you: give bokuto his phone back. get back to practice. bye.
<bokuto3: LOVE OF MY LIFE
<bokuto3: NO Y/N PLEASE I MISS YOU SO MUCH DON'T GO
you pocket your phone with a sigh, ignoring the way it continually buzzes with with messages and spam texts, probably just of atsumu professing his undying love for you and grovelling. pretty standard of him after an argument so intense that you had to walk out on before things escalated to places you would regret.
you can't deny that you miss him too, and it's been less than 24 hours since you saw him last.
in fact, you literally saw him this morning when sending him off to practice with a grumbled 'have a good practice' after he kissed over your forehead with a lightness rivalling a feather. a gentleness typically unseen from him.
really, the blond setter was just terrified of irritating you further.
then when you got up half an hour later, you're not pleased to see how atsumu was spamming you with messages, all conveying the messages he was scared of saying earlier. things like 'i love you', 'can't wait to go home to you', or 'did you see the photo of osamu's cat i sent'.
it's sweet, really; he is, but when you're still a little hurt from the harsh exchange you had last night, you didn't want him blowing up your phone this early in the morning.
so your only solution for a peaceful morning was to block him apparently.
something that clearly did not sit well with him because he then started spamming your socials and your emails with protests. did he not have practice to get to? where was all this time coming from?
you blocked him on those platforms too from the goodness of your heart because you had a feeling that he was skipping warmup in order to text you. if he pulled a muscle during practice, you don't want to begin imagining what a pain he'd be to look after.
glancing around the park you were currently strolling through to clear your mind, you only get a second to breathe when your phone starts buzzing again. this time, with a call notification from bokuto.
picking up, you immediately assume that it's atsumu who is bothering you after suffering the blows of how hard you've been ghosting him.
"atsumu for the love of-"
you're cut off of your own sentence when you hear somewhat muffled voices in the background.
"damn you messed up big time!" comes hinata's bubbly voice. you can indistinctly hear someone agreeing in the background- bokuto?
"stop rubbing it in!" atsumu exclaims, whining. you can picture him in your head right now, slouching against the wall as he deflates with each reminder of his mistake.
bokuto must have pocket-dialed you. you're about to hang up until you hear:
"how about you stop being miserable? your relationship with y/n will be fine as long as you apologise, this isn't the end of the world," lectures sakusa.
"for you maybe! ah already feel like y/n's slipping away from my grasp," cries your boyfriend. "and y/n is my world. so really, it does feel like the end of the world."
"you know what they say. love kills," mutters bokuto.
"literally no one has ever said that," sakusa deadpans.
"someone's probably said it."
"well if love does kill can it hurry up with atsumu?"
the dark-haired's simple statement makes you laugh, one that bursts suddenly before you have to cover your mouth from shame, hoping that it didn't disturb anyone.
"hey!" atsumu huffs before you can hear him groan dramatically again. except something's telling you that this isn't for show. "can't ya show a little sympathy to the guy who is having the worst time of his life? my partner doesn't even want to talk to me! i might as well rot right here and now."
"don't do that!" protests bokuto. "i'm sure y/n isn't as mad as you think. just talk to-"
"-what do you think i've been doing this whole time? i've been grovelling-"
"-no, you've been a bitch. i don't think telling y/n to 'text you back' counts as a proper apology."
the setter 'hmphs' and you can imagine the way he's crossing his arms. atsumu never did lose that immature side of him, but he tries, and you adore him for it. "is proclaiming my love not enough?"
"you can say 'i love you' to everyone, idiot, and you can confess your undying adoration for y/n any time. you do it on a regular basis anyways, atsumu, you don't need to double down on it just because you had an argument-"
"-but i'm scared that y/n will forget!"
the blond's outburst stuns everyone into silence. you hear a sniffle.
"what if i'm not worth the time? sometimes i get really scared that y/n might pack up and leave me because there's someone better out there. someone more patient and less of a hassle?"
it's so painfully silent, but each word that atsumu mutters is like a knife to your heart. how long has he felt this way?
hinata is the first to break the awkwardness. "c'mon man, you're literally high school sweethearts. i don't think you have anything to worry about."
"yeah, you're being silly right now, tsum-tsum!" bokuto agrees. "after all this time together, i think y/n has a reason to stay with you!"
"apart from my dashing good looks?"
"stupidity is temporary. get better soon," sakusa grumbles.
"omi-omi you're so mean!"
you hang up the call when you hear atsumu's chirpy tone again, unable to stop a smile from appearing on your own face. so long as he was happy, you were too.
that's what happens when you're soulmates, you suppose.
it's the same soulmate bond responsible for the fact that you were currently waiting outside the gym where msby practices were held, impatiently leaning against a small pole as you pass time on your phone.
then, just as you look up to check if anyone has left the building, your heart stops at the sight of a familiar faux-blond, animatedly chatting to one of his teammates. but when he meets your gaze, it takes him less than a fraction of a second to charge towards you.
instead of bracing for impact, you open your arms for him to tackle into, an offer he takes immediately.
as you both stumble backwards from the momentum, atsumu revels in your laughter and cherishes the feeling he gets knowing that everything is okay between you two. you chose to greet him after practice, you chose to go the somewhat inconvenient route all the way to his gym, you chose him and he hopes you never consider another option again.
and you won't. atsumu loves too hard and too well, warming you from the inside out to defrost any pain the coldness of life might leave you with. although he sometimes gets insecure about this overbearing trait of his, you get to show him each time just how beautiful it is; to wear your heart on your sleeve and love the world for what it is.
to love you for who you are.
"i'm sorry," he begins. "for what ah said last night, i was a real dick."
you smile. "well if you're really sorry, you'd let me take you out for some food, right?"
"only if it's your favourite."
"okay, sap. let's go then."
you think you hear atsumu whisper a 'thank you for letting me love you' before pulling him away.

Fantastic Mr Fox | Aggie Beever-Jones x reader
Word Count: 2.1k Summary: she's a cute girl and has impeccable movie taste Warnings: injuries, nothing else really. guys i love fantastic mr fox and wes anderson films, i have since i was like 4, so i love this fic. Request for - @realsociadadferminofan
Finally joining a team after being in their academy was something so unnecessarily terrifying. Joining a team after being in their rival’s academy, was possibly 10x worse.
Joining Chelsea from the Arsenal W.F.C. Academy was somewhat of an ultimate act of treason. I got DMs from Arsenal fans insulting me and calling me a traitor, ‘you’re not good enough anyway’. DMs from Chelsea fans were predominantly kinder, but I did receive a few ‘you don’t deserve to be here’ messages.
I had been sent on loan to Chelsea last season, straight out of the academy, which had been more accepted because it was seen as something I didn’t have a choice in. Now that I had officially signed with the Blues? Life was harder than it should be. I’m not particularly close with anyone yet, not thinking I was going to be staying around long enough for them to matter, and I’m having to compete to even play because of the diverse skills and experience of our players.
I met Aggie on the first day of training. I wasn’t expecting the number of new players that had joined me in signing over the summer or after the World Cup, and it was severely intimidating.
The person I could claim to be the closest to, was Niamh, which in turn meant I was some-what friends with Jessie, but the roommates had yet to arrive by the time I walked into the locker room, searching for my locker and number which had now been changed due to the apparent must for Mia Fishel to be 2 if she signed. I think I cried about it the day I found out. I had been number 2 since I was 4, clumsily kicking a ball around on horrid grass under gloomy skies, and I was forced to just give it away.
“You’re not number 2?” an unknown voice perks up beside me as I plonk down at my new cubby, the number ‘32’ looming over my head.
I turn to my left, and see a rather well put together blond, lacing up her boots. A new face, but seemingly kind. I tilt my head to the side as she looks up, having not answered the question.
“Sorry, I’ve followed you for a while. You’re always 2, aren’t you? You were last season.”
“Oh… I had to um, give it up. Mia made it a requirement to be number 2 if she signed. Didn’t even give me an option.”
“That’s pretty unfair, it’s special to you. I’m Agnes by the way. Everyone calls me Aggie.” She reaches out her hand for me to shake, which I gently do.
“Like from Fantastic Mr Fox! I’m Y/N.” I smile softly at her as I lace up my own boots.
“You know Fantastic Mr Fox?”
“It’s the best movie ever!”
“Right?!” she then pauses.
“Hey, so I don’t really know anyone here… could I stick with you?” Aggie rocks back and forth on the balls of her feet as she asks the question.
“For sure! I’m not super close with anyone yet, well I’m sort of close with Niamh and Jessie, but I’d love to stick together.” I hop up from my seat and begin to walk along side Aggie as we approach the field, the meeting room seemingly deserted to instead focus on introduction games that tie to our warmup.
~~~~~
It takes a month for me to realise I have a crush on Aggie. Neither of us having anything to do during the October/November international break except train while ¾ of the squad were out, meant a lot of time pretty much one on one. I tell Niamh straight away, the girl having become somewhat of a big sister to me, and she laughs and tells me most of the team already figured.
“Emma loves pairing you up to watch you stumble and blush.”
“What the fuck?!” the call doesn’t last much longer, as Aggie comes to collect me for our gym session, in which I am a very poor spotter for the girl as I gawk and blush as she rolls up her sleeves and lifts the weights.
~~~~~
Now a month after that, I’m sitting out altogether due to spraining my calcaneal tendon in the Champions League game against Madrid.
“This fucking suucks. Fuck Athenea. We were going to play our first ever game at Stamford Bridge together” Aggie pouts, leaning of the fence as I hobble into the seats behind the subs bench, plopping down next to Millie and Guro.
“I know. You have to score for me pretty please. And do a knee slide and give a heart when you get it.” I gingerly smile at her, and she dramatically rolls her eyes.
“Your wish is my command princess.” She jokingly gives a bow.
My mouth gaps open and closed and I feel my face burn as it’s overcome by a deep shade of red. Aggie chuckles and says goodbye before she heads back to the locker room, getting ready to start the game.
“You are down so fucking bad.” Millie teases and Guro hums in agreement.
“Am not!”
“She called you princess and you malfunctioned. It’s like your brain shuts down. You should ask her out.”
“What?! No way! She does not like me back.” The captain and the Norwegian stare at me, blinking once as their mouths drop open, scarily in sync.
“Man, if you can’t see how much she likes you, there is no hope.” Guro chuckles and turns back to the game that’s about to start.
Aggie scores in the 23rd minute. A pass from LJ sets her up and she easily puts the ball in the net. And as promised, she smoothly slides on her knees, making a heart with her hands as she glides along. She moves to take her place as they set up to start again but stops briefly and points to me with a toothy grin. It’s a small gesture to show who the goal was for, and I make a little heart in return.
“Okay! I’m fucked! Millie what do I do?” I frantically turn to the girls next to me as the whistle blows, the game continuing.
“You have to sweet talk her and like offer her your jacket or something. Honestly, she already likes you so don’t change your personality. That’s important. You got that? No changing yourself.” Millie pokes my chest.
“Aye aye captain.” I solute her before Guro adds on.
“And when you ask her out on a date, make sure it’s something you’ll both actually enjoy. Like you both love that weird fox movie, so watch that together or something.”
“Fantastic Mr Fox is much more than ‘that weird fox movie’. It’s the pinnacle of film. Wes Anderson is a fucking genius.” Guro raises her hand in fake surrender.
“Sorry.”
“But you’re right, that is a great idea. W- when do I ask her?”
“After the game.” The two older women simultaneously stress that it’s imperative I do it soon.
We win 5-1, and I rush as quickly as one can with crutches, onto the pitch to congratulate the team. I hug Niamh and LJ, talk to Emma, meet pretty much everyone, before I get to Aggie. She stands off to the side, talking to Sam and Guro, the latter spotting me and pulling Sam away to talk to god knows where.
Aggie is conveniently missing a jacket, so as I approach her, I shed my own and hold it out to her.
“You’re going to freeze.” She refuses, but I push it toward her again.
“Aggie, you’re shivering, take the coat.” Her fingers graze gently against mine and my stomach swells, my breath hitches.
“Thanks.”
“Hey… would you, maybe, you can say no, like to, I don’t know-”
“Spit it out.” She nudges me and giggles.
“Do you want to go on a date?” I rush out, avoiding looking her in the eyes, fearful of her rejection.
It’s silent. Well Aggie is silent.
