Mein A/B/O-Arrowverse-AU-Verse:

Diese Serie von mir rekonstruiert das gesammte Arrowverse in einem Alpha/Beta/Omega-Setting. Sie geht gegen Ende der 6. Staffel von "Arrow", der 4. von "The Flash" sowie der jeweils 3. von "Legends of Tomorrow" und "Supergirl" zunehmend AU. "Batwoman" ist inkludiert, allerdings nur die erste Staffel und da auch schon von Anfang sehr anders als im Canon.

Diese Fics wurden zwischen 2017 und 2019 geschrieben, wobei die eigentliche Hauptstory zwischen 2017 und 2018 entstand. Spätere Einträge spielen zwischen den Ereignissen der vorher geposteten Fics. Prinzipiell geht dieses Verse mit dem Ende der 2017/18er Seasons vollkommen AU, daher werden später eingeführte Ereignisse, Charaktere und Ships nur am Rande benahdelt und eingebaut, und in diesen Fic finden sich nur Dinge die vor „Crisis on Infinite Earths“ passiert sind.

Prinzipiell bin ich der Meinung, dass es heute trotzdem noch gut stand hält, wobei der auffälligste Unterschied zum Canon die Tatsache ist, dass fast alles geschrieben wurde bevor Nia aktive Kräfte für den Kampfeinsatz besaß, weswegen sie im Kampf die gleichen Kräfte wie Dream Girl in den Comics verwendet und nicht ihre Canon-Traum-Energie Strahlen und Peitschen. Und natürlich sind die End-Game Pairings andere.

Inzwischen noch witziger ist was alles in meinem Fics passiert ist, bevor es im Canon ebenfalls passiert ist (wie etwa, das Clois-Baby, dass Lena Lex erschießt, Johns Lungenkrebs Storyline, dass Eddie zurückkommt, der Ausflug in die Speed Force während er großen Krise etc) und wie anders manches bei mir ist was der Canon absolut vergessen hat mir aber doch wichtig erschienen ist.

Chronologisch gesehen beginnen wir mit der Kindheit verschiedenster Charaktere und enden mit einer Szene im Jahr 1992, die alles abschließt. Handlungstechnisch enden wir aber im Jahr 2028.

Im Gegensatz zum Canon kriegen hier alle Serien - „Arrow“, „The Flash“, „Supergirl“, „Legends of Tomorrow“ und irgendwie sogar „Batwoman“ - ein Ende und jeder Charakter bekommt eine mehr oder weniger zu Ende erzählte Geschichte. Obwohl die letzte Fic das Ende von „Legends of Tomorrow“ darstellt, gibt es darin trotzdem Gastauftritte von diversen anderen Charakteren, die auf Erde-1 leben (es gibt keine Erdverchmelzung in meiner Version), und wir lernen etwa das zweite West-Allen-Triaden-Kind kennen, weil ich ja im Gegensatz zu Eric Wallace der Meinung bin, dass eine Franchise auch also solche beendet werden sollte.

Da dieses Universum zur Zeit der 2. Staffel von „Legends of Tomorrow“ und „Supergirl“ begonnen hat, sind die Endgame-Pairings entsprechend. Manche Fans werden hier also nicht glücklich werden, aber immerhin gibt es hier im Gegensatz zum Canon ein Ende für alle. Und auch wenn es manche Charaktere aus späteren Staffeln nicht gibt, gibt es trotzdem Happy Ends für andere. So findet Ava letztlich mit Caitlin ihr Glück, Nora wird als Single glücklich etc.

Charaktere, die im Canon gestorben sind, haben hier überlebt. Charaktere, die tot geblieben sind, sind hier zurück gekommen, Charaktere, die im Canon zurück gekommen sind, blieben hier tot, aber am Ende würde ich sagen, dass dieses Universum für mich selbst die befriedigendere Version des Arrowversums war, als der Canon, alleine eben deswegen weil es hier ein Ende für alle gibt und viele der problemtatischen Dinge Post-Crisis nie passiert sind und daher nie zum Problem wurden.

I try to for long-running fics and for especially long or intense comments, but I’m usually just so nervous ;<; they all warm my heart tho, there is not one that I haven’t read more than once

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I’m typically allergic to straight tragedy, but... I think probably Put your Stampler in a box (D&Dads), since the whole thing is a hypothetical lead-up to a magic teenager going on a rampage. Mind over Matter has a really emotional ending, but I like to think it’s more bittersweet than straight angst. Fourteen, and four thousand, years old swerves into angst, but nobody’s dying or anything so... yeah!

