Macaque will only ever be free when Wukong has found peace and moves on. This goes on for a long time, yet when Macaque feels the tether start to loosen, he panics and realizes- he doesn't want Wukong to let him go.

Summary: Based on Taken once more, but with the twist that instead of taking MK to the human world, Nezha took MK with him to the celestial Realm. From there he raised MK himself as his apprentice. Hiding him with a glamor and instilling a misguided loyalty to the Jade Emperor. The Jade Emperor is insistent one of the twins must still die, but agrees to keep MK around, hoping to find a chance to kill the other twin instead and keep the loyal MK as his own bodyguard.

Summary: Another Taken Au. XiaoXiao and MK are born, but instead of MK being taken Xiaoxiao is instead. He would be Xiaohua in this one. Xiaohua, who is abandoned at an orphanage, winds up being taken in by the Spider Queen when he shows promise as a thief. Xiaohua is iving the life of crime, while in return MK (Xiaotian) is being raised to follow in his Father's footsteps as a hero. The two eventually meet and clash.

Summary: Based on Taken once more. Isn't quite like the normal LMK lore. When MK and his twin brother Xiaohua were babies, their parents separated, each taking one of the infants with them. MK went with Wukong, and Xiaohua with Macaque. When the two get older, they manage to miraculously meet at a Summer Camp and discover the truth. Now these two working on a plan to reunite their parents.

-The Day the World Eclipsed (the Original Plot)

-most may know this, but I changed the plot of the Story within the first few chapters. When Wukong left to head to the City, intent on finding a new home for his son… he was originally intended to go through with that.

I have Many MANY chapters of this unfolding- of Wukong actually going through with abandoning MK.

It was farrrr different than what the story has changed to now. And I love the direction the story is now going, but I had a lot of angst planned for the original :)

One day I might even post what originally was intended to happen.

in the heaven emperors au, if they did end up splitting up (I'd imagine given Wukong's rank it'd be more separation the full on legal divorce), would Wukong ever reach a point in is grief that he'd say "fuck it" and hand over his position to Azure and go back home to be with Macaque? would Macaque take him back? if so, would it be immediantly or would he make Wukong grovel and make him re-court him in order to "earn back his love?

Since asks like this are why I’m now officially gonna include a divorce arc with this au-

I adore this question bc of how much it is something I’d ask myself to be sure it’s a direction I want.

Wukong does NOT want a divorce and would do anything and everything to prevent an officially legal and cultural divorce from occurring. He doesn’t want either to be recognized as divorced in eyes of law nor demon customs.

Which is where Macaque’s stubbornness and intellect would hit him because he’d settle for a separation then, and Wukong can’t stop him from leaving him in the heavenly realm to be separated knowing Wukong has to be there to keep things running as emperor.

I do think he’d eventually reach a point where he truly can’t stand being without Macaque after some time since I DO give him reasons why he’s been so against giving up the throne that aren’t just his pride or any of that- yes part of it is he doesn’t want all the fighting he did for this to be for nothing- but he’s also very aware the brotherhood would likely blame Macaque if he stepped down and be angry with him for ‘manipulating’ Wukong into giving up such a powerful position. He at this point has started to notice how unwelcome he is to the brotherhood and he doesn’t want Macaque blamed for something Wukong would absolutely selfishly choose if it means keeping Macaque in his life-

Another reason is he’s not willing to trust Azure anymore now that he’s noticed more things- he’s noticed how Azure’s kindness is off to him (think like in villainess manwhas when the rival acts sweet and innocent but you can tell she’s pretending to be that to manipulate her image) and with a separation from Macaque he’s now very aware how Azure is closing in trying to see if Wukong is willing to have another spouse now- so he absolutely DOES NOT trust the lion anymore and even kinda starting to resent Azure since this was his plan and all.

Skipping past the mounts of drama imma sprinkle in when I have the motivation- it would take a long time of Macaque testing, toying, and trying to have Wukong prove himself again and that he’d never pull something like that again as well as opening up to him more than he’s ever done after he’s reflected some of his own faults in their relationship. I don’t plan to have Mac completely innocent, where’s the fun in that?

Putting these two asks from @writingamongther0ses + @weaverpop (who asked Part 1) together for convenience:

It's not everyday that you learn that you're an asexually-reproducing eldritch stone monkey spirit and that you're in-fact Pregnant.

First person he tells immediately is Mei.