“Forget i-”
“Yes. I really would like to go on a date with you.”
“Yeah?”
“Absolutely. What did you have in mind?”
~~~~~
“Now I've already had too much to drink, and I'm feeling sentimental, but I'm going to say something anyway, which nobody wants to admit, but I think is probably true: we beat 'em.” I glance at Aggie out of the corner of my eye, and I catch her wiping away a tear.
“Are you crying?”
“Nuh uh.”
“I cry 90% of the time during this speech it’s ok.” My hand inches toward Aggie’s that rests between us.
“It’s not even inherently sad Y/n. I’m just a baby.” She pouts at me as a single tear rolls down her cheek.
I take her hand, slotting my fingers between her’s. I wait for her to retract but she squeezes my hand, running her thumb against the back of it. I then turn my head, my eyes meeting her’s. The hazy blue irises bore into my own, drawing me closer. My other hand lifts to hold her cheek.
“Can I kiss you?” Aggie nods once and I lean in, our lips locking in a gentle kiss.
“Will you be my girlfriend?” her warm breath hits my lips, our foreheads pressed together. I respond by kissing her again.
~~~~~
We walk into training together. Not an unusual sight. The only difference is the short kiss we share before I turn on my crutches to head to the physio to have a check-up on my ankle. I’m stopped as I reach the locker-room doorway.
“No fucking way! You did it!” Millie comes barrelling toward me, wrapping an arm loosely around my neck in a headlock and ruffling my hair with the other.
I hear Aggie laugh and I jokingly glare back at her.
“Yes I did. Thanks to you. And Guro giving me the date idea by dissing Fantastic Mr Fox.”
“Guro what?!” Aggie exclaims. I smile and bid her goodbye.
~~~~~
“YOU’RE BACK!” I stumble as I catch Aggie on my back, the girls around us smiling and giggling as Emma sends a playful glare.
“Miss me? I was only gone a week.” Emma quickly separates us into pairs for a training exercise.
“More like forever. Why does your extended family live in Glasgow?” She takes a hold of my hand as we wait to be given a ball.
“My abuelita loves you if that makes you feel any better. And she’s never met you. It took her months to warm up to my sister’s husband.”
“Mmm, that does make me feel better, but a kiss would definitely help.” She perks her lips and I lean on my tippy toes to press my lips to her’s.
“Get a room!” Niamh calls out from across the field and I blush, hiding my face in Aggie’s neck as she wraps an arm around me. Everyone laughs before Emma sternly tells us to focus.
~~~~~
The time is slowly running out, we’re tied 1-1 and I get subbed on for Sam, joining Aggie on the front line. The 20 or so seconds tick down on the big screen as I run down the pitch, chasing Aggie, calling for the ball. She takes a shot on the goal but I notice the ball veering off course and rush forward. I jump, head making contact with the ball and body making contact with the goalkeeper before I fall to the ground.
I hear the crowd cheer but don’t move. My head aches but pain radiates across my shoulder and down my back. The whistle doesn’t blow even as I cry out, only once the final seconds pass. I feel hands pat my head, assuming I’m just exhausted. I eventually hear Aggie’s distinct voice break through the rest of the noise.
“WHY DIDN’T YOU STOP THE GAME? SHE DIDN’T GET UP SO YOU STOP THE GAME!” there are waves of outraged voices that echo around me, but I can’t do anything but cry and whisper Aggie’s name.
I begin to assess myself as I wait for someone, anyone, to come help. I can feel everything, but it hurts, I can move my fingers and my toes. My breathing is a little rough and my vision is blurred by my tears. I feel someone kneel beside me.
“Hey, hey I’m here are you ok?” I expect to hear my girlfriend’s voice but it’s Ann-Katrin.
“It all hurts. W- where’s Aggie.” I groan out as she strokes my hair out of my face.
“She’s coming. She was having a word with the ref. Asshole tried to card her. The medics and Emma are coming too.”
It takes forever to be assessed, and then I’m carried out on a backboard, Aggie holding my hand as we walk through the halls.
“Are you ok? Are you sure? Do you need anything?” She spits out question after question and I smile up at her.
“I’m okay, I’ve got you.”
“You really are a quote-unquote fantastic fox.” She grins at me and leans down to kiss my forehead.
“I want to quote Fantastic Mr Fox with you all the time.”
“You will. Once you fucking stop getting hurt.”

Calling it a warmup for a busy writing day ahead, but it’s really a present for @yamujiburo - I read that ask about my favourite awful feline scamming his way into two meals and got inspired. For the most accurate reading, Meowth is in his Maddie Blaustien era, because she was the best thing to ever happen to the character and that was the version of Meowth I love the best.
Tumblr media
It was a beautiful, sunny day in Pallet Town, and Delia was in her vegetable garden; occupying herself while Jessie took Arbok and baby Ekans for a training day in Viridian Forest. Ash was supposed to be home soon, and she thought she’d make a fuss. She had some garlic growing, and a crop of beautiful tomatoes that were practically falling off the vine; she’d make a nice pasta sauce. Oh - and those razz berries were looking just delicious, too! Perfect for a sponge cake.
“Haaa...oh, woe is me...”
Delia looked up to see the strange little Meowth that Jessie and James had adopted on their travels wandering along the path that led to her home. Delia knew that Meowth had taken the breakup of Team Rocket to heart; he technically lived with James, but sometimes he just took himself off on an adventure to Pallet to bother Jessie for a few days. He’d follow her around, yammering about this and that, bringing up the Good Old Days, and Jessie would pretend to be annoyed by him right up until the second he planned to leave. Then, the tears would start.
“I just don’t tink I can go on for much longer...”
With a swoon, Meowth flopped down just outside Delia’s garden gate.
“Oh my goodness!” she cried, scrambling to her feet and running to his side. She scooped the Meowth’s massive head into her lap; noticing how hot his fur was to the touch. “Are you alright, Meowth?”
“Huh? Who’s there? Come closer...”
“It’s me, Meowth. Delia. Jessie’s partner.”
“Oh, Delia!” coughed Meowth. “You were always so - hack! - so kind ta me...”
“Have you walked all the way from Celadon City by yourself?”
“Yeah...James was busy for the weekend. Wit his fashion stuff, yanno. He said he didn’t have time to feed me, so I...hack, hack! I wanted to see a friendly face.”
“Well, Jessie’s not home right now --” The pitiful whine from Meowth didn’t so much tug on Delia’s heartstrings as yank them painfully out her chest. “But you can stay with me until she gets back! I have a glass of fresh lemonade chilling in the fridge, you really must quench your thirst after that long walk...”
“Really? You’d do that for lil’ old me-owth?”
“Of course, dear.” Delia set Meowth on his wobbly two feet. “Now, run inside and have a nice long drink. Then, when you’ve cooled off, you can help me pick some razz berries for later.”
“Okay!”
Meowth dashed into the house happily, and Delia tutted under her breath. She loved James - really, she did - but she sometimes wondered if he and Jessie forgot that Meowth was a living creature who needed their care. She couldn’t imagine Ash forgetting to feed Pikachu, after all.
“Yanno, I gotta say, Deels - can I call ya Deels?” Meowth asked, popping another berry into his mouth, “You got real a nice setup, here. All’a this food, just growin’ on your doorstep?!”
“Well,” Delia said, filling up her basket with berries, “it takes a lot of work. But I’m happy the end result is so tasty, Meowth.”
“Oh, yeah; an’ after such a long walk, too, I really - ooh, chezz berries! - I really needed some sustanance. So, whaddaya pickin’ all this food for, anyway?”
“Ash is home, soon. And I’m going to make pasta sauce from scratch, and a cake.” Delia looked out over the horizon; wondering idly what the plume of dust rising from Viridian Forest was. It seemed to be approaching fast. She hoped Jessie and the Pokemon were safe. “I know Pikachu will appreciate a good tomato sauce, and Ash always did love my sponge cakes.”
“Oh. How, uh, how nice. For the twerp.” Meowth chewed thoughtfully on a chezz berry. “Say, uh - d’you think I could maybe stay a lil’ while longer? Maybe, uh, try some of that pasta you was talkin’ about before I go...?
The plume of dust was getting closer. Delia watched it race along the footpath, until a familliar and beautiful and violently angry figure emerged from within it.
“Jessie...?”
“MEOWTH!” Jessie shrieked. “I KNEW IT! I KNEW YOU’D GO RUNNING TO DELIA, YOU LITTLE SNEAK!”
Meowth was on his feet as Jessie crashed into the garden gate, Arbok and baby Ekans in hot pursuit. “Hahahaaaa...Jeeeessiiiiee!” he cried; voice breaking, hands held out in front of his body - trying either to placate his friend or protect himself from bodily harm, “Whaddareya doin’ here? Delia said you was out training Ekans in the forest?”
Delia blinked down at Meowth. “I didn’t tell you that,” she murmured.
“I was,” Jessie hissed, “until we met you and James for our picnic. Until you ate all the food and wouldn’t stop blabbing for longer than five seconds. Until James told you that you can’t have cupcakes because sugar is bad for Pokémon --”
“Dat’s a gross oversimplication of events, Jess --”
“And until you --” Jessie picked Meowth up by the face and shook him violently this way and that, “went flouncing off into the forest saying he shouldn’t have brought anything you couldn’t have, and that you didn’t need our stupid picnic anyway! I should have known you’d go to Delia with some sob story, you greedy little freak!”
Meowth kicked out, aiming for Jessie’s face with his long, brown-and-white feet. “At least she’s nice to me - unlike you, ya big nasty mean ol’ lady!”
“What did you call me you --”
“That’s enough.” Delia hated pulling out the Mom Voice, but as both of them fell into guilty silence, she had to admit it gave results. “Jessie, I know you’re angry at Meowth but I wish you wouldn’t hurt him like that.”
“Ha!” cackled Meowth, wriggling out of Jessie’s grasp. “See, Jess? You should be nicer ta me, coz Delia says so --”
“And you.”
Meowth froze.
“You took advantage of my kindness, Meowth. You lied to me and told me James was mistreating you. That really hurt my feelings, and I’m very, very disappointed in you.”
There was a long moment of silence. Then, to Delia’s surprise, Meowth plopped down onto the floor and began to sob. “I-I-I’m sooorryyyyyyyyy...” he wailed, thick wet tears falling down his cheeks. “I didn’t wanna hurtcha feelin’s, but everyone’s so busy and the gang’s all split up an’ you’re so nice an’ I just wanted someone ta be kind ta meeeeeee...”
“Meowth, kindness goes both ways. Now,” Delia pushed the basket of berries into his paws, “you can go wash these for me in the sink, and put them in the fridge until I need them. That would be a good thing to do, to show me how sorry you really are. You want to show me you can be kind?”
“Yeeees...”
“Then scoot.”
“Okaaay...”
Jessie watched her friend head into the house - head bowed, sniffling - with a look of total wonder. “Did you just get Meowth to admit he wants to go straight?”
“Yes,” Delia said, standing up and kissing Jessie on the cheek. “I did.”

I give you sports headcannons - mix of modern au and canon era (I was on wikipedia for like 45 minutes looking at sports)
Daisy:
- horsegirl Daisy
- absolutely used to pretend to be a horse on the playground
- she's never competed though she's just really good at riding horses
- obviously also good at parkour
- forever giving the maids a heart attack as a child by sitting atop of tall cabinets she'd climbed and saying boo
- decent at swimming and did a few swimming galas Yr7 - Yr8, but her love for it died out after DSS
George:
- he was a baby who cried a lot and so his mother used to take him on runs with her to calm him down
- this has stayed with him and he goes running before breakfast a lot
- has a lot of pent up energy that helps with endurance when running
- Lavinia often goes running with him
- really good at dancing, like waltzing and such, likes knowing the steps and finds it reassuring
- also really love the idea of figure skater or ballet dancer George
Aleks:
- Doesn't do it anymore, but had a scooter as a little boy and was revered by other 7 year olds because he could do cool tricks with it
- lowkey wants to get back into it except he's too tall for a scooter now
- can fence (his father made him and his brother learn)
- I can't decide if he's shit at sports or absolutely brilliant at them
- if we're saying he's good at sports, I imagine he's Weston School's sporty golden boy
- does triathlon and on the cricket team
- (Hazel always goes bright red when he's in his cricket uniform)
Hazel:
- bad at agility strength so she's shit at parkour (dw Hazel we all know George had to give you that shove over a wall in Case Of The Missing Treasure)
- but she's really good at standing her ground???