Do you write crossovers? If so what’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Heroes Under Drinking Age is the incomplete MASSIVE thing which is supposed to ultimately crossover Danny Phantom, RC9GN, American Dragon, and Kim Possible. I hit a hard writing wall on the ADJL and KP side and just never got over it :( I still dream of finishing it

Oh I guess there’s also a TMA-D&Dads crossover I’ve put some thought into, where after s5 Jon and Martin land in Faerun to replace The Library, and they get to decompress in this strange world, meet the Likelys, and hear about the eldritch-adjacent beings from other worlds. 

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Nope! (knocks on all the wood) at least not if you’re not counting someone pointing out spelling stuff unsolicited or stuff like that. 

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

when I did Demons not sold separately (D&Dads) they kiss like two times and talk about the prospect of doing more, but it doesn’t go anywhere cause there’s kids nearby. I tagged it as “ace writing allos” just in case, cause boy howdy do I not know what I’m doing in that department ^u^’

I’ve also got a number of AUs for DnDads, some with enough written that I may as well post some of the stuff as one-shots to maybe expand on later. One is a high school au where Hen (14) comes to Earth early, another is an exploration of what it might be like to be a sort of demi-god descendant of a chaos entity with the Doodler Cult coming back (called Puberty, ????, and You). Idk if Done Sons and Dragons counts, cause that’d be a whole comic. I’d love to publish something of at least one of these

And then there’s a half-baked idea for Yet Another Oscar Time Travel AU for RWBY, that would take place starting after v8 and would feature Oscar and Emerald traveling back to the series start (on purpose.)

What are your writing strengths?

I’ve gotten quite a few compliments on my prose and scene pacing! I like writing prose like it’s the thought process of the character I’m following, and I often find myself getting a bit poetic about it. I’m a big fan of parallelisms and using repetition for impact. 

I also put a lot into trying to match the original tone of the content I’m writing fic for, and have gotten quite a few compliments on my character dialogue. I just get their voices in my brain and they don’t leave. On only one occasion have they paid rent. The freeloaders. 

What are your writing weaknesses?

I bite off more than I can chew and never finish 

I worry a lot over making sure emotional beats connect, and that it doesn’t feel like I’m jumping from point A to point C, and I’m afraid that makes me over-explain point B. Like I was rereading HUDA: Alpha after I posted it to ao3, and I have a lot of grace for my high school self, but some parts of that fic could have been smoothed out quite a bit. Parts of Mind over Matter are a bit wordier than they needed to be, too. 

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I feel like it’s best done by people who are fluent in a language. Language isn’t just changing words from A to B, it comes with cultural connotations and altered meanings and layers that are only going to come across perfectly when it comes from someone who knows exactly what they’re talking about. so like if I were ever to use more than a few words or a common phrase in another language in a fic, I’d find someone who actually speaks it to help me out. 

as for how to format it... if the meaning needs to be understood by the reader, you may as just put it in the fic’s main language and alter the formatting (like with itallics) or dialogue tag to denote that they’re speaking another language. If it’s small bits, I don’t super mind footnotes at the bottom or just leaving it untranslated, like a special bit for people who speak the language or are willing to look it up. 

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

warrior cats! me, my best friend, and my older sister all had OCs and were part of RainClan, our OC clan. Their camp was made in the trunk and branches of a big willow tree that made a kind of sheltered dome. I didn’t even know what fanfiction was back then

What’s your favorite fic that you’ve written?

Mind over Matter. Hands down. For one, it’s actually done. That would put it in contest with The Way Out, which is also multi-chapter and complete, but MoM is WAY longer and took SO much more work but was SO worth it. It started as just scratching an itch and then grew into something that helped me prove to myself that I can do a long-term project, including themes and foreshadowing and narrative hootenanny and character arcs and character relationship arcs. the html coding. It was a great time, I’m so proud of it, editing it helped build one of my best friendships, and there is nothing I would trade that experience for.

Probably Inevitable, actually -- what would happen to Dean Winchester if season 6 never happened, from the angstiest perspective possible.

I have written One crossover, total, and it’s an angsty SPN/Arrowverse crossover written, as always, post s5 of Supernatural where Sam never came back from hell.

I do! For some reason, it’s usually vaguely-nonhuman (merpeople or a/b/o are the two I’ve posted so far), but I’ve written plain vanilla smut as well. I don’t do kink though, I’m afraid.

This varies based off of which fandom I’m in (current fandom is all-time favorite lol), so right now that’s Geraskier to the very bone.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Probably the Pern AU, actually. I really like the idea but it’s just. so long and so much and I’m not as invested in it as I was.

What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue, imagery, prose, and character (voice and characterization) -- I’m particularly pride myself on my style of prose, and worldbuilding is one of my massive passions. I very much adore coming up with backstories for people and places and all their funky little traditions while also trying to make it fit with the tone of the world itself... I love worldbuilding.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Plot and symbolism but mostly plot -- I really like really tightly-plotted fics with a lot of interesting twists and foreshadowing, and that is... very hard for me to do. And then my brain just doesn’t seem to want to comprehend symbolism, or having something in a story mean something else that it is, or being representative of something.... I’m working on it, but I’m very literal-minded a lot of the time.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in fic?