Not seeking advice, but comfort.

Mei has a moment of shock (her bestie is preggers), awe (she's gonna be an auntie!), and horror (it's a almost-always-fatal type of pregnancy). She hasn't any experience with this kind of dilemma. She does give MK a coarse glare when he (bashfully) explains how it likely happened - having a vacation holed away in a mountain cave isn't a bright idea when you're a stone monkey. She does give uber support for whatever MK decides to do with the pregnancy. Lots of crying hugs are shared.

However it's still S4...

When the rest of the gang are still busy being trained by Subodhi, MK is left alone for a bit to contemplate his situation - it's the first time he's had some time alone without Lao Tzu bothering him for medical testing.

Macaque appears asking whats up.

MK just starts bawling.

Macaque: "Whoa! Didn't think you were the crying type, kiddo." MK: "Monkey King is gone. The Jade Emperor is dead. I might be some sort of chaos entity. And I'm incubating an egg that will kill me. I'M ALLOWED TO CRY!" Macaque, shocked: "... can you repeat the last part again?"

Ofc much like Wukong, Macaque would 100% offer to get MK some "No-More-Baby Spring Water" from the Kingdom of Women - as he himself is aware of the extreme risks a stone egg carries. But the suggestion just makes MK cry even harder.

Cus MK *wants* this baby. It feels like something he has a true choice in. He didn't have an ideal start to life, and he wants to give his "Egg" a chance he didn't get to have, no matter the bad timing or risk.

Macaque insists MK reconsiders after the Brotherhood are dealt with.

Once they reunite with Wukong in the Memory Scroll, Wukong just *knows* something is off with MK. Gold-Vision clicks on and Wukong makes a startled gasp!

Wukong: "EGG."

Macaque, nods: "Egg."

Wukong: "Since when?"

MK: "Uh... a couple of weeks. Remember when I went on that break? I sorta... accidentally semi-buried myself in clay and paint for a week or something."

Wukong, pauses to think: "Idiot cub!"

(*Wukong pulls MK into a soft hug, and monkey-chirps that he's going to be ok. Worried tears stream down both of their faces*)

Once they get back to the crew and begin devising a plan to take down the Brotherhood, MK discovers somehting unfortunate from Nezha.

Nezha: "By the way Monkie Kid, I wish you good health." MK: "Huh??" Nezha, not reading the room: "Your condition. Lao Tzu was very excitable, even with the invasion from the Brotherhood putting a damper on things. No matter your choice, I wish you swift recovery." MK: "How many people know?!" Nezha: "Word spreads fast, practically all of the Celestial Realm knows at present. Gold Star of Venus was the first informed obviously. And of course Lao Tzu's assistant was made aware of your condition - how she's related to Jin and Yin I'll never know. And many of us in the barracks learned it from Lao Tzu himself talking in the halls." MK: "wut" (⊙_⊙) Pigsy, angry-worried: "...what condition are we talking about here!?"

MK gives an abridged version of whats going on with him to the gang, nearly giving dear Dadsy and Baba Tang heart attacks in the process.

Pigsy, fuming: "It's was that Red Prince punk wasn't it!?" MK: "Dadsy please calm down! I made it myself!"

Wukong and Macaque continue to offer the Spring Water so that MK doesn't have to go through with the process, but the monkey boy has made his decision on the matter clear. He wants his Egg. And if it comes down to him needing to weigh the price of immortality to survive and raise his kid, then he'll take it.

Now back to saving the world...

Azure Lion is ultimately defeated not just by the fury of a pregnant Shi Baomu, but by the worried protective power of multiple gods and immortals coming to MK's defence. Particularly with a giant Jade-Toothed Rake (Pigsy), the power of the Golden Cicada (Tang), the flames of a dragon and a god (Mei and Nezha), and the backup of the Queen Mother of the West herself - who pretty much rips Azure Lion in half with her bare claws in retribution for her felled mate.

Flower Fruit Mountain is still split in two. But it bursts back into life shortly thereafter.

The cosmos is still fractured, but the Queen Mother has taken her husband's burden in place of Nezha (he insisted but the Queen Mother dismissed him since he "was but a mere child").

The beach party occurs and the gang is still coming to terms with MK's condition.

Especially the Demon Bull Family. And especially if Red Son managed to dodge the Scroll in this timeline.

