if I go silent for a few days this week (just as a forewarning because idk what I’m doing these days honestly) it’s cause I’m trying to force my hand to draw on my laptop because as of recent it’s been getting harder and harder to work up to, but it’s not artblock because I seem to be drawing on quite literally everything else except for my laptop. or I’ve passed out the moment I come home from work. either way deems inactivity to an extent

i look up from my phone and see chris and his brothers standing there, huge smiles spread across their faces. chris has a sign in his hands with my name scribbled in his chicken scratch handwriting.
i run over to them, my feet barely touching the ground as i sprint, weaving in and out of people and their luggage.
“chris!” i call out, his arms opening wide to catch me as i throw myself into his embrace. the strength and warmth of the hug enveloping my body completely.
he lifts me off the ground, spinning us around as we both laugh. the sound echoing through the terminal. just for a second it felt like we were the only two people in the world. i bury my face in his shoulder, taking in the familiar comforting scent of his cologne.
“i missed you so much.” i whisper. my voice choked with emotion.
“missed you more.” he replied. his voice laced with the same emotion.
he sets me down gently and i look up into his eyes, feeling an overwhelming sense of relief and happiness.
we were together again and nothing else mattered.
i hug matt and nick. who then tell me that they had no idea until this morning that i was coming.
“chris!” i look over at him, with my eyes wide.
“what? i forgot.” he shrugs. i smile and roll my eyes.
as we walk toward the exit, chris grabs my suitcase from my hands.
“here i got that.” he tells me.
“chris-“
before i can protest, he cuts me off. “i got it.”
i accept defeat, knowing chris wasn’t going to let up on his stubbornness.
“and they say chivalry is dead.” nick sighs, earning a laugh from the rest of us.
we get to the car and chris loads up my suitcase.
“nick you can sit in front.” chris says, opening the car door for me before going around the the other side and getting in.
“you’re letting nick have front? what’s gotten into you?” matt says shocked, turning around in his seat and looking at chris.
“i’m just excited to catch up with y/n. that okay with you?” chris fired back, slightly annoyed.
matt puts his arms up in defense. “nothing wrong with it. just surprised is all.”
the ride to the triplets house is nothing short of what i imagined it being. arguing over who had aux, dragging whoever had aux, arguing over what we were gonna eat later, the usual.
once we arrive, chris opens the door for me again. “chris i know how to open my own door.” i tell him.
he just grins and shakes his head. “no chance. i’m doing everything for you. don’t even lie, i know you love the princess treatment.”
i laugh, feeling both amused and touched at his insistence. “seriously chris, i appreciate it but im totally capable.”
“come on, let me spoil you a little.” he says.
“chris you literally flew me out to la with a first class plane ticket. you’ve done enough spoiling.” i roll my eyes playfully and we walk inside.
“there’s plenty more where that came from. trust me” he winks.
“whatever. just don’t get too used to it. i don’t want you thinking im helpless or something.” i say following him to his room.
“i know you’re far from helpless y/n. just let me have this.” he opens his bedroom door, letting me in and following in after.
i notice a small bedside table, loaded with all the snacks he bought me.
“did you seriously buy all of that for me?” i smile.
he runs the back of his neck and smiles back at me sheepishly “yeah. i just wanted to make sure you had everything you needed. i got pads and stuff too, they’re in my bathroom under the sink. and a toothbrush and toothpaste.”
i felt a warmth spreading through me. “you’re the best chris. like actually.”
“anything for you. i wanted to make sure it was perfect.” he shrugs, trying to play it cool.
“well i think you did a pretty good job.” i smile.
he looks over at me and our eyes lock for a moment. “i’m really glad you’re here.”
“me too chris.” i say softly, feeling a flutter in my chest.
i have a feeling this is going to be the death of me.

The car ride was tense, with only the sound of tires humming against the asphalt breaking the silence. You stared out the window, watching the trees blur by, trying to suppress the anxiety gnawing at you.
“We need to get to the train station,” you suggested, breaking the silence.
Bucky’s grip on the steering wheel tightened. “Too risky. We have to stay low for a while.”
You nodded, your mind racing through the possibilities. If a motel or hotel was too dangerous, where could you go? “We should camp. I have the gear in the car.”
Bucky glanced at you, a small nod of approval. “Good.”
The awkward silence returned, thick and suffocating, until a small voice broke through.
“This is destiny,” Lori murmured, her face lighting up as she reached into her bag to pull out a notebook. She began scribbling furiously.
You and Bucky exchanged a confused look. “What’s got you writing all of a sudden?” you asked, raising an eyebrow.
“New ideas for my fanfiction,” Lori said, her tone excited.
You sighed, running a hand through your hair. “Lori…”
Bucky kept driving, his eyes scanning the road ahead until he found a secluded area surrounded by trees. He maneuvered the car off the road, hiding it as best he could among the foliage.
“Who is she, really?” Bucky asked, his tone serious.
“My niece,” you replied, your voice low.
Lori, sensing the conversation was about her, raised her hand like she was in class. “Oh, I have a confession to make. I’m the one who replied to your email.”
Bucky’s eyes widened as he turned to you, his expression a mix of disbelief and something else. “Can’t say I’m not a little disappointed. But thanks to her, I finally know your real name.”
Lori, completely missing the tension in the air, beamed. “You didn’t even know each other’s names, but you kept looking for her? That’s so romantic.”
Bucky shot you a look, his expression unreadable, but the way his gaze lingered made you uncomfortable. Was she really your niece? He couldn’t help but wonder.
You shook your head, grabbing your bag and pulling out a burner phone. You needed to call your sister and let her know you were taking Lori with you, that things had gotten… complicated.
Lori, oblivious to the serious undertone of the situation, watched you and Bucky closely, analyzing every glance and gesture. Through her writer’s lens, she saw the tension between you two as something else entirely. She grinned, her mind already spinning a new story of enemies-turned-lovers.
“Uh, I have a question,” Lori piped up. “After I replied, did you immediately read it?”
Bucky didn’t answer, his silence louder than any words could be. Lori took it as confirmation. “So, before you replied, you rushed to find my cool aunt, and when you got closer, you finally sent it. That’s such dedication to chasing love.” She squealed, hugging her notebook to her chest like a love-struck fangirl.
🥀🥀🥀🥀
Both of you walked in silence, the tension between you growing thicker with every step. You stayed close to the car, unwilling to stray too far, as if the vehicle was the only thing grounding you in this increasingly chaotic world.
“We can’t be together,” you finally said, your voice heavy with regret.
“But—” Bucky began, but you cut him off.
Without a word, you reached up and tugged down your collar, revealing a line of jagged scars etched into the skin of your neck. You usually kept them hidden under layers of makeup, but today, there was no time for that. The collar had been your only shield.
“These… they still haunt me,” you confessed, your voice barely above a whisper.
Bucky’s eyes softened, and without hesitation, he pulled up his shirt to reveal the scars marring his shoulder. The sight of them made your heart twist with guilt.
“It’s not just you,” he said, his voice low and filled with a shared pain. He stepped closer, the distance between you shrinking as if it was the most natural thing in the world. “We were both in the wrong.”
In the world of espionage, trust was a luxury neither of you could afford. You had been a double agent, living in the gray area between loyalty and betrayal. Bucky, a triple agent, had danced even closer to the edge. The scars you both bore were reminders of the countless times trust had been shattered.
The real reason you were being hunted wasn’t just because you were a skilled operative; it was because you had broken a vow. You had promised never to contact Bucky again, a promise made under the threat of being burned by your agency. But you had broken that promise, and now, you were paying the price.
“Bucky…” you whispered, your voice filled with an ache you couldn’t suppress. But your words died in your throat as you caught sight of movement behind a tree.
Lori. Your creative, ever-curious niece was hiding, scribbling furiously in her notebook as if she was documenting your every word.
“So, both of them feel guilty. It haunts them,” Lori muttered to herself, her eyes wide with fascination as she jotted down her thoughts.
You sighed deeply, the weight of everything crashing down on you. You marched over to Lori, grabbing her bag with a grunt. “Why is this so heavy?” you demanded, feeling the strain in your arm. Then it hit you. “Didn’t I tell you not to bring your books?”
Lori snatched her bag back, clutching it to her chest protectively. “No! I can’t live without them. This one is my favorite.”
You sighed again, rubbing your temples as if it would somehow alleviate the stress of the situation. Arguing with Lori was pointless; she was as stubborn as you were. You glanced over at Bucky, who had been watching the exchange with an amused yet concerned look.
“We should set up camp here,” you said, your voice resigned but firm.
Bucky nodded, but the way his eyes lingered on you told you that he wasn’t just agreeing to the plan; he was agreeing to this unspoken understanding that, despite everything, you were in this together, whether you liked it or not.
As you began to unpack the gear, the reality of your situation weighed heavily on you. The scars, the guilt, the constant running—it was all too much. But here you were, setting up camp in the middle of nowhere with a man who was both your greatest ally and your deepest regret, and a niece who seemed determined to make you believe again in romance.
And all you could think about was how much it hurt, how much it haunted you, and how much you wished things could be different. But in the world you lived in, wishes were just as dangerous as promises.
🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀
After setting up the camp, you busied yourself with preparing dinner. The sun had dipped below the horizon, leaving behind a dusky twilight that painted the sky in shades of purple and orange.
The scent of the forest mingled with the aroma of the food, creating a comforting atmosphere that contrasted sharply with the tension from earlier.
Bucky sat by the lake, his figure a dark silhouette against the shimmering water. He occasionally stole glances in your direction, watching as you moved with practiced efficiency. The sight of you, so capable and yet so burdened, stirred something in him that he couldn’t quite name.
A soft voice broke the stillness. “🎵I’m just a talking plant, don’t mind me,🎵” Lori sang in a playful, lilting tone as she twirled her way over to Bucky. She stopped beside him, her eyes gleaming with mischief. “Do you like my aunt?” she asked, her tone innocent yet oddly probing.
Bucky blinked, caught off guard by the directness of the question. What’s wrong with this kid? He raised an eyebrow, trying to mask his surprise.
Lori, undeterred by his silence, continued with a knowing smile. “I get it. You’re a man of few words. You’re exactly like the male character from this book.”
She held up the novel she’d been carrying, the title "The Red Swan" emblazoned on the cover. Bucky tilted his head, the title vaguely familiar but not enough to place it.
“Are you really her niece?” Bucky asked, his curiosity piqued by Lori’s strange mix of wisdom and childlike wonder.
Lori shrugged a carefree gesture that spoke volumes. “My dad is a theater teacher.”
Bucky nodded slowly, the pieces falling into place. That explained a lot—her flair for the dramatic, her perceptiveness, her relentless curiosity.
“Here,” Lori said, thrusting the romance novel into his hands.
“Why?” Bucky asked, looking down at the book with a mix of skepticism and curiosity.
Lori sighed as if explaining something painfully obvious. “It’s as clear as the sky is blue that you like my aunt. But you never express it. If your actions alone aren’t enough, you need to use your words. From the start, you’ve only said thirty-one words. None of us can read each other’s minds.”
Bucky found himself unexpectedly impressed. This kid had been counting his words? And, annoyingly enough, she was right. He glanced at Lori, who gave him a confident salute, her eyes twinkling with a mix of innocence and cunning.
“Trust me,” she said with a playful wink before scampering back over to you, her small figure darting between the trees with the energy of a whirlwind.
Bucky watched her go, a slight smile tugging at the corners of his lips. There was something endearing about Lori’s antics, the way she seemed to bring a different side out of you, a side he hadn’t seen before. A side he realized he wanted to know more about.
He shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts, and looked down at the book Lori had handed him. Romance novels had never been his thing, but something about the way she insisted piqued his interest.
He flipped to the summary on the back cover, his eyebrows raising in mild surprise at the plot. It was more intricate than he’d expected, with themes of loyalty, betrayal, and forbidden love woven through the narrative.
Intrigued despite himself, Bucky began reading, his fingers brushing the pages as he turned them. As he read, his breath hitched slightly. The story was compelling, drawing him in with its depth and emotion. “This is… interesting,” he murmured to himself, unable to deny the pull of the story.
🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀
The next morning, the three of you made your way to the train station. It was too risky to fly; the airport would be crawling with potential threats. You handled the ticket counter, purchasing a ticket for Lori while she waited with Bucky a short distance away. She noticed the way he kept his eyes on you, his gaze lingering as if trying to memorize every detail.
Unable to stand the silence any longer, Lori leaned over and pinched his thigh. “You should talk to her,” she whispered, her tone insistent.
Just then, you returned, holding the tickets in your hand. “Alright, I got it,” you said, glancing at Bucky. “I guess this is goodbye. Thanks for helping us.” Your voice was steady, but there was an undercurrent of something unsaid, a tension that hung in the air.
Bucky hesitated, his thoughts warring within him. Then, out of nowhere, he felt a sharp kick to his shin. Lori again, urging him forward. “Say something before you lose this chance!” she hissed.
“Seven years,” Bucky finally said, his voice rough with emotion.
“What?” You turned to him, confused by his sudden declaration.
“I’ve been looking for you and waiting for seven years,” he continued, his eyes locking onto yours.
The words hit you like a tidal wave, stirring up emotions you’d buried deep. Your breath caught in your throat, and your heart pounded in your chest. Seven years. The weight of those words hung between you, thickening the air. Lori squealed beside you, her excitement palpable, but you could barely hear her over the rush of blood in your ears.
Bucky took a step closer, his voice lowering to a near whisper. “I never stopped thinking about you. I never stopped searching. Every lead, every dead end—it all brought me back to you.”
Before you could respond, a sudden prickle of awareness swept over you. You didn’t have to look around to know—you were being watched. Instinct kicked in, and you grabbed Lori’s hand. “We have to go,” you said urgently, pulling her along.
“But Aunt, he’s not done!” Lori protested, glancing back at Bucky as you hurried away.
Bucky was right behind you, not willing to let you slip away again. “We can’t stay together, Bucky!” you insisted, your voice edged with both desperation and regret.
“You’re going to Massachusetts,” he replied, undeterred. “I want to go there too.”
“Why?” you demanded, your eyes narrowing.
Bucky held up the book that Lori had given him. “Because of this.” He pointed to the title on the cover, his expression serious.
“The Red Swan.” The words rolled off your tongue with a sense of familiarity that sent a shiver down your spine. The title dredged up old memories, ones you’d tried hard to forget.
Bucky saw the recognition in your eyes and pressed on. “From what I’ve read—”
“You read it?” Lori interrupted, her voice tinged with awe.
“From what I’ve read,” Bucky continued, his gaze never leaving yours, “the mission in this book mirrors the one we had. The same code names, the same hotel rooms…”
Lori gasped, her eyes wide with amazement. “Oh wow!”
“You don’t mean—” you started, your mind racing to catch up.
Bucky nodded grimly. “I need to see the author of this novel. What’s his deal? How does a romance author know so much about a mission we both lived through? The details are too precise to be coincidence.”
Your heart pounded harder, and you exchanged a glance with Bucky. The implications were chilling. Someone out there knew far too much about your past—a past that was supposed to be buried. And now, that knowledge was in the pages of a book for anyone to read.
"Let's go," you said, your voice steady despite the turmoil inside. But then you hesitated, realizing, "Oh, but I didn’t buy your ticket."
Bucky chuckled softly, a rare sound that almost made you smile. "I’ll handle it," he replied, his confidence soothing your worry.
The three of you boarded the train, slipping into a quiet compartment. Lori, practically bouncing with excitement, clasped her hands together. She was thrilled that you and Bucky weren’t parting ways.
Unable to contain her joy, she started singing softly, “🎵We’re all in this together…🎵”

Lessons of Love - Part 4
Nerd!Natasha x Rogers!F R
Summary: As your relationship with Natasha progresses, you find some bumps on the road.
That was no way to start the day. Natasha had looked everywhere for her notebook, and now she was walking to Advanced Calc without any idea where it went.
Truth is, she could remember most of the things she had written down from lessons. What she regretted the most was losing all the little notes or scribbles you’d leave at random places.
“Looking for this?” she heard you say.
There you were, standing outside her classroom. You had her schedule memorised to know what routes to take to your next class and see her as offen as possible.
“Yes, actually” she nodded, taking the notebook from you. You smiled, leaning forward. To anyone else, it seemed like you two were just talking, but you had your hand on her arm, drawing circles.
“It was under my bed…” you explained, blushing at the memory of the make out session that almost became somethig more. You could tell Natasha was thinking the same thing, as her eyes traveled to your lips. You were about to close the distance for a short kiss when someone called for you.
“Hey, mamacita” it was Jessica Jones, who stayed oblivious to the intimate moment you were sharing with Natasha.
“Hey, JJ” you greeted, turning around and standing closer to Nat, hoping she’d put her arm around your shoulders or something. Instead, she excused herself and went inside the room.
You sighed, disappointed.
“We have Spanish together. Wanna walk with me? Podemos practicar en el camino, muy caliente!”