I would only do it with a language I spoke, or with a language a close friend spoke so I could ask them for help, and also it’s just never come up in any of my fics before, so.... 

I don’t super care when other people do it, but like. at the very least don’t just google translate and stick it in the fic randomly.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Well, there was an HTTYD fic I wrote when I was nine, but in true honestly the first fandom that I wrote and posted for as being part of the fandom was Supernatural.

Most definitely my lovely, poetic, all-the-feels-I’ve-ever-had-about-selkies-and-the-sea-and-letting-people-go The Fear of Falling Apart, my adored selkiefic.

Fanfiction Project List

So I’m compiling a list of all the fanfics that I have ideas for/ currently working on. I just kind of want to get them written down so that I can focus. They’re most fics for The Flash, which I’m currently the most focused on, but there are some crossovers and like maybe one that’s not. I have lists for other fandoms but they aren’t active, or I currently not active with them but I’ll eventually come back to those. But in the meantime this is what I’m thinking about or working on.

Barry Allen: Agent of Shield

Fandom: The Flash

Status: Ongoing and Published, on Chapter 12 of 21 (As of 1/15/21)

Summary: Barry Allen has always searched for answers about the impossible to solve his mother's murder. Shield investigates the things that the world isn't ready for. On Earth-616, Barry gets recruited out of high school by Shield and hopes to find the answers that he's looking for as an Agent of Shield.

Series: This particular fic is part of a series I’m starting. I have 3 full outlines including this one. The other two currently outlined follow follow the time Barry is in a coma and shield falls, & season 1 of the flash, season 2 of agents of shield, phase 2 of MCU.

Now the Hummel's are helping Barry fight to live with his foster family, meanwhile, his mother's case gets a new development.

He tries to tell Blaine who he really is but learns that only Kurt’s name is on his wrist. Soon after Kurt’s name appears on Barry’s wrist but neither of them have his name. He doesn’t tell them and moves on with his life, until they move to central city looking for their new soulmate and run into ‘Sebastian’.

He knows that he has to fix things but his family and friends are desperate to keep him in this timeline in fear of the worst.

He outed himself to Eddie so he wouldn’t breakup with her but since then he’s been trying to coax Barry into coming out but he won’t. He plans for it to stay that way until a influx of celebrities moving to central city means his friends from Dalton come back into his life.

The reverse flash is desperate to fix things before it alters the timeline and wipes him from existence.

Fandoms You Write For: First started writing for Harry Potter, when I was about 23 (still a hell of a lot of WIPs knocking around, wups) but now I’m concentrating only on Arrowverse stuff and I’ve also got one (1) Doom Patrol fic published, but I wanna do more DP one day. Thinking about doing something for Good Omens, too.

Most Popular One-Shot: ‘Negativity’. Which is a Doom Patrol Cliffarry fic, although you can read it mostly as Gen. Kind of a spur of the moment thing, that one.

Most Popular Multi-Chapter Story: I only have one completed, multi-chapter story, which is ‘Saints and Sinners’. Coldflash Vices and Virtues/Angels and Demons AU. Fun fact: this was my first ever attempt at smut, and it amazes me how well it was received.

Favourite Story You Wrote: Probably ‘Eight for Eight’. A Gen Legends fic that follows Martin Stein as he tries to convince Len to put on a thematic sweater so he doesn’t get cold outside. I love Gen. I actually prefer to Gen to shipping. And I’d always wanted more Stein & Sinnamon Rolls interactions.

Story You Were Most Nervous to Post: I don’t really get nervous posting stuff. A) Cos I’ve never really tackled any controversial topics in my fics, and B) Even if I had written something polarising, it’s up to the reader IMO to read the tags and the summary and work out for themselves if it’s something they’re ok reading about. I have no patience for folk who flame fics and anonymously insult authors in the comments because a fic didn’t do what THEY wanted it to. Like, bitch I didn’t write this for you, I wrote if for myself and all the other people who are interested in it.

But, if I had to pick it would be ‘5 Times Rip Knew that Time Hadn’t Completely Forsaken Him’ because it was my Rarepair Swap challenge fic, and I went with a completely new idea 3 days before the deadline. There was literally no time to think, I just had to get it written, which was kinda daunting. And it was a pairing I’d never written before, TimeCaptain, so there was that. My giftee loved it though, so it all worked out.

How Do You Choose Your Titles: PUNS. Usually. Infact...looks back... yes, they’re pretty much all puns. The odd few are named for the theme of the fic or taken from an in-fic quote, but the majority are puns.

