Chapter 22: Post-nut Charity
Warnings: Suggestive
All too eagerly you latched onto the side of his neck. His blood thrummed beneath your lips, spilling over into your mouth when you re-opened the small cut he gave himself using your clawed fingernail with your teeth. The warm nectar poured into your mouth and you swallowed it greedily. Zoro surely wasn't going to be making your eyes roll back any other way but by feeding you tonight. You didn't mind the inexperience. It was cute... and sort of hot. That just meant you could mold him into whatever type of fuck you wanted him to be. Right now, though, you only wanted him to be dinner, maybe even dessert, if he could go another round.
You felt him tug at your hair, prompting a hum of pleasure from you. He tugged again, harder. Does he want to play rough? You turned just enough to see him a touch paler than normal. Swiftly, you licked over the cut so that it would close, smiling apologetically, not really sorry, but a learned human response. He had been trying to get you to stop. You had possibly overdone it in your excitement and he appeared slightly ill.
"Sorry! I can't help it. You taste so good." You purred.
"Yeah well. Control yourself." Zoro put his hand to his forehead to stop his head from spinning as he got out of the water.
You laughed and stuck your tongue out at him as you donned your clothes. "You first." You pointed to his half-hard dick. Poor thing didn't have enough blood to power it.
"Shut up!"
"It's like you've never been with anyone before.... oh wait." You giggled.
"I'm starting to feel that regret you were talkin about," he grumbled.
You rolled your eyes. "Sure you are. Tell that to him." You nodded your head in the direction of his weak boner.
After your dalliance with Zoro, you decided you should probably clean your clothes. They were soaking wet from being in the water with you, which was usually not an issue since they dried quickly. However, Zoro did infuse that water with his nut, so it would be best to rinse them. You stared at the clothesline in front of you. You didn't have spare clothes. As somewhat of a nomad, you traveled very lightly. There were several articles swaying gently in the breeze. You stayed away from anything belonging to Nami. You were pretty sure you already had some debts to pay and you didn't need any more. A red-striped shirt caught your eye, or your nose rather. Even cleaned, it still smelled like Zoro. You plucked it off the line and threw it over your head. Snatching a pair of Sanji's boxers and Usopp's bandana, you threw those on too. They shouldn't mind. They had other things to wear. You rinsed your clothes and hung them up on the clothesline to replace the ones you borrowed.
It was early evening and Sanji was working hard in the kitchen to prepare dinner for everyone. Everyone else was off doing their own thing. The only person you found on deck was Brook, who was playing one of his favorite songs. You joined him, sitting on a crate that was lying around. You listened to a few bars to pick up the words and joined him in a duet. You didn't often sing for fun, only when you hunted. You had wanted to join Brook before, but associated singing with hunting and didn't want to apply that to your friends. Since there wasn't an audience at the moment, you felt free to sing along. It was nice to feel unrestrained. Even though you had joked about it earlier, it was hard to have self-control when you were used to doing whatever you wanted to without consequence.
"That shirt is very becoming on you, my fair lady. But might I ask, what of your panties?" Brook idly played his violin between songs.
You lifted the hem of the shirt to show Sanji's plain boxers that you were wearing as shorts.
"Boooooo. Those are no good." Brook paused thoughtfully. "You need something with lace."
"But that doesn't cover anything."
"Precisely!"
Humans were so confusing. First it wasn't appropriate to be bare, then it's too much fabric. Now, wear something that covers things but not really? What was the point? You sighed as Brook started up a new song. This was one you knew. You started to sing along with him again when you noticed Robin and Franky had joined you on deck. Their presence made you fade off bashfully.
"Keep going, little mama! That was suuuper!"
"Yes keep going. Pretend we're not even here." Robin put her hand under her chin, as she always did when she was deep in thought.
When you caught the chorus again, you joined back into harmony with Brook. A smile was brought to your face watching Franky playfully twirl Robin around in time to the music. Soon they were joined by Sanji and Camie, at Sanji's insistence of course. Nami danced by herself until Usopp came up from below deck, then she grabbed him and forced him into the fray. Luffy found his way to the impromptu concert only because he thought the noise signaled dinner time, but once he was there, he joined in too. You and Brook danced together as he played and you sang, stepping around each other and spinning in random patterns. Off to the side, Chopper kept looking at everyone dancing and then at Zoro, who had his arms folded leaning against the wall, probably glaring at his shirt on you. Eventually, Zoro gave in to Chopper's puppy-dog eyes and placed the deer doctor on his shoulders. Luffy pulled them into the group and Zoro stiffly swayed while Chopper cheerfully waved his arms in time with the music.