DBK: "When am I to expect my grandcalf?" Red Son: "FATHER!" MK: *shrugs noncommittally while eating an ice cream*

Macaque was impersonating Red Boy all those years ago, resulting in him getting forced into becoming Guayin's disciple.

The palace of Lion Camel Ridge was usually quiet at night. At this time, the trio of kings would be off in their rooms, doing their own things until sleep or morning came. It was a routine that had been set for over five hundred years.

Tonight, however, was different.

Another array arranged itself around the screaming babe, dulling down the flames but not the heat. Azure Lion was the only one brave enough to stand close to Demon Bull Prince Red Son, studying the half-blood. He tsked. "He barely resembles him. Are you sure the rumors of Jade aren't true?"

"I did the tests, just to be sure," Yellowtusk said, huddling away from the baby with scrolls. Ever since the child had arrived to the mountain, his screams and cries hadn't died down, and neither had the Samadhi fir. "He is the son of Bull and Princess Iron Fan."

Wings flapping alerted the two kings to the arrival of the third.

"Macaque has been captured," Peng reported, their wings shrinking down. "They got to the ceremony site and realized their mistake there. He is now in the custody of Bodhisattva Guanyin, supposedly to atone."

"There is little we can do for him right now," Azure huffed. A thought sparked to life. "Has he told where the child is?"

"No," Peng rolled their eyes and stepped closer to Red Boy, who's wails had died down. Now he just looked grumpy. "One good thing about that simian, he can keep his mouth shut. Although that might just be because Wukong was there."

A flick of his tail was Azure's only reaction to the name long cast in evil at Camel Ridge. "We have our weapon then," he said, gesturing to Yellowtusk. The ball of arrays lowered with Red Boy, sinking into Azure's hands, allowing him and the grumpy toddler to eye each other. "Since Bull has become soft, we will raise this child into his full potential and then claim victory for ourselves."

At the news, Red Boy sneezed out a mixture of blood and flame.

Okay so the way we have it with Oblivion is that there's a mechanical component to what 'kind' of person is affected by it, the basic version works on demons, Porty made a secondary track that effects Xiaotian and works on humans as well, and Xiaotian post-bad end ends up making one bespoke to Xiaojiao to work on dragons

Since this whole thing sort of subverts the timeline after Season 3 (Xiaotian in his distrust of Azure just fucking Oblivion juices him right off the bat and both figures out his plan and 'cancels' it in his head, completely throwing Xiangliu's plan out the window lmao) then Xiaotian doesn't really have any personal experience with Li Jing (and me and Robynx are sort of also making our au a liiiitttlllleeee bit more myth accurate in relation to a few things, and Li Jing and Nezha are one of them, there is sincere hostility between them actually lmao) and most of what he knows from him is what he gleaned from nezha on that day and his own knowledge of the myths.

which don't paint a very flattering picture as to Nezha's home life.

Xiaotian does essentially use Nezha as the guniea pig for the 'for celestials' track (essentially combining all the tracks including the one he uses on SWK and (allegedly) Macaque into one wall of franken-sound) and monitored his reactions in real time so he did basically make the celestial track bespoke to Nezha's brain.

essentially his plan had been to use Nezha to make sure the celestials don't try to run interference and 'stop the good thats been done' since Xiaotian's at this point gotten EXTREMELY black and white and maybe a little more like Azure than he wants to pretend to be and has slowly grown to resent the celestial court in a lot of very real ways, and he doesn't want to chance them deciding that he was bad actually and undoing all the 'good' he's done.

So the plan was to use Nezha out the gate to keep the celestial host off of their back, and then should their good buddy the lotus prince return... then they can help him.

The plan with nezha is ironically a play on the whole 'is nezha an adult or a child' debate that this fandom sparked that everyone else seems to scratch their heads over because we thought that Xiaotian would be bothered over the cosmic unfairness of Nezha not really getting a childhood, and much like the plan had been with liu 'er, to sort of... force him into a childish mindset, ideally erase his memories of his actual family and just sort of... in their eyes 'let him have the childhood that was stolen from him'

I don't know what he would do if he got his mitts on Li Jing but i DOUBT it would be anything pleasant. If he got his hands on either of Nezha's brothers there might be a sort of merciful 'well you were ALL victims of him really' and give them a chance to 'repent and start over' but i think most likely outcome for Li Jing if it presumably wouldn't blow up in his face would be to either FORCE him into the idealized parent situation (but with some sort of twisted undercurrent of the true Li Jing being AWARE but unable to do anything beyond the 'correct' behaviors and words) or just... do the same thing he would do with spider queen in the stories where the rebellion gets busted, just... fully Get Out him and make him a 'free use helper'

Cinder, Emerald, Mercury, and Junior were rather shocked at the interruption. Jaune pushed his way through the doors to Junior's office, without any regard to what was transpiring inside the room. he stopped just inside the doorway, The door automatically closed behind him as his red tinted azure eyes scanned the interior. Taking not of everyone inside.

