“come back inside, eren. we’re all waiting for you.” your voice is so soft, he can’t help but shut green eyes away as you cup the side of his face with the softness of your palm, letting the tips of your fingers twirl through his chocolate brown locks in a way that makes the stress sag from his body. “our son wants to see you blow out the candles, make a wish before mommy puts him to bed.”

“we’ll put him to bed together. i just—“ eren is so fucking lucky, he’d be a fool not to take that as fact. you’ve given him everything; a happy life, a home, a beautiful son, and all the love he could ever ask for— even after everything he’d been through, everything he’d put you through over the years. he wasn’t the best to you, not always, but you stayed. when his parents died, when the world gave out beneath his feet and he couldn’t stand up on his own. you shouldered his burdens with him even though he wasn’t as half as good to you as he should have been. but he loves you with everything he has and everything he doesn’t.

he sighs in content, brought back to reality when you cup his face with two hands instead of one and he opens his eyes just to see how worried you look. “i’ll be there in a minute. just…stay out here with me for a bit.” eren wraps his hands around your wrists softly, grounding you while you ground him and his unfairly long eyelashes flutter against your gentle palms.

“okay,” you breathe, relieved that he’s back from wherever his mind had taken him. back to you. “another minute. as long as you need, ‘ren.” there’s that pet name again, the one tied to distant memories of summers and melting ice-pops and scraped knees. you’ve known him so long, you still know how to make his heart race and you’d even given him the honour of being called your husband.

eren loves you so much. he wonders if he’s told you that he loves you today or if he’s made you feel as such. you always make him feel loved, you take care of him and your beautiful son a little more than yourself— but he swears he’ll always be there to pick up your pieces if you fall apart like he’s done before. you need looking after too, and eren knows it’s silly but sometimes he holds back on his hurt and anguish because he knows you’ll drop everything to make it go away.

you’re his partner, his wife, his first love, the mother of his child and his equal— but eren won’t let you give away any more pieces of yourself, even if that’s what you’re supposed to do when you love each other. he’ll keep you whole, feed you pieces of himself instead, keep your world spinning because he loves you.

that’s why he doesn’t tell you about the nightmares he’s been having lately. the ones of another world. the ones where he tells you he’d flatten the world for you if you told him to and the one where you look at him as if he’s a monster.

even there, you find it in your heart to love him.

he’s so much bigger than eren had realised, maybe time is slipping away from you both. he’s almost two, has eren’s eyes and his untamed hair, but the face is all yours. that smile, the one eren’s son is giving him is so big and bright and beautiful and it’s all yours. another gift you had given eren, another person to love.

“hey there lil’ man! daddy’s comin’, okay?” eren grins as his toddler clambers into his lap to give him a slobbery kiss and a squeeze— making his head spin with adoration. even more so than hen he feels you come up behind him and rub his shoulder lovingly. “give momma ‘n i a second, yeah?”

the toddler jumps up to hug your legs next, tugging you in the direction of his aunty mikasa with a pout that could rival eren’s. “sorry for interrupting,” she whispers fondly and apologetically. “he wanted to come get you guys, he’s been trying to ward sasha off from eating the cake.”

“well we can’t have that, can we baby?” you coo as if you’ve got the world beneath your fingers— brushing back your son’s hair before you lift him into your arms, holding him close as if you can’t believe he’s real and that eren gave him to you. your little product of love. “let’s follow aunty mika inside ‘n get papa’s candles going. then aunty sasha can have some cake, how’s that sound?”

“good momma! les’ go! les’ go!” he chants excitedly, laughing along with you as you follow mikasa back into the house— away from the cold outside.

always be my maybe (i feel like this one isn't very well-known, but i adore it! it's about childhood friends who had crushes on each other meeting up years later as adults after losing contact. and the soundtrack is absolutely fire, including the songs by the fictional band 'hello peril')

clueless (literally my beloved! and it's a modern day adaptation of emma by jane austen, executed flawlessly btw)

10 things i hate about you (yet another flawless modern day adaption of a classic, this time shakespeare - everyone must certainly watch it in preparation for the heart killers)

kuch kuch hota hai (really stretching the definition of romcom here, cause i sobbed 2/3 of that movie when i first watched it, but i love it so much, so i must mention it)

legally blonde (this one isn't particularly focused on romance, but the whole plot is just iconic, and - for what it's worth - the love interest is absolutely lovely)

also, again, not romcoms, but when we speak of straight romance i cannot neglect to mention jane austen my beloved! in this case, the adaptations of her books. specifically, emma. (2020), pride & prejudice (both 1995 and 2005), northanger abbey (2007), and - with a slightly heavier heart, as it is my favourite novel and i am not entirely pleased with either of the adaptations, but they are still quite good - persuasion (both 1995 and 2007).

im a big lover of the arts!! both visual (i draw both traditionally and digitally, and have tried painting) and musical (big music fan + very amateur singer and guitarist). i really like movies, but i like movie analysis youtube videos more! in that same vein, i love horror media but am too scared most of the time to actually consume it, so i watch a lot of horror explanation or analysis videos.

im an extremely awkward person to talk to, like severely. also i like minecraft a lot, avid hermitcraft watcher.

