Starlo's personality
I'm still confused about this man's 'true self,' gotta admit. How much of 'himself' IS there in 'North Star'?
What we know about real Star:
He's a nerd/geek obsessed with westerns; that's where he got the inspiration to build WE
He looks different than with the hat on and used to wear braces
Was shy in his teenage years around Ceroba (no idea how he acted normally) + couldn't confess to her
His mom (after killing him) says how he's never been the one to follow rules. I wonder what she meant by that. Rules, like, you're supposed to hate humans like everyone else or rules, like, no sneaking off to practice your shooting and lasso skills? Both?
Ed describes the 'old him' as a fearless leader and as a monster who could 'make his own fun in the little things' (you mean he used to be more humble but at the same time remained an ambitious risk-taker?)
Is insecure about where he comes from and what he looks like
We don't have enough info to know what he was like as a kid. I'm curious if absolutely everything about North Star is the opposite of Starlo (I don't think it is); both are kind and protective. Still, I can't help but wonder if the Starlo after Showdown, in both routes, is the real him or not. Maybe 50% yes and 50% no
Just from the end credits, the only thing I got about him was that he's kind and friendly and optimistic and charming (North Star is this way too, but more exaggerated). Nothing new
So maybe Starlo IS North Star, but more modest (aka not as exaggerated)
I'm curious about your thoughts guys.
Also I forgot to mention how he wanted to plan a PARTY for Kanako, in neutral says that the PARTY in the saloon was great (and the letter he sent was pretty charming), wants to accompany Ceroba in the Steamworks, is open about how he feels (immediately openly confronts Ceroba and calls her out; he's assertive), not afraid to get physical if it means protecting Clover & Martlet, can be pretty loud (like when he spotted Clover after sparing him in neutral, he was like "DEPUTY!!!"
I'm left wondering if all this is the real him or not. I think it is. Just maybe toned down a bit :) It's the only explanation for the fact he's been doing all this for a really long time and never showing signs of wanting to stop/that it exhausted him

I just read a fic where Jason goes back in time to before Bruce was born, and he kinda just stays there, so it’s both Alfred and Jason raising Bruce and the rest of the Batfamily, but I just think it would be so much funnier/cooler if Jason went back in time and he just becomes Alfred. Like, it’s a closed loop and Alfred was Jason and Jason was Alfred. Idk, I just think it was a fun concept.
The fic is We Realized We’re Both to Blame But What Could We Do? By appalyneinstitute1

Fun Things Blades Characters Can Do Based on Their TTRPG Classes
Not restricting myself to the skills listed on the sheets, because that's boring. Also, assuming they're DnD characters, because that's sure what it looks like.
Aerin
Perfectly match anyone's accent after talking to them for 1 minute ('Master of Intrigue' under Rogue: Mastermind)
Insult people into being less competent ('Cutting Words' under Bard: College of Lore)
Make an experimental elixir every morning that will have one of six random effects on the person who drinks it (which could be flight!) ('Experimental Elixir' under Artificer: Alchemist)
Cherta
Telepathically spy using her spellbook ('Manifest Mind' under Wizard: Order of Scribes)
Make boots that you can use to teleport up to 15 feet away ('Boots of the Winding Path' under Artificer)
Imtura
Literally can't be scared while raging (basically getting really in the zone in combat) ('Mindless Rage' from Barbarian: Path of the Berserker)
Kade
Be at least middling when persuading someone at all times ('Silver Tongue' under Bard: Class of Eloquence)
Make himself magically understood by anyone, even if they don't speak the same language ('Universal Speech' under Bard: College of Eloquence)
Mal
Attack faster because he's charming ('Rakish Audacity' under Rogue: Swashbuckler)
Make others doubt themselves with sass ('Unsettling Words' under Bard: Class of Eloquence)
Nia
Cause magical damage by punching people ('Hand of Harm' under Monk: Way of Mercy)
While in Shadow form, summon a screaming shadow wolf ('Hound of Ill Omen' under Sorcerer: Shadow Magic)
Tyril
Magically create a quill that doesn't need ink ('Wizardly Quill' under Wizard: Order of Scribes)
Create an area where it's really hard to lie to him ('Zone of Truth' under Paladin: Oath of Crown)
Willow
Summon a bear, hawk, or unicorn (!) spirit to support the group in combat ('Spirit Totem' under Druid: Circle of Shepherd)

thinking about my wyoming headcanon again
he was born and raised in the u s of a, but heard that the code names were u.s. states and thought it would be hilarious to pretend to be british. he committed to the bit so hard that most of the freelancers believed him.
it helped that most of THEM were american born and raised— meaning they would probably hear an australian and ask if they’re from england or vice versa, while also fully believing british solely means someone from england (im american too, i know us, that’s most of us)— so they hear him talk about tea and crumpets and throw in some slang he learned from doctor who and sherlock, go “yeah sounds about right” and never question him.
he even HAD HIS NAME LEGALLY CHANGED TO ‘SOUND MORE BRITISH’ AND WAS SO CLOSE TO COMMITTING TO A MONOCLE BUT SETTLED FOR THE PRINGLES ‘STACHE
then after the brain damage with gary, reggie ALSO fully believed the bit, so for all intents and purposes his reality is that he IS from england. after reconvening with wyoming and realizing this, gary absolutely has a ‘well fuck’ moment but yknow what can he do about it now lol guess that’s just life for ya just gotta keep goin and not think about it woo oh hey alpha’s back let the fuckery commence
meme of hands shaking. gary and omalley, ‘ah shit fucking around in somebody’s brain had consequences’

any other scottish/irish folk feeling a bit conflicted about Stone in Ramshackle?
just watched it last night, and ik he doesn't have many lines but i was really unsure on his accent, like in some points it sounds scottish, other times irish, and sometimes he sounds vaguely american too?
if stone is meant to be irish or scottish too i also feel uncomfortable with him being like the only character to smoke or drink the entire time, that feels very stereotypical
genuinely, as a scot, i was excited when i thought i recognised a scottish accent, not something yiu see often, but again as a scot i cant tell if he's scottish or not
really confusing and frustrating
