Here's my elaborate reason (aka birth chart analysis) why I think Eddie Diaz's birthday is July 12, 1990 12:40am in El Paso TX lol

(I did this for Buck so I wanted to try for Eddie too)

His age is weird on the show and I know that he's supposed to be the same age as Shannon (1992) bc they were in high school together or something but that doesn't make sense to me! idc lmao

Since I didn't have an age I decided to start broadly and then narrow it down so I looked at Chiron first! That's the wounded healer asteroid and he's currently going through it so I figured looking at what his deepest wound is first made sense. I think he has Chiron in Cancer because that's the family and abandonment wound. People with this were neglected in some way by one or both parents during their childhood and they struggle a lot with feeling unworthy. They may also only pursue relationships with unattainable people or refuse to open up in their relationships and obvi those are going to fail and they stay in that cycle of believing that they're unlovable. They're so scared of trying bc they're so scared of not receiving the nurturing they missed out on in childhood. Does that not sound exactly like him? We know the Diaz parents emotionally neglected him for sure! His dad was the workaholic type and his mom idk she gives me narcissist vibes. And we know that he was taking care of his sisters when he was just a kid which a kid should never be doing!

Now Chiron in Cancer ends July 1991 and I don't think that Chiron in Leo fits him at all so that's why I don't see how his birth year could be 1992 like Shannon.

Then I looked at Chiron through the houses to see if I could figure out what his rising sign would be and I think he's an Aries rising! This gives him a 4H Cancer for his Chiron in Cancer to be in and family is such a major theme in his life I don't see it going in any other house. All aspects of family! Literal family he grew up with, the family he made (Shannon/Chris) and his found family (118) are all a major contribution to his personal development. Chiron 4H people (like Cancer) usually have at least one parent who is physically or emotionally absent which leaves Chiron 4H people very lonely. They're good at avoiding the feelings most of the time but they get triggered when they're around family. Like how Eddie is fine and then he's around his parents and snaps at them! He can't help it bc they know exactly what buttons to push! Bc of this unhealthy dynamic with the family they can struggle to let go of unhealthy relationships. The most obvious example of this is Shannon! Even after she died he couldn't let go and we had the whole situation with Kim! We saw Shannon ask him for a divorce and he acted shocked like they had the perfect relationship or something and I think only Bobby knows that Shannon even asked for the divorce.

During that same Chiron in Cancer period Saturn was in Capricorn putting Saturn in his 10H as an Aries rising. Saturn 10H people are very determined, hard working and self disciplined! Eddie literally did two tours for the army as a medic so that's definitely hard work and self discipline lol then he becomes a firefighter which is the same but he's not getting shot at as he likes to say lol they are also realistic people and we know how Eddie feels about anything that's not grounded in truth. He doesn't believe in signs and curses! As careers Saturn 10H people are likely to work somewhere with a lot of responsibility and long hours and that's what he's doing at the firehouse! I think it's the perfect placement for him lol

Next I think he definitely has to have a 12H moon!! He's the king of suppressing emotions like he could literally teach a masterclass lol But sadly it is more trauma for him! Moon 12H usually felt like they couldn't rely on their parents so they had to take care of themselves early in life and bc no one was teaching them how to process their emotions they just suppress them and are unaware of how they're truly feeling. We see this with Eddie in a lot of different scenarios like the period before his bedroom breakdown, he suppresses his emotions in his relationships too and acts like everything is fine when it's not, and he's doing it again now that Chris is in TX. The thing with that is you can't suppress forever so when he can't hold it in anymore it's usually a whole big thing like taking a bat to the wall! As an Aries rising he would have a Pisces 12H which is a water sign in a water house and with the moon there I think it's perfect representation for him to have the well situation in Eddie begins. He buries his feelings just like an unused well but they are still there and will come out when the well breaks eventually! I'm excited to see how they're going to use the well again in 8x06. Moon 12H also has to work on differentiating needing solitude to process their emotions vs isolating to escape from the world. We can see the isolation tendencies when he wasn't at the 118 and he went to that bar and stopped in the entryway and left. He was feeling a lot of things around that time so I'm sure he didn't want to walk over there and have everyone asking him how he feels about not being with the 118! 12H is also about secrets so it's fitting he keeps his feelings to himself.