- she's really good at contact sport she just doesn't like them
- Lavinia reckons she'd be pretty good at lacrosse
- on the reserve hockey team, despite protests
- she actually gets into roller derby and her name is 2 Rights Don't Make A Wong
- Daisy ALWAYS cheers the loudest at her games
Lavinia:
- canonically good at tennis
- she pretty much sticks to tennis, she thinks 'why work on others when I could work on one sport and just get really good at it'
- she goes running with George like I said though
- it's a good warmup for tennis, and she doesn't have to think about much when doing it
- always fancied doing something like wrestling or boxing though
Kitty:
- always finding some unusual fitness class to go to (and drag Beanie along with her)
- think aerial hoops, or aquacise
- she can never stick with them for long though
- she hates getting sweaty, or muddy, or pushed over so despises sports at Deepdean
- but joins a synchronised swimming club and is actually getting really good at it, and really enjoys it
- especially the fact that looking pretty and presentable is like half the whole thing
Beanie:
- goes to all Kitty's unusual fitness classes like I said
- neutral on them, goes just to hang with Kitty
- like Daisy, good at horseriding, used to do a few dressage competitions as a teen
- did ballet as a toddler, sort of misses the baby classes where all you had to do was point your toes and you didn't have to think about the next steps or balancing or anything like that

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Miroku watched as Sango waited her turn in line. It was the hardest event of her competition—the high jump—and Miroku knew that Sango’s nerves were sky-high. She was bouncing in place, eyes closed, and every so often she would hop, hop, and then jump, as though she were practicing her steps in her mind.
He smiled. Even though this was an important event—a difficult event—and even though Sango was nervous, she was still focused on the task at hand.
“You’re gonna do amazing,” he said, walking up to her and stretching as he did so—his own event, the 1500m hurdles, was further down in the program, so he had a bit of time still until he had to complete. Normally he’d be going through his own pre-race routine, but now, Sango was the most important thing on his mind: not the hurdles, not his step pattern in between them, and not the height of his legs as he jumped.
Sango’s eyes shot open, and she looked at him in surprise. “Miroku!” she said, bouncing up and down still. “Shouldn’t you be preparing for your own event?”
Miroku shrugged. “Nah,” he said, giving her a roguish grin, “I still got time.” He stepped a little closer to her. “It’s you who’s more important right now,” he added, and laughed when she rolled her eyes.
“You’re the worst,” she said, “and I’m not gonna console you this time when you fall over the hurdle at 900m and fail to finish the race.”
“That was only one time!” he cried, and now it was her turn to giggle. “Besides,” he added, “I think that time you consoled me helped me get over any fears I had about that happening ever again.”
“Do you ever hear yourself?” she shot back, but there was no heat in her tone; she was still smiling at him.
“Always,” he drawled, “and I think I sound amazing and wonderful and charming.”
“You sound none of those,” Sango retorted, “but you’re cute, so I guess we’ll let you stick around.”
“Numbers 17, 35, and 47!” the announcer called. “You’re up next! Please take your positions outside the starting line.”
“That’s me,” Sango said, stretching one last time.
“That’s you,” Miroku said.
“Well,” Sango shrugged her shoulders and gave Miroku a grin, “wish me luck?”
Miroku blushed. “I’ll do better than that, if you don’t mind,” he replied.
Sango’s eyes widened. “What…what could you possibly…” she stammered.
Miroku leaned over and placed a soft kiss on her lips. “Good luck, Sango,” he breathed, her face turning bright red at his words. “You’re gonna jump higher than everyone here today. I just know it.”
“And if I don’t?” Sango asked, her beautiful smile turning into a frown.
“Doesn’t matter,” Miroku said. “You’ll always be the best high jumper to me.”
“I bet you say that to all the ladies,” Sango teased.
“Don’t have to,” Miroku admitted. “I just want to say it to you.”
Sango opened her mouth like she wanted to reply, but just leaned forward and kissed him back. “See you out there, you cheesy troublemaker,” she murmured. She stood up. “And don’t even think about giving me a playful smack on the ass as I walk away.”
“Sango!” Miroku moaned. “How could you think so little of me?”
“I don’t,” she answered, walking away from him. “I think so little of your hand.”
Miroku laughed, and took his own position, stretching and jogging and going through his own pre-race warmups. When it was Sango’s turn, though, he yelled for her louder than anyone else on their team, cheering and screaming for her until he was nearly hoarse. And after she topped her personal best, he raced out onto the field and picked her up in a huge hug, kissing her there in front of the whole stadium.
She didn’t win, but neither of them really cared. Because for Sango, winning Miroku’s heart, and him letting her claim him as hers, there in front of everyone, was the thing that mattered most.
Only Mine - Zdinarsk x reader SMUT
Synopsis: You really shouldn't have embarrassed her... now you're in for a world of punishment.
"Oh come on, your locker is WAY dirtier than mine." You said to Z, taking another bite of your food. "She has a moldy spot in her P.E. locker. Can you believe that??"
"Dude! Ew!" Lyle said and Quaritch laughed. Z was REALLY pissed at you now.
She grabbed your hand and took you to your room. You were in for it now.
When you got to the room, she shoved you in and locked the door behind you two. She cornered you.
"Did you really think you could get away with that? Get away with embarrassing me in front of my friends? Really? You should know by now not to do that." She growled in your ear. "I-I didn't mean to, I swear, I-"
"I don't wanna fucking hear it. Just accept that you're gonna be punished and it'll hurt a little less." She said. She shoved you onto your bed, ripping off your clothes, underwear, and bra. She spread your legs and licked her index and middle fingers before sliding them in your tight, needy cunt.
"You're already so wet. You get off on this, don't you? Dirty, dirty slut. My slut. Only mine." She groaned in your ear.
You moaned as you clutched onto her for dear life. God, how she knew how to make you feel so good.
You dug your fingernails into her back, scratching it to certainly cause marks later. She continued to finger you, her thumb rubbing your clit. You felt your orgasm creeping up on you, and you tried to warn her.
"M-Mommy, I-I'm gonna cum.. please.. let me cum, please mommy.." You begged and whimpered in her ear.
"Cum for me, babygirl." She said. As soon as she gave you the OK, you came all over her fingers and whined as you did so.
Before you could recover, she sat down on the bed and took you over her knee.
"You didn't really think you could get away without a spanking, did you? This is your real punishment. That was just a warmup."
She spanked you and made you count. As soon as you finished, she rubbed your ass and hit you one last time.
You cried and whimpered, yawning. You were tired and you just wanted to go take a nap.
"You ready to go back? I promise I'll take good care of you tonight. Or do you wanna stay here?" Zdog asked. "We can go back if you want to but I wanna stay here and sleep a little bit." You requested.
"Okay, let's get you cleaned up."
She bathed and dressed you, massaging your ass so it didn't hurt or sting as much.
You fell asleep together, taking a nap and then staying up all night ;)
UGH NOT MY BEST WORK but i did my best for how late it is at night for me 😭😭♥️♥️
MWAH hope you enjoyed!!
Two days ago I arrived home from the last of the See You Soon tour dates I will be attending and wow it was such a ride I have been pretty much walking in and out of existence and longingly daydreaming all day. So here’s my experience at the different gigs.
Tldr; Helsinki one was me in the seats – cozy first concert and bit of warmup for both me and the band – and Hojan!!; Helsinki two had much more energy and good vibes yet strict security made it so a few people had to almost faint before we got offered water… also I missed Jere by one and a half hours; Malmö was the one were I kept winning and I am still in awe this day even happened; Gothenburg was great especially for interactions between the members of the band although I wasn’t keen on the queue location.
Helsinki 1+2 I have decided to put these two together since they were at the same place and because I am very late to write this. I had seating tickets to the first show, so me and Anniina (@formulalakana) spend the day being käärijä city tourists in Vantaa. After that we went to Käbnb (I’d rented it for the weekend) and fanboyed some more over the apartment and wearing the bolero. Since the apartment was an hour away, we only just joined the queue right before opening of general entry at 5.50.
The show was great. If I am asked to describe it with one word, I’ll chose cozy which might seem like an odd word to use about a Joker Out show. In my defense I had been up since 4 am and had a whole day behind me of getting excited over käärijä stuff (also since I was staying at käbnb). I loved hearing the new songs (Sta Bih Ja and Bluza) live together with seeing Hojan join the encore. I was glad we got Metulji so we could use the cute little butterflies we got from people at the queue to hold up in the air (it was really quite pretty from the back). I remember thinking how Jan must’ve been warm in his furcoat on stage and that I appreciated the little hints back to Stozice with the outfits like Nace’s leg chain.
Tbh I mostly just took this gig as a warmup where I filmed lots of the songs and took in the vibe, now that I couldn’t really jump around myself. The guys might have needed time to get back into touring because I talked with some people yesterday that agreed that the band had been great if a little held back on the first day.
On the second day I joined the queue around 10.10. It was amazing meeting up with old and new faces. Everybody got so excited about being gifted stickers that I ran out a few hours before lining up for the queue started. In turn I got so many nice wristbands as well I think I managed to beat the record of most bracelets gifted to me in a day which had been Berlin previously.
Today’s vibe was completely different; there was way more energy from the stage and from the crowd, the latter possibly because I was in the pit this time, four rows from the stage. I had decided to wear my häärijä suit for the occasion together with a little Danish flag that I kept waving in the air. I was with a strong Nace girlie so we had placed ourselves by Nace and Jan. She got a few genuine smiles and nods from the bassist.
Katrina was a good opening song and while I haven’t listened much to Galaxy of Me/Behind Those Eyes/Schlager since hearing it live I remember enjoying it quite nicely. Padam was gorgeous as a piano ballad! Nace looked adorable in his glasses and holed blouse, and I enjoyed Kris’ outfit a lot. However the pit did get quite hot at one point so a few people around seemed to be feint and the security guards didn’t want to give us water until we directly cried out for help then they suddenly wanted to give us all the water we could muster. Other than that the experience was great! I felt my stomach drop hard at one point and I realized it was because Bojan’s eyes were locked with mine for solid five seconds. I loved that we got Kris bullied into singing NVGOT for the encore.
I felt almost as a celebrity when people complemented my häärijä cosplay (or Dojan as somebody later called me; the Danish Hojan). I even got asked for an autograph where I had to break it to them that I wasn’t the “real deal” yet they still wanted the autographs for the funsies.
After the concert a good portion of people collected outside by the tourbus and played Everybody’s Waiting over and over. I joined for a time yet felt ambivalent about it all given I could imagine how intimidating it must be for the band seeing such a big group of people standing around like this. Anniina suggested we catch the last bus home around 0.30 and I agreed it was probably for the best. The bus at the Pasilla station didn’t want to open its doors for me although I stood with my face more or less on the door window so I had to wait for another less convenient bus that left me gliding and sliding on ice home for 1,5 km. That together with learning the next day that had I waited one and a half hours more I could’ve met not only Bojan and Jan, but Jere soured my mood a bit I must admit. I bought myself the 3xl käärijä shirt that was offered as a nightgown and went to gift Jere his little gift (Helsinki sticker and Bojere keychain) but got lost so I had to hand in the letter at the Warner Bros Studios instead of the käärijä fanmail box – for this reason I am not sure if Jere will ever get it sadly.
All in all some great concerts although what I think I mostly will remember this trip for was the amount of käärijä related firsts that I got (first time seeing the mural, first time tasting oddly good, first time trying on the bolero, you name it) together with the joker out firsts as well (first concert, first time hearing the new songs etc. etc.)
Trinkets from the Helsinki shows including doodle from @ya-boi-joule , wrapping paper @formulalakana was so kind to buy and safe for me, merch and the many lovely bracelets and stickers :D Not shown here are the cool sparklative pin that @hazzybat made (and the cute kangaroo keychain I also got from Haz) together with the homemade Bojan earring I've basically worn nonstop since xD
Tumblr media
Malmö I had thought about adding the two Sweden shows together but honestly the vibes were too different for me to do so.
