#Bucket Tooth System

The logical assumption is that the Kaminoans realised this and engineered them to not have milk teeth. Like to just have one set of adult teeth all their lives, which descend at the same time as baby teeth but just… never fall out.
However this is a horrible possibility because that implies that for the first five or so years of a clone’s life they just have adult sized teeth in a little kid sized head, which is quite possibly the worst thing I’ve ever thought of in my life
Like picture half a million poorly socialised 4 year olds with full sets of adult-man sized chompers. Bad bad bad
Star Wars thoughts I’m not willing to google part 1:
do the clones have baby teeth??
If so: what is done with the baby teeth???
because that’s
so many teeth
AND IT WOULD BE IN BATCHES
bATCHES OF TEETH
#And yet the alternative is that kamino had some kind of streamlined tooth disposal system#just buckets on buckets of them being sent off to the incinerators every day#knowing the Kaminoans they probably ground them down and recycled the calcium for use in ration supplements. Gross#or perhaps they figured out some kind of genetic cheat code to make the clones teeth fall out all in one go#Nope thats horrible too#sw tcw#clone troopers#tcw#questions for the void

hiii how r u!! could i please request a soonyoung bf drabble. just tooth rotting fluff, taking ur makeup off after a long day, cuddles and kisses in bed, his reaction to u wearing his clothes etc. he get possessive/jealous when he sees u laughing at someone else’s jokes. just the most bf!soonyoung ever.
hi! thank you for requesting, i hope you like it <3
pairing: soonyoung x f!reader genre: fluff word count: 1.1k warnings: none a/n: not proofread
Soonyoun was lying in bed, scrolling through his phone mindlessly, eyes nearly closing, too heavy with sleep. He wanted to wait for you, make sure you had gotten home safely at least. But he was exhausted and his desire to stay awake was little if compared to the amount of tiredness that overtook his body.
He fell into a quiet nap, the sound of whichever video he clicked on as the perfect soundtrack, when he heard the living room door open. Your exhausted sigh echoed through the apartment, all the way to the room.
Soonyoung pushed himself up against the headboard and waited for you. It took you three entire minutes to get to the room. And it was safe to say that he had never seen you more tired. Your makeup did a good job of hiding everything but he knew you. Your eyes had lost all the light they usually carried and if people were like computers then your system was crashing, beyond repair.
Soonyoung didn’t say anything and just opened his arms for you. Without even thinking you walked up to the bed, dropping your body over his and nesting your head on his chest.
“Bad week?” he asked, lips pressed to your head.
He held you tightly, just like you once told him you liked. It’s like I’m recharging.
“Yeah” you murmured, moving your head to his neck, breathing him in “I could sleep for 30 hours straight”
“Good thing neither of us works tomorrow so we can stay in bed as long as we want”
You hummed against his neck, eyes already closing.
Sleeping in, body clung to Soonyoung’s like a koala, was the perfect way to start a weekend and finish it, if you were to have it your way. The entire day your only wish had been to go home and cuddle in bed with your boyfriend. You knew that he had a difficult week so it would be good for him too.
“Babe?” he poked your rib “Don’t you want to eat or shower?”
You just shook your head. There was no strength left in your body to do anything, taking off your shoes and coat had drained the last drop of energy you still had.
“Your makeup at least? You’re going to hate yourself in the morning if you don’t take it off”
You wrapped your arms around his middle, rubbing your head on his shoulder. You just wanted to forget all about your job and your boss. And you wanted to do that in your boyfriend’s arms. He didn’t have the same plan as he moved your body to the side and stood up.
“Soonyoung” you nearly cried.
He just laughed and you heard as he went to the bathroom and moved a few of the bottles over the sink.
“Sit up”
Groaning, you refused to move even an inch.
“Why are you doing this to me?”
Soonyoung laughed again and pulled you up by the hands.
“Sit up,” he said again, doing his best to keep his voice stern.
Finally, you opened your eyes, blinking back at the light. Your boyfriend was kind enough to turn off the main light, only leaving the bedside lamp on.
“You’re so cruel today” you whined with a pout.
Again, Soonyoung just laughed as he held your face in his hands, squeaking your cheeks together.
“I’m being kind” he pouted too “Do you remember how you said that if I ever let you go to bed without a shower I would have permission to throw a bucket of water on you? You’re lucky I’m not doing that”
“I have no recollection of that”
You looked at the products in his hands and although all of them for for makeup removal, not a single one of them could be used without water.
“I can’t do it here, I need water” you pointed at the small bottles.
You sighed and pushed yourself off the bed but before your feet could touch the soft carpet, you felt Soonyoung’s arms on the back of your knees and around your back.
“Soonyoung!” his name left your lips in a squeal “What are you doing?”
He kissed your cheek as he carried you to the bathroom in silence, a small smile playing on his face.
“Did you get a haircut?” you asked, running your hand through his hair. It was shorter than it was the morning and he had an undercut.
“This happens to be my girlfriend’s favorite haircut for me”
He sat you on the sink and stood between your legs, hands on the top of your thighs.
“I think your girlfriend just happens to like you, a lot” you leaned forward and pressed your lips against his “I can do this by myself”
He hummed in agreement but still held up the bottles waiting for you to choose between one of them. You pointed and the oil and like he had seen you do many times before, Soonyoung dropped some of the oil in his hand before applying it to your face and rubbing it in circles, melting away your makeup.
You purred and closed your eyes, clinging to his waist with both arms, pulling him as close to you as possible. In return, Soonyoung just laughed.
“It’s almost like we have a cat a home” he joked and you purred again, a little louder this time “See? You can rinse it off now”
Without opening your eyes, you came down from the sink and turned around, filling your hands with water and washing your face. Soonyoung pressed his forehead to your back, hands on your hips.
“I barely saw you these past few days and we live together” he complained.
It felt like a hand was squeezing your heart. You had been working like crazy for the past month and that week was just further proof of that but it was also the most hectic one yet. You were the first one to get to the office and the last one to leave, some days past midnight. There was just way too much work and not enough people. In the midst of that, you missed Soonyoung the most. You didn’t have time to call him during your lunch break like you sometimes did, because you didn’t take a break at all, and even texting had gotten harder.
“You’re never home when I go to bed and you’re already gone by the time I wake up”
You reached for the cleansing soap and quickly washed your face before turning around to look at him.
“Everything will be back to normal now” you promised as Soonyoung started to lightly dry your face with a towel “The worst part of the projects is done and the company hired three more people, they will start working on monday”
You raised your hands to Soonyoung’s cheeks and brought him closer to you, dropping kisses all over his face, and making him laugh.
“I missed you” you whispered “My cute hamster”
He made a face and picked you up again.
“You’re just delusional with sleep now, calling me a hamster and everything. Let’s get you to bed”

I think it's funny I drew his anti version before I drew him. Anyways
Another installment in turning Undertale AU's Sonic! Welcome Fell!Sonic and his long post!!
Sonic with Scourge's personality but not his goals! He's a good jerk, peep the name! Sonic the Hedgehog! He calls his anti "Scourge" out of spite and vitriol.
A man-handling, pawning sleazeball who thinks he's both better and worse than everyone around who he both hates and cares so deeply for at the same time. He hates his shitty universe and the state it's in- constant war, bickering, drugs, traffic, depression, violence, etc etc, it's the red-skied, smoky cesspool he's live in all his life and he can't break from it so he has to fit in with it. Despite that- he actively tries to fix and protect it in valiant attempts to make it a better Hell. He's rough around the edges but he does occasionally show a good quality here and there, and while he's offensive and crude, he doesn't normally mean harm. He can be mellowed out but he still is an off-handed bully with a superiority complex- just a chill guy. It's just how EVERY Mobian acts on this Mobius. Terrible, mean, and downright awful. Even the kids. It must be a birth right or coded into their genes or something. Nature Versus Nurture...he saves to make it better, free-er. Though, he'd actively deny it- only leveraging his name as a "hero" (which he denounces) to get things- say he's not a good guy. Simple way cool loser. He knows manipulation tactics but he doesn't often employ them unless for things like "Redemption" or to con, nothing genuinely evil. He's more feral and wild with a brutal cunning in a fight and isn't opposed to getting down and dirty but he still has his own honor-system. He's always trying to be a better version of himself.
After certain events early in his vigilante career he received battle scars (a token of high respect and honor in this decadent society) and an upper hand when it came to Chaos Energy- simply a little more than the average Sonic. Nowhere near the level of his anti-counterpart, and he barely ever uses it unless he sees no choice. He doesn't know he can use Chaos Control and those of the likes without an Emerald.
His universe is under active siege from his Anti-counterpart, the desperate fight has been on and off. His Anti hates his guts because his universe has been the only one to fight back so hard like a dying animal. Fell-Sonic especially hates Anti for being a snake-in-the-grass he is and Fell-Sonic is one of the ones who Anti always drops his mask towards because Anti has already convinced his whole world that THESE are the villains and they could "better" it like he's done countless others. They actually HATE each other. Fell is secretly unnerved and creeped out by Anti and is just a tad scared of him.
He leads his own "Gang" of riff-raff called Anarchy Allegiance which he simply calls Clan Anarchy. He gives a new meaning to Anarchy as he challenges societal norms and fights for a better future. It has multiple subsections and bases with codenames such as The Revolution (The Resistance), The Revival (The Restoration), etc in order to maintain control and protection over his turf. Mob tactics are used but he mostly lords his ability to protect the innocence in exchange for some tribute. Knick-knacks, artifacts, rings, but also sweets. You could pay him a whole bucketful of sweets and he'd be like "Good enough" He's got a major sweet tooth. He's also willing to wait for his payment and when he gets impatient he usually tasks someone else to talk to them so he doesn't do something he regrets. He'll be as patient if he knows someone's in a bad sitch but he expects all of it plus interest and extra for wasting his time.
He recycles and does other things to try and improve the rotten environment around him. He loathes smoking (horrible for your health and it harms the lungs which isn't good for running) so he chooses to suck on lollies instead- he ALWAYS carries around cherry cola dum-dums. He also hates alcohol (The amount of child abuse on Mobius is CRAZY) and drug (especially specifically when in bad taste) and those of the likes. He especially hates it for his lil bro, Tails. Tails is an avid drinker and smokes despite having barely dipped his toes in tween-hood, barely past double digits. Whenever he sees Tails drinking or smoking he usually smacks whatever it is out of the foxes hand and gives a substitute. Lollies for cigs and root beer for alcohol. He's trying to get Tails to grow up better, with tolerance and understanding without a world of bad habits and self-destructive nihilism. He only wants the best for his protege.
His group- while outwardly mean- are built on true chemistry, loyalty, and understanding. He knows they would all die for each other and this substantial hope for a new world.
One without this pain and suffering.
Anyways, that's it for now on him. I will take him to digital and color him soon on popular request. I also got 2 other writing pens to ink with and one of them (gift from doctor) is the best drawing utensil I've ever used and I wish I knew the make and model...sigh.

