Ive reread you poison apple au and im in love i just can help but imagine the fun raven and dex have with their kids
And apple who marrys her to continue the story i feel like shes stubborn enough to raise a child on lies of stolen happily ever afters
I cry this got buried in the asks ( I have over 140 TTuTT I'm trying to get through them)
Raven and Dex have so much fun with their kiddos! They love them so much and the family is almost always on Fairytales Scrollazine (Peoples Magazine XD) as they became somewhat local Spellebrities after everything that happened.
They have so many aunts and uncles who adore them and Raven's parents are a constant when the kids are young. Diana tried to play the step-sister card once to visit but that was shut down so fast.
With Apple, yeah, she did find someone who would marry her, but it was purely for her looks, and for her, it was purely to try and continue the storyline. There was no love lost between the two, and it's a known secret that the two have lovers here and there. But both do love their children. A boy and a girl. Darius Charmont Knight (yes, Apple named her son after Daring. She lost him once. Not again.) and Winter White Knight (after her lost birthright. Her husband argued their daughter would be made fun of but Apple insisted and overall went behind his back to name the children.) She tries to raise them to believe in their birthrights as a Prince Charming and Snow White but her husband does all he can to make sure it doesn't stick.
Divorce is not a thing really in Ever After. It's been done, but to do so, it's basically like putting a mark on you and your family. It's seen as shameful. But Apple's husband it basically at the end of his rope when he kids turn 6 and 5, respectively and all but demands a divorce from the Supreme Classic Council who grant it prettily easily once the evidence is presented and once they find out who his wife is.
Apple somehow got supervised visits.

while I’m talking about Apple White discourse I think I’m going to elaborate on what I said in my previous post and say that (in the most respectful way possible) I also think that Apple antis are equally shit at arguing their point sometimes.
For example, I partly agree if someone says that Apple’s redemption arch didn’t land for them, or that you think it should have gone much further, especially the latter point (although I would argue that’s down to inherent limitations of the medium). And there’s probably some valid points that I passionately disagree with as well. That’s the beauty of agreeing to disagree.
but all to often (and to be fair maybe it’s just poorly worded) I find myself reading posts that don’t seem to understand what a redemption arch is, or more annoyingly that a character being slow to come around and going back and forth is the sign of one being well written.

EAH x TWISTED WONDERLAND AU by @sayuricorner
“Everyone keeps telling me how my story is supposed to go. Now I made my own story that would guide me to a new path. A new beginning. One that my new friends have help guide me and had shown me what a true Snow White is supposed to be. One with a Heart of gold.”
To be honest, Apple White is one of my favorite characters from Ever After High but what put me off was how Snow White came off as. She seems to egotistical and too self-centered. Also, one thing that would make Apple kinda spoiled is the way others have told her of her destiny which can play into a part of her personality.
In the EAH x TWISTED WONDERLAND Au by sayuricorner, Apple White has an overbolt of negative emotions. As Duchess had commented to Apple about how Raven could be the Snow White instead of her in which had made Apple spiral out of control.
One thing that stood out to me was how Apple White had said that her mother, the headmaster Grimm, and everyone else told her it was HER destiny.
It’s a really good au and I highly recommend reading their head cannons of the au.
To be honest, I actually want a story in the perspective of Apple White’s how her mental state had worn down to the point of a mental breakdown and her path towards recovery including managing to forge back the friendship with the EAH students that had transferred to NRC. Including a small friendship with the NRC boys as well, it’s a slow progress but I will love an Apple White salt turn redemption.

Frédéric Cossard Feel Good Jura 2020 Savagnin
A medium bodied white - rich, zesty and full of power. Made with 100% savagnin grapes from the south of jura. Natural, organic and manually harvested.
It is vinified in the Burgundian style but crucially swaps out oak to spend 1 year on lees in qvevris, large concrete eggs. Federic made this decision to maximise mineral content. It results in a white Burgundy that is unusually juicy and pure.
Tumblr media
Jura A small wine region in Eastern france, sandwiched between Burgundy in the west and Switzerland in the east. Characterised by a landscape of wooded hillsides and twisting Jura mountains. The grapes in this bottle are from Southern Jura and they are vinified in Saint Romain, Burgundy hence why it is a Vin de France.
Tasting notes: salted nuts, green apple, white peach, chalk
Pairing: charcuterie, cheese, white meat

