Mako oneshot <3
Tumblr media
Warning: 18+! Minors DNI!!
Includes bondage, slight drowning, danger and very light mentions of blood and violence so !!tw!!
Pairings: Mako
Word count: 952
A/n: This one isn't as good as my first one, nor is it nearly as long but I hope y'all still like it! Requests are open so don't hesitate to ask away!
This was a request from @princeasimdiya12, so thank you for the idea!
Mako felt his heart racing in his chest as he ran down the shady alleyway after a failed attempt at fighting the triple triads.
He was embarrassed at how he couldn't hold his own but that didn't matter right now. Even if he had not won the fight, he had dealt some serious damage to the gang and its leader. Heart thumping, breaths coming out in short desperate huffs and feet nearly stumbling over each other as he ran so fast that losing his balance was inevitable.
So when Mako's speed finally caught up to him, causing him to topple over, he wasn't surprised. Mortified, terrified? Yes. Surprised? Not exactly. He landed on the hard concrete with an oof and quickly shuffled to face the gang who he had been running from in the first place. He shot out a few measly puffs of fire in a desperate attempt to scare them off but failed miserably. Mako put up one hell of a fight to no avail as his clothes were stripped and both arms and legs bound together by metal chains.
Panic set in once his vision was obstructed by some red cloth and a ball gag was forced into his mouth. He let out muffled threats and pleas but froze once he felt his body submerged in a cold liquid- presumably the river running through republic city. Water filled his nostrils and lungs, causing him to choke and inhale even more water. Once he finally was able to pop his head above the water and take in a gulp of air, he began shaking his arms, desperately trying to free himself but failing.
His head bobbed up and down, in and out of the water until he felt his lungs fill with water. Luckily for Mako, the river reached a particularly shallow area and he was able to use his hand cuffs to wrap around a nearby tree, holding himself up against the current. He caught his breath and coughed up a bit of the water in his lungs but knew it wasn't over yet. At this point, his body was scratched up and had small cuts with blood trickling down his sides thanks to the rocks on the bottom of the river and the fact that he did not have any kind of cloth to shield himself from the harsh current.
Unable to talk, or see, or move, Mako was a sitting duck, his body being yanked back and forth by the thrashing of the river. So when Mako felt the blood rush to one specific area, he was confused. He was utterly shocked when he noticed how hard he was and how his erection was poking against his thigh at this point. There was absolutely no way he had gotten hard by almost drowning. No way he was aroused in this kind of situation, right? Wrong. In fact, Mako had never been so aroused in his life.
It was almost painful. And to make things worse, there was absolutely nothing he could do about it. With his arms bound to the tree, he couldn't wrap his fist around his aching erection, couldn't grant himself any kind of relief. The brunette squeezed his thighs together, shifting in the murky water so his cock was between his strong thighs. Soft grunts and moans escaped from around the ball gag as he ground himself against his thighs.
He couldn't believe it. He had almost died. Hell, there was still a chance he would die and here he was desperately humping himself like an animal in heat. It was pathetic. There was just something about being tied up like this, unable to see or speak and barely able to breathe that was just so hot. Half of him wished he wasn't in this situation but the other relished in the discovery of a new kink which he would just have to implement into his bedroom activities- assuming he made it out of this alive of course.
Feeling a certain familiar knot in his stomach, Mako sped up his motions, squeezing himself between his thighs and rocking his hips back and forth until he came with an inarticulate cry. Even though he couldn't see it, the water around him had turned a cloudy white, tainted with his release. Mako let out a pathetic whimper and a cough before catching his breath and pressing his forehead against the rough bark of the tree which he was currently chained to.
This gave him an idea. He rubbed his face against the tree until his blindfold slipped off and drifted down the river. He winced at the bright sunlight, taking in his surroundings and predicament before trying to think of various solutions. His cock lay semi-hard against his thigh, still lazily leaking his substance. He heard a distant shout and footsteps hurrying closer and closer. He tried to call out to them, forgetting his speech was disabled due to the red gag in his mouth.
He was surprised when he saw someone approach him. It was an old man whom he had never seen before. The man had a mixture of concern and disgust painted on his face. “I-ill go get help! Stay here.” The man spoke before bolting away towards- what Mako could assume was- the city. The thought of people seeing him like this made his cock twitch against his own skin and his heart swell at the thought. He was incredibly embarrassed as a group of men pulled him out from the murky water, his cock rock hard and pushing up against his loincloth. At least he had gained a bit more knowledge about himself from this experience… ?

2, 9 for LOK?
✨ love your fandom ask game ✨
2. A headcanon you weren't sure about at first but have come to like!
Ooh this one is kinda tough~ I'm generally rather removed from the fandom at large so I actually don't really know of a lot of popular headcanons out there, let alone ones I initially didn't like and came to like~ I really only ever consumed content about Baatar and Kuvira as they're my favorites, and with them I'd either like a headcanon outright, or dislike it outright. I will say, at least in the limited fan content I've consumed, there is a common idea of Baatar having gone to university in Ba Sing Se for a period of time. I've seen at least 3 folks use that in their writings for him, and while it was never something I was "unsure" about, I didn't initially include the idea in my version of him. I don't know who penned that headcanon first but I was always hesitant about being seen as "copying" anyone lol. I do like the idea though, especially with my very codependent versions of Baatar and Kuvira, some time apart like that during their "good years" would be rather interesting, since they have been in each other's lives for most of their lives, Baatar choosing to go where Kuvira can't follow- even for a short period of time, I can see her holding against him for a little while. Especially with her preexisting abandonment issues.
9. A ship that isn't your OTP but you enjoy
Once again I'm pretty singularly invested in Baatar and Kuvira but there are definitely some canon and fan ships that I like! Canon wise I'll always have a soft spot for Bolin and Opal, just because they're cute and I like the potential dynamic it creates with Baatar specifically. A lot of it is pretty contingent on my rewrite versions, but what can I say, I'm a bit of a sucker for puppy love. Lyn and Kya was an early ship I'd see in the fandom that I always was like *Kermit nodding gif* ooh yeah I like that, and I've also seen Lyn and Bumi which I also really like, but I never really delved into fan works of either admittedly. I'll confess that lately the crack ship of Baatar and Zhu Li has been on my mind, but definitely not as a positive ship in any way, more like a mutually waged psychological warfare that they aren't even trying to hide from each other kind. I don't remember what sparked the idea- I'm not usually one for crack ships as I tend to be pretty single-ship through and through, but it's been a fun dynamic to think about, especially the kinds of conversations they'd have.
#Ask Matsu#LoK Thoughts#[ The Baatar/Zhu Li thing is something I'd love to play with but it definitely would not be canon to my main AU lol#as fun as that would be Baatar does not expend any more energy on people than he needs to save for Kuvira and to a lesser extent Bolin#But the idea of him and Zhu Li waging war with each other behind the scenes is very interesting to me#especially with her really just trying to get information she can use against them out of him#and he's fully aware of that and just letting whatever happens happen to both see how far she'll take it but also to keep the leash drawn#in the event she actually choses to do something drastic#also for the sake of clarity Kuvira would be 100% fully aware and find it entertaining on a number of levels#her and Baatar do not keep secrets#she was probably the one to be like “lol you should see where that's going”#though I do think Baatar and Zhu Li would have some very interesting conversations#they're in very similar positions and I'm sure he'd wanna know why she put up with Varrick for so long#i mean he'd have a good guess but he'd wanna hear what her rationale is in her own words#and on Zhu Li's part she wants to know what twisted Baatar up so bad#but she'd also find a lot of his viewpoints about being a non bender rather gratifying#because he's willing to say out loud what a lot of people don't want to hear#I didn't meant to go on about that singular aspect lol but it's something I've been thinking about a lot lately#and crack-ships are rather new for me so this is uncharted territory#does this even count as a crack ship tho? maybe not#it definitely started out as “hehe the two glasses people on the train” but now it's like “hehe psychological warfare”#idk maybe it still counts lol ]#orangepanic

Anyone else had thoughts about the Halo potentially having some sort of sentience?