“Oh, wow. Your Duolingo streak must be on fire”
—-
“Au, K, C, Na” Natasha pulled out study cards, placing them in front of you.
“Gold, Potasium, Carbon, Sodium” you listed all the elements.
“Correct” she leaned back against the headboard, chewing on some M&Ms.
“Where’s my prize?” you said in a low voice, getting closer to her. Natasha blushed and watched as you leaned forward… stealing the candy from her.
“Not fair” she complained, although she was laughing along. You offered her a chocolate to appease her, aware that your eyes followed her movements as she let you feed her.
Obviously, the study session was abandoned for other activities. Her lips were on yours and you had kicked the notebooks out of the way to have more space.
Natasha’s tongue explored your mouth expertly -god, she had gotten so good at kissing- while the other circled your waist. You yelped as she lifted you up, placing you on her lap.
“That was incredibly hot” you commented, licking and biting her earlobe.
Natasha responded by squeezing your breasts over your shirt. You didn’t know what had gotten over her, she was usually shy and let you take the lead, but you were definitely not complainig. Before she had time to hesitate, you took your shirt off, nipples hardening at the cold air and the arousal.
Natasha moaned, burying her face in the valley of your breasts.
“Can I…?” she asked for permission, her hand hovering over the clasp of your bra.
“Yes. Please” you nodded, and a second later felt your bra lose around your shoulders. Natasha pulled at it impatiently, her tongue swirling around your nipple. You jolted forward, moaning and feeling her erection against your leg.
With a cloudy mind, you unzipped her pants and palmed her cock through her boxers. Natasha’s hips went up, as her lips stopped working on your breasts, caught off guard by your bold move.
“I’m sorry, I just got carried away”
“Do it again, please” she asked against your lips, kissing you while her hand took over your nipple. Nodding against her, you continued to stroke her over the fabric, feeling the hardness strain against the underwear. You wanted nothing more than to pull the boxers down and suck Natasha off.
The thought made you squeeze a bit harder, Natasha losing her focus for a second, knowing she’d come any minute.
Your brother’s voice boomed across the hallway.
“Captain Rogers is pulling up the driveway. However’s doing something nasty, wrap it up”
You groaned at that, layind down next to Natasha. Your hair was a mess and you were both out of breath.
“My eyes are up here” you joked when she kept staring at your boobs, your chest going up and down as your breathing evened out.
“I know” Natasha nodded, still looking at them. You laughed, pushing her away as you rolled on your back to put your clothes back on.
“Hey, I didn’t overstep, right?” Natasha asked, kissing your shoulder as you looked in the mirror to fix your hair,
“No, my love. It was perfect” you said, looking at her reflection. Once you were satisfied with your appearance, you turned around and put your arms around her neck. “I liked it way too much”
“I did too” she confessed, smiling as you pecked her lips.
“Maybe we can talk about…”
“Yeah. I know… I’ve been thinking about it too”
“Wait. Are we both talking about marriage?” you said, serious. Natasha’s eyes widened and you laughed. “I’m just teasing you”
“Yeah, that’s what you are. A big tease” she said, kissing you softly.
Still thinking about everything that happened the day before, you walked out of Spanish class. It took you a moment to caught up with Jessica, who was talking next to you.
“So, what do you think?”
“About what?”
“I asked you to dinner. Like, a date?”
“Oh” you nodded, and then it clicked. “Oh, JJ, I'm very flattered but the thing is… I have a girlfriend”
“You do? Huh” Jessica said with a smile. “Wait, don’t tell me. It’s Wanda, right? I mean, you guys are together all the time”
“Wanda?” you repeated, confused. It almost felt like you summoned her, because she came out of nowhere, pulling you by the arm.
“Hey, mind if I steal my girl?”
“Wait, that’s not what you think” you tried to correct, but Jessica gave you a thumbs up.
“Happy for you two”
Wanda kept walking down the hallway, her hand firmly grasping yours and you tried to keep up with her.
“Wanda, what’s wrong?”
“Jarvis is coming for the winter break!” she said excitedly.
“Oh, the English lad” you said with your bad accent. The girl rolled her eyes.
“Wait, why is Jessica happy for us?” she stopped suddenly, and you rolled your eyes.
“Don’t worry about it”
Later that day, Wanda came back home with you to tell you all about Jarvis’ upcoming visit.
“I’m happy for you” you said.
“What’s wrong?”
“What do you mean? Nothing, Wands”
“You didn’t even make the accent since I brought it up again”
You rolled your eyes and threw a cushion her way, making her laugh.
“Is it weird that Natasha and I are still keeping everything private? It’s been three months since we started dating, and we’re not exactly hiding but when someone comes to speak to me she just disappears”
“Have you spoken to her?” Wanda suggested, spinning in your work chair.
“I guess we’re due a talk for more than one reason” you admitted, playing with the hem of your shirt. Wanda caught on to your shift in mood and launched herself to lay next to you.
“What do you mean?”
“Well, yesterday, it felt like we almost… you know”
“Really? Oh my God, how was it?” Wanda squealed and you sushed her, fearing your parents would hear. “What? I wanna know everything. I mean, ew, not everything but… ya know”
“We didn’t do… it. It felt like we were going to, but then Dad was home. Plus, I haven’t even told her how I feel. It’s kind of cheap to do it without saying how much I love her”
“Well, just tell her exactly that. It’s not like she doesn’t love you back”
“I don’t know. Anything is possible” you shrugged your shoulders and Wanda kicked her feet in the air, sighing dramatically.
“You two are impossible lesbians. She’s out there looking at you as if you hung all the stars in the sky and you’re moping because Natasha might not love you back”
“Alright, jeez” you laughed. “Then help me tell her in a creative way”
“What are you thinking? Something she likes?”
“Morse code” you suggested and Wanda made a face. “Alright, non binary language”
“Like saying I love them instead of you”
“No, as in 0 and 1 like computers, genius”
“Ugh, you are a certified nerd” she gagged and you laughed. “What’s wrong with some old fashioned bouquet and chocolate?”
“Going back to the basics… you’re on to something, Maximoff”
Your mom was on board with your plan the minute you shared it. She’d been the one to arrange a bouquet of flowers from the family garden. It had baby’s breath, white carnations, pink camellias and a dash of red yarrow.
So, there you were, standing outside the Romanoff home first thing in the morning. You had plans later that day and you knew Natasha was going out for her run, but you were lucky enough to catch her before she left.
“Hey” she greeted you as she opened the door.
“Hi…” you began, and then she pulled you by the waist, devouring your mouth in that new found hunger that made your knees weak. “Uh… I…”
“It’s nice to see you first thing in the morning” she said, her nose against yours in a sweet gesture.
“Yeah, especially when you kiss me like that”
Natasha smiled, but let go of your waist and finally looked at the flowers.
“Going somewhere?”
“Huh? Oh, no. These are for you” you extended the bouquet and she took it. “I’ve grown all these flowers myself and wanted to give them to you because I…”
“Achoo!”
“Bless you”
“Thank… achoo!”
Natasha sneezed a few times before you caught up with what was happening.
“Damn it, you’re allergic”
“Nooo… maybe a little” she looked apologetic and you gently removed the bouquet from her hands, placing it behind your back.
“I’m sorry, baby. I had no idea”
“It’s fine. They’re really pretty. It’s the thought that counts” she sneezed one more time and you sighed. “Let me grab my medicine and I’ll be right back”
“No, it’s ok. I’ll come back later, I should take this back home” you held the flowers as if they were radioactive, as far away from her body as possible. “Catch you later for our date?”
“Looking forward to it” she leaned forward to kiss you, but broke apart to sneeze once more.
“Medicine, now” you sighed against her lips.
So, that was a bust. Your mother was ready to take personal offense when you came back with the flowers, until you explained what had happened.
“Well, what’s plan B?”
“A fortune cookie?”
You honestly thought the flowers would work so a backup plan was not even considered.
“We’ll bake cupcakes!” your mother suggested, always a step ahead of you. “Look for ideas while I get the ingredients”
You browsed until you stumbled upon a cute video. With an edible marker, you wrote “I love you” in a piece of sugar paper. Covering it with a food safe acetate and buttercream, you decorated the cupcake as if it was a letter, placing a small red heart on the center.
You prepared a tray with the rest of the cupcakes, making sure to place the one with the note in the middle.
“Good luck, sweetheart” your mother said as she dropped you off later that day on her way to the gallery.
This time, Natasha’s welcome was a bit more measured, since her parents were up and your mom was waving from the car.
“How’s the allergy?”
“It’s all fine now” she promised, leading you by the hand.
“Well, I got you some cupcakes. I’m pretty certain you’re not allergic to those”
“No, especially when you’re the one making them” she admired the work.
“You should eat this one first” you pointed at the one in the middle and she nodded, taking your face in her hands.
“I want something sweeter first” her lips moved against yours and you grabbed her neck to keep her there.
“Right in front of the cupcakes” Yelena complained and you broke apart, eyes still closed as you tried to bring your breathing back to normal.
“Those aren’t for you”
Crap.
Of course, Yelena chose the one with the note. By the time you noticed, she was done with it.
“Uh… you didn’t taste anything weird in it?” you asked, worried about the acetate. Yelena shrugged her shoulders, and picked up another one until Natasha slapped her hand away.
“Get your own cupcake baking girlfriend”
“Is that all she is to you? A cupcake factory? Natalia, that is so rude. Y/N also has a cute butt, why not mention that”
“You know what I mean. And don’t look at her butt!”
“It’s fine, it’s fine!” you stopped the arguing, sounding a bit hysterical. “Come on, let’s get going, Nat”
You were silent for the entire ride, and Natasha allowed you to take the time you needed.
“We’re here” she announced after parking at the mini golf course.
“Ok”
“Hey, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing, I just wanted to do something special for you and I think I’ve been failing all day”
“You haven’t. Everything you do is special for me”
“Really?” you whispered, blushing at her kind words. Natasha nodded, taking your hand and kissing the back of it. You suddenly remembered a thing you wanted to mention. “Our four month anniversary is next Saturday… why don’t we go somewhere nice?”
“I love that” she agreed and you smiled, eager to shout back and I love you
But you wanted it to be special, and what’s another week? You could wait, and maybe, this time your plan would work.
The Science Club was only five people. Peter, Darcy, Shuri, Ned and Natasha, the founding member. It was an improvement from last year, when it was only her and Darcy.
“So, next week we’re getting the guidelines for the Science Bowl, and then we can plan our study sessions” Natasha said, writing down a couple of dates in the whiteboard.
“Are we doing that?” Peter asked, looking around.
“Why wouldn’t we?”
“Well, I thought you would be focused on the Westview Science Fair. Since they have some people from MIT coming each year” Peter explained.
“Well, I’m a sophomore… I’m sure next year I’ll do it”
“Scared I’ll beat you, Romanoff?” Shuri taunted.
Natasha felt like she was under the microscope. Everyone in the club knew how brilliant her mother was, and how ambitious Natasha’s own goals were for her future as a scientist.
“Are you ok? We’ve had the impression that you’ve been a bit distracted” Ned said in a soft tone, as if he was afraid to upset her.
“I’m fine” Natasha lied, turning to Darcy. “See? Lewis is texting someone while we meet. Bet she’s more distracted than me”
“Hey! I’m just talking to Y//N”
“Why are you talking to Y/N?” Natasha snapped. Everyone in the room shared a look.
“Because we’re partnering for a Biology project. And then I’ll ask her out”
“I heard she has a girlfriend” Shuri intervened, saving Natasha from throwing the marker to Darcy’s head. “No idea who she is, though”
“Well, that won’t stop me” Darcy smiled, going back to texting.
“We’ll do the Science Bowl and I’ll work on the Westview Fair, so that’s thqt” Natasha returned to writing on the board.
“Wow. You’re doing both? Isn’t that a lot?” Peter said. Natasha shrugged her shoulders.
For the rest of the afternoon, her thoughts spiraled, filling her with anxiety. She had gotten distracted and lost focus and now her entire future was jeopardized over it.
It wasn’t until later, when she heard a knock on the door that she snapped out of it.
“Go away”
“You sure about that?”
Another thing she had forgotten; you had plans. She felt guilty, and wished she had cancelled before making you come all the way here when she was in a sour mood.
As she opened the door, you leaned forward to kiss her but she turned her face.
“You ok?” you said, confused at her cold demeanor. Walking to her desk, you placed a gift box and sat on the bed, looking at Natasha. She was tense, and avoiding your eyes.
“Fine. Just busy”
“Oh, ok. Well, want me to just wait until you’re less busy? I can go bother Yel”
“It’s gonna take a while. You should go back home. I’ll text you later”
“Nat? What’s wrong?”
“Why were you texting Darcy?” she finally snapped, picking a fight over something she knew meant nothing.
“How did you know?”
“So you didn’t want me to find out”
“I’m texting her because we’re doing a presentation for class. She asked me to be on the same team”
“You could have said no” she said, turning her back to you.
“I don’t have any reason to be a total bitch and say no to a group project, Natasha. If it bothers you so much you could tell her we’re dating. I told my friends, unlike you”
“That’s not the point” Natasha said, looking at the card that came with the gift. It was a simple equation.
“Then what is?”
“I don’t have time for this. You want me to do your homework too?” she threw the card on her desk and looked at you. “I’m behind, I totally forgot about the Science Fair and now I have to come up with a really good project in less than three weeks”
“Why are you making it sound like it’s my fault?”
“Because” Natasha stopped herself from saying it is.
But you knew.
She saw the hurt in your eyes and regretted everything that had just happened.
“Don’t worry. I won’t get in the way of your stuff anymore, Natasha” you stood up, walking towards the door.
“Wait! No, I didn’t mean to…”
“Yes, you did” you went out of her room, Natasha staying rooted to the spot.
She was a coward.
You had avoided Natasha all day. That’s how she finally realised that all those moments where you met and spoke outside of her classroom or in the hallways were because of you, going out of your way to see her.
During English class, you sat at the front, as far away from her as you could, and spend the entire period taking notes. By the time it was over, you were the first person out the door. Natasha tried to catch up with you but wasn’t even sure how to begin to apologize.
Natasha’s texts, as well as her calls went unanswered. Today was a Saturday, and you’d usually spend time together in the evening… she could try going to your place, or to your mother’s gallery. She had to find you and tell you how sorry and wrong she was. You were the best thing that had happened to her, and it was none of your responsibility if Natasha had too much on her plate.
Yelena walked past her in the living room, wearing her cheerleader uniform.
“You don’t have practice today” Natasha turned to her.
“It’s the end of the football season so we’re meeting today and tomorrow. I’m late” Yelena answered without looking at her sister.
“Wait! I’ll drive you”
Yelena rolled her eyes, but waited in the car nonetheless. She spent most of the time looking out the window, until she couldn’t hold her tongue anymore.
“If anyone had spoken to me the way you spoke to Y/N, I would have broken up with them, on the spot”
“Jeez. Thanks?”
“She’s kind. And she’s in love with you. You’re always so caught up in your world of science like mom. It’s great that you’re so smart but you’re so damn stupid sometimes, Tasha” Yelena said and left the car as soon as she arrived.
Natasha sighed, looking for you in the field. You were speaking to Pepper, smiling as she showed you what the next move would be. Your eyes landed on Natasha and your smile faded. Still, the redhead waved at you and you walked towards the bleachers.
“What’s up?” you said in a casual tone that made Natasha’s heart drop.
“I tried calling you”
“I had nothing to say” you shrugged your shoulders. “And you have a lot going on so I figured you could use your time back”
In that moment, Natasha’s phone rang and she ignored the call, without checking who it was.
“I made a mistake. I’m sorry. I was unfair to you because I had a bad day”
“Honestly, Natasha? I’m not sure if it’s just that”
“What do you mean? Damn it” she complained as her phone rang again. The sound was begining to irritate you.
“What I mean is… you’re very smart and I’m just me. I have no idea what I want to do with my life and I’m ok with that, because I’m 16 and feel like I have time. But if you have everything figured out, and you feel like it should be your priority, I won’t hold you back”
“You’re not holding me back” she promised, taking a step forward. “I just don’t know how to balance everything. I lost focus…”
“Because of me?”
“Because I… I’ve never been in a relationship before”
“Well, that sounds like something you should figure out on your own” you cut her off, starting to walk away.
“That’s not fair. You can’t expect me to feel bad because I know what I want? I’m sorry. But being in a relationship won’t get me into MIT”
“I never said that!” you groaned, frustrated as her phone began to rang again. Natasha didn’t ignore the call, and this time the noise made you even more upset as you both kept arguing.  “Pick up the damn phone”
Taking the phone from her hands, you answered the call.
“Hey, Natty. I’m waiting at your house but your mom said you’re out”
You recognized the voice. Jane Foster.
“Don’t worry. We’re done here” you threw the phone at Natasha, turning to walk away.