I had gotten early entry to Malmö, so I had probably put way too much weight on making this gig the best of the bunch. For this reason, I woke up at 4 so I could be at the venue around 9. I was met by the oddest and most chill queue I have ever seen. By now point were we more than 15-20 people present before the line was formed at 5. I had been fairly certain that the only of my many goals (x) I would be able to accomplish would be gifting all my stickers away but spoilers; that didn’t happen.
At soundcheck I managed to get second row in the middle between Bojan and Kris (very strategic of me since two of my goals were related to Bojan and Kris respectfully). Having told quite a few people in the queue about my dream of getting Bojan to see my sign I had so many eyes on me cheering me on that I didn’t hesitate to throw my silly sign in the air. Bojan hesitated even less and agreed immediately (I might do another post about the whole experience with the tattoo when I have it done). In return I gave him the pencilcase full of gift and he looked at it confused until he read the little sign and said with a smile ‘gifts :D’. So that was two of the goals I had been so scared I wouldn’t in a million years be able to accomplish and the show hadn’t even started. When he later got down to slide his hand over ours I ended up being the awkward boy in the room going for a handshake (don’t know what I was thinking tbh) so instead Bojan held his hand in mind so gently for like a minute and locked eyes with me. Safe to say I was on cloud nine after that soundcheck.
The energy that had been great in Helsinki day 2 was somehow even better in Malmö! The band was fully on and so were we in the crowd. Jure wore what looked like a simplified Stozice shirt aka just a harness with a diamond down his chest. Kris and Bojan complimented each other, one wearing blue pants and the other a blue shirt and then the other way around with white shirt and white pants.
We started out strong with Sunny Side of London which I honestly hadn’t expected given I hadn’t heard it in Helsinki at all (and I haven’t looked too much into the setlist of the other dates). But that was not all: We got the demoni scream!! And NVGOT!! Padam was gorgeous as a piano ballad yet again. Me and Bojan held eye contact while screaming the bridge to Bluza together. So many different versions of Umazane Misli was sung including a version from both the people next to me that I had bonded with in the queue!! (that made me go into proud dad mode and gave me tons of dopamine seeing them win as well). We even got Bojan rapping the chorus himself from the middle of the crowd!! Fittingly he was given a crown by a fan immediately after. My last piece of Bojan eye contact came during Novi Val where I have on video him looking for five seconds at my phone and tapping his mic to his chest which threw me off for a bit rushing to make him a heart back.
Honestly this whole show was peak to me already before leaving the venue. Yet as I’d been the whole day, I was a man with a mission and now the mission was to gift away the last stickers. This quest let me to talk to Hearts, the supporting act (these guys were chill and cool as well) together with accidentally be close by when Kiki came out with two free setlists where I then ran to get one of them. What I remember most vividly was everybody I showed the setlist too being annoyed at ASTP being replaced by Sta Bih Jah and fair.
We were a small group of people that met up afterwards just to chill. At this point I didn’t even know where the tour bus was, so I didn’t expect to see the guys at all. Yet at some point one pointed out Jan walking by and me high on everything that had already happened had no shame and shouted ‘great concert :D’ at him where his response was a ‘thank you :D’ back.
It turned out that not 20 minutes later I spied Bojan in the corner of my eye down the hill where we were standing and wanting to thank him for the tattoo I went down there. I gave him a tight hug shaking a bit from everything and we ‘are you’ed each other for what felt like 30 seconds to a minute. He told me that he recognized me from Helsinki in the yellow suit and at that point I was ready to melt then and there. Bojan was just so easy and lovely to talk to I can see why Jere and so many others fall for him.
Going back up to the rest of the folk we noticed Jan and Kris hanging out, but Kris had to go when I got there. Nace stayed and we got a long talk about his turtles which meant lots of new turtle lore. I loved feeling how great of a turtle dad he is from the way he was talking about them, and I felt connected to him in the way he too speaks a lot with his hands. After Nace Jan turned up to speak to us yet I had a bit of a harder time talking to him maybe because we both can be a bit distracted (me mostly by Jure standing in a colourful sweater and smoking by the tour bus). He agreed to us taking turns taking pictures and getting hugs which was nice.
On my way home from the venue I had to record all my experiences which turned into me babbling only semi sensical at a camera for almost 3 minutes letting my legs show me the way home. I was surprised to find I didn’t get lost. I was not at all surprised to see I was close to tears in the video footage.
Trinkets from Malmö including my sign and Bojan's handwriting, the setlist and more <3
Gothenburg I only arrived at 2 o’clock for the queue given the bus I’d been able to get from Malmö. It was a bit colder than yesterday and the queuing space way less cozy being a parking lot with the bus behind a caged fence and us just outside the fence compared to the nice little park with the tourbus out of sight in Malmö. I did manage to get a wave from a person I am pretty sure was Bojan (my stomach dropped like it did in Helsinki as well so I guess this is how I recognize Bojan from now on xD).
I began doodle a bit for people and getting back into the queue vibe when I noticed the time; I had to go throw my stuff at the hotel, so I had a place to sleep and because the venue had a bag ban. I managed to get lost and curse myself for not paying extra for a closer hotel when walking around the construction heavy central station. It turned out the hotel I’d booked was a boat which I find cool (and fitting given the whole titanic thing with Bojere).
Being lost I ended up going on a tiny side quest to ICA and buy the käärijä youghurt. It tasted pretty okay (I ate it in the queue later)! I prefer dreamy lemon tho (my breakfast in Helsinki). I arrived in the nick of time because just 20 minutes later the lines were formed. Now being forced to stand close to the fence we managed to catch glimpses of the fan running back and forth (especially Jure) but none of us said anything. One person I was with told me about Jure being cornered by a fan and forced to flee into the tourbus only to be followed and to be honest that story was the cherry on cake for me; the rest of the night I found myself being in overempathetic mode to the point of later masking and stepping away when being afraid of invading somebody’s space.
The concert was great especially when it comes to gifts given to the guys and the interactions between the guys as well. I especially loved Jance’s dance during Umazane Misli (that today were mostly Swedish versions) and Bojan gently caressing Kris’ cheek to get his attention. Jure also got some action going on with the two guitarists joining in on both sides of the drumset and Bojan vibing when Bluza was playing. I really enjoyed Kris and Jan in yellow especially Kris with blondes down his arms. Everybody got tons of sunglasses, Jan got a Teletubbies hairband, Kris a crown (he threw off real fast after just one song) and Jure got a few bracelets he gently took from the hands of the people in the crowd during Novi Val (that was the one time he seemed to get eye contact with us at all – I still felt very bad).
The setlist wasn’t too different from Malmö but with Gola replacing SSOL (nice full circle moment for me since Gola also opened my first ever JO show and the first on the whole tour aka Helsinki 1), Metulji replacing Padam, NVGOT being skipped, and Katrina moved up the setlist (maybe there were more changes but that is what I recall). I seemed to have tons of eye contact yet again with the Bojan even more than the other three days combined. And that was despite being a bit farther away this time almost at the edge by Kris yet pretty close to the barricade (third row) all things considered. Once again, he gently held my hand. This time it happened during the show where he let his hand jump over a (tiny) sea of other hands to rest his in mind and he winked at me. I had to happy stim after that which is oddly not something I do a lot at shows. When Mira next to me was invited to do her choreography for UM on stage I got another rush of dopamine (Idk why I get these proud father feelings for people I’ve only just meant; I was just so happy for her).
We were a group that hung out by the venue afterwards; it was bigger than Malmö but smaller than Helsinki 2. Still big enough that my overly sensitive empathy today felt bad for being there. At the same time, I wanted to cool my nerves down after being boosted with all that dopamine. As time went on I also grew stubborn and didn’t want to repeat Helsinki 2 where I had moved home too early.
When it looked like we’d only wave at the bus today, Nace came out to the cage to say hi. At first, he seemed uncomfortable especially with how he tensed up laughing. He loosened up seeing the amazing Joker Out inspired jackets some fans had made and almost gave them both a heart attack asking for pictures of the jackets.
After that he came out to us on the other side of the fence, and we talked about the silliest topics like what signature picture pose each member have (sadly I forgot to ask about Nace’s own go to pose). I gave him a very rushed doodle of himself doing Jan’s pose (I had cold hands and wouldn’t risk him going away) and he got so genuinely excited for it my heart melted a bit.
Jan also joined yet only after Nace had gone and just before me and some others were on our way home, so we sneaked back again to chat. He was wearing his scarf as a hat so of course I had to draw and gift him a doodle like that. He too seemed genuinely happy for it. We gushed about the new songs and spread the ‘come to Denmark’ propaganda (we were two danes amongst others). Today I felt it was easier to talk to Jan. He was very nice and polite and open. We went away after Jan had said goodnight so I don’t know if any other of the guys came out to say hello. I couldn’t argue with my sense of being the crazy fan stepping over an invisible line anymore (even after dad Nace had told me that – like yesterday – he would not chose to come out and say hi if he felt uncomfortable so I shouldn’t worry … right before then saying the most people-pleaser thing like ‘I felt bad for you waiting in the cold’ so I don’t know how to interpret the two messages I got there. I guess Nace is right tho; he himself knows best what he is comfortable with and after all we were all nice and respectful).
Trinkets including the tour shirt (finally got it after three attempts) and the k youghurt
Fun fact about the blue flower bracelet: It was thrown to me by a crew member after Hearts' set - I didn't know what he had but I nodded to him when he asked with his eyes if somebody wanted the thing and so I was pleasantly surprised to see how pretty a bracelet it is. I have no idea who it was originally meant for x'D
Aqua and Terra had been present the day that Yen Sid arrived in the Land of Departure, seeking audience with Master Eraqus. Though very young at the time, around 10 or so years, both were more than able to grasp the importance of such an occasion. It was rare that the prior Master came to visit, and surely the circumstances must have been something of note.
They stood beside Eraqus as he greeted Yen Sid, inquiring as to what brought him here.
"I've a favor to ask of you, Eraqus. Nothing too troublesome, I assure you. But nonetheless, I would ask for your utmost delicacy in the matter," the wizard spoke, and though his face was usually stern and stoic, Eraqus could see a particular twinkle in his eye.
"Of course, Master. I'd be happy to help." Eraqus bowed lightly at the waist, a hand to his chest.
Yen Sid did smile now, and his gaze turned to Terra and Aqua.
"Your pupils may be of some use as well, now that I think about it."
The two children tilted their heads in opposite directions, a motion that was, by all means, adorable. Terra, though, seemed excited at the potential to be included in something a prior keyblade master deemed important.
Before he could respond, however, Eraqus spoke first, "Well, now you've definitely piqued my curiosity."
The wizard's smile remained, the longest Terra and Aqua had ever seen it, as it was turned downward and to his side.
"I need you to watch someone while I attend some business. I assure you, he'll be no trouble. Isn't that right, Adriel?"
Children and Master alike were surprised at the sharp whimper that emanated from behind the wizard, coming from a figure that had been so small and subtle that they hadn't even noticed it until it had darted behind Yen Sid entirely. Yen Sid said nothing, merely stepping back and around until a small child was revealed to all.
He was definitely around Terra and Aqua's age, dressed in frilly black and white attire and crowned with raven hair that hung down the sides of his face while cropped short at the back. His bangs nearly covered large brown eyes that brimmed with tears, which in turn began to overflow at the sight of the three strangers.
Eraqus, stunned, opened his mouth to speak, but the child whimpered loudly and turned to cling to Yen Sid's robes. The wizard placed a hand on his head and then took a step back, turning him and giving him a gentle push forward.
"He's a gentle thing, and I dare not leave him alone as I attend this task. Which is why I would ask if you would watch him for me, Eraqus. I will explain all in good time, but know that he's still in a delicate state of being, and requires a strong presence to watch over him lest he fall into despair."
Terra and Aqua inspected the young boy known as Adriel in awe, the way he sniffled as thick tears ran down his face until he took notice of their gaze and firmly backed into the hand that held him forward.
Rubbing his chin for a moment, Eraqus seemed to come to a decision as he smiled softly. "Very well. I'd be happy to watch him for you, Master. And I'm sure Terra and Aqua are as well. He'll be in good hands, this I promise," he confirmed, casting a welcoming smile down at the boy who was clearly not going to be easily comforted.
Yen Sid offered a singular nod in return, looking down at Adriel one last time. "I will return shortly, Adriel. In the meantime, be a good lad for Eraqus and his pupils."