Like, it's been on earth for 1,000 years and been in the backs of probably 100's of people. The idea that it's just some interdimensional arc reactor, is fine. But the layer that it could add if it was would be really cool. (Assuming it would be written in well, especially depending on what they want to do with s3. with Reya and "heaven".)
We've now seen it can reject its bearers and heal them even though it's not within them. It was through the Halo that Ava had that interaction with Shannon. (The question I have with that is whether that was a memory or an imprint or even a piece of her soul that Ava was talking with?)
I am thinking of like Tsukumogami, objects after 100 years of service gaining a spirit. This thing has been in 100's of backs, being used for war, being believed in - we've now seen that faith is a power source - that's gotta have done something, right?

The notes on a recent post got me thinking
By nature, I’m a fan of having 2 beers and meeting strangers at a bar somewhere you’ve never been, which is a thing that we don’t do in 2023 between COVID and being afraid of one another because of the prevalence of gun violence and regular violence and misdirected road rage and the million other little deadly social erosions of the past 10 years or so.
You have got to let go of this idea that any place is a complete nothing-burger full of nothing-people.
You have to.
Its vitally important that you navigate that airport with a stranger in Denver and realize he’s got a tattoo of lyrics from your favorite song. To sing House of the Rising Sun with four people you’ve known for 2 hours (and somehow managed to get into the DNCs private bar with) in the back of an Uber in DC when it’s pissing rain and entirely too cold for your southern blood. It’s important to cooperate and solve problems together and go about it laughing and singing. We are silly little creatures that love a puzzle and a story.
It’s also important to flee a tornado in the back of a shitty red pickup at pride in Oklahoma City and feel the sky break wide-open against the lazy /tick-lok/ /tick-lok/ of the windshield wipers while racing down what once was Rte 66. Its important to know that in the face of creeping fascism that place, of all places, has entire gay neighborhoods. It’s important to wake up in an apartment high, high up in NYC and watch the sun through the buildings and boulevards and watch the glorious great goddamn of that impossible number of people all cooperating and all not. To say Hyoo-stun, that way, on purpose just to get a rise of your born and bred NY friend who does NOT think you’re funny but will make coffee for you.
You need to see a beach full of people cautiously approaching and flinching away from a floating, dead horseshoe crab on Tybee Island, Georgia the way any troupe of wild animals approaches an unknown alien thing. Cows in a field, fish in the ocean flinching from a diver. Little children squealing and wide eyed behind their parents legs. You need to be the person that walks out and picks it up and watches the rest of the crowd creep in to investigate.
I don’t get to travel a lot in the way that most people do, when I go to a place it’s usually because something bad has happened there, but I have found it universally true that most people just want to tell you a story or show you a picture on their phone of the craziest thing they’ve ever seen and they don’t particularly care who you are or what your accent is. Sometimes they do, and those people suck, but those people are not the majority.
Sometimes if you let an old redneck talk he’ll tell you everything you never wanted to know about forensic accounting. Sometimes you’ll meet someone in the middle of the biggest city in the US who knows everything about show pigs. I’ve been to the smallest Kansas towns and the biggest cities in the US and I’ve found none of them were full of nothing.

Katara's Lightning: waterbending technique
Part 1
Tumblr media
Book 3 provided some very good ideas for alternative uses of waterbending. Everyone knows bloodbending, one of the most powerful and conceptual techniques. In principle, I think the episode with Katara mastering this ability is the most interesting in the season.
But not only because of bloodbending, but also because of creative ways to obtain water. Get it out of the plants! Or even out of thin air! This opens up so many possibilities that, unfortunately, weren't explored during the season. Maybe this was considered in comics or LoK, but I would like to talk about my version of the development of the concept.
Tumblr media
I was very interested in controlling water in the air. I thought that this was a very revolutionary approach, because you need to get water from essentially nothing, it’s difficult and at the same time convenient. A source of water is always at hand, great!
However, the question is: is this all? Is it really impossible to go further and develop the ability in some other way? Lately I have been very interested in this question, and my reflection has taken me in an unexpected direction.
Tumblr media
I thought about storm clouds. We have already been shown how, together with an airbender, even an inexperienced waterbender can control clouds. However, in the future, when Katara develops her skills, she may well be able to cope with this task herself. Clouds are made of water, and thanks to Hama, she clearly learned to feel the element on a more subtle level and control it even in the air. Making water particles move in the sky might not be that difficult for her.
Tumblr media
And imagine how cool it would look during the invasion of the Fire Nation. If Katara didn’t just fly on Appa and destroy airships one by one, but carried a thunderstorm across the sky, like Storm from the X-Men. Bad weather would prevent the air force from entering the battle, and rain would help the waterbenders on the ground and prevent the firebenders from fighting. This would not only be visually powerful, but also quite useful.
And then I thought about what happens in a thunderstorm. Lightning. The firebending technique can essentially be summoned by the opposite element! This idea amazed me…
Let's start with where lightning comes from in nature. In simple terms, when small water crystals of different sizes move very quickly inside a thundercloud and collide with each other, they form opposite charges in different parts of it. The result is natural lightning. That is, all that is needed is to be able to control the water particles in the air, and, as we know, Katara has learned this.
Imagine if, during the same invasion, she had gotten too caught up in creating a storm. The ice particles collided so quickly that at some point, lightning appeared in time with Katara's movements. Powerful, uncontrollable, dangerous. She and Appa were in the middle of a storm without any preparation or protection, it was scary. But at the same time exciting and intriguing. How does it feel to realize that you can create magic of the opposite element? This can't help but stun you.
But Katara would have to restrain herself. I don't think she liked it, but she didn't want to put Appa and herself in danger. As a result, the thunderstorm she created was not half as powerful as it could have been.
Why is it important? Because in my perception this is not just a technique. I feel like the storm, and in particular the lightning, in this case represents Katara herself in book 3. Remember her rage in the episode "Southern Raiders" when she expressed long-buried feelings about the loss of her mother. Remember how long and painfully she nursed Aang after his death, and subsequently experienced enormous stress in “The Puppetmaster” due to bloodbending. I think Katara needs some emotional release (which she got in "Southern Raiders", but more on that in part two). And lightning could personify that internal energy that strives outward.
Tumblr media
Remember how Katara's anger manifested itself in book 1 through its effect on the water around her? What if it got bigger because Katara grew up as a master?
This time it is very dangerous to give in to feelings like this and turn them into the element, because Katara is not able to control the lightning itself, only create it. This can seriously hurt her herself, as well as those around her, just like words and deep resentments (for example, towards Sokka for not grieving the loss of their mother as much as she does). Therefore, there is nothing left to do but restrain the impulses of rage and irritation.
Perhaps she would even refuse to create new storms. Unfortunately, without someone who could control the direction of the lightning, she cannot guarantee the safety of herself and the people around her. But where can she find such a handyman?..

