I was Kuki Shinobu at Fanexpo SF this past weekend! ⚡💜

This was my first time putting so much effort into a cosplay. I bought it premade, but I quickly realized I'd need to do A Lot more than just making it fit nicely. I remade all the rope with yarn, sewed my socks onto stockings so they'd stay up, cut and painted foam for the armor, and even styled the wig with glue! 😱

This Jinshi/Maomao pair was so sweet, they were handing out hairpins and I got their last ones!!! I'm literally swooning bc Jinshi gave it to me like woahhh... just like in the show O(-(

YA contemporary + a little sff

follows a boy who suddenly finds himself able to teleport when he walks through doors, often against his will

and has to figure that out while dealing with a new crush, the end of high school and the queer club, and figuring out whether he definitely wants to train to be an ASL interpreter like his father

Looking back, I didn't make as many bears this year as I was intending to, but the ones I did create I’m really proud of.

I also completely remade the original Eight Bear’s NotD costume so that it was the same as the improved version I’d given to Paul (I think he must be on his third shirt, coat and waistcoat by now, plus his second lot of boots and gaiters):

I do intend at some point to make a Fifth Doctor bear and possibly a Sixie if I can get my head round trying to recreate that coat in miniature…