Do You Outline? Sorry, I’ve not heard of her.

In Progress: Ugh, like too many. My docs folder is a pure shitshow. I have the attention span of a lettuce leaf so I can like start a fic usually no problem, but a few pages in I just get bored and start doing something else. If I do come back to something, it’s usually in dribs and drabs. The only way I can get a fic published, is if I power it out in as few sessions as possible. If I take too many times to come back to it, the lower the probability it’ll ever get finished.

Coming Soon/Not Yet Started: The number of headwips I possess is literally a googleplex.

Do You Accept Prompts: Yes, I do Six Sentence Sundays now. It’s actually helping me get back into writing and trying to just get a lot of words out without thinking about it too much. They’re short and sweet and I can do them within an hour or two, which is great for my terrible focus, so it works. Tbh you can send me any type of ask (for the ships I like) and I’ll always try and produce something for it. Right now I have a 100% prompt to ficlet success rate; I’ve not ignored a single one.

Upcoming Story You Are Most Excited to Write: I’ve had a Coldflash fairytale AU knocking around forever and it’s survived the test of time without me getting bored of the idea, so I definitely am looking forward to that. Prepare yourselves for Barry Allen as a weepy princeling and Len, once an Ice Mage, now demoted to the Fairy Godfather of the Central Kingdom - against his will. Cue the wishes.

BatLantern A/B/O story? Maybe? Honestly, I have to many ideas. Somehow Arrowverse. 

Bruce Wayne was the type of Alpha most Omegas dreamed of having as mate. Kind, gentle, a good father, rich... Of course, if you asked his friends Bruce had “Commitment Issues” (Diana), was “depressed. Seriously how do you take care of a child” (Clark), or “The League screwed us up, Brucie” (Sara). Luckily, he didn’t particularly care about having a mate. Sure, he faked it for the press, but he had his son, his weird father figure, the ability to beat up the scum of his city, and a small (but surprisingly good) group of friends that he’d never admit that too. So he wasn’t expecting to meet an Omega he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. 

Hal Jordan spent his childhood learning how to be the perfect Omega and hating everything he was learning. He spent his adult life in the Air Force as a Fighter Pilot, until his squadron was captured by a radical terrorist organization. Quickly signaled out as an Omega and gifted to a political leader as a mate, Hal spent the next two years abused and trapped by his supposed mate. He barely got himself out, only for the trauma he’d been through to make him “unqualified” to be in the military. Hal somehow finds himself in Gotham, collecting disability checks and pretty much stuck in a rut of depression, PTSD, and desperately wanting not to be those things. It was the last time in his life that he expected to meet an Alpha he actually felt safe and happy with. And he certainly didn’t expect that Alpha to be Bruce Wayne.

 Wissenswertes:

+ Diese Fic wurde von der umwerfenden englischen Legends A/B/O-Fic „Handle Alphas with care and cuddles“ (http://archiveofourown.org/works/6430948/chapters/14720536) von yaoigirl22 inspiriert.

+ Was bedeutet A/B/O? Das steht für Alpha/Beta/Omega und ist eine Fanfiction-Trope, die sich vom Tierreich inspirieren lässt und eine Welt postuliert, in der die Menschen neben dem primären Geschlecht auch noch ein sekundäres Geschlecht (nämlich eben Alpha, Beta oder Omega) besitzen. Traditionell funktioniert die Gesellschaft auf Grund von der Existenz dieser sekundären Geschlechter anders als unsere, und es herrscht oft ein gewisser Seximus vor (bezogen auf die sekundären Geschlechter). Autoren nützen dieses Gimmick gerne für Dystopien und/oder gesellschaftliche Kommentare. … Oder dafür um Pornographie zu verfassen. Diese Fic ist mehr ersteres als letzteres. Sorry.

 + Wie funktioniert meine A/B/O-Gesellschaftsform? Aus historischen Gründen heraus werden in der modernen Gesellschaft Alphas und Omegas aber aus unterschiedlichen Gründen nicht besonders hoch angesehen. Betas erhalten bevorzugt Führungspositionen und haben im Grunde genommen das Sagen in der Gesellschaft, da Alphas als zu aggressiv und territorial gelten und Omegas als schwach und flatterhaft bzw. instabil – jeweils wegen ihrem Hormonhaushalt. Im 21. Jahrhundert gilt diese Vorstellung zwar als überholt und veraltet, und es gibt viele Gleichberechtigungsbewegungen, aber viele hängen trotzdem noch den alten Vorurteilen an. Auch deswegen, weil es stimmt, dass Betas eine beruhigende und stabilisierende Wirkung auf Alphas und Omegas haben (wegen den Pheromonen, die sie absondern). In dieser Fic haben alle drei sekundären Geschlechter einen Geruchssinn, der sie dazu bringt zu riechen, was für Pheromone die Angehörigen der anderen Geschlechter gerade aussenden, sprich sie erkennen so die Stimmung der anderen und Hinweise auf Hitze bzw. Brunft.