AANG & OZAI PARALLELS: DEBUNKED
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Because apparently the true villain is the sole survivor of a genocide of his entire nation, and not the imperialist colonizer.
Tumblr media
Where do I even begin?? Because I’m genuinely holding in laughter writing this, it’s absolutely insane how certain people can make such egregious parallels that aren’t even found in the first place.
AH, so a little backstory on how this fucking shit stained idea even came to existence, well our dear z^tara fans pissed their pants over Zuko and Katara not tying the knot, so, as a way of retribution for their supposed “honour” They take any chance to jump on the Aang hate train and make him into some irredeemable abusive demon, aaand they got that perfect opportunity because the LoK decided to take a lick out of the great “Main Characters Must Be Bad Parents In The Sequels” Trope. Which personally, does absolutely nothing to the protagonists resolution aside from cheap family drama but I digress.
Now, I’m not behind the idea of the writers trying to make Aang a “flawed” Parent, I think it really makes no sense by how they went about it, (I might touch on this in another post)
((And it’s so very clear that they’re trying to give it a soft “retcon” And even taking extra steps saying that Kya and Bumi just “remember wrong” Which I’ll actually take, because season two of LOK was hell on earth anyway so you might as well give it some saving grace.))
--------------------------------------------------------------
There’s three main parallels that they got from Ozai and Aang: (god help me)
Favouring a child
isolating the rest
leaving pressure On the golden child
I’m going to debunk all three of them while trying not to fall into complete lunacy over how ridiculous they are.
Favouring a child + Leaving pressure:
OK, so people are clearly blind with context clues and media comprehension, got it. No surprise whatsoever. I can’t be disappointed if I didn’t even have any expectations to begin with.
Let’s compare the treatment on how Ozai treats Azula, and how Aang treats Tenzin. (Holy Shit)
Beginning with Ozai, well.. It doesn’t take much of a rocket scientist to understand that Ozai essentially could not give two fucks about Azula, as she in essence, serves the role of an attack dog, as long as it does its job, it’s worthy.
Ozai favoured Azula because she was molded to match his ferocity and hunger for power, she was a prodigy bender, and was cunning and calculated, all traits that Ozai found endearing and someone worthy to be crowned the next “fire lord.” His “favouring” Of her didn’t come out of genuine love or care, she is his tool who serves a purpose. In short, she showed more competency and more ruthlessness and callousness in comparison to Zuko. Which earned her, her place as the “Golden Child.”
Tumblr media
-------
None of this is even remotely similar to how Aang treated Tenzin and his kids, aside from the fact he supposedly “favoured” Tenzin more, but that is such a baseline statement and has absolutely no relation with Ozai's reasons.
You have to understand that an entire FUCKING NATION IS DEAD. History, Culture, Tradition, is at the BRINK of being wiped out, Tenzin is quite literally the only Airbender that will be left after Aangs passing. Why do people devalue this concept so much?
“B-BUT THE AIR ACOLYTES1!!” Still have limited knowledge, airbending is so heavily tied to its spiritual roots, you LOSE your ability to AIRBEND, if you aren't inclined to your spiritual side. Which is a core part of the air nomad culture. Tenzin is... Literally the only god forsaken part left of that, so yeah. It’s a pretty big fucking deal. Aang values his culture and teachings to such a high degree, he is literally the survivor of a genocide. His favouring of Tenzin was done out of necessity and love, not out of a need for power and a new attack dog to send orders around.
Tenzin will literally be the future “Director” Or guide for the next avatar to learn airbending, people still forget this, and it’s hilarious. He needs to know all the moves, all the teachings because he will be the next avatar's personal guide.
Aang constantly reassures him, and apologizes for the pressure that may be put upon him but he always reaffirms that he’ll be there to guide him and they’ll “learn together”
Tumblr media
---------
So yeah not the same thing at all. Fuck you for being so inept at understanding the different reasons and perspectives of those situations, just for some petty ship discourse, genuinely disgusting.
Isolating the children:
OK this part, I have to say that the writers definitely messed up with aangs characterization, but I think the execution came out way differently than the intention, so I will try to look more into the intention of each decision.
Ozai isolated Zuko, mistreated him, belittled him, PHYSICALLY ABUSED HIM, but yeah totally on par with Aang actually.
I don’t wanna touch on this part much mainly because his treatment was literally explained all throughout the show, and granted, while I understand most of these people haven’t touched the show aside from reading fanfic 300000 Where Aang is revealed to us as satan himself, but perhaps, even a small peak at Ozai's parenting would reveal the laughable contrast between the two.
Zuko was a slow learner, and much more of a softie, and a “mama's boy” To Ozai’s heavy dislike, he was thus treated as such, he was belittled, turned down, and literally burnt alive for showing “weakness” He is meant to serve as a direct contrast to Azula, ”The everything he isn't.”
Kya and Bumi on the other hand, don’t show any actual signs of trauma aside from some petty jabs they threw at Tenzin,
Bumis talk with Aang at the statue was *very very* Clearly, meant to highlight his own inferiority complex that he internalized growing up. His need for proving himself to be capable of doing just as much if not more than a “bender” Probably happened because his two parents were both prodigy benders and him being a first born son who was a non-bender must’ve hit pretty hard for him, and I’m so sure that katara and Aang reassured how special he is but that kind of thing doesn’t really go away.
------
Tumblr media
------
Kya: [while healing Bumi] I told you those rocks were slippery. You're lucky you didn't kill yourself.
Bumi: You done with the lecture, mom?
Kya: Oh, grow up. You haven't changed one bit since we were kids. You're still trying to prove you can do everything a bender can. Well, you can't. Deal with it.
----------------------
That talk with Aangs statue was very much meant to unveil an internal struggle rather than a conflict he had with his father. Kya even doubles down on this, telling him “of course he’d be proud of you” Basically spoon feeding to us, the viewers, that this is much more of internal than an external conflict that he has to overcome along the show.
“Why Didn’t he share his culture with them 1!!1!”
He most definitely did, or tried to, but it’s clear they didn’t show much interest so he didn’t pester, this is shown many times throughout the show.
Tumblr media
“You know I could never keep all those gurus straight… There were like a million of them!
remember that long boring story about the guy who never ate?”
This is literally Kya’s remark to Tenzin just after he tried teaching the airbender students this story, basically telling us that Aang DID try to tell them about his stories and culture, but much to their disinterest, didn’t try any further.
And Bumi, literally could not pay attention to the story to save his life, and instead decided to fool around in his literal 60’s!! I mean Imagine what he was like when he was a kid!!
I could imagine their dynamic was very similar to Jinora with Meelo and Ikki, Tenzin being the only one with actual interest and care, whilst Bumi and Kya goofing off and not putting much focus onto it. WHICH IS FINE BTW!!
It only goes to reiterate that Tenzin was the only one who was actually giving interest and attention to the air nomad culture, and it was of Kya and Bumi’s own personal choice to not partake in it. To each their own I see.
“BUT WHAT ABOUT THE VACATIONS”
This.. I agree, weird for the writers to decide this, but given how they low-key are retconning it in interviews, my best guess is that each of those trips were side-quests during their journey to teach an important lesson that might’ve just drowned out because Tenzin may not have remembered it as well.