“Wait, it’s not what you think. Jane was only going to help me with the Science Fair project”
“Today was our fourth month together, I made a reservation and everything. And I kept it with the hope that we could make things right. But go be with Jane, take her out. Forget about me, us. If this relationship is a burden, you’re not in one anymore”
“No, Y/N, wait, please”
“Goodbye, Natasha”
You left her standing alone, as you walked into school. Yelena followed you, glaring as she walked past her sister.
“Nice one, Natasha”
Natasha didn’t know how to fix this mess. You were never alone at school, and she was sure it wasn’t a coincidence.
Pietro or Wanda were consistently by your side, even when their classes were across the school. Bucky glared at Natasha the only time she dared come near you, but you elbowed him and walked away as fast as possible.
You didn’t hate Natasha, nor did you expect anyone else to be mean to her. You were just heartbroken, feeling like everything she had said was confirmation of how unlikely it was for someone as smart as her to love you.
Wednesday seemed like the only chance to actually talk to you, but to Natasha’s bad luck, you skipped Chemistry class.
“No Miss Rogers today?” Fury asked in the middle of practice. Natasha shrugged her shoulders. “This exercise was her idea”
“Borax crystals?” Natasha looked up. The professor shrugged his shoulders, copying Natasha.
“Said she wanted to use the pipe cleaners to do some fun shapes. I’m guessing hearts”
Natasha thought about it for a second, while Fury gave her a knowing look.
“Crystal hearts” Natasha repeated.
“She also showed me an equation to check if it was correct, then wrote in something that looked like a card. Very mysterious”
“Yeah” Natasha nodded, going back to her notes. Feeling someone was looking at her, she raised her eyes and met Wanda’s murderous glare.
“Stop it” Pietro told his sister, while Natasha turned pale. Wanda could be scary.
Fury chuckled and walked back to his desk, hoping whatever was going on could be solved outside of his classroom.
For her part, Natasha wanted to skip the rest of her classes and go home. She was sure the card Fury mentioned was the same you had given her the day she acted like a total ass.
By the time she got home, Natasha went straight to her room. The gift box had been hidden in her closet, because she couldn’t stand seeing it all the time.
“Screw it” she muttered, opening the closet and taking it out. Natasha ripped the paper, trying to figure out what the box had.
Lego flowers.
So you can always have flowers without the allergies, a note inside said.
She didn’t deserve you. Natasha dropped the box in her bed and sat on the floor. How could she know so much about science but not be able to figure out how to fix this?
There was a knock on her door but she didn’t care to answer.
“Sweetheart?” Melina said, opening the door. Her eyes widened when she saw her daughter so defeated. “Tasha, what’s wrong?”
“I’m an idiot” Natasha shook her head, the tears finally rolling down her cheeks. She had tried to avoid it, because Natasha hated crying, hated feeling helpless more than anything.
But right now, she hated the way she had made you feel even more.
“Oh, you’re definitely not an idiot, sweetie. Come here” Melina sat next to her daughter, hugging her. Natasha felt like she was five again, but held on to her mother’s arms. “Is this about Y/N?”
“Yelena told you, huh?”
“No. I just noticed she hasn’t been around and you’ve been hiding in your room. Wanna tell me what happened?”
“I was a jerk. All of the sudden I realised I was gonna have all this extra work from the Science Club and the Westview Fair and blamed it on her, as if she was distracting me on purpose”
“Oh, I see. You’ve never been good with stress, after all”
“I’m not good with people” Natasha shook her head. “She’s better off without me”
“Natasha, darling. You’re so smart. But you put so much pressure on yourself. I sometimes blame myself for it”
“What do you mean?”
“I worked so hard when I first came here because I had to prove myself. Had to be ten times better than anyone else to be seen as more than just the strange girl from Russia. I don’t want that to be your life. Choose a path that makes you happy”
Natasha nodded, wiping away the last tears.
“I don’t know how to fix it” she confessed.
“Say how you feel. Speak from the heart. And be better next time. That’s all you can do” Melina said, squeezing Natasha’s shoulders. “We’ll leave in an hour, the last game of the season is today”
As Melina left her daughter’s room, Natasha gathered the courage to open the card, curious to see if it had the equation that Fury mentioned.
She went over it a couple of times, and then sat, writing it down on her own notebook to solve it.
9x - 7i > 3 (3x - 7u)
9x - 7i > 9x - 21u
- 7i > - 21u
7i < 21u
i <3 u
“I love you” she read, her heart beating out of her chest.
Natasha stood up and tried calling you, but it went to voicemail. You’d probably be at the field, practicing with the rest of the team. It would be nearly impossible to get close to you, and Natasha didn’t want to wait until the end of the game.
She had to speak to you now. Natasha called someone else.
“Peter. I need a favor”
As it was to be expected, the school parking lot was packed. Melina walked with an arm around her daughter’s shoulders.
“Feeling better?”
“Yes” Natasha nodded. “I’ll catch up with you. I have to meet with Peter real quick”
“Alright” the woman said, going to the bleachers to find a spot for them.
Natasha walked to the school library, looking anxiously around the building.
“Hey! I’m here, sorry” Peter said, carrying the mascot suit. “This is a very weird favor to ask, Nat”
“I know, trust me. But I need to get to the field now” Natasha examined the suit, accepting Peter’s help to put it on. Once the body was zipped, Peter placed the lion’s head, making sure Natasha was adjusting it.
“How does it feel?”
“How can you even see in this thing?” Natasha’s voice came out muffled.
“Yeah, I can’t. You’ll get used to it, though. Come on, I’ll walk you to the field”
He took Natasha by the hand (well, paw) and she almost backed out of the plan. It was hot and dark in there and she might pass out.
But then she thought of you and the three words she wanted to tell you, and her resolve strenghtented.
By the time they reached the field, Pepper dragged Natasha out, not even noticing that Peter was by her side, instead of inside the suit.
“We change the routine’s speed so you better catch up”
“Wait, I don’t even know it”
“Stay there” the girl ignored her. Natasha looked around and walked with her arms reached forward.
“So, how are you feeling?” that was Yelena’s voice. Natasha walked towards it, hopeful.
“I’ve had better days” you admitted with a sad smile. “I miss Nat like crazy”
“If it helps she’s been very miserable” Yelena said and you laughed.
“She’ll be fine without me. Though I’ve been trying to avoid her, because I know she wants to break up and I cannot take it, not right now”
What? She never wanted to break up with you. Natasha struggled with the head of the suit, but stumbled against her sister.
“Hey, watch it” Yelena said, but turned as Pepper asked everyone to take their places. “Come on Parker, you know what to do”
“I’m not Parker. Y/N, wait!” Natasha screamed, but between the music and the cheers from the crowd, you didn’t hear her. Natasha stumbled around as the cheerleading squad began their routine. She crashed against some of the girls, and by the time she found a quiet corner to go unnoticed, they were pulling her back to the field, almost carrying her to the center of their circle.
Pepper pushed Natasha towards a trampoline, and the girl jumped a few times on it.
“Go, Lions!” the girls cheered as someone threw a ball to Natasha’s head. She flew in the air, losing her footing and the head of the suit at the same time. The redhead landed on her back, the padding helping a bit with the fall.
“Natasha?” you said, rushing to her side. “What the hell do you think you’re doing? Are you ok?”
“I’m fine” Natasha said, breathing heavily and finding comfort in your closeness. She had missed you so much.
“Are you sure? Does anything hurt?” you insisted, checking her head with a gentleness that made Natasha swoon. Without thinking about it, she closed the distance, kissing you softly. You tried to protest, but gave in a moment later, shutting your eyes and pulling her closer.
You missed her so damn much.
People cheered and then it dawned on you that you were putting on a show for the entire school. You looked at the crowd, your cheeks turning pink.
“Maybe we should…”
“I love you” Natasha said, unable to wait any longer.
“You… do?”
“I finally opened the card and the equation… it was a perfect gift and I’m sorry, I was an idiot. I love you so much and I never meant to hurt you. Please, believe me, Y/N. You’re everything to me”
“Well, how can a girl resist a love confession like that?” you laughed, pulling her up. When Natasha stood up, she lifted you in her arms, spinning you around.
“I love you” she said one more time, kissing you softly.
“I love you too” you smiled against her mouth, not caring about the crowd anymore.
Now that you had made up (and made out) in front of most of the school, you and Natasha were inseparable. You walked to classes together, holding hands in the hallway and talking about your day. During break you’d eat together and at the end of the day hung out for a while with Wanda and Pietro, or only the two of you, sharing a few laughs and kisses.
Oh, the kissing.
First thing on Monday, when the school was still buzzing with the gossip of your relationship, Natasha came up the stairs as you entered the school. Her lips met yours, in that hungry way she usually saved for the privacy of your room, and you broke apart, blushing and smiling.
“Good morning”
“Uh-huh. I’ll say” you laughed, taking her hand, aware that some people were staring.
It became a habit. Most times it was innocent, like a kiss on the cheek while saying goodbye before your classes. You’d be talking by your locker and she’d end up leaning you against it, your hands on her waist as you enjoyed being trapped by her body, looking at her lips until the conversation died down and you kissed her, a bit possesively.
It made Professor Harkness warn you about “no funny business during class” and Fury talking about wanting no distractions if you kept working together.
Both of your friends were the most crossed by this, because more often than not, they’d interrupt in the middle of some make out session.
Like today. The Science Club was preparing for the competition, and they met to study at the end of each day. Since it was Friday and you had no classes left, you decided to tease Natasha as she waited for her teammates.
“I’m having trouble with something” you said, sitting in one of the tables.
“With what?” Natasha said, organizing the flash cards and not picking up on your mood.
“I’ll show you”, you asked, pulling her flush against you as she stood between your legs. “I can’t stop thinking about my girlfriend”
Natasha smiled, allowing you to take the lead with the kiss, her hands going to your legs to make them wrap around her waist. She groaned when your tongue darted out.
“If this is how we’re studying today, I’ll pass” Darcy said as soon as she walked in on the room. You broke apart, noticing how Natasha didn’t let go.
Knowing she was jealous of the time you and Darcy were speaking, you placed a small kiss on the corner of her mouth and spoke loud enough for her friend to hear.
“Gotta go. You need to study. I love you, baby”
“I love you too” she smiled, kissing you one last time. You ran into Peter and Ned at the door and Natasha called out for you. “Don’t forget our date tonight. I gotta make it up to you for that dinner we missed”
You blushed as Ned and Peter whistled, nodding and waving goodbye.
All in all, life was good.
Comfortable and cozy. That’s what Natasha said you should wear. You had no idea where you were going, but felt excited.
“You look beautiful” your mom said as you went down the stairs. Your father turned as well.
“Where are you going?”
“I don’t know”
“What do you mean you don’t know” he snapped, removing his glasses. “That is not safe. You’re staying here”
“Dad, it’s a surprise” you tried to ease his nerves, hugging him. “Plus, it’s not like you don’t track my phone”
“I…” he turned to glance at your mother, who looked ready to murder him.
“Joseph Rogers, that is an incredible invasion of privacy! Do you track my phone too?”
They were so busy arguing, they never noticed the doorbell. You ran to greet Natasha.
“Hi” she said, kissing your cheek. She pulled something behind her back, handing it to you.
“I’m allergic to flowers so I thought I’d compromise here” she smiled, giving you a cactus.
“Thank you, darling” you smiled.
“I’ll take that. You two have fun” your mother said, inspecting the plant. She was probably planning where to place it.
“Alright, don’t wait up” you winked at your parents, making Natasha blush.
“Young lady, that is not funny!” your father said. You laughed, walking with Natasha to the car, while your mother shushed him, still upset.
“Relax. He knows it’s a joke. Now, take me to this super secret date, huh?”
“We have a different ride today” she pointed at a pick up truck that you had seen on her dad’s garage.
Natasha opened the door for you, and extended her hand, as the climb to the seat was steep.
“It feels like we’re in a carriage” you joked as she turned it on and drove you. Reaching a gated park, a security guard opened the door for you two and you were pretty sure Natasha handed him a twenty dollar bill as you drove past him.
“This looks like the country club”
“That’s because it is. We’re just sneaking around the back” she winked at you.
“Well, we can go through the front, you know we have the membership…”
“Detka, trust me, I know the perfect view is this way” she squeezed your leg, leaving her hand there for the rest of the short ride.
“What does it mean?” you asked and she looked confused. “Come on, I don’t know how to say it. That Russian word”
“Detka? It means baby. Sort of”
You blushed and squeezed the hand that was resting in your lap, hoping Natasha would use it again very soon.
Natasha encouraged you to jump, holding you by the waist until you landed against her. She moved aside to show you what she meant, and you gasped as you saw the lake that was away from the courts and the restaurant.
The ground was usually reserved for parties, but it was luckily empty. As you kept staring at the lights reflecting in the water, Natasha uncovered the back of the truck to reveal it was full of pillows, blakets, food and her laptop.
“Hope you’re hungry” she helped you up, holding your hand while you steadied yourself in the back.
“Starving” you said, finally picking a corner to sit in and making room for her. Natasha sat next to you, her arm around your shoulders. “Nat, this is lovely”
“You deserve it, and more”
“I love you” you kissed her, leaning against her side until you needed to catch your breath.
“Love you too. Now, here” Natasha opened up the picnic basket. “We have lasagna and soda, chocolate cake for dessert, popcorn and gummies in case you want more snacks”
“What movie are we watching?”
“About Time”
“Yes!” you cheered, appreciating her choice. You knew Natasha complained about the time travel inaccuracies, but it was one of your favorites.
As the movie progressed, you came closer to Natasha, seeking her warmth when the air became colder.
“Here” she covered you with a blanket and you came closer, sinking in her arms.
“You make me really happy, Natasha” you looked at her, appreciating how soft she looked under the fading light.
“And you’re the best thing that ever happened to me” she leaned forward, pressing her lips against yours. As your hands went down her arms, you sank further into the pillows, until you landed on your back with a squeal. “Are you ok?”
“Yes” you laughed, pulling Natasha down. Her body was on top of yours, and you appreciated feeling her weight. The kissing became more frantic, with your hands exploring the skin of her back while she bit your lip and then kissed your neck.
“Oh, my” you gasped, as literal fireworks lit up the sky. “Did you do this?”
“I could lie and tell you I did, but I’m guessing there’s a party down at the restaurant”
Enjoying the free show, Natasha hugged you as you looked up.
“Hey” you called, squeezing her hand.
“Hi” Natasha smiled, kissing your temple.
“I know there’s a lot going on right now and it may be too soon… but. You know that thing that almost happened two weeks ago in my room”
“Mhm” Natasha nodded against you.
“Well… I’d love it if you… if my first time could be with you. And like I said, now’s not the time and all, but it’s just a step that I’d take only with you because I trust you and I love you”
Natasha smiled, surprised that you of all people were rambling.
“I would love that too, detka. We’ll know when the time is right, don’t you think?”
“Yes. And please keep calling me that. It’s the best thing in the world” you nudged her side and she laughed against you.
“Anything for you, moya lyubov”
“Oh, come on! That’s not fair” you complained, your heart skipping a beat at those new words. “Keep doing that and I’m losing my virginity right here in the back of this truck”
“Oh” Natasha let out a surprised squeal, turning red. Yeah, that was the Nat you knew.
“I love you, baby” you laughed at her sudden shyness. “And I’m kidding, of course”
“Right”
“The back seat is probably more comfortable”
“Incorrigible” she mumbled, kissing you softly and laughing with you.
“But you love me”
“Yeah. I really do”

How to re-programme your subconscious mind…(tried and tested)
When the retreats don’t seem to have a lasting effect, you’ve done therapy, prayed, been to see healers, meditated… but for the life of you, stilllll have wounds so deep that they might appear to be resolved but the moment you meet someone who is wow you suddenly feel unworthy. Maybe not even suddenly, but your relationship wounds are running deep. Relationships trigger you. You end up feeling the same 90% of the time. Unlovable, unwanted, and rejected. The key to remember is that it started with you. With the mind, with your thinking. At whatever point in your childhood (or even later) you took on the belief that you're not worthy, your needs were not met. You took on behaviours that play out still to this day. Maybe it was hiding yourself, maybe it was lashing out? Whatever it is, the same way it started with you, with your thinking, with your processing of events. Is the same way you heal your self. Here are some steps:
1] Forgiveness. Forgiveness is going to free you from your past. Write a list of all the people and situations that caused you pain from your earliest memory to this very day. Whatever pains are etched in your mind, write them down. Once your list is collated, start going through each scenario, sending love and forgiveness to yourself and whoever was involved. Imagine yourself as a loving carer healing the parts of you that were vulnerable, hurt and not safe. Visualise giving yourself love in each scenario. Creating peace. Once you’ve been through a scenario and feel truly at peace with the situation scribble it out and once you are completely done with the papers you can burn them and set yourself free. (this process can take weeks / months depending how long your list is but it's not to be rushed).