Jaune: Where is it?

Junior: Where is what?

Jaune: The Demon's Heart. Where is it?

Cinder's narrowed. not only at the unwanted interruption, but also the insult of being ignored. Drawing upon the Maiden's powers she prepared to give a show of force. A subtle glance to Emerald and Mercury had them tense in preparation of teaching this nobody a lesson in manners.

Junior: I... I have no idea what you are talking about. I've never heard of such... such an object.

Cinder: It doesn't matter. You're interfering with business not of your concern. I suggest...

Jaune: You suggest?

Cinder: You walk away.

Jaune scoffed and slowly raised his right hand, his fingers in position to perform a single snap. His eyes could see the tension in the raven haired woman's pawns. A sure sign of aggression and an indicator of a potential attack.

Jaune: No. No I don't think I will.

Cinder: Then we'll make...

Jaune snapped his fingers. In an instant a pillar of flame engulfed Emerald. Her aura flashed and shattered instantly, and before she could even utter a scream she was gone. a charred smoking corpse laying crumpled on the carpeted floor of Junior's office.

Jaune: Step aside, of do you still feel like testing you pathetic abilities against me?

Everyone in the room was rooted in utter shock. Jaune's attack had basically been instantly fatal to a pivotal member of Cinder's team and plans. Not hesitating or wasting any further time Jaune strode forward, and air of complete superiority surrounding him. Cinder and Mercury reflexively backed away as Jaune neared Junior's desk.

Jaune: Where is it?

Junior: I don't know what you're talking about. Seriously I've never heard of this Demon Heart!

Jaune could tell the man before him was utterly afraid, and by that association was telling the truth.

Jaune: It's a ruby, of the deepest crimson color, the size of my fist. Does that change your narrative?

Junior swallowed nervously. That single display of cruel power making him well aware that he wouldn't survive a further display, nor would his men if he activated his silent alarm.

Junior: That I've heard about. The Heart of Vale it is called. A massive ruby on display in the Vale Museum of Cultural and Natural History.

Jaune: Then I shall take my leave.

Jaune turned and sauntered past the still shaken forms of Mercury and Cinder. Stopping when he was side by side with Cinder.

Jaune: Know your place girl. You are nothing compared to me... absolutely nothing.

With that Jaune moved off, yanking open the doors to Junior's office and vanishing into the darkened hallway beyond.

This is one of two requests that I got for Jack, and they will be related... and I already have plans to continue it after all the 12-A-Palooza requests are done. So in addition to the Spectrum Soulmate Marcus Pike AU, the Jack Daniels Time Travel AU is now a thing. (And I’m not mad about it at all.) 💚

Jack Daniels was the best Agent within the Statesman organization. 

Skilled, suave, brave, reliable, dedicated. Jack was everything the agency stood for, everything they valued. Because of that, he’d risen quickly in the ranks, becoming a Senior Agent after only eight years of service. 

But there was one thing that set him apart from the rest of the Agents even more than those attributes - his willingness to partake in tests of new, experimental technology that could help the agency gain advantages. He had been the first to step forward when researchers brought Alpha-Gel to trial, fully aware and accepting of the risks involved. 

Nothin’ much to lose if it goes sideways. 

So when Champ and Ginger came to him with the proposition of a new trial, Jack had all but signed on before knowing a single detail. 

“It’s not as dangerous as the Alpha-Gel testing was,” Ginger explained. “But it’s … delicate.” 

“Well, darlin’, I can be as delicate as a daisy when the occasion calls for it. What’s the mission?” 

He didn’t expect time travel.

They called it The Rewind, since for now Statesman only had the ability to move in one direction along the continuum - backwards, and only up to three years - and Ginger had been right to deem it delicate. Time was a fragile thing, and handling it too harshly left fingerprints where they didn’t belong. Those fingerprints could cause the present to cave in on itself and the future cease to exist. 

