The Blake lively this is people are turning on her because 1) she got married on a plantation and tired to say she didn't know the history of it while also having a website dedicated to bringing back the antebellum era and 2) with the movie it ends with us coming out the movie is based on a book about domestic violence and she is trying to market it as a rom com to dress up and take your ‘girls too’ and also using this film as a way to promote her hair care line people who have read the book and are dv survivors have rightfully called her out. Since that call out happened people have also been quick to notice some of the other things that she has been doing on this press tour and admitting that Ryan had broken the WGA strike by rewriting lines during filming. It was also made known that after Blake had iced out the director, co-writer, and fellow actor in the movie in June there was a screen test done where audiences watched 2 cuts of the film. One being the current cut that is playing at theaters, and the other cut that Blake had made using the deadpool editor that made the movie a rom-com and minimized the domestic violence. The author of the books was in full support of Blake but the author is also paying off people to keep their mouth shut about her son being an abuser and rapist.

it kind of feels like they suddenly realised almost all their female characters were overlooked and they tried to shove them in to be like ‘ohhh look we care about our female characters’ and then screwed them over by making them either insignificant or nothing more than a cameo

with the exception of tex maybe. i fully did not expect her to come back prior to watching but when caboose was like oh help me remember i started to get a feeling it wouldn’t be church. i’m also so glad they addressed the whole ‘created from failure/destined to fail’ thing, tex fuckijg deserved that win. sad that she died though (i wasn’t expecting that either and was like fully geared up to start making post restoration fanart of carolina and tex hanging out and learning how to be friends/family again)

I don't know who else to express my conern to, but... it seems to me that Joe hasn't been wearing his wedding ring lately? I first noticed it in the China pics and thought maybe he just forgot it at home or something, but I did a quick look through 2ourdust pics and it seems to be missing then, too??

i was going to answer this when i saw it in my inbox yesterday but tbh i genuinely got too high last night to type coherently LMFAOOOO. BUT this is the RIGHT PLACE to express this concern because i actually am a slightly insane person who pays like TOO MUCH attention to wedding rings due to the fact that they make me Feel Ways, so i actually have a lot to say about this!!! i am the co-president of the joe trohman hands and ring committee after all (shoutout ash)…however, tldr: i would say that him not wearing his ring is not a bad sign to ME bc of the evidence on this matter. and i’m putting it under a cut cuz i kind of typed a lot here 😭

joe didnt wear his wedding ring almost at all on tourdust or eurodust either (there’s the joe coffee run picture that he’s wearing it, but i believe that was taken in la, and he lives in la, so he could have just dropped it off at home or whatever lol), but it actually goes much further back than that! iirc joe started first inconsistently wearing his wedding ring in 2017 or so, and he and his wife had a baby the next year, so it is not necessarily the sign of a split or anything that he is not wearing it :-)

there could be many many reasons that he doesn’t wear it while touring/playing. it may be the case that he doesn’t like to travel with it for fear of losing it, especially considering his ring was upgraded recently ish it seems. see the pics below, left picture=2019 or so i believe, right picture=early 2023 from the hmlag shoot. as you can see the new ring has a different design, there’s some carving or maybe there’s even like diamonds in the band idk it’s hard to see fully, but it really could be the case that it’s a much more expensive ring, thus not wanting to travel with it because of the cost to replace if he lost it

there are also other personal reasons he may choose to not wear it: it could be for fluctuating finger sizes due to medical reasons or weight changes (i am not implying it looks like he gained or lost weight lol it doesn’t seem that way, but even small weight changes that are invisible to us can impact your finger size, or a high-sodium diet can contribute the fingers swelling more, so on and so forth), it could be the case that it’s become uncomfortable to play in (as an example, there’s that one video from 2013 or so of an acoustic performance where patrick removes his wedding band because of the slide sound it’s making on the neck of the guitar, so it’s not inconceivable that a wedding ring could get in the way/be uncomfortable for playing in), or SOOO many different reasons that he stopped wearing it that we may not know about (and that’s ok!!)