2] Whatever is still lingering, use your journal to clear this out. For example, if I asked you right now if the man of your dreams was to appear.. would you feel worthy? Right now as your are? It might not be a man, it might be a job, a salary. Whatever it is, start challenging your old beliefs. You might not feel pretty enough, you might not feel like you are deserving… whatever it is start questioning old ideas you have about yourself. Challenge them..
3] This is the most important step… Once you’ve done the above. You’ll start to see some themes, maybe in your forgiveness list you realised your voice didn’t matter as a child, and that you were silenced, and that you hid yourself as a way to feel safe…whatever you uncover.
3.1 - You are going to write a script, in simple terms - something a child would understand and make sense of and you’re going to write out new beliefs to re-programme your mind. Example ‘I am willing to forgive those who hurt me, I am willing to forgive myself for the hurt I went through, I am no longer hiding myself from the world, I am choosing to be seen , to be celebrated, I am allowing my voice to be heard, my true voice, I matter’ - you want to cover all basis. Every old belief about not being enough, you need to re-write.
3.2 - Record yourself on your phone in a very slow peaceful loving tone reading your script.
3.3 - You need to listen to this recording every single night for at least 1-4 weeks. (It’s usually 21 days, but I did a recording for 1 week on feeling safe and I felt truly healed as if it was a miracle). I was able to LOOP the recording using Mac...I sent the voice recording from my iPhone to my MacBook using airdrop and then opened the sound file in iTunes and pressed repeat. This allowed a short recording to loop all night as I slept. It’s really important to play this on a loop as you want to IMPRESS your subconscious mind with the new beliefs. It’s your own voice, its your own re-wiring.
I hope this helps! The deeper healing work is crucial if you really want to remove those old wounds that seem to be stuck and not budging!

Plot Summary: One of the University’s library attendants catches your eye through a series of standoffish encounters with her.
God, you are so fucking late. How the hell did you manage to sleep through all your alarms? Your partners and you had agreed to meet up at 4 p.m. in the study room, and it was already 4:10 while you sprinted through campus in an attempt to make it there as soon as possible. As you run, you type out an apology message to them, telling them that you’ll get there as quickly as you can, but that didn’t help the fact that when you arrived, you had no idea where the study room was.
You transferred to Brown just this year, so you were still figuring out where buildings were and how they were laid out, much to your own embarrassment. Nothing has ever been more humiliating than asking a freshman for directions to the junior dorms. Nevertheless, the directions to your specific room would be a problem you’d deal with when you actually got there.
You ran for a few minutes before you finally made it to the library. In your haste, you almost slam into the sliding glass doors that are just slightly too slow to open. Walking into the university’s library, you look back at the text your group mates sent. ‘I booked room 125 for us.’ Okay, perfect. All you needed to do was figure out where that was, and you’d only be a few minutes late; they’d understand.
Admittedly, this was the first time you’d been in the university’s library since transferring, so you were a little awestruck. The inside was far more grandiose than you were expecting; the chandeliers and many rows of books made it look like something out of Hogwarts. Right in the middle of the library foyer, there was a large wooden desk where a brown-haired library attendant sat, reading a book. It seemed that she was your best bet to find where you were meant to go.
You walk up to the large desk adorned with a small metal bell and stand in front of her, waiting to be acknowledged, to no avail. She seems far too engrossed in her reading to see you were there, in need of directions. “Excuse me?” You try. The brunette ignores you and keeps her eyes trained on her book. "Um, excuse me?” You repeat, giving her the benefit of the doubt that she didn’t hear you. This time, instead of outright ignoring you, she gives you a pointed look over her book and then goes back to reading. Well, there was no way you could give her the benefit of the doubt now.
“I was wondering if you could help me find this study room—” Without even looking up from her book, she cuts you off by pointing to a sign on the desk that reads, ‘Please Keep Quiet in the Library.’ You can’t help the insulted expression that makes its way onto your face. You’re able to catch a smirk on her face before she returns to being stoic. To add insult to injury, she spins her chair to face her back towards you. Oh, she was not making this easy.
You stand there for a moment trying to figure out what to do from here, as the brown-haired girl made it obvious she was not in the mood to assist you. But you still needed help, and she was your best bet. So you were determined to get her to be the one to help you, if not to just be a bother. You have an idea. Reaching for a piece of paper from your bag and taking a pen off the desk, you scribbled something down.
You press down on the bell that you saw as soon as you approach the desk. You can see the girl cringe at the sound, but she didn’t move besides that, keeping her back facing you. You were hoping for that. You hit the bell again, then again, and suddenly barraged the bell. Pressing incessantly until the ringing was too much for her to bear.
The girl turns around angrily, snatching the bell from under your hand. She got as up into your face as she could with the desk separating you, both hands planted on the wood to stabilize herself. “What?!” She tries to keep her shout as hushed as possible, but it wasn’t a valiant effort, as evidenced by the several shushes heard from students in the vicinity of the shouting.
With her attention now on you, you point at the sign that she had used to dismiss you earlier, with an all too pleased look on your face. You can see her jaw locking in frustration and her eyes narrowing at you. Boy, she had a temper on her. If looks could kill, you would’ve been dead and buried several times over at this point. Deciding that you had angered her enough and because you were a little intimidated, you held up your paper that read, “Where is study room 125?”
She groans before pointing somewhere vaguely behind her and to the right. You mouthe a ‘thank you’ to her and were about to head towards where she pointed when she gathered a couple books into her arms and shoulder checked you as she passed, heading somewhere deeper into the library.
You hike your backpack strap up higher onto your shoulder before sparing one last glance at the girl's desk. Noticing something new that revealed itself once she was out of the chair: a blue and yellow varsity jacket with a name written out in cursive. ‘Shauna?’ you read. You hum at the newfound name of the brunette. She was kind of pretty when she was mad.
==================================

The next time you ended up in the library was to check out a couple books for a research assignment. After browsing around for a bit, you finally gathered the books you needed for your paper. Sauntering up to the check-out desk, you were about to mark this errand down as a success. That is, until you saw who the attendant was. It was the brunette from your previous encounter.
She hadn’t yet noticed you, or maybe she had forgotten the whole first encounter entirely. You were hoping it was the latter. She turns her back and is organizing some paperwork when you finally muster up the courage to approach. You place the books that you've gathered on the desk and speak up.
“Hello, checking out, please.” You say it in a much more confident tone than you’d had in your first meeting, hoping she can’t recognize your voice.
“Sure, one sec—” She turns around as she responds, and as soon as she makes eye contact with you, she scoffs. You guess she remembers you. It was a fair response; you didn’t exactly leave the best first impression. Then again, neither did she.
She looks like she wants to do anything in her power to avoid assisting you, but she knew how that ended the last time. So, she begrudgingly began the check-out process of scanning and recording all of the first book's information. She was silent in between the flapping open of the pages and covers, the beep of the scanner, and the glares she’d shoot your way. The intensity of her gaze made you want to speak, even though the better part of your mind knew you shouldn’t.
“I guess you didn’t forget the first time we met, huh?” She didn’t acknowledge you at all this time, continuing to scan and log the books. A slight tinge of guilt washes over you, making you want to apologize, more so to not have awkward encounters with her going forward. You knew your workload would make you spend a lot of time in the library, and you’d be avoiding her a lot if you didn’t make amends. “I’m sorry about that, by the way. I just needed help; I wasn’t looking to annoy you. My name is Y/n; I only transferred here this year.”
You assume your apology fell upon deaf ears because she is deathly silent for a few seconds, the only sounds being pages turning and a distant cough somewhere in the library. She doesn’t even look up from her little check-out process when she responds.
“You know, you interrupted a really good book.” The way she said it made it sound like more of a warning than a joke. You inhale slightly and mumble another apology. She hesitates for a moment, as if she were deciding what to say next, if anything. “It’s Shauna, by the way.” You’d gathered as much after the previous meeting, but you’d never tell her that. You were thankful for any interaction with the girl where she didn’t look like she wanted to kill you.
There’s a pause once again as she scans each book and stacks it onto the ones she's already done. She says nothing more to you, so you assume she’s finished with the conversation. You open up your bag to make room for the books and grab your library card as she places the final research book on the stack.
“Is that all? What about that one?” She gestures at your own book that you had just removed from your bag to fit the other books into.
“Oh no, this one’s mine.” You hold up the paperback copy to show which book you’re referring to. Upon this action, however, allows her a closer look at the state of your reading material. She looked absolutely mortified.
“Oh my god, it looks like a mess; it’s practically falling apart. And you dog-ear the pages? Are you a criminal?” To say her outburst surprised you was an understatement. You pull the book back to your body and recoil. She’s scolding you over your own book? You look at it again. It looked perfectly fine to you. Maybe a little worn out at the crease, and yeah, dog-eared pages, but it wasn’t hanging on by a thread like she made it out to be.
“What are you talking about? It looks fine. And of course I do; how am I meant to know where I left off without marking it?” You argue, getting defensive and slightly embarrassed as you try to shove the book back into your bag.
“Um, use a bookmark, like a civilized human? God, are you a toddler? That’s like basic book etiquette.” She says it like it’s the most obvious thing in the world.
"Jesus, am I getting lectured right now? Just give me my books so I can leave.” You shove your library card into her hands and stand there impatiently. You should’ve guessed that she’d be pretentious about something even as stupid as this. And to think you apologized for being bitchy. Shauna scans your card and grabs something behind her computer before she goes on her librarian schpeel.
“Please return the books within the allotted time. If you need an extension on the return date, please come back so we can adjust and you don’t get fined. If the books are missing or returned damaged…” She puts emphasis on that word and looks you in the eye. “Then you will be fined the full amount for a new copy of the same book. Thank you.” She finishes it off by handing you back your card with a sickly sweet smile that was so fake you wanted to roll your eyes. You start wrapping your hands around your books before she speaks up one final time.
"Also, learn to use this so you don’t destroy any more books.” She tosses a bookmark at you before going back to organizing the paperwork she put on hold to help you. The bookmark itself is almost insulting. It looks like one you’d get at the scholastic book fair as a kid, showcasing a worm with glasses and the phrase ‘Reading is cool’ in big, bold letters.
You wanted to retaliate; in fact, it seemed like she was hoping you would, loving every second of locking horns with you. But to your absolute dismay, you could think of nothing. You gathered your books and walked away, catching the smug grin that graced her lips as she caught sight of the bookmark that you took with you.
==================================

You found yourself back at the library once again, working on an essay for class. You had gotten there in the late afternoon, and since your arrival, the sky has grown dark and the light drizzle has turned into an outright downpour. You were relieved you’d brought your umbrella earlier; otherwise, the walk back to your dorm would be miserable. You had to give it to your parents; you didn’t think an umbrella was a necessity when packing for college. Boy, did they prove you wrong. However, you still thought that them having your initials etched onto the handle was a bit much, ‘in case someone stole it’ they said.
Gathering up all your books and all the items you’d had strewn about on the library table, you pack everything to head home. While you walk towards the exit, you take notice that you’re one of the few people still remaining in the building; everyone else was probably smart enough to get back before the rain picked up.
At the entrance, you find Shauna standing at the doorway but making no effort to go outside. She looked mad; she always seemed to have an upset expression on her face. You pull off your headphones that you wore when you were studying to address her. The loud music no longer playing in your ears allowed you to hear the rolling thunder that sounded off every few seconds. You decided you had a minute to spare to let the thunder pass before you continued back to your apartment. So you stood next to her, waiting for a pause in the rain so you could leave, but nothing came.
After a few minutes of standing next to her without either of you saying a word, you finally break. “Hey, waiting on a ride?” You ask, your morbid curiosity about the angry girl getting the better of you. She turns at the sound of your voice but groans upon seeing who was talking to her and turns back to face outside.
“How am I always stuck with you?” It’s a barely audible mumble, but you can hear it. She finally turns and fully faces you, leaning her back against the wall. “But to answer your question, no. I walked today, and my roommate doesn't have her license, so she can’t pick me up.” She sighs.
You give her a sympathetic look. "Oh, that sucks. Do you have far to walk?” A crack of thunder sounds during the pause for Shauna’s response. She cringes and looks miserable at the idea of walking any distance in that storm.
“I live off campus.” She says finally, after the roaring sound stopped. Jeez, that would be a long walk, and she is definitely not layered properly to brave that weather.
“Yikes, that will definitely take a while.” She groans at your statement.
”God, I’m going to kill Jackie.” The roommate, you presume, “She told me to dress light today because it’d be hot. I’m gonna be drenched when I get home.” You give her a sympathetic look before reaching into your backpack and pulling out your umbrella.
“Here.” You stand up and hold it out to her. She looked confused at it for a second, her narrowing eyes shifting between you and the umbrella you held in your hand. She quickly gathers that you were being genuine and tries to deny it.
“No, I can't take your umbrella.” She says pushing your hand back to your body.
“Don’t worry about it; I’ll be fine. I live in one of the university apartments, so it won’t take too long for me to get back. Just take it.” You hold it out again and place the umbrella in her arms.
“Are you sure? How am I gonna get it back to you?”
“Positive. And don’t sweat it; I’ll be here almost every day to study, so you can give it back whenever you get a chance.” At that, you pull the hood of your jacket over your head, leaving no room for her to argue further. “Later.” You say to her as you head out the door, and you’re sure you saw a small smile on her face as you left.
==================================
You were hoping that the most recent interaction between you and Shauna was enough to spark some sort of friendly behavior between the two of you, and you were eager to get back to the library and have her return the umbrella with a gracious smile and a ‘thank you.’ Only that’s not what happened.
In reality, you would find it waiting at the entrance with a post-it note saying ‘Y/n’ placed right over the initials on the handle. No Shauna, smile, or anything. It wounded you a bit, but you guess Shauna wasn’t that type of girl. But certainly, it was enough of a kind gesture that you’d be able to go up and talk to her.
You’d caught her sorting out books in the rows of bookshelves by the private study room that had become your usual go-to place. Shauna had noticed you frequenting the room, catching her staring a few times while you worked on an assignment for class. Lucky for you, you needed to find a book to continue working, and she happened to be right there, so what was the harm of asking her?
Sauntering up to her side as she was replacing all the novels in their rightful spot, she took no notice of you until you were right next to her. You awkwardly drummed your hands against the hardwood shelf.
“Shauna, just the girl I wanted to see! Listen, can I get your help with—”
“I’m going to stop you right there, new kid.” The nickname made you feel juvenile; you couldn’t describe the immediate effect all her words had on you. It put you on edge in an instant. Making you stand stiffer and putting on a face of confusion as she continued.
“What you did the other day, that was really nice. But just because you’re nice to me one time doesn’t mean I’m gonna like you, or wanna be friends or anything. Don’t expect any niceties from me.”
Obviously, you didn’t assume that you and her would become best friends after, but you’d thought you’d get some cordial interactions with Shauna going forward. So hearing each word was like a blow to the stomach. You couldn’t pinpoint why you wanted some semblance of a friendship or even an acquaintanceship with her. Either way, the sentiment hurt a lot more than you were willing to show, so you put on a brave face.
“Oh… I didn’t assume.” Your smile only faltered for a moment before you managed to put on a neutral expression, trying to be nonchalant about the whole thing. A part of you was hoping it was a practical joke, but Shauna doesn’t seem the type.
“Perfect, glad you’re on the same page.” Shauna flashes you a tight-lipped smile with a pair of raised eyebrows as she pushes past you. If you were grasping at straws, you would say it was at least more gentle than the first time she shoulder bumped you, but that just made you seem pathetic.
Once Shauna was out of sight, going up the stairs to the next floor, you had to resist the urge to shout out ‘You’re welcome’ at her. You returned to your study room without the book you set out to get and with a small ache in your chest.
==================================
You began to make it a habit to run into Shauna if you saw that she was working. Attempting to give her a friendly smile or greeting here and there when you could, but her words stayed fresh in your mind. ‘Just because you’re nice to her once doesn't mean she liked you.’ You gave the sentence a lot more thought than you’d care to admit. If at all possible, you were somehow more determined to make her like you after she said that, which you’re sure wasn’t the goal.
It felt as if every time you caught sight of her, your leg was bouncing up and down like you were an addict experiencing withdrawals. You debated continuing the not-caring act, hoping that your indifference to her dislike towards you would give her pause about the whole thing. Then you thought about being super positive and affectionate, but you’re positive you’d get punched in the face with that approach.
In truth, you were just desperate for any excuse to talk to her. You’d plan all sorts of things to say or do that would require her to assist you, but you'd always find yourself too nervous to even bother. It became apparent that half of your time in the library was spent working while the other half was trying to find a way to change her mind.
Another rainy day where you found yourself going to the library had you hoping that maybe Shauna would need to borrow your umbrella again. It wasn’t necessarily a great plan; in truth, it was probably the worst plan you had conceived thus far, but it was the nicest interaction you’d had with her, and you wished to replicate it if you could.