Adriel's watery eyes opened wide, grabbing for Yen Sid as he turned to pass through the corridor between worlds. "M-Master!" he cried out, running after the wizard but ultimately failing to reach him before he disappeared. He stood frozen for a good few moments before whimpering loudly, trembling, and crying out again, "Master, come back!"
When it was clear Yen Sid would not be returning, Adriel stood silently, arms at his sides. Eraqus looked to Aqua and Terra individually, offering them nods before the three approached the trembling child.
"Master Yen Sid will return soon, Adriel. Don't worry, we're more than happy to keep you company until he comes ba-" Eraqus was cut off as he reached forward to place his hand on Adriel's head, the young boy turning to look at him with wide, frightened eyes that glistened with moisture.
"No! NO!" he yelped, wiping his eyes with his sleeve before darting past Eraqus and into the castle.
The Master could only look on alongside his pupils as the small, dark figure disappeared down a hallway before sighing and shaking his head. "Perhaps this is a matter better left to those younger than myself," he mused before looking at Terra and Aqua again. "Terra. Aqua. If you would, please find him and do your best to calm him. I have a feeling this will be no simple task."
Aqua nodded with a hum of confirmation, Terra offering an "On it!" before the two took off after the wayward child.
The pursuit was longer than expected but by no means too lengthy. Terra and Aqua knew the castle well and were more than privy to its hiding spots. Before long, they found the boy crouched down under the stairs, sobbing into his fists.
Looking at each other, Terra shrugged, and Aqua furrowed her brow thoughtfully. For a moment, they just watched, mentally going over what they could say. It was Aqua who ultimately approached first, slowly making her way next to him and offering her best reassuring smile.
"Hey, it's okay. Master Eraqus is a very nice man, you don't need to be scared," she spoke softly, doing her best to sound warm and reassuring.
The boy said nothing, merely continuing his gentle weeping.
"Your name is Adriel, right? I'm Aqua. And that's Terra," Aqua proceeded to introduce the two of them, prompting Terra to approach as well.
"Heyya. Don't be scared, we're not gonna hurt you," Terra reassured him next, raising a hand in greeting despite knowing the gesture would probably go unseen.
And again, Adriel did not respond. Aqua and Terra looked at each other again, frowning thoughtfully. As they contemplated their next words, the boy finally spoke.
"He's not coming back! He's never coming back! I'm gonna be all alone again!" Adriel sobbed, following up with a sniffle.
"Master Yen Sid?" Terra questioned, taking the whimper that followed as confirmation.
Aqua frowned and tilted her head to try and look Adriel in the face. "Hey, Master Yen Sid wouldn't do that. Is that what you're scared of?"
Adriel nodded, though he still didn't look up. "I d-did something wrong, I know it! He's gonna leave me behind because I'm not good enough! I don't want to be alone again!"
"Adriel…" Aqua trailed off before kneeling down in front of him. "I promise you, Master Yen Sid won't leave you. He's a good man, and you seem like such a nice boy. I promise, he-" she was cut off by Adriel violently shaking his head.
"No! No, he's leaving me, I know it!"
Aqua sighed, exasperated and unsure of what to do before Terra broke the silence.
"So what if he doesn't come back? I mean, he probably will but if he doesn't that doesn't mean you'll be alone," he cut in, shrugging.
"Terra!" Aqua balked, shocked that he would say such a thing.
But ultimately, it seemed to have been the type of response they were looking for, as Adriel lifted his head and stared at Terra with wide eyes.
"Wh… What?" he asked, seemingly equally shocked.
Terra smiled, seemingly pleased with himself and also doing his best to continue to reassure. "Yeah, even if Master Yen Sid doesn't come back for you, you'll still have me and Aqua. Oh, and Master Eraqus, too. So there's nothing to worry about, see?"
Damp lashes fluttered as Adriel blinked those wide brown eyes, the boy's gaze fixed on Terra as if he were a beacon in a storm. "You'll really… do that?" he questioned, sniffling and wiping his eyes on his sleeve again. "B-But… You don't even know me!"
Terra made a thoughtful face before approaching into the same proximity as Aqua. He inspected Adriel for a moment, tilting his head this way and that and leaning in closely before smiling again. "Well, you seem like a bit of a crybaby, but there's nothing wrong with that. You're okay in my book."
Aqua sighed and shook her head at the crudeness of the compliment, but offered a reassuring smile and nod to accompany it.
Adriel looked between the two, in utter awe. It was increasingly dubious whether the boy had ever had a friend before based on his reaction alone, but the way he seemed to be warming up to the idea was good enough for Terra and Aqua, who were more than pleased to provide such a remedy. The crying boy swallowed a lump in his throat and sniffled one more time before standing up.
"T-Terra? And Aqua? Right?" he confirmed that he had indeed been listening when they introduced themselves, a good sign in itself.
The two nodded in unison, Terra chiming in soon afterward.
"That's right. You think you're gonna be okay now, Adriel?"
Placing two hands on his chest, Adriel blinked a few times as he nodded. "Uhm. I th-think so… You can call me Adri… If you want…" he mumbled as he looked down at the ground shyly before glancing back up.
At the progress, Aqua and Terra smiled at each other triumphantly before turning back to the boy and holding out their hands.
"Come on, let us show you around," Aqua offered, her tone warm and inviting.
"Yeah, we don't even have to go back to Master Eraqus yet," Terra added, complimenting Aqua's warmth with reassurance.
Lip trembling, Adriel looked at their outstretched hands, another thick tear dropping down his cheek and onto the floor, before he found his hands intertwined with theirs. "O… Okay. Thank you…"
"And that's the way of it. I do hope he's been on his best behvior, you understand now why he reacted the way he did."
Eraqus rubbed the back of his neck with a sigh before nodding, a smile, of all things, spreading across his face. "I see. Yes, that does make a lot of sense. You were right, he's quite the well-behaved young man, but I can't take most of the credit for this assignment, I'm afraid."
Yen Sid offered a chuckle to the admission, stroking his beard thoughtfully before his gaze followed something behind his prior apprentice. "Yes, I can see that," he mused, watching the three children run by before the dark-clad one stopped in his tracks upon seeing him.
"Master Yen Sid!" Adriel cried out in joy, tears springing to his eyes again as he ran towards the wizard as fast as his feet could carry him. As he reached him, he immediately clung to his robes again, crying as he had been when Yen Sid had departed but not without a smile present as it now stood. "You came back!"
"Of course I did, child. I promised you, did I not?" Yen Sid placed a hand atop Adriel's head, a warm smile accompanying the gesture. "Were you a good lad for Master Eraqus and his pupils?"
Adriel's eyes shone with a variety of emotions, but the beaming expression he wore filled Yen Sid with reassurance.
"Mh! Master Eraqus is very nice," the child relayed his new opinion before turning back to direct a warm smile at his new friends. "And Terra and Aqua are… Really great."
Another chuckle wracked the wizard's body. "Well I'm pleased to hear that, Adriel. Thank you again, Eraqus. Your assistance is much appreciated. And yours as well, young Terra and Aqua."
As the two were given a nod of appreciation, Terra grinned widely while Aqua giggled into her hands.
"Can't wait to play again sometime, Adri!" Terra called out, waving his arm.
"Yeah, hope we see you again soon!" Aqua echoed the sentiment.
Tears once again ran down Adriel's face as he smiled his most radiant smile, waving back with just as much enthusiasm.
"Yes, it will be our pleasure to host you again, Adriel. Until next time," Eraqus completed the farewell, Adriel jolting to attention as he was bowed to and awkwardly offering a bow in return.
"Th-thank you Master Eraqus!" he squeaked, resulting in Eraqus having to suppress a grin.
"Let us away now, child. By the next time you see them, you'll have much to compare with each other," Yen Sid gently encouraged as he began to lead the young boy away. He watched from the corner of his eye as Adriel's gaze lingered over his shoulder before turning up to him, that smile yet lingering. And linger it did, accompanied by an enthusiastic retelling of all that had happened in the wizard's absence.
10 Observations: in which I break a curse, fail to evade arena employees, and see Geno play his 1000th NHL game
how are you all? are you well? are you in a general state of good health? please tell me you are, because I decided to subject myself to the frigid chicago weather, the stresses of an away arena, and shepherding my hockey-uneducated family through a game in a desperate bid to see geno's 1000th game.
I succeeded. I survived. barely. this is my story:
1 - United Center is Nice and Much Too Large
this place is massive. just... untenably large. upsettingly large, one might say. I've been there only twice before—for concerts, never a sporting event—and I remember being struck by the size even then, when huge swaths of the arena were blocked off for the stage. seeing the whole place actually in use was alarming and further put PPG Paints Arena into context for me.
this arena-contextualizing started with me going to Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle and marveling at THEIR size (and beauty, and functionality, and Fun Arena Kitsch), and comparing that to PPG Paints Arena, which is rinky-dink in comparison. I don't know why I expected United Center to be... rustier? older? meh-er? than PPG Paints, but I had attributed C.P.A.'s beauty to its newness and assumed that United Center, being older than me, would be less nice than PPG Paints.
I was wrong. deeply, lol. if we're looking for "shiny new arena beauty," United Center has it. it's a slick arena! the jumbotron is FEARSOME and MOVES(????) and has WAY TOO MANY STATS ON IT. I was very lost on where to look. kind of to the point of overstimulation. (especially after the opening jersey retirement ceremony). the concourse is very glossy and new-looking. chicago! you do sports venues well!
that being said: all of the concessions areas directly impede passersby. walking around the arena was, overall, unpleasant. I usually try to make a point to explore a new arena a little, but after venturing out for warmups and fighting MASSIVE lines and crowds everywhere, I stayed planted in my seat for the rest of the game. honestly there were TOO MANY people for my taste. I applaud United Center for their huge turnout for the ceremony, but...
there's something to be said for rinky dink arenas. I'm fond of PPG Paints Arena. it's my arena, you know? I know it really well, I know how to function in it, and it's a little (maybe a lot) outdated, but it's ours. and, god bless it, it's humbly-sized. manageable.
2 - Jersey/Number Retirement Ceremonies Are Neat And I Almost Cried
I do not know Hossa. at all. I maybe saw him play a game or two against the pens, but that's the extent of it. despite that, I'm a sucker for a good ceremony, and I thought they did a really nice job with it... even if it was REALLY long, haha. the crowd REALLY liked him and supported him and it was pretty neat to watch.
that being said... I almost started crying when my mind inevitably went to what Sid, and Geno, and Tanger's jersey retirements are going to look like. like, I was tearing up at this very heartfelt ceremony for a guy I didn't know and an organization I have animosity towards. I've always known I'd cry at a SidGenoTanger ceremony, but it struck me very concretely at this moment that I will be bawling when that happens. I'm talking full-on ugly crying. I'm going to be sobbing in the penguins' arena on those fateful days and personally I hope that is far, far in the future.
3 - The United Center Employees Were Conspiring To Foil Me
the customer service was, ah, not ideal. I dealt with a really condescending parking lot attendant who had no interest in answering apparently really stupid questions from someone who has never been to a sporting event at this arena, which made me roll my eyes but, like, whatever, we got parked and survived it, so hey, that's cool.
but oh, warmups. ohoho, warmups.
for the uninitiated: in Pittsburgh, at PPG Paints Arena, you can go down to the glass and stand there during warmups, no matter if you're seated in that section or not. provided you're not in someone's seat and they come kick you out, you're allowed to be there to observe.
the only time I've ever had an issue there was when this curmudgeonly usher manning the section used to get on people's cases for standing in the aisles. I haven't seen him since 2018 or so, so I hope he's retired from his career of hassling young families and random 20somethings.
in Seattle, jes and I had noooo problem at all going down for warmups. none at all. foolish me, I assumed all arenas were as accommodating. United Center was here to prove me wrong!
at the first aisle I tried to go down, an employee asked to see my ticket. I asked if I was allowed to just go down and observe warmups; he said no. I was not ready to give up, so I turned around and walked a bit further to another entrance point. this time I got down to the glass unencumbered! a man sitting in that section told me I wasn't allowed to go past the second step (??) and actually reach the glass, but hey, that's cool.
then ✨our guys✨ came out! there they were! glorious in their white kits! lookin' great! it never escapes me that PPG Paints Arena has waaaay worse lighting than other arenas, because there is an appreciable difference in brightness at our home rink and both Seattle/Chicago.
and then an employee came down and kicked me out :) once again asking for proof of tickets, and when I asked about just watching warmups, I got another "no, not allowed." damn, United Center! take pity on those of us who can't afford your lower bowl! I actually went to talk to local hockey fans after the game to inquire about the whole thing: is that policy? the answer I got was: security was very tight because of the ceremony that happened earlier :/ apparently watching warmups might have been permissible on another night, but the arena was very full and the employees were pretty clamped-down on the rules.
sigh! I get it, but I'm a little 🤨🙄 about it too. not that I'm going to make a habit out of going to games in Chicago—we suck in that arena, and also it's expensive!—but I think watching the pens in this city is gonna be a one-and-done for me.
