poor unfortunate souls". main instrument would be piano and sound jazzy

kalim's theme would be the scarabia dorm theme with melodies from either "a whole new world" or "prince ali". maybe both. main instrument would be violin probably? and it'll sound desert-y like primrose's theme

vil's theme would be the pomefiore theme, but i dont think any song from snow white would fit as cameo melodies...i took a look at the scene where the evil queen turns into the old hag, but i dont think the music that plays during it is a good fit. maybe melodies from "i'm wishing" or "someday my prince will come" but like...darker??? unsure. main instrument would be harpsichord and sound like a waltz

idia's theme would be the ignihyde theme with melodies from "the gospel truth ii", since hades himself doesn't have a villain song. main instrument would be electric guitar and sound like a tech song turned fantasy

malleus' theme would be the diasomnia theme with melodies from "once upon a dream" because of course uwu. you'd think it'd sound dark, but it actually sounds pretty hopeful since his story is about seeing the world. think agnea and tressa's themes

and of course all these themes would be remixed for the themes that play before the boss battles xD