Masterlist | Taglist Request | un-edited.
Body bruised and scraped from being thrown around with the various landscaping tools around you, your head slammed against the door as the vehicle came to a halt. You took deep breaths in and out, picking up the dead-fish smell in the air. You were near the industry sector and by the sounds of the gravel crunching beneath everyone’s feet, you were upshore.
Three slams against a metal door and it creaked open and you pushed inside, stumbling with the bag over your head and losing balance as your feet were chained together as well. Shuffling back to a stand, the men above you laughed before a bucket of ice cold water was drenched over your body making you instantly shiver.
Breathing in through your nose sharply as the bag was then torn off your head, you found yourself lazily strapped to a wooden chair- it creaked everytime you shifted your weight. Eyes blurry to the newfound light, you blinked a few times before the once blob in front of your face turned into features and a broken-toothed smile was gracing just before your lips. Their cigarette breath causes bile to rise up in your throat yet you kept a natural expression, staring between their eyes to the crooked bridge of their nose.
A cigarette was being lit to your left side, they flicked the ashes on your suit as the sparks burned against your skin. Taking a quick glance down, you tried not to frown seeing your once beige suit now a tattered mess of brown and grey with various cuts breaking the soft plaid pattern. The head man, the one to choke you in the first place, takes a step back and sits on a metal chair behind himself, taking a drag of the shared cigarette before mockingly dangling it in your face. “Want a drag, dearest?”
You make no comment, just staring off past his shoulder, silently observing your surroundings for more clues. You press your head against your shoulder, mocking a scratch behind your ear as your comms flood your eardrums once more. Samantha is crying and losing her actual shit as John raises his tone at one of the nearby officers- not allowing him to check the security footage. That makes sense as to why Samantha is currently losing it- more unnecessary work to hack into the system.
Thinking to yourself, this is more relaxing, getting to sit down and take a break, being on the receiving end of the saving than being the sole savior. You can’t help but produce a small smirk as you roll back your shoulders and lean back into the chair, spreading your legs for comfort. “You gettin’ comfortable there? Good, enjoy it while you can. God knows- I know- the work you’ll be doing after this with a body like yours.”
You chuckle, foot now dragging up his leg and positioned in his lap. “But why go through all the hassle, sir? When I could stay, just, right… here” you foot ghosts over his lower abdomen, you relish the sharp intake of breath that signals success. “Mmm, well as good as that would be for the both of us…” he takes a drag of his cigarette, finishing it off on your leg as it places a burn mark on your ankle. “...my brothers could use someone like you, a fighter, a killer of their own. Takes a special kind of fucked up to do the things you have done…” his hand now drags up your leg, fingers dancing over every cut to touch the skin of your leg as you stay still.
“...and if you remain that kind of person for em’, I can only promise rewards beyond your imagination,” he finishes with, stopping his chase of skin at your upper thighs before carrying your leg off his lap and standing. “Now before we get started, is there anything you wish to tell your newest contractor?”
“And what information would that include?” you press forward, blinking twice. “Anythin’ you are wishing to share before I force it outta ya, making both of our jobs easier.”
“Ask your men to leave and I’ll be an open book, can have a nice date about it,” you counter-offer, smile returning to match his one. With one motion of his hand, the room clears outside of the warehouse, the rusty door creaking closed to a slam. “Speak.”
“I was contracted to Greece in order to capture that royal you were after-”
“Who was your contractor then?” They lean forward, as if smelling your hair as you face forwards, tone even. “Undisclosed- manager wanted utmost privacy and I respected that, which made the job easier in the end.”
“And if the job was as easy as you said, why waste tears over a tool to be used for the bag?” They whisper into your ear, you swear to feel them smirk as a bead of sweat drips down your forehead, racing towards the muddied floors below. You wrap a leg around your chair, your hands almost free from the cheap rope they used from the gardiners truck as you access the best way to take this man to the ground and to make your escape.
“I am loyal,” you state, the one truth you have slipped today. “Well that is a blessing and a curse, we have a dilemma on our hands already with you…” His hand drifts up, resting on the back of your neck. You pray that Samantha shuts the fuck up in your ear, unknowling if he can hear her screaming or not. “...Very, very loyal it seems. I am disappointed. Seems as though you already need a lesson, a shame.”
And with that, his fist slams against the bag of your head as you fall towards the floor, finally freed. You snake your feet around his ankles, forcing him down with you and cover his mouth with one of your hands, racing to unhook your necktie as you force it around his throat, trying to buy yourself more time by muffleing his pain. He uses his body weight to roll out from under you, slamming a kick to your side as you curse out. The tie falls around his neck as he wobbles to a stand and you begin to run, hearing the doors slam open as your hand just graces the exit.
Bullets are flying around your head as you duck and weave over the various barrels in the room, looking for a window as another set of guards burst through the door you were just about to use. Quicking throwing yourself back around, you twist your arm with the motions, a series of knives falling from between your suit's fabric and directly between their eyes. Pressing your hand to your ear, “I need immediate evac, industry sector, meeting at south rally point when available.”
Glass cuts across your face as you fly out the window and roll into a run. Trees rip past and blur your surroundings as you follow the sun above you. The sounds of the sea call to you as you make a sharp turn in their direction, their shouts muffled by the ringing in your ears as you hear your shallow breathing, feel as if time is moving slowly for you once more as your body jerks forward. A dull aching feeling against your back, they managed a shot.
The sound of a boat horn slams through your consciousness as you slip down a hill, lengths over extending as you race onto a rammed road filled with cars against the coastline. Drivers honk as you race between cars in the road, policemen call after you, guns raised as well as you race to the front of the accident. A series of cars wait, driving slowly past the crash, the car nowhere to be seen but the rip in the divider separating road from sea as you shake your head before ripping over a divers door.
The woman shrieks at you scream out apology after apology, ripping the keys out from her hands before slamming on the gas and racing down the seaside. Sirens sound from behind you as you see the red and blue lights flashing in your rearview mirror as you curse out. Drifting around a corner as the radio decides to start itself in the junk of a car you managed for yourself.
You roll your eyes at the “white girl” music plays through the radio as you find yourself soaring through another seaside town, car picking up the various displays set on the small street as lights attach to your side mirrors, carrying them down the street with you like a “just-married” car.
You make a sour face at the thought, eyes saddening as look around your surroundings for directions to the nearest rallypoint, the cops in mad pursuit still behind you, some even sneaking up the road in front. A spike trap sounds, popping your wheels as sparks behind to fly, you punch open the window as the song finishes to your bumper crashing into the side of a building. You fall out the side of the car, running up the skin as your legs and lungs burn. Adrenaline causing your hands to feverishly shake as you climb up the lattice of a townhome and crash into their living space. A little boy screams at you as you hold your hands up, pleading that you do not mean to harm the small child before you race down the galley kitchen and slam into the wall, turning to find another glass door to a balcony where the next apartment appears empty.
Jumping across the balcony and onto the next, you break the glass door, and feel for the door handle on the other side. It is dark and sparsely decorated. You feel around the kitchen for a cup, taking a minute to take a sip of water from the tap before throwing the glass to the floor- trying to hide any biological evidence of yourself before looking wildly for the stairs downstairs.
You fail to hear your communications during this chase, your radio buffering in and out as you curse out to Simon's concerned voice asking for an update to your location. You finally find the stairs, emerging onto the town streets once more as you hide yourself in an alleyway. Watching as the blue uniformed men and women carry up the street. Looking over the various backdoors, you find a logo with a dress on it and softly open and close the door to what appears to be a storage room.
You shuffle through the various boxes, finding a range of formal garments and finally at the back, a box of clothes to be donated; shoes and casual wear alike, as you strip yourself of your tattered suit and force it into the bottom of the box. You press your hair down, taking out your earring- knowing that they would make you some serious cash from being pure gold as you strip off your watch with a sad wince. Note to self, no longer wear gifts on missions.
Walking back onto the street with a more casual stride, you find a pawn shop a few blocks down as your stomach gurgles and gain a few thousands dollars that you stuff into your pockets as the shopkeeper does not bat to fucks to. Clothes, Money, check and check.
You just needed food, a good drink and a car out of here. Thankfully you found a small street-side vendor as you ordered yourself an espresso shot and breakfast sandwich as your mouth salivated at the sight of it. Humming out contently at the taste of it as you walked back down to the seaside to examine your destruction- stealing a hat off a rack as you walked down the streets. The fedora covered your features as you pressed your head down, taking another sip of your drink while eyeing around for a phone.
A tourist couple was just about to pay for a bill- perfect. “Excuse me,” you smiled brightly at the two of them, “Is there anything we can help you with?” The woman asked kindly, her charming posh british accent relaxing your features. “Yes, would you mind if I made a quick call to my spouse on the phone- I can’t seem to find them down here.”
“Ah, no problem dear! Here you are, take as much time as you need, we are just finishing up here.”
“Thank you so much!” You flash another smile back, turning your back as it drops just as quickly, your fingers fly across the digits as two rings pass and Kyle's voice sounds in your ear. “Who is this?”
“Oh Kyle darling,” you fake a loving tone, breathing out an exaggerated sigh of relief as your eyes scan the streets. “I can’t seem to find you anywhere, see I am waiting at…” you look up to see the restaurant's name. “... Lola’s, where are you currently?”
You humm to every word he speaks, nodding your head lightly as you grip the phone, smiling at an officer that passes you by with a tip of their hat. “The team and I are about thirty minutes out from your location, are you able to keep this phone?”
“No, sorry dear, I do not see you, ummm, is there a place we could meet up between the both of us?”
“I am dear now?” Kyle chuckles out, “What happened to darling?” you roll your eyes, coughing for him to cut the crap. “Walk 10 minutes east through the alleyways till you see Pearl Bar and Shop, silver car.”
“Alright! Heading over now, see you in a few sweetheart!” and you end the call, sending a thanks to the couple before making your way back into the town core. Various scooters race past you in bright colours, kids kick their soccer balls around the fountain as mothers sit on its ledge, snapping pictures happily. You smile sadly at the sight, your eyes drifting back to the sea, to Whitby, as a cold breeze snaps against your skin as you stumble from the pressure of its ghast and slide back into the alleyways- towards the meet point.
--
“You look like shit,” Soap comments ever-so-kindly with a chuckle before offering you a sip of beer as you sit at the back of the plane on your way back to headquarters. “Well you kill fifteen guys, one of them your potential spouse, get kidnapped, traumatize a child and then sit on a plane with four men for the next few hours.”
“Well when you put it like that…” you shove his shoulder, walking further up the plane and check up on Simon in the cockpit. “How much longer we got?” you groan out, pressing your head against the doorway as Ghost takes a quick glance back at you, setting the plane to autopilot. “You holding up alright, Handler?” Not answering your question as you send him a glare.
“What do you all fuckin’ think- you all seem to high and jolly with this shit-”
“And you appear like it's not affecting you all that much-”
“WELL WHEN ELSE HAVE YOU SEEN ME A DISHEVELLED MESS IN A FEDORA AND SANDALS?” you scream out, taking another deep sink of your drink, sliding against the wall and to the floor as Gaz unbuckles himself from his seat to kneel in front of you. “I am sorry you have had to go through these things, Dee…” you shake your head at his words.
“No you all don’t understand-”
“No, we do Daniels, and here's the thing. It only gets more fucked up from here on out, you lose the ones you love, you hate yourself for it, you want to fucking kill them yourself for making you feel guilty, kill everyone, kill yourself. We all wanna do it, we all have people we are fighting for- livin’ and dead but here's the thing. Its a job at the end of the day, no matter how fucked up it is, no matter how much we cry and bitch about it- we do our job so that other’s hands stay clean,” John states, turning around from the other piloting seat as he now leans against the doorframe, looking down at you.
You stay quiet absorbing his words as he continues to speak, “we will mourn the loss, he was a good man- a great man to all the good he did for others but he wouldn’t want you this way. Not even right after his death- he always cheered on your fight. Now the decision is up to you, are you staying to fight or are you gonna wallow and retire?”
You nod your head along before slamming your head back against the metal wall, needing the coldness to ease the tension in your muscles. “I’m gonna fight,” you speak in a soft tone- still trying to convince yourself of the idea. “... thank you, John. You’re the first person to not sugar coat my losses… needed to hear it.”
John hums out, leaving down to give your shoulder a squeeze in an awkward side hug before taking control of the plane once more as Simon moves to take a nap at the back of the plane. “Want another beer?” Johnny yells as Simon throws a pillow in his face. You press your hand into a thumbs up, leaning so the signal is visible from down the hall as the glass bottle rolls to your feet as you and Gaz take sips while in a staring contest with one another.