This was something new for you. You had never experienced anything like it. Usually, you were so focused on picking out someone from a crowd to pursue, you didn't take time to appreciate and enjoy the songs being played. This was different. It was magical to you to see everyone coming together to enjoy the music as a whole. And it wasn't only Brook's playing that they enjoyed, it was your voice, too. Your cheeks turned a hue of pink thinking about the warmth you were feeling. Maybe you were starting to understand what "nakama" meant, and why humans preferred to be in groups. Maybe you weren't meant to be a solitary creature after all.
Zoro hadn't stopped scowling at the sight of his shirt being adulterated by you. He set Chopper down to dance with Luffy, storming over to you and pulling you aside as the song ended.
"Oi! Why are you wearing my shirt?"
"I needed a shirt."
"There are plenty of other shirts!"
"Yeah... but only this one smells like you. And I like you." You meant "like" as in "I like pizza." or "I like the color green.", yet Zoro was turning pinker by the second.
"Hah?! It's a little soon for that don't ya think?" Zoro sputtered, turning an even deeper shade of red.
You furrowed your brows. "Oh." Apparently there was an unspoken rule about a certain amount of time passing before you were allowed to like something. "When can I?"
"When can you what?!"
"When can I like you?"
Zoro was speechless. He didn't know what to make of that. Did you even know what you were saying? "Wha-? I mean- Fuck, I don't know. Why do you even like me to begin with?"
You shrugged. "You have a nice flavor."
"That's it?"
"Yeah basically." You nodded and thought some more. "Adequate cock size-wise. Needs work on the skill level, obviously." You went on to list several more physical qualities that you thought were impressive for a human.
Zoro soon understood what you had actually meant. Though, he found himself oddly let down by the realization. You were in the middle of describing the heaviness of his balls when he interrupted, "Okay. Okay! You can stop." His face was beet red and pinched his brow. "Gimme my shirt back...please."
You began to lift it over your head and he caught your arms.
"Are you even wearing anything underneath? Like a b-bra?"
"No."
Zoro pushed your arms back down. "Just... keep it on."
"Really?"
Zoro sighed heavily. "Yeah..."
"You seem like a grump, but deep down you're a real softie, huh?" Your eyes flicked between his legs. "Except for where it counts."
"Would you give it a rest?!"
"Aw. Sure we can give your fourth sword a break." You fake pouted.
"Woman!" Zoro exclaimed, frustrated. "Go back to singing."
You bounded off, giggling, to join the others again.
"Little fucking monster," Zoro muttered, trudging behind you.

I played and enjoyed Rune Factory 5 well enough when it came out, and I do believe I like and defend it more than a lot of people. But honestly, trying to go back to the game now, after having played so much more of RF4 than I had at the time? It's difficult.
IMO one of the best aspects of the Rune Factory series is the replayability. It has a simple game loop that can suck you in, while also allowing players a lot of choice in their game in regards to what monster allies they get, which townspeople they actually take into dungeons, and of course, who you romance.
But as much as I DO like the characters and relationships in RF5, it's just NOT FUN to replay. All the problems that I had but pushed past in my initial playthrough are still there, as well as a lot more problems I have now that I know and can better compare it to RF4.
I could go on about all the issues the game has and how outside a few nice quality-of-life changes, RF4 is better in nearly every way, much more immersive and lively, but plenty of comments like that already exist, both here and on other sites.
Mostly I'm just... sad about it. I really DO enjoy the characters and was looking forward to playing the game much more optimally than my sloppy first run where I took FOREVER to get a love interest seeing as I didn't realize they were guaranteed to reject me if I had any side story going on (because the confession is also considered a side story) and I was always going right from one character's events to another until finally exhausting all of them. But I can only force myself to play for like 2-3 hour bursts before I have to stop and do something else.
Ideally I'd like to experience romancing and marrying all the characters in this game, but I genuinely don't know if I can get myself to play the game enough to beat it and romance a small handful of characters ONE more time, let alone several. It just makes my frustrations and complaints pile up until I feel like going back to RF4 instead, which solves nothing when what I yearn for is a better game with THIS cast of love interests. Instead of the wonderful (not perfect, but still great) game that I've already seen nearly everything there is to see.