Moon 12H means that his moon would be in Pisces as an Aries rising! Pisces moons might have had a mom that was a victim or a martyr and they felt very protective of her like they're the one that has to save her and when they're young that shows up as them not expressing themselves and self sacrificing because they don't want to make things worse for their mom. With the way that Eddie focuses on how his dad is the one that's bad (when he's in Chris's room with Buck and Buck says his family is fucked up and Eddie goes no...well just my dad) but then we see the way his mom treats him and how she talks to him and it's like ummmm sir are you sure it's just your dad???? The whole thing about him trying to drive the truck to take her to the hospital bc his dad wasn't around. The fact that he felt the pressure of needing to take care of his mom in the moment! Yeah his dad wasn't around but his mom should've had a plan or at least told him to call for help you know? Bc of this complicated and confusing relationship pisces moons have with their mom they don't see a problem when they're confused in their other relationships bc to them that's normal but what they really need is consistency! That's the whole conversation he had with Bobby where he's like "you think i'm a commitment phobe?" and Bobby's like you don't have a problem committing to certain things lol but that's bc he's staying in these relationships and he thinks something is wrong with him instead of oh I just don't like this person like that. Bc we can see his relationships with Buck and Bobby that are consistent aren't an issue for him they feel natural but with like Ana and Marisol he's passing out from panic or spiraling! Pisces moon also makes him self sacrificial and the well episode is a big example of this like he volunteered to go down and then cut the rope as they were pulling him up! He scaled the outside of that gas house to get to the kid inside not knowing if he was going to get out! Very brave but it's like damn bro you have a kid at home who already lost his mother maybe just take one second to think about it lol

Another reason why I think he's an Aries rising is bc that gives him a Libra 7H of marriage and long term partnerships and according to 911 Shannon's birthday is October 16 (i'm ignoring the year) which makes her A LIBRA!! His longest romantic relationship and marriage was to a Libra and that's just too perfect! And I know for Buck they recently used Oliver's actual bday for the hospital bracelet so I looked it up and Shannon's actress is born in January lol so they really made that date up for Shannon and it's perfect!

This is the chart I pulled up for him! I think Eddie would be a Cancer sun lol on this day in 1990! I said it before about his family not being nurturing and emotionally available when I was talking about chiron but sun is cancer is very similar! Cancers usually have this goal of creating the nurturing family that they needed when they were younger. We can see that with Eddie with how he's trying so hard to be the dad he needed for Chris. (I'm a Buddie truther and waiting for Eddie's gay arc lmao but putting that aside and going off his canon identity...so far lol) I think that he's been failing at completing the family picture that he's trying to create bc he hasn't fully gone into his feelings toward his mom to realize that he was getting bare minimum from her and that he deserved more even tho her own marriage was shit and that it had nothing to do with him. That's why he has bare minimum standards for what he's been looking for in women aka are they a woman and are they nice to his son. Even with Shannon when she came back he immediately wanted to jump back into the perfect family picture but he should've gotten to know her again and he would've realized it wasn't meant to be and the divorce ask wouldn't have been a shock to him. It also makes him very independent and like "I got my own back" bc he took care of himself and his sisters for his whole childhood and I feel like the fact that we don't see his sisters being a part of his life means that it wasn't reciprocated at any point and that's probably why he left them all.

I also like this chart for him bc sun in Cancer conjunct Chiron in Cancer makes his healing incredibly connected to the expression of his identity. Like the more he heals his inner child the more confident he'll become in who he is as a person or who he wants to be and what he's envisioning for his life. This whole time right now with Chris gone we haven't see too much about what he's actually doing and thinking at home by himself but I hope that he is working through things for himself and figuring out who he is outside of being a caretaker whether it's for his siblings or his son.

This chart gives him Mars in Aries in the 1H which is so fitting for Eddie I-joined-an-underground-fight-club Diaz lmao Mars 1H people are very strong and have quick reflexes. They are also bold! This person can also come off aggressive and to me this makes sense for why so many people though that he would be the one to punch Gerard in S8. I think people were thinking back to him punching that guy in the parking lot which isn't shocking for a mars 1H person but with Gerard it's different because he's at work he's not off the clock doing his own thing. While he's on the clock that's his Virgo 6H and Capricorn 10H being activated so when it comes to authority he's less likely to snap like that just because he doesn't like what he's being asked to do. That's why he was telling Buck just keep your head down don't let him get to you. As much as he hates it he's gonna respect authority. Even during the lawsuit arc we have him saying he understands the chain of command. Like can you have a stronger saturn placement than saturn in capricorn in the 10H??

So going off 1990 being his birth year that would make him 34 in season 8 bc it's halloween right now for episode 5 so obvi after the summer. That puts him in an 11H year which is the house of friendships, community, humanitarianism and aspirations. The goal of the 11H year can be to deepen relationships and expand social networks and long term goals. I think it's interesting that we've been seeing him hang out with both Buck and Tommy. Him inviting them to be on the facetime call for Chris's birthday seemed like him trying to be more open. He's also seen going out into his community with the cheerleader's dad and then going to the hospital for when the cheerleader got discharged and we see his dad come there too and there's a moment where it almost looks like Eddie's disappointed lol aw and I know there's a few conversations that are coming up for him which I'm going to assume are going to deepen those connections. I think the main lesson for him is to realize that yes he has been lonely and has had to have his own back but he can rely on his friends and community for support when he needs it and they can help him if he asks for it and if he lets them.