during their last show (or maybe one of their last shows? i can’t remember for sure but def a december 2023 show) he brought out this lil number which appears to be a silicone ring. and he only used this for one show and hasn’t brought it back since, but it just may not have been an alternative that worked for him. i know for example my uncle had a bad allergic reaction on his hands when he tried to switch to a silicone wedding band, so maybe something similar could have happened to joe with this silicone band, or just not liking the feel of it, etc

another piece of evidence that i think should soothe you as well, he was wearing his real ring during his christmas video, even if he wasn’t wearing his ring almost at all during 2023 tour :)

as well, i’m not going to include the pics (but you can find it easily on meredith’s reel lol), but marie was at andy and meredith’s wedding too, just another lil piece of evidence that im not concerned about the state of their relationship :)

lastly, its important to know that he has marie’s initials tattooed on the inner part of his ring finger (the m is covered up by his wedding band in these pics but i can’t find others where it’s more visible lol), so even when he’s not wearing his wedding ring, it’s like she’s always with him :-) and i bet that’s part of the reason that he doesn’t seem overly concerned with finding an alternative band, because functionally the tattoo still shows his commitment to her <33

aside from all of this even, im not worried about their relationship; joe has been head over heels for her from the moment they met, so i think they will be together forever and ever 💖 (and well god forbid if they do ever split i may have to cermet soup of side bc i love them so much…yes im a crazy insane joegirl yes i like rpf BUT ALSO yes i love marie and their relationship in general WE EXIST. do they need a third or perhaps another dog i can bark etc etc)

Finally found a blog that can sympathize with Joe. Love Taylor and sure they are both going through some terrible heartache. But I think this impact Joe the most. We are in no place to speak on someone else’s mental health but at least we know he has anxiety. And rumors of him withdrawing from her leading up to tour, the noticeable weight gain and baggy eyes in movie premieres, I think there’s more than we know.

I’ve been through a withdrawal period before because I was feeling like I was a failure. Lots of restless nights, weight gain, self isolation and feeling worthless. I took a break from everyone to heal and learn to love myself again. So I can kinda relate to him why he wanted a break. Everyone cope differently and we cannot fault them for how they chose to do it. We all have our own demons to fight.

We do not know what goes behind closed doors. But based on facts given, I am comfortable to say he is a gentle, sweet, caring soul, does not read into tabloids, brought up loyal and kind by his mother(according AOTGYLB). Never used her name to gain fame and is a very private person. How can people say he intentionally leaked this out? The breakup is the last thing he would ever want to go public.

If he cared about the imbalance in their fame status, he would be going for commercial movies instead, not indie type films. I just don’t like how he is being portrayed as a person through these news outlet. It’s very dehumanizing to do.

🌙 How does your system handle dreams?

That's an interesting question! Our dreams are kind of Weird (although tbh, whose aren't). It's almost always me fronting while dreaming, and even when S fronts it's nearly always (except for a few memorable cases) like he's "switched in", and still has to use my/our IRL body in the dream--and also, we don't seem to be able to do co-con, somehow? Like, we can switch, but it's all 'backdoor switches', with maybe a second or two of overlap where we can sense/feel each other and then it's back to dream chaos alone. Really wish we could figure that one out, it kinda sucks tbh. We also used to have way more problems with "lucid, but not in the fun way" dreams, where I'd be awake in the dream...but without the stereotypical lucid-dreaming-omipotence thing: it's like being a video game character with no powers and no items trying to navigate an ever-shifting, chaotic (and sometimes not-super-friendly) landscape. - tw unreality/derealization below - Also I'd dream about waking up, and think I'd woken up until something went Weird (for example, realizing that the view outside my window is slightly the wrong angle, or changed since I last looked at it)...then try to wake up, dream about waking up again, etc, for multiple loops/in a row until finally actually being able to wake up. Not super fun, although more frustrating/sad/isolating-feeling than horrific. (The nightmares can definitely get horrific, but those feel more like rapid-onset panic attacks while asleep that cause the dream landscape to shift abruptly or something like that, idk) - end tw unreality/derealization - Some of the more negative dream stuff has gotten better on average, after an odd, multi-day, back-of-headspace episode that I can only describe as "S picked a fight with some part of our subconscious and won", so that's been helpful. I used to be able to "fix" my nightmares by just shifting into dragon shape at-will, but for some reason that seems to be working less well in the past couple of years. I've also had some luck with talking to dream NPCs politely and asking if I could wake up.

Another kind of neat/odd thing I've noticed is that sometimes (I only really notice during lucid episodes, so idk if happens the rest of the time as well or not), the dream's "visual channel" and "audio channel" will be...disconnected, basically? Like, there will be the usual chaos-brain dream landscape going on, with it's 1-3 seconds of stability before shifting, and then a simultaneous mostly entirely unrelated radio-chatter audio track going on "in my head" (like, it's not coming from the dream, it's in my head while I'm dreaming), like hypnogogic auditory hallucinations carrying on into the dream? Feels distinct from system communication, because even though there's clear words and different voices, there's...like, no feeling of substance behind them, and you can't really converse with them. It doesn't feel like a person, it feels like I'm hearing the background-radiation static noise thoughts of my brain translated directly into pseudo-auditory information. We don't get hallucinations (afaik) while awake, so that's interesting!