Also keep in mind that Tenzin was put into a lot of pressure, Aang probably saw this, and as a way to still keep it enjoyable, he took him to trips that would help ease the mind for a little kid whilst also learning something valuable. That seems pretty on brand for Aang actually
And given that Kya and Bumi are literally in their fucking 60’s it wouldn’t surprised me if they didn’t have the greatest memory. Hell, they didn’t even fault Aang as a parent until Tenzin started boasting about “trips” That Kya and Bumi gave petty jabs but weren’t actually showing genuine hurt, just annoyance.
Kya even comments how Aang was too busy “Trying to save the world, and doing his duty that he didn't have much time for them”
Phrasing as if it wasn't anything "important" But it's clear that this was Kya's own personal irritation towards Tenzin rather than an actual evaluation on Aang's duties.
A continuation comic best explains it in a deeper way:
Tumblr media
----------
Literally showing that “neglecting” His kids wasn't up to him, and was out of a sense of necessity, trying to cram as much knowledge onto Tenzin, the only one who was basically putting his lessons into practices. Kya and Bumi were left feeling neglected. But that wasn’t out of his decision; he still loved them dearly.
Tumblr media
-------
This. Literally highlighting how much pressure was forced upon Aang, so yes, as any person would, he struggled with making time for everybody. Holy shit who knew??
GASP!! IS THAT… A REALISTIC BUT UNDERSTANDABLE FLAW!!?? HOW DARE YOU! ITS OZAI #2
The fact that the smiley energetic person forgets to SMILE, is a big deal, man was put through hells amount of stress but he never cracked.
So tell me, how is a genocidal freak, who treats his golden child like a tool and abuses the other both physically and emotionally for showing “weakness’
Even remotely comparable to
the sole survivor of a genocide, trying to withhold his teachings and culture onto literally his only child that showed actual effort in doing so, while also maintaining the balance of an entire fucking world and being literally the biggest “advisor” And “Mentor” For society, OH! And also building and managing a literal city, but along the way struggling to make time for his children.
Guess what, they’re not. And if you think they are. You are an idiot, with bias and headcanons.
So the conclusion is, Aang is a flawed parent, but he isn't a "bad" Parent - confirmed by the literal writers.
Comparing him to Ozai a literal dictator, is absolutely sickening, just for your petty shipping discourse when this show's been over for a decade is insane. Indulge in what you enjoy, but stop projecting delusions like they're canon.

Loki x Ticklish Reader
Romantic + 13. “That’s… quite an attitude for someone in your position.” Requested by >:3 anon for my 1K Followers Event🌻
This little drabble turned into a 1.3K words fic, oops I got carried away. Hope you like it anon!
Tumblr media
It was the basic rule and you knew that. You lost the game. Loser gets to do whatever the other asks for the rest of the day. Of course you had only agreed to the condition in order to gain power over your usually evil and sassy lover Loki, God of Misschief, but unfortunately found yourself in the opposite camp. Losers camp.
"Don't worry love. You don't think I would actually ask you things to humiliate you? Just some innocent simple things to tease my sweetheart, that's all. You know what? In order to make it easier to follow my commands, I'll offer you two choices everytime. Do you agree?" Loki reasoned with a smug smile on his face.
You rolled your eyes fondly and fiddled with your playing cards, the ones that had guided you into this losing game. You nodded.
"Alright, sounds fair to me," you answered. You knew Loki wouldn't be too bad to you, considering he was your lover after all. However you liked the idea of having at least some freedom to choose. Loki nodded.
"Good. Then starting with the first set of choices. Either you give me a kiss," he tapped his own lips.
"Or... I tickle you."
Your eyes widened at the mention of the second option, and you coughed in surprise. Tickle?! What... You shook your head and quickly leaned in to kiss his lips.
"E-easy choice," you mumbled with a blush. Loki smirked at you.
"Right?" He pulled you back and kissed you more.
The next few hours, Loki would offer you more choices, but at random. However being the evil God of Misschief, he stuck to an obvious pattern. So very evil.
Bark like a dog, or I tickle you.
Give me a massage, or I tickle you.
Braid my hair, or I tickle you.
They were innocent requests at first, but turned weirder and harder.
Feed me a donut, with your mouth, or I tickle you.
Do a handstand while singing a serenade to me, or I tickle you.
"You know I wouldn't choose the second option by now! Try something else!" you said with a red face, which was about to become even redder now that you started the crazy handstand-serenade thing. And it got even crazier, that little...!
Run into that store and yell "The Hulk is my man!", then buy cookies and leave. Or… I tickle you.
"You really are enjoying yourself aren't you!" you yelled after living through that most humiliating experience ever, and you threw the pack with cookies you bought at his face. His laughter was both maniacal and sweet.
Put these on, or I tickle you.
When Loki offered a pair of handcuffs, you should've known it was a trap. Still, you were very quick to put your hands forward, blushing at the thought of him tickling you, like you did everytime he mentioned the damn word! But the moment the cold metal clicked around your wrists and Loki waved the key between his fingers before putting it into his pocket, you knew you were done for.
"Now, spread your arms and tell me you love me... or, I tickle you," he said, slowly and teasingly, his eyes locking with yours. You swallowed and moved your hands a little, only to confirm these were real handcuffs.
"I c-can't," you said. "I can't spread my arms like this... You have to take these off first."
Loki cocked his head. "That's too bad now. I'm afraid I lost the key, and I really need this confession from you. Spreading your arms is part of the deal. Hm... I guess that leaves only one other option," he said, but you jumped back and shook your head, already giggling in anticipation.
"No no no, hehehe you trickster! That's cheating, it isn't fair!"
"I did not cheat, it is fair, I still gave you two choices," Loki explained calmly, approaching you with slow steps and a sadistic and triumphant look on his face.
"Y-you're being totally unfair, cheater! I'll get you back for this!" Your back touched the wall and you gulped.
Loki only needed a few more steps to completely cage you in. “Really? You'll get me back? That’s… quite an attitude for someone in your position.”
You let out a squeak as soon as he grabbed you, and you started laughing even before you felt the long-awaited and anticipated tickles invading your body.
"Nohoho you're so mehehean!" you laughed when he tickled you with firm and steady touches, his fingers digging into your soft torso and rubbing circles almost as if he was massaging you. But damn it tickled like hell!
"I am the God of Misschief after all~" Loki said proudly, taking your cuffed hands and pushing them up over your head to pin them there, with magic. Your eyes widened when he waved both hands at you, showing you that he didn't need them to keep your arms pinned helplessly.
"You cheheheater wahahah!" you howled again when he tickled both your armpits, ribs and sides without mercy. You danced and bucked against the wall in the most uncharming manner, causing you to blush even more.
"Finally I can tickle you. I wanted to let you know that one way or another, I get what I want," Loki sang proudly. It was funny that he needed to make such a show out of it while he could've tickled you straight away from the get-go, right after winning the card game.
But no, he needed to come up with the 2 choices rule. He needed to make it into this silly game and let you do crazy things like the handstand-serenade and feeding him with your mouth, and the damn Hulk shoutout at the store, oh that was awful!
"You ahahare the wohohorst!" you shrieked, kicking your legs while the magic held your bound arms in place. Loki simply caught your leg and tickled your thigh.
"I am the worst, but you do love me," Loki said teasingly, smiling when your laughter went even pitchier the moment he tickled your thigh.
"Right?" he asked, but you were going insane with hysterical laughter.
"Nohoho! I hahahate you hehehe!" you laughed defiantly.
"Oh we both know that is a lie," he said, and yes it was kind of embarrassing that even in this helpless position, you felt like you needed to show your evil boyfriend some more attitude. But it happened. You were rude, and you paid the price. Loki lifted both your legs, making you wrap them around his waist, and he tickled your inner thighs until you were almost screaming into his face.