12:00 PM | Spring | Eglinton Funeral Home and Cemetery
You are severely drunk at Whitby's funeral, his parents stand to the side, unknowing to who you and your entourage was that stand at the back underneath a willow tree whose branches drift off towards the sun's rays. 141 and you are dressed to the tens in three-piece suits, pure black accents - you all are shadows of yourselves. Watching as the family and friends walk away you step forwards and stand in front of the open casket, the first thing you notice is his missing glasses. Fixing a hair on his rested head your fingers shake over his cheek before grasping his hand one last time. To your surprise when you unravel it, a diamond ring falls out into your palm as you chuckle back a sob and place it into his suit pocket- right above his heart.
You bow your head, whispering a prayer before taking one last look and finally turn your back on the past. You stumble in your shoes over the uneven pavement stones towards the event hall where ushed cries and somber music play with trays of fresh fruit displayed against the back wall. You blow your nose into your handkerchief before guzzling down a glass of water as Gaz pats your back reassuringly when a family member walks by, glaring at your group. They all didn’t know the shit you both got up to together, how close you were- close to so much more…
Shaking your head, John came back with a plate of fruit for you all to pick at as Whitby’s will is read aloud. You need to sit as you fumble with the buttons of your suit, suddenly feeling too hot as the rest of your crew stands around to shield you from the curious stares of the fellow funeral goers. “Friends, Family, and those connected to Sir Wyatt Whitby. We gather here today to remember a man of great strength, who served his country and had a great sense of humor.”
A series of posh chuckles sound around the room as you feel yourself mentally drifting further and further away from this moment. You would have never fit in with his family, if you ever were to tell them of the danger you put their son into… you probably wouldn’t be breathing any longer… and with that thought, there was a deep part of you that believed you deserved such treatment from your more recent history.
--
In the few months leading up to the funeral, Whitby’s body had been frozen and preserved so that the headquarters could stage a more believable death to the agent for his remaining family and outside friends. This violently disgusted you, having to see him every time you went to check biological evidence with the scientists in the west wing. Yet John’s words were concrete, pouding in your skull, “fight like he would want you to…” and so you did, and rather brutally at that.
You forced yourself back onto the field, demanding it from upper management- refusing promotion after promotion as Samantha became your new Handler in this turn of events. You often wore dark blue navy suits to hide the blood that drenched every part of the fabric as you shot and hacked away at various bodies on your missions. No witnesses to be left between you and the goal. You will never forget the fearful eyes of that one politician as you gripped their shoulder into the helicopter, your bloody hand staining their crisp white shirt and some of it began to drip into your eye from your hair yet you could not care.
Management was thoroughly satisfied with your independent work- you were the most requested contractor. Money was following in- so much so that you lost reasons to spend it, letting the stacks build under your floorboards and in your jacket pockets before you were floating between bodies, drugs, and the bottom of empty bottles with glasses smashed against dust on the bartop.
You were far gone, everyone at headquarters joked that you had taken form to a rockstar as you flipped them the bird. Sitting at your desk as you choked down a coffee and pain medication, your head still pounding in rhythm to last night's DJ as you swirled around your desk chair, looking up at the ceiling as if you were dancing.
Laswell had called you endlessly, begging for you to reply after every night so she knew you made it home alright, that not another one of her close friends was gone in this line of work. You Stopped replying, 141 never showed up for their last mission, and when you looked at yourself in the mirror- you were as good as dead. Severe bags under your eyes, sex hair was your new hairstyle as lipstick stained every shirt you wore- matching the deep reds of your suits. You were fighting to keep yourself alive, is this what Whitby would want? You chuckle darkly to yourself, calling out to the new secretary that you would be taking your break at the storefront as you lit a cigarette, tapping the embers to the street as your ankle burned in memory.
You leaned against the bright building, blowing the smoke to meet the clouds above as you savoured the bitter taste in your lungs. Your throat burned for more drink, your eyes dry but when a shadow overtook the sun, you opened your eyes- surprised to find them closed and saw a masked-face man tilting his head down at you. “Hello Simon, come to tell me off?” you press, throwing your cigarette to the ground and stopping it down with your boot.
“No. But I am here for our last mission.”
You humm out, trying to rack your tired mind as to when you have received a new debrief. “Fill me in them,” you state, feeling around your suit for another distraction before a gloved hand grips your wrist gently, pulling it out of your suit jacket and down to your side. They do not let go, just looking over your shoulder before leading you back inside the building where Laswell waits, leaning against the counter as she speaks to Samantha. Gaz views the various ties in the display cabinet as Johnny forces himself not to touch the various new products in the windowsill. John observes everyone from the front door and you can’t help the heartache that bellows in your stomach to the scene before you- so reminiscent of your first meeting together.
Laswell runs over, pulling you into a hug as her nose scrunches up at the bruises against your throat and the cigarette breath you breathe. You pat her back stiffly before she pulls away, wiping away a few tears as you lean against the stair railing that leads to the supplies room upstairs. Simon stands still behind you, giving Samantha a nod as she turns back around the counter and disappears into the back.
John walks slowly up to you, replacing Kate as he frowns at the sight of you. You wince at his features scrutinizing your every decision that leads to now before looking down at your boots, unable to meet him in the eyes any longer to the guilt that consumes your being. “I would say it's good to see you again, but I was worried you would be something like this when we got called back-”
“Thanks John, just what I wanted to hear…” you interrupt sarcastically, moving around the man to hug Gaz and Soap in greeting before sitting on top of the counter- right beside the till. Laswell leans against the wood beside you, looking through the various emails on her phone as you start to tap your nails against the treated wood.
“... I fought, long and hard I hope you all know. But now… now I think- I don't actually think,” you laugh to yourself as Gaz winces, looking towards his Captain who had yet to drop his attention from you. John walks up to you once more, holding up your chin so that your eyes meet. You cast him a cheesy fake smile as he hums out, “I’m sorry…”
“What for?” you raise a brow, not clicking in his somber tone as Laswell stares sadly into the side of your head- thinking that you are unknowing.
“For not showing you what to fight for. It's one thing to say something, another to not follow through,” John finishes speaking, dropping his touch as you hold your head up more clearly as you look around the room. “Not your fault, everyone!” you announce, clapping your hands together as you move to stand and walk around the counter, trying to move back to headquarters- brushing off the words. “Sorry for making you all come back here, I’m still here, no need for worry or anything…”
“But that's just the thing,” Soap comments as you snap your head back to face him. “We are staying here for our next mission.”
“Then what is this fucking mission?” you stress back out, pinching the bridge of your nose as the nicotine has started to wear off.
“You,” Gaz states simply, throwing a tie your way with a smile.
“Now it's time to get to work,” Laswell announces, shoving you through the door as you begin to protest and that's how you found yourself here, at this funeral with a bunch of strangers unknowing to his actual death and task force 141.
--
Your attention snaps back to the will presenter at the sound of your name, “And to my dearest-Dee, thank you for teaching me that the present is enough of a gift that you need not worry about the past or future. I love you darling, and maybe one day we will dance together again but for now- it's time you took some lessons and find a new partner, I will be waiting to see all your new moves and maybe then you will finally tell me your first name.”
You burst out laughing, it echoes throughout the hall, cutting through every tear, sob, and face filled with sorrows. Your shoulders bend up and down rapidly as you clench at your stomach, folding yourself in half as you almost fall off your chair. Soap was not there to place a hand to your shoulder to halt any further movements. You look up to the ceiling, watching as the sun casts through the skylights above as you blink away your tears, trying to even out your breathing while fanning your cheeks with your hands as the reading presumes once more and you make your way outside.