Omegas erleben sogenannten Hitzen (grob gesagt sie werden rollig bzw. läufig, sucht euch aus welches Tier ihr bevorzugt) und sondern in dieser Phase ihres Lebens Pheromone ab, die bei Alphas wiederum Brunftverhalten auslösen (ja, jetzt haben wir die Tierart gewechselt, sorry) – auf jeden Fall sind dann beide Seiten geil aufeinander und beschließen sich zu paaren und tun das dann auch über einen längeren Zeitraum hinweg – im Falle eines männlichen Alphas verhakt sich dieser meistens im Omega, und sie hängen dann längere Zeit zusammen (und jetzt sind wir wieder bei den Hunden gelandet) bis der Penis abschwillt und entfernt werden kann. Betas hingegen werden vom Geruch der Hitze abgestoßen damit sie nicht zwischen einen brünftigen Alpha und dem von ihm begehrten Omega geraten können, was mit unter schlecht für sie ausgehen könnte.

 + Sorry, keine Mpreg in meinen Fics. Männliche Omegas können nicht schwanger werden.

 + Polygamie gilt als normal, wenn auch überholt. Die ideale Beziehungsform wäre eine Triaden-Beziehung zwischen einem Alpha, einem Beta und einem Omega. Aber im 21. Jahrhundert kommen diese nur noch selten vor.

 + Homosexualität gilt als normal, was sekundäre Geschlechter angeht, und bei den meisten auch, was primäre Geschlechter angeht.

 + Es gibt sogenannte Gefährten, eine geistige wie körperliche Bindung zwischen Alpha und Omega, die einst als heilig galt, heutzutage aber als altmodisch angesehen wird und durch die normale zwei Personen-Ehe ersetzt wurde.

 + Bei den außeriridschen Völkern haben die Alphas das Sagen.

 + Rudelstrukturen sind nicht mehr häufig zu finden, entstehen aber automatisch wenn größere Gruppen aller drei Geschlechter viel Zeit miteinander verbringen.

 +Sogenannte Prime-Alphas, zu denen sich Eobard zählt, wurden in unserer Zeit noch nicht identifiziert, gelten in der Zukunft und auf anderen Planeten aber als Untergeschlecht vom Alpha und meinen eine intelligentere und stärkere Art von Alpha.

 +Intersex-Geschlechter sind möglich und oft die Folge von künstlich herbeigeführten schiefgegangen Geschlechtsumwandlungen. Alpha-Beta etwas bedeutet, dass die Person mehr Alpha als Beta Merkmale besitzt, während Beta-Alphas mehr Beta- als Alpha-Merkmale aufweisen.

„Nennt uns Legenden IV: Die Legende vom Rudel“ (Zwischen Staffel 2 und 3 sowie Staffel 3)

„Crisis on Earth-X“ (gleichnamiges Crossover)

Meine One-Shot-Verses:

Im Rahmen meiner „Infinite Earths Oneshots und Shorts-Sammlung“ habe ich 2019 neben canonkompatiblen One-Shots und denen, die in meinen bereits etablierten Verses spielen, auch drei One-Shots verfasst und veröffentlicht, die eindeutig nicht im Canon-Verse spielen.

„Hush“ ist eine „Batwoman“-Fic, dich ich zu Episode 1x03 „Down Down Down“, verfasst habe. Darin geht es wie der Titel schon sagt um Tommy Elliot, dessen Arroverse-Version ja in dieser Episode von „Batwoman“ eingeführt wurde. Basierend auf der Comicversion des Charakters bin ich näher auf seine Backstory eingegangen. Da ich damals nicht hatte ahnen können, dass die Macher den Charakter zusammen mit allen anderen aus Staffel 1 inklusive Kate und Jacob, fallen lassen würden als wäre er eine heiße Kartoffel, habe ich die Fic in das sogannte „Hush“-Verse gesetzt. Ich glaube aber nicht, dass wir jemals im Canon Informationen über Tommy erhalten haben, die dem Inhalt dieser Fic direkt widersprechen, trotzdem spielt sie in einem Paralle-Universum, in dem die Storylines um Tommy, Kate und Bruce Sinn machen. Übrigens ist „Hush“ meine einzige Fanfiction mit einem (nicht-bösen) Bruce bzw. Batman, und ich bin ganz stolz darauf wie er geworden ist.