I hilariously and sadly missed the geno-prank-stretching situation during all this, but with it being so well-documented online, I am just accepting what happened and being grateful I was there at all. accept that which you cannot change, etc. etc.
I will say, this did sour my opinion of the arena, which makes my official hockey-viewing-arena ranking list as follows:
Climate Pledge Arena: slick, gorgeous, new, it's like you're trapped in an amazon original, consistent branding makes it kind of magical? great, youthful energy and a really fun atmosphere.
PPG Paints Arena: it's home and it's ours and I love it very much. it's your homely wife you return to after your long voyage at sea. her stew is middling at best and the house is a little rough around the edges, but she's kept it tidy and familiar for you. what more could you ask for?
United Center: the fans are passionate, loud, and so very into it. honestly it felt more barn-like than PPG Paints. I see why we have the "corporate" feeling arena; the hawks fans just have a general passion that we lack, I think :/ however: your multilayered state-of-the-art jumbotron overwhelmed me, your concourse design is horrible to navigate, and your employees were kinda rude. sorry <3
Lincoln Financial Field (2019 Stadium Series): 0/10 horrible experience would not recommend on any level
I perhaps should rank United Center higher, because I have officially BROKEN MY CURSE of seeing my team lose at away arenas, but... listen. my decisions must be made by vibes and not wins.
4 - Meet The Rimouskis Family: Hockey Novices
I've been into hockey for over 6 years now, and I have never been to an NHL game with my family before! I was able to take my sister to a college game once, but that's all. this was a brand new experience for all of them, and I'm so appreciative that they were game. we learned a lot about ourselves... namely:
my middle sister is very easy to rope into sports, lol. she's not a Sports Girl by any means, but as she put it to me: "give [her] a team to root for and [she's] in". and in she was! when I offered to pack an extra jersey for her, she took it and repped Sid, which was sweet.
my family doesn't really get my interest in hockey but they are really sweet and accepting of it and game to go. it was funny, though, when the penguins would score and I would LAUNCH out of my seat screaming and fist-pumping and my family would just be sitting there ahahaha.
they were also not as adept in the art of worming-one's-way-through-hockey-crowds as I, but I'll admit that I'm impatient and short. they had a good time and honestly knew more than I gave them credit for. I did have to explain the concept of a power play to my sister, but my dad honestly held his own for the whole game. he'll watch pens games if they're on national broadcasts and text me about the results, which I find sweet. he's not a hockey guy, but he's finding it more palatable now that I'm into it and that fighting isn't as much of a thing as it was when he was a kid.
5 - The Arena Did Right By Geno
They really did. My parents were asking me ahead of the game if I thought Geno would get any recognition from the home team because of Hossa's retirement ceremony. I told them that I was hoping for a commercial-break titlecard, and sure enough, that's what we got!
Tumblr media
the fans in the building were REALLY good about it, too. lots of applause and cheering. I know I touched on it earlier but: the fans in this arena are loud. it's impressive. geno wasn't lying when he said it's a loud, intimidating arena to play in!
6 - Experience Penguins Hockey, Baby!
I regret to inform you that I Began Experiencing Hope as soon as he had a great start. my greatest folly was doing as the team did and thinking, wow, a three goal lead! we have this in the bag!
aha. wow. who would have guessed what was about to happen next!
Jumping around and cheering as the only person in your immediate vicinity doing said jumping and cheering is a weird experience! not sure if I recommend, but it helped I wasn't truly alone with my family there. I have a mixed experience about them all seeing how viciously into it I get, but... I can't help it, alas.
speaking of:
7 - Anxiety And You And The Pittsburgh Penguins: A Shitty Guide
I started getting nauseous after the 2nd hawks goal... and when we hit the last 10 minutes in the third period, I started bargaining with a god I do not believe in and mercifully asking him to, if the hawks were going to even it up, make it so that they scored THEN and not with less than five minutes to go. there are few things I hate more than an opponent evening up the game with POCKET CHANGE left on the clock. it's horrid.
so NATURALLY that's exactly what happened. I sat there and told myself it was fine :) it was fine I was used to this it was fine :) I've never seen them play in chicago before because we always suck in chicago it's fine :) nothing can hurt me hockey isn't real :)
8 - Sidney Crosby Said You Aren't Going To Ruin His Tall Beautiful Wife's Big Night
I can't express how animalistically I screamed when sid scored that goal. I can't. I launched out of my seat and was just RIOTING, an army of one, down at the ice. I might've alarmed my dad a bit. it's okay.
seeing him do that fuck you celly was An Experience unto itself. I literally commented to my dad that you DON'T see sid celly like that anymore.
well, you don't see him celly like that anymore unless he's winning the game for his brother-bestie-soulmate in a city he's never scored in. you know. all casual-like. nbd.
as @yabagofmalk said, love is real and it was invented in pittsburgh.
also BIIIIIIIG big thank you to the hawks fan who shouted "KILL SID" from behind me at the game. I know in my heart of hearts sid heard him and decided he was winning this game. in true form, the crowd booed loudly after he scored and also when his goal was announced over the speaker. it fueled him. and me. because I'm nice but sometimes playing villain is fun.
9 - FOMO, But, Like, From NOT Being Not-There?
I had a good time. I want to start this section by saying: this was fun and I'm so glad my family came and I got to show them ✨hockey✨ and MY TEAM WINNING.
however:
I actually feel liked I missed out on... a lot? by not being online and with you all and the twitter folks? it's weird, because while I was busy interacting IRL with my family and, like, the hawks fans I guess, I was missing out on EVERYTHING that was happening online with friends and other fandom members.
I can compare it to sid's 1000th, which we were ALL online for because of the pandemic. that sucked, and I would have given up a lot to have been there, but I very much felt PART of something by participating in online fandom spaces and experiencing that with me peers online.
and, weirdly, when you're there, it's like... sure you're experiencing it with ONE group of peers, but not the usual one? and perhaps not the ones who will most directly relate to your experience? it was an interesting feeling to have.
I guess this is all to say: these online spaces we share are so incredibly important and powerful and joyous, and I am (as always) so grateful to be a part of them. I love you guys!
10 - Evgeni Malkin ✨❤️
Geno is so colossally important to me. I was reflecting, as we left the arena, the trials and tribulations he's been through to get here. I was able to explain his ~escape~ story to my parents and it's one of those things where I've read and heard and talked so much about it that having a fresh set of ears listen to the story really drives home WHAT, exactly, he did to achieve his dream, and how nuts it was.
he's special, and I think the way the organization reacts to any mention of him—with wry, fond smiles and delighted laughs and ever-amused anecdotes—speaks more than any stat from the ice could.
how lucky we all are! how fortunate that we are all here, at this time, at this moment, to experience and appreciate this! no matter if you started watching penguins hockey 20 years ago or 2 months ago, you get to experience evgeni malkin. what a treat that is for all of us. how cool for things to line up in that way. what a night. what a player.
and kris... you're up next. break out the cat ears, buddy.
How long had it been? Dia didn't really know, her mind told her it was a few weeks, but her body made her feel like it was way longer. Stretching was still fine since she at least did that every day but just putting on her point shoes felt strange.
Standing on the barre doing a warm-up that she was used to doing, easy, or it should be. But just looking into the mirror made her see so many mistakes. Her legs were not turned out properly her feet not pointed well, and even her arm positions weren't exactly how they should be.
She could almost hear her old teacher in her head correcting what she was doing. Right now she wished the woman would be here to correct her... to guide her like she had done so many times before. Yet she was on her own, the fact that she even had time for this today a luxury in a way.
Tumblr media
After warmups, Dia found herself feeling lost, why was she even still bothering? She didn't even know what she wanted to dance. All the classics that she usually loved to do, she feared would only highlight how bad she had gotten. Part of her wanted to just sit down and cry, just give up, and find her peace that this was over.
She didn't though, putting on a song or more like letting the playlist randomly decide one. Letting it play while she walked toward the center of the room at first thinking about what to do, how to dance..
I let it fall, my heart And as it fell, you rose to claim it It was dark and I was over Until you kissed my lips and you saved me My hands, they were strong But my knees were far too weak To stand in your arms Without falling to your feet
Tumblr media
... Even though she was alone, Dia almost felt embarrassed to dance at first. She felt so stiff trying so hard to do the right things without even knowing what that would even be.
But there's a side to you That I never knew, never knew All the things you'd say They were never true, never true And the games you'd play You would always win, always win
Then the song picked up in intensity and the succubus did what she had not done in so long. Just give in to the music and dance not looking into the mirror too much and just let the song lead her.
But I set fire to the rain Watched it pour as I touched your face Well, it burned while I cried 'Cause I heard it screaming out your name Your name
Her movement was less stiff, as she moved through the whole room. Dia felt light things suddenly feeling so easy and for the first time in a while, she found herself with a genuine smile on her face.
Championship pt1 S.J
Scarlett Johansson x daughter!reader
Summary: Having a busy schedules makes it hard to pay attention to everyone.
Reader POV Recently, my mum has been ignoring me. She's at home the whole day but she spends her time with Rose and Colin. That is the fate of the adopted, being forgotten easily, being tossed aside. I guess I should be glad they remember to place my set of cutlery and bowls during dinner time. I wondered if I just walked out of the house would they notice?
"Hey mum..." I tried to get her attention.
"Wait. Can't you see I'm busy?" She continues to face her laptop typing away things that I cannot see. I nodded my head and walked back to my room. Busy, a word that everyone uses when they need an excuse not to do something. I guess she doesn't want to have to do anything with me at all. I held back my tears even though I was shaking.
The next morning, I left a note on her table. I wanted to talk to her yesterday because today is my Badminton Championship, the first time our club managed to get to the finals. I wanted to invite her since I know she's not doing any projects at the moment but I thought wrong, I should have invited Elizabeth instead.
This is what I get for having expectations, I get disappointed.
We get to skip the last two periods of school to get ready and head to the school that was hosting the championship. We did our warmups and listened to the coach's guidance. The opponents we were matched against were the reigning champions of badminton. It was tough but we managed to fight through and win 3 games to 2.
Our team jumped from their seats and cheered and cried at our victory. We finally won a trophy for our school! We had our group hug and went on with the victory ceremony. To celebrate the hard earned win and our effort not gone to waste, we decided to have a team dinner.
>time skip to after dinner<
The dreaded time has come. It managed to stay out of my head until I parted ways with my teammates and had to go back home. Since I was the captain (I wish), I was tasked with holding the trophy until the next day of school. Maybe with the proof in hand, I will manage to get her attention? To be worthy of her attention?
With a heavy heart, I pushed open the front door. As much as I tell myself I don't need her, I desperately wants her attention. I could hear my heart thumping as I walked towards the living room. The sight broke my heart, the three of them with Rose in the center. Hell, do they even know someone walked into their house?
"I'm back." I said to them with their back facing me. Did I not say it loud enough? It was only when Scarlett turned to grab her phone did she realise I was there, even then, she said.
"How long have you been standing there? Why haven't you changed out of your clothes? Do I have to tell you to do everything?"
If someone has microscopic hearing, they would have heard my heart breaking into a million pieces. I turned around and wiped my tears and headed back to my bedroom. I put the trophy on my desk before walking over to the window. My room is on the second floor (the next one from the ground floor). It shouldn't be that high right?
I looked down and gulped. I should be okay, I should be okay. I am an athlete. I can take this.
I took a deep breath and jumped and rolled on the floor as I landed. Thank goodness for watching so many action dramas.
I took out my phone and called Elizabeth. I thought I would be okay but once I heard her voice, I broke down. I haven't cried in front of Scarlett and I don't know what to say. "Y/N sweetie, why are you crying?"