J.1.3 Why are anarchists against reformism?
Firstly, it must be pointed out that the struggle for reforms within capitalism is not the same as reformism. Reformism is the idea that reforms within capitalism are enough in themselves and attempts to change the system are impossible (and not desirable). As such all anarchists are against this form of reformism — we think that the system can be (and should be) changed and until that happens any reforms, no matter how essential, will not get to the root of social problems.
In addition, particularly in the old social democratic labour movement, reformism also meant the belief that social reforms could be used to transform capitalism into socialism. In this sense, only Individualist anarchists and Mutualists can be considered reformist as they think their system of mutual banking can reform capitalism into a free system. However, in contrast to Social Democracy, such anarchists think that such reforms cannot come about via government action, but only by people creating their own alternatives and solutions by their own actions:
“But experience testifies and philosophy demonstrates, contrary to that prejudice, that any revolution, to be effective, must be spontaneous and emanate, not from the heads of the authorities but from the bowels of the people: that government is reactionary rather than revolutionary: that it could not have any expertise in revolutions, given that society, to which that secret is alone revealed, does not show itself through legislative decree but rather through the spontaneity of its manifestations: that, ultimately, the only connection between government and labour is that labour, in organising itself, has the abrogation of government as its mission.” [Proudhon, No Gods, No Master, vol. 1, p. 52]
So, anarchists oppose reformism because it takes the steam out of revolutionary movements by providing easy, decidedly short-term “solutions” to deep social problems. In this way, reformists can present the public with they’ve done and say “look, all is better now. The system worked.” Trouble is that over time, the problems will only continue to grow because the reforms did not tackle them in the first place. To use Alexander Berkman’s excellent analogy:
“If you should carry out [the reformers’] ideas in your personal life, you would not have a rotten tooth that aches pulled out all at once. You would have it pulled out a little to-day, some more next week, for several months or years, and by then you would be ready to pull it out altogether, so it should not hurt so much. That is the logic of the reformer. Don’t be ‘too hasty,’ don’t pull a bad tooth out all at once.” [What is Anarchism?, p. 64]
Rather than seek to change the root cause of the problems (namely in a hierarchical, oppressive and exploitative system), reformists try to make the symptoms better. In the words of Berkman again:
“Suppose a pipe burst in your house. You can put a bucket under the break to catch the escaping water. You can keep on putting buckets there, but as long as you do not mend the broken pipe, the leakage will continue, no matter how much you may swear about it … until you repair the broken social pipe.” [Op. Cit., pp. 67–8]
What reformism fails to do is fix the underlying root causes of the real problems society faces. Therefore, reformists try to pass laws which reduce the level of pollution rather than work to end a system in which it makes economic sense to pollute. Or they pass laws to improve working conditions and safety while failing to get rid of the wage slavery which creates the bosses whose interests are served by them ignoring those laws and regulations. The list is endless. Ultimately, reformism fails because reformists “believe in good faith that it is possible to eliminate the existing social evils by recognising and respecting, in practice if not in theory, the basic political and economic institutions which are the cause of, as well as the prop that supports these evils.” [Malatesta, Errico Malatesta: His Life and Ideas, p. 82]
Revolutionaries, in contrast to reformists, fight both symptoms and the root causes. They recognise that as long as the cause of the evil remains, any attempts to fight the symptoms, however necessary, will never get to the root of the problem. There is no doubt that we have to fight the symptoms, however revolutionaries recognise that this struggle is not an end in itself and should be considered purely as a means of increasing working class strength and social power within society until such time as capitalism and the state (i.e. the root causes of most problems) can be abolished.
Reformists also tend to objectify the people whom they are “helping”: they envision them as helpless, formless masses who need the wisdom and guidance of the “best and the brightest” to lead them to the Promised Land. Reformists mean well, but this is altruism borne of ignorance, which is destructive over the long run. Freedom cannot be given and so any attempt to impose reforms from above cannot help but ensure that people are treated as children, incapable of making their own decisions and, ultimately, dependent on bureaucrats to govern them. This can be seen from public housing. As Colin Ward argues, the “whole tragedy of publicly provided non-profit housing for rent and the evolution of this form of tenure in Britain is that the local authorities have simply taken over, though less flexibly, the role of the landlord, together with all the dependency and resentment that it engenders.” [Housing: An Anarchist Approach, p. 184] This feature of reformism was skilfully used by the right-wing to undermine publicly supported housing and other aspects of the welfare state. The reformist social-democrats reaped what they had sown.
Reformism often amounts to little more than an altruistic contempt for the masses, who are considered as little more than victims who need to be provided for by state. The idea that we may have our own visions of what we want is ignored and replaced by the vision of the reformists who enact legislation for us and make “reforms” from the top-down. Little wonder such reforms can be counter-productive — they cannot grasp the complexity of life and the needs of those subject to them. Reformists effectively say, “don’t do anything, we’ll do it for you.” You can see why anarchists would loathe this sentiment; anarchists are the consummate do-it-yourselfers, and there’s nothing reformists hate more than people who can take care of themselves, who will not let them “help” them.
Reformists may mean well, but they do not grasp the larger picture — by focusing exclusively on narrow aspects of a problem, they choose to believe that is the whole problem. In this wilfully narrow examination of pressing social ills, reformists are, more often than not, counter-productive. The disaster of the urban rebuilding projects in the United States (and similar projects in Britain which moved inter-city working class communities into edge of town developments during the 1950s and 1960s) are an example of reformism at work: upset at the growing slums, reformists supported projects that destroyed the ghettos and built brand-new housing for working class people to live in. They looked nice (initially), but they did nothing to address the problem of poverty and indeed created more problems by breaking up communities and neighbourhoods.
Logically, it makes no sense. Why dance around a problem when you can attack it directly? Reformists dilute social movements, softening and weakening them over time. The AFL-CIO labour unions in the USA, like the ones in Western Europe, killed the labour movement by narrowing and channelling labour activity and taking power from the workers themselves, where it belongs, and placing it the hands of a bureaucracy. The British Labour Party, after over 100 years of reformist practice, has done little more than manage capitalism, seen most of its reforms undermined by right-wing governments (and by the following Labour governments!) and the creation of a leadership of the party (in the shape of New Labour) which was in most ways as right-wing as the Conservative Party (if not more so, as shown once they were in power). Bakunin would not have been surprised.
Also, it is funny to hear left-wing “revolutionaries” and “radicals” put forward the reformist line that the capitalist state can help working people (indeed be used to abolish itself!). Despite the fact that leftists blame the state and capitalism for most of the problems we face, they usually turn to the capitalist state to remedy the situation, not by leaving people alone, but by becoming more involved in people’s lives. They support government housing, government jobs, welfare, government-funded and regulated child care, government-funded drug “treatment,” and other government-centred programmes and activities. If a capitalist (and racist/sexist/authoritarian) government is the problem, how can it be depended upon to change things to the benefit of working class people or other oppressed sections of the population? Surely any reforms passed by the state will not solve the problem? As Malatesta suggested:
“Governments and the privileged classes are naturally always guided by instincts of self-preservation, of consolidation and the development of their powers and privileges; and when they consent to reforms it is either because they consider that they will serve their ends or because they do not feel strong enough to resist, and give in, fearing what might otherwise be a worse alternative.” [Op. Cit., p. 81]
Therefore, reforms gained by direct action are of a different quality and nature than those passed by reformist politicians — these latter will only serve the interests of the ruling class as they do not threaten their privileges while the former have the potential for real change.
This is not to say that Anarchists oppose all state-based reforms nor that we join with the right in seeking to destroy them (or, for that matter, with “left” politicians in seeking to “reform” them, i.e., reduce them). Without a popular social movement creating alternatives to state welfare, so-called “reform” by the state almost always means attacks on the most vulnerable elements in society in the interests of capital. As anarchists are against both state and capitalism, we can oppose such reforms without contradiction while, at the same time, arguing that welfare for the rich should be abolished long before welfare for the many is even thought about. See section J.5.15 for more discussion on the welfare state and anarchist perspectives on it.
Instead of encouraging working class people to organise themselves and create their own alternatives and solutions to their problem (which can supplement, and ultimately replace, whatever welfare state activity which is actually useful), reformists and other radicals urge people to get the state to act for them. However, the state is not the community and so whatever the state does for people you can be sure it will be in its interests, not theirs. As Kropotkin put it:
“We maintain that the State organisation, having been the force to which the minorities resorted for establishing and organising their power over the masses, cannot be the force which will serve to destroy these privileges … the economic and political liberation of man will have to create new forms for its expression in life, instead of those established by the State. “Consequently, the chief aim of Anarchism is to awaken those constructive powers of the labouring masses of the people which at all great moments of history came forward to accomplish the necessary changes … “This is also why the Anarchists refuse to accept the functions of legislators or servants of the State. We know that the social revolution will not be accomplished by means of laws. Laws only follow the accomplished facts … a law remains a dead letter so long as there are not on the spot the living forces required for making of the tendencies expressed in the law an accomplished fact. “On the other hand … the Anarchists have always advised taking an active part in those workers’ organisations which carry on the direct struggle of Labour against Capital and its protector, — the State. “Such a struggle … better than any other indirect means, permits the worker to obtain some temporary improvements in the present conditions of work [and life in general], while it opens his [or her] eyes to the evil that is done by Capitalism and the State that supports it, and wakes up his [or her] thoughts concerning the possibility of organising consumption, production, and exchange without the intervention of the capitalist and the State.” [Environment and Evolution, pp. 82–3]
Therefore, while seeking reforms, anarchists are against reformism and reformists. Reforms are not seen as an end in themselves but rather a means of changing society from the bottom-up and a step in that direction:
“Each step towards economic freedom, each victory won over Capitalism will be at the same time a step towards political liberty — towards liberation from the yoke of the State … And each step towards taking from the State any one of its powers and attributes will be helping the masses to win a victory over Capitalism.” [Kropotkin, Op. Cit., p. 95]
However, no matter what, anarchists “will never recognise the institutions; we will take or win all possible reforms with the same spirit that one tears occupied territory from the enemy’s grasp in order to keep advancing, and we will always remain enemies of every government.” Therefore, it is “not true to say” that anarchists “are systematically opposed to improvements, to reforms. They oppose the reformists on the one hand because their methods are less effective for securing reforms from government and employers, who only give in through fear, and because very often the reforms they prefer are those which not only bring doubtful immediate benefits, but also serve to consolidate the existing regime and to give the workers a vested interest in its continued existence.” [Malatesta, Op. Cit., p. 81 and p. 83]
Only working class people, by our own actions and organisations, getting the state and capital out of the way can produce an improvement in our lives, indeed it is the only thing that will lead to real changes for the better. Encouraging people to rely on themselves instead of the state or capital can lead to self-sufficient, independent, and, hopefully, more rebellious people. Working class people, despite having fewer options in a number of areas in our lives, due both to hierarchy and restrictive laws, still are capable of making choices about our actions, organising our own lives and are responsible for the consequences of our decisions. We are also more than able to determine what is and is not a good reform to existing institutions and do not need politicians informing us what is in our best interests (particularly when it is the right seeking to abolish those parts of the state not geared purely to defending property). To think otherwise is to infantilise us, to consider us less fully human than other people and reproduce the classic capitalist vision of working class people as means of production, to be used, abused, and discarded as required. Such thinking lays the basis for paternalistic interventions in our lives by the state, ensuring our continued dependence and inequality — and the continued existence of capitalism and the state. Ultimately, there are two options:
“The oppressed either ask for and welcome improvements as a benefit graciously conceded, recognise the legitimacy of the power which is over them, and so do more harm than good by helping to slow down, or divert . .. the processes of emancipation. Or instead they demand and impose improvements by their action, and welcome them as partial victories over the class enemy, using them as a spur to greater achievements, and thus a valid help and a preparation to the total overthrow of privilege, that is, for the revolution.” [Malatesta, Op. Cit., p. 81]
Reformism encourages the first attitude within people and so ensures the impoverishment of the human spirit. Anarchism encourages the second attitude and so ensures the enrichment of humanity and the possibility of meaningful change. Why think that ordinary people cannot arrange their lives for themselves as well as Government people can arrange it not for themselves but for others?