After studying for hours, you decide to call it a night and start packing up. The sun was about to set from what you could see from the windows, and the rain had certainly lightened up, which put a wrench in your plan. After packing up your bag, you head towards the front desk, only pausing when you see Shauna at her desk talking to another student.
The girl had an inviting smile while she spoke animatedly to Shauna, and Shauna wore a warm expression with her as well. You couldn’t help the small pang of jealousy that surged through you. She’d never acted like that with you; why would she be like that with this girl that you’d never even seen in the library before? You hadn’t seen Shauna so at ease conversing with someone while she worked. Every other student that you had seen approach her got the same sour expression. Like she was annoyed that anyone would disturb her by asking her to do her job.
Shauna exits from behind the desk and heads off somewhere while the girl she was talking to turns and sits down on one of the benches. You walked up to the desk while Shauna was gone, waiting for her to come back so you could maybe offer up the umbrella, but all you could do was stare at the other girl, who was seemingly waiting for Shauna as well.
She sat, scrolling through her phone, in her rain-soaked ‘Brown University Soccer’ sweatshirt. Her hair was slightly dampened on her forehead as well, but she wore the look so well that you’d think it was intentional. She was a pretty girl, no doubt about that. You could understand why Shauna had a soft smile on her face when she spoke to her. Frankly, you’d think any attention from this girl would be flattering.
Almost as if she felt your eyes on her, the girl looks up from her phone and catches you staring at her. You quickly avert your eyes, but you can still feel hers boring into the side of your face, then quickly raking over you before landing on your hands. She hums slightly, as if she found what she was looking for, before she makes her way over. You can hear the sound of her footsteps approaching you and feel her presence beside you before she speaks up. “Hey, you.”
Her raspy voice and flirtatious tone made you understand Shauna’s warmth towards the girl. You wished you could just stay looking straight, but the girl's acknowledgment made you turn your head towards her. "Oh, you’re cute.” The compliment caught you off guard. The way she said it was slightly like an observation, like she was judging you, and then slightly like she was flirting with you on her own.
“Uh, thank you.” You say it a little hesitantly, hoping it doesn’t come off as ungrateful. She points to your hand.
“That umbrella, it's yours, right?” Shit, you forgot you even had the thing on you. You nod, a little confused at her question, before she throws her arms around you and wraps you in a tight hug.
“Oh my gosh, you’re the one that let Shauna borrow it! You’re literally a lifesaver. I thought she was gonna come home soaking wet and strangle me.” Though the tone of voice she used was chipper, what she was saying was mildly concerning. She pulls away with a smile, but you guess your hesitance showed on your face as she quickly follows her sentence up with “But she didn’t, obviously.” She reaches out her hand with a smile. “I’m Jackie, Shauna’s roommate.”
You inwardly smack yourself for being stupid before smiling, taking Jackie’s hand, and introducing yourself. Jackie starts yapping at you as if you were her best friend. You liked Jackie; she was super friendly and upbeat, which was a real switch-up from her roommate.
“I’m surprised I haven't seen you in here; I spend nearly every day in this place.”
"God, yeah, I don’t come here too much. I came from class and didn’t pack a hoodie or anything, so I dropped by to ask Shauna for a ride home after her shift was over.” In the nicest way, you couldn’t see her spending too much time in the library; you just wish she did. She seems like the kind of person you’d want to hang out with.
“I’m still a little confused; how’d you know it was me that lent it to her?” Jackie scoffs with a smile.
“That stupid little engraving, silly.” If anyone else had said that, you’d have been slightly offended on behalf of your parents, but Jackie had an inflection in her tone that made it sound obviously dumb. Not to mention, she was inherently right.
“Oh god, you two met.” Shauna’s voice breaks through both of you, making you and Jackie turn to her. She’s got that blue and yellow letterman jacket on now, looking like she was about to head out with Jackie. Shauna looks at you. “What did you need?”
“Shauna, be nice!” Jackie cuts in, scolding her friend, and then looking at you with a smile. You subtly try to hide the umbrella behind your form, suddenly embarrassed at the original plan.
“Oh, just stopping by to say ‘goodnight.’” You feel yourself get a little red with both Jackie and Shauna’s attention on you. They both seem to take the reason at face value, which you’re thankful for because if they questioned you, you’re sure you’d stumble through the excuse. You avert your eyes too quickly to notice Shauna with a small smile, but Jackie doesn’t. When you look back, there’s a neutral expression on Shauna's face, but Jackie has a look of utter elation.
“So Y/n,” Jackie starts. “We have to make plans outside of university; we have to go get drinks or something. All three of us.” She puts emphasis on ‘three’ while pulling Shauna closer to the two of you.
"Oh, Jackie, that’s sweet, but I wouldn’t wanna disturb Shauna outside of office hours.” You say it with a teasing tone, but it genuinely is a fear of yours. Shauna said as much. You weren’t friends. But it seemed that Shauna couldn’t ignore the influence Jackie had.
“No, maybe we should sometime. When the semester calms down, She says it as casually as she can, so you couldn’t dare read into it more than she allowed. She turns to Jackie before you can respond. “You ready to go?” Jackie nods her head like a toddler and starts walking out. It seemed like they were going to leave you behind when she stopped and turned back towards you. “Are you going to walk out with us?”
You’re not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, so you happily trot next to them and walk out to the parking lot. You say your farewells to the two girls, Jackie being much more personable than Shauna when saying goodbye, and start heading towards the dorm while they walk to Shauna’s car. As you get further away from the pair, you can faintly hear Jackie squealing at Shauna. “Shauna, she's so cute!”
“Don’t even think about it, Jackie.”
“Not for me, for you!”
==================================
God, this new schedule was kicking your ass. You had to kick studying into high gear as exams approached. Going to class early and staying late, talking to professors, and spending almost twice the amount of time studying. You haven’t slept properly in days, needing to dedicate any extra time that you have to studying. All those instances in which you chose to study over sleep culminated in the situation you currently find yourself in.
A loud thud beside your ear jolts you from your slumber, and you hazily take in your surroundings. This wasn’t your bedroom; oh god, you fell asleep in the library? You look up at whoever woke you up and see Shauna with a disgruntled look on her face. She gathers up the books she dropped right by your head.
“It’s past close. Get out.”
“You know, you should really work on your customer service skills.” She gives you a shrug and waits for you to get moving, but otherwise she doesn't acknowledge your slight against her. You try to wipe the haziness from your eyes and adjust. It was a familiar type of feeling, like when you’d fall asleep in the car as a kid and wake up in your bedroom. You’re unfamiliar, a little uneased and so tired still. Looking at the time on your phone, you curse, suddenly feeling so bad about being the reason Shauna was still here so late. “Shit, I’m really sorry; I didn’t mean to keep you here.”
Your actions are slow as you gather up all your books that are scattered around the table in the private room. Shauna had as sympathetic a look as she was able to muster, which wasn’t much given who she was.
“Didn’t sleep last night?” She sounds like she was only half interested in your answer. You shake your head tiredly and sigh.
“Nah, since exams are around the corner, I’ve been taking extra time. And my studying runs too late, so the coffee shop closes before I get out. I can’t function without caffeine and on such little sleep.” She hums at your words and turns to walk away from you once she’s seen that you’ve almost gathered everything.
“You have drool on your cheek, by the way.” Shauna says, pointing to her own cheek to give you direction. Absolutely mortified, you quickly wipe at your face, trying to dry it. When you look at her again, Shauna smirks at you. You tried to say something in defense of yourself, but you truthfully had nothing. Even if you did, you’d think you were too tired to try.
You brush past Shauna and out the library doors and slowly wander back to your apartment and your bed.
The next day, you were back in the library at about the same time that you arrived yesterday. Only this time, when you went to the study room you always booked, there was a cup left behind with a small post-it note attached to it. ‘Just so you don’t fall asleep in here again, I wanna leave on time - Shauna.’
==================================
Shauna and having a place to study weren’t the only reasons you came to the library, though. Sometimes you were simply looking for reading material. The latest trendy book was making its way through the recommendation lists, and you were finally convinced to get it. The only problem was that the local Barnes & Noble sold out of all their copies. Your friend told you there was a copy available in the library, so you went there to try and find it. You just so happened to be going during Shauna’s hours, which you were unaware of until too late.
Approaching the desk without sparing a glance at the attendant that was working while you pulled up the name and author of the book on your phone.
“Hi, I’ve been looking for this book, I—”
"Oh, hey, transfer kid.” The familiar voice startled you. Your voice catches in your throat, suddenly horrifyingly aware that you were about to get Shauna to help you find a cornier version of a Wuthering Heights-type tragic-romance story.
“You said you were looking for a book?” Your mind goes blank, trying to think of any book title that would make you seem cool and intelligent. You had nothing. You try to hide your phone screen so Shauna can’t see the cover or name, desperately trying to protect her image of you. It being one of those sad romance books, you were positive that Shauna would make fun of you for it.
After you don't respond, Shauna takes it upon herself to glance at the screen before you can properly hide it.
“Is that the one? Here, lemme see if I can find it.” Shauna gestures to your phone in hand, and you weigh the options. This did seem to be the only way you’d get your hands on a copy, so you hesitantly handed her your phone.
Upon seeing the specific book you were trying to check out, Shauna’s reaction was not immediately making fun of you, which was surprising. Rather, she wore an introspective face before giving you a sympathetic look.
"Oh, sorry, the library copy is out, and there’s a long waitlist.” God, of course you’d embarrass yourself for nothing. Now Shauna would think you were one of those romance novel girls; that’s humiliating. You can’t help but let your disappointment slip into your reaction.
“Dammit, I was actually really looking forward to reading it.” Shauna looks as if she was contemplating something before looking at you with an intent expression. “Wait here; I’ll be right back.”
She swiftly heads towards the back office of the library, leaving you alone standing at the front desk. You shift momentarily before Shauna returns, a book in hand. As soon as she’s in front of you, she gives the book to you; miraculously, it was a copy of the novel you were looking for.
“What? No way, you have a copy?” You excitedly grab the book and skim through it. It looked like it had already been read back and forth; the margins on every other page were littered with annotations. It takes only a moment for it to click, and your smile drops. “Shauna, I can't borrow this; it’s yours.”
You try to hand it back to her, and she steadfastly backs away from your outstretched hand, trying to return the novel to her.
“No, take it and read it. You wanted to.” It’s the most sincere Shauna has ever been with you. Her insistence made you blush. She looks like she knew she won the argument because she smirked at you. “Just promise me you’ll use that bookmark.” Shauna seemed to be more of a romantic than she’d led you to believe.
==================================
After studying for weeks on end, your friends finally convince you to head out to a party for one night. ‘It’s not going to kill you.’ They said. Well, they aren’t waist deep in final projects and essays in their new school. Whatever will shut them up for a few days, and maybe you missed going out a little.
Arriving at one of the already packed sorority houses, your friends disperse to collect alcohol from the kitchen area and leave you alone. If you were going to be away from your desk and unable to study, you were at least going to make the most of it, you supposed. Very quickly, you find yourself wandering around the party, pouring shots of vodka down your throat like water. You’d worry about the hangover when it came, for now you were focusing on the fun. An hour or so passes when you decide to try and find your friends.
Stumbling into a different room, you see a familiar figure off in the corner, nursing her drink and looking into the crowd of people dancing. Shauna was certainly a sight; even in your drunken stupor, you could see she looked stunning. Trading in her usual flannel for an eye-catching red dress, you’re sure due in no small part to Jackie’s insistence.
You approach her, the drink in your hand sloshing as you walk, as she’s still staring somewhere deep into the crowd. You startle her slightly when you speak.
“Hey, Shauna.” You slur out.
“Oh Jesus. Hey.” She clutches her chest slightly before offering you a small smile. She takes you in for a second and scoffs gently. She raises her eyebrow at you, questioningly. “How plastered are you? You smell like a distillery.”
You pout at her, "Oh, come on, Shauna, can’t a girl live?” Shauna rolls her eyes at you and focuses back on the crowd. “I wouldn’t have guessed this to be your scene.” You try. You’re not sure Shauna can hear you; she's staring so intensely in the same direction as before. Your curiosity gets the better of you.
“What’re we looking at?” You try to find out who she's staring at and find Jackie in Shauna’s sight line.
“Trying to make sure that girl doesn't make the mistake of getting back with her ex.” You look next to Jackie and see a blonde boy next to her, eyeing her up and down as she does her best to ignore him.
“Jesus,” You squint to get a good look at the guy. “He looks like he bathes in Axe.” Jackie dated him? She must’ve been doing charity work or something. You grimace at Shauna.
“You can smell him walk into a room before you see him.” She confirms with a smirk. You gag at the thought. You look back to Jackie, who was already excitedly making her way over, leaving her ex behind. As soon as she gets to you, she wraps you in a tight hug.
“Y/n!” She squeals at you as she pulls back from your embrace. “It’s so good to see you! Doesn’t Shauna look great in the dress I picked out for her?” You called it.
“Yeah, she looks great.” You smile at Shauna, who averts her eyes from you, and Jackie just beams.
“See, Shauna? Everyone loves the boob dress.”
“The what?” Shauna groans at your question. Jackie gestures to the low-cut baby doll dress Shauna was wearing.
“This lovely dress that I got Shauna last year, which she never wears,” Jackie pouts at her friend. The boob dress was certainly a fitting name for the piece of fabric. “Anywho, I have to run and find someone to kiss so Jeff will stop following me around tonight. Y/n?” Jackie smiles at you, flirtily and invitingly.
“Goodbye Jackie.” Shauna says it firmly, leaving no room for Jackie to debate.
“Aw, no fun, Shippy.” Jackie pouts as she begins backing up. "Okay, bye, Y/n, bye Shauna. Text me when we’re heading home!” And with that, Jackie quickly disappears into the crowd. You turn to Shauna.
“Well—” your sentence is quickly cut off by a large body colliding with yours, sending you flying into Shauna. The smell of Axe fills your nose as the boy follows after Jackie.
“Jackie, wait up!” Jeff shouts desperately at her, trying to catch up to her.
“I hate him already.” You say as you separate from being pressed up against Shauna. Once you look down, you find your cup empty; the contents spilled all over the front of Shauna’s dress.
“Oh my god, no! We gotta get that out; lemme help.”
You grab Shauna by the hand, leading her throughout the party and into the upstairs bathroom. You begin drunkenly fumbling with the faucet and hand towels, trying to wet them so you can try and dab out the stain the drink would surely leave. Shauna keeps trying to calm you down, but her words drown out as you lightly press the towel against her body repeatedly.
The room is silent as you get more and more desperate to get the stain out of her dress, if not for Shauna, for Jackie. She was tiny, but she still didn’t seem like the kind of girl you’d want to upset.
“Y/n, seriously, I think you’re taking this way more seriously than you should.” Shauna tries to assure you, but your drunken state can’t let it go.
“God, Jackie’s going to kill me for ruining the boob dress.” You say it only half jokingly, because Jackie may actually kill you for that. The far-off look you gave as you spoke made Shauna burst into laughter.
You’d never seen her laugh before. The sight was so intimate to you that you felt like you should avert your eyes for her privacy, but you simply couldn’t. You were entranced by her. The moment felt different to you. Driven by all the alcohol in your system, you surge forward and lock lips with Shauna.
Her lips tasted of the cherry-flavored jungle juice they were serving in the kitchen, and her lips were so soft. But Shauna wasn’t reciprocating. It’s only two seconds later that you realize what you've done. You pull away, and Shauna’s eyes are wide open in shock. You suddenly feel so very sober.
“Shit, Shauna I am so sorry! I didn’t mean to do that; well, I did, but I thought you felt the same but—” You take a breath from rambling and try to think for a moment. "Okay, wait, let me restart. I really like you. I’ve felt this way for a while. You’re so stunning, and you give me a hard time, but it's never annoying when it’s you. I wanna see if we could maybe go out because I think you’re incredible. Please?”
The words pour out of you like a fire hydrant. You couldn’t stop the flow if you tried, and the more you said, the more shocked Shauna looked. She doesn’t utter a word; she just stares at you. You’re not sure you’d like what she had to say if she spoke, but any reaction is better than no reaction.
“Shauna?” Shauna glances into your eyes, at your lips, and then runs out the door. It seemed that all at once Shauna regained movement in her body; she was here one second and gone the next, and suddenly you were alone in the bathroom.
“Fuck.”
==================================

The following Sunday, you make your way back to the library, mostly to try and smooth things over with Shauna. You really messed everything up. You got caught up in the moment, and she just looked so good. You hoped she’d be able to accept your apology; the guilt was eating you alive, and you really didn’t want to have to go downtown to the city’s library instead.
Walking up to the desk, you found an unfamiliar attendant. There's no sign of Shauna, but maybe she's still in the library somewhere.
“Hi, excuse me, is Shauna working?” You ask the girl.
“No, sorry.” She gives you a small sympathetic look.