This was not only getting way too ticklish and tiring, but also way too embarrassing. You did love Loki after all, and looking the way you did in front of the one you loved, really was too embarrassing.
"AHAHA alrihihight I lohohove you! Hahahaha! Plehehease! Mehehercy!"
"Loki, God of Mercy, at your service," Loki teased like the brat he was. A single snap of his fingers didn't only release your hands from their magical cage, but also released your hands from the cuffs. You immediately wrapped your arms around his neck for balance.
With your legs still around his waist, you were pressed between him and the wall, and you'd wipe the smug expression off his face if it weren't for this urgent desire to kiss him.
"I promise you, I will get you back for that evil prank," you said breathlessly. Loki shrugged and smiled.
"Can't wait, darling~" he answered, and finally the two of you kissed. Your own loud and hysterical laughter was still ringing in your ears, but Loki's lips against yours also set off some imaginary fireworks inside your head, which really made up for a lot of things.
But... That didn't mean you would give up any shot at revenge. Which, in the case of plotting against your powerful lover, meant that you simply had to get better at card games, beat his ass next time and claim. your. prize!

I know you most likely already realized this, but I was just thinking about Aang as a father in LOK, and realized something. If Katara ended up with Zuko and eventually had children together, Zuko would likely end up being a better father than Aang. Aang never even met his parents, and only had instructors as parental figures. They're like parents but mostly just in the way that a school teacher would be. But Zuko understands what good parents and what bad parents look like because he knows what his own parents are like. His memories of Ursa and Iroh would be his guide to what you SHOULD do for a child, and Ozai is an example of what you should NOT do. Zuko doesn't have the pressure of repopulating firebenders because firebenders aren't virtually extinct, so there wouldn't be as much (if any) pressure to pay unfairly extra attention to one child over the other. Zuko knows what it's like to be neglected by a parent that's supposed to love because of something you can't control. Aang clearly doesn't, hence why he neglected Bumi and Kya II in the first place. Zuko also has experience with Azula, and would know to recognize any bad signs of sibling jealousy and/or hatred, and put an end to it because he knows what bad sibling dynamics look like.
I feel like he would also be a better husband to Katara. He's not as naive as Aang when it comes to marriage; Zuko has the experience of growing up with two married parents, and would know what not to do. Katara would relax better because the distribution over who watches the kids would be more fair, as Zuko would give them ALL attention. While Aang made Katara jealous from always being around the Air Acolytes (in the comics), I feel like Zuko would not give polite attention to women who are rude to Katara/flirting with him because in the show, Zuko knows exactly how hurtful it feels for a romantic partner to flirt with/give polite attention to people who are obviously pursuers. Imagine being in an alternate dimension where Zutara was the main endgame couple, and we get to see their parental dynamics in LoK. There would probably be a flashback of Katara getting worked up about one of their children, and Zuko would ease her into calming down because he sees a solution that she didn't.
Tumblr media
Aang's issues are more than he doesn't know. He is selfish by nature. Selfish parents aren't good parents. I know this for a fact. It's an endless cycle of 'It's your fault' or 'what about how I feel' every time you try to say something. It's not fun, and it's damaging. I can totally see Aang using this behavior as a way to get what he wants. As far as him being naive... yes. He is very naive and doesn't take anything seriously.
Like the war, for instance. He was only there for the last year of it. He wasn't born into the war like Zuko, Katara, Sokka, Toph, and Suki. They aren't naive. They know what war is like. Toph is the same age as Aang, and she is much more mature than he is. He's got this idea that killing anyone is bad, but he is responsible for a lot of deaths. Honestly, he has a kill count from the Fire Nation attack on the NWT, and a lot of people overlook that for some reason. Actually, the show overlooks it because Aang is the Hero, and it's okay if he killed people. So, when all is said and done, all of the things that he does afterward is overlooked too. It's a huge writing flaw with the show. So how does this translate to him as a parent?
It makes him a hypocrite.
Plain and simple.
He's so focused on reviving the Air Nomads that he has little knowledge on what they actually believed. What we are given is a few Taoist, Hindu, and Buddhist proverbs to go off of. Then, it's completely disregarded (disrespected as well) for 'Love'. This 'Love' is actually deep infatuation fueled by jealousy and possessive behavior. Which is actually frowned upon by the three religions mentioned above. It is a 'poison' to the spirit. And disconnects you from being enlightened (I think that is what the proverbs/scriptures are eluding too, if I'm wrong, please do not hesitate to explain, I'm super interested in cultures and eastern religions) or granted a place in Heaven (or their version of it). Letting go of all earthly possessions is common place in most religions. Aang does not do this. But I digress.
So, while there is the Nature vs Nurture aspect of parenting... where Katara does most of the Nurturing because that is how her character is written post-war and LoK. Notice how is said Written. Written by two misogynistic men who stripped her of a lot of her characteristics from the original run of the show. This is the problem. And it's the same with Aang. I can't take him seriously because he doesn't take any of it seriously. Especially with his children. He's not a serious character. He acts like he's serious, but he never really left the 12 year old boy behind to mature. Probably because in his fictional relationship with Katara, she enables him to keep doing what he always does. Which is to not grow. Relationships grow sour when the two people in them do not grow. It's not really about who grew up with parents at that point because it's the current parents that are the ones that should be to blame.
Now on to Headcanon space...
Zutara is a Headcanon ship. Did it almost happen? Oh yes I believe it did because the writing supports it heavily and Bryke's actions post show also scream 'lairs'. Sorry, but I have a pretty good Bullshit metor and Bryke set it off big time by their immature behavior.
But I digress.
Zuko grew up with a Narcissistic Sociopath as a Father and a Mother who was caught in the middle of a choice she was essentially forced to make. Ursa was also forced to forget her own parents never existed after she married Ozai. This is all canon, by the way. Her life before her marriage was great, but then it was taken away so she had nothing left but her morals and beliefs. However, while she loved both of her children, her influence on Zuko is essentially what made him who he is. Ursa didn't get to influence Azula like she did Zuko. Why? Because of Ozai.
Ozai pit his children against each other. This was apparently a Fire Nation Royal Family tradition because it sounds like Azulon did this with Iroh and Ozai as well. This kind of parenting style is abusive to its core. What Ozai did to Zuko isn't neglect... it's straightforward abuse and control. How do you make a child do what you want? You hurt them, or you take something away from them. Ozai both hurt Zuko and took away his home by banishing him. If Zuko wants to go back home, he has to find and capture the Avatar. It's that simple, but at the same time, it's also near impossible.
Flash forward to Canon Zuko and we see he has one child and he is a very loving father. Actually, he's the best father in the show. His experiences with growing up as the not so favorite child has made his choice to have one child easy. Probably because he and his spouse had a less than perfect relationship. This also may have influenced him to be protective of Izumi (as we can see he's still protective over her even at 90 years old) because of the loveless relationship his parents had. It was enough to damage him deeply when it came to relationships. This is likely also why he had trouble with Mai as well.
Headcanon space now...
Zuko loving Katara is what makes the difference here. Love is giving your partner the freedom to make their own choices and support them. As long as there is good communication, trust, and honesty. Something Maiko does not have, by the way. So it stands to reason that even with Nature Vs Nurture in the way of parenting, both win here. I'll tell you why Zuko's relationship with his parents here have no effect on why he would choose to have more children with Katara.