Type Fours are so lovely, so internally complex and magnificent and creative despite and perhaps in conjunction with their introversion. I think a fellow introvert would especially appreciate that about you- Anton, specifically.

Another reason I like y’all together is this enneagram type (and MBTI) tends to be very feelings based, very pathos motivated, and that would contrast from Anton whose life and job are so technical, so logos-y. You bring so much light and verve into his life; whenever he sees art, he thinks of you and how it would make you feel. You make him think more about how he feels, you know? The art you create and the way you experience art, the way you enjoy things, makes him marvel.

And you do love to enjoy things with him, to show new things and movies and shows, because his marvel in turn makes things even more fun for you! Anton strikes me as the type of guy who knows nothing about pop culture if left alone, so you get to show him everything. He likes Brooklyn Nine Nine a lot more than he thought. (Terry is his favorite; he also likes yogurt and wants to be a girl dad.) He doesn’t give a single shit about the Kendrick/Drake beef but you’re so animated when you talk about it, he listens raptly. He doesn’t really enjoy horror, but it doesn’t scare him either so he’s a comforting presence whenever you decide to try watching some.

I do not have a reason, but its 16. There's no connection between me and that number, but it is my number.

What's your job?

I'm an attorney. Currently, I practice as an eviction defense attorney, so tenants rights.

If you could go back to school, would you?

If it was free and if I didn't have to do homework or assignments or take tests, then yeah probably, but honestly, having done school, university, and postgrad, I am so so so very over it.

Can you parallel park?

Yep! Fun T Lore Drop Incoming. My father is the one that taught me how to drive and we found this like dead end street that no one ever really used and my father bought his own traffic cones with him and set them up and we spent hours every night for weeks just getting parallel parking down.

Do you think aliens are real?

For sure. I fucking hope so.

Nah...I like watching people drive a manual car though. I think its super hot, ahahaha.

Okay, if I want coffee, I want iced coffee and I need it from like the bodega or the cart because no one else gets my sugar to coffee to milk ratio right. I do not need a fancy cafe, gimme a corner iced coffee any day.

But I'm a chai girl all day everyday. I would have chai like three times a day most of the time. Its been cut down now to when I have time to do the whole making myself chai process. I'll make my own chai hot, but if I want an iced chai, I will splurge on a fancy cafe.

I'm also big into matcha.

First thing you wanted to be when growing up?

I think there's historical data (my kindergarten yearbook) which states that I said I wanted to be a doctor, but I think that was just me at five years old giving the answer my parents wanted.

But my real answer is I wanted to be a judge. This was solely because of the OJ Simpson trial which I watched as it was broadcast on television. The plan was always to go to law school to eventually become a judge, it just evolved as I did.

What movies do you adore?

The Oceans Trilogy + Oceans Eight, Robin Williams Movies (Flubber, Jumnanji, Mrs. Doubtfire), Mad Max: Fury Road, Mighty Ducks Trilogy, Heavyweights, the Clue movie, Hasee Toh Phasee, Lord of the Rings Extended Trilogy, The Mummy...I'm sure there's more.

Do you make your bed? When I remember to/feel like it. Mornings are usually chaos for me, so getting dressed and making myself look presentable usually takes priority over making the bed.

What's your job? Office Manager. I’m happy with it. Definitely not burnt out like I was when I did funerals. I do really miss being a mortician though. Helping people and taking care of them during a tremendously hard time was so fulfilling, and I don’t think I’ll ever not be fascinated by death from a psychological, cultural, and medical perspective. Alas…

A teeeeeeny tiny Tolkien illustration of Smaug above the crook of my left arm, a hand holding a candle and a flower with the solar system around it (the universe I guess according to the artist? That’s what she called it at least. Its dope and I love it) on my right thigh, a tribal-esque snake that I drew when I was 19 and decided I needed it on me permanently, so it’s between my shoulder blades and has aged terribly. Going to get that covered up with a Big Ass Panther or something probably. Aaaaand a tragic stick n poke on the inside of my left ankle that I did when I was 17 and thought I was edgy. It looks like nothing. Just a bunch of faded dots of ink in the suggestion of a circle. I love tattoos and held off getting any after my snake for so long because I was worried about family and society judging me, but I’ve recently realized how absolutely fucking ridiculous that is, so I’ve already got my next three planned out lol.