“Oh, well, if she comes in, can you tell her Y/n is in study room 125, and I’d like to talk to her if I can?” You try, hoping that Shauna will come in for a later shift or something. She nods, and you thank her, making your way to the room slightly dejected. It would've been helpful to just talk to Shauna then and there and beg for her forgiveness, but you guess you’ll have to try the hard way if Shauna’s even willing to speak with you.
Every minute feels exponentially longer. You tried to focus on doing some work—any work, in fact—but you just kept glancing at the clock and seeing how much time had elapsed since you got here. The hours ticked by so slowly and so quickly at the same time, and before you knew it, the library was closing.
The final warning tone sounded to signify that the library was closed. You looked out the window of the private room and saw the remaining students filing out of the library until you were the last person. You guessed you’d have to talk to Shauna another night. You begin the process of saving all your work and packing up when your focus is broken by the sound of the study room’s door opening.
You turn and find Shauna; her eyes already raking over you with an intensity that makes you shiver. She closes the door, still facing you, and leans back against it. You get up from your chair and approach her.
“Shauna, I was looking for you. Listen, I am so sorry. I was so drunk and crossed a boundary.” You try to keep some distance between the two of you so you don’t make her uncomfortable. Her expression was unreadable, with her jaw clenched and her brown eyes holding a scrutinizing gaze on you. You can’t help but feel small in the awkwardness of the moment. You wished the world would swallow you whole with every second of silence that passed between the two of you.
“Did you mean it?” She says, finally breaking the silence. You give her a confused look, not entirely sure what she was referring to. Her gaze hardens on you as she repeats herself.
“All the stuff you said the other night, did you mean it?”
“Well, yeah, but we don’t have to talk about—” She crosses over to you before you can finish your sentence and silences you with her lips. She tugs possessively at your hair with one hand while the other finds solace grabbing at your shirt with a balled-up fist. The action catches you so off guard that you have to think for a moment about how you ended up kissing her again. It doesn't take more than a second to process and place your hands on her waist, pulling her body closer to you.
Shauna mumbles something against your lips that you couldn’t make out, so you continue kissing her. After a second, she pulls back and says it again. “Fuck me, now.” You barely have time to nod your head ‘yes’ before she's attacking your lips again and pulling you towards the study room table.
Once her legs are pressed against the edge of the table, you lift her by her thighs to sit on top of it, never once breaking the kiss as she starts undoing her jeans. Once she has them unzipped, you assist her in tugging them down her legs. You couldn’t help but let a hand wander from her waist down to grip at her newly exposed thighs. The tight muscles in her legs are tensing at the soft caress of your touch.
Her hand on your shoulder makes its way to grab your jaw, and she moves your mouth to her neck. Shauna moans the second you start sucking small hickies onto the skin right under her ear. Her hand slowly snakes over your shoulder, grabbing you by the back of the neck to keep you in place, while the other is managing to strip off her underwear.
Shauna is able to work the fabric down to her knees when she pulls you to her lips again. The kiss was brief, as she pulled away slightly. She grabs your hand and inserts your middle and ring fingers into her mouth, all while holding your gaze. She drags her tongue over each finger, and you could go weak at the sight alone. The feeling of her going over and around each index made you shiver at the sensation.
She pulls them out and moves them down her body towards the apex of her legs. You didn’t need the instruction; you’d have done it gladly, but something told you she liked the control. So you allowed her to puppeteer your hand any way she pleased.
The second your fingers touched her pussy, you were able to feel just how wet she was, and you resist the urge to tease her because of how badly you needed to fuck her. Shauna groans, her nails digging into the flesh of your neck, as soon as you slide your fingers up her lips, pausing at her entrance.
“Fingers, inside.” Shauna says to you, and you do as you’re told. Sliding into Shauna with no resistance, she sighs, finally satisfied, as you begin slowly pumping in and out of her. Every time you thrust your fingers deep into her, she’d pull your torso impossibly closer to her, leaving you barely any space to move your arms so you could continue fucking her.
The lewd, wet sounds she made as you pumped were only interrupted by her breathy moans. You want to draw this out as long as you can, beginning to slow down your pace, much to Shauna's anger.
“What are you doing? Why are you stopping?” Her eyes were wide and filled with frustration.
“Say ‘Please.’” You state simply, continuing your slow pace and placing your other hand on Shauna’s waist.
“What? No.” Shauna looks angry; you even asked that of her.
“I wanna hear you say it,” you say, getting close to her ear. “Or else I’ll stop.” You pull back from Shauna with a large grin.
“No way.” You simply shrug and start to remove your hand from between her legs. As soon as you try to move your hand, Shauna clamps your hand between her thighs. It’s only then that she realizes you were being serious. She tries mumbling it against your skin at first, but it doesn’t make you finger her any faster. She even tries grinding her hips against your hand, to no avail, as your hand is holding them steady.
“Beg Shipman.” You look at Shauna with a devilish smirk before sucking hickies onto Shauna’s neck while you wait for her to comply. She simply had no other way to avoid it.
“Please!” It’s a desperate cry. Louder than you expected she’d be, truthfully.
“Shhhh, you have to be quiet in the library. Remember?” Shauna can feel you smirk against her neck in between the open-mouthed kisses you left there. She tried to string together an insult or quip in response quickly, but your thumb doing slow, firm circles on her clit was making her draw a blank. Your hot breath on the side of her neck and shoulders was fogging up her mind even more than she thought possible, and she desperately tried to get out a single coherent thought.
“Fuck y—oh my fucking god.” Shauna’s sentence is cut off by you biting down on her shoulder and picking up the pace once again, faster this time. Her eyes shut in bliss as she held your hand in place between her legs.
After a few more pumps, Shauna’s cumming for you with a gasp and a call of your name. Her nails rake down your back, and you know they left marks even over the shirt you were wearing. Once Shauna opened her eyes again, the hazy look she previously had was replaced with blown pupils. You can’t help the smug grin that overtakes your features.
“Did I seriously hear you say ‘please’ at some point? Shauna, it's wonderful that you’re finally learning your manners.” You smiled at her, and she did not look thrilled at the comment.
Her hand that was gripping onto your shoulder slowly inched up to your face, cupping one of your cheeks. She stared at your lips possessively while she lightly rubbed her thumb across them.
“I can think of a better use for this mouth instead of you running it.” Shauna pulls you in for a kiss, smirking against your lips and quickly breaking the kiss to direct your head in between her legs.
==================================

The next day, when you came to the library and went into your study room, you found yet another coffee waiting for you with another note.
‘Date Friday at 7 p.m. Don’t be late. - Shauna.’

Ran
His 4 year old who was overly shy when meeting anyone even with him at times. She had a hard time asking her father something she would often be stuttering or second guessing herself. She was sitting on  the couch from a distance and she could see the cookie jar  on the kitchen counter. She would look at the cookie jar then back at her program she was watching. Ran looked at his little one and he thought she must have saw something but the more he paid attention he saw where her eyes were looking. He could see her fiddling with her fingers unsure if she should ask for a cookie. Ran knew it was hard as she tried to come out of her shell. He has been trying to help her break this small habit although he thought it was super cute. Getting up from the couch he walked to the kitchen grabbing the cookie jar. Bringing it back to the couch  “These cookies sure do look good huh princess?” opening the jar holding a yummy cookie in his hand. She looked at her dad then at the cookie giving a bashful nod. “Would you like a cookie princess?”
“Y..yes please.” she was cupping her own cheeks as she asked. Ran giving her the cookie he could see the cute little smile on her face. “Th-ank you daddy.”
“You can always ask me to get you something. You don't ever need to think I wouldn't be able to be princess” Ran smiled seeing her taking a bite of the cookie.
Rindou
Holding his small child in his arms, he had forgotten something in his office and he needed to grab it. His daughter hardly came into his work but this time it was just in and out situation, he didn’t want her to be exposed to anything if something was going on. But since mommy was busy today papa Rin was on daddy duty.. “Papa needs to just grab something really quick okay?”
“Kay” she softly whispered. Her eyes wandered around looking at the lobby. She noticed someone approaching and she buried her face into her dad’s shoulder. Rin rubbing his daughters head she saw the assistant approach “what is it?” he asked “Sir we need you to sign these.” They spoke with a clipboard and pen. Letting out an annoyed sigh grabbing the pen, he scribbled his signature on the front page. They noticed  the little ones eyes peeking at them then buried her face once. “ Aww she is cute, is she shy?”
“No, your face just scared her so she is hiding it.” he spoke in a monotone voice, handing them the pen and walking to his office. The assistant's mouth dropped as he passed them. Getting into his office his daughter picked up her head. “You okay sweetheart?” brushing the strands of hair out of her face seeing her cute little chubby cheeks. She briefly looked into her fathers eyes then looking down, she nodded. Kissing her chubby cheek he picked up the item he needed “let's get going.”
Hakkai
When he would be back in town his daughter was thrilled to see him. Taking her out to have a good time was a little bit hard because of the paparazzi. Going to dinner was at times challenging. Anytime going out to eat, cameras flashed and at times she didn’t want to eat. Getting the car parked he could already see some paparazzi outside the restaurant. His daughter looked out the window to see the many people with cameras, knowing they wanted to see her father. He didn’t want to make her uncomfortable because he knows what it's like,  still at times he would still be awkward around women (unless it's his wife and Yuzuha). “Do you want to go honey?” Hakkai asked her. “You know we don’t have to.” “It’s- it’s okay daddy I can go in.” she gave a weary smile. She wanted to show her father she was gonna put on her bravo face to do this for him.
He leaned over the driver seat and patted her head who was in the back booster  seat “why don’t we come back when mommy and Aunt Yuzuha  are not working. We can order pizza tonight.”  He admired how she tried to do this for him but he would have to agree he would rather eat in his own home in peace and his daughter enjoying her food.
“Really?” her head perked up.
“Yeah let’s get going.” He started the car up and began to head home. Looking through the rear view mirror he could see the relax expression of his daughter as they both were driving farther and farther away from the restaurant.
Hanma “Do you want to play with the other kids?” he asked as he crouched down at eye level to his daughter. She shook her head. “Why?” “Cause ..” she was playing with the hem of her shirt.
“Cause is not a good reason, my little doll.” Hanma said. This was completely different to him, he swore he was going to get served karma for being a bad ass kid. But it was the opposite: his daughter was quiet and overly shy. He kinda wanted her to get into trouble or just live as a kid, make mistakes, yell and scream from the top of her lungs. But then again if he had a kid that was as bad as him he would be pulling his hair out.  “Look there are some kids around your age, go introduce yourself.” he pointed at a group of kids running around.
“But but.” she quietly said.
“No buts just try.”
“What if they don’t like me?”  She looked at the ground.
“Then daddy will scare the shit out of those little shits  if they are mean to you…. But if they aren’t you will have fun like the kid you are.” his hand on her back giving her a nudge towards the group of kids. Hanma stood as his daughter began walking towards the group of kids. Now he was waiting to see if he was going to chill out and relax or scare the shit out of some kids.
Taiju
He was going to have an opening at a new restaurant in the morning. He was finishing the final preparations and his daughter was sitting next to him the entire time. He was thankful she was well behaved but noticed her shy behavior took control of her majority of the time. His daughter hardly came with him to openings for his new restaurants; she didn’t like large crowds. Over the years Taiju grew more patience and didn’t have  a lot of outbursts like he did in his teens. The one time it happened in front of his daughter, she didn’t go anywhere near him for a while. He never wanted her to feel uncomfortable when he was around.  When he knew a lot of the stuff was ready for tomorrow he would always let her explore the new restaurant freely when there were no people there. She walked around the tables and she was barely able to see the top of the tables.
“What do you think toots?” he asked, following her around.
“It’s pwetty.” sheepishly speaking  she noticed the large tank and all the different fishes and sea creatures in it. She stood in front of the tank amazed at the large fish in front of her. Picking her up “what is the big one called?” She was still learning about sea creatures.
Blinking a few times she tried to remember the name of the large fish “shawk.”  she questionably responded with her cheeks slightly red.
“Shark.” he pronounced slowly.
“Shhhawwwk,” she tried to pronounce it.
“At a girl.” kissing her temple. “What about the small orange one?” he pointed.
“Nemo!” she startled herself then covered her mouth.
Her little fingers still on her mouth looking up at her dad. “It is Nemo.” He honestly forgot that species'  of fish name.
Kokonoi
He loved taking his daughter out with him whether it was on a trip, shopping, or going out for a while.  He  wanted a new wardrobe for his daughter for the trip they were planning this weekend. Holding her hand as they entered the boutique shop, she could see the pretty dresses on the racks. No matter the price on the item he would get it for her. “Do you see anything you like?” he asked.
Bringing her finger to her lips she looked around until she saw a pretty yellow dress. She looked at her father, her hand pointed to the yellow dress. She didn’t walk until her father did. At times he wanted to be a little more excited and say something. She appreciated every single thing her daddy bought for her. Koko did his own research on how to make her open up a bit more. He was a confident man and he wanted to show his daughter she could do it too. Plucking the dress from the rack so she could take it to the dressing room. “Remember sweetie, ask them  you want to try it on.”
She nodded and he followed close behind. She made her way to the fitting room “excuse me… may I try this on?” Her cheeks were flushed looking at the sales lady.”
The lady nodded and escorted them to the fitting room. He was proud she managed to ask herself this time. Making baby step was positive progress in his eyes.
 He waited outside the door where she was at when she had the dress on. “ you look so beautiful..” he crouched down, taking both of his daughter's hands. “ I’m very proud you were able to ask to try on the dress. I knew you could do it. That’s my girl.” Koko praised the progress she did, he literally bought everything in the store.
Draken
It’s not that his daughter didn’t like anyone she loved them all but when giving her compliments on how cute she is or adorable the daughter of Draken was. She got super shy. Some of the Toman members thought it was cute how Draken was  her protector. “ awww she ran to her daddy” Mikey teased the small copy and paste of Draken just as a little girl.
His daughter burying her face into his shirt “knock it off with the  teasing her you know we are trying to break the shyness .” Draken said he rubbed her back and glared at Mikey.
“Okay okay we will stop.” Mikey gave a grin. He gave his niece a hard time all her uncles did.
 As they continued the conversation, she removed her face from her father's shirt. She has made a lot of progress in the past few weeks. She would have had  her face still covered but now she was feeling more comfortable when the groups weren’t too large. Slowly Draken would have her join in the conversation he knew she would be able to talk about. The whole conversation was about the fair coming up. “Tell them which ride you are excited to go on.” “The ferris wheel.” speaking in a soft voice. “It’s so big and you can see everything when your on top.”
“Literally the cutest response  I’ve ever heard.”  Kazutora spoke. They all saw her cheeks burning. Draken glaring at his direction.
“Her protector is ready to attack.” Mikey smirked.
Sanzu
“That’s my baby right there!” Sanzu shouts as his daughter walks onto the stage for her dance recital.. He did blame himself for how shy she was because he really never wanted his own child to be exposed to anything he was doing, as she was getting older he could see how it was affecting her.  Putting her in a big activity was hard in the beginning; she held onto Sanzus hand the entire time. Sanzu had worked with her for many days on her routine. Even ways of trying to help overcome shyness.  The more she went to the classes the more she began to enjoy it. Hearing her father yell for her as she was on the stage. She has her pretty pink tutu on with a little tiara on. As the music began she was trying not to look at the crowded audience, when she did try and look at her dad she missed a few steps.
Even though she was missing a few steps, a lot of other little girls were missing steps. The parents giggling through the audience. As they did their final poses the crowd cheered for them. When the recital was done he found his daughter and he had a small bouquet of flowers in his hand. When his daughter saw he she immediately ran to his clinging onto her fathers leg. “You did amazing out there baby!” kneeling down as he handed her the flowers. Her little cheeks burning seeing the pretty flower. “But I messed up.” She had a small frown. She tried her hardest and wanted to show her dad she could do it.
“Shit happens and you did great. You were the best out there.” Cupping her cheeks. “The more you practice the more you will get it down”  he brought a small smile on his his precious child’s face.

for every question... j.ww
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
✧ pairing: tutor!wonwoo x fem!reader ✧ genre: smut // 18+ ✧ w/c: 1k ✧ warnings: orgasm denial, fingering, mentions of a blowjob, mentions of another denied orgasm, slight bondage themes ✧ synopsis: having wonwoo as your maths tutor was exciting, especially when he rewarded or punished you based on how you answered your questions ✧ a/n: this is just a very short thought I had bc he won't get out of my mind, if you would like a part 2 please let me know i'd be happy to write something!
Tumblr media
"what's the answer to question 4?" wonwoo's soft voice fills the room and you wrack your brain for an answer. you tap your pencil on your lip absentmindedly, not even noticing wonwoo's gaze falling to where the pencil lies, his mind drifting off.
your math teacher had noticed your failing grades and decided to pair you up with wonwoo, the smartest in the class. you had been against the idea at first, seeing as the man in question was extremely reserved and didn't really speak to anyone.
however, when he was alone with you his true personality flourished and you were able to see how cocky and teasing he could really be underneath the layers of reservation. you were beginning to enjoy maths now that he was involved.
he had a very specific tactic that he used with you when he came to tutor on a Wednesday evening. for every question you got right, you received an orgasm. for every question you got wrong, he denied it. so far the tactic had worked well, and you had rarely been denied an orgasm.
but tonight, you were both distracted and it might've just been because wonwoo had come straight from the gym, his tank top exposing his glorious arms that could crush your skull if he pressed hard enough.