„Zu mehrt“ ist eine „The Flash“-Fic und das Westhallen College-AU nach dem niemand jemals gefragt hat. Hier gibt es keine Superkräfte, Vigilanten, oder Schurken, sondern nur Eddie, Barry, und Iris am College, die einander unter … interessanten Umständen kennenlernen und ihr Problem, das sich daraufhin entwickelt, dem Titel entsprechend lösen. Hier kommt übrigens Eddies College-Mitbewohner Thomas vor, der auch Teil von Eddie-Xs Backstory in meinem A/B/O-Verse war.

„Reign of the Supermen“ ist eine „Supergirl“-Fic, die nicht auf dem gleichnamigen Comic basiert, sondern ein AU ist, in dem Zor-El, Kara, und Kal-El zusammen mit Astra, Non, Selena und den anderen, aber ohne Alura, auf Argo waren, als dieses gerettet wurde. Es handelt sich um eine Dark-Fic ohne Happy End (der Titel verweist eigentlich auf das Ende), die aus Zor-Els Sicht den (scheinbaren) Untergang der letzten Kryptonier im Angesichts von Seuchen, Energieknappheit, und Unfruchtbarkeit schildert. Ironischerweise habe ich diese Fic vor der Pandemie und lange vor der Impfung geschrieben, aber wem gewisse Themen bekannt vorkommen … nun all dieser Verschwörungstheorien kommen ja nicht aus dem Nichts, es gab sie vorher schon, sie wurden lediglich auf Covid angepasst. Auf jeden Fall ist „Reign of the Supermen“ eine sehr unangenehme Fic, die ich bisher nie direkt fortgesetzt habe, obwohl eine Fortstetzung vielleicht interessant wäre. Wer darin nach einer Botschaft sucht … nun, am ehsten wohl, dass Unrecht immer nur weiteres Unrecht hervorbringt, schätze ich. Und Kryptonier in jedem Universum vom Pech verfolgt sind.

Für AO3 habe ich  meine Arrowverse-Fics umstrukturiert und so sind diese drei One-Shots dort der „Arrowverse: One-Shots und Shorts“-Sammlung zu finden:

Das Paradox-Verse:

Genau genommen gibt es ja eigentlich kein Paradox-Verse, und das nicht nur weil es sich nur um eine Fic handelt, sondern weil in „Paradox“ sehr viele verschiedene Zeitlinien vorkommen und wir am Ende gar nicht wissen in welcher davon (oder ob in einer ganz anderen) Barry nun seine neue Realität beginnt. Dadurch wäre es vielleicht richtiger vom Paradox-Multiverse zu sprechen, aber na ja, ich nenne es das Paradox-Verse und es ist zu finden in der Fanfiction „Paradox“, in der ich (erneut) das Jahr 2020 im Arrowverse verarbeitet habe. Natürlich geht es in dieser Fic offensichtlicherweise nicht wirklich um die Entwicklungen im Arrowverse, obwohl die dort auch ein Thema sind, es geht um das RL-Jahr 2020. Es geht darum mit einer Realität, die einen so unwirklich erscheint, und die man so nicht haben möchte wie sie ist, leben zu lernen. Es geht darum zu akzeptieren, dass man im echten Leben leben muss und nicht einfach in einer Phantasiewelt, die man sich herbei schummeln kann. Und vor allem geht es darum zu lernen loszulassen.

Eigentlich sollte „Paradox“ im Canon-Universum starten, vielleicht endet die Fic dort, aber da ich sie als Feiertags-Fic zum 2020/21 Jahreswechsel geschrieben habe, also mitten in der Covid Pause, musste ich mir den Ausgangspunkt bzw. das Ende der Mirrorverse-Arcs und den Grund für das Ende von „Supergirl“ zurecht zimmern. Insofern war alles sehr anders als im Canon. Der augenfälligste Fehler betrifft die Zeitlinie an sich, da ich ja nicht ahnen konnte, dass die die Arrowverse-Zeitlinie einfach umdatieren würden, sprich der Mirroverse-Arc spielt hier noch wann er ursprünglich in der 6. Staffel gespielt hat (also im ersten Halbjahr 2020), und die sechste Staffel von „Supergirl“ hat da theoretisch ebenfalls schon teilweise stattgefunden und Kate ist seit Monaten verschwunden ohne, dass es eine neue Batwoman gibt und das alles trifft sich zu Weihnachten 2020. Andere Unterschiede sind die Schicksale von Nash und Ralph und vor allem die Tatsache, dass ich den Produzenten ihre Lügen geglaubt habe und Kara hier tatsächlich in einer Beziehung mit William ist (ich meine, wie hätte ich ahnen sollen, dass sie eine Staffel Slow Burn Romanze machen, die dann zu nichts führt?). Insofern ist das Ursprungsuniversum dieser Fic dann doch sehr anders als es der Canon zu diesem Zeitpunkt hätte sein sollen. Ach ja, und kurz vor dem Start von „Superman & Lois“ geschrieben, spielt die Serie in dieser Fic natürlich ebenfalls auf Earth Prime und der Ausgangspunkt für den Piloten (Martha Kents Schicksl) wird hier geteased.