Mastering Plumbing Emergencies: 8 Essential Tips for Homeowners
Plumbing emergencies can happen anytime, even during the most peaceful and quiet days at home. And when that happens, pressure and panic can come rushing down. Many things can occur when a plumbing issue emerges, so ensure you and your loved ones are ready. To keep you prepared in this kind of situation, with the help of a professional plumber Newcastle, here are some tips you might want to apply:
Stay Calm
Before doing anything, ensure that you are calm. Being in a state of panic will not take you to places because you cannot think straight and you do not have enough energy to process and assess the situation. So, before taking any step, calm yourself then think of what you should do.
Shut Off the Water
Once you are ready to do anything, you can start by shutting off the water. Doing this can prevent further leaks and pipe bursts from causing more damage to your home. It is easy to do because the only thing you need to find is the shut-off valve then turn it off. This tip is one of the basics you should never forget.
Know Your Plumbing
Since there is a need for shutting off the water, it is also good to take note that you must know and be familiar with your plumbing system. There is a layout you can study, telling all the parts and their purposes. The shut-off valve is just one of the many things you need to learn.
Keep Emergency Numbers Handy
Even if you are knowledgeable enough when it comes to your plumbing system, keeping emergency numbers handy is still necessary. There are plumbing emergencies that need to be checked by a professional, so do not push for DIY repair or replacement when that happens. Look for local plumbers and get their contact information for it to be readily available during need.
Use Plungers and Drain Snakes
Using plungers and drain snakes must also be considered to prevent damaging the plumbing system. You will see many of these two in the market, and they are easy to recognise. However, you can only use these two during minor clogs. If the situation is way worse than you imagined, call for professional plumbers immediately.
Have Basic Tools
Aside from plungers and drain snakes, there are other basic plumbing tools you should have at home to ensure you have everything you need when something happens. Here are some of them:
Adjustable Wrench - if you need something to tighten or loosen the nuts and bolts, this tool is the one you need. It works on pipes, fittings, and different plumbing components. It is easy to recognise because of its smooth jaws that are safe for surfaces.
Pipe Wrench - there are other kinds of wrench aside from the adjustable one, and pipe wrench is one of the examples. It looks similar to an adjustable wrench, but this one has serrated jaws. This tool is used for gripping and turning pipes because it has a strong grip that could prevent slipping.
Hacksaw - if you need a tool that has a fine-tooth blade, then a hacksaw might be what you are looking for. But even if the blade is smooth and fine, it can cut through pipes, bolts, and various plumbing fixtures that are made of metal.
Bucket and Rags - cleaning spills and leaks are not easy, so having some basic tools can help with the process. Buckets and rags are some of the handy essentials you can have. Use the buckets for catching drips, then have the rags for cleaning.
Turn Off Appliances
Appliances that could be affected by plumbing emergencies include dishwashers and washing machines. So if you have any of these in your home, do not forget to turn them off. Keeping them turned on during the emergency can cause damage to their machine.
Clear the Area
Before the plumbers arrive, ensure to clear the area and do not let any obstacles and hazards be in their way. This way, accidents can be prevented and the professionals can work better.
No one wants to experience plumbing emergencies, but they can happen. But even if you do not expect them, these tips can help you be ready and aware of the things you should do. Minimise the stress and damage that will happen by understanding the situation and knowing who to call.

Chain Conveyor Manufacturer In India
Chain Conveyor Manufacturer In India
Chain conveyors play a pivotal role in streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency. Among the critical components of conveyor systems, conveyor chains stand out as the workhorses responsible for transferring motion and power to move materials along the conveyor line. However, not all conveyor chains are created equal. In fact, there exists a diverse array of conveyor chain types, each tailored to specific applications and environments. Let's delve into the world of conveyor chains to understand their variations and functionalities.
Roller Chains:
Roller chains are perhaps the most common type of conveyor chains, featuring cylindrical rollers that engage with the sprocket teeth to facilitate smooth movement. They are widely used in various industries such as automotive, manufacturing, and food processing due to their durability, high load-carrying capacity, and ease of maintenance. Roller chains come in different configurations including single, double, and triple strand designs to accommodate different load requirements.
Silent Chains:
Silent chains, also known as inverted tooth chains or silent chain drives, are characterized by their unique design featuring tooth-shaped links that interlock with one another. These chains offer quieter operation compared to traditional roller chains, making them suitable for applications where noise reduction is essential, such as in the automotive industry for timing drives.
Leaf Chains:
Leaf chains, named for their leaf-shaped plates, are commonly used in forklifts, hoists, and other lifting applications. They are known for their high tensile strength and resistance to shock loads, making them ideal for heavy-duty tasks. Leaf chains typically feature link plates with holes for attaching various attachments or load-bearing components.
Engineering Steel Chains:
Engineered steel chains are designed for heavy-duty applications that demand exceptional strength and reliability. These chains are constructed using high-grade alloy steels and undergo precise manufacturing processes to ensure superior performance in harsh operating conditions. They are commonly utilized in industries such as mining, forestry, and construction.
Plastic Chains:
Plastic chains, made from high-quality thermoplastics such as acetal and nylon, offer advantages such as corrosion resistance, low friction, and lightweight construction. They find applications in industries where cleanliness is crucial, such as in food processing and pharmaceuticals. Plastic chains are also favored for their ability to operate in wet or harsh environments without the need for lubrication.
Attachment Chains:
Attachment chains are specialized conveyor chains that feature extended or modified link plates to accommodate various attachments or fixtures. These attachments may include flights, cleats, or buckets, allowing the chain to convey specific types of materials or products. Attachment chains are widely used in industries such as agriculture, packaging, and bulk material handling.
Agricultural Chains:
Agricultural chains are designed specifically for farming equipment and machinery such as harvesters, combines, and tractors. These chains are engineered to withstand the rigors of agricultural operations, including exposure to dirt, debris, and extreme weather conditions. Agricultural chains may feature corrosion-resistant coatings and specialized lubrication to prolong their service life.
In conclusion, the selection of the right conveyor chain type is crucial for ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and longevity of conveyor systems across various industries. By understanding the unique characteristics and applications of different conveyor chain types, businesses can make informed decisions to meet their specific material handling equipment manufacturers' requirements. Whether it's transporting goods in a manufacturing facility or harvesting crops on a farm, the right conveyor chain plays a pivotal role in keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Backhoe Heavy Construction Equipment – Its Uses