Jack silently hoped that they never gained the ability to travel beyond the three year mark. He knew that if it became possible to go back to the moment that his wife was killed, no amount of moral obligation would keep him from trying to save her. 

Future be fuckin’ damned. 

The Rewind hadn’t been engineered so Agents could change things that had already happened, though. It was created strictly so the agency could gather intelligence. It allowed a person to go back to a specific time and place, to witness that moment again and again from different perspectives, drop eaves on a conversation until it had been memorized, hunt for clues in the near past that might give them an edge in the present so they could put a stop to things before they happened. 

But it was still in the early stages. There was still a battery of experiments to run. That was where Jack came in. 

“We’ll be sending you back three years, to the night of July 19th. There’s a place on the outskirts of town called the Junction. Or -” Ginger arched one eyebrow. “There was. It closed down six months ago. But before it did? A lot of shady characters used to meet there. We think it’s where Dark Shadow did most of its recruiting.” 

Jack’s top lip curled at the mention of the crime organization. Dark Shadow had been a weapon smuggling ring that operated by overwhelming local law enforcement with a slew of small crimes so that they could pull off their larger ones while the authorities were distracted. They sold guns to drug dealers, who in turn put pistols in the hands of every sales soldier on the streets. They were the reason that countless hearts had been broken by the words “wrong place, wrong time” just as Jack’s had. 

Taking them down had undoubtedly been his proudest moment as a Statesman. 

Ginger explained that since they already knew how things shook out for Dark Shadow, testing the Rewind on their hideout meant that the stakes were low. “For now we just want you to go, spend a few hours there, act as though you’re just a patron getting a drink. You can talk to people as long as you don’t tell them anything that hasn’t happened for them yet. We’ll pull you back remotely when it's time, and then you’ll report on anything you can remember.” 

Jack nodded. “Seems simple enough.” 

“We’ll repeat this process until we’re confident that you’ve absorbed every detail of that night - what people were wearing, the texture of the bar top, all of it. That gives us an idea of how big a window we’ll have when we send Agents in for live missions. How long they’ll need in a space that size with the same number of variables and-” 

“Ginger.” Champ cleared his throat as a gentle interruption. “Think he gets the idea. Don’t ya, Whiskey?” 

“Sure. Like any old night on the town. ‘Cept it’s the same night every night until I can paint it pretty as a picture for you. That about it?” 

Ginger gave a sheepish nod, aware that she was prone to over explanation at times. “Yup. That’s about it. For now.”

Jack stopped outside the Junction, staring at the flickering neon letters on the sign that hung in the window. Like always, the C was dead. This time, though, he noticed that it was due to a crack in the lightbox that looked distinctly like a bullet hole. 

Well look at that. A new piece of the picture already. 

With that he went inside. He wasted no time lingering near the dart boards or sauntering through the billiards tables as he’d done his first few July 19ths. He’d already gained what he could from the people gathered around them on previous trips. This time his focus was directly on the bar. Or more directly on the woman behind it. 

You.

It was his twelfth time pulling up a stool and ordering a drink from you. Nine of those times he’d asked you your name and he’d given you his. You’d spent nearly half your shift ignoring other customers to talk with him on at least seven occasions. Five times he’d caught you looking at him in the bar mirror, a guilty - but not ashamed - grin curving your cheeks. There were four times when you had asked him if he wanted to get coffee at the diner on ninth street, three when he had said yes, and two when you’d invited him back to your place after that. The last time he walked into the Junction he ended up in your bed, with you panting his name into his ear. 

He remembered every detail of every interaction with you.

But for you it was the first time you’d seen him. You didn’t know his name or his drink. Didn’t know that he made you laugh or that his hands had already mapped your body. “What’ll you have, Cowboy?” 

He gave you the same smile he had the last few times - which meant that you couldn’t tell it was just a little sad. “Whiskey’n water, darlin’.” 

Always the same. 

He couldn’t help the twinge in his chest as you turned to make his drink. Jack wasn’t expecting the mission to be time travel. And he sure as shit wasn’t expecting to fall for a woman from a different timeline. But here he was. And there you were. 

The Alpha-Gel trials had been painful. Knowing that you would forget him every time was torture.

Still, when you asked him out for coffee, he grinned, standing from his stool. “You ever been to the 9th Street Diner, darlin’?”

For the OC heraldry game, Azure 1, Gold 2, and Black 3 for Ella!