We've also had one especially long-and-weird lucid dream episode that involved sort of being given a "tour" of a bunch of visual metaphors of brain functions, with multiple rounds of me "floating back up to the surface" of waking and then dipping back down--and during those kinda-awake windows, I could talk to S, who said it felt like he could "see a little into the dream over your shoulder", as though I was standing in a doorway and he was looking past me at what was beyond it--but he couldn't follow me into it, for some reason (we still don't know why). Also I can daydream in dreams. Like, I can be asleep and in a dream, trying to imagine a thing (usually carrying on whatever thread I was following before falling asleep), which stays internal to my head even within the plane of the dream, so I'm like, trying to find a chill spot in-dream to sit and continue the daydream thoughts, but occasionally get interrupted by weird dream stuff and have to look around for a different chill spot. I've tried seeing if I can impose the daydream-visualizations onto the dream landscapes, the way lucid dreams are "supposed" to work (and how they used to work more frequently for me when I was younger), and for some reason they just sort of stay in the "daydream channel" even while dreaming. It's sort of hilariously many layers of meta, and I have no idea why our brain apparently does this currently, maybe it'll change again someday.

So I have a question about something I guess personal but idk how you would describe it. So I know in your bio it says you are 25, well, so am I and I have a husband and a beautiful baby boy (who we named Dustin btw). Everyone in my family and my friends know that I am a HUGE fan girl and my husband doesn’t care either because it’s a celebrity or fictional characters and he said he doesn’t mind as long as i don’t physically cheat on him (which I never would). Well I recently got a different job in a big corporation office and I’ve been working there for about 2 months now. I am really good friends with a few people and everyone else I get along with. Well, on Friday it was a slow day and me and a few other people were all talking about just random stuff and somehow we got on the topic of favorite movies and tv shows. Well I was saying that in October, my husband was going to take me to GA (as we are not far from GA) for a tour of where ST filmed because my husband and I are a huge fan of that show (and plus our anniversary is in October as well) and I was saying that Steve was my favorite character and plus the guy who played Steve (Joe Keery)was very gorgeous as well. well this woman (we’ll call her Marg) she is probably about 35 or 36 (her and I aren’t really good friends and she is kind of snooty tbh) told me that I shouldn’t be obsessing over random celebrities because that will make my husband mad and then he will want to cheat on me. I told her that my husband and I have an understanding when it comes to stuff like that and my husband loves me very much and would never do that to me. So then, this mother fucking bitch says and I quote “well if he was my husband, I wouldn’t do that to him” like okay bitch we all know that your marriage is on the verge of a divorce and your husband would rather play golf then to spend time with you. They have 2 kids but she had her kids (twins) when she was 19 and that’s when her and her husband got married. I told her that she needs to focus on her own marriage and stay the hell out of mine. And she then said that I need to focus on my family and that my son doesn’t need a mom who is a fan girl as I am 25 and need to grow up. Then that’s when my other co workers stepped in and said for her to chill out that what she was saying was very uncalled for. My good friend (we’ll call her Jess) said not to worry about it and she said that Marg is just very jealous of anyone who has a good marriage and who is a great mom. I smiled and said yeah I guess you are right. But that whole day and this whole weekend I have been dwelling over it because it’s in the back of my mind of what if my husband cheats on me or what if my son grows up to hate me?

I haven’t told my husband yet because I don’t want him to worry about anything. I love my husband and son more than anything in this world and I know I am not 15 anymore but I am allowed to have a life.

Is it okay for me to still be a fangirl even though I am 25 and have a family of my own?

There is nothing wrong and there is nothing childish about being a fangirl, there is no age at when you should stop being a fangirl. You can be 40 and still be a fangirl, that doesn't mean that you are childish or that you are a bad mom (what the actual fuck 😭).

Peak behind the fic writing curtains time because I’m re-reading my notes for As Above and thinking about it lol.

So fun fact about the tapes! I wrote a draft for Wilbur’s tapes before I properly finished outlining Tommy’s perspective. I was kinda struggling to piece together Tommy’s story and I needed Wilbur’s outlined first and well… What this means is that I wrote the tapes in order of events, not in the “random” order Tommy found them.

I thought it’d be fun to share that order with y’all, plus it offers a bit of a new perspective on the events of As Above. I put it under the cut because it does contain spoilers for As Above So Below, just in case :)

Also for extra funsies, idk if it’s possible but since there is an order you might be able to figure it out on your own. So if your ARG brain is tingling then feel free to have fun with this, the answers are below. Just note some early tapes got skipped because they were just Wilbur reading notes to the open air which isn’t fun to read or write.

