I took the last three of those blind box things and was giggling the whole way to the checkout lane. I couldn't even wait until I got home I was so excited. I opened them in my car in the parking lot.

Dustin was the first box I opened and when I tell you I squealed.

As far as your query, I shall start with the wonderful Mrs. Joyce Byers, because I know I haven't talked about her, but I get the vibes from her that she sort of... takes in any wayward child she encounters and adopts them as her own, and the fandom seems to agree in the sense that it's basically fanon at this point that Joyce takes care of Steve. This goes into some backstory for my s/i that I may write about one day, but I had this idea that the outcasts banded together in a way, and Rebecca became rather good friends with Jonathan. Now, being friends with the eldest Byers boy led to Joyce taking a vested interest in Rebecca, and Joyce becomes the Mom-Not-Mom that Rebecca goes to with nearly everything. ( I went back and rewatched S1 ST with a friend who wanted to get into stranger things but didn't want to watch it alone and i have Emotions regarding Joyce okok ).

Now, considering the gentlemen of the hour, it's getting near Halloween, so i've been fully consumed by the Halloween Headcanon Monster, and all I can think about is fall/halloween based stuff. Dustin manages to convince his big sister to go trick or treating with him, and she agrees to go along with him and the other kids because they 'need supervision'. He's more than happy to drag Dorothy out into the night with him, and the kids run her all around Hawkins. I've got it in my mind that Dorothy has a pickup truck, and it's the 80s, so they finish off a neighborhood and all the kids hop in the back to head to the next neighborhood. After they've gotten their fill of candy, everyone parts ways and Dustin begs Dorothy to take him to the special Corroded Coffin Halloween show. After enough begging, and a decent amount of bribery, she gives in, and brother and sister are sneaking back home at some ungodly hour of the morning, long after the show's over.

Steve, on the other hand, knows he's going to get roped into whatever the kids have planned for Halloween as the resident Mom Friend, so he opts to plan out a super cute day of things to do with Rebecca before he asks her if she'll help him supervise on Halloween, which she of course says yes to, because her and the party get along great. But when I say cute, I mean cute. He goes all out with coffee in the morning, and a walk around Hawkins to look at all the leaves changing colors, then there's a little drive out to an orchard for a hayride and pumpkin picking, and cider and donuts before the drive back into Hawkins, where Steve has prepared a bunch of feel-good movies for a night in. ( even if it's all partially because he thinks he needs to butter her up before requesting her assistance with his children, which he totally didn't. )

Well "ship" usually refers to head-cannoning/wanting two characters to be romantically involved. Even if they are not in canon. Blue and Seafoam aren't a ship, they just are.. well, together. Its written into the canon that they are together. So its not a ship and its feels a lot different than a ship would..

As for Peach and Mario, a quick google search says they are canonically mutually romantically interested in each other. Same with Luigi and Daisy. I only tagged my posts as "Mario x Peach" and "Luigi x Daisy".. because that's what people search for when they wanted to see romantic content of those characters-

And even if google straight up lied/is wrong and it turns out not to be confirmed? Those two pairings are so strongly suggested/implied in canon, that I don't get any of negative feelings I associate with ships.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I just don't like ships. It really isn't my thing for a lot of reasons. There's a loooot of not great feelings associated with them. None of my own characters make me feel that way becuase I created them. And their relationships are written into the story..

And the Mario pairings are canon. Or at the very least, they are soooo strongly implied, that I don't get any of the negative feelings associate with ships even if they weren't canonically a thing.. I hope that made sense..?

As far as your invitation, my thoughts have been on fall trying it's best to arrive, and what that would look like in the various friend groups i've pushed myself into.

Fall pushes into San Francisco, and all anyone really cares about is the snacks, and the fact that Halloween is just around the corner. I can say Sitara and I are most definitely going to be going from store to store to gather up all the fall themed snacks and apple cider we can get our hands on.

Fall arrives on Yara, and not much changes. This is the tropics, after all. However, Libertad is definitely celebrating the changing season, and Dani and I are definitely going to wind up driving all over the island to find decorations for the various groups to make their bases a little more festive.

Fall in Hawkins sees both my s/is playing babysitter to the party. Whether or not it's Steve and Rebecca fighting to wrangle the kids to go do something together as a group, or it's Dustin roping his sister into the party's spooky season pranks. On either side, I can see a hayride in our future. The whole nine yards, hayride, pumpkin picking, hot apple cider and donuts.

Fall in Hope County sees one of the few times that the resistance and the project call a truce. Any kids in the county are more than welcome to come for treats at the veteran's center and the compound. There will more than likely be a giant Halloween party thrown, which i'd end up helping Mary May prep for, because she knows I wouldn't mind helping. And if the Hope County Sheriff's Deputies are helping organize the pranks they're supposed to be trying to stop, that's somebody else's problem. ( Probably Sheriff Whitehorse. )

Fall is Astoria's favorite season. Once Astoria and I wind up in Mystic Falls, we have a little more of a chance to interact with the changing seasons, and there's a bunch of going out for coffee and enjoying the leaves changing around town, and there's definitely a lot of late nights watching all our favorite movies with a bunch of junk food.

BORN AND RAISED in the small, sleepy town of Hawkins in Indiana County, Theodora Brenner, better known to her intimates as Dora, was quiet and emotionless.

However, Dora was far from an ordinary teenager. As the biological daughter of Doctor Martin Brenner, the infamous scientist responsible for the cruel and supernatural experiments in the secret laboratory located in the city's energy department, she is constantly protected by federal agents. They discreetly accompany her at almost all times of the day, ensuring her safety and trying to keep her away from her father's shady dealings.

Despite all the constant protection, Theodora managed to escape the watchful eyes of the agents to party with her friends, showing that she is not just a pretty face, but also has a rebellious and cunning mind.

It is during one of her nocturnal escapes that Dora first encounters the strange flower-headed humanoid creature lurking in the shadows. At first, he believes it to be a bad trip caused by mixing drugs and alcohol.