Azure 1: Does your OC have a guiding principle by which they live their life--such as duty, self restraint or vengeance? Has this ever been tested by circumstance or challenged by another person?

I'd say that Ella's guiding principals are love & loyalty. Primarily to her family, but that kind of intense love can be pointed in the direction of a friend. A lot of what she does can be tied back into whoever she's showing this kind of devotion to & what she's decided to tie her love & loyalty onto.

This does get tested in some major ways throughout her arc, & I wouldn't say she ever wavers, but the tether these principles are tied to gets shifted around when her mother is murdered, when she confronts her dad later, when she finds out about Laenamon, when her favorite cousins respectively act like a freak & a half, with the whole Evyn Waters situation, when the stuff at Driftmark happens. And like, these are just the things I have happened or have been planned so far (no one ever ask me what the middle of my outlines look like). TBH, a lot of Ella's arc is finding where to place her big emotions & how to deal with them.

Or 2: Does your OC have any wishes or desires of which they are ashamed or otherwise wish to keep secret? Or do they loudly proclaim their every wish to those around them?

Everyone is gonna know what she wants whether they want to or not. I think she'd be ashamed to admit she used to want her parents to fix their marriage & for them all to be a big, happy family, but at the time that she was experiencing that want she was definitely gonna let people know about it. She was maybe quieter about that desire when she was a teenager, but, like, if you asked you were definitely gonna know about it/she wasn't gonna lie or hide it.

In terms of things she wants/desires/wishes for now there's not really a whole lot at this particular moment in the fic. She wants justice/vengeance for her mom, but her family wants that too. Otherwise? She's kind of getting everything she wants. She has a hunky simp boy toy malewife, she has a son she loves to bits, she gets to keep living at Runestone, she has her dragon, she has her brothers (even if one is being fostered atm), she's surrounded by friends--she wishes that the friend breakup with Laena hadn't happened, but that's more a "she shouldn't have done what she did" thing & she's not really ready to move on to fix that bond yet.

Sable 3: Is your OC comfortable in expressing their grief? Such as by crying at funerals or memorial events? Or do they always keep their emotions intensely private? Or perhaps not express them at all?

Babygirl has such a complicated relationship with grief & its expression therein.

She's good at expressing it in the moment, but she kind of also never got over that little kid thing where all your emotions feel like the biggest, most intense, extra version of that thing because you have never felt something so big in your life considering you haven't been doing this "alive" thing for too long. RIP Ella Royce, you would have loved modern psychiatric medicine & getting a proper diagnosis for the mood disorder you most definitely have.

She'll cry & carry on for however long she deems appropriate/believes that the cause of her grief is fresh, but she also gets incredibly overwhelmed by negative emotions so after a while she's going to run from it. She'll cry at the funeral & when a situation has just happened, but afterwards she's going to try to find some way to try to move on because "I want to be done now."

When her Grandfather Yorbert came home from being Jeyne Arryn's regent because he was sick, & she was having to watch him die, she started writing her fantastical, escapist self-insert history OC. When her Aunt Aemma died, she went back to those stories & actually finished writing them even though she hasn't touched them in at least a year. When her mom died she threatened to burn down King's Landing & then ran away from home so she wouldn't be at the place that was the source of her grief.

So, like, she's very good at the initial catharsis, & about as comfortable with it as one can be, but she's not good at when you have to process the feelings that come after that initial out pour.

I made a bunch of Mandos

This is a Mandalorian clan living on a forested Outer Rim planet. They were one of many clans that went underground during yet another anti-Mando purge, and decided to largely settle into the life they had, instead of rejoining the galaxy at large. They work as bounty hunters, bodyguards, mercenaries, and transport to support themselves, their ottaburas, and their increasing number of foundlings.

About ten years after they settle in, it's a massive surprise to them when a clan of clones settle on the planet nearby. They're not entirely sure what to think about that but eventually they reach out to the clones to see what they're doing there. An alliance ends up forming, to the benefit of both groups. After establishing a good working relationship, the Mandalorians gift the clones some ottaburas and teach them how to care for them.

From there, there is, shall we say, intermingling. Marriages happen, kids happen, and half of them forget that they weren't always one big dramatic mostly-happy family.