Because if written well, it's a very good relationship between them. We already know they work well as a team. The show gives us this. We know that Zuko absolutely cares about Katara. The show also gives us that. We also know they become lifelong friends. So why do they make great parents?
Because they rely on each other.
It has nothing to do with how they were raised individually, but everything to do with how they support each other narritively. They trust each other to make good decisions together. They rely on being honest with each other. They also communicate with each other. This by itself is the building blocks for a healthy and stable relationship. With that in mind, parenting is easier. There is no need to be afraid of becoming a bad parent because they hold each other accountable. It's a deep relationship. Having multiple children is easier because it is a loving relationship. There's no conflict besides the silly little arguments over simple things that happen all the time. It's just an overall healthy dynamic.
And that is what appeals to Zutarians.
While it was almost canon, I'm glad it isn't because Bryke would definitely not get it right. They tried to make Korra and Mako happen out of spite because they believe Zutara is toxic. It's not. Their children would turn out absolutely fine because Zuko would not change a thing about Katara. It's in the show. He doesn't try to change her because that's not his job. His job in TSR is to let her find closure. He offers it to her because he cares about her. Bottom line.
Anyway, I probably forgot what you said at this point because I just tend to go on and on, but I tried my best to stay on topic... ADHD is both a blessing and a curse.

Korra x Fem!Reader <3
Tumblr media
Pairings: Korra x Fem reader
Warnings: 18+ !!Minors DNI!!
Word count: 3k+ (longer than anticipated 💀)
Notes: I'm really jumping in head first... This is my first ever story (if you can even call it that) I'm posting public and it's smut. Yay me. Anyways, I know my writing style isn't for everyone and if you have any kind of CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, please share. I have actually no idea how to use this app though sooooo.... Also, I know LOK is one of the older fandoms but I was rewatching it and I'm obsessed (again) anyways enough yapping, here ya go you thirsty fuckers <3
Korra was losing it.
She had been at sea for almost a year, helping out a friend of hers and it was killing her. The merciless thrashing of the rickety old boat, the smell of fish and bad hygiene and the fact that she was incredibly lonely was driving her crazy. Despite the whole crew of workers and shipmen, she felt isolated. Miserable. All she could think about? You. Your beautiful (color) eyes and the way your hair was effortlessly perfect no matter how intense, brutal and merciless the day had been towards you. And don't even get her started on that sweet, kind gaze of yours.
Just thinking about you made her heart swell as if she were standing on a cliff, parachute cord in hand and she loved it. What she didn't love, however, was how far she was from you. Hundreds of miles of vast blue ocean kept her from the person she loved most. It was almost too much to bear. It had been so long since you had said goodbye. So long since she had felt your warm hands in her cold ones, felt your gaze on her skin, smelled your perfume. Tasted your li-
Her thoughts were interrupted just in the nick of time, saving her from having to deal with the sensitivity pooling between her legs had her thoughts continued down the path they were headed. The thing that had pulled her from her individual paradise? The boat's horn which signaled they were docking. Korra almost sobbed in delight when she saw just where they were docking. It was the island she had departed from in the first place, the island where you resided. She hadn't even realized where she was headed until she saw the island.
She was the first one off of the ship, nearly tackling civilians with the force of a NFL quarterback as she bolted through the busy streets. She knew where she was going, she could find your house even if she were blind. She owed her thanks to all the times she snuck off and climbed through your window at the dead of night just to escape it all. She would knock a special little pattern so you didn't even have to bother asking who it was. She'd climb through the window and sigh in relief. Every. Single. Time. Like clockwork.
At first she'd act as if it was just a casual hang out between friends but then came the ranting. She would tell you absolutely everything; from what she had for breakfast to how much pressure that came with being the avatar. Having the whole world rely on her to save and protect them wasn't easy baggage to carry. What a load for just one girl in her early twenties. Her visits were routine for the both of you at that point. You loved listening and it was nice for her to be able to let her strong facade fall- even if it was just for a moment. But none of that mattered now. All that mattered was the fact that Korra could see your house in the distance, her heart swelling as she conjured a ball of wind to carry her faster than her feet could move.
Even though she was zooming through the town, earning concerned or intrigued glances by its inhabitants, it still wasn't fast enough for Korra who had been waiting to see you for longer than she would like to think about. Finally, after what felt like hours, she finally arrived at your humble yet cozy home. Wasting no time, she walked over to her signature window and thought about performing her signature knock but decided to leave her visit as a surprise and pick the lock instead. She climbed inside and perched on your bed, listening intently for any kind of footsteps.
Her ears pricked up like a dog when she heard you singing that same little tune which she had always wondered where it had originated. Your sweet voice was wafting through the air as you rummaged through the kitchen. Growing ever impatient, Korra blew a waft of air from her lungs, knocking down one of your books from the shelf before running into the closet. Hearing the unusual sound, you made your way to your bedroom to seek out the source.
Your eyes landed on the book that was currently out of place and you picked it up, brushing it off and straightening a few pages before placing it back on the shelf. Korra moved silently. Like a ninja– except she was wearing bright blue. She cleared her throat as she stood tall and excited, eager to see your face and feel your gaze on hers. When you finally turned around, everything was a blur. Next thing Korra knew; she was on the floor with a thumping head and a bump to match.
“Korra!? Oh my god I'm so sorry! I thought you were an intruder! Although you kind of are, seeing as you broke in through my window– but I didn't mean to hit you!” You spoke, remorse and guilt prominent in your voice as you threw the object responsible for the bump on Korra's forehead to the floor; a frying pan that luckily hadn't been on the burner yet. The pan landed with a loud clink on the hardwood as you fell to your knees next to Korra. When Korra began to laugh, you became even more worried. Maybe you had accidentally given her brain damage..?
Korra looked up at you and you could swear you saw a couple tears of relief well in her eyes before retreating. Strong arms enveloped you in an almost suffocating hug, dragging you down to the floor along with her. You couldn't help but let out a small giggle, happily returning the hug and moving your body as close as it could possibly get. The two of you stayed like that for what felt like hours before you finally sat up and used your waterbending to conjure a small ice cube, placing it on the bubble on Korra's forehead.
“Yknow, you really shouldn't sneak up on someone like that. This is what you get.” You joked, giggling softly as you helped the swelling go down. Korra just rolled her eyes. “How was I supposed to know you were gonna hit me with a frying pan?” This caused the both of you to explode in laughter at the sheer dumbness of the situation. Once you had caught your breath, you tucked a stray strand of hair behind your ear. “What are you doing here? I thought you wouldn't be back for a couple more months?” You asked, a slight smile painted on your face.
Korra shrugged before getting off of the ground and brushing herself off. She reached a hand down and you took it without hesitation. You barely even had to move as your brown haired lover did all the work, yanking you to your feet as if you weighed no more than a baby penguin. You landed against her muscular chest with a soft oof sound, pressing your palm flat against her as you looked up into her crystal blue eyes. Before you could pull away, her slightly chapped lips landed on yours, sucking the breath right out of you.
Months of yearning, of desperation all built up had dug their way inside of the avatar and made the kiss their escape plan. This resulted in you quickly being enveloped by her strong body, trapping you between her chest and arms, forcing you to rise to your tiptoes just to reach her. Your arms wrapped around her neck with not nearly as much force and strength as hers. You were suffocating and you loved it. She devoured your lips like a starving predator who had been teased with a slab of juicy meat for the past year.