"darling, i need an answer," wonwoo chuckles, bringing you out of your train of thought. you feel your cheeks warm as you look down at the question in front of you again, the numbers and letters scrambling into one giant pile of confusion.
"i- i don't know," you mumble, your cheeks growing warmer and you just know that wonwoo is staring at you coldly. he knows you know the answer, but he's not sure if you're just not all there tonight or you have some different motive.
"sure you do, angel, you just need to divide these two numbers, add the second number to this one and-" you cut him off by pressing a finger to his lips, your brain moving a mile a minute and your heart beating as fast as a rabbits.
"wonwoo, i truly don't know the answer, i will just take the denial later on," you smile, and you see a spark in his eyes that you haven't seen for a while. he smirks and places a hand on your upper thigh, squeezing the flesh, but not moving any further.
"alright, let's just move on then, something a little harder for you." he enunciates his sentences by sliding his hand up your thigh a little further, now underneath your skirt and fiddling with the hem of your underwear.
your breath hitches, and you try your best to concentrate on the question at hand. calculus always had you stumped, and this time it was no exception. you stared at the question for a good 5 minutes, before even attempting to try and answer it.
wonwoo keeps a small smile on his face while he watches your body react to his touches. he knows you're trying hard to focus on the task at hand, but he also is aware that you're probably already soaking your panties and he wants to be buried inside you as soon as possible.
he's daring, that's for sure. just when you think you've got an idea on how to answer the question and begin scribbling onto the paper, he slides his slim fingers across the front of your panties and press against the distinct wet patch that has you gasping and spreading your legs.
"stay focused, and don't cum."
his words bounce around in your mind which soon turns to mush as he pushes your panties to the side, the pad of his thumb quickly finding your clit and rubbing slow, teasing circles. your body jolts at the coolness of his fingers, and he has to drape one of his legs over yours to keep your legs open.
he works on your clit for a while, before alternating between running down your slit and back up again, teasing your hole and chuckling when you pulse around nothing. he can see your facade slowly breaking and shifting into one he's grown familiar with, but he wants to see how long it can take you to crack.
"so, do you have an answer yet? remember if you get this one wrong that will be 2 denied orgasms," his voice has dropped an octave and he's taken his teasing further by now pressing a finger inside you, your entrance sucking him in and pulsing rapidly.
"i think s-so, is it 207?" your voice is shaky, you hope you haven't given him the wrong answer, although your mind isn't so worried about it currently when you can feel the pit of your stomach beginning to tighten with an impending orgasm.
he checks over your working out and answers, now sliding a second finger inside you and scissoring you open while you spread your legs and let a moan slip. he glances at you over his glasses and smirks darkly when he comes to the conclusion that you've gotten the answer wrong. again.
"sorry sweetheart, that's two in a row that you've gotten wrong. you know what to do now."
his fingers slip out of you, a strangled whine escaping you as you're once again left clenching around nothing. he watches as you stand and begin removing your clothing piece by piece, until you're standing in front of him stark naked.
he grins and unzips his jeans and removes his hardened cock from them, stroking himself at the sight of you all worked up and dripping onto your thighs. he beckons you over with his eyes, and you drop to your knees in front of him, awaiting his next move.
"so you've had one denied orgasm already, you have one to go. but first, you are gonna suck me off and then maybe I'll consider fucking you until you can't walk. you still won't be able to cum though, so watch your actions."
you nod and extend a hand out to grasp at his cock, but he playfully slaps it away. you tilt your head in confusion, watching as his removes his tie and leans over you, tying your hands behind your back so that they're restricted by the black silk.
"you can only use your mouth, no hands."
boy, was he having your work cut out for you.

A list of Nightmare Time episode ideas that I thought of and I think would be cool:
1.) Mr. Chasity has been trying to sell the old Waylon Place for far too long. After trying and failing over and over, he decides to take matters into his own hands by going in himself to see what all the fuss is about. But nothing could have prepared him to meet the real ghosts of Waylon Hall. And boy oh boy do they have shenanigans in store. (The episode would be called 'Unholy Ghost') .
2.) It's been a few months since Hatchetfield was destroyed in that awful 'accident'. Emma and Paul have been living under the aliases Kelly and Ben Bridges. (there can be a joke where Emma doesn't even pretend to care about her alias and Paul cares too much.) They live in Colorado now. Emma's finally started her pot farm, and Paul is working in marketing. For the most part, they have a good life. Only Paul's acting a bit different lately. Emma caught him humming company jingles, tapping his foot to a beat she can't hear. Maybe those spores he inhaled had some effect on him. It's probably nothing, but he's never sung in the shower before...(I don't have a name for this one yet.) .
3.) Max Jägerman is failing remedial algebra. In fact, he's doing so poorly that his dad shells out and hires him a tutor, PJ. (Bryce's nerd from 'Literal Monster.) He reluctantly lets her help him. At first it seems to work and his grades are rising steadily, but as PJ lets her guard down, Max starts to notice some things. Strange symbols scribbled in the margins of her notebook, almost like...jagged smiles? Weird stains on her hands, when she gets too close she smells like roadkill. And there's this white spider that keeps showing up in his room. Sometimes he feels like it's trying to tell him something. Or warn him. Without knowing what he's gotten himself into, Max has to evade getting his soul swallowed by a hungry god of darkness. (The episode is called 'Dirty Dude Soup') .
4.) Charlotte Sweetly is jealous. Her church friend, Carol Davidson, has exactly the kind of life she wants. Charlotte's seen the way her boss talks about his wife, and would give anything for Sam to feel that way about her. One day, Charlotte finally gathers her courage and asks her how she does it. Carol takes pity on her, and decides to reveal an important secret: it's all the product of a ritual, an ancient spell she stumbled upon on a trip to an amusement park. She claims that ever since she did it, her husband can't get enough of her. "I am all he sees. He calls me the apple of his eye." Charlotte doesn't believe her at first, but Carol gave her the instructions, and why the hell not? She tries it. Unfortunately, Charlotte messes up the wording. The spell still works, but not quite as intended. And an all-seeing police officer could be a good thing, but Sam is not a good police officer. (maybe let's call this one 'Omnipocop'. But that's awful to spell so suggestions are welcome) .
5.) While trying to be an assistant, Steph accidentally botches one of Pete's science projects. He forgives her, but she still feels bad even as he assures her it's no big deal, throwing the mix of chemicals out his window just to prove it. What he doesn't know is that the last family that lived in the Spankoffski house buried their dog in the backyard, and Pete's chemical slurry just brought it back to life. On a probably unrelated note, Paul has been trying to ignore the damage he's finding in his apartment. He's been chalking most of the tipped over garbage cans and torn apart cushion up to rats--giant rats?--or maybe a squirrel. But when a decades-old "missing dog" poster shows up on his doorstep, he can't ignore the truth for any longer. (the episode would be called "Patches' Revenge" and I thing it would work because it's just the right amount of weird. It would end with Paul teaming up with the nerds to defeat undead Patches with science.) .
6.) To his utter delight, Miss Holloway finally agreed to go out with Duke on a proper date. Nothing huge, just some ice cream and a walk on the beach. They're both enjoying themselves when Miss Holloway hears something. Duke can't hear it, but he still follows her down the shore to some kind of cave grotto, where she claims the noise is coming from. She tosses a pebble into the water, testing how it might react. A few moments later, the pebble come flying out again. Duke is stunned, but Miss Holloway tosses her ice cream cone. Sure enough, a few moments later is comes flying back, perfectly dry. They've clearly discovered something, and over the next few days, Duke and Miss Holloway experiment and try to learn about the grotto and the water in it. It's too deep to see the bottom, so their tests mostly involve tossing different things to see how they'll react. Little do they know, there was a reason Miss Holloway could hear a noise coming from the cave. There's a reason it drew her in, too. There's something singing to her, something that lives at the bottom of the grotto. And with each thing they feed it, it becomes a little bit stronger...(and then it's called something unassuming like "Wavecrest Cave")
So that's Nightmare Time season four all lined up. Please tell me if you have a good name idea for episodes 2 and 4. Also if anyone wants to use these as writing prompts, be my guest (just tag me so I can read them)

[4:38 PM] Oikawa Toru [8]
A long-awaited chapter, thank you for being patient with me. Happy March everyone.
Warning: angst & hurt, smut
Seventh part Nineth part
.
“Teo, when do you think Y/n would be back?” Toru asked his son who was busy suckling his four fingers. He was drooling incredibly the last couple of days, having to go through three or four outfits in one day.
At the sound of Y/n’s name, the baby looked up and his eyes searched the room.
“She’s not back yet, but her appointment is taking longer than expected.” Toru sighed in disappointment. Even though he saw her about two hours ago, he missed her.
Not just physically…
He chuckled to himself, feeling like a teenager all over again.
He’s having the most sex in his life in the last couple of weeks. Toru believed he may have a problem.
A problem of not being able to keep his hands off of her. Or from being inside of her.
It’s astonishing how quickly they’ve grown close in such a short span. While it doesn’t compensate for the time that slipped away between them, he had a lifetime ahead to make amends, forging new memories to replace the lost time.
For a while, he bore the weighty burden of fearing that Y/n might find being with him and Mateo overwhelming, prompting her to consider leaving. However, with each passing day, she unwittingly reassures him that she desires him, that she wants to be with the both of them.
His heart fills with warmth witnessing their togetherness. It nearly overflows when strangers compliment them on what a beautiful family they make.
That’s his deepest desire – to create a loving family with them.
“Feeling tired? Ready for a nap?” Toru inquired, observing Mateo’s yawn and weary eyes. Lifting his son, he reached for his blanket, attempting to swaddle Mateo in the manner Y/n usually does, but finding it challenging. “One second…” he coos as Mateo begins to whine, fighting against his father.
Toru steps back, hands on his hips as he lets out a frustrated sigh while Mateo is wailing at the top of his lungs. He is never like this with Y/n when she puts him down for a nap…
“Okay, okay,” he coos, picking his son up and rocking him. He grabs the blanket and Mateo immediately grabs it, hugging it tightly. He calms down but continues to fuss.
Something clicked in Toru’s head as he walked into his bedroom picked up one of Y/n’s worn shirts out of his laundry basket and brought it close to his son. He remembered reading that babies were sensitive to scent.
True to the theory, Mateo immediately clutched onto Y/n’s shirt and calmed down.
With a loud sigh, Toru continued to rock his son who soon closed his eyes and napped.
Carefully, he laid down on his bed with his son on his chest. Closing his eyes, he figured he might as well take a nap too with this son. After all, it’ll make time go by faster until Y/n returns.
.
Y/n opened her eyes, alerted when she heard cooing and nails clawing at her jaw. “Hey you,” she smiled at Mateo who woke up from his nap.
After her doctor's appointment, she took a long walk along the river to clear her mind.
“W – what?” Y/n uttered.
To the doctor’s suspicion, she had no idea. She inhaled and exhaled deeply before repeating herself, “you are pregnant, Y/n. Did you not know?” She looked down at the piece of paper with all her messy scribbles. “Earlier when I was asking you basic questions you told me that you noticed how you had a lack of energy, just physically tired and napped more than usual?” Y/n stared at her with a blank stare. “When I conducted your physical examination you flinched when I felt for any abnormal lumps in your breast and you noted that your breasts have been sensitive lately?”
And she was embarrassed that her doctor had seen the red hickies on her chest that were left from Toru.
“Yes,” Y/n barely whispered, “I remember.” She swallowed, she didn’t know why it did not click prior but now everything was beginning to make sense. “Are you sure I’m pregnant? I didn’t have any morning sickness. Isn’t that a clear indication that someone is pregnant?”
The doctor shook her head, “no, not every woman will experience morning sickness. Some women don’t experience until a little further in their pregnancy.” She can see the distraught patient before her, handling the news she was not expecting to hear. “I know you were not expecting this news at all. I can’t let you go until I’ve known you’re okay to leave.”
Y/n swallowed again, leaning forward onto her knees and covering her eyes.
“How… how far along am I?” Y/n finally asked after a few minutes of silence.
“We will have to do an ultrasound to get a better idea of how far along you are. Do you remember the last time you had your period?”
Y/n grabbed her phone and checked her application which tracked her period. Her breath hitched as she realized she had not been logging her period for two months, going on to three months.
She had completely overlooked it as she was occupied with her sudden lifestyle changes with Toru and Mateo.
She squeezed her eyes shut and muttered, “can I get an ultrasound done today?”
As she lay on the padded bed waiting for the nurse, Y/n has never felt so alone before.
Her hands were placed against her lower abdomen, she still could not believe that she was pregnant.
She was joyous at the news yet she was terrified.
When the technician came in and performed the ultrasound, she spoke softly, making all Y/n’s worries and doubts fade.
Y/n paid close attention to the technician’s words, and finally, she tapped on the screen. “Here they are,” she said excitedly, pointing to the circle shape on the screen. “There’s your baby, Ms. Y/L/n.”
Tears pooled in her eyes as she covered her mouth. She couldn’t take her eyes off her baby.
The joys and excitement she felt all disappeared when the nurse spoke, “I believe you are roughly eight to nine weeks along, but that’s not a definite answer…”
Y/n did the math in her head if she was more than eight weeks along… there was no doubt that the baby she was carrying was Woojin’s.
Y/n spent almost an hour sitting on the bench and staring blankly at the river.
“What happens now?” she muttered to herself.
She had just found a safe place, a home with the man she had been hopelessly in love with.
Yet now she is pregnant.
With another man’s baby.
Burying her face in her hands, she leans over her knees and groans.
When she returned home, their units were quiet. Dropping off her bag on the couch, she heads to Toru’s room, finding the two of them sleeping soundlessly.
She needed them, that was all she needed.
Carefully she crawled over and laid behind Toru, her arm slipped around his waist as she buried her face against his broad back.
“You’re home.”
Yes, she was home, home to Toru and Mateo. Y/n nodded, tightening her arm around his waist. “I’m tired too.”
Chuckling, he rests his hand over hers, intertwining their fingers together. “Okay, let’s nap together.”
Mateo’s slobber against your cheek brings you back to reality.
“Ahh Mateo,” Y/n giggled, picking up the baby. “Is that a kiss?”
The baby laughed brightly at her question.
“Oh awesome, you both are up,” Toru stood at the doorway of his bedroom wearing an apron. “Just in time, I finished cooking dinner.”
“Dinner already?” Y/n stood up with Mateo on her hip, walking towards Toru. She pressed a kiss to the corner of his lips but Toru was quicker and turned so their lips met. Y/n smiled and pressed another kiss against his lips. “I missed you.”
Toru’s smiled, “I missed you too.”
. .
Toru was no fool, he knew something was bothering Y/n.
Over dinner, he mentioned the unexpected visit from the building management. They had come to assess the damage, and the following week, a construction crew will be handling the repairs.
But it appeared that the conversation had entered one ear and exited the other. She seemed distant during dinner, raising concern for Toru.
He could discern from the graceful movements of her fingers on the piano keys that the piece she played was infused with deep emotions, as if she were pouring her heart and soul into the music notes, expressing everything through her melody.
He sensed that something had occurred during her visit the moment he felt her snuggle against his back. The way she embraced him, as if fearing his disappearance, and the trembling of her hand indicated that something had frightened her or weighted heavily on her mind.
Y/n’s finger hit the last note, ending the piece she played.
Toru could hear her soft exhalation, soft yet heavy.
He approached her from behind and gently gripped her shoulders, squeezing them in a massaging manner. “Are you… okay?”
Y/n nodded before tilting her head back to look up at him, “I love you.”
Toru’s breath hitched, these were the three words he had been eagerly awaiting from her.
He feels his life is completed, having Y/n by his side, and hearing her true feelings for him.
Y/n rose from her seat, perching on the piano bench, her height still a few inches shy of his. Tenderly, she cradled his face and leaned in to share a kiss. “Toru,” she mumbled against his lips, “make love to me… make me scream your name…”
Any other time, he would have loved to make her scream his name but something didn’t feel right. He was about to protest when she begged, “please, Toru… I need you to take my mind off it …”
His arms wrapped underneath her backside and lifted her, carrying her in the opposite direction of his bedroom. “Let’s go to your room, that way you can be as loud as you want.”
Surprisingly, Toru has never been inside Y/n’s room before. He led them blindly to her room as Y/n distracted him with kisses.
“I love you,” she murmured repeatedly.