Aelia, Nautolan, mid-twenties, 5'9", she/her. She's fourth-generation Mandalorian and rather proud of it. She doesn't wear a helmet as she finds it too difficult to make it work with her head shape, and instead uses a personal force field-type shield. She's the head of security for her clan. She also prefers melee weapons to blasters. She's a tattooist and artist who knows everything there is to know about the flora and fauna of the local forests.

Azur, OC aquatic alien species, sixteen, 18'4", it/its. It was found by its clan as a baby, who chose their planet to settle on because it had deep lakes with plenty of room for it to grow. It rarely leaves the lakes near the clan's home, but is the first line of defence when a stranger shows up. Nobody expects the lake creature. As the only known one of its kind, the many identical clones fascinate it endlessly.

Coberra, half Zabrak half human, late thirties, 5'6", she/her. She inherited her mother's Nightsister potential, and when she was a child, her parents returned to Dathomir so she could be taught to harness that power. She decided to leave Dathomir shortly after her twentieth birthday to test her knowledge and fighting prowess against the rest of the galaxy. The first Mandalorian she met adopted her on sight, and she's been with Droma since.

Droma, human, sixty-eight, 5'10", he/him. He was born and raised on Concord Dawn. In his mid-twenties he started a bount-hunting team with his brother Nīkora and lifelong best friend Trace. They regularly returned to Concord Dawn until his parents died and Trace's moved to Ryloth. After that, his visits became more infrequent, until his new home became his permanent one. When the loose group of Mandos started talking about becoming a clan, they made him their leader.

Flea, human, twenty-two, 5'34", she/her. A street thief at the young age of seven, she tried to pickpocket a Mandalorian just to prove she could, and promptly got adopted when they realised what she was up to. She's hyperactive, a bit socially unaware, and simply can't be made to stop biting. She loves her new family - they're the only ones she's ever had - and takes the Resol'nare and other Mando traditions very seriously. Being called mandokarla is her primary goal in life.

Fleck, OC alien species, early twenties, 6'8", she/her. Despite all her skill in mercenary work, her true passion is flowers. It's not unusual to find her wearing a flower crown or boutonniere, or even occasionally carrying around a pot with some rare bloom that she's coaxing to grow. Her helmet is specially fitted around her horns. Its visor also has a special overlay to chart the locations of all local electrical fields, which are uniquely damaging to her species' physiology.

Hiwa, human, mid thirties, 5'6", she/her. Another Concord Dawn native, she was passing through and immediately paused her plans when she heard a familiar accent. What was originally intended as a temporary stay turned into joining the clan. Lately most of her time has been dedicated to courting that pretty little seamstress that just started working at a local dress shop.

John, anthro wolf, late forties, 6'2", he/him. He's a simple guy who likes to bite things and eat spicy foods, and honestly that makes him little different from any other Mando. As long as he keeps cleaning his fur out of the showers, everything's good. (But dude, seriously, how do you shed so much?) He's the de facto youngling guardian, as they can't get enough of his sleight of hand skills, and he's a total pushover who's always willing to learn their newest games and tricks.

Ming, human, nineteen, 5'1", she/her. She's half Chinese, has vitiligo, and trains the clan's massiffs (used for guarding, search and rescue scent work, and occasionally as extra help on bounty hunts). Due to her health impairments, her mother likes her to stay close to home, and is doing her best to not be too worried when Ming wanders off into the woods for hours to listen to the birds. She's able to mostly mitigate her thyoid disease and psoriasis symptoms with medication, but the anxiety is harder to deal with.

Nīkora, human, sixty-three, 5'9", he/him. Even at this stage in his life, it's his sworn duty to annoy the shit out of Droma whenever possible. He's also a grandfather to every kid he sees, even if they're not even vaguely related to him. He experiments in the kitchen a lot and he is fortunately much better than he was at twenty. He fishes for his own food but has never really gotten the hang of foraging. All the plants that look just like edible ones but are actually poisonous, worry him.

Paloma, human, early thirties, 5'5", she/her. She's a cheerful prank queen and fashionista who's also a gifted painter. She paints on all her jackets and colour-coordinates her outfits and hijabs. She also spends a lot of time in the garden with Fleck, as she finds it to be the most peaceful place on the planet. The butterflies there are one of her favourite things.

Rahua, OC alien species, early thirties, 5'9", she/they. Considered an ice queen by most strangers who meet her, though her clan sees a very different side of her. She's socially awkward a lot of the time but she loves them dearly, albeit clumsily at times. Her hearing and night vision are second to none, and she takes the night watch when that's needed. She also spends a lot of time at the lake with Azur and has become a very good diver. She/her to clan, they/them to outsiders.

