Lucia is a Christian Martyr, and the Patron Saint of the Blind. the story of her Martyrdom is fairly violent, being a Martyrdom. to cover the end of it, one of the last acts of violence against her was to gouge her eyes out. however, for staying in devout prayer throughout the suffering, God gifted her new eyes of pure light.

Juno, while having some dispute about a fair few specifics, is the Roman goddess of Women and Marriage, as well as protector of women and Patron of childbirth. it also seems juno also became a term used to refer to the Roman concept of guardian angels, specifically those who would be female.

Here’s the thing. In a person I’m dating, I am looking for some key traits. I want them to have more or less my same politics, not man-aligned, funny, and smart.

But, as I’m realizing with my current gf, I also need them to be someone I can trust (trust to help me if I need it, trust to give me advice, trust not to make horrible decisions, etc) and I need them to be someone who has goals in life (get a job, get better at a hobby, get better from being sick, get a degree, get a promotion, etc). I need to feel like they actually care about me as a person outside of them, not just care about what I can do for them. They need to be mature, capable of making difficult decisions and putting the needs of the many above the needs of the few.
