i know not many people would want to read a 10,000 word article about the minecraft end poem and how the author, Julian Gough, was never fairly compensated for his work and has made it public domain.

But it's a very well-written and heartfelt read, and he makes it very clear that none of this is a cash-grab and despite the fact that he is essentially a starving artist in this capitalist society, he only mentions his financial struggles despite Minecraft's huge huge success at the bottom of this article and not in the tweets so as to not dilute his message.

Anyway, I just think it'd be cool if those who are able to could support him in some way whether it be subscribing to his substack or donating to his paypal (that's linked in the article, you can ctrl + F to find it easier), that's all.

I dunno if there's a rallying cry or some kind of ancient incantation I gotta bust out, but HEY TRANSMASC FOLKS AND TRANS MEN, EXCUSE ME PLEASE. I'm a trans dude with a small-ish YouTube channel working on a video about the erasure of transmasculinity, particularly in the wake of the recent debacle involving a former YouTuber who I won't mention directly but his name rhymes with Sames Jomerton. His plagiarism of Alexander Avila and Jes Tom, and outright misgendering of ND Stevenson got me fired up about how often we're overlooked or merely an asterisk in queer discourse, so much so that even those of us in this community need to search high and low for resources on our history and health care. So I'd like to hear from you. If you're comfortable, I'd love for anyone who's part of this community (and not a transmedicalist) to message me directly with something you wish more people knew about us, or an anecdote about one of your experiences (happy, sad, angering, your call.) A paragraph or two is ideal--for longer posts, I will likely not be able to include them in their entirety, but I will quote them where I can. If you'd like to be involved, please let me know if you'd prefer to be anonymous or to have your name dropped and socials linked; I'm hoping for the latter given that the idea is to shout out more artists and creators, but I want to give the anons space to be heard, too. To put it simply, we were not at all expecting this blog to reach this level of popularity (thank you!!), and thus were completely unprepared for the amount of submissions we got - over 20,000! At our pace, posting one submission per hour, it would take us about two years to do all of them (not accounting for duplicates, so the real ETA would be a bit less, but still just as preposterous.)

So, before the backlog gets even more ridiculous, we've decided to close submissions, effective one week from now. We don't know when or if we'll open them again, so get them in now - but do keep in mind that, ultimately, nobody knows if this blog will even still be running two years from now, so it's no guarantee!

To preemptively answer a few questions:

The blog is not closing down - we will continue to operate as usual.

We have no plans of increasing our post rate beyond one per hour. We have enough on our plate as-is.

Dina has messaged me asking me to share her campaign. Please read what she has shared.

Dina, Noor, Omar and Farah's story

Dina's a mother of three: the oldest, Noor, who's 7-years old; her second, Omar, who's 5-years old; and her youngest whom she gave birth under bombing recently, Farah.

On the night of October 28th, their neighborhood in Gaza was completely bombed. It was subjected to violent severe shelling, shattering glass all over the place and spreading suffocating gunpowder in their house. Omar was wounded by the shattered glass caused by the intense shelling.

Since then, they've been continually displaced; goods became scarce and expensive. Her children suffered from epidemics and skin diseases caused by the pollution in the camp. Noor was infected with viral hepatitis as a result of the shared bathrooms. Omar recently got struck by blisters all over his body. There is no hospital or treatment available due to the situation.

Dina's wish is to create and ensure a better, safer future for her children, where they can live their childhoods gleefully.

Leaving Gaza is the only way they can achieve this.

However, there's been a continuous problems, and that is that her posts have barely gotten any traction, only receiving small donations here and there.