Splendid, human, twenty-eight, 5'9", she/her. She likes bright colours and soft music, and borrowing plants from Fleck for a couple days at a time to brighten up her quarters (without having to actually keep the plant alive longterm). She's the most headstrong person in the clan. All her opinions are fiercely held and will be fiercely debated if anyone questions them. It can make her abrasive sometimes but she's pretty good at reining herself in when someone says she's going too far.

Storm, human, fifty-four, 5'8", he/him. The stars on his face are tattoos, each one representing a lost friend. He feels things deeply and is a very quiet individual by nature. He doesn't say much, but when he does, everyone listens to him. Life has taught him a lot, much of it unkind. Cruelty is familiar to him, and undesirable. Much more gentle than outsiders expect from a Mandalorian, but he doesn't regret it even when it turns out to cause problems for him.

Thiziri, human, thirty-six, 5'6", she/her. Breaking her back as a teen changed her life drastically, and it took a while for her to figure out how to move forward. The support of her clan was invaluable to her in moving forward and switching paths to become a mechanic and metal sculptor. Most large-scale repairs are carried out by people she oversees, but she manages to do a lot in her workshop. Along the way she also learned to crochet, and spends some of her downtime expanding her collection of button-eyed plushies.

Trace, Twi'lek, sixty-two, 5'8", she/her. She likes both her jobs and her cocktails to be quick and dirty. She also reads extensively, has an AO3 account that absolutely nobody is allowed to know about, and is an exceptional astronomer. Her ability to cause trobule is unparalleled but she never starts shit with the clan younglings. They're all hers as far as she's concerned, and she will cut a bitch for looking at them wrong.

Trick, ???, ???, 8'0", they/them. Their powers are vast and varied, and the rules about using them are unclear - or they just don't care to help sometimes because they find it more fun to fuck around (and not find out). When they want to help, there's no better ally, but their inconsistent willingness to use that power has resulted in everyone wanting to throttle them at some point. They're a trickster first and foremost, and enjoy messing with the things that should most be left alone. Although they aren't Mandalorian, as they haven't sworn the Creed and don't wear armour, they refer to their clan as family, and vice versa; nobody would consider getting rid of them because they are a valued member of the clan... and because it's impossible to do so. They're a semiaquatic species and spend a lot of time in the lake or the local cave system's subterranean river system.

Twig, OC alien species, twenty-six, 4'8", ze/zir. A polite young person that nobody thought would make a good Mando, until ze showed a surprising disposition toward aggressiveness when angered, and the clan decided they better teach the kid how to control that. Ze still has anger issues but has also made a lot of progress in controling zirself when necessary. (Though ze doesn't always agree with their definition of 'necessary'.)

Vanni, Zeltron, thirty-five, 5'10", she/her. There's nobody better at bullshitting or seducing her way into (or out of) trouble. While her clan has a rule that she doesn't use her pheromones on them, outsiders are fair game. Everything in life is simply entertainment to her, and there's very little that she takes seriously, apart from work. She loves freely and often, and has no time for those who try to pin her down. She's adopted three kids but has no intention of having any biologically.

Zhihao, human, thirty-eight, 5'2", she/her. When she got pregnant at nineteen, her parents disowned her, and she tried to find some way to survive on her own. The Mandalorians took her in, even though she wasn't much of a warrior at the time, and supported her in the way a family should. She stayed with them, trained with them, and swore the Creed at twenty-four. She's partially deaf and wears hearing aids. She's also Ming's mother!

Sugar is now an adult! She threw a birthday party for family and friends to come celebrate and have a good time with her.

This is also the last day she plans on staying in Strangerville but hasn't told anyone she will be leaving. Not even Mark.

Later on after putting Azure to bed. Sugar took a pregnancy test and it came back positive! She was happy to be having another baby, especially with Mark.

Mark was also happy about the news but that happiness fell through the moment Sugar told him they will be moving to Chestnut Ridge first thing in the morning.

Mark was very unhappy and argued with Sugar because why wouldn't she tell him before hand. Mark loves his hometown and wants to help save it if possible.

Sugar argued back because she is doing this for the safety of her and her family. The both couldn't come to an agreement and decided to sleep on it.

The next morning though, both Sugar's and Mark's opinions have not changed. So Mark called off their relationship.