What are the used of backhoe heavy construction equipment? The backhoe, often known as the swiss army knife of heavy equipment, is ideal for all types of excavation and digging jobs, with one end used to dig up soil and the other used to carry it around. It’s the machine that can handle any task. It’s a common piece of machinery on construction sites.
The Backhoe’s Different Attachments
Hydraulic power attachments can be added to the backhoe. This enables the machine to perform duties other than lifting and excavating.
Breakers and hammers are the most typical backhoe attachments used by contractors. They give the operator the ability to break up rocky soils, asphalt, and concrete with ease. The tiger tooth attachment is useful for breaking through frost or harder soil, making the backhoe a useful tool, especially in colder climates.
Attachments in High Demand
Thumbs-up buckets
Hammers
Couplers
Compactors
Rippers
Street sweepers and brooms
Snowplows and snow shovels are two types of snow removal equipment.
Augers
Backhoe manufacturers are people who make backhoes.
Backhoe loader manufacturers can be found in both the United States and Europe. Backhoe loader manufacturers and models are discussed in the following section.
Caterpillar
C. L. Best Tractor Company and Holt Manufacturing Company merged to form Caterpillar (CAT) in 1925. Caterpillar is named after Benjamin Holt, who invented the continuous-tracked system. He dubbed the track system a “caterpillar” since it allowed the machine to creep around the ground. The name Caterpillar accompanied Holt when he joined the C.L. Best Tractor Co.
Backhoes and specialized attachments are manufactured by Caterpillar to replace both the hoe and the loader. The backhoe can be equipped with soil excavation buckets, coral buckets, ditch cleaning buckets, and rock buckets. In addition to backhoe loaders, CAT manufactures rakes, snowplows, angle blades, asphalt cutters, and material handlers.
The CAT 450 is equipped with a 131 horsepower engine, an innovative hydraulic system, and a CAT C4.4 ACERT engine. The CAT 415F2 and 415F2 IL are on the other extreme of the range. The engine in these two variants produces 68 horsepower. The 415F2 IL has a lower maximum operating weight than the previous model, but they are nearly identical in almost every other manner.
John Deere
In 1837, John Deere founded the John Deere Company, which began with the invention of the steel plow. Since then, John Deere has become one of the most well-known machinery brands.
Backhoes are currently available from John Deere in seven different models. The 710L is their largest backhoe, with a 148 horsepower engine turning at 2,240 rpm and a maximum operational weight of 11,607 kg (25,588 lbs). The 310L EP backhoe is John Deere’s smallest backhoe. This equipment has a peak operational weight of 6,270 kg (13,822 lbs), powershift gearbox, and a dipper stick dig depth of 4.3 m with 69 horsepower at 2,010 rpm (14 ft 1 in).
JCB
JCB was the first company to build a backhoe, having been founded in 1945 by Joseph Cyril Bamford. JCB has developed to become the world’s largest backhoe maker and producer, with 22 plants spread across four continents. Their products are sold in over 150 countries. Every year, JCB sells more backhoes worldwide than all other manufacturers combined.
The 3CX 15 Super Backhoe, with a 109 hp engine and a bucket breakout force of 12,603 lb / ft, is JCB’s most popular loader. The 3CX Compact Backhoe Loader, 3CX Backhoe Loader, and 4CX-15 Super Backhoe Loader are some of their other models.
Operation of a Backhoe Can Be Dangerous
Operating a backhoe, like any other piece of heavy equipment, can provide a number of risks and perils. Always operate the equipment only after having sufficient training, and never use a backhoe – or any other type of equipment – unless it is safe to do so.
Working too close to a cliff or on steep or uneven ground are the two most common causes of backhoe and backhoe operator accidents. Take the planning step seriously, and always study site plans, do hazard surveys, and circle check equipment before starting to work.
Other dangers include…
Raising the bucket to an excessively high level. This is especially dangerous if the equipment is on shaky ground since it may lead it to tumble over.
Working on a steep incline When working on a steep slope, be cautious because they can overturn or tumble over.
Not fastening your seatbelt. Falling out of the cab can endanger the machine, the operator, and people in the vicinity. Always fasten your seatbelt.
The act of striking an object. Be careful of people, buildings, trees, and other things that may be near the equipment, especially when operating on difficult terrain.
A burden that is descending. Be aware of those around the bucket when lifting or shifting goods. A worker can be injured by falling dirt, debris, or material.
By prioritizing safety and taking the time to follow procedures, all workers will be able to return home safely at the end of the day.
Practices for Using Backhoes in a Safe and Effective Manner
Here are a few easy methods to keep safe:
Always fasten your seatbelt.
Never use the equipment without first lowering the stabilizers.
Never exceed the machine’s maximum operational weight.
When transporting loads, keep them low and near to the ground.
When transferring loads or materials, keep visibility in mind.
Before moving, always check for blind spots.
Never lift or transport anyone with a bucket.
On-site driving speeds should not exceed 5 mph (approximately 8 kph)
The Backhoe’s Evolution
The utilization of mini-excavators and skid steers has reduced the demand for backhoe loaders nowadays. Contractors all over the world still appreciate them for their versatility and ability to execute a variety of chores well.
The first backhoe was introduced when the hydraulic system was established, and Vaino J Holopainen and Roy E Handy, Jr. invented the first backhoe swing frame in July 1947. One year later, it was copyrighted, and the two men joined forces to become Wain-Roy. The swing frame was a game-changer because it allowed the hydraulic guiding arm to swing to the bucket’s side.
Wain-Roy Company sold the first hydraulic backhoe in 1948. Between 1948 and 1954, Wain-Roy sold around 7,000 backhoes, mostly through Ford dealers.
In the midst of all of this, JCB introduced the first European hydraulic loader in 1948. With the invention of two-wheeled trailers, Joseph Syril Bamford founded JBC in England. With the installation of a hydraulic power system, this evolved into a four-wheel tipping trailer, which eventually led to the development of the loader. In Ireland and the United Kingdom, the backhoe is known as the “JCB.”
In 1953, JCB combined their hydraulic loader with the hydraulic arm on the other side of a tractor to create the versatile backhoe loader. Although JCB did not introduce their loaders to the United States until the 1960s, the machines were already on the market.
The first factory-integrated backhoe loader was introduced in 1957 by CASE Corporation, an American business. Before JCB came on American soil, American contractors and farmers had already recognized the backhoe’s power and versatility due to increased equipment manufacture. The extensible backhoe didn’t come out for another 14 years.
The Backhoe: Frequently Asked Questions
Is it possible to swap buckets on a backhoe?
Backhoes can be equipped with a variety of attachments and buckets to expand their capabilities. Some attachments may be limited by the machine piece’s size and weight capacity. Before adding a piece of equipment, always check the owner’s manual to make sure the machine is capable of handling it.
Is it possible for backhoes to dig in frozen ground?
A backhoe can dig in frozen ground with the help of suitable attachments. A frost bucket, hydraulic hammer, rotary cutter, or static ripper are all attachments that can assist a backhoe in digging in frozen ground.
What does a backhoe and an excavator have in common?
An excavator is a shoveling machine with a revolving cab that rotates 360 degrees. It is generally used for excavation work and has an arm with a bucket attachment – or any other type of excavator attachment. While excavators are often tracked machines, they can also be wheeled.
A backhoe is a tractor cab equipped with a loader on the front and an arm on the back. Other attachments can be used in place of the arm and bucket. These devices, which are mainly wheeled, are used for minor digging operations, transferring loads and goods, and a variety of other tasks.
Backhoes are more more adaptable than excavators, and can be employed in virtually any industry.
What does a backhoe and a loader have in common?
A backhoe has an arm and bucket on the rear, with the loader attachment on the front, whereas a loader simply has the loader bucket.