Between my sobbing, I told her to come and pick me because I left the house. Without questioning, she came over and brought me over to her house.
"Oh shit. I forgot you were married." I stopped at the door.
"No... it's okay. Come on, let's bring you to the guest room."
"What happened? It's not like you to run out." She said after settling me on the bed.
"I-I don't know what to do... I know I should be grateful and- and many people would kill to be in my position. But I just want her attention." I cried until my eyes hurt. "I wanted to talk to her yesterday but she said she was busy. I placed a note on her table today hoping she'll come to my championship but she obviously didn't appear. She didn't even know I came into the house just now." I gripped onto Lizzie's shirt and cried onto her shoulders. "I don't know what to do..."
"You don't deserve this. Let me call Scarlett." She reached towards her back pocket for her phone.
"No no no. She doesn't know I'm not at home." I stopped her from calling Scarlett.
"Okay, but I'll be talking to her tomorrow."
"What about school?" I asked.
"Do you want to go to school?" I nodded. "Then I'll go over to your house tomorrow to help you pick up your school stuff."
I smiled and thanked her for allowing me to stay over and express my frustration. Before she left I asked "Is it too much to ask you to stay?" I really wanted someone to hold me.
"Of course not sweetie."
(jungwon's pov)
i watch y/n walk away. i can't believe that just happened.
"yah looks like i won the bet!" jake starts high fiving the other guys.
when he goes to high five me i snap. "THIS IS YOUR FAULT! BECAUSE OF YOUR STUPID BET I LOST THE WOMAN I LOVE THE MOST!" the gym goes silent
"woah dude calm down. you're the one that agreed to the bet," he puts his hand up in surrender.
i glare at him in anger and frustration, knowing it's not his fault. but mine.
*buzz
that buzz indicates that warmups are starting, the game is starting.
i walk away to go warm up not looking at anyone.
the whole game i can't focus. the only thing on my mind is her. how do i fix this? can i fix this? who took that stupid photo? i know she's hurting right now. i mean, the guy she trusted the most broke his promise.
i promised to never hurt her. i can't believe i did.
because of these thoughts, my mind couldn't comprehend what was happening in the game. i miss passes, miss baskets, failed to defend. coach pulled me off before it got worse.
"jungwon what's wrong man? you're not acting like yourself. you know you can talk to me about anything, right?"
"sorry coach, i'm just can't focus properly. i don't think i can play right now," coah nods understandably and i walk into the locker rooms.
"yang jungwon," a voice appeared as i was walking into the locker room.
"so now that you're single again, maybe we could be together now."
"chaeyeon i said no. nothing will ever happen between us."
"oh come on~ i know you pulled that "bet" stunt to get away from y/n and be with me~"
"chaeyeon i didn't okay. now please stop talking to me. you'll make things worse," and with that i walk away, into the locker room.
sobs and cries can be heard. they're all mine.
“How is it?” Sanji asked expectantly, his expression hopeful.
A tiny gray rat nibbled on some quiche it’d been given.
Upon seeing the creature’s enthusiasm as it took bite after bite, the young boy lit up. “I’m so glad you like it!”
Seemingly understanding Sanji’s words, the rat stuffed its mouth with the remaining bits of egg before reaching out its tiny hands to ask for more. The blonde boy happily complied, handing the rodent another bit of quiche.
“Prince Sanji.” A guard’s voice startled the boy, who turned slowly to meet disapproving eyes. “You should know better than to feed the rodents. It is already too much that you cook. It is not royalty’s place to serve others, especially a creature so far beneath you.”
Sanji frowned, handing the rat another morsel. “He’s hungry.”
The guard shook his head. “You’ll only anger King Judge by continuing both practices.”
At the mention of his father, Sanji felt fear grip his chest. Surely this guard wouldn’t tell his father. If so, that’d only bring on another beating from the man.
The boy stood as tall as his small frame would allow, his fists clenched as he tried to form a stern expression. “It isn’t a guard’s place to tell a royal what to do.”
At this, laughter erupted, its source just out of Sanji’s sight. The voices were unmistakable - his brothers were here.
As the three boys rounded the corner, Sanji took a step back into his bedroom. Turning in time to see the rat escape out a window, Sanji wished he could do the same.
“It’s a servant’s job to do as commanded.” Niji was the first to speak, his blue hair swaying as he marched happily towards his brother. “And if that command is to order a pathetic weakling like you around, then he will.”
Sanji’s lower lip quivered as he took another step backwards. “Why won’t you just leave me alone?!”
It was Ichiji’s turn to speak, his arms crossed as he leaned against the doorframe. “Because, you being so weak and cooking for rats makes the rest of us look bad.”
Yonji chimed in, his broad smile sadistic. “Plus, kicking the crap out of you is a great warmup for our real training!” The boy slammed his fist into an open palm, the resulting noise punctuating his statement.
The guard had taken his leave, allowing the quadruplets to hash things out on their own. Sounds of fists striking flesh were mingled with Sanji’s cries of pain.
***
“Why?”
The question wasn’t directed at anyone in particular. Herself, maybe. Her parents, more likely. But those answers would never come. She knew that, and still her soul longed for an explanation.
Why was she subjected to a life of misery? Her mother was the one who’d had an affair, resulting in her conception. Why was she the one to be punished? She hadn’t asked to be born - not to a cheating woman and not into a cruel household.
Why was she subjected to such barbarism? Why did her mother condone and participate in her mistreatment?
Why? Why? Why?
“Why what?” Sanji had gripped both her shoulders, searching her eyes for any sign she was still with him. His words felt like a far off whisper, meant to be heard by another set of ears than her own.
“Why was I born a Celestial Dragon?”
Sanji’s eyes widened as he took in the reality of Vera’s words. He opened his mouth to speak - to say something, anything - but before the words could begin forming, Vera had been ripped from his hands.
She’d begun running before registering that her feet had even moved. It was as though her body were on autopilot - moving without her input.
“Vera!” Sanji shouted after her, but her form had already become a tiny dot on the horizon.
Shit, Shit, Shit!
A memory was all it took, and now the truth was out. Sanji knew who she was. Knew what she was. He’d never look at her the same. Not with those kind eyes and gentle smile.
Tears continued to fall, wetting the ground as she ran. Still, her feet moved without direction. It was as though someone else had taken control of her body.
Where was she going? The Sunny was in the opposite direction. The festival was on the outskirts of town and only forest lay ahead of her. There wouldn’t be any doors for her to escape through.
What was she even trying to escape from? Now that her secret was out, surely the Strawhats would simply leave her on this island. She’d be stranded again, forced to resume working as a maid. Vera knew she could get by, but -
A shriek erupted into the night as she tripped over a tree root, tumbling forward and landing on her hands and knees. Dirt undoubtedly coated her as she rited herself and continued running, her tulle skirt now torn.
Images of the Strawhat Pirates flashed through her mind. Their laughter, their kindness, and their worry. Their friendship - she’d never experienced bonds so strong before. Vera had truly believed she’d finally found a place where she belonged. Where she was not only welcomed but wanted. Where she could be at ease, practicing her magic and expressing herself unhindered.
But that ease was what caused her current situation. She’d let her guard down, forgotten to keep specific information secret, and it had cost her the only home she’d wanted to keep.
She only had herself to blame.
Coming to a stop, Vera bent over and tried desperately to catch her breath. With both hands on her knees, she panted heavily into the night.
Even with the moonlight, the forest around her was barely visible. Any illumination the town would have provided was long gone, far behind her and unable to penetrate the dense grouping of trees and underbrush she now found herself in.
Surely, no one would come through here. Not at night, and not when there was a festival in town. She could rest - away from any prying eyes and away from the Strawhats. Though she doubted they would come looking for her.
***
“You lost her?!” Nami shouted in disbelief.
Upon realizing he couldn’t catch up to Vera, Sanji had bolted to the Sunny. Nami was the first crewmate he’d run into and immediately told her everything that had transpired, his voice and movements frantic. He now stood before the ginger navigator, panic taking hold of his erratic heart as he awaited her response.
She wasted no time, grasping the magic key which hung around her neck. Thrusting it into the nearest door, she flung the wood open. Before the pair stood Vera’s pocket dimension - the space appearing like a regular bedroom, sans the assorted collections of organized items which shared no connection - but the witch in question was nowhere to be found.
Cursing under her breath, Nami produced a transponder snail from her pocket and called the rest of the crew. Within moments, all nine Strawhats and Law were searching for their missing comrade.
“You’re sure that’s what she said?” Zoro’s eye narrowed as he scanned the area, a torch illuminating his path.
“For the last time, yes!” Sanji gritted his teeth, pushing down the urge to argue with his green-haired companion. “Her exact words were ‘Why was I born a Celestial Dragon?’. And then she ran off!” The blonde threw his hands into the air, the familiar feeling of defeat sinking his shoulders.
The crew had split up into groups of two for their search. Sanji had the misfortune of being paired with Zoro, the two assigned to the forest where Vera had last been seen running to.
“Hey, waiter.” Zoro grunts, regaining Sanji’s irate attention. “Look at this.”
On the forest floor before the pair sat a witch’s hat - the one Vera had been wearing earlier that evening. The fabric was now crumpled and dirtied, the wooden comb Sanji had won for her still nestled into its thick brim.
The chef took the hat into his hands and brushed off what dirt he could. Examining the forest floor, handprints and an upturned root showed which direction their companion had gone.
“Looks like we’re getting close.”
***
“Vera.” A soft voice spoke her name, inciting feelings of comfort and joy. A smile graced the girl’s lips at the sound.
She wasn’t sure who was talking, but she felt safe with the mystery speaker. Their tone was deep and smooth, reminiscent of polished mahogany.
“Sanji.” Her own voice came as more of a sigh than actual words, but she knew her sentiment was received. Her prince had come for her and now she was safe again.
“Vera.” The voice called again, louder than before but not forceful. The witch in question looked around, searching for the voice’s owner.
“Sanji?” She called into nothingness, not another soul in sight. “Where are you?”
When she didn’t receive an answer, Vera began to search more frantically. But still her efforts saw no results. Where was Sanji? She could hear him but she couldn’t see him. She couldn’t see anything. How long had the world been devoid of color?
“Vera!”
Dark eyes shot open at the abrupt shout, the rising sun glaring over the horizon. A hand was brought up to shield her eyes as her mind began its gradual return to reality.
She felt stiff all over, her neck and side sore from sleeping on the forest floor. Her brain was still foggy with sleep, causing her brows to furrow. “What time is it?” Her voice was hoarse.
“Does it matter?” The voice was deep and gruff, laced with annoyance. Distinctively not Sanji.
Vera opened her eyes once more, being met with a pair of piercing golden orbs. A head of shaggy black hair had eclipsed the sun. The witch frowned.
“Law.” His name dripped from her tongue like poison, clearly unhappy with her visitor.
The man chuckled, reaching a hand out to help her stand. “Don’t sound too disappointed. You’ll hurt my feelings.”
When she’d been brought to her feet, Vera took a moment to stretch. The morning air was cold and her festival outfit did little to protect her from the breeze that sent a shiver through her core.
Law raised an eyebrow, eyeing the girl’s attire as she yawned loudly. The thin bodysuit and tulle skirt were hardly covering her, let alone providing any warmth. “Here.” He allowed his thick jacket to slouch off his shoulders and offered the article to her.
She took a moment to process his gesture before taking the black jacket from his tattooed hands. “Thanks, . . .” Her voice wavered with uncertainty, making no attempt to disguise her lack of trust in this man.
As she wrapped the article around herself, its long fabric shielding most of her legs from the wind, Law turned towards the open ocean. “We should get you inside. Bet you’re hungry.”
Vera scoffed. “You expect me to go back to the Sunny? I’m sure Sanji told you everything.”
Law only placed his hands into the pockets of his speckled jeans and began walking before he spoke again. “We aren’t going to the Sunny.”
With hesitant footsteps, she began to follow. The pair walked along a rocky cliff, waves lapping at its exposed facets as gulls cried overhead. Peering down, what Vera saw caused her movements to falter - if for only a moment.
Moored to a craggy outcropping of rock sat a yellow submarine, its bright visage bobbing amidst the seafoam.