When she finally loosened up and allowed you to pull away, you were panting, your face about 10 shades redder than its previous color. “Wow…” was all you could muster out and you couldn't help but tighten your lips at how pathetic and breathless you sounded. Korra just giggled, pressing her soft lips against your temple.
"Sorry I've just... You have no idea how much I've missed you."
“Judging by that kiss? I'd say you missed me a lot.”
Your comment earned a soft flick to your forehead but before you could make another sarcastic comment her lips landed on your collar and any kind of witty remark you had planned to say suddenly turned insignificant and flluttered out of your train of thought.
Your hands found their way to the back of her head, tangling in her shaggy brown hair as if they had a mind of their own. Her name blew through you in a single breath, granting a satisfied hmm? from her as she moved her lips against your skin. She lifted your body with ease, placing you gently on the bed as if you were a precious piece of glass. She maneuvered her body to rest above yours, supporting herself on her hands which rested on each side of your head.
How did things escalate so quickly? You asked yourself. Not that you were complaining. Quite the contrary actually.
You couldn't help but wonder how you had managed to make someone like her fall for you. She was absolutely beautiful from her ocean blue eyes, silky hair and perfect body all the way to her braveness and selflessness. Everything about her was enough to make you swoon on the spot and here she was, the avatar, hovering above you as if you were the whole world in her hands, admiring you with lidded eyes and mouth slightly parted as she took in the sight before her.
You hadn't realized it, but you yourself weren't making this any easier for her either with the way you were staring up at her. You had this…innocent look on your face that went right in direct contrast with the way your body responded to her touch, the way you made those soft little gasps and moans every time her lips found a new sweet spot. She knew your body like the back of her hand. Every bundle of nerves, every little spot that- when kissed in the right way, pushed you right over the edge. You were sitting in the palm of her hand and you wouldn't have it any other way.
Korra resumed her previous actions but progressed them by slipping her tongue past your plump lips, entangling it with yours as you let out soft breaths only for them to be lost in the kiss. Hot breaths and eager lips further warmed the kiss and when you felt her leg slip in between yours, you practically came undone right at that simple yet effective movement. You clutched her closer, growing impatient. Skilled hands unbuttoned your blouse, throwing it to an unimportant corner of the bedroom as she admired your smooth chest for the first time in months.
She took her time with you. Stopping at every birthmark, every dent in your skin and peppering light kisses over it before unclasping your bra and taking one of your rosy buds into her mouth. You let out a shaky fuck. As your hands pulled on her hair ever so slightly. Korra couldn't leave your other bud out, could she? So she took the other one between her thumb and pointer, rolling it back and forth and continuing her motions on the other. She knew how this got to you and soon enough you were arching against her, grinding your hips against her knee as she smirked against your skin.
“Someone's eager~” she teased with a devious grin. You turned your head to the side, a shade of red growing on your cheeks. “You're the one that started this.” You responded. You were always known for your sarcastic remarks and that's one of the many things Korra loved about you. She giggled softly as she continued her journey down your ethereal body. At least, it was ethereal to her. She made her way to your legs, peppering kisses along your inner thighs, courtesy of your skirt. She rolled the fabric up, completely exposing your most secretive parts.
Korra grazed her teeth against your skin, causing you to gasp and instinctively close your legs around her head. She clicked her tongue as a teacher would before parting your legs once again and holding them in place. Her kisses grew sloppier as they moved up to that place where she had been dreaming about for months. She placed a kiss on your panties, the thin fabric not putting up much of a fight nor offering up adequate protection to your sensitive nub. All of this, she knew, of course.
The brunette chuckled at your reaction, relishing in how sensitive you were, just as she remembered. She began pulling down your panties, inch by agonizing inch until you were left with nothing but your skirt which was tangled in itself at this point. That had to go too. Your clothes lay scattered throughout your bedroom but that was insignificant. All that mattered to you now was your brown haired, blue eyed lover who was tying her hair up in a messy ponytail as she gazed down at you with a certain intense hunger only she could possess.
That first lick along your aching core always sent shivers down your spine and your hands flying down to grasp at her hair, usually earning a teasing remark such as “so responsive~” which didn't help very much with easing your growing arousal. When her first finger traced a gentle circle around your clit, your legs jerked and attempted to squeeze together once again but they were not allowed. Korra was being too slow. She was savoring the moment, yes, but maybe she was savoring it a bit too much. You groaned and tugged her closer, hoping she'd get the message.
She did.
Without warning, she plunged a finger into the depths of your core causing your back to arch off of the plush mattress below. “This is what you wanted, isn't it?” She asked with a raise of her brow but you were too lost in the feeling of her finger curling against a certain bundle of nerves to even think about uttering a response. Just the way she liked it. She added a second digit, further stretching you out as she continued her previous motions. Every curl of her fingers, every sloppy kiss or word of praise pushed you further and further towards the edge.
She pressed her textured tongue flat against your clit, earning a strangled gasp and a pull at her hair from you. She hummed against you, sending vibrations up all the right places as her fingers grew even bolder. Her tongue flicked over your clit again, and you were ashamed of the whimper– almost cry that erupted from your throat as you felt your climax inch ever closer. You called out her name but your voice just came out as some sort of croak. “Shhh…it's okay. Just relax princess, I've got you~” She cooed and it would have been wholesome if she wasn't currently scrambling your insides with three of her thick fingers.
She lapped at your folds with a certain intensity, a certain hunger as if she was starving and you were the only source of food around for miles. She pushed her fingers as deep as they could go and within seconds, you were coming undone around her. Your chest heaved up and down as you yanked your lover up so she was face to face with you before pressing your lips against her wet ones and tasting yourself in her saliva. She pulled away with a huff. “Can I try something?” She asked. You would have panicked slightly but something in her eyes comforted you before you could even attempt to overthink the situation.
“What kind of thing?”
“You'll see~”
And with that, she ran into the kitchen and hurried back with a cup of water. “What are you gonna do with that?” Korra just gave you an almost frightening look of excitement as she placed the cup down and began undressing. You raised a brow but decided to help her strip anyway. “God, So. Many. Layers.” You huffed, peeling away layer after layer of cloth like one of those Christmas present pranks. "Sorry..." She muttered in response with a small giggle and no real guilt behind her words. You were extremely relieved when you finally got to see your lover's bare skin. But before you could finish admiring her, you were pushed onto your back. The avatar began bending the water from the cup as she looked down at you with a smirk. Before you could question anything, you felt an incredibly cold and hard object press into your core.
You gasped loudly and looked down to see that Korra had bent the water into a phallic object and was currently pushing it into you as well as herself. You looked up to see her biting her lip as she felt the same sensations as you. Once both of you had met in the middle of the ice shape, she began rocking her hips slightly. You whispered out her name as she pushed all the way inside of you, leaning down to press your bare chests together. F-fuck… she whispered into your ear. The sound of her arousal sent blood rushing between your legs as you wrapped your arms and legs around her, pulling her closer.
The two of you gripped each other close as the sounds of your pleasure mixed, molding into one. Her brows furrowed as she let out small moans. Her hips grew faster, more erratic as she chased her own orgasm and soon enough she was on the cusp.
“I'm- fuck…almost there.”
“Me… me too. Don't stop”
The two of you froze in place, both meeting at the top and feeling your highs at the same time. Korra gave one final thrust before turning the ice- which had dwindled significantly in size- back into water and placed it back into the cup along with all other loose drops and puddles of the water. She collapsed onto you, chest heaving up and down as she held you close.
