Combatants in Metagaming's Wizard could conjure illusions or summon physical creatures to fight for them. The Summon Myrmidon spell produced an armed human with no apparent free will. In this tale young Melar devises a series of experiments to summon warriors and attempt to awaken their true personalities and determine their origin. Unfortunately for the entire wizard guild the process works, and one of the summoned men escapes with the knowledge of who has been randomly abducting so many of his people and returning them with fatal wounds.

why does so much of mel discourse on this site centre on to what measure she did or did not manipulate jayce like that's the extent of her complexity and grey morality, as if she has not directly and indirectly been contributing to the opression of zaun not because she's prejudiced or hates them but simply because she profits from it, like i am so sorry my queen that they don't get you like i get you

okok it's so late and i'm tired and this is no hate to jegulus or any shippers but personally REGULUS IS AROACE. LET THIS BOY BE HAPPY ON HIS OWN AND NOT WANT A RELATIONSHIP AT ALL LIKE.

If the first season was about Jayce getting pulled every which way by his allegiances to those closest to him, then next season will be about Viktor doubling down on his isolation and refusing to listen to outside opinions. Viktor's already on the path for that. Viktor would have never gotten as far as he did in a society that's as hostile to Zaunites and the disabled as Piltover is if he didn't refuse to listen to the opinion of others. It's largely been in his best interest to disregard avoidable rules and social conventions because they otherwise barred him from not just advancing in society but participating in it in general.

But now this defense mechanism will only serve to further push him from others as he crosses morelines. Sure Viktor will be able to do some good with the hexcore and even gain followers, but a cult isn't a reliable source of criticism, it's an echo chamber to reinforce your beliefs. Viktor's true resolution will be allowing someone, maybe more than one, to tell him to pull back and he actually listens.

Tldr: Mr. "If you want to change the world, don't ask for permission", needs to learn life is a team project and nothings wrong with a little peer review.

The Rain Road as Gaeilge

I am by no means a translator, but I do speak Irish fluently and have played trad for years (although I've lapsed due to college and work), so when the fireside chat mentioned having the Rain Road in Irish I had to throw my own spin on it. I may also record a version of it in Irish but we'll see. Shoutout to @franavu for also inspiring me with their Dutch translation!

Maybe it was presumptuous of Regulus to assume they were sticking it, some people might even say he was being naive, but it was the only thing that kept him carrying on despite the state of current affairs.

Until Sirius shattered all hopes of that coming to fruition and ran away in the middle of the night.

There was no note. No warning. Sirius hadn’t even had the decency to ask him. Sirius knew - of course he knew - he had to have known what would happen to Regulus if he left but he hadn’t cared.

The plan, the one made under the dark by two boys so so long ago - all up in smoke.

Because of fucking James Potter.

Regulus knows it’s irrational to hate Potter. Logically, he knows. But if he couldn’t hold onto the rage all he would have left is sadness -

That his brother and him became so estranged that Sirius couldn’t look beyond the mask he helped him create for survival. That his brother thought he was like them. That his brother thought he didn’t want to leave - or maybe he just didn’t care enough.

And that - that would break Regulus. It wasn’t as thought he was the epitome of stability but that would definitely be the tipping point into the well known Black madness.

So Regulus held onto the rage. Anger at his brother for leaving.Anger at Potter for taking him away. Anger at his parents for putting him in this situation. And most importantly - he was angry with himself for being a fucking coward.

They were supposed to leave together when Regulus turned of age - instead all Regulus got when he was 17 was a dark mark he never wanted and no one to share his thoughts with.
