My red flags for stories/shows/D&D stuff

1. The best thing you can compliment the story on is the worldbuilding

Reason: World building is nice but if it turns out the characters are boring then I don’t really care how nice the world is. A boring story isn’t going to become interesting because of its magic system. 

2. Redemptions 

Reason: Not necessarily bad but there’s been so many snapshot redemptions. So many characters are just EVIL AND CRUEL then after a pep talk are just like “oopsies did I commit genocide? So sorry owo.”

I'm playing Baldur's Gate III and made a couple serious characters, but I had to make a bard with Dark Urge. Based him off the Berrie's and Cream commercial guy.

Zenins were nothing less than Royalty in the Jujutsu world, and if one their blood was gonna get married ofcourse it has to be the event of the year! Of the decade. PERHAPS!! 

The courtyards were covered in blossoms. Each flower hand plucked, carefully chosen for this day. 

The sun was out just perfect, the breeze flew rite. But your heart grew colder every passing minute as you stood at the altar. You put on a fake smile looking at your groom in the distance. Megumi, Megumi Fushiguro, the next heir to Zenin claim. Your best friend. He had known you all his life. So when he proposed the idea of a wedding, to secure his claim to heir. It wasn't his best choice, it was rather a decision forced on him, either you or some outsider ready to claw into his life. He asked you first. You complied. You understood where he came from, you knew if anything you’d have your best friend as your partner. Love comes and goes rite? At Least that's what you thought. And Love came, just it wasn't for him. 

You swore, nothing felt the same before you held that hand. “Marry me” he said once, “Lets run away” It felt as a distant memory, “I’ll keep you safe” his words echoed in the back of your head. Til day, you regretted walking away, saying you were promised. You sacrificed the only chance you ever had to fall in love again. Megumi noticed you. You hid it from him, knowing if you told him, he'd back away, his claim would be uncertain and after everything bore, this was the last thing you prayed for. And worst- what if his grand father did something-

You were lost in your thoughts, you didn't realize megumi’s expression was changing. “Stop” he asserted loudly. “Why are you Doing this Mai?” He questioned, leaving you astounded and lost. 

“Mai answer me..” Megumi didn't care for the rising talks, as long as he was alive he had loved you, cared for you, to watch you slaughter your happiness for the sake of a promise for him, pained him. “Why didn’t you tell me?” his words pierced, “I thought we were friends, you hurt me, How did you think I’d let you do this”

A thousand thought ran across your mind, barely able to grasp reality. “Megumi- I’m- sorry. I-” You dropped the bouquet and held his hand, tears forming in your eyes as you see his angry ones. “I didn’t-” you hiccuped as your tears slid down your cheek. He put you in his brace, shushing you down, 

His grandfather, silent until nwo watching this unfold, hearing the crowd breaking into hushed gossips, finally stood up. “What the hell do you think you're doing boy?” He roared violently, He would not become the laughing stalk bec hsi grandnephew decided to act out.

“This marriage’s canceled grandfather” Megumi looked him in the eyes, tongue unwavering. 

“You dare go against and make a fool out of me uh boy? Nothing is canceled-” His hand reached to grab your hair, and put you back in your place, when an unfamiliar voice interrupted.

“Think twice before touching her you old geezer” all the heads turn to the back, to see angry short ginger. 

Noabito laughed hysterically seeing the size of the young man. This pipsqueek was going to against the zenin clan. What a Fool he thougt. Teh zenin clan circled around you, the striking flames of jujutsu firing up in the air. 

“Alrite, oldies, let's get down” CHuuya stretched his fingers, before firing up the arahabaki. 

“Chuuya no'' You shouted across, to give him a heads up, it was a little too late, the entire ground flipped inside out, as if the earth opened its bounds to hell. WHat followed the jujutsu world wasn't ready to witness in all senses. 

Megumi quickly took you by hand, “cmon now” he gripped your hand and you both ran away. 

“Stop them” Noabito screamed, barely keeping it to himself, “Not so fast” Chuyaa smirked, as he made teh gravity fall 1000 fold heavier, not giving a window to let me expand their domains. 

That was teh last thing you saw, before the scenery turned and you found yourself amidst the forest. You looked at Megumi, still plastered in anger. “I still can't believe you’d hide you loved someone else-”

You held your head low, still not able to look him in the eye. “You care about me so much you’re an idiot” he scoffed, folding his arms.

“How did you know?” You ask.

“That would be on me” You turn back to find him leaning against the tree. Dazai. Tear stream rolled down your eyes, as you yoru lips formed his name.. “Osamu..” you breathed. He smiled, his brown eyes, glassed up. “I missed you” saying this he pulled you in for a kiss. Gently holding your face, as his lips melted softly into yours. He was here, now, everything was gonna fall in place. Your heart swelled, as he rested his forehead against yours. You were home.

The writing is bad and has been from the start, they just decided to outdo their badwriting this season, even s1 wasn’t as bad as this, how the hell did alicent and rhaenyra just sneak in and out of kings landing and dragon stone with no consequences, how the hell did no one notice and hold them hostage????

Yeah my problem wasnt so much with Rhaenyra sneaking in. Because who in kings landing would believe she'd be crazy enough to do that. but rather the fact Alicent would just let her leave?? She should have called Rhaenyras bluff. No way Rhaenyra was actually going to stab her and Alicent knew that, its why she was the one who just got up and left.

Im interested to see how Alicent manages to get into Dragonstone. Im assuming she dresses up as a dragon.

Mostly het mainstream fandoms are bonkers, even more so when you put a triangle. The way sometimes the triangle veers into V poly territory or even full circle, re:feelings in canon and they still go to war and fuck over the other character is mind blowing.

I mean, an author badwriting and refusal to acknowledge they're going the poly option clearly in canon, causes people who dislike that to go in defense mode and be assholes, clinging to their OTP, despite all evidence of the OT3 which is the preferred of the author (no committal to the poly non-standing, bc they're normies writing for normies, usually).

Sadly fascinating to see all kinds of illogical posts about it.