ugh..... well, "interesting" is one way of putting it. Kishimoto will be throwing so much shit on top of this (very absurd and very stupid) plan just for it to somehow make sense, so prepare for a lot of bullshit being retroactively introduced just so that the guys responsible for this plan do not come off as complete murderhobos/outright batshit crazy.
My favorite part about the introduction of this plan (which is going to be pretty soon, if you're somewhere at the end of the Pain's invasion arc; I'm pretty sure the "United Nations" arc follows right after it) is that the Very Important and (supposedly) Very Smart people after listening to this guy's drivel just kinda take a deep breath and go "well, that's fucking stupid. and crazy. how the hell does any of this make any sense?" and the other guy blinks at them, coughs, and then acts like he didn't hear the question. And the rest of the plot goes on like this plan totally makes sense and please please please please don't think about it too hard, or the narrative would start falling apart.
Oh dear, oh dear. Welp, you're in for a ride, then. I would not say that I am a fan of Nagato myself, but his arc is at least well executed, with other characters and motivations intertwining together to shape his worldviews. The events he goes through and the impact they have on him make sense. I also quite like the fact that Ame orphans' perspective actually explores the other side of the system - Naruto's plot is so absurdly Konoha-centric, and it's a breath of fresh air when we actually get to see what the life is like for smaller nations that do not have the benefit of large setllements with sizeable military to protect them. It's lovely and dandy that we get to see the various struggles and horrors the kids from Konoha go through throught the generations, but ultimately, they are still quite comparatively priviliged in the fact that they get to have Academy rivalries, exams and all that other childhood stuff, even with the wars going on. People like Nagato, Konan and Yahiko have to fight for a piece of bread every single day AND get steamrolled by the Great Nations every few decades as they fight for power and resources. Overall, Nagato's villain arc is pretty good because it makes fucking sense.
Which I can not say about another villain guy. Like, if Nagato's arc is A tier, that guy's barely scrapes by into C tier. The structure of their arcs is very similar, only fucking issue is - Nagato's actions actually follow through on his ideals (the other guy has story moments where he is literally being a murderhobo for the sake of being a murderhobo, because giving reasons for why he was a murderhobo would completely destroy the shitty redemption arc Kishimoto will be pulling for him), his motivations stem from other characters (not the soggy excuse of one for the other guy) and Nagato's level agency in his crimes and their severity is a lot less (in comparison to the other guy which gets written off by fandom as being manipulated by a certain someone, but if you spend 5 fucking seconds thinking about the timeline - nope, the certain someone kicked the bucket wayyy earlier in the lore, so this guy had been at the top of the chain of responsibility for 99% of his murderhoboness, he IS the one who decided that shredding those kids/plucking those eyes/sending those terrorists is the right course of action). So yeah, if you did not like Nagato, prepare to be blown away in the worst way possible. Or don't, if you will buy Kishimoto's pityfest for that guy, because the narrative will be fighting tooth and nail to show what a poow baby boi he is (and please please please don't think about the thousands of dead that became this way due to his actions).
As for the connectivity to the events - I mean, everything that is going to follow will be as the fallout of Pain's attack? So there will be a major impact, in particular to Konoha's actions in relation to the "United Nations". Sorry, I just find it a bit weird, trying to establish the connectivety and the importance of one event after it had just been introduced, with little to no knowledge of how things are going to proceed, maybe I am missing something here
pain why would you think ninja magic nuclear warfare would be the solution to anything. how is that not 999% worse than what's going on already. pain. please

So. Goodbye Volcano High.
I've been following this game closely since it was first revealed at Sony's Future of Gaming event back in 2020. And after suffering delays brought on by the pandemic, a narrative reboot, and a years-long hate campaign, the game is steadily approaching its August 29th release date. And while I've posted a bit about it here, I haven't properly introduced the game to you all.

Set in a world of anthropomorphic dinosaurs, you play as Fang, a nonbinary pterodactyl and musician. Senior year has just started for them at Volcano High, and Fang's ready to go legit with their band Worm Drama. But their friends and bandmates, Trish and Reed, now have their own diverging interests.
For Fang, it feels like the world they knew is coming to an end.
Except it literally is.

There's an asteroid coming, one that will wipe out the dinosaurs in eight months. And as the day approaches and the threat of extinction becomes more real, Fang is forced to live boldly and make hard choices with the time they have left.
Fang will perform music throughout the game in the form of a rhythm game, and they show how Fang expresses their feelings throughout the narrative. The choices you make will impact the music they play, giving every playthrough its own unique soundtrack.
Of course, there are lots of other exciting activities. You can design your band's logos and posters. You can doomscroll on dinosaur Twitter. You can play TTRPGs with friends. You can check out other dinos' social media profiles. You can get Tarot readings. And your interactions with other characters can unlock past memories you can recall later.
But most important is the game's narrative system. Rather than choices being assigned to a simple button press, you have to move and hold the analog stick on the choice - and the game makes sure each choice feels like it matters.
Choices can have a visual effect to indicate Fang's state of mind. Choices can change before the timer runs out. Choices might require extra input to show how important committing to it is. And you can miss out on choices if you hesitate or wait too long.
This is a game that wears its queer heart on its sleeve with a plethora of gay, lesbian, bi, trans, and nonbinary characters. It has a story that encourages you to truly commit to your thoughts and feelings. Because you're not going to get the chance again. Every choice you make impacts Fang's relationships, music, and story.
There's eight months of your life left. What are you going to do with them? Fight tooth and nail to live your dreams? Patch things up with your family? Finally tell your crush how you feel? Spend time with your friends? Knock out your bucket list? Try to do it all?
Or is it better to leave everything unsaid?
If any of this sounds interesting to you, I highly encourage you to wishlist this game on Steam or on the PlayStation Store.

Is c!Sam losing an eye from his death canon or fanon? 🤔 I know a lot of of people headcanon c!Quackity losing an eye/tooth from his canon death, but as far as I can tell that's never been explicitly confirmed one way or another aside from his scar. Also it kinda doesn't... make sense from a mechanics standpoint? Because what about Techno getting an anvil dropped on his head? Or c!Tommy getting shot in the forehead (I think?) during his and Dream's duel? If we went be the same logic, they'd both have serious brain damage after such bad head trauma, but they're both doing just fine, so why wouldn't things like eyes and teeth regenerate, too? I get that it LOOKS cool from a character design standpoint, but I don't really get the logic of how anything aside from maybe some scarring works within the 3 death respawn mechanic. (Also, does this mean that c!Dream can check "mutilated someone" off his bucket list if it turns out c!Sam did lose an eyeball? Or does that not count? 🤔)
It’s canon, cc!Sam confirmed in a stream that c!Sam’s got a matching scar, and that he lost an eye and made a robotic prosthetic. (If anyone’s got the clip, feel free to link.) and yeah, I’d say that counts as c!Dream’s first mutilation! Good for he, we stan 🥰🥰🥰
As far as permanent injuries for other characters, it’s… a bit of a free-for-all. Obviously c!Quackity’s got his canonical scar, which is even visible on his skin design. c!Ponk has a missing arm. The idea that canon deaths leave permanent marks is somewhere between accepted canon and headcanon, because it’s been explicitly confirmed by cc’s/referenced in canon for certain characters, and not really been talked about for others.
It certainly does seem like respawn from canonical death tends to fix most things from a mechanical perspective but will tend to leave a mark/perhaps lasting damage. Eg, no brain damage from a pick through c!Q’s skull, but a scar over his face. I think the logic works—it simply takes more energy to recover from a true death, and the universe wants to show that there’s evidence.
Basically, how I view it is that the logic behind a death system that distinguishes between deaths with weight and those without would certainly seem to imply the same for massive injury.

Hi 💓
It is the month of Ramadan and I want to avoid reading any smutty/steamy fics for the month. Which is why I was wondering if you have any Jungkook or Taehyung non smut fic recs? It can be fluff or anything just no explicit sex scenes. Thank you for your recommendations you are literally my favorite page on this platform 💜✨
🌷 Hello @dhabatae101. First, I wish you and other followers a happy, safe, and blessed Ramadan. Ramadan Mubarak! ✨
I decided to answer this right away so I tried compiling my reblogs (plus those fics I haven’t reviewed yet) and authors that “specialize” in fluff/angst. However, the list went on and on 🤭. So, I will split this post into two:
Part 1: authors that have more SFW content in their catalog (you are here)
Part 2: non-smut fics (my reblogs + other recs) - Taehyung | Jungkook
(Fluff/Angst) Smut-less Fics | Taehyung & Jungkook
🌷 Part 1 (Recommended Authors)
@jimlingss - Kina’s masterlist is just a dream. No two stories are the same and every fic is just memorable. A truly prolific and consistent writer. Usually witty, fluffy, and charming but the angsty fics are also deadly. I posted my fave JJK and KTH fics - the Worshipers Series can be read independently but better if read sequentially to better understand the “universe”. The Slice of Life Series is also a must, but you can read the KTH and JJK fics on their own but I seriously love ALL 💖.
Worshipers of the Sky - KTH | series [3/3] | 35k | God AU, Goddess!OC, Sacrifice!Taehyung, Worshipers Series | F, some A

*didn’t include Chess of Ice (since this is in the Jungkook Jock AU list)
@inktae - If you’ve been following me I always rave about this author. Mostly her work is of fantasy genre but has a slice of life tone. Her fics are just masterpieces - just beautifully written and viscerally gripping. They remind me of Ghibli films for some reason (like the tone). You can check their fics here (just avoid those with M, usually with sexual content but honestly it’s not explicit). I love everything but if you want to start somewhere, you can try:
Blue Orchids, Moonlight, Home After Rain - JJK Soulmate AU, Hanahaki AU, Angst ⭐ #holygrailfic
First Light - KTH x R x JJK | raved about it here (angst)
Away From the Sun - KTH | soulmate AU

@namjoonchronicles - so I recently binged on this author’s writing (still bingeing on her other members’ fics). Their catalog has a lot of Domestic AUs which are beautiful slice of life pieces. It could be as simple as folding the laundry but it would be so meaningful. I said in one of my reviews that their domestic fics has same vibes as illustrator Puung’s Love is in Small Things. I would like to post my favorites here but I think I recently just reviewed/reblogged tons of their work (you can search my blog for the reviews). Please check their masterlist. Granite Glow is my ⭐ #holygrailfic
@rosaetae - if you like angst that hurts but it all makes sense why the situation had to be angsty, then her masterlist is something to binge on. Not all are angsty, just mind the tags for pure “fluff”. My favorites:

Onyx - JJK | cyberpunk AU, abo dynamics (it is sooo interesting to use abo dynamics this way. Usually abo is associated with werewolf aus but this is like a social classification system in this fic. It is still ongoing but it’s the type of story you can read and remember easily so in case it gets updated you can jump into the next chapter) ongoing | A, F
Wolfsbane - KTH | Werewolf AU, college, soulmates (included in my KTH werewolf fic recs)
Cursed - JJK | Prince x Mage/Witch, Fantasy, Medieval, E2L, action (basically has all AUs I like) ongoing
Enshrined - JJK | this is new! fantasy, fae world, isekai, childhood friends, eventual smut (?) but since we’re not there yet you can still read it smut-less ongoing
@army-author - another prolific writer with a catalog you can binge on. I recently reblogged/reviewed some of my favorites but believe me there are more (I am just lazy with reviewing and such). Personal faves:
Gamomania - JJK | childhood friends | tooth-rotting fluff, slight S
X and O - KTH | fake dating, single parent, teacher AU
A Monster Crush - KTH | childhood friends, angst, fluff, horror, implied S ongoing
All This Stigma - KTH | fwb au, unplanned pregnancy, arranged marriage, divorce, really angsty but I love it!
The Village Idiots - JJK | soulmate au, childhood friends, they’re soulmate-less (or are they?) | tooth-rotting fluff
The Alchemy of Amor - JJK | fantasy au, royalty au, enemies to lovers (new) | F
Fire and Ice - JJK | oh this is probably the first I’ve read from the author, E2L but make it fluffy rivals (he’s fire and she can yield ice), fantasy au, magic | F
Black and White Christmas - JJK | Office AU | F
@thedefinitionofbts - I love how emotionally invested I get when reading their fics. Most of their fics are smut-less but deeply rooted in emotions so I remember the story a lot even if I’ve read some years or months ago (I said in my werewolf fic rec list that there’s this Jungkook fic of theirs that’s really sad and I still imagine him waiting for OC.) Just powerful storytelling. You can check their masterlist and mind the fics with smut. I wanted to list my favorites here but I’ll end up listing everything. If you want to start a fic, I recommend:
A Story that We Paint - KTH x R x JJK | Sci-fi, College AU, Lucid Dreams AU | A, slight F
Our First and Last - JJK, VMIN | Soulmate AU, Sci-Fi | A, F
Kingdom of Crystal Snow - KTH | Christmas, Royalty (yay something purely fluffy)
Corner of the Universe - KTH | Reincarnation AU
other fics I like have S content or too sad
@threeletterslife - I love her fics because they make me dwell and ponder on things but themes are very heavy (I think she has one crack fic though). No smut and you can try all her works if you are in the mood for angst, some pondering, etc. Masterlist here. You can read the Love Chaser Series (though you have to read the Yoongi series first before reading Jungkook’s, it’s one universe).
Whipped with a Cherry on Top - KTH | friends to lovers, crack
The Time Traveler’s Playbook - KTH | time travel AU | F, A
Cuss Out - JJK | High school AU, crack | F
@artaefact - just feel good scenarios and I love her drabbles! I’ve reblogged and oohed aahed over the drabbles that are short but powerful scenarios.
incandesce + warmth drabble - JJK (safe to say, you can read all their drabbles) | F
Aeturnal - KTH | fantasy au, royalty au (I loooove this. it has inexplicit S though, you can skip)
A Letter in Roses - KTH | husband au, valentine au
Calling You Mine - JJK | College AU, S2L, tooth-rotting fluff
@augustbutwinter - a writer to watch out for. August delivers so much even with minimal word count; they can get you emotional (fluffy or angsty) and it is so easy to visualize the image she is trying to describe. Just wonderful. The words just flow easily too so the fics are not difficult to read/imagine. I recommend the ff:
My Tears Ricochet - KTH | ghost AU, roommate AU, fluff (sometimes angsty), drabble series ⭐⭐
Rose Coloured - JJK | post college AU, some sort of reunion with an old flame | F
@akinnie75 - What a wonderful storyteller. I would binge on her fics for their plot/storylines. Usually it feels as if you are reading a tale. Several of their fics ended up in my #holygrailfics (the namjoon and jimin ones). You can try:
Ghost Marriage - JJK | fantasy, idol au, kind of arranged marriage | A, F
Until Spring 1 | 2 - JJK | Romance, Fantasy, visited the Freesia Island for Spring but taken for Arranged Marriage instead | A, F
Moonchild - KTH | a tale about the legendary Moonchild, a mythical creature known for its ability to heal life of all sorts
🌷ggukkienote:
I’d also like to recommend checking the fics in each of the reading lists and Fic Recs by theme. You’ll find these lists in the NAVI page. Fics/Titles included per list are usually tagged for A/S/F content.
I will update this once I remember other authors that focus on A/F

The Flower Shop Owner

CHAPTER TWO
This morning was different from the rest, the bed was still gathering warmth from both Victor and I's bodies. Looking at him I can see his posture lacking, the angry scars stare back at me, I inch my way closer to him and wrap my arms around his naked waist. "Good morning" mumbling into his abs as he places one of his hands onto the top of my hair that is disheveled from the night before. A moment like this was something we treasured as well, being in each other's arms in the early morning. Victor takes some time to look at his small blackberry but in seconds places it down on the small table next to our bed. "You're still in bed," asking, as I release him and sit up just like he is, "haven't gotten anything from the boss so I'm not on the clock." I start to pick up the clothes that I lost last night and make my way to the master bath. "Well since you're not on the clock, keep me company in the shower," I say in a teasing manner as I look back at him. Showering with Victor was rare since he would be up and ready way before I open my eyes for the day, either way, it felt nice.
Victor had a system to his clothing, he cleaned his own clothes and he folded his own as well. He kept his shirts crisp and clean in individual sections in the dresser and he neatly folded his pants in the closet in a small tower, granted victor's fashion was limited to one outfit and only wearing neutral colors. He still seemed to catch my attention with the simplest colors and outfits. I, on the other hand, loved the fashion of Gotham to the point of buying some overpriced pieces and not wearing them once. I want to wait for the perfect moment to bring it out for victor and the world to see. Our morning today was slower than others, after dressing we each went to the kitchen and made a small breakfast that would wake us up. Sweets were always in our home, from sugary cereal to the freshest baked goods. They never stay for long since Victor has a major sweet tooth. Hot tea seemed to wake me up in the morning, the warmth of a mug of green tea filled the drained battery that is my body. A ritual that we have before we leave the apartment was us grabbing our wedding rings and putting them on together. I would put it on my finger and Victor would have to hide his by turning it into a necklace of sorts, it hides well thanks to the layers of black clothing.
Leaving and in a short, while entering the shop Victor seems eager to work. "Can I cut those?" as a reference to cutting the stems of flowers for bouquets, that job was to him the best for the reason of using shears to cut them. "a lot of discount one huh?" "Yeah a guy came in here yesterday and bought one, and they are the cheapest ones here." "You get the top-of-the-line flowers so, of course, they're going to be a pretty penny," he says as he helps to lift buckets to hold the bouquets. A loud sound came from Victor's area, the tune Funky Town played, Answering it his face become stone-like showing no emotions. "got to go the boss has a job for me." putting his blackberry back in his blazer pocket he walks over to me and gives me a loving kiss on the lips. "I'll be sure to call if it lasts longer than planned." "Okay, be safe out there rockstar." and with that victor leaves the shop and waves me goodbye through the front window.
Crime in this area was a normal occurrence, carjackings, muggings, and robberies were the top crimes in this part of Gotham. With this property being pretty much Falcone property not that many people try to rob me or anything. So having two men from the GCPD in here was strange. I instantly recognize one of the men, he was the one who bought a discount bouquet from me. "You're miss y/n yes?" The man said. "Yes, I am, is something the matter?" "Miss I'm afraid to inform you that you are under arrest for conspiracy." His scruffy partner told me as the clean-cut one proceeds to handcuff me. "What! I don't understand! Please you're making a mistake." I continue to plead with the men but my voice reached only deaf ears it seemed.
The way the silver handcuffs rubbed my wrists was uncomfortable. I was placed in a chair that I assumed was the officer's desk chair. His scruffy partner was seated at his desk in front of me. "Don't I get a phone call?" A sigh was heard "you have the right I guess." Pushing the black phone my way he returned to the paper he was reading. I quickly enter Victor's number, it only took two rings before he answered with a questioning tone. "Vic?" I whispered into the phone but not in a way to make it look suspicious. " angel? Why are you calling me on a different number, what's going on?" I hear his voice rise and his breathing was sharp. "I'm at the GCPD, I don't know why I'm here, they arrested me, Vic, please come get me." I could sense that my voice was shaking, my eyes had a burning sensation as if I was going to start crying. "Don't worry, I'm coming for you." The call ended.
It didn't take long for the air in the room to turn cold and thick. The sound of heavy footsteps echoed throughout the station, the silence was almost painful to endure. Looking over the ledge, Victor with a gun in hand and flared nostrils makes eye contact with me. I leap up from the chair holding my cuffed hands to my chest. "What the hell!" The shag dog man stands up as well and calls out for this partner. A standoff seemed to commence as Victor states down the officer in front of us. "What is it this time Zsasz?" I turn my head to Victor, I try to walk to him but embarrassingly trip over my own two feet and proceed to force me to land on the floor. My perspective on Victor's clean shoes let me see the motion of him turning and helping me back upright. "You have what's mine, Jim." With that, he brings out his gun once again and shoots up at the ceiling. "Everyone out!" Like a school of fish, the light diverse crew of officers left the station swiftly.
Returning upright I clunch Victor's black blazer jacket, the two detectives staring in confusion at the interaction between Victor and me. "Zsasz, what are you doing here?" the man that was freshly named Jim spoke to Victor with a confident voice. "I'm here for her" "I don't know your relationship with her but, she is under investigation so I can let that happen." "Investigation? For what?" releasing my hands for Victor I take a step to them. "Your name is y/n l/n right." Silence came, I fidget with my fingers "well actually, my name changed in the last couple of years." "You changed your name? yeah that doesn't look suspicious at all." his older counterpart says as he seems to grab a tan file folder. He opens it to revile a small photo of myself with my record attached to it. "That's you!" pointing at the file in question. "Have you got the updated version of my file though sir?" Sucking his teeth he grabs that file once again and looks through it, turning a page he let out a large deep sigh. "Jim, come look at this." "What the?" "My last name changed to Zsasz two years ago."
"Oh god please let it be that your his long-lost sister or something!"
"She's my wife."
"Shit."