Waltzing (Tech x Reader) (Part 2)
Here is the link to part 1. I encourage you to read that one first!
word count: 2658 i think
warnings: smut (dom!afab!reader, sub!Tech, warmup rounds, p in v, and pillow talk. I’m pretty sure that’s it.), 18+, minors get out (respectfully)
There was no rush; you had plenty of time. Yet, you still felt the need to take action immediately.
You placed your hand on Tech’s chest and stepped forward quickly, obligating him to move back as you did so. His back was soon pressed against one of the walls in his bunk. You moved your hand off of his shoulder and slipped it under the hem of his shirt, resting it on his waist.
Tech squirmed a little and let out a shaky breath; he was nervous, which was an incredibly rare sight to see. You let out a small chuckle before placing a warm kiss on his lips to reassure him. He closed his eyes and melted into it, allowing himself to take a deep breath to attempt to slow his heart rate. It did help a little bit, but it sped up again once you rolled down the collar of his shirt to gain access to his neck. You planted soft kisses here and there, occasionally nipping at his skin to leave darkened spots. In response to the tingling sensation on his neck, Tech let out quiet whimpers, which then induced him to place a hand over his mouth. He feared that a certain someone on the ship might hear, even when the bunk’s door was closed.
“Your shirt,” you breathed, “get it off.”
He nodded and complied, revealing his torso to you. He looked away from you for just a moment in embarrassment, but his attention was brought back when you began to pepper his chest and collarbone with discolored patches. He inhaled sharply as the painful pleasure kicked in, trying his best to keep any noises from escaping his mouth. Your lips made their way down his chest, his waist, and stopped near his hips. You could see his breathing quicken and his face flush.
You looked up at him and inquired, “You’re sure you want to do this?”
“Yes, ner sarad. Please,” he whined.
You grinned and gave him a small nod of the head.
You bit on the waistband of the bottom-half of his blacks, pulling it down to reveal him further. He was already fully erect. You hovered your lips over his tip, giving him a little playful glance.
“You are.. teasing me… This is unfair..! I have waited long enough for this moment! I deserv–”
You cut him off by shoving a little bit of him inside of your mouth. He yelped and covered his mouth again, muffling the groans and cries that came from him. His reaction pleased you, and you could feel the warmth from between your legs growing more intense.
You bobbed your head up and down slowly at first, but Tech mumbled through his hand, “Faster, please, I’m already close..” You wanted to make this experience pleasurable for him, so you obeyed and did as you were told. Tech’s back arched against the cold metal wall of the ship, which sent chills running down his spine. He frantically looked for something to grip onto, but, unfortunately, there was nothing. However, he glanced back down at you, only to see the top part of your head. Your hair would suffice. So, he followed his thoughts and placed a hand on your head, gently grasping onto a few strands of hair.
The action caused you to look up at him with eyes that were so.. curious. Innocent, even. You leaned into his hand, his length still in your mouth. You stopped bobbing your head for a moment and began to move your tongue along the bottom of his shaft instead.
This pushed him over the edge.
He lurched forward and tugged on the handful of hair he had in his hand as he climaxed. He let out a shaky groan and he could feel his knees go weak. You let out a small cough as his cum slid down your throat, but had little to no problem swallowing all of it.
He leaned against the wall with his head tilted back, looking up at the ceiling as he regained his breath. He looked back down at you, but was surprised when he realized that you had already gotten up from your crouched position.
“That.. That was astonishing. Divine. Breathtaking,” he murmured.
“That’s great to know, but we’re not done yet. That was your warmup round.” You grinned as you took his upper arm in your hand and pulled him away from the wall. You guided him towards his bunk, pushing him onto it once you got there.
“What..? But, I have already–”
“I know, I know, but I haven’t.”
“We.. We can indulge ourselves further later..! Perhaps we should take a brief moment to regulate respiration and our heart rates–?”
You interrupted his speech with a kiss.
“Quit delaying,” you griped.
You got onto the bunk with him, straddling both of his legs. You scooched forward slightly and rested your still-clothed hips on top of his shaft.
Tech nodded his head and stared up at you with his beautiful brown eyes.
Oh, those eyes.
They were like pools of honey, deeper than the galaxy itself. When the sunlight hit his visage just right, his eyes scintillated in the most magnificent way. And every time you came into view, their job was to immediately shift his gaze to you, and only to you.
You couldn’t help but stare and place a gentle hand on the side of his face. Your touch was warm, and he leaned into it. He closed his eyes and a vague smile formed. His smile was contagious, and a grin soon grew on your face as well. Despite wanting to see him smile like that for the rest of your life, you leaned down to place an amorous kiss on his lips softly.
After you received a peck in return, you rocked your hips against him slowly, which drew a groan out of him.
The inseam of your leggings was becoming damp, and you felt more and more antsy as time went by.
Finally, you moved off of Tech to strip yourself of your clothing. Tech thought that he shouldn’t watch as you took off your clothes, but he did it anyway. He couldn’t tear his eyes away from you; you were gorgeous.
After unclothing yourself, you moved back to how you were previously positioned. As you grinded against him for a little longer, the room filled with slight echoes of his moans. You placed a hand over his mouth as a wicked grin ran across your face.
“You wouldn't wanna wake anyone up now, would you?” you teased.
Despite shaking his head, Tech continued to whine and whimper somewhat loudly. He was beginning to feel grateful that you put your hand over his mouth.
You forced your clit down against him harder, which got a noisy reaction from the both of you. Tech desperately grabbed at his bedsheets, but it didn’t really help him in any way. You noticed the futile sheet-grabbing and couldn’t help but laugh a little.
“Awh, need me to hold your hand?”
“...Woul’ be qui nie (Would be quite nice),” he muttered through your fingers.
You didn’t expect him to actually answer, but you didn’t hesitate to take one of his hands in yours. He gripped it fairly tightly, which hurt a little bit, but it was no big deal to you.
As you continued to grind yourself against him, you leaned forward and kissed him deeply. You could feel his groans grow louder as you kept your mouth against his. He pulled away and began to repeat frantically, “Wait, wait, wait.. Slow– Slow down,” he pleaded.
Unfortunately for him, the pleading got you even more riled up, so you did the opposite of what he requested and sped up.
He gasped and cursed quietly due to the change in pace. In a near instant, his breath hitched and his back arched slightly as he climaxed again. His cum landed on his lower-torso. You used your finger to clean it off, then got off of him to wipe your finger with a tissue.
When you left to clean him up, Tech’s body went limp against his mattress as he panted to try to regain his composure.
He placed an arm over his face as he closed his eyes, almost drifting off to sleep.
Almost.
You plopped yourself down onto his bed beside him and gave him a few playful pecks on his face and neck. You repeated his name between kisses.
“Tech, darling, sit up for me.”
He let out a low, unheard mumble in response.
“Hm?”
“..Tired…”
“Oh, but, my love, we’re still not done.”
Tech propped himself up by his elbows and gave you a drained look. He tried to widen his eyes in shock, but his body wouldn’t let him.
“Re–Really..? You are not… messing with me?”
“Nope. Now, sit up for me please, dear.”
His heart raced as he heard you call him those sweet things. He nodded his head and slowly sat himself up, placing his palms against his mattress to keep himself up.
“What– What are you going to do now..?” he asked, voice wavering.
“You’ll see.”
You straddled him again, but this time you hovered your entrance above the tip of his cock.
At this point, he guessed what was going to come next.
“Oh.”
You slammed yourself down onto him, causing the both of you to moan out loudly. It seemed that the two of you forgot that there were others on the ship.
You brought yourself up and down on him quickly, and Tech’s whole body seemed to twitch and flinch with every movement.
“Sens–Sensitive,” he gasped. He already felt close to cumming again, and it had only been a few moments.
Luckily for him, you felt close too. You mercifully slowed your pace a decent amount. You wanted this moment to last longer; you had waited for this for so long.
You brought your hands to his face and kissed him slowly, but in a deeply passionate way at the same time. Now that the overstimulation lessened, Tech was able to move his shaky hands from his bed sheet to your hips as the two of you kissed.
When you broke away for air, you gave him a small, fond smile before stopping your movements completely. A perplexed look grew on his face.
“..What?– Do you need anything?”
“Oh, well, I just thought that maybe you were right. I think I should let you take a break.”
“Now? Why.. Why now?”
“Why not? I wouldn’t want you to fall asleep,” you joked.
“I.. I am no longer tired. Continue please,” he whined, “I was.. I was so close. I want more. I need more.”
Tech desperately thrusted upwards into you gently, letting out quiet grunts as he did so.
He let out a small, frustrated sigh. It didn’t feel the same when he did it like that. He wanted you to move.
“Please move. Please,” he begged.
You placed a finger on your chin, acting like you were deep in thought for a moment, until you began moving your hips up and down on him again. You went even faster than you had done before. In between moans, you asked breathily, “You like this?”
It took Tech a while to respond to your question. It even took him a few moments just to process the question. The wave of pleasure hit him like a train; he was rendered speechless for a bit.
When he finally answered your question, he just nodded his head quickly and repeated the word “yes” deliriously.
Eventually, you both met your climax at around the same time, electrifying shivers running through both of your bodies. You stopped moving and leaned forward to rest your head in the crook of his neck. The only part of you that moved was your chest because you were breathing so hard.
You gently placed your arms on Tech’s shoulders, bringing your head back up to look at him.
“You okay?”
“Yes, but my heart rate is unusually high, as well as my body temperature.”
“Yeah, haha! Do you want me to get you some water or something?”
As you asked him the question, you got off of him slowly to grab your clothes from off of the floor.
“Some water would be nice, but,” he began to get out of bed, “I am perfectly capable of gettin–” You pushed your hand against him, urging him to just stay in bed.
“I’ll get it for you, hon. Don’t worry.”
After you had gotten all of your clothing items on, you kissed Tech’s forehead and flashed a smile before leaving the bunk.
You made your way to the cabin where there was a small counter with a sink situated in it. You grabbed a canister and turned on the tap to fill it up. You heard footsteps behind you, and you let out a sigh.
“Tech, I told you to stay in bed..! Did you really miss me that mu– Ah!”
You had turned around to find Omega, who looked up at you with worried eyes.
“Are you okay? I heard some noises coming from Tech’s bunk, and I was worried that something happened to you guys!”
You couldn’t help but gasp quietly. You brought your hand to your mouth and chewed on one of your fingernails.
“Nope! We are completely fine! One of Tech’s projects just… uh, caught fire, yeah. But, we’re okay! Don’t tell Hunter.”
“Whew! Okay, I’m glad you guys are okay. But, about Hunter… I already woke him up to ask if you guys were okay. He said that he didn’t wanna check on you guys ‘cause he knew you both had everything under control.”
You held in a sigh of relief.
“Yep! He was right! Um, you know, it’s really late. You need to go back to sleep, kiddo.”
“Alright. Goodnight!”
“Goodnight.”
Omega made her way back to her room and you made your way back to Tech’s.
When you entered, you closed the door behind you and handed Tech the water.
“I’m sorry that took a little while. Turns out that Omega heard us and thought something was wrong.”
You chuckled and sat down next to him on the bed.
After taking a sip of water, Tech replied, “Then I am positive that Hunter must have heard us.”
“He did. Omega actually woke him up to ask if we were okay.”
Tech placed a hand over his face and let out a small laugh, crinkling his nose slightly.
“I suppose I was being too loud. To justify myself, I have never done this act with anyone before.”
“What?!” you whisper-screamed. You didn’t believe him. He did so well for his first time, but then again, Tech is like that with all things.
Tech gave you a simple nod of the head and finished off the water in the canister he held.
He soon added, “I am..” he paused, thinking of the right word to say. “I am elated about the fact that you were my first.”
“I am, too. But, you could have told me that and I would have gone easier on you!”
“Do not worry. I am absolutely satisfied with how it went. You make me look forward to the future.”
You made an ‘aww’ sound before wrapping your arms around him to pull him closer to you.
“You make me look forward to the future, too.”
You took his empty water canister from him and placed it on the metal flooring next to the bed. You then situated yourself so that you lay down beside Tech, arms and leg wrapped around him.
“Tech, I love you.”
Your statement was met with soft snores from the man next to you, but you weren’t upset. You knew he would say it if he was awake. You kissed his forehead gingerly before closing your eyes.
“Goodnight, my genius.”