Neben „Worlds Beyond Elseworlds“ ist das meine zweite Arrowverse-Fic in der „Black Lightning“ tatsächlich Teil der Handlung ist – die ganze Familie Pierce mit Ausnahme von Gambi und Grace (die aber brav erwähnt werden) darf auftreten.

„Paradox“ ist eine dieser Arrowverse-Fics von mir, in der ich die Arrowverse-Version eines Comic-Charakters als Feind verwendet habe. Vermutlich sollte ich darauf hinweisen, dass ich durch ein Pagey-Video von der Existenz dieses speziellen Feindes erfahren hatte und daraufhin zu dieser Fic inspiriert wurde (ich glaube es gab damals Gerüchte oder Spekulationen, dass dieser Charakter in der 7. Staffel von „The Flash“ vorkommen könnte). Neben dem titelgebenden Schurken, kommen übrigens auch Harley Quinn in einer sehr düsteren Variante und eine alternative Version von Red Death, der kaum etwas mit der Comic-Vorlage gemeinsam hat, in dieser Fic vor. Aber es gibt auch ein Wiedersehen mit bekannten Arrowverse-Feinden wie Savitar, Reign und Lachesis und Astropos.

Konzeptionell habe ich mich von Earth Prime immer mehr zu „besseren Realitäten“ (mit einmal Abbiegen in zwei eindeutig weniger gute Realitäten zwischendurch) vorgehandelt. Dabei habe ich auch OCs aus meinen anderen Arrowverse-Fics wiederverwendet (Lura und Kathy gibt es auch in meinen A/B/O-Verse) und in der letzten „perfekten“ Realität gibt es dann sozusagen den Status Quo, den ich mir für das Arrowverse zum damaligen Zeitpunkt gewünscht hätte.

Im Übrigen muss man anmerken, dass ich mir viel mehr Gedanken über das Earth Prime-Problem gemacht habe als die Autoren der meisten Serien, da ich lange erklärt habe warum Barrys Veränderungen in der Vergangenheit von Earth Prime möglich sind und zuvor erwähnt habe, dass es gefährlich sein könnte in die Vergangenheit einer Zeitlinie, die es bis vor kurzem noch gar nicht gab, herumzupfuschen.

Während das Ende von „Black Lightning“ witzigerweise ziemlich dem entspricht, was ich hier vorhergesagt habe, ist das eine von zwei meiner Fics, die das Ende von „Supergirl“ so erklären wie es Sinn gemacht hätte (die zweite ist „Up Up and Away“) - als Reflektion des RLs. Wie auch immer Barry und ich schließen hier Frieden mit der Tatsache, dass gewisse Helden weiterziehen, Spectre Oliver spielt eine große Rolle in der Handlung, ich habe noch einmal betont wie wichtig nicht nur Batwoman als Symbol sondern eben vor allem auch Kate Kane als die Person, die sie ist, als Batwoman ist, und ich habe den „Was ist ein Brexit?“-Witz eingebaut (da es Rip und John offenbar in der vorherigen Zeitlinie gelungen ist ihn rückgängig zu machen, oder Barry ihn durch sein Herumpfuschen verhindert hat).

Alles in allem war „Paradox“ eine Fic, die Spaß gemacht hat, auch wenn das Ende besonder heutzutage im Rückblick eher bitter anstelle von süß ist, denn wer will die Canon-Realität, wenn er stattdessen in nur einer von den diversen anderen, die hier vorgekommen sind, haben kann?

Nun vielleicht ist die Realität, in die Barry zurückkehrt, in Wahrheit ja doch eine vollkommen andere gewesen. Vielleicht tröstet uns das.

Und das ist die offizielle Bestätigung dafür, dass diese Staffel der letzte Vorgang für die letzte Arrowverse-Serie sein wird (sofern sie überhaupt gedreht werden kann und der nicht endend wollende Streik nicht verhindert, dass sie überhaupt gemacht wird).

Das eigentliche Thema dieses Blogs ist damit also bald Geschichte. (Keine Ahnung ob ich in Zukunft noch weitere Fics schreiben werde, es juckt mich in den Fingern etwas für Staffel 9 von "The Flash" zu machen und ich hab jetzt endlich die Möglichkeit "Constantine" anzuschauen, aber abgesehen von weiteren A/B/O-Spin-Offs sehe ich jetzt keine große Zukunft für diesen Blog nach Teil 3 vom HotD-AU und dieser einen Fic, die möglicherweise noch kommen wird. Mal sehen).