Without further ado this is the order I wrote Wilbur’s story in (along with brief summaries of each tape cos fuck! even I forget what I wrote sometimes lol)

1a - technical difficulties.

Wilbur’s interview with an unnamed resident at Lostfield, who we know is Ranboo! Wilbur learns very little information here, just makes Ranboo freak out!

Wilbur’s rather unhelpful interview with Technoblade, where he receives a nice long list of missing persons who just happened to show up on Lostfield.

3b - possible progress

(fun fact I nearly called this one research and crimes… probably should have tbh, it’s funnier) Wilbur gives an update on some of his personal findings about Techno’s research, and explains his plans to sneak into Lostfield and speak to the owner himself.

4a - interview with the owner

Wilbur does a little house tour and speaks to the owner of Lostfield AKA Dream. Their interview gets weird quickly and Wilbur feels like he’s panicking / losing control of himself.

4b - untitled (ch10)

Wilbur starts recording because he’s just woken up from his visit to Lostfield and he barely remembers what happened.

5a - if I don’t make it

Wilbur decides he needs to go back to Lostfield, he records a note for himself — or whoever finds the tape — incase he doesn’t make it back this time.

Tapes that Wilbur is later given (mentioned in 6b goodbye) that detail his experience in Lostfield. The first tape is Wilbur talking to a voice that we cannot “hear”

Wilbur, or something pretending to be Wilbur, starts recording the follow up for 5a before letting the real Wilbur wake up and have a full blown panic attack

Wilbur summarises what little he remembers from the 3 days he spent in Lostfield, mostly a recap of how he broke into Lostfield.

6b - goodbye

Wilbur recives a package containing a tape (7a and 7b) and he comes to the conclusion he’s in too deep and can’t escape. He uses this tape to say his final goodbyes

8a - untitled (second half of ch12)

Wilbur breaks into Lostfield with the tape recorder in hand. He gives some live insight as to what is down there before he spots something in the middle of the room and Dream appears.

If This Was A Movie: A Brief Retrospective

It's April 2009*, and Taylor Swift has been dumped over a 27-second phone call by Joe Jonas for half a year now. For whatever reason, despite performing the non-single track Forever & Always a LOT during this time (iconic move tbh), she now feels more wistful about that relationship and wishes he'd stayed longer. So she calls Martin Johnson, whom she's a fan of and collaborated with for that Hannah Montana song, and they get together and write If This Was A Movie.

After its release in October 2010, If This Was A Movie had largely flown under the radar, not least because it was a deluxe track. However, it has found some favour among more devoted fans (including a certain prolific YouTuber). Also, as Taylor never officially released the lyrics to this song**, occasionally there are debates on who Eli is, and whether that line in the bridge says "ever", "every day", "wary", "weary" or "worried".

We fast forward a bit and it's now November 2011. Taylor Swift has finally released the deluxe tracks of Speak Now on iTunes for purchase. One of these songs is Ours. It's widely known to be her next single, and she's just performed it live at the CMAs. It's also listed as the first bonus track so you can't miss it. So these songs debut on the Billboard 100, and...

Despite all the promo for Ours, it still comes in lower than If This Was A Movie, which debuts in the top 10. In 2011, streaming still wasn't as big of a deal, so rankings like these depended mostly on digital sales. This means that If This Was A Movie literally outsold Ours. By 17,000 downloads, in fact. Given that the songs cost $1.29 to purchase on iTunes, If This Was A Movie brought in $22k more from downloads within its first week.

Oh, and that old Instagram post I quoted above? It was originally posted on November 8, 2011, which was the first day the bonus tracks were available for download. And If This Was A Movie was already outselling Ours from the get-go.

So why hasn't Taylor Swift, a singer who puts a lot of effort into chasing chart figures, ever acknowledged the existence of If This Was A Movie? It's not like it's problematic like Better Than Revenge or emotionally raw like Dear John.

Here are three theories:

She plain forgot. She already forgot the lyrics to Mine, her lead single, on the Red tour, so it's the most probable reason. Boring though.

Something about Martin Johnson. If This Was A Movie is the only co-write on Speak Now. If Love Story is indeed about Martin Johnson like many people think, then it follows that Martin indeed the "creep" Taylor mentioned in that 60 Minutes interview in 2011, and maybe she doesn't want to give Martin any credit? But then again she performed This Is What You Came For after she split with Calvin Harris.