Favorite types of music? Any and all. If it’s got a danceable groove or great lyrics, it’s for me.

Do you like puzzles? Hyperfocusing on jigsaw puzzles is one of my favourite pastimes, but I have two cats, and one of them especially likes to “help” so I just don’t bother these days lol. Some brain puzzles stress me out, and numbers don’t work properly in my brain so stuff like Sudoku isn’t for me. I really enjoy riddles and logic puzzles.

Favorite childhood sport? I really enjoyed most sports as a kid and am a naturally athletic person. I really wanted to do hockey, but certain people thought that dancing was more appropriate for a girl, so into ballet I went for years. I did enjoy dancing a lot, and after I quit ballet and jazz, I started ballroom dancing and competed in country ballroom and swing until I turned 18.

ya know what..... Kalim is one of those sunshine characters that naturally interacts and "befriends" so many characters. It's always the sunshine characters that I'm drawn to put in a giant poly-hole where basically everyone is in love with them. It just makes sense.

Kalim x Silver: He's always waking Silver up in class and tries to help is drowsy spells. They're also just one of the few genuinely sweet guys on campus so it's pure fluff. A bonus advantage is that since Silver is a Trained Knight (or on the road to be) he can protect Kalim from assassination attempts.

Kalim x Ruggie: Eat The Rich w/ a twist. My precious hyena boy DESERVES to get married to a sincere Sugar Daddy (or as my gf and I like to say, Sugar Bestie™). He's worked hard enough and Kalim is one of the few upper class individuals that would NEVER use his money or status to control, manipulate or abuse another. He just wants to help out and the endless positivity would not only bring Rugs outta his comfort zone but would also impact those in his hometown A LOT.

Riddle x Kalim: Not a favorite, but I get it. Two kids from wealthy families (one more wealthy than the other) who were kinda isolated from the "regular" world and gotta figure shit out for themselves away from their former caretakers. Obvi, very different contexts and personality but that's what helps them depend on one another. Even when they can't relate, they can Listen and Grow together.

Floyd x Kalim: ARE YOU KIDDING THEY'RE ADHD BUDDIES?!?!? Not only can they relate with similar neurological issues, but their common interests can be a safe zone for them to bond. On top of that, even with their reckless personalities and their overall lack of forethought, Floyd is STRONG and could protect Kalim from any pushback or consequences. They're also both raised by Extreme Capitalist (even thou we don't exactly know what the Tweels parents DO) so the business sense and exposure to the darker side of things probably wouldn't be too much of an adjustment for either side.

Obvi Jamil x Kalim: I know not everyone likes this ship (and considering the dynamic and difference in power/status I TOTALLY get it). Even if the relationship is seen through platonic soulmates, brother-like, or just a 'we-were-stuck-together-for-years-and-now-we-don't-know-how-to-live-apart' sitcom kinda vibe they'll ALWAYS be linked together. Besides, an angsty, complicated childhood friends to lovers story with repressed mutual pinning is a guilty pleasure of mine lol!

Whoever he gets paired with, regardless of if it's a ship that has an anchor in canon interactions or PURELY fueled by fanon crack, there's a billion tropes to work with before even having to dip into AU or Crossover. Kalim is a COMPLEX CHARACTER with so many random lore drops and info that has so much potential. Even when people are writing or creating fan-produces with a more 2d version of his character, he's still lovable!! He's one of the few reoccurring characters in a cast full of obnoxious, weird, arrogant, awful, annoying, egotistical, pigheaded teenage boys with the power of NUKES.... And isn't completely terrible.

Lemme reiterate, that I LOVE so many characters in Twisted Wonderland but boy do these kids get on my nerves. They're all little assholes in some way or another, but there's a range between "okay, pretty standard high schooler" to "IDC IF YOURE TRAUMATIZED NO AMOUNT OF BACKSTORY CAN EXCUSE YOUR ATTITUDE AND BEHAVIOR!!!!! YOU'RE A FUCKING INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL WTF" and Kalim is a lot chiller. He's irrational sometimes and often does things without thinking it through.... But he's also a kid who's allowed to make mistakes and grow now that he's away from the bubble he grew up in. He can interact with people of all walks of life and get that perspective.