Das Kompass-Verse

Mein “Kompass”-Verse ist wieder so ein High Concept AU von mir, in dem jeder Mensch einen Kompass auf seinem Arm trägt, der in seine Haut tatowiert zu sein scheint und auf dem im Laufe seines Lebens vier Namen (einer statt jeder Himmelsrichtung) auftauchen können, sobald sich die entsprechenden Personen begegnen. Keiner weiß was das zu bedeuten hat, aber alle sind sich einig, dass es etwas zu bedeuten hat und wie sie mit dieser Tatsache umgehen ist das Thema dieses Verses.

Hauptsächlich im Jahr 2019 geschrieben (mit ein wenig Überhang ins frühe Jahr 2020 mit dem Ende von “Crisis of Infinite Earths”) war das Konzept des Kompass-Verse etwas das ich schon vor längerer Zeit für die verschiedensten Fandoms entwickelt hatte, aber noch nie zuvor als Fanfiction umgesetzt hatte. Erst als ich “Kompass” verfasst habe, kam ich dazu, was auch erklärt warum die meisten Charaktere die Namen auf ihren Kompass aus frühen Arrowverse-Staffeln basierend bekommen haben, obwohl die Fic selbst erst 2019 geschrieben wurde. Insofern spielt “Kompass” auch vor allem während “Arrow” Staffel 3 und 4, “The Flash” Staffel 1 und 2 und den ersten beiden Staffeln von “Legends of Tomorrow”. Das Herzstück ist wieder einmal ein “Doomworld”-AU und danach begeben wir uns nur ein wenig in die frühe dritte Staffel von “Legends”.

Um sich von meiner A/B/O-Verse Doomworld-Fic zu unterscheiden, ist der Twist in “Kompass” absichtlich ein anderer, auch wenn das Set Up ähnlich wie in meiner anderen Fic ist (Mick will durch den Speer für andere alles besser machen), hier ist es Leonard Snart, der die Rebellion gegen den Rest der Legion of Doom los tritt, als Erbe von Mick sozusagen.

Obwohl ich immer sehr stolz auf “Kompass” war, hat diese Fic leider nie besonders großen Anklang gefunden, vermutlich auch weil “Legends of Tomorrow” im deutschsprachigen Raum immer sehr stiefmütterlich behandelt wurde. Vielleicht war es aber auch der “fehlende Teil” des Inhalts, der Leser abgeschreckt hat.

Diesen fehlenden Teil habe ich später nachgeholt und zwar in meiner “The Flash-Shorts”-Sammlung und in meiner “Legends of Tomorrowä-Shorts”-Sammlung. In beiden wurde das Kompass-Verse von mir aber auch fortgesetzt, mit einem neuen Handlungsstrang für die fünfte Staffel von “The Flash” rund um Eobard Thawne und Nora West-Allen und der Kompass-Verse-Version der 4. Staffel von “Legends of Tomorrow”, mit einem Happy End für Ray und Mick, einer Amaya, Nate und Zari-Dreiecksbeziehung und einem eigenen Handlungsstrang rund um John Constantine und seinen “Kompass”-Gefährten.

Erneut hat “Legends of Tomorrow” in diesem Verse anders als in der Realität ein Ende bekommen. Es ist etwas anders als das im A/B/O-Verse geworden, etwas melancholischer und tragischer, aber auch wohl passender für den allgemeinen Geschmack, da Sara hier ihr Glück mit Ava findet. Die wichtigeren Endgame Pairings sind aber Atomwave, Constangreen und Naterad, was ironisch ist, aber auch gewollt - am Ende bekommen ihn weder Amaya noch Zari, sondern Behrad. Da ich das Ende von “Legends” vor Ausstrahlungsbeginn der fünften Staffel geschrieben habe, heißt er so wie Zari Tomaz mit Nachnamen, Zari selbst ist ein Zeitfragment und noch mit an Bord (es gibt keine neue Schwester, erst ganz am Schluss) und Astras Schicksal ist ein anderes.

Und wo wir gerade beim Thema Zeifragment sind, im Kompass-Verse wurde Nora West-Allen von Eobard gerettet und in die Negative Speed-Force gezerrt als sich die Zeitlinie verändert hat. So existiert sie in Staffel 6 von “The Flash” als Zeitfragment, genau wie Eobard. Der letzte Eintrag in das Kompass-Verse (obwohl die letzte “Legends”-Fic chronologisch später spielt) war Alternativ-Version von “Crisis on Infinite Earths” im Kompass-Verse, in der Eobard und Nora zu den Paragons an den Vanishing Point gelangen (und ja, es gibt ein Eobard/Lex Sass-Off). Die Auflösung ist anders als im Canon und am Ende wird mehr oder weniger alles gut, auch wenn es natürlich Opfer gegeben hat.
