I'm not gonna really talk about the movie outside of those posts I reblogged and "why the fuck is Gerald alive." I was excited for the movie before but the more I hear about it the more disappointing it sounds and the more I don't care about seeing it

the fact that gerald was supposed to have once been a truly kind man, a humanitarian, a scientist dedicated to the enrichment and prosperity of humanity only to spiral into vile and hate when the reason behind his kindness was snatched by the same humanity he once served…. insanity inducing

#PONDERING GERALD ROBOTNIK TIME.#he was such a good fucking villain they could have very easily went #oh actually he was dick this entire time! he was just some nosy scientist! he just wanted to play god!#but no! they put maria into the equation and they gave gerald humanity and they made him into a kind #genuine humanitarian #who initially REJECTED project shadow because he thought it was hubristic to play god #he’s so neat.#sega official speaks #that said i DO have many questions over his intentions (given the research he does)#but sega’s narrative presents him as a tragic figure. a good man until hatred seeped into his soul.#so im inclined to believe he WAS a good man #until further evidence solidifies #even if his research was at times questionable

Do you think the ARK scientists (who probably spent most of their time around humans) thought it was weird shadow was nakey and tried to make him wear clothes?

I finally just sat down and watched the All Creatures Great and Small Christmas Special for this year, and... ouch.... my heart.... 😭😭

#I don't even know how to describe it tbh #extremely bittersweet I guess?#but I actually really loved it #and I was almost full-on crying by the last scene #I actually did have tears in my eyes which is somewhat rare for TV #(I think I usually cry easier at books than I do visual media for some reason?)#all of the characters... everything they're going through right now... it's so much but it all is being written with such care #I loved what they did with Siegfried and Tristan and Mrs. Hall #I think I have a lot of feelings but no real thoughts right now lol #mostly I'm just having feels #oh but the scene with Mrs. Hall and Gerald--I thought it was very nicely played tbh #and of course I would be remiss if I didn't mention how noteworthy it is that Siegfried saw that. ghjdhjhsjhs. wonder what this'll lead to #all creatures great and small #all creatures great and small spoilers #acgas 2020 #gurt says stuff