Chuckling, Toru couldn’t contain his smile, “I know, I love you too.” He set her down on her feet and began undressing her, first with her jeans and then reaching for her shirt. His fingers found the clip to her bra, undoing it and tossing it aside. He dropped to his knees, lips trailing down her belly until they reached the elastic part of her panties. His eyes are at direct eye level with her abdomen and for a split second, he stares at her belly.
Y/n’s breath caught. As she looked down from her perspective, uncertain if her eyes were deceiving her, she noticed a subtle bump.
“Let’s take these off,” Toru whispered, tugging down her panties. “Be a good girl and get on your hands and knees on the edge of the bed.”
Spinning around, Y/n got on her bed that she had not slept on for a while and got into the position. She could hear him taking off his clothes.
Without warning, he slams into her. Y/n had to brace herself as he pounded deep and hard. “Yes!” she moaned loudly. “Harder!”
Toru increased his speed and density, slamming his hips against her and causing the room to echo with only their flesh slapping. A sense of greed and selfishness overwhelmed him, and suddenly, a possessive feeling took hold. Y/n’s subtle indifference earlier was making him anxious. Did something happen? His mind began to conjure up all possible worst-case scenarios.
He had to grasp onto her; if she harbored any doubts about him and his son, he was determined to do whatever it took to sway her thoughts. They needed her.
Toru wrapped his arm around her shoulders, pulling her up and hugging her tight against his body. He continued to rut into her, needing her desperately.
“Love you… I love you so much, Y/n…” he nipped her skin at her shoulder. His teeth mark embedded into her delicate skin.
“Toru! Toru, oh God… I’m close… please…” Y/n turned to look over her shoulder. She pressed her lips to his, “cum inside me…”
He knows he shouldn’t but his body acted on its own accord. Y/n permitting him to cum inside her was all he could think about. His arms wrapped tighter around her as if to keep her forever next to him.
Y/n clenching around his cock and whimpering brought Toru over the edge as he came. His hips tremble and spasm as he ejaculates.
His head drops onto her shoulder as he tries to catch his breath.
In an instant, his ears perked as he heard something that twisted his heart. “Y/n?” He released his hold around her, withdrawing before turning her around to face him. His eyes widen, “what’s wrong?” He shifted in front of her and cupped her face, searching for an answer. “Did – did I hurt you?”
Tears streamed down her cheeks as she gasped, shaking her head. She buried her face in her hands, sobbing uncontrollably.
Toru pulled her into his arms, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry if I hurt you… if I scared you…”
Y/n continued to shake her head, unable to speak a word as she cried quietly.
Feeling completely hopeless and useless, he only continued to hold her, murmuring sweet words to her.
After what felt like an eternity, Y/n eventually eased her turmoil. Her hands lay on his bare chest, sensing the rhythmic beat of his heart beneath her right palm – a sensation she wished to experience for the entirety of her life.
She loves this man. She loves Oikawa Toru.
“You don’t have to tell me what happened,” Toru whispered gently, pressing his lips against her forehead. “But if I am the reason behind those tears, all I ask is that you let me fix it… whatever I did… please – “ his voice choked, “I promise that I will never make you cry again…”
Y/n pulled away from his arms and sat up, at some point, Toru had laid them down on her bed. She looked down at him and reached to brush his hair away, “it is not you, Toru.”
He wished to trust her, yet a part of him still clung to the belief that he was still the reason behind her tears.
“The truth is…” Y/n took a deep breath, squeezing her eyes shut for a brief moment. “I am pregnant.”
Toru sat up abruptly, his voice faltering at her statement.
Her head bowed, and he sensed her shame. “I… I don’t think it’s your baby.”
. . .

best pop duo (CL16 x reader)
valentines day series
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
synopsis: charles and you win an award.
“What were you thinking up there, when you were holding the grammy?” A reporter asks.
“Well, other than ‘holy shit my boyfriend’s eyes are gorgeous’, then probably ‘holy shit this is actually happening’.” You respond, smiling as you do so.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
masterlist
word count: 777
valentines’ day countdown: -4
pairing: charles leclerc x reader
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“And the best pop duo performance goes to…”
Nervousness washes over you. As much as you say you don’t care, winning this would mean the world to you. You tap your fingers on the table anxiously.
Charles’ places his hands over yours, and looks into your eyes. He gives you a reassuring smile as your fingers stop tapping so much. He holds your hand tightly which somehow makes you feel more confident.
“y/n l/n and Charles Leclerc!”
You scream and stand up. Charles stands up, but more calmly. Everyone at your table congratulates you and Charles, giving both of you pats on the back and handshakes. Tears flow out from your eyes as you walk onto stage, with Charles’ hand in yours.
Charles holds the grammy and passes it to you. You wipe your tears off, taking deep breaths before taking the grammy. Both of you stand in front of the mic.
“Holy shit.” You say, looking at the grammy. Charles places his hand over your shoulder, pulling you in.
It gives you a different sense of comfort. He kisses your cheek which makes the place explode into cheers and applause. You blush a little, hiding it with a chuckle.
Your gaze slowly moves from the grammy, to the crowd then finally into Charles’ eyes. They’re gorgeous. It really was something special for you, for him and for your relationship.
----------------------------------------------------------
“What were you thinking up there, when you were holding the grammy?” A reporter asks.
You shift in your seat a little bit, thinking of how to phrase your answer before you pull the mic closer to you.
“Well, other than ‘holy shit my boyfriend’s eyes are gorgeous’, then probably ‘holy shit this is actually happening’.” You respond, smiling as you do so.
Your response earns a slight laugh from the crowd of interviewers.
“What was the process of writing with Charles Leclerc like?” Another asks.
“He should stick to racing.” You joke, laughing a little, “I’m kidding, don’t tell him I said that.”
You straighten up, “Well originally none of us ever thought we’d be doing this. It was pretty out of nowhere.” You reminisce of a few months ago.
You sit on the couch, notebook and pen in hand, scribbling down random words and phrases which come to your head. You click your pen a few times, leaning back onto the couch and looking up into the ceiling.
“Charles!” You shout, still looking into the ceiling
“Yes?” Charles says, poking his head into the living room.
“Come here.” You demand, but politely.
He obeys you and walks over, sitting next to you. He rests his head on your shoulder.
“Hm.” Charles makes an unintelligible noise.
“I just need you to sit there.” You say, still clicking your pen.
“Okay.” He says.
You stare at him for a few seconds, then write down a few words before clicking your pen again.
“Do you want me to play the piano?” He asks softly while you stare intently at your messy handwriting on the notebook.
You look up and your face lights up, “Yes! Yes please.”
He smiles, hops over the backrest of the couch and sits on the piano bench. You follow him. He moves to one side of the bench, patting the other side. You sit down there and he starts playing.
It’s your turn to rest your head on his shoulder as he plays the piano. It gives you some ideas which you do write down but after a while you sit up.
“You should write with me.” You blurt out.
“Write? I don’t really do that a lot, I’m not very good-” He replies, continuing to play the piano.
“Liar. You’re writing with me.” It’s not a request, it’s a demand.
Charles doesn’t protest, instead he continues playing the piano, nodding at your words.
“And here we are.” You chuckle.
“This song took a lot longer than it would usually take you. Is there a reason?” Another interviewer asks
“I left two verses out for Charles to write, and that was on period, I wasn’t changing that no matter what.” You respond.
“Are you glad you kept with that decision?” A follow up question pops up.
“Hell yea. I love what Charles wrote, no matter how long it took him.”
----------------------------------------------------------
Charles: youre really that proud of me You: of course mon cheri Charles: sorry i took so long  i wanted it to be as good as your words You: charles you wrote some amazing lyrics dont be disappointed in yourself Charles: i hope it was good You: if that wasnt obvious enough- Charles: i love you so much You: love you more.💋
his hidden notebook
akaashi keiji x f!reader part two summary: akaashi keiji found that writing poetry was the best way to express his desires word count: 1,573
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Akaashi found himself writing more poems in his free time, away from practice and away from Bokuto. Somehow, his muse was always Y/N. When he saw the fluttering, falling flower petals that dance in the wind, he’d think of her. When he saw the ripples of the Tama river make a kaleidoscope of rainbow shades, he’d think of her. When he saw the luscious greenery bloom from a night of rain, he’d think of her.
Scribbles from spare scraps of paper turned to neatly written notebooks full of dancing words. He kept this side of himself far from the world around him. It was a precious solitude that allowed him to see visions of beauty that was sacred to only him. His notebook of poems was holy and for others to read it would be disastrous.
Y/N knew of Akaashi from her friends, the only boy who could keep up with the boisterous Bokuto from the volleyball team. Whilst being in the same class, she doesn’t remember speaking to him once. She had spoken to Bokuto numerous times as he was the shining sun of their class. But Akaashi was another name on the class register for Y/N.
Presumably, they didn’t share any interests. With Akaashi being on the volleyball team and Y/N being a part of the music club with her own band. The two would always be on two separate sides of the classroom, the school and in the world. It was until one afternoon during band practice, she peered out of the window of the music room on the second floor. She saw Akaashi look up to meet her glares from across the courtyard. Sure, the windows were wide open and anyone and everyone can hear their latest melody. But Akaashi wasn’t focusing on the music, rather he had zeroed in on Y/N.
He was entranced by her power and command with the rest of her band members. He saw the sun shine a dazzling spotlight onto her through the curtains, as if she was on stage performing to millions.
Akaashi knew of Y/N’s talent, they were his muse after all. There were many nights where he would fantasise a time between Y/N and him, where she would lull him to sleep with her soft voice, singing to only him.
Akaashi had found the perfect spot to gaze upon Y/N’s performances, a few paces to the left of the second bush on the far left corner of the courtyard. At exactly 4:35PM on a Wednesday afternoon without fail, Y/N would begin her vocal exercises before her bandmates could join her. She always left the windows open, either for fresh air or to have the whole world stand still to her voice. These Wednesday memories would fuel Akaashi’s mind full of imagery solely of her. He couldn’t wait to find any spare parchment to scribble his ideas down, he was drunk with imagination because of his muse.
Y/N found his presence, unnerving. He didn’t smile nor showed any interest when they locked eyes on each other. But Akaashi did not move away or break contact, rather he remained still.
“What you looking at?” She shouted, leaning out of the window.
Akaashi gave a slight smile, his lips moved to reply but he was so far that Y/N could not understand.
“Huh?" She yelled. "Dude, you’re a bit of a weirdo aren’t you?” Y/N laughed him off, shut the window and walked back to the music room, disappearing from Akaashi’s line of sight.
~
“Yeah, and he was just like there! I swear, he’s spying on me! Everywhere I look he’s there, I’ve never even spoken to the guy, like who is he?” Sat in a circle around her desk, her friends continued to whisper the latest gossip of their weeks. Y/N had brought up her encounter with Akaashi in passing whilst she ate her lunch, but after demands from the others, she caved and spoke her suspicions.
She didn’t hate him per say, rather she was alarmed by the ‘coincidences’ of their encounters, she hadn’t realised it before but he was always within her peripheral vision. At each turn, he’d be there in passing or to the side.
“Ah! Do you think he likes you Y/N?” The girl to the left of Y/N teased, leaning closer into the circle, since the topic of the conversation was still sat in the same classroom as them during their break.
“Don’t go jumping to conclusions.” With a final sip of her cartoned juice, Y/N squashed the cardboard box in her fist. “For all we know, he could be a stalker.”
Poor Akaashi could feel the stares from the group of girls from the back of the classroom. Hunched over on his desk, he crossed out the latest stanza he wrote this morning till the paper ripped.
Was he a stalker? He didn’t mean to come across this way. Maybe he should clear the air with her.
He stood up abruptly, the crowd of students around Y/N flipped their heads around to face him, eyes bulging from their skulls. As if they had seen a ghost. Akaashi awkwardly walked up to them, he felt his stomach sink further and further towards the floor with each step. Before he could get face to face to his muse, Bokuto slammed the door wide open calling for him. Dragging him out the room before he could object. Akaashi was torn between feeling relieved for escaping a possible social suicide in front of his classmates or disappointed in his cowardice.
Once he was far from view, the group of gossiping students collided together again and their whispers got louder and louder till some where squealing and cackling. Y/N kept looking at the now closed door, he looked so sad, she thought. His eyes didn’t seem to belong to a stalker, but there was a lingering shadow of loneliness behind his long eyelashes.
It wasn’t until the late evening Y/N found Akaashi after leaving the gym, he was so focused on scribbling in his little pocketbook that he missed the last two steps out of the gym, causing him to tumble and the scrap pieces of paper tucked in the pages of his pocketbook flew into the sky, like confetti falling delicately across the ground. Whilst the awkward situation, Y/N rushed to help him, picking up a crumpled up sheet of paper, her eyes briefly caught a few words on the page. Before Akaashi could stop her, she had already read the entire poem.
“Woah…this is…good.”
Akaashi ripped the page from her hand, a slight shake in his nimble fingers. “Don’t mock me.” He continued to pick up the rest of the pages and slot them back into his pocket book, digging his fingers into the wood of the cover.
“What’s with the hostility bro?”
“Earlier, you spoke about me as if I wasn’t there. I’m not some stalker, I’m not a creep.” Despite the thousands of beautiful poems he has written for nearly two years now, he couldn’t think of a single word to describe how he actually felt.
“Yeah, that’s totally what a weirdo would say.” Y/N teased. “Sorry, I know you mean no harm. It is strange though, watching me from a far all the time. Would rather you come up and talk to me y’know?” There it was, another dazzling smile. Unlike the past, Akaashi can see it mere inches away from him rather than metres.
“Honestly, Akaashi the way you write its like some of my favourite songs. Poems are basically songs anyways, they’re lyrics waiting for a melody. The rhythm and cadence of each line you wrote there, it was like you were cradling all of your emotions with every word you scribed. Some writers can’t even get their point across, let alone the emotions you pour into yours. You’re incredible.”
Y/N slipped out a piece of paper that was poking out of his pocketbook, and began to read them aloud.
‘We dance like daisies,  bare in the meadows we lay. A little heaven’ ‘You stand tall, bright, fair caressed by the stars above. Grace me with your smile’
“Akaashi, these are beautiful. I’m not mocking you this time. I could even use some of your stuff for the band! I mean it’s not 100% our style but we can work together on it!”
“That won’t be possible. I can’t have you sing these words.”
Y/N tilted her head, eyebrows furrowed and with a slight giggled queried a soft ‘Why?’
With a deep breath, he grabbed the end of her question with an iron grip.
“Because they’re about you. All of them. I write them, whenever I see you sing, when you walk down the halls or when you daze off into space during English class. I catch images of you in my mind from moments where you’re always out of reach, where you bless others with your shining aura. Y/N, you’ve been my muse for all of my work.”
Y/N felt the rush of blood to her cheeks, bright red, she could feel the heat radiating from her face. A slight quivering lip and darting eyes, trying not to focus on Akashi’s stare. A tiny smile creeped its way to her mouth, she couldn’t help but feel so enamoured.
i had an idea about Death Seeking creator! So imagine Kaeya is the one to find our diary.
Kaeya Albreich. Mr. Cool as ice, flirty McFlirts-a-lot, the second character we get automatically (and hardest to C6 HOYO RERUN HIS ASS ALREADY ITS BEEN 4 YEARS <_<)
The guy who already feels immense guilt over how things ended with diluc because of his heritage, finds his entry and it's just...so much hope and potential from the creator only for it to come crashing down in a fit of despair, because he was the FIRST TO KILL US
can you even begin to imagine how much MORE guilt he'd feel because of it?
an example: "I saw kaeya today! he's always been my favorite character, seeing him at the angels share makes this feel all the more real! I still don't know how i came here, but maybe with his help, he and i can persuade the knights to try and understand whats going on?"
*suspiciously dark red hand print stains the end of the page*
"i don't...i don't understand? did i do something wrong? i went up to talk to kaeya, but the moment i said hello, his eye narrowed at me and he attacked me with his sword! i ran, i ran so hard, all the way to starsnatch cliffs! but he kept following me, throwing shards of ice every chance he got. And that look on his face, it was so angry! it was like i had personally offended him, but i've never spoken to him before now! he backed me up to the cliffs edge, and with a single slash of his sword he...
...why did he kill me? what did i do wrong?"
MY WORD/pos
My mans can't catch a break can he? HE WOULD FEEL SO GUILTY
Though I don't think he would go guns blazing (or sword swing I should say-) immediately at the first encounter. I've already written on how I feel Kaeya would be with "imposters" (it's somewhere in the Death Seeking tag).
But with the diary idea added onto this the amount of guilt he would feel when reading the entry about his manipulation, seeing them curse him thinking he was different and actually wanting to help. GOD THAT WOULD TEAR UP HIS INSIDES.
And then seeing the more scribbled entries mentioning the next encounters they had where they freaked him out enough to attack out of fear and such. MAN
The amount of begging for forgiveness he would be doing is just incomprehensible. Like he would actually look like a dying pathetic man begging for his life. Omg my head is swirling over this its so good.