She doesn't think a co-written song fits on Speak Now, so she wishes it never existed. I will admit I added this after she retroactively added a song to Fearless TV. Maybe she didn't want to put it out but her label (read: Scott) forced her to? Well, I guess this is the correct answer now? Idk really.

Anyway, the song is good and it's a shame that she never performed it.

basically as u said: lance as bassist/vocalist, allura as keyboard/violin/vocalist, hunk as guitar/vocalist (i think lance as the main vocalist and allura and hunk trading off as co-vocalists but not like... backing vocals yk? when either or both aren't singing with lance i think they'd do backging vocals), and pidge as occassional backing vocals and drums/percussion.

Noah: People claim Noah is a zionist because of a picture he took (while visiting Israel) with someone who was in the Israeli military (they were wearing their military uniform in the photo). I was told that the military there acts as a tour guide, but idk how true that is. Other people use a video of Noah saying "I love Israel" as proof. He was doing an online meet and greet with a fan and she mentioned she was from Israel. Noah responded with "I love Israel. Are you Jewish?" she says yes and he responds with "I'm Jewish too!"

Finn: I'm not sure who anon was talking about but I'm going to assume it's Jack Grazer who was his co-star on IT. Jack had allegations against him by his ex gf. She accused him of abusing her. It's easy to google. Jack also allegedly said some racist things on a TikTok live. Finn's girlfriend has also done controversial things (tbh idk if they're still together or not. Finn is quiet about his personal life, but he still follows her insta). She allegedly followed Millie hate pages (millie still follows her as well so I assume she doesn't know about that rumor or doesn't care) and allegedly was gr00ming a 14-year-old boy. Some people say the SS proof for the gr00ming accusations looks edited and the gf never denied or confirmed those rumors. As for him being ableist, during an interview with Gaten, Caleb, Sadie, and Priah, they were asked "What character is the best secret keeper?" Gaten starts giggling and says "Probably Eleven." and Finn chimes in with "She can't speak English!"

Caleb: Has said the R word. He was talking to Gaten about someone (the video doesn't have much context just shows him saying the word) and he says "He is mentally *r word*" and Gaten says "Oh no. He's mentally challenged?" then Caleb responds "Yeah. Mentally challenged. Yeah." The other ableist comment came from that interview I brought up earlier. Caleb basically agreed with Finn's comment and said "Yeah she can't speak." Sadie: From what I know both her and Priah didn't react to the "She can't speak English!" comment.

specific things i miss about my teams+ a few things i'm super looking forward to :3

avs: i miss the 2022 playoff group all the time. like i'd kill to see that pure dominance all the time and i'd kill just to watch people like naz and burly and kuemps play in an avs uni again. i just miss the vibes that season had; cos this one's was super weird even though i'm still very proud of them!! especially of mikko and nate and georgie all for slightly different reasons. i'm looking forward to next season though, even though some of the possibilities the off-season might bring make me nervous. i'm just excited to watch mikko and nate and cale and etc again. i am also hopeful about gabe because so long as they have hope i do please don't crush my dreams

pens: ooo boy i just miss the big three tbh. sid a little more, since i'm basic and he's my favorite lol. i can't say i truly miss much about last season, especially since i am a very new pens fan and started watching them in january (i think). if i could go back and pick one game to savor it'd be the caps one where they gave sid the star cam and geno scored to win it with like two minutes left :> on the other end, i'm very excited and giddy about dubas. i think he could really make a difference and pull the big three to their deserved limelight again; i mean come on, he dealt with a similar situation in toronto and it worked out (on paper at least, the leafs just kinda failed him this year in the second round). obviously, like with the avs, some off-season stuff might worry me but overall i'm excited to see how it turns out. i'm also hyped for the revenge tour tm

canes- i miss.... the first and second round canes. i honestly think if they hadn't met florida they would have done it and gone all the way but i'm trying to just shake it off. i like how this team seems to bounce back well and i think they still have the brighter future ahead. i just miss their fun and easy energy, they're the team that usually makes me feel a bit better after my other teams lose. i'm honestly just looking forward to the bounce back lol. they have a great group there and i really don't want much to change, nor do i think much really needs to. oh yeah and most importantly; i cannot wait to get svechy back

i would add stuff for the oilers/kraken here but idk. the oilers are hella new for me and, though i've kinda moved past my grudge on the kraken, i didn't usually watch the kraken unless my family was. so not too much to say there except that i want burky back desperately and i'm hyped to tune in every now and then to leon and connor's greatness (you gotta soak it in while you can y'know)