Quinoa salad with hummus and cabbage (aka. did somebody say plant protein)
Ingredients for 4 portions:
1 dl white quinoa
2 dl black quinoa
1 dl green lentils
6 dl water
1 red pointed cabbage (or regular, i doubt it matters)
2 avocados
4 tsp olive oil
2 tsp apple vinegar
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp honey
Hummus with sun-dried tomatoes:
240g boiled chickpeas (can be canned)
1 dl olive oil
3-4 cloves of garlic
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon tahini
3-4 sun-dried tomatoes
1 teaspoon ground cumin
0,5 teaspoons cayenne pepper
0,5 teaspoons ground cilantro
Cold water
Salt & pepper
Preparation:
Boil quinoa as per the instructions on the packet. I boiled my quinoa and lentils in the same pot and it turned out fine.
Chop your pointed cabbage into appropriate bite sizes. In a glass or bowl, mix olive oil, apple vinegar, mustard and honey into an even consistency vignarette. Taste test with salt and pepper, and then mix it well with your cabbage.
Cut avocado into slices.
Hummus:
Blend all ingredients together. I use one of those food chopping things you have to pull like a lawnmower, which... does the job, lol.
Add cold water until your hummus is the desired consistency. I've heard that adding this water in the form of crushed ice actually makes the hummus more creamy, but I haven't tried that out yet. Cold water works just fine.
Taste test with ground cumin, salt and freshly ground black pepper.
For serving, arrange the salad in layers in your bowls, starting with hummus at the bottom, then quinoa and lentils, then avocado slices, and then topping off with a healthy layer of cabbage.
Enjoy!

How do the narrators + Brooke react to the whole Evil White and Poison Apple fiasco?
Oooo it's been a while since I've gotten a Poison Apple question!
Brooke's parents are shocked at the events, to some extent the narrators know what will happen so they can narrate, as they have their own book they read from but this was something they never expected. Her parents were so in shock at what happened that Brooke had to take over narrating.
Brooke was shocked and yet not. She had seen how Apple was acting and unlike her parents, Brooke actually sees the characters as people that are living these things out and her parents are just so used to seeing them as characters in a story, nothing more.
Brooke doesn't get to narrate often so she watches everything so she knows and sees a lot more than her parents and she understands more because of it. She knew what Apple was doing was wrong and she hoped she wouldn't get away with it just because she was the " destined hero" of her story. Turns out Apple didn't get away with it and Brooke is actually happy about it. She thinks this is a new opportunity for a new story and it excited her.
Her parents on the other hand don't like it. Nothing like this has happened before and they don't know what to do. They know these stories forwards and back, this is uncharted territory.

Apple Walnut Cake
Chef’s Note: Reminds me of carrot cake, but isn’t.
Original recipe link
Makes: 9x13-inch, about 24 pieces
Ingredients
Cake
1 2/3 cup white sugar
2 large eggs
1/2 cup canola oil
2 tsp vanilla extract (4 tsp imitation)
2 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
4 apples, unpeeled, chopped (~4 cup)
1 cup chopped walnuts
Frosting & topping
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 to 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
(opt.) 1/2 cup chopped walnut, for topping
Instructions
0. Chop up your apples.
I cut into 12 slices, top to bottom, then each slices into 4 or 5 pieces. Makes for a lot of apple
0. Preheat oven to 350°F
1. In a large mixing bowl, beat sugar and eggs together.
I used a hand whisk, and that worked fine; you don’t need electric beaters
2. Add oil and vanilla. Mix well.
3. Add in the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg to the mixture. Mix well.
4. Stir in apples and walnuts.
You do have enough batter to coat everything. Try to make sure there are no large spots of pure dough, but that most dough is stuck to apple.
5. Pour into a greased 13x9-inch baking dish
6. Bake at 350°F until a toothpick comes out clean, 50-75 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
Baking time will depend on the moisture in your apples. My apples, gala, needed the 75 minutes
7. For frosting, beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla in a bowl. Gradually add powdered sugar until the frosting has reached desired sweetness / spreading consistency.
8. Frost cooled cake. If desired, top with additional chopped walnuts