For season 6 there's no end of year holiday episodes so I'm assuming that he turned 33 after the season ended so I'm gonna say he's 32 during this season! In a 9H year of expansion, growth and spiritual exploration. This is the season with the cursed episode with the bracelet and we know that he doesn't believe in curses and we also have that love is in the air episode where it's focused on Chimney trying to decide if and how he should propose to Maddie and we get Eddie saying how he married Shannon bc they're catholic and she was pregnant. Idk to me it doesn't seem like he's proud of that when he talks about it lol we also know that he's catholic but we don't really see him acting on it so I think it can be inferred that it's something he's not sure about either. He's not very open about a lot of things but I think it was probably something he was thinking about bc the last time he was in a 9H profection year was at 20yrs old which if he's born in 1990 would be in 2010 and I think that's when he found out Shannon was pregnant and married her bc catholic and then Chris is born sometime in 2011 since we don't have months to go off of! It makes sense to me bc that's his first 9H profection year as an adult so at the time his decisions and his beliefs would still be very heavily influenced by his parents' beliefs! This again connects back to his family bc the ruler of his sagittarius 9H is jupiter and that's also conjunct his sun and chiron in the 4H! I don't remember if he joined the military before Shannon got pregnant but I know that in 2013 is when he reenlisted without telling her and he would have been 23 that year in his 12H profection year of endings, loss, hidden enemies, sickness and healing. This is when he got ambushed byyy hidden enemies during his military tour and that's when he had to go home and couldn't finish it. That's also when Shannon left him so that's a pretty big ending/loss! Then two years after that in 2015 he would be 25 in a 2H profection year of money, finances, and values and we know that at the time he was working 3 jobs to support Chris and his parents had an issue with it so obvi finances was a major focus but also values bc he disagreed with them that they were the better fit for Chris! If Chris is born in 2011 that would make him 4ish when Eddie has that conversation with his parents and in season 2 when Eddie introduces Chris for the first time in that earthquake episode he says that Chris is 7years old which is like a 3yr gap between that conversation with his parents and his start at the 118 making him 28 in season 2!

This would then make him 31 in season 5 (at least definitely by the christmas episode) aka 8H year of trauma, secrets, and death and that's the season where we have the Eddie breakdown! His breakdown episode is also called Fear-o-phobia and fear is very 8H! This period is when he goes to therapy and starts digging deep and dealing with some of his PTSD from the military and realizing that all the people he saved had died. As an Aries rising that gives him a Scorpio 8H ruled by mars in aries in his 1H so we can infer that a lot of the trauma he's working through is helping him understand his identity. From what I've said before I already know how saving and taking care of people is such a major part of his identity for him so that was a huge blow to find out that they all died bc it's like well if that's who I am (a soldier that saves lives, a firefighter that saves lives so basically a savior) and I failed then what's my purpose??? At the same time we have him working at dispatch and we get that conversation with Linda (i think that's her name) where she's telling him that he'll know what he's meant to do. While he was working there he was not being himself bc we saw that he wanted Bobby to give him his job back, then we have him choose dispatch bc of Chris not bc of what he wanted, then we have him tell Buck to move on bc he has which we know was a lie so he was living a facade and he figured out he was meant to be at the firehouse in a very mars way of dispatch literally going up in flames!

Still in season 5 it's possibleeee that he started off the season at 30 and then turned 31 in the beginning. I don't know if they had showed Chris being either in or out of school while Ana watched him during that opening emergency but if he was 30 in the beginning that would put him at the end of the 7H year of partnership and this is the libra house as an Aries rising so love and romance and we have that conversation between him and Buck where he opens up about the panic attacks and says my kid loves her or something and Buck is like is that enough? And it just shows him struggling with that aspect of his life because there he was looking to create the perfect family and now he has the "ready made family" and it doesn't feel how he expected it to! And we have him breaking up with her the second he gets home lol (a lot of people have said that this was the beginning of his gay realization and we can see that too bc he starts spiraling soon after that and the 8H rules sexuality so it issss possible that he started connecting the dots for himself and facing fear that he has around that based on his upbringing)

And if he's 30 at the beginning of season 5 that means he's 30 in the end of season 4 as well bc there's no time break between those two seasons and that last episode of season 4 is when we find out about the will! He was thinking about the long term relationships in his life like his son and who he wants taking care of his son and that's Buck! Not sure where I would categorize a will bc yes it's something that's used after death but I feel like a will being used would be 8H but creating the will would fall under contracts and the 7H better maybe lol

Anyway I think I made my case for why Eddie Diaz is a Cancer sun, Pisces moon, Aries rising born in 1990 lol