And depending on who he's paired with, romantic or otherwise, it's fascinating and heart wrenching and awe inspiring to watch him grow through the lens and experiences of the other person(s).

there are too many ships I love for me to pick one. This is hard. I have to say I love Linzin as an adorable classic romance or a grand tragedy. I’ve read a lot of fics where they are childhood friends and/ or soul mates and I just love that. Star crossed lovers. Best friends. Two peas in a pod. It’s just so sweet. Fics where they manage to work it out are so sweet. But my guilty pleasure is fics where even with this grand love their legacies pull them apart. It’s just so sharp and cutting. I love angst fics too so when turnmoil other than their legacies pulls them apart it’s just so perfect to me.

Digimon lol... Specifically about Takeru and Hikari. If you're a digimon fan then you know damn well they are THE ultimate childhood friends to lovers ship.

The fic wasn't any good tho ngl. Sooo melodramatic. But I was like twelve, so what can ya do.

I think the first fic I wrote for was the kdrama Dream High. But with an original cast of characters, about the "eight years after high school" epilogue where the new cast parallel and look up to the OG's. I was around fourteen and Hyemi and Samdong still remain one of my favorite black cat/golden retriever ships. My writing with wenclair's dynamic is probably heavily influenced by those characters. The love triangle in that show was actually good with both guys being sweethearts to the girl. Now that I think about it... Hyemi was basically Wednesday (pokerfaced rich girl tsundere whose whole thing was that she was a classical singer forced to sing pop) without the murderous aura, Samdong's Enid but a boy with an actually supportive mom, while Jinguk was a lot like Tyler with his daddy issues except he's an actual great guy. Sorry I'm probably speaking gibberish considering I'm talking about what by now is a super old kdrama. The songs were great tho, peeps who like korean music should check it out if they haven't. It was basically the High School Musical of korea.

From the one's I've already done, there's the fake dating and childhood friends to lovers. At the top of my head I can't think of a specific trope I like that I haven't done yet, tho I'm sure there's some out there.

I'm don't think I wanna talk about my guilty pleasures hahaha Smut fic related stuff, let's just go with that. Not because it's bad, it just isn't the kinda thing I wanna discuss in the internet.

If I see "major character death" I'm outta there. Or ones where one of them is a ghost.

how i feel about the LIs… oh my…

robin the orphan is an irresistible sweetheart. they seem to genuinely care so, so much. definition of childhood friends to lovers. there is something pressurizing about their reliance on pc, when their trauma is high and they need saving. sometimes the guilt is a lot to bear, but it’s worth it for them.

whitney the bully is one of my favorite li’s. i have a soft spot for violent, toxic relationships, and they hit all my marks. when i played my first runthrough, i fell in love with them. they are brash, dirty, cruel… i prefer them domineering.

eden the hunter is another favorite… the idea of being a little hunter’s boywife, there to be subservient and struggle under stockholm syndrome… i personally want to be a little pet yknow? what i wouldn’t give to have my needs met by a cold, domineering person like that…

kylar the loner… yandere tropes are some of my favorite tropes. their willingness to attack strangers at high jealousy, their ability to conform to whatever i desire them to be, wanting to baby trap the player… i want to be the only one for them, just like how they are the only one for me.

avery the businessperson is probably the closest to my ideal irl type, in that they are a sugar parent to pc. i love them because of their money, their toxicity, their kindness they show at high love… i want to be their arm candy, desperately.

the black wolf is misunderstood to me! i’m just a poor little monsterfucker, you see, so i have a bias. all i can say is i wouldn’t mind being passed around by a bunch of wolf hybrids in the woods.

the great hawk… oh, my darling hawk. my life partner. the more sane of the two hybrids. i have yet to ever meet the great hawk in game, but i want to do a playthrough just for them. i want to be their little bird forever.

alex the farmer is my favorite li. they may not be the best at getting pc off, but their love is genuine. they care, they are genuinely kind. they want to protect their farm and run the family business. they are the only li in-game to have fully developed plot lines if pc gets pregnant and has a baby on the farm. they are an ideal partner, and i’ll happily be a homesteader with him.

sydney the faithful/fallen is my guilty pleasure. corrupting an innocent mind, helping them fall from grace, dragging the godly down to hell with me while we accept pleasure, it’s one of my favorite guilty pleasures.

wren the smuggler gets me hot and bothered. i’ve never run into them in-game, not yet at least, but the idea of playing strip blackjack with them and then having to sit on their lap while we play together makes butterflies fly around in my stomach. i’m bad at cards, i hope they teach me so i can lose on purpose.

bailey the caretaker… i have daddy issues. i have a thing for much older guys. they are rude, evil even for how they run the orphanage, cruel for demanding so much money even if we leave the orphanage behind… i’d let them do whatever they wanted to me.
