Feels like I am in the minority here, because I absolutely loved the casting for the new Golden Trio, especially Hermione’s cast choice. I think she looks so cute and I definitely picture Hermione in her. Saying this as a potterhead, books and movies fan.

The ones concerned about her not looking like Hermione have just been used to picturing the character as Emma Watson, and that’s okay, but it’s fair to remember that in the books, Hermione’s physical appearance doesn’t go beyond describing her hair texture and eye color (correct me if i am wrong).

I watched a few clips of Arabella Stanton’s theatre performances and she does have some Hermione charisma in her. I am excited to see what comes of this new adaptation (even though I do stand with the crowd that claims this adaptation was not necessary).

SOTR casting directors after disappearing for weeks with no casting updates just to come back online and drop the new batch of an outstanding cast.

I am so heartily grateful to whoever was hired for the job of casting for Haymitch, Lenore and Maysilee . It is refreshing to see new faces for major roles, and it just made me more excited for next year (the movie release).

I am (🤏🏼) this close to hopping on Amazon and buying the collectors edition of The Silmarillion. (I don’t have any physical copy of Tolkien’s works yet).

I haven’t even read any of Tolkien’s works yet (I know, it should be a crime coming from someone whose favorite genre is fantasy) and I want to read Beren and Lúthien and The Silmarillion immediately, they are summoning me. But readers recommend starting with The Hobbit, and then TLOTR trilogy, which I am very excited about, but I am more excited about the LORE!

Everyone reading ‘Sunrise on the Reaping’ and then there is unfortunate me, who started THG just a couple days ago. 🤡

I’ll be dodging all social media book-related posts until I am done with the trilogy and SOTR. Wish me luck, and hopefully I won’t ugly cry as much as readers are promising me.
