This cracked me up 😂 lol. The writers were so good for X-Men The Animated Series.
Jubilee: "May I please have a scorecard?"
Then she goes: "So I can tell the good extinct animals from the bad ones?" and Wolverine is all like "Awww Big Kitty!" Lol

So fun fact the X-Men: Evolution iteration of Kitty Pryde -- AKA Shadow Cat -- was inspired by Buffy Summers. Or at least the season one version of her was. Fans of the show thought that the Valley girl version of Kitty was shallow, so the writers water downed her personality to help her grow into a more mature character in later seasons. Kitty's character wasn't the only 90s horror reference in the series: The Evolution version of Wanda Maximov was inspired by Fairuza Bulk's character, Nancy, in the 1996 teen horror film The Craft.
X-Men: Evolution is a great show by the way if you want something that's true the comics while being slightly less political than the original X-Men: The Animated Series. Evolution still heavily parallels the Civil Rights movement -- there are more BIPOC characters, lots of talk of mental health issues, and Rogue even starts out in the foster care system. But this series is -- in my opinion -- less overdramatic and confusing for viewers who are new to the X-Men lore.
Which there is a lot of.

For those who love the X-Men animated series of the 1990s as well as the comic book adaptation series X-Men Adventures.

May this post remind you of the time when X-Men was not woke and did not have nonsense like transgender, critical race theory and nonbinary. These were comics made for the fans, not the woke nuts.