“F-fuck. I missed this– missed you. So. Much.” She said, punctuating each word with a soft kiss in different spots on your face. You giggled and held her close, relishing in the sensation of her soft and muscular body against yours.
“I can't believe you just fucked me with water.”
“Well, judging from the way you were moaning? I'd say you liked it.”

It’s me again, and I’ve got another ask for ya @comradekatara
And no stupid pol meme’s that I gave only a cursory glance too and stupidly screenshotted this time!
I’ve seen a few of your post (at least I think it was your’s) about LOK. So I was wondering. In regard to the main villains, who is your least favorite/most disliked?
And what would you change about their motivations and perhaps their “villainous” means to make them a more compelling and/or sympathetic character?
lol this is a pretty big ask. i mean basically every villain in lok is completely incoherent thematically, politically, ideologically. people will call amon a communist but he doesn’t actually give a shit about economics or class in any capacity. people call unalaq a theocrat but as far as im aware he isn’t exploiting people’s spiritual faith to gain power, (maybe that’s what he was doing at first, but) he literally wants to submerge the world into “darkness” for one million years for… reasons and purposes. unalaq/vaatu is by far the worst lok villain, but that’s not even saying much because it’s so patently ridiculous and cartoonish. the red lotus are actually compelling but they also love chaos for the sake of chaos (because anarchism!) and want to violently murder a teenage girl and hold a genocided people hostage to do so (despite zaheer’s supposed respect for air nomads). and kuvira is an ethnonationalist who declares herself emperor, so i guess she’s at least a somewhat coherent portrait of a real type of person who actually exists, but the fact that the fascist despot is the ONLY character who points out that republic city was built on colonized earth kingdom land is um….. not a great look?
and then side characters like tarrlok, hiroshi, varrick, queen hou-ting, suyin(???), wu(???) who aren’t really the primary villains even though in many ways they’re more ideologically coherent, are just also kind of weird for their ambiguous framing. like hou-ting is literally kidnapping airbenders and putting them in underground labor camps where they’re tortured and ruthlessly trained into forming an army, which is something that chaisee does in the yangchen novels and is regarded as utterly reprehensible and heinous for it (because it is), whereas we’re supposed to feel bad for hou-ting when she dies because murder is bad uwu. and we’re supposed to forgive hiroshi for [checks notes] attempted filicide. and varrick is just some fun wacky little guy who is a ruthlessly amoral capitalist but also he does the charleston! and isn’t him marrying his overworked, exploited assistant cute?? and not at all grossly misogynistic and horrifying???? LOL!
so i don’t think going through every villain and antagonist individually and imbuing them with depth is really a worthy use of time, since the show largely suffers from incoherence due to the fact that it isn’t cohesive at all. besides korra’s character development (which is excellent), there’s no real central idea that ties every season together. take atla instead: it’s a very linear narrative, with an established goal that is always being worked towards and once it’s ultimately completed, the show ends. lok has no idea what that central goal is. so instead of trying to fix every character, it’s better to work from the center out and first simply define that goal. the central political tension in lok is, fundamentally, a question of whether it is better to alter the status quo in various radical ways, or whether it is better to maintain the violently upheld hegemonic norm by virtue of it being the status quo (and spoiler alert, it’s the latter!). and these radical ways, whether it be the terrorist movement of a fraudulent right wing populist dictator, or the terrorist movement of a bunch of commies, is always presented as equally dangerous and in need of korra’s gaggle of cops, liberals, and capitalists to suppress. what a great show.
however, the lok that lives in my head does away with most of that, and simply focalizes the conflict between the white lotus and the red lotus as diametrically opposing forces both vying to control korra’s position in the world as avatar and reconstitute her legacy on their terms. because korra’s arc is fundamentally about learning to define her selfhood and her role in the world on her own terms, and the one commonality between every villain is that they’re trying to suppress or control her identity in some way. because it’s also, incidentally, a show primarily concerned with the value of identity politics, and doesn’t actually give a shit about any of the class struggles that underpin the show’s worldbuilding and inform so many of its primary characters. so while i’m not opposed to korra’s struggle of identity, and in fact appreciate it a lot and find it personally affirming in multiple ways, korra deserves a show that is actually worthy of her brilliance as a character.
it’s not that korra shouldn’t struggle to establish her identity on her own terms, but that the politics through which they attempt to communicate this struggle are incoherent. so i would simply reframe the conflict as one primarily between the white lotus, who are reformist liberals at best, and neoconservative reactionaries at worst. we see the best of the white lotus in atla (arguably), and the worst of the white lotus in the yangchen novels (which are fascinating and excellent and everyone should read them). xai bau is only ever mentioned in a single exposition dump (in one of the only truly great episodes of lok, i might add), but his philosophy and role in the narrative is nonetheless fascinating to me. the idea that the white lotus becomes more public facing after the war, leading to its detractors also growing more vocal, is genuinely interesting. the conflicts established between the white and red lotuses are genuinely compelling (to a point). but they never truly address how the white lotus kept korra locked away in a compound for the first 17 years of her life, they never meaningfully address the harm the white lotus has done to her and to the world.
like, of course korra couldn’t master airbending, the element of freedom, if she’s never been truly free. korra spent her entire life in a gilded cage, her role in the world and legacy defined for her by liberals who wanted her to be some kind of supercop instead of a genuine spiritual leader. it’s not korra’s fault that spirituality and harmony and meditation are difficult for her, she was literally denied those facets of herself for her entire adolescence. the white lotus constitute a microcosm of the ruthless neoliberal society korra encounters when first arriving in republic city. the white lotus are a metonym for the liberal identity politics centrist reformist vision of the world that lok uncritically presents as the ideal. in a better show, korra would question those systems, disavow them, and even perhaps attempt to dismantle them. korra would define her freedom of self on her own terms by realizing the ways in which the white lotus and their broader ideology has harmed her.
that said, the red lotus is also flawed. and i don’t just mean because they’re chaos-hungry terrorists who love to murder with impunity, but because they’re in the business of denying korra’s agency as a human being and not simply as the avatar. they want korra dead because they don’t believe in the role she embodies. and you know, they can want that for understandable political reasons without being completely evil about it, but obviously in a show as facile and shallow as lok, no they can’t. i think that korra’s brief pause in considering zaheer’s point of view should have lasted longer. i think that korra should have become disillusioned by the white lotus and the stipulations of capitalism (as early as book 1, frankly), and she should have genuinely considered joining them. and once she does eventually disavow them too, it’s not because of their evil commie politics, but because they’re also in the business of dictating her role in the world, and korra can’t stand to be boxed in by anyone, certainly not from people who claim to be in the business of dissolving borders.
so pretty much every villain in lok would fall under either the umbrella of white lotus operatives (whether direct or indirect) or red lotus (whether direct or indirect). people who want korra to be the world’s ultimate cop who upholds the systems that benefit them, or people who think that the avatar has no place in a truly just world, for (honestly) kind of valid reasons. the red lotus would be antagonists who work against korra’s arc of establishing her own freedom and agency, but the white lotus would be the “villains.” and the capitalist juggernauts who mistreat and exploit their workers (and their assistants and their daughters etc etc) would not be let off the hook so easily either. the neocolonial tensions in republic city wouldn’t be framed as an issue of the distant past. the issues of class and colonialism would be foregrounded alongside korra’s struggle to establish her identity. and then, perhaps, the narrative would finally cohere.
