Batman & Deadpool Meet Up In Brand New DC/Marvel Crossover

There have been many rumors circling about a possible new crossover between the two major comic book companies, and now we have confirmation of the first of hopefully many to come. The Dark Knight and the Merc With A Mouth will meet up in two one-shots coming this fall. In September, Marvel Comics will release Deadpool/Batman #1 with DC Comics following them up in November with Batman/Deadpool #1. Might not be as crazy as it seems at first glance, after all Morrison did get their first big break in American comics with Animal Man which has a famous fourth wall break. Not to mention how much of their career is built on metastorytelling. Morrison might end up being a good fit for Deadpool! Yes of course I will check this out, chance to see the Klaus team reunited and doing this is too enticing to miss.

Meanwhile everything about Wells/Capullo screams "B-Team". Both are coming off of the weakest work of their careers in ASM and Wolverine: Revenge respectively. Is it just me or does Capullo's cover look like a massive downgrade in quality too? Not having Fco coloring him anymore has been a good learning experience for me in terms of appreciating how much the colorist contributes to what I enjoy about comic art.

Also it's a hilarious twist of fate that Mark Millar tried to gas up his Kickstarter (for yet another comic that is actually a glorified pitch for Netflixslop) by making it seem like he was involved in the DC/Marvel crossover, only to be completely overshadowed by the actual first reveal at who was involved being his old mentor turned foe.
